In short

The host and guest argue that inflammatory rhetoric from Democrats/left-wing groups is driving violence against ICE and Border Patrol, and they discuss recent alleged attacks on ICE/border facilities and ICE’s standards and mission.

Guests

Jonathan Fahey, former acting ICE director (worked for President Trump; led Immigration and Customs Enforcement).

Key claims

Left-wing leaders compare ICE to Nazis/Gestapo and call for ICE agents to be harmed; this incitement is said to lead to attacks and deaths. ICE operations are portrayed as lawful and humane, with due process and civil-rights accountability if misconduct occurred.

Notable examples

McAllen, Texas Border Patrol facility attack (gunman Ryan Lewis Mosqueda, reportedly from Michigan, shot and killed after firing on agents; additional weapons/ammunition found). Alvarado, Texas Prairieland Detention Center ambush (11 charged; fireworks used to lure officers out; officer shot in neck; alleged AR-style rifle jam; attackers reportedly had body armor, spray paint, and “resist fascism, fight oligarchy” flag). Discussion also references MacArthur Park raids in Los Angeles and a White House exchange condemning calls for violence.

2:13All right, everybody. So good as always to be with you. I've got, we've got news now and it's just so frustrating that I have to deal with this shit. I am beyond infuriated that it's gotten to this point. because the left has been using language to absolutely savage ICE officials over and over

2:32Dan Bongino:and over again, saying that they're members of Gestapo, they're Nazis, and on and on and on. And it's led to some very vile and bloody attacks that have taken place just over the course of the last few days. Now, multiple attacks of this nature. I'm going to take them in reverse order. Yesterday, McAllen, Texas, McAllen, Texas, we get an attack on a border patrol facility. Absolute mayhem there when an active shooter ambushed border patrol agents. An active shooter with a rifle and tactical gear reportedly shot at border patrol agents who were arriving at this annex facility in Texas on Monday, injuring one of the cops that was there.

3:13See, these local police officers are there. The threats to border patrol and ICE are so sincere that local cops are being asked to help secure the perimeters of these places.

3:23Dan Bongino:So a local cop gets shot yesterday, according to the Department of Homeland Security, in multiple reports. Police and border agents shoot and kill the gunman at that McAllen, Texas, Border Patrol building. And authorities believe that the shooting was an intentional attack on border officials, according to Fox News. Now, at this point, we actually do know more information about this guy. Early reports indicated that we didn't know his identity. In fact, now we know that he is a resident of Michigan. His driver's license photo, let me show that to you here, his driver's license photo is now being published.

4:05Dan Bongino:We've got his Michigan driver's license. His name is Ryan Lewis Mosqueda. Here's his picture. McAllen believes he's believed to be 27 or 28 years old. He attacked the federal building with an assault rifle. Law enforcement on the scene finding all sorts of additional assault weapons and ammunition in the vehicle that Mosqueda drove to the scene. Spray-painted writing was also found on the side of the vehicle. but Rodriguez could not provide details of the lettering and said it is not known if it's connected to the attack. It turns out that the lettering, the spray painted wording on the side of the vehicle, we later found out, was connected to some sort of Call of Duty mission from a Call of Duty game from years ago, which had to do with causing mayhem in the United States.

4:59So that's what's happening here. And this guy travels all the way from Michigan, tries to open fire. They shot and they killed him. He was wearing a protective vest to try and stop, obviously,

5:10Dan Bongino:bullets from penetrating the armor. It didn't cover his head, though. They took a headshot and they took him out yesterday. The officials described this as neutralizing him, which is another way of saying killing the bad guy. And thankfully they did. But this is the latest lunatic who's dedicated himself to attacking border security and the guys who actually do the job of deporting the invaders from our country. Let me go back now just a couple more days in Texas. It was in Alvarado, Texas, at an ICE facility that we saw a very vicious attack. It was an ambush on an ICE officer, and 11 people have been charged in this attack.

5:50Dan Bongino:Take a look here. This is Fox 4 KDFW saying that Alvarado ice facility attack. 11 different people have been charged. It was an ambush. Apparently, what had happened was they stood outside the facility and they began launching fireworks. This is the evening of July 4th. And they did it as a way to draw the law enforcement guys out of the building. They just began launching these fireworks right near the entrance to the building, that Prairieland Detention Center. And they drew these guys out of the building wherein they opened fire. 11 people faced charges after a planned ambush on an ice facility in Alvarado, where a group intended to, quote, kill ice corrections officers, according to law enforcement.

6:30Dan Bongino:An Alvarado police officer, another one protecting these guys, was shot in the neck during the attack, but he is expected to survive. The coordinated attack happened around 10.30 in the evening, that's Independence Day, at that Prairieland Ice Detention Center, 25 miles south of Fort Worth. with law enforcement saying it was between 10 to 12 people who were in black military-style clothing. Guys, we have an armed insurrection going on in the country. 10 to 12 people in black military-style clothing begin shooting fireworks at the facility. One or two others broke off from the group and began to damage vehicles and spray graffiti.

7:09Dan Bongino:Officials saying that the graffiti said things like ice pig, traitor, and other types of profanity on the defaced vehicles. Officials believe the activity was meant to draw ICE detention officers right out of the building. And when they got out, two unarmed officers made their way to talk to the vandals. Another officer from the Alvarado Police Department also called in to investigate. When that officer responded, he was shot in the neck by a person from the woods. But the gunshots did not stop there. Things went haywire after that. Officials say another person across the street then shot 20 to 30 rounds at the unarmed ICE detention officers.

