And that is pretty well proven itself in surveys as well, personality-wise, income-wise. So also pick those people carefully and take an audit of the people you are spending your time with. Oftentimes people say, well, I spend a lot of time with my family and those are obviously your choices. but I have certainly seen people who have looked at doing this process, let family members say, no, this isn't going to work, and you're wasting your time, and they've listened to that.
0:49And when you're taking advice, take advice from people who have been there and done that. Take advice from people who are where you want to be. Now, some people have said, well, you know, they just have your best interests at heart. And maybe that's true. But maybe that's not true. And I certainly have had circumstances where someone began to become more successful. And the people they were with said, oh, you've changed. You're not the same person anymore. Maybe that's a good thing, actually. and they let that affect them to say, oh, okay, maybe I should go back to what I was doing before. As opposed to the people that you hang around with, that inspire you, show you a better path, show you how to reach your goals and say, yes, you are changing, but you know what?
1:47It's a positive change. You're getting to where you want to get to and you're getting there through the help of the advice you get. So look at that circle. Look at where you're getting your information. Look at whether, and you can do it transactionally, look at the relationships and say, am I gaining from them or are they hurting me? And I would encourage you, and these are tough choices for a lot of people, to cut out of your life those transactional relationships that are hurting you and put more of those relationships that are helping you. Those are some tough choices. Sometimes those are family members.
2:31Sometimes those are friends. But are they aiding you or are they hurting you? Super important question. and if you do that audit and surround yourself with people who lead you and help you get to where you want to get to, that's a big piece of the success.
