Ep.77 How To Be Happy In ANY Situation & Rise Above Illusion

0:06Welcome everyone to episode 77 of the David Ghiyam podcast. We're talking about the energy of this week, some of the challenges that each of us might be going through and tools that the sages gave to us in order to transform those challenges into light, into miracles. we're actually beginning a six-week period that the sages have called Shovavim. And it's a period of time that we can rise above fantasy, illusions. Oftentimes, we have illusions about how certain things might be in the future, for better or worse. And those illusions cause us to be reactive. For example, many times when a person's in a relationship and that relationship isn't going well, there's a little bit of leaky energy.

0:53And so you can start to look at other relationships or other people and say, wow, that could be so much better. If I was with this person, I know I would be much happier. I wish I had something like that, that these other people do. It can be in business, the way people make money or the lifestyle that they live. And so these fantasies come to us, especially during this time. And the test is not to give in to the fantasy, but to ask ourselves what needs to repair deep within us so that the miracle, the true miracle of our soul is formed and it comes to us.

Think about what you're feeling right now.

2:40David Ghiyam:Emotions during this time can be quite raw. And we always need to reiterate how when challenges occur in our lives and painful situations kind of come up, often out of nowhere it seems, what's really happening here the first place that our ego goes to is that someone is hurting me something is happening that I don't like it's unfair and immediately we want to fix the pain we want to fix this uncomfortable situation

3:29we have learned this many times before and we must reiterate it once again there is nothing besides you and the light of the creator every other person in this world imagine they are just illusionary people who are here in order to help you

3:48David Ghiyam:get to your highest connection to the light of the Creator. So when people are interacting in our lives and we think they're doing something that is ungrateful, unappreciative, disrespectful, selfish, insensitive, we get so caught up on wanting to convey that to them. Hey, you need to change. Hey, I'm not going to stand for this anymore. Hey, I'm going to set a boundary with you. And you may need to have that conversation, by the way. That might be part of your spiritual work. However, before we get there, always we must start with, why is this happening to me? Why is the creator allowing someone to come into my life to hurt me?

4:33David Ghiyam:What is the wisdom here? What is it that I need to transform and change to rise to a new destiny where these type of painful situations don't occur anymore? it's a very simple process. Each one of us, our soul came to this world with a soul contract, a celestial contract between us and the Creator saying, hey, I want to receive everything in this world. I want to receive the highest levels of fulfillment, and often we don't even know what that looks like. The Creator wants to give you infinitely more than you even know you want to receive, but we'll put that aside for a moment. Okay, there is much more fulfillment coming towards you than you even know exists.

5:17David Ghiyam:Just know that. And in order to create the vessel for this fulfillment to come in,

5:26David Ghiyam:there's negativity that we all need to cleanse. The sages call it klipot, shells that are around us that are holding sparks of light hostage. The sparks of light belong to our soul, but we haven't earned them And we must earn them through our spiritual work. We've talked about this many times before. And I recommend all of you who only listen to my podcast to also listen to my masterclass, Your Infinite Soul. It goes through the step-by-step structure of why our souls came to this world and what we need to do in order to create miracles.

6:01David Ghiyam:When you break through a fear, when you're facing the unknown and you choose to have certainty beyond logic, you choose to have certainty that everything is good right now. Even if you don't know what to do. Even if you don't know what the solutions are. And you're choosing from the depths of your soul. You're reaching deep down inside. Instead of grabbing for instant gratification, instead of blaming other people, instead of going for the easy way out, you choose what you really feel in your soul is the right thing to do to break your fear. Forget about trying to solve the problem. Never try to solve a problem.

6:37David Ghiyam:That's a huge spiritual law. Don't try to solve problems. If you're trying to solve the problem, you're 99 % reactive. Most likely you're just reactive. And even if you manage to solve the problem, whatever that problem is, you've created so much dark reactive energy that that problem will come back even larger in a different way in a different part of your life. But it might seem to you like, hey, you're smart enough to have fixed that problem, which you really didn't. You just morphed it into a different new problem in a different part of your life. Now try to solve the problem. Try to solve the problem that's within you.