7:48Dan Bongino:A jammed AR-style rifle was found at the scene. The attackers fled. Then they were stopped by the local sheriff's office, and they found a couple of guns, a Kevlar vest. They took these guys into custody. They stopped another seven in the area, some of them wearing body armor, covered in mud, covered in mud, like they were making some sort of impromptu ghillie suit. They were covering themselves in mud so that they could conceal the fact that they were hiding. Is that what that is? Some of them were armed. According to court documents, the driver told the sheriff's deputy he met them online and took them from Dallas to the detention center to, quote, make some noise.

8:27Dan Bongino:They had body armor, flyers, spray paint, and a flag that said, resist fascism, fight oligarchy. Resist fascism, fight oligarchy. You know what this is? This is Antifa. This is Antifa. This is yet another terror attack in the United States of America by these left-wing Antifa lunatics. And this morning, we have mugshots. Ready? Take a look. fellas, let's pull the mugshots up. Andy Ngo shares these. These are the 10 alleged members of the North Texas Antifa terror cell accused of carrying out the fundamental, the attempted murder rather of federal officers at a shooting terrorist attack at that ICE facility last week.

9:19Dan Bongino:And now I want you to direct your attention. If you're watching the video version of the show, and first of all, this is as predictable as it can get. Look at all these guys. look at the bottom two, the bottom two on the left. Look at those two people. Both of those people, according to Andy Ngo, are men who are pretending to be women. That's right. We have another incident where it appears that so-called transgender people are responsible for a terror attack in the United States. On the far left on the bottom, You've got someone whose real name is Bradford Morris. He goes by Megan Morris, according to Andy Nose reporting on this.

10:04Additionally, the guy immediately to his right, the least convincing woman I've ever seen, his name is Cameron Arnold. He goes by Autumn Hill. Autumn Hill. So these are the guys who have all been arrested. Those are their mugshots.

10:22Dan Bongino:I like that they have the old school black and white striped prison outfits for them. And there they are, just a bunch of people who decided, you know what we should do? We should lead a terror attack on an ICE facility. And the Trantifa component, you're right about that, Anne-Marie. Anne-Marie in the chat saying Trantifa. Yeah, Trantifa does it again. Have you noticed, I mean, the levels at which so-called transgender people are committing attacks in the United States are way above the societal averages, the per capita average, how likely it is that the average person, a part of the general population is going to do a terror attack of this nature.

11:04No, it actually is very high. It turns out that there is some sort of relationship between mental

11:10Dan Bongino:illness and this very poor and destructive and violent and tragic decision-making, which brings me back to the core point about the president trying to prevent transgender people who say that they're born in the wrong body from being members of the united states military no we shouldn't arm the mentally ill and i love it's the left of all places that the lefties who are constantly say yes we should we should arm the mentally ill you know what's a fun idea we should give the mentally ill fully automatic weapons what do they say weapons of war we should arm them with weapons of what? You're the same party that says the general population can't have semi-automatic rifles, but the mentally ill can't have fully automatic weapons?

11:52Are you crazy? Yeah, you're crazy. You're crazy for that. And so these attacks continue. And at this point, for you and

12:02Dan Bongino:for me and for people like Tom Homan, they're as predictable as the sunrise. We knew this was going to happen. We knew when we had Champ on Tim Wall standing on a stage and saying that ICE agents of the Gestapo, when you see Hakeem Jeffries calling for ICE agents to be unmasked so that, you know what he wants, so that they can be harmed. When you hear Dan Goldman comparing ICE agents to Nazis, the inevitable outcome of all of this is that ICE agents are going to be hurt. Someone is going to be killed. And in fact, people have been killed. People have been killed. The fact that that guy who attacked the McAllen Border Patrol facility lies dead today with a bullet through his head.

12:44Dan Bongino:That only happens because of the outrageous behavior and incitement of the radical left here in the United States. It's not even a close call. Not even a close call. Let me give you some of this. Here's the Border Patrol chief, cut seven, condemning all of this Democrat rhetoric. Take a look. These agents are outstanding Americans. They're just trying to enforce the law, but all of the rhetoric and the false information that's being put out by the left, just increasing violence against our agents, and it's just unacceptable. So, Mike, what's the solution? How do we tone that down? And so we've got to get out in front of the narrative.

13:24We've got to continue coming on and speaking to you and making sure we're getting the truth out. We've got to continue our messaging, right? But then we've also got to hold those that are encouraging violence against law enforcement are inciting violence. We've got to hold them accountable and prosecute those individuals as well and know that it is not acceptable to incite violence against law enforcement officers. And we're going to have to prosecute. We're going to have to prosecute these people to the fullest extent of the law to let them know that this is not going to be tolerated. This is not going to be tolerated.

13:53We have to prosecute these people. These Democrats at the very top of the party who are only inciting this are absolute scumbags. You want to demonstrate some testicular fortitude, some intestinal fortitude? Come out, condemn this, and say this has no place in our country. You have to respect this system.

14:12Dan Bongino:You have to respect our republic. You have to respect the voters who elected the president of the United States right now to enforce the law. You have no other option. There's no other way to squirm out of this. If you have any intention of this country holding together, which apparently you don't, you come out and you say that. But instead, people like Hakeem Jeffries are weak. They're weak people who are beholden to the craziest elements of their party. And that's expressed this week in one of the craziest pieces of establishment journalism I've ever seen published. This comes to us from Axios today.

14:47Democrats told to, quote, get shot for the anti-Trump resistance. Democrats are being told to, quote, get shot by their own base. for the anti-Trump resistance.

15:00Dan Bongino:They say at town halls in their districts and in these one-on-one meetings with constituents and activists, Democrat members of Congress are now facing a growing thrum of demands to break the rules, fight dirty, and not be afraid to get hurt. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm telling you this is not going to end well. What I'm about to read you, this does not end well. This has the makings of civil war, actually. This is insurrection talk. this is a deeply violent impulse that they're indulging. And this is not mere political rhetoric. This is not like, oh, fight for your country or anything like that.

