Ep.104 How to Feel Joy on Command

0:05David Ghiyam:Welcome everyone to the David Ghiyam podcast. This is episode 104. Before we begin, I have just opened what is perhaps the most important, biggest journey that we'll go through in the year. So right now, depending on when you're hearing this, we are in the period of time that the sages call the Bain Hamitsarim, which literally translates to between the narrowness, the narrow constricted. If you think of narrow, what part of the body is narrow? It's the neck. What does the neck do? The sages actually say that the head represents what's called the Gimil Rishanot, the upper three dimensions, which is connected to the light of the creator, draws down energy, and the body actually represents the vessel.

1:45David Ghiyam:So if we look at a human being is a totality of a vessel. It is the light portion of it, which is the head, and the body, which is the vessel. So it's light and vessel coming together as one. The neck becomes the bridge between the two. And interesting fact, one of the reasons why the sages would grow a beard, we see a bearded man, we think this is a holy man or a righteous man well the beard actually has a spiritual significance it doesn't have to be the long long beard but even just a little bit the sages say that a person can feel or hold on to with their hands the beard is actually comprised of 13 points of energy on the face where because the light that emanates from the consciousness from the mind is so expensive so great and the body cannot hold it, it pours through the beard, 13 points of the beard, and goes down to the vessel.

2:48David Ghiyam:So imagine the beard is the portal or channel for the excess light that cannot go through the constricted neck. Because otherwise, why wouldn't our neck be just the same size of our head and our body? So we would just be a straight funnel down. It's interesting that we have a head that is slightly larger than our neck. The neck is smaller, then the body gets bigger again. These are all secrets of how energy flows. But that is interesting fact, why the sages for thousands of years spiritually grew a beard. It goes even deeper. In the Bible, it's written, for example, a person shouldn't take a blade to shave their beard because the blade represents judgment and this overflow of energy that comes from the beard represents mercy.

3:31David Ghiyam:And so we don't want to bring judgment to mercy and a lot of different secrets. And I share that because it's very interesting. Now, a lot of people follow religious laws and follow things that the Bible will say, different religious texts will say, but it's important to know there's always a spiritual meaning behind them originally. Now, if a person grows a beard, does that mean that is encompassing their spiritual work? No, these are tools of energy. Ultimately, everything that we are learning, everything that I'm teaching on my platform, everything that I'm trying to share from the sages is about the transformation of each one of us, transformation of who we are, our souls, to become like the light of the creator so that we can have miracles in our life.

4:13David Ghiyam:That is the ultimate, ultimate goal. There are tools that I don't speak too much about, but I'd like to explain once in a while. If you learn more about them, they help you with your consciousness. And so that is one of the secrets of the beard. But actually it goes even deeper. I talked about the 13 points on the beard. They relate to a secret called the 13 attributes of the light of the creator. Zohar talks about it. It's called the Dikna of Arichampin. It's a code for 13 lights that emanate into our world and actually come into our world in the month of Virgo. And what they do is they highlight perfection.

4:55David Ghiyam:So why Virgos are perfectionists, They are connected to these 13 lights of the Dikna, which the sages share. What does that mean for each one of us? And why is it that I do the biggest journey of the year in the month of Urgo? Because on the first and second day of Libra begins the judgment of the soul. It means that every soul in this world gets judged for the past 365 days. And I will talk about this in future podcasts as we get closer. If our soul is getting judged for the past 365 days, based on what you have worked on or haven't worked on, so let's say, for example, you have anger issues, you have control issues, and relationships came into your life and you still were very controlling, still very angry, very needy.

5:42David Ghiyam:You still acted from a place of fear and lack. These were all tests that the universe sent us to grow our soul. We didn't pass those tests. So the destiny for the coming year, the movie that will be written for you, will have to repeat a lot of these tests. And these are all tests to help you grow, to help expand your vessel. The judgment, the accounting of everything that happens throughout the year is happening on the first and second day of Libra. The month of Virgo was given to us right before to shine those 13 lights, those 13 attributes of the creator, to help each one of us see where we are not perfect, to see the details of our spiritual work.

