0:04Cameron Harris:I think so. Yeah, you don't know, you don't know what's coming to you. What do you say to someone who says, I just don't have time to exercise? Look. Fill in the blank. I can't start my day without... Coffee. What's your worst excuse from a client for not doing a session? Didn't get much sleep. Did you make them come in or did they? You've got to do it anyway, it's relevant. After 10 years of marriage, what have you learnt? Your wife always knows best. Safe answer. Very safe answer. What's the most common misconception people have about fitness for entrepreneurs? It's got to be really complicated.
0:37Dogs in clothes, hilarious or unnecessary?
0:40Cameron Harris:Unnecessary. What's the number one mindset shift people need to make when starting their fitness journey? You're going to have to change some stuff. Your kids think you are really good at mmm, but terrible at mmm. Really good at cooking, but terrible at Lego. Have you ever trodden on Lego yet? Yeah, a thousand times, yeah. Wow, that's a little bit. What's one small daily habit that gives you huge long-term results? Just breathe. In the morning, is one of your first things like breathing then? Just some, just five, ten minutes where I can grab it. I even just on the train down here this morning, just taking some deep breaths and just clearing your mind a bit.
1:14Cameron Harris:I think meditation people overcomplicate it, especially when you're really busy. People still haven't got time for meditation. You can do it sitting on the toilet. It's not difficult. Protein shakes, yes or no? Yes, as a supplement, not as a food choice. What do your weekends look like? Lots of kids' football, lots of kids' parties normally, and then going for long walks with the dog and the wife and the kids. You get to train anyone in the world for a week. Who do you pick and why? I think I'd like to train Bob Marley. So I can ask him lots of questions about his life because I find him very interesting.
1:47Cameron Harris:And if it wasn't Bob Marley, it'd be Henry VIII. Wow. So two quite opposite choices then. Interesting characters. Very interesting characters. of how do you stay motivated focus on what impacts i'm trying to make in the world i think is the big one for me and sometimes just zooming out of the day-to-day stress that goes on i think why why are you doing this what's the you know aside from finances what impact are you actually trying to have because back to that point earlier about you know walking daughters down the aisle what we do is really really powerful it's really important as well i'm trying to change this industry because it's a bit of a shit show what's the worst fitness advice you've ever heard eat less move more if you turned your family life into at home with a harris's reality tv show who would be the breakout star your wife one of your sons bernie the dog or you probably teddy my eldest because he's a character and he's like an energizer bunny oh does he do any of your fitness stuff he's they work out in the front room now both of them yeah other than i made them do it they just start to do press-ups and stuff which is nice I think it comes back to that kids absorb what you do if you're sitting there sculling pints every night then that's what they're going to want to do right so I think the exercise part is they see me going out running they see me going to the gym daddy can I play this is like I'm going to the gym now I show them that it's a non-negotiable and funny enough now they're doing it which is I think it's brilliant I think that's so good is I say to leaders your team are a reflection of you I had never thought about Actually, your kids are a reflection of you.
3:17Cameron Harris:Yeah, absolutely. What food that is bad for you do you wish was actually healthy? Beer. Sum up AI-driven fitness apps in one word. Lots of words just sprang to my mind there, but I think I probably shouldn't use them. Was it one word? If you can. I don't know if I can do it in one word. Give it three. Okay. I can't even do it in three words. Using a sledgehammer to kill a wasp. If you weren't doing what you're doing now, you'd probably be... Professional bubble blow. Cold plunge or sauna? Sauna. If Truth Fitness had a theme song, what would it be? Mission Impossible. Have you seen the latest film?
3:49Cameron Harris:Not yet. It's very good, very good. Texting or voice notes? Voice notes. I'm with you on that. I hated them to start with. I love them now. People tell me often, they're like, I hate voice notes. They still get them. Yeah, that's great, isn't it? If Bernie, your dog, could talk, what would be the first thing he would say to you? I love my mum. Oh. If you have to ban one type of gym equipment forever, which one and why? That machine that you go in between your legs. Oh, with your legs. Does that not do anything? What waste of time and money that is? A ducting machine, yeah, that's it. A ducting machine.
4:20I'm not going to bother going on that anymore, are you?
4:22Cameron Harris:Well, it's about five grand. It's just, because I've had gyms, you know how much things cost. It's like all the things you can buy, it's a real waste of money. Waste of time. And last one. As a Spurs fan, does always being an Arsenal shadow annoy you? You can tell my husband did this question. Oh, really, yeah? Okay. Well we won a European trophy so we were all right at the moment And I have a feeling he thought you were going to say that as well That is your Files in the Q Thank you so much Cheers