15:38Dan Bongino:Stand up for what you believe in. This is straight up guns need to start shooting in order for something to be achieved here. That's what the Democrats are claiming. One House Democrat, they talked to dozens for this. They say one House Democrat said the following, this idea that we're going to save every norm and that we're not going to play Republicans game, I don't think that's resonating with voters anymore. Another Democrat telling Axios that a sense of fear and despair and anger among voters puts us in a different position where we can't keep following norms of decorum. On and on they go.

16:13Our own base, this is what one House Democrat told Axios, some of our base have suggested what we really need to do is be willing to get shot when visiting ICE facilities or federal agencies. chat how do you get shot visiting an ice facility how does that happen how in the world would the sequence of events take place that you would be shot while visiting an ice facility the answer to that question is you have to threaten the life of someone else you have to do what these lunatics just did who assaulted an ice facility in texas this past week who assaulted a border patrol facility in Texas yesterday.

16:59Use a gun, get shot. That's exactly right, Skirt and Bear says. You are armed and you take the first shot, says Maple A. That's exactly right. The only way you get shot visiting these facilities is if you really threaten someone else's life in a way that requires you to be taken down by a gunfire. Let me put it differently. If you get to the point where you are shot, you had it coming. That's the answer to this. And so you have House Democrats saying that their own base, and they're saying it anonymously because they're scared of their base, are calling for them to, quote, get shot for Democrat

17:39Dan Bongino:party power. Our own base is telling us that what we're doing is not good enough, that there needs to be blood to grab the attention of the press and the public. This is a House lawmaker. It's a House Democrat saying this. A fourth house Democrat said that constituents have told them civility isn't working and to prepare for violence to fight to protect our democracy.

18:03This is civil war stuff that they're talking about.

18:07Dan Bongino:And it is not going to end well for these people. It is not. Don't screw up our country anymore. Don't resort to violence. It is not going to end well for you. Don't go down that road. And for the people who know better, the people atop the Democrat Party, now is your opportunity to stop this while you have the chance. Instead, you're inflaming it on a routine basis. And things have been very dark in this country. And we've had a lot of cause for optimism as we've been able to turn those things around. But there are desperate spasms going on on the left, which was right now in the political wilderness.

18:49Dan Bongino:and rather than appeal to the American voter to figure out a way to get back into a position of power, they're indulging their absolute worst emotionally incontinent impulses. And this thing can very much spiral very, very quickly. In fact, all of this came up yesterday. The connection between these attacks on ICE and the fact that the Democrat base is calling for violence, it all came up at the White House yesterday. I'm going to get to that in just a moment. Before we do, I want to thank our great sponsors who make all of this possible so we can talk about this. You know, you ever lay in bed with your mind racing at all?

19:26Dan Bongino:That endless to-do list, the early alarm, tomorrow's chaos. It can be hard to unwind. Believe me, I get it. But I have found something that is really helping me relax. 20:43You're right, one man's opinion. You're right about that. We'll get to jacked up at some point. Okay, so we've got these crazy people who are calling for violence. We've got crazy leaders, cowards, who won't stop this, who won't put it down, who won't say this is the wrong course. And it led to this moment yesterday.

21:03Dan Bongino:Our friend Mary Margaret Olehan over at The Daily Wire, a great reporter, she asked Caroline Leavitt at the White House press briefing about the convergence of all these events and what the White House makes of it. Take a look at it. Cut one. Here we go. Building off of the question earlier about the shooter in Texas who targeted ICE, Axios reported today, I believe, that Democrat lawmakers were saying their constituents are calling on them to be more violent when they go to ICE facilities, including, I believe, they want them to shed blood and that they said that Democrat lawmakers should be willing to get shot themselves.

21:33Can you respond to that? And do you have concerns that any of these lawmakers might act on the wishes of their constituents? It's hard to believe anyone with morals in this country or decency would say such a thing. Obviously, the White House condemns that rhetoric, and we condemn violence of any kind. This administration is simply trying to enforce our laws, and we must be a nation of law and order. You cannot simply waltz across our border and live here illegally and expect to stay. We are going to enforce our nation's laws, and the men and women who are doing that are doing so in a respectful way.

22:04They are doing so within the confines of the law, and they are just trying to do their jobs. And we condemn any violence or any calls for violence of any kind against any American.

22:14Dan Bongino:How easy is that? But you heard her say there that the predicate to being able to handle all of this responsibly are morals and decency. I hate to tell you, that's two things that people like Hakeem Jeffries lack. Dan Goldman doesn't have it. Eric Swalwell's too busy filming videos of himself over and over and over again, walking past congressional staffers and then pretending like, oh, I didn't see you there. Meanwhile, he's been calling for all sorts of awful things against against ICE agents and treating them like garbage. And treating them like garbage. In fact, here, look, cut five. I'll get to it now.

22:53Dan Bongino:Here's Eric Swalwell. This is what he's doing instead of condemning the violence on his own side. Hey, Congressman. What's going on? Hey, Congressman. What's up? Hey, Congressman. Hey, what's happening? You're everywhere, man. Hey, Congressman. What's going on? Hey, Congressman. Hey, what's happening? Hey, Congressman. What's going on? Hey, Congressman. Oh, my God. What's up, man? Train takes. Hey, Congressman. What's happening? Oh, no, no. Excuse me, Mr. Wallace. Oh, my. Oh, my God. Do you see how forced his look is? He's like, he's like walking by. He keeps walking by. He does this move. He's like.

23:32Hey, Congressman. Oh, hey there. Didn't see you there. Come on, you idiot.