6:26David Ghiyam:That's why the main tikkun, the spiritual correction of a Virgo, is to transform judgment to mercy. They judge themselves and they judge other people. They're hard on themselves and they're hard on other people. If a Virgo knows how to transform that judgment to mercy, there's great miracles in their lives, meaning they see the good in themselves and see the good in other people. They see themselves as whole and not half. But each one of us must know that in Virgo, the tests come back. The tests come back. The areas in our life where we are not whole come back in some way. And our job is to work through them and not react to them, to feel the pain as opposed to avoiding the pain.

7:04David Ghiyam:And then you expand your vessel and you receive light and you see miracles in your life. So the time that we're in now is called the Bain of Mitzurim. It's actually a three-week period, which starts on the 17th of Cancer and ends on the 9th of Leo. where a lot of light flows into our world. Those who have built a vessel for it will see miracles, and those who have not built the proper vessel often feel stress during this time, anxiety, a lot of pressure. I made a post about this actually on Instagram. Somebody asked me in my Q &A section about sexual energy during this time, and says that there is a spirit called Ruach Znut, which means the spirit of impurity or spirit of sexual impurity that is more present during this time.

7:52David Ghiyam:So a person feels also more reactive in that area because there are two areas where the negative side receives the most energy from us. So if you can control these two areas, you will have abundance. It says you will have abundance. You will have protection for your children and it's the way to either find your soulmate or awaken love in the relationship you have and that is to be able to control the sexual desire the sexual organ because it is the area that creates life and then the mouth because it is the area that sustains life through eating so if a person is able to control their sexual energy their mouth the words they speak and also the food that they eat those are the three hardest things if you really think about it the three hardest things for everyone in this world to control is their speech, their diet, and their sexual energy.

8:43David Ghiyam:For some people, one more than the other. But if you're able to control all three, then the gates will open for you where you will have protection for your children, soulmate love, either it will increase in the relationship you have or you'll find your soulmate, and abundance. All that same channel is affecting those three things. And so during these three weeks, actually, there's a tremendous amount of energy coming through which will tempt you in these three areas but especially the sexual area now the concept i wanted to talk about that i feel will be helpful for all of us is always remembering what is important and not falling into the illusion would you rather be right would you rather have your opinions be heard many times we're out there fighting for something fighting for a belief fighting for a cause fighting for an opinion how many times have you been at a dinner table politics comes up or religion comes up or concept comes up and everyone's fighting or arguing about a point there's nothing wrong with disagreeing there's nothing wrong with having conversation and arguing points which by the way I would do myself many times.

9:59But there are times where we are, our goal is just to be right.

10:08David Ghiyam:Our goal is just to convince other people. Our goal is to protect our ego. And when that is your goal, your soul cannot be connected to the light of the creator. Many times I have learned that all I want to do is increase my bank account of light. How many light points can I get today? It's like a game. If I go and speak to this person or if I go have lunch with this person, I have a feeling that we are just going to talk about things that are negative. Maybe they're going to tell me evil speech about somebody else. And so I know that after this one hour lunch, my light points will go down. What else can I do in that hour to increase my light points?

10:53David Ghiyam:It's really all it's about. when your goal is to increase your light points, and I'll explain practically what that means, you'll have a great life. You'll be bound to the light of the creator and you'll have miracles and protection everywhere you go. The more light you have, the less darkness you have in your life. How do you increase your light points? Well, we talk about this in all the teachings of Kabbalah. If you haven't taken my masterclass, Your Infinite Soul, please do so. 11:29David Ghiyam:And we learn in your infinite soul that everything that we do to become like the creator brings us miracles. We always talk about certainty, to have certainty. Certainty beyond logic, that everything that is going on right now in your life is okay, it is good. It is exactly as it should be. Something is not going your way. Someone is doing something that you don't like. You're going through a legal challenge right now. You're going through a bankruptcy. You're going through a health challenge. You're having pain in some part of your body. The pain is always there. You got a bad diagnosis from a doctor.

