In short

The episode argues that spiritual “tests” only appear when you’re ready and willing to release toxic, fearful patterns; otherwise you may avoid challenges but remain limited. The core practice is asking one question before acting: “Am I doing this from fear/lack/pain, or from wholeness?”

Key claims

no coercion in spirituality; pause for one second when urges arise to prevent reactive chaos; intention transforms the same action into “miracles” (e.g., eating with “revealing energy” rather than need); energy transfer matters more than words—people respond to the speaker’s soul/beliefs.

Notable examples

texting after feeling hurt; relationship “needy” texting; pausing before eating when hungry; Moses fasting as “eating light.”

0:05David Ghiyam:Welcome, everyone, to David Ghiyam Podcast. We are entering now two of the most monumental weeks of the year. As each of our tests start to accelerate, based on our desires, which I'm going to talk more about right now, to help clean out whatever remaining blockages and fears we are ready to overcome and let go of. And that's the key point here. If the universe deems that you are not ready or you do not desire to let go of something toxic, something fearful, something that's limiting you, you simply won't be tested in that area. So often when you see people who don't go through many tests, don't go through many challenges.

0:49It is not because their soul has already been perfected,

0:53David Ghiyam:but rather they may not even have a desire to let it go. And so the universe bypasses them. The negative result of that is that their soul, their vessel always stays limited. And so that limitation can't exist forever. So eventually the soul begs for pain and suffering to come or even death to move this person out of the quote-unquote comfortable situation that they put themselves in. But that is a little bit about the summary of the energy of the next two weeks and what we can do to maximize our position to see miracles. I also want to read from some of the ancient texts, which I always study from before I speak to you, but I want to read directly from the text itself because I believe it's powerful and the original words of the sages contain a lot of energy.

1:42David Ghiyam:Also, I do want to take a moment to talk about what has been an incredibly profound tool that millions of people around the world have been using, and that is David AI. For those of you who have heard about it but don't know what it is, it is my digital twin, which has been trained on thousands of hours of my content and coaching, as well as many, many, many, many books and texts of the sages and has been trained in such a way to help you get to the spiritual bottom line of why you are going through what you're going through and to give you practical tools to overcome it. People often have told me within five or 10 minutes of talking with David AI or even texting, they are learning more about themselves, their lives, their relationships, their marriage, their children than they ever did in any other kind of coaching.

2:32David Ghiyam:It has been designed for that. People usually have a full complete coaching session within 10 minutes of talking to David AI. So you can head on to my website, which will be links below if you want to try it. I've made it incredibly affordable so that anyone with any kind of financial situation can benefit from it. So let's start by reading from the original text, and then I'm going to explain what it means practically in our lives. So Rav Ashlag was a great Kabbalist, lived about a hundred years ago. He said, he wrote this approximately 80 years ago. He said, we must know there is a rule in this universe that there is no coercion in spirituality, which means in any part of life, but especially when it comes to the spiritual work, we cannot force anyone to do anything, become anything, change anything.

3:30David Ghiyam:And in the same way, the creator cannot force you to change. So if the creator wants to give you a blessing, wants to give you love, wants to give you healing, wants to give you some kind of clarity, wants to give it to you, has made it available to you, but we have chosen not to receive it. We are blocking ourselves. We are holding on to the old us, the limited us. we are choosing to stay mediocre for whatever reason, right? We all have our reasons why we choose instant gratification over long-term fulfillment. The creator cannot force the miracle into your life. And that is why time has been created.

4:16David Ghiyam:Time, which even science says is illusionary, time doesn't really exist. And from the point of view of the creator, there is no time. time is collapsed the future and the and the past exists in one moment for the creator and we are trying to achieve this reality as well but we live in the reality of time but so why does time exist for us time exists for us to have the free will to make a choice to be with the light or not to be with the creator or not. And what we've learned from our introductory courses, specifically Your Infinite Soul, we've learned the way you become like the creator is to, I'm sorry, the way you connect with the creator is to become like the creator.

5:05David Ghiyam:Even more practically, every time you overcome a fear, every time you feel lack or pain and you do not react to it, you do not try to run away from it, you do not try to fill it up at that second at that moment you access the light of god and the light of miracles i remember this week uh somebody i i saw something or something happened that initially made me very reactive i actually at that moment felt a variety of emotions whether it was hurt or disappointment and immediately I went to grab my phone and I started texting the person who had done whatever they did to make that caused me to feel that way without even them knowing that they did that as I was typing I realized it doesn't even matter what I'm typing.