23:37Dan Bongino:Like, the whole thing. How many takes do you think they have to do for each one of those for Eric Swalwell to get it right? No flatulence, you know, no stumbling over his words. That's the most natural he looked at any moment. It's crazy. But instead of condemning violence, he's just been rooting it on. All these guys have been inciting it. It's so crazy. And that's where we are now. Tom Holman, as you know, is the Border Patrol chief. He's the border. Sorry, he's the border czar, rather. And he was on Fox last night. He said, look, this is really straightforward. I told you this was going to happen.

24:09Dan Bongino:I'm right there with Tom Homan. I told you this was going to happen. There's going to be bloodshed. People are going to die. And here's the scary thing from Tom Homan, as he points out, as I'm pointing out today. This is only going to get worse. That's actually the direction we're headed right now. Take a look. Cut eight. Here's Tom Homan. I've been warning about this for two months. I think the last time I did your show, Laura, we talked about it. I also talked about it on the Hannity show that I've been around a long time. I said if the rhetoric didn't decrease significantly. it's going to end up with loss of life.

24:41It's going to end up with a use of force either against a protester turning criminal or against ICE or Border Patrol agent. Someone's going to be seriously, seriously injured if not killed. And, of course, the media attacked me. You know, fear of my home. You know, he's threatening someone's going to die. Look, I've been around a long time. You've got members of Congress, J.A.P.A.R.A.R.S. AOC says we're all there violating people's civil rights and constitutional rights. You got Jeffrey Zaldi running his mouth about the Gestapo. You know, and it just the ramped up rhetoric is going to cause a situation where someone lose their life.

25:17We saw that today. I was hoping I'd be wrong, but I wasn't. And I'll tell you something else. It's not the end. Unless we stop the hateful rhetoric against ICE and Border Patrol comparing them to Nazis, there's going to be more situations like that. Yeah, yeah.

25:33Dan Bongino:More situations like that. So that's so that's where things are headed. Now, here's the good news. If there's any good news in the midst of all of this, ICE remains undeterred. Our ICE agents, and we'll talk about this coming up with Jonathan Faye, the former acting ICE director, they remain completely undeterred in the face of all of this. because yesterday ICE agents went out into Los Angeles and they just went through a park. They raided a park yesterday in Los Angeles that is driving the left absolutely bonkers. Yesterday, Bill Malusian was, I think, maybe the first to share some of this news.

26:12Dan Bongino:He said breaking with hundreds of federal agents and military as a massive federal immigration enforcement operation is underway in the MacArthur Park area of the sanctuary city of Los Angeles. It's an area with heavy, heavy MS-13 influence. Mayor Karen Bass has demanded that the raids stop. But feds responded with one of the largest yet, including Border Patrol agents on horseback. And then, of course, protesters immediately began showing up. So that's really good news that these guys are saying, you know what, your threats of violence, your actual violence, it's not going to stop us. We're not going to be intimidated.

26:49Dan Bongino:We're going to keep doing our jobs. So God bless the men and women of law enforcement. We're still out there doing that. But it's it's still in the face of a lot of opposition. LA Mayor Karen Bass showed up yesterday amidst all of this, and she actually ditched, there was supposed to be an event, Breitbart had this great report, that the LA mayor ditched a Palisades fire anniversary event for this anti-ice protest. Let me put that differently. She treated fire victims like garbage in order to fan the flames of the invasion. That's what the mayor of Los Angeles did yesterday. She canceled an appearance at this event to mark the six month anniversary of the Palisades fire.

27:35Dan Bongino:And she instead went to try and stop an ICE raid, which I'm pretty sure used to be called obstruction of justice. Bass had been scheduled to appear with Governor Gavin Newsom, Greasy Gavin Newsom and Senator Alex Padilla and other officials to mark the anniversary of the Palisades and Eaton fires. But instead, she ran off to try and protest ICE yesterday. Now, while Karen Bass was doing that, she was saying the feds don't even have any right to enforce the law. Take a look. Cut to here's Karen Bass saying that she's more powerful than you and the federal government. Well, I call it a political stunt.

28:14If you wanna call it a dog and pony show, go right ahead. Same thing. With this going on for more than a month now, are you starting to feel like you're not even in control of the situation or is there a feeling of helplessness? No, I will never feel helpless and I don't think anybody here feels helpless. That's not in our DNA. Helpless? What's wrong with these people? Summer of resistance. How many nurses started the summer of resistance?

28:42I'm not going to get used to it. I'm not going to get used to it because last I checked, I was elected to be mayor of the city that did not include a federal takeover. So either you believe in democracy or you don't.

28:57Dan Bongino:You jackass. The mayor of the city. So you're tending to the needs of the city. How come all that you do is betray that city? All you're doing is betraying the people of Los Angeles. You're aiding and abetting an invasion of our country. You actually want to see to the needs of the city and force the law. Karen Bass. So there she is. And she says that this is about, oh, the federal government can't do this. Yes, we can. The federal government can save an American city. I'm sorry to tell you, Karen Bass. And one more thing on this before we get to our guest. She cut four here. Here she is screaming that law enforcement needed to leave and they just ignored her.

29:40Dan Bongino:Take a look. I am going to say, Mayor Bass, I need to get my phone. We're departing. OK, OK. Mayor Bass. Mayor Bass. Mayor Bass. Any comment, Mayor Bass? Thank you. Mayor Bass, any comment? Yes, my comment is they need to leave and they need to leave right now. They need to leave because this is unacceptable. Who did you speak with? Just wait and see. Mayor Bass. I won't believe I'm sorry. Who did you speak with on the phone just now? Who did you speak with on the phone?

30:10Dan Bongino:The person she spoke to was the Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino. Gregory Bovino, he was the Border Patrol Chief of the El Centro sector. And she, this is the message. Bill Malusian talked to the Border Patrol Chief, that guy. And he said, I don't work for Karen Bass. And my message to her was she better get used to us now because this is going to be normal very soon. We will go anywhere, anytime we want in Los Angeles. So good for him. Good for him for standing up for the rest of us. And good for him for standing up for the people of Los Angeles, including the people who, by the way, voted for Karen Bass to run the show in the first place.