12:08David Ghiyam:Speaking to someone recently who was battling cancer. Very difficult. She has a very good attitude. Probably a better attitude than most people I know who are healthy. you're going through a bad bout of bad dates. It's very hard for you to be in a relationship. Maybe you just got out of one. Do you believe that everything you are going through is from the creator and therefore good? We must experience our pain, our darkness, our void, our lack of clarity. We must experience it. We must feel it. and then we must feel it as good beyond our logical mind to the extent that we do that over and over again we increase our vibration and frequency to become like the creator and as a result the problems go away that is the paradox you're going through a typical situation you don't know how to solve it you don't know where this relationship will come from the city you live in, it's all the same type of men, same type of women.

13:22David Ghiyam:It's empty to you. Everyone's wasting your time. You feel that life is going by. Maybe you're worried about one of your children, when your children are going through a very difficult time, and so you worry about them, and you can only be as happy as they are. Even now, just take a moment and say, the fact that my child is not well, this is also good. The fact that I am single, This is also good. The fact that I am in a marriage that doesn't have passion. He or she is not connected to me. I don't even know if I'm with my soulmate. You might have these thoughts. You must know that even this is good.

14:02David Ghiyam:The creator has put you in a situation where you're missing something. And the first test is to know that it is good. Why is it good? Because there are no mistakes. just because you cannot see the whole picture doesn't mean that your situation is bad. You picked the fruit before it's ripe, so it tastes bitter to you. But does that mean that the fruit you picked, the apple you picked is bad intrinsically? No, it's in the middle of its process. When does the process end, you say? When can I enjoy the fruit? The moment you believe that the fruit is good the way it is, then the fruit becomes ripe.

14:40David Ghiyam:That's the interesting thing about creation. Each soul was given the free will to decide when the fruit becomes ripe. We think we have to wait for something to come to us. I can tell you, the most powerful people I know, both spiritually and physically, they're never waiting, they are creating. They are creating all the time. Thinking of one individual. I don't know him too well, but I know we've had a few interactions. He built a company. He's built several companies. He's a young person. Every time he built something, very quickly, it scales to hundreds of millions of dollars within the first year.

15:27David Ghiyam:And each time he goes into a different type of business and still scales it to hundreds of millions of dollars. Is he smarter than everyone? Does he have more resources than everyone? No, he came from nothing. what is it? He creates. He doesn't wait. He believes in himself. He believes in his intuition. He believes in a higher power. He believes that every setback is good. He doesn't care if it was COVID or not COVID. He doesn't care if the economy is down or up. He doesn't care if AI is there, AI is not there. See, we all hang our hat on something external as to, well, why it cannot be. no he doesn't care every day he believes that he creates he creates whatever he wants and he might fail 99 of the time but the one percent of the time he succeeds he makes hundreds of millions of dollars and if he does that once a year well isn't that success at least in the financial world but you see the greatest success is your consciousness is to get your consciousness to the place of highest certainty that everything is good.

16:36David Ghiyam:Now there's a part of you that believes, well, if I think everything is good, then I won't do anything. I'll be lazy. I won't have that fire. I won't have that passion. Well, now you're just talking yourself out of pursuing certainty. Because I can tell you, we all are trying to be too cute with spirituality. We're like, okay, well, what happens after I have certainty? Well, what happens after that? We can't ask these questions. We must just become like the light and the light will show you what happens next. Once you have certainty, the creator will give you new desires, new thoughts, new pathways, new relationships.

17:05David Ghiyam:Don't you want to see what's waiting for you? Or do you want to sit there and just say, well, I'm smart enough to be able to predict 19 different things that will happen after I do the spiritual work. Don't do that. Be present. Just be the light. Just be the light right now. Having certainty is one way to be like the light. Another way of being like the light is be kind. Don't be mean. Don't be mean to people. Say hello to people. Smile to people. Care about people. Open your heart to people. When you go to a restaurant, ask the waiter or waitress, what is your name? Look them in the eyes. Be present with people.