6:07It doesn't matter if I'm right or wrong, even though whenever we are reactive,

6:12David Ghiyam:we think we're right. The point is, am I reactive? Even for all the right reasons. I want to solve the problem. I want to clarify the problem. I want to fix this situation so that even other people don't get hurt. The bottom line is, are the movements of my finger, the sound of my voice, the conversation that I'm trying to have, is it coming from a place of fear or lack or pain or not? If it's coming from any of the former, if it's coming from lack, no matter what, it will end up in chaos. But you see, when we're feeling that pain, we just want to fill it up so badly. We want to say what we want to say.

7:03David Ghiyam:We want to defend what we want to defend. We want to defend our ego. We want to defend our position. We want to defend our honor. We want to defend our family. And we come up with all the reasons to justify reactive behavior. But the point is it's reactive. When you feel this longing for someone and you want to reach out to them. The moment you pick up the phone, you're reactive. Even if it's not a toxic person you're trying to reach out to. Even if it's your partner. It could even be your husband or your wife and you feel this incredible longing for them and you didn't grab the phone and start texting and not that there's anything wrong with expressing your feelings and emotions when you feel them the question always becomes why if you you could even be using your spouse you could even be using your dog right have you has that ever happened or your child has that ever happened like you feel down you feel low energy so you grab your dog you grab your pet and you squeeze it because essentially you need energy.

8:02David Ghiyam:But aren't you stealing energy from your pet? Well, no, the pet likes it too. My dog likes it when I hug him. Okay, so you've found a justification for stealing energy from your dog. You found a justification for being reactive because I could make the case about toxic relationships. Two needy people found each other and the moment one is needy, text the other one and the other person's so happy because they're needy and they're like, oh my God, she texts me or he texts me. And so they just two needy people texting each other. Does that make it right? Stealing energy always ends up in chaos. And we see this in relationships that are overly dramatic in the beginning, overly excited.

8:40David Ghiyam:Two people very excited about themselves in the beginning, very excited about the relationship, very excited about the love because for at least one of them, if not both of them, dating has been so disastrous. Relationships have been so toxic. They've only been living off of breadcrumbs. They are like thirsty. They've been in a desert thirsty for love. And all of a sudden they're giving each other love. So it's like, oh my God, it's so refreshing. But are these two people remembering why their soul came to this world, which is to experience that thirst, experience that pain, experience that yearning and not quickly fill it up reactively by something in this physical world.

9:24David Ghiyam:Whether that's a person, whether that is your career, whether that is Kabbalah, right? You can immerse yourself in spirituality, bathe yourself in classes all the time. That's also an escape. Are you escaping? There's always a question you need to ask yourself. Or are you standing in the pain, at least for a moment? Mind you, you don't have to live your whole life just standing in the pain because the moment you decide to stand in the pain, you've transformed the pain. it really only takes one second to pause so i go back to my example should i send the text or not it doesn't matter the test was can i get to a place where i'm excited that it happened where i'm blessing the person that i perceive hurt me and i'm not even i could be faking it in the beginning the fact that i'm blessing them even though i'm still angry inside but can i get to a place where I'm genuinely happy that it happened.

10:24David Ghiyam:Now, once I get there, once I'm genuinely happy that I was given the opportunity to change, I'm genuinely happy that I got to face the test because I know why my soul is here. I'm excited that I got to experience this test. I'm excited about the hurt. I'm excited about the rejection. I'm excited about the disappointment because I know I get more. I get more light in the bank, as long as I act like the light. I'm excited about it. Now, from a place of wholeness and excitement, ask the creator. What should I do here? What's the best thing, truly, for all parties involved? It's not about me anymore.

11:05David Ghiyam:I'm no longer reactive. Truly, I could care. I don't mind texting or not texting. Now, now that you don't care, either way, you don't feel you have to do something. What is the creator telling you to do? Because at that place where you feel whole and no longer reactive, you are a channel. So whatever thoughts come to you are divine. Whatever words come to you are divine. Whatever people come to you are divine. You are now connected to what's called the tree of life, this realm of perfection. And we vacillate between that world and the world the chaos. It's called the tree of knowledge. And so I'm always asking myself, am I coming?

11:50David Ghiyam:It's not about right or wrong. Am I coming from a place of lack or not? So think about in your own life right now. What are you doing at this very moment that maybe you're doing robotically, habitually even? Maybe you're doing because someone asked you to do it. Maybe you're doing because you're running away from something. You're afraid. What are you doing? That is from a place of lack. You could be driving right now to go get food because you're hungry. Well, the hunger came up and then you just got in your car and you're driving to a restaurant. Isn't that reactive? Answer is yes. So what, do I not eat food?