30:56Dan Bongino:Even the people who made the wrong decision here are being protected. and rightfully so by the United States federal government, which is very good to see. All right, our guest, Jonathan Fahey, coming up in just a moment. You know, now that I've upgraded to a Helix mattress, I have been sleeping better than ever. I love our sleep sponsors. I am happy to say that we have joining us today, the former acting ICE director, Jonathan Fahey, in the House here on Vince. Jonathan Fahey, thank you very much for doing this. Appreciate it. Good to see you here, brother. Great to see you. Thank you. Okay. So ICE very much in the news because Immigration and Customs Enforcement has to do the job. They want to get to a place where they're deporting a minimum of 3 ,000 people a day. But man, the left is making it hard as hell.

33:43The left is making it hard as hell. How many times have you heard a government official now compare ICE agents to the Gestapo or say that they're Nazis or say that they're doing something sinful by keeping their faces covered. It's got to drive you crazy. It's amazing to me. And certain lines that people used to never cross, the Nazi line or anything else, is a standard Democrat talking point, if you really think about it. It seems to be an approved talking point. If you think of Governor Tim Walz, that was a commencement speech. So he clearly prepared remarks to call ICE agents the Gestapo. So it's like these are approved talking points.

34:19And the Democrats, you know, there's no I don't think anyone can. It's not even arguable at this point that the Democrats are not only for open borders, but for mass amnesty. There was some pretense during the last campaign that they were in favor of border security. But I think everything has been just sort of thrown out there, revealed as openly as possible. Now, They're against any border security and any deportation. Well, and not only are they against things, they are actively fomenting insurrection in the United States of America. I mean, like, I think we're at the point where we have to be really crystal clear about what this is.

34:55These are insurrectionists, because when you've got Democrat leaders whipping their own base into a frenzy, who, by the way, Axios reported this week are out for blood. They want Democrat members of Congress to prove their fealty to the party by getting shot. How do you get shot by law enforcement? You do something that threatens law enforcement. You threaten the peace in such a way that you risk bodily, immense bodily harm or death to someone else. It's insanity. And now we've got these massive cases of ICE attacks where you look at the attack on McAllen, Texas yesterday, where a gunman gets out and begins opening fire on a border patrol facility.

35:30or Alvarado, Texas, where they just arrested 11 people for an ambush outside of an ICE facility. Jonathan Fahey, this has reached a new level and there's already blood on the streets as a result of it. Yeah, it's really amazing. And it's certainly predictable that this is the way it was going because of the rhetoric of the Democrats. And like you're saying, they have to get more and more extreme. And it's funny when you look back at the last election, the two lessons that could been learned by the Democrats were one, become more moderate on certain issues, and particularly this issue, or go double down on this open borders agenda.

36:06And they chose the craziness. And I think it shows where their party is. This is not your mother and father's Democratic party. This is a hard left party. And anyone that's even remotely moderate is cast aside. And you saw with Gavin Newsom make that minimal pivot maybe a couple of months ago and came hard left again after he tested the waters on moderation. What do you think is animating that, though? I mean, it's a choice to decide, you know what? Violence is the only thing that we're going to do now. How did they get there? It is, I think it's a combination of, you know, Donald Trump drives them crazy.

36:42So you have the Donald Trump factor. And they really believe in this open borders in the sense that they believe it will help them politically. And every time Donald Trump is doing something successfully on the border, they believe that's hurting them politically, at least in the future and maybe even currently. And it is really funny because during the campaign, everyone said, every Democrat, we're for secure borders, all this nonsense. But the one thing I haven't heard a single thing, regardless of what you think about the deportations of internally, no Democrat has said, hey, at very least, Donald Trump has shut down the border and controlled things and they should be giving him credit for that.

37:18And if there was any honesty in their previous position, but we now know, and you and I knew it was all false to begin with, that they wanted to win the election and keep the border wide open and push for amnesty. So how do ICE officers handle all of this? So these guys are getting up every day. They're saying goodbye to their families. They're heading out the door, not sure what they're going to encounter when they go out there. These deportations can be very messy, physical, aggressive operations. And then you've got lefties, Antifa types, who are hunting them down now. additionally. What must that be like for the average ICE officer?

37:55Yeah, it's really horrible. I mean, one hand you hear from people within the administration and within ICE, morale is so much better because of how poorly they were treated last time. But it is really, it's so disgusting to think they're already putting the politics aside, putting their lives on the line every day, encountering criminals, encountering gang members to make all of us safer. And now you have these politicians that increase the danger to their lives and purely for political reasons. They were willing to put public safety, officer safety behind their political interests. So it's so disgusting that what you see going on.

38:31And the thing that's really bad about this, when you look at President Trump and ICE, they're not doing what he wanted to do politically. They're doing what he's required to do under the law. President Trump is required to enforce the law. It's not just like a political elective that he wants to do. he's supposed to do this. And the fact that Biden and Mayorkas were derelict in their duty doesn't mean he's supposed to then carry on their dereliction. And so everything about it's disgusting. But the good thing is morale is high within these agencies because they have a president and administration that has their back.

39:06And we remember, and I know we've talked about it on your radio show, but the prior administration was accusing their own agents, falsely accusing them of whipping migrants based on racial motivation. So the morale was so bad, and they were willing to put their own agents, meaning when they were in charge of them, in danger for their political motivation because they're looking for this next sort of incident. They want maybe a George Floyd moment or something like that so they could get either the public support or more the media support to turn on ice. From my perspective, it does renew my respect for the patriots who choose to serve in our country, to serve the public for real, and uphold the law.