17:41David Ghiyam:Be present with your children. Be present with your partner. Be present during intimacy. Be present with yourself. Be present when you're at the gym. Stop having thoughts about the future and the past. all the time thoughts thoughts thoughts thoughts thoughts come from the negative side thoughts come from the negative side thoughts all they do is drain you think about it i just told you to think about it as a as a figure of speech though not don't actually think about it the sages say you must replace thoughts with feelings you feel you either feel good or you feel bad so if i'm driving and it happened to me this morning i was driving my kids to school And then I started having thoughts.

18:24David Ghiyam:I have this thing I need to do, this other thing I'm still waiting on. Oh, this thing came back with not good results. What am I going to do? All these thoughts. One second here. How are all these thoughts creating miracles? They are not. All they do is create stress, anxiety, doubts, fears, and you disconnect your vibration from the light of the creator. So I told myself as I'm driving, I'm going to replace my thoughts with a feeling. I feel good. that's it because what does it i feel good mean it means you have certainty because when do you have certainty when you feel good when you feel good when you have certainty so then i just chose to feel good well how can you feel good you got all these other things to think about the truth is whoever asks this question already knows the answer to this question there's many ways that you at this moment can feel good because the moment you become present and just feel the energy of the moment you start to feel good The only reason we ever feel pain is because we think about the future.

19:23We think of something outside of this moment.

19:26David Ghiyam:But I promise you, if you connect and feel this moment, you're going to feel good. I talk about, you know, I don't watch much television at all. I probably have watched four hours of television in the last four years. But the last few nights, actually, I've had some more time to myself. and I watch this show. Many of you might know what it is. I talk about it all the time. It might make you laugh. It's called Locked Up Abroad. It's about people who go to jail in foreign countries. I love this show. But I'll tell you why I love this show. Yesterday, I watched an episode. This person was, I think he was smuggling, he needed some money, so he smuggled some marijuana or cannabis into like Thailand or something like that.

20:16David Ghiyam:country where that kind of stuff is punishable, you know, in a big way. And the show always kind of goes in the same way. They're smuggling something. They do something illegal in a foreign country. It's usually an American or this time it was somebody from the UK. They go to a foreign prison. And in that prison, they freak out for the first few months and then they accept their fate. And then they become very spiritual. They become very present. And even though the prison is horrible, horrible conditions, like living hell, they find a way to have peace within that hell. They realize that as long as they fully accept their situation and go deep within themselves, they experience some kind of energy, kind of joy.

21:03David Ghiyam:And then they realize it is the light of the creator. And then they transform, things happen, miracles happen. Obviously, they get out of the prison at some point to tell their story. Each one of us, we're experiencing this prison every day in some way. You're feeling feelings you do not like. You're having thoughts that are pulling you in every direction. I'm telling you right now, none of that matters. All the thoughts you're having to try to solve your problem don't actually solve any problems. Only the creator solves problems. Your job is to be present and to feel good. Well, how do I feel good?

21:36David Ghiyam:You know how to feel good. You don't need something on the outside to feel good. you know you have to train yourself to have certainty and be present in this moment and to feel those feelings to feel those great feelings this is true unconditional love with the light of the creator because once you have unconditional love with the creator meaning regardless of what's coming in or out of your life you're saying i love the creator i justify everything the creator does that is good watch the things that come to you it's unbelievable the things that come to you. Unbelievable. I once had this student in New York come to one of my classes and he was blind in both eyes and he did not have legs.

22:21David Ghiyam:So he was missing both his legs and he was blind in both eyes. I think he was about 40 years old. And if I'm remembering correctly, I think by the age of 35, he had a condition. i'm trying to think of what it was i think it was something i think it was just diabetes it's diabetes he didn't take care of it and he said one day he woke up blind and then he lost his legs as well this guy always had a smile on his face he's always smiling like his resting face was smiling and he was listening to the class he couldn't see me but he was listening and he was always smiling like he was happy joy emanated from him and it was the second session of level one where i talk about the pause something doesn't go your way fear anxiety or someone gets upset you get upset with someone you need to pause and let the light in just pause don't be reactive i gave this lesson so he raised his hand and said you know i want to share with you i applied this lesson this week.