12:34David Ghiyam:You eat food, but you don't eat food the moment you're hungry, meaning the hunger comes up, your body says, get in a car or grab your phone, order some food or walk over to the fridge, get food. So are you any different than any animal in this world? Because animals are purely reactive, right? That's why we say, hey, this is your animalistic side, meaning you're hungry, you get food. You desire sex. You look for sex. You're tired. You sleep. These are animals. That's what animals do. They just try to survive. So the moment you're hungry and you walk over to the fridge, you are an animal. You're no different than a dog.

13:13David Ghiyam:Now, you want to be an angel. You want to rise to be angelic. Because angels create miracles. Angels are purely connected to the light of the creator. You want to be an angel? Then stop acting like an animal. Well, how do I do that? You're hungry. You get up to walk to the fridge. As you're walking to the fridge, you pause. That's it. You just pause. One second. And you say, why am I walking to the fridge? Because I'm hungry? Well, then I don't want to walk to the fridge. I don't want to feed my lock. And at that moment, you're like, you feel content because I want you to eat the light. Eat a light sandwich.

13:52David Ghiyam:Imagine right now you're eating the light of the creator. Let that fill you up. You know, it says that Moses went on the mountain for 40 days and 40 nights. And this number 40 appears a lot in the Bible, but 40 days and 40 nights. It said he fasted. It said he didn't eat food or drink water for 40 days. Well, how is that even possible? We would die. Moses found a way to eat light. You could eat light. Now, eat light for five seconds and then walk towards the fridge and eat food. But now you're walking towards the fridge, not because you have, oh my God, I have to eat, but eat with a different intention.

14:32David Ghiyam:So you know what? I don't need the food, but I'm gonna go reveal the food. Creator put food in my fridge. I don't want it to go to waste. I'm gonna reveal the energy of this apple. I'm gonna reveal the energy of this steak. I want you to shift from I'm eating steak to I'm revealing the energy of steak. What's the difference? I'm just still cutting it up, putting it in my mouth and chewing it. Why do I got to go through this additional process of wasting my time thinking differently about the same action that I'm doing? That is the difference between miracles and darkness. That you could be doing the same thing in your life.

15:13But if your intention, if you can come from a place of wholeness and not from lack,

15:18David Ghiyam:it's totally different. I remember one time talking to a content creator. She has a big following on Instagram. And we were catching up and I said, how are you doing with your platform? And she said, you know, I've had tremendous growth in the last year and my audience loves what I'm posting, but I'm genuinely worried. I said, what are you worried about? She said, you know, I came up with this concept. I shared this wisdom in the last year, but I don't know what to talk about next. I really don't have anything new to talk about. And I don't want to keep repeating the same concepts I have in the last year.

15:56And I said to her, I said, why do you think people follow you?

16:04David Ghiyam:Why do you think people are genuinely interested to listen to your podcast, listen to your reels when they're suggested to them, come to your events? Why do you think they come? Because your concepts are good? because the words coming out of your mouth are profound, I said to her, I promise you, AI could probably write something more profound than you. People don't care what you say. They are following you. They are paying you. They are listening to you. They are inspired by you because of the energy that is flowing through your soul to them. You are transferring energy to them. You are transferring consciousness to them.

16:49And usually what we are transferring to our audience is our belief systems.

16:57David Ghiyam:So, for example, even though I'm talking to you right now, I'm saying a bunch of words. If you take the transcript of this podcast, there's going to be a bunch of words on it. When you read those words, if 100 ,000 people listen to my podcast, and I ask each one of those people, what did you learn? Each of them are going to say something completely different. in fact, most of them will say something that I never even talked about. I've had that. I said, well, what did you learn? They go, I learned about this. And I said, I didn't even talk about that. Like, oh, really? You didn't talk about that?

17:30David Ghiyam:Because that's what I got. Why? Because the words are just vessels. We transfer a piece of our soul to our audience whenever we talk to them. That means that the spiritual work I've done in the last hour, the last 24 hours, the last seven days, the accumulation of the light I have generated in my life through my transformations, or not, I transfer to you. This is why you can't really fake energy. People might hear you say great words, but then they're going to walk away having more doubts and not wondering, wondering why they feel not so good when they hear you. I remember my first Kabbalah teacher didn't even speak English well, couldn't even hold a room well, but I was so engaged.