39:44Because it strikes me that even knowing the threats that ICE agents face right now, a lot of these guys are like, that's fine. I know this is going to be tough work, but I'm going to go do it. Yeah, it's awesome when you see people that are willing to put their lives on the line, not just for themselves, but for all of us to make our lives safer. And, you know, I was a federal prosecutor for 17 years and we worked lots of ICE cases where they would be arresting gang members, other serious criminals, bringing them in. on either immigration charges and other things and deporting them so they have always been making our lives safer no one's even no one ever recognizes that or more broadly people don't recognize it and these are these are people with you know husbands wives with kids these are great people i work with them every day you know for essentially 20 years and to see them treated like that is just one of the more shameful disgusting things and when you can call somebody a nazi what you're really doing is saying somebody is so bad they're a Nazi, anything you do to them is fair game.

40:45And that's what's going on here. For sure. Speaking of talking about someone's humanity, the left, as you point out, often suggests that ICE is acting in inhumane ways, that these are heartless people doing these jobs. You are the ICE director for a time. Can you talk about what ICE's standards are for how you apprehend someone, the humanity with which you have to treat them, the detention standards that are involved. What goes into that? Yeah, all of this, they are at the highest level in terms of treating people they're arresting, where they're housed, and everything else. They were given, you know, all this talk about due process.

41:21When they're arresting criminals, they get their full due process on the criminal charges. When they're arresting them on administrative warrant or civil warrants, they're also treating them very well. And these are, again, people that are used to making, you know, criminal arrests. And the thing is, if they were doing these inhumane things, federal officers can be sued under Bivens actions, civil rights actions. So you would see lots of lawsuits being successful if they were actually doing these horrible things. And I think it's really telling when you look at what went on in Newark, went on with the Senator Padilla that we've now learned, the second senator from California.

41:55But it's funny he hasn't filed a lawsuit against him because he knows he would lose and everything would get revealed. I'm sorry. That video of him, I've been saying it over and over. They were very gentle. They were so kind to him. They practically swaddled him like a baby. They brought him into the hallway and they gently put him down. They put little handcuffs on him and he was detained for four seconds. And he turned it into that he was murdered in the middle of the hallway. Well, if you're crying about that incident, in all seriousness, you've had a great life. That's like one of the worst things that's ever happened to is when you barge into someplace and they ask you to leave.

42:31That's pretty normal anywhere. You do that to a store, you do it to a bar. If you went into a Senate office, and I don't encourage anyone doing it, walk into a barge into a Senate office and say, I'm a constituent, I want to ask some questions. They don't come out and just say, sure, what would you like to talk about? They would remove you, and they should. So you saw that video and you thought everybody handled their job exactly the way you were supposed to. Everyone handled it well. And their first priority isn't to say, is this a senator? And by the way, if you're a senator, you get to do whatever you want.

43:04Of course not. So their job is to keep the secretary safe and other people around them safe. And this idea that he, part of it is kind of pathetic that he's really upset about nobody knew who he was. I mean, the whole thing is like, I'm a senator for California and he's largely anonymous. We work in this town. No one knew him. That's right. I mean, I knew his name, but no one. The guy is never getting on the shows, anything else. He's like 99 or 100 out of all. Could you imagine being second fiddle to Adam Schiff? Yeah, it's so bad. I mean, in all honesty, though, before this, they wouldn't book him on the shows.

43:40He was he was at the bottom tier in even the Democrat shows. I mean, did you I never saw the guy. Yeah. And this is his moment. And it's just so funny how he's he's making the most of it. But back to the. Well, he couldn't do what you did, which is a gruesome experience that's useful to talk about in the course of a show. He had to perform a stunt. He had to rush the secretary of Homeland Security and see what would happen. Yeah, and it's like it's sort of the rite of passage in the Democratic Party now, right? You have to now get arrested or you're not loyal enough to the cause unless you've gotten arrested and played these little games.

44:15Or shot. Yes, exactly. The Axios report this week saying that the Democrat base thinks that you aren't a true Democrat leader unless you're willing to get shot protesting the Trump administration. That's crazy. It is so crazy. And I wish when you would see these other shows, the Democrat shows, I wish they would just ask these senators that still some of them still claim they're in favor of border security out of the people that are here who should be deported and what the criteria and then who. And does that mean the rest of the people all get to stay? And the answer is nobody should be deported other than somebody that commits front page news crime.

44:54Everyone else gets to stay. And that's sort of position. And I think there it's sort of sad because you think one move to increase your political power would be adjust your policies to what the people want. Yeah. But the other move is what they're doing is doubling down, thinking if we bring in so many people, these people, they will eventually vote for us at least 66, 70 percent of them. And it's just very sad that they don't, you know, you could easily just say, hey, we were a little crazy on immigration. We're going to come back to the middle because we care about the American citizens. We care about their jobs, their health care, their education, all their taxes.

45:33And they don't do that. If you really think about it, can you think of one time the Biden administration ever put the interests of American citizens ahead of illegal aliens? They have to talk in euphemisms to describe illegal aliens, non-citizens, undocumented, blah, blah, blah. But you can then go Nazi for federal law enforcement. That's fair game. But Joe Biden had to apologize after referring to Lincoln Riley's killer as an illegal immigrant, not even an illegal alien. Remember the next day, he's like, I'm in whatever things we're supposed to say. But it's okay to say we're strapping migrants and all these other nonsense.

46:11It's so crazy. You think the first thing would be stand for law enforcement, stand for the citizens. It just makes you think that if an entire political party is dedicated not to appealing to voters at all, they must think they don't need voters to be in power. You know what I mean? Exactly. Like, it's like it's like at that point, then why wouldn't people believe that they're rigging elections? Because they straight up do nothing to actually appeal to genuine American voters. Yeah, certainly on these issues and the old Democrat issues, which you have to respect the old school Democrats. They were for the workers.