23:30David Ghiyam:And I said, what happened? He said, well, three times a week I have dialysis. I have a car that takes me there and picks me up. When my dialysis session was done, I went outside. Car never showed up. I was waiting outside for three hours. He said, three hours. After dialysis, you're very tired. He said, you just want to go home. It was cold outside. He waited three hours. He said, he just kept saying, pause. What a gift. Amazing gift this is. And he said that he got so happy just from saying pause what a gift while he was waiting after his dialysis mind you he's blind he cannot walk he does not have legs he's in his wheelchair waiting for his driver who's not coming waiting for three hours and in the cold and he's saying pause what a gift this is what a gift this is and i said what happened after that he said three hours later the driver came he's like but the point was i enjoyed every moment of those three hours and the whole class is looking at him comparing their problems, their lives to his.

24:31David Ghiyam:And there's a sense of almost they're jealous of his joy. That's a powerful thing. Who is the most powerful person in this world? It's the person who can have a joy on command. Person who does not need anything from the outside world to determine his worth, his certainty, certainly his joy. In a period where the darkness is greatest, in the period where the opportunity for light is the greatest, in a period of time that you might feel the most disconnected from yourself, from the creator. In fact, those are the greatest periods. If you feel disconnected, if you feel out of sorts, if you feel a looming anxiety or impending doom, know at this moment that this is good.

25:24Feel how good it is. you are now the master of this world. The creator, and what's important is

25:32David Ghiyam:you must do this knowing that you're doing it to serve the light of the creator, that you're doing it to become one with the creator. The knowing that you're becoming one with the creator then is what binds you. You now have affinity of form and you know that it is for the creator, with the creator. The creator will show you miracles. I'm so excited for all of you to try this this week. try it right now just tell yourself mantra over and over again I have joy in this moment I am present in this moment I know with certainty the creator is taking care of me in this moment everything that I have or I don't have it's not of my concern of course the creator wants to give me everything and the way i can allow the creator to give me everything is to be present so that i can receive it

26:40i'm tired of slandering the universe i'm tired of trying to fight with people fight with destiny, fight with the world. I'm tired of questioning the world. I just want to be at peace with myself. I feel joy. All these thoughts that come, I will allow them to come and I will allow them to go. And I choose joy. I choose certainty. I choose to feel. I feel the pleasure that exists all around me. I choose to be the master of my own consciousness. The greatest asset is my consciousness. The greatest vessel is my consciousness. Cares about everything else. Whether you have everything or you have nothing, the work is the same.

27:37And don't worry. You are meant to receive and you will receive. But receive, do not take. be ready because when you have joy when you have peace in your heart when you no longer think about the future the gates open and you'll be guided in big ways big big ways you'll be shown what to do you'll show what work to do you'll show not you'll be shown what business to go into you're sure you'll be shown what to say in these businesses you'll be shown everything and yes you will have to work hard you might have to put in a lot of hours sure but you'll be doing it not from your logical mind the creator will guide you and show you what to do most successful people don't use logic do they they have vision where do they get this vision from creator is guiding them don't you want to receive that vision this is a beautiful time that we're living in the one who has more light points wins so take this week be present feel the feeling of joy don't pay attention to your thoughts every time negative thoughts come shift it to joy reduce your negative speech spend more time with people who elevate your consciousness.

29:15Do whatever it takes to spend time with them.

29:20If it doesn't feel right, don't do it. Wear the clothes that make you feel good. It's okay to say no to people. It's okay to set boundaries with people who are taking your time and your energy. You don't have to say yes to everyone. You don't have to please everyone. People want light. They don't want you to say yes. They want light. If saying no increases your light, everybody benefits from that. Stop worrying about your children. Just bless them. Let them go through their own process. Just draining your light and draining their light. It's an incredible time. So much opportunity for all of us.