18:24David Ghiyam:I used to walk away, I was 15 years old. I said, this is so inspiring. Even though I barely understood what he said because he was transferring energy, not words. So when we are doing our spiritual work, which is the transformation of reactive behavior more than anything else. I mean, you pause. Pause when you feel the lack. Pause when you have doubts. Pause before you do something destructive. Pause before you go back to your ex. Pause before you feel the need. Pause before you go out on a date. Pause before you eat an apple. Pause, pause, pause and just talk with the creator and say, why am I doing this?

19:07David Ghiyam:I don't wanna do it to feel lack. I want to come from a place of wholeness. And then just feel whole. Just feel what it feels like to be whole. And then go about doing exactly what you were going to do, if that's what you're guided to. That small change right there shifts your energy so that even when you walk into the room, now you have an aura and everybody feels that aura. So you don't even need to say anything, by the way. You know, sometimes people talk a lot. Why do they talk so much? Because they're trying to overcompensate for the lack of aura they have. People talk a lot or they over-explain themselves because deep down inside, they believe that they didn't put enough light in the bank.

19:56David Ghiyam:They didn't do enough to put light in the bank. So they have to explain themselves to you.

20:04David Ghiyam:Some of the most successful people in the world, whenever I've been around them or if I've ever met them for the first time and I'm not even talking about the ones like you know of and you see on TV I'm talking about people who have tremendous influence or wealth or power but you don't even know that they exist whenever you ask them who they are, what they do they're very unbothered by even explaining themselves to you if I said what do you do and they say oh I'm in auto am i part of me i'm like i'm in auto automobiles okay he's most likely the ceo of ford or something that's how that's how somebody responds when they're in auto if he's a sales agent at a ford dealership there's nothing wrong with that or any kind of dealership he will over explain what he does say i'm a i'm an executive sales chairman of the the western division of the the overarching dealerships in the western hemisphere okay so you're a sales guy so whenever we over explain ourselves it's often because we're overcompensating for something we don't believe to be true about ourselves.

21:34David Ghiyam:Now, let's go back. There's nothing wrong with being a sales guy. It's what you believe about yourself as a sales guy. And if you truly believe you are the greatest and you are playing your unique role that the creator puts you to play at your greatest, then you don't need to talk about it too much. You don't need to talk about it too much. people will feel the energy the right people will come to you the right customers will come to you the right everything will come to you you don't need to be reactive so what is it what is it in your life that comes up for you as i share this where are you feeling that you're not enough and you have to overcompensate that's the work this week that's what will be revealed to you this week and you'll be given the strength from above to transform this once and for all.

22:34David Ghiyam:Not just temporarily, but to permanently heal this part forever. It's so meditation. Let's close our eyes for a moment and take a deep breath in and exhale.

22:56who are you to this world I want you to think about that for a moment do you believe that you are living your unique designated purpose from the creator how often do we find ourselves trying to live someone else's life someone else's purpose we see someone else's success someone else's timeline someone else's relationships and we think oh I should have that I should be on that timeline I should make that kind of money and at that moment when we think that and we feel that we've abandoned our own soul

24:05we are literally ignoring our soul betraying our soul because we're trying to be someone else's soul I want you to feel the pain your soul feels every time you look outside yourself

24:27and desire to live someone else's life every time you feel behind because of what someone else is doing every time you feel insecure because of what someone else has visualize your soul at that moment crying like the lover that you have at home that you are ignoring and you're out and about just giving energy to everyone else except to the person who loves you the most and supports you the most and you've left her or him back at home you're so busy with everyone else there's nothing left for the person back at home and that is your soul and so often we abandon our soul in pursuit of limerence and a moment of just feeling good or feeling respected just for a moment to have everybody clap for us and then we feel empty and we don't know why.

25:45We achieve our goals and then we feel empty and we don't know why. Because we left our soul behind to chase a goal. What would it mean to honor your soul? What would it mean to fall in love with your soul? What would it mean to talk to your soul more than you talk to other people? to date your soul, to marry your soul? What would it mean to never give up on your soul again? How does that feel? Your soul has all the answers, the wealth, the power, the wisdom. Why are you going outside? Why are you looking for it outside? It's right there. It's inside you. It's in your home. We're always looking for something else, right?

26:49We want to make it a little more difficult. It's too easy if it's right inside me. I need to suffer a little bit and look for it somewhere else.

27:03You don't need to make so much effort. You don't need to prove anything to anyone anymore. You don't need to vie for the love of other people and the respect of others. Everybody will chase you, look up to you, love you, respect you. When you start to marry your own soul.

In this episode I share why the universe stops testing people who refuse to grow, why every reactive impulse can be transformed with a one-second pause, why stealing energy from others always leads to chaos, and the shift that turns you from someone chasing outside to someone whose own soul becomes the source of everything you were looking for.