46:41They were sort of sticking it. You know, we'll stick it to the man. We're fighting for wages. They abandoned that because they all this illegal immigration. What does that do? That depresses wages at the lower end big time. And it's like so they don't even care about the working class and the working class. Unfortunately, in this country, it took, I think, until the last election for them really to catch on. Like, wait, the Democrat Party doesn't care about us anymore. They've put us aside. They made the decision we are going identity politics over working class. Okay, so that brings us to a really good point, which is illegal aliens, an invasion of our country by foreign nationals who shouldn't be here, the people who are hurt the most by that are the working class of the United States because it's a labor competition in the end.

47:28And so on one hand, you have political goals who are opening our borders for their cruel intents. But at the same time, you also have a business community, the unscrupulous component of the business community, which is taking advantage of foreign labor illegally at wages that aren't even legal. And they're doing it at the expense also of American workers who therefore don't get those jobs. Can you talk about that? And also, like, you know, it does seem to me that workplace enforcement is one of the most important yet under talked about missions for ICE. Yeah, that's a really good point. And it's funny when you say the unscrupulous business owners, because it also forces out the scrupulous business owners that are abiding by the rules.

48:05So then they don't get to make it. So then all you have less or you have more of the unscrupulous business owners. But you're exactly right, because it's like when you bring in these people, they not only are depressing wages, but what you know, you look in Fairfax County, the schools where I live, there's more trailers on the school grounds in a typical trailer park because they're so overcrowded. overcrowded. So what does that do? That, one, decreases quality of education for people that are going to public schools and also increases expenses, tax dollars, and other things. You look at health care, you know, you go to a hospital, you're waiting in line, or you, you know, in spite of what the left says, no doctors are coming across the border.

48:44So you have, just in the last four years, 10 to 20 more million people fighting for the same health care resources. What does that mean? The poorer people are getting lower quality care and probably even at the higher ends are getting lower quality care because there are more people fighting for the same amount of resources or roughly the same amount of resources. So all of these things hurt the middle class, hurt the lower class. And you look at some of the, you know, I actually, I was in Martha's Vineyard last weekend and you would see all of these signs that are like, we support immigrants, all this stuff.

49:14And the one thing you didn't see were illegal immigrants. We have, They have so much support, yet they don't have them. It's a fun irony, but it's also they never have to, the elites in the Democratic Party never have to bear the cost of these horrible policies. The people in Martha's Vineyard, they're able to send their kids to a private school, all of these things. And good for them. I don't have no grudge against them, but take the sign out of your yard because there are people that have an overcrowded school, that their kids are having deprived opportunities. They don't get to see a doctor when they need to if their kid is sick.

49:48So these are things that are real-life things that affect Americans, and we should put Americans first, and that shouldn't even be controversial. I have a feeling that the only illegal aliens who are in Martha's Vineyard are the ones that they're exploiting to do housework. Yeah, exactly. That's about it. But then they deported everybody else. They only lasted, what did they last, like 12 hours on the island? Not to embarrass you because you're a former ICE director, but that was the most efficient deportation operation I've ever seen. No, I did write a Washington Times op-ed of remaining in Martha's Vineyard because that would change the entire, if ICE started putting people in Martha's Vineyard, the Democrats would change their tune.

50:25They have a big ICE facility, have alligator Alcatraz or shark Alcatraz up there. It would change the narrative. If we said you have to remain on the island, put an ankle bracelet, but you have free reign, I think that the tide would turn quite a bit. And they'd have different reasons for being opposing it, you know, climate change or something. I like it. Marth Katraz, we should do that. That's a good idea. Hey, so the president this week on this issue of foreign labor illegally being in the United States, he did say last week, Thursday, he said, look, there's a couple of people on the radical right.

50:56We're not going to be happy about this. I like them, but you know, they're in the radical. He said that we've got to protect hospitality workers and farm workers, he said, and that this is, we need to work towards that. And what he means by that pretty obviously is in those industries, in farming and in hospitality, there's a lot of illegal aliens. And yes, we're deporting people, but that could upset those industries a little too much. Now, I don't like this because I think that the president should stick with the original plan, which is basically like, hey, if you break the law, you should be held accountable.

51:26And that if you want to be here as a guest worker, an agricultural guest worker, we have a legal program for that. We shouldn't have to create any sort of amnesty or carve out in order to accommodate that. How do you feel about that? Yeah, I think we should find a way if it's legitimate to do it legally. But one thing that concerns me about the guest worker program or any of these programs, we have this thing which President Trump has fought hard for, this birthright citizenship. So this idea of we're going to have guest workers that if they get here and they have a kid, all of a sudden their kid becomes a citizen.

51:55But the Democrats' position is the parent is, in effect, a citizen. Because when we have these situations where the parent is being deported when they have an illegal or when they have a citizen child, the Democrats act like the parent should get to say. So in effect, birthright citizenship as practice is really birthright citizenship for parents as well. So anything you do, that has to be dealt with because you really can have an effective guest worker program. But if it leads to citizenship, leads to other things, leads to people being able to stay, it will get gamed and the American people will be worse off because of it.

52:31So we need to do something like that. But I think what the administration is really doing is when you hear the messaging is they're focusing on the criminals, but they have to at least say everyone's on the table because we can't have this de facto amnesty world, which we had under the Biden NSA is even more than de facto. But it was like the Biden administration policy, as best as I understand it, was the second you step foot on American soil, you are a citizen. And unless you become the Charles Manson, you're staying. Right. Also, once you start creating these these exceptions, no matter how narrow they are, they do.

53:07Let's be honest. They become magnets for more illegal immigration. So if you just have any program that you're like, hey, look, if you work in the hospitality industry, we'll go easier on you. Well, then what do you think your odds are if you show up and you start working at a hotel? You think it's very high that you're going to stay and reasonably so, because the president of the United States or leadership is suggesting that's my only point is that, Like what we should be doing is cutting off all of the magnets for the invasion. That includes workplace enforcement. And that includes making sure people know that the only way you get in here to this country is legally.

53:38You have to do it the right way. Legally. And if you come in illegally, it's going to be painful for you. Not physically painful, but it's you're going to spend a lot of money to get here and you're going to turn right around. So it's not going to it's not going to benefit you. And that's probably one of the best things I think the Trump administration has done. The messaging has been great on this. And we don't have anyone, I mean, not literally, but it's almost nobody is coming across the border. I haven't heard a single thing about caravans coming through Mexico or through Central America because they know, one, these people are paying$7 ,000 to$9 ,000 a pop to get smuggled in here.

54:11So that's a really bad investment if you're getting turned around. Back in the Biden days, it was a phenomenal investment. You get$79 ,000 in benefits probably the day you step foot on this. You know, you're staying in five-star hotel or formerly five-star hotels, getting phones, getting all these other things. So it was a very wise move to come here illegally under Biden. And now people realize it's a crazy proposition financially to try to get here. And a few people are going to sneak through, and that's life, but it's just not going to be worth it for them even when they get here. All right, finally, let's talk about self-deportation.

54:48and the chances of that increasing. So my sense is that the more the government actively deports people, goes into workplaces, goes into jails to pick up people who've been arrested, whatever, communities, parks, and starts deporting people, that enough people will say, you know what, I can see where this is going. There's a lot of heat coming. I'd rather take the easy way and self-deport. The administration, and I think there's some estimates that right now, so far, about a million people have done this. About a million people have left the country. the short time that President Trump's been in office.

55:20Do you anticipate those numbers going up meaningfully and what is it going to take to get there? Yes, I think the self-deportation are going to go up enormously. One, because people really haven't been aware of the option of you get a thousand dollars and a free deportation. So I think those numbers are going to go up because if people, one, think they're going to get arrested and removed, that's again a difficult experience. it's one, you may have some affairs you want to deal with and other things like that. But two, if there's, like you said, if there's no opportunities to earn wages legally and it's harder to earn them illegally, it's not that great to be here.

55:59So I think they're going to go up tremendously. And I think that's a very good idea, what,$1 ,000 and a free ticket. And think of how much, I mean, they were giving people gift cards coming over under the Biden administration, and free phones, which are, as we know, expensive, and hotel rooms. So it's kind of... It also costs a lot to deport someone, doesn't it? If they're not doing it willingly under this circumstance, the resources that ICE has to exert are immense, aren't they? Yeah. If you have to go out, arrest somebody, get them through the immigration court system, get them ordered or deported, and previously people would be ordered or deported and then told to self-deport and that never worked or not.

56:40Literally never. But but yeah, so if you have to actually physically deport them, you're looking at thousands of dollars, probably ten thousand dollars or so. So you save money. It's easier. Yes. It's better for them. So everyone wins other than I would say the Democratic Party. And, you know, the previous administration, you know, everything was to benefit the Democratic Party. But it does seem like win, win, win if we go that way. And the more of this administration and now with the money coming in, I think people are going to really see the writing on the wall with this new bill that, that, Hey, self deportation with a possible option, which I think they've left open to possibly come here legally.

57:19Maybe let's try that path. And I think people that are deported, I say unwillingly, they're not going to have that option. So, and there's enough people that want to come here legally that those people that were here illegally, we're not missing out as a country from them never getting to come back. We're benefiting immensely. So I think it's going to work. And all of these things really together with the messaging, it's going to be, when we look at this, you know, I would predict at the end of this year, look at fentanyl deaths, look at wages, look at crime. And those will be very good measures within a year that I think all of those will all change in a good way and look at them in four years.

57:56And that's politics, right? If he's successful, if we're poorer, we're safer, hey, that's a successful, I mean, if we're richer and safer, that's a successful administration and that deserves being reelected. So let's see how they work, but I predict it will all work very well. Love it. All right. Jonathan Fahey, former acting ICE director. Sir, good to see you today. Thank you for coming in. Thanks. All right.

58:20And the good news for tomorrow is that we've got Russ Vogt coming in. That's right. Recissions. You want to cut some spending here in the United States of America? I definitely do. the head of the Office of Management and Budget is joining us live right here on Vince tomorrow. Don't miss it. Before we go today, I want to make fun of how ridiculous Hakeem Jeffries is. Have you seen his latest Instagram post? Check this out. I know you're probably not on Hakeem Jeffries' Instagram that often. Fellas, can you put this on screen for me? Look at the park bench that he's leaning against and the distortions on this graphic.

58:59Do you see that each of the planks of the park bench are bending. The reason for that is not Hakeem Jeffries' immense superhero strength. That's Photoshop. Hakeem Jeffries has very feminine hips, and his staff apparently tried to Photoshop his hips out of the photo. They wanted to tighten him up a bit, and in the process of Photoshopping, they didn't realize that all of the straight lines behind him were distorted. Who thought this was a good look? Who thought, oh, yeah, that's perfect. Let's put that out. There's Hakeem Jeffries and his deeply feminine hips. I pulled up this photo. Here he is.

59:38This is a New York Times photo. They clipped him out. You can see there's a lot more width to his hips,

59:43Dan Bongino:and I guess he's embarrassed by his feminine posture. Well, sorry, Hakeem. We caught you, and it wasn't that difficult. It was a very easy thing to solve. Hey, thanks for being with us today. As always, you can join us live, rumble.com. Listen to the podcast. Please subscribe wherever you find us. I appreciate you, the best damn audience in media.