7:11David Ghiyam:What are you scared of right now? Where are you lacking certainty? Where are you lacking the knowledge that everything comes from the creator? Part of your spiritual work is to also get to a place where you believe without a shadow of a doubt that every single thing comes from the creator. Not just it's meant to be, or it was good for me, or it's meant to help me change. That's definitely 50 % of it. But there's a whole nother part, which is, yes, I'm here to transform, to become the greatest version of me, and it all comes from the Creator. The knowledge that it all comes from the Creator, the knowledge that I'm here to bind my soul to the light of the Creator, called divakut, cleaving, to become one with the Creator.

7:51David Ghiyam:This knowledge alone establishes a connection of your soul to the endless light. So powerful Just thinking about the Creator Think about when you're on a walk Just think about the Creator Think about how great the Creator is Think about how beautiful the Creator is King David, he wrote Psalms All the various religions that we have Who adhere to King David And the Psalms of King David What were the Psalms? He just was talking about the Creator Was writing poetry about the Creator Thinking about the Creator Yearning for the Creator Oftentimes we fall in love with someone. Imagine you fall in love with this incredible man and this incredible woman.

8:30David Ghiyam:You think about them all the time. You can't sleep when you think about them. You wake up and you look at your phone to see if they messaged you or not. You yearn for them. You're going out with them in a few days and you can't wait to see them. The yearning you have when you're in love, that yearning is what we all must have for the creator eventually. For a lot of people, it's just an intellectual yearning. or maybe just a concept of, hey, I know the creator exists, but whatever. An actual yearning to be one with the creator the way you yearn to be with a man or a woman. The way you yearn to have millions of dollars in prosperity, and you work so hard in your company to get there.

9:14David Ghiyam:The way you yearn to go on an amazing trip with your friends, and you look forward to this trip. Do you yearn also for the light of the creator? Is this part of your daily thinking? Wherever you are right now, you're driving, you're in the gym, you're going for a walk, you're making some food right now as you're listening to this podcast. When you're done listening, or even while you're listening, are you still thinking about the Creator? Are you talking with the Creator? Are you having a conversation with the Creator? Shovavim, the period of time we're in, which started last Saturday night and will go for six weeks is a period of returning sparks of light that we have lost by both being reactive, but also by maybe even doing very positive things, but not thinking about the creator while we did them.

10:02David Ghiyam:This is also a level of reactive behavior. The highest level we can reach is I transform my nature and I do it because I know I am getting to become one with the vibration of miracles called the creator. Some people call it God. Some people call it this universal force of energy, whatever you want to call it. It is understanding that your energy is becoming bound as one with the infinite energy that exists. Why is that important? This is not a religious mandate. This is not a rabbi or a priest telling you, hey, you should love God. I mean, someone telling me I should love God? When I was in my earlier years, I found Kabbalah when I was 15.

10:52But before that, you know, my 10, 11, 12, a rabbi would tell me you should love God. You know what I thought? I said, go screw yourself. That's what I said. I probably didn't use the word screw. Were you telling me love God? What does that even mean? Practically, what does that even mean? What do I care? And I look at their life. I'm like, you think I want to have the type of life you have?

11:14David Ghiyam:I want to be rich. I want to be successful. I want to be powerful. I want to create miracles. I want to fly. I don't want to become a rabbi. I don't want to become a priest. I don't want to become even just some guru that is telling everyone, love God. And what Kabbalah just does so beautifully is it brings a deeper meaning into what does that mean to love God practically? What's going on here? What is the scientific miraculous formula for loving God? And I'm going to explain it to you right now. Why is it that if you're arguing or fighting with your wife or husband, and there's a part of you that knows, hey, instead of fighting with them, I'm going to look inside myself, take responsibility and say, I'm going to change.

12:06That's really good, right? That's amazing. Every therapist in the world will tell you that's the right thing to do.

12:11David Ghiyam:Why is that only 50 % of the equation? Because if you change who you are, or you break your fear, you do anything, but you do it just to be a better person, or you do it just to make the other person happy, or you do it just to kind of get over the fighting, you will always go back to doing it again in a different way. Why? Because we all need to receive energy and ultimately if you're transforming who you are just to make the relationship better or make the other person like you or just to be a better person this is not enough energy to sustain you because king david said kol ha dam kozev every person in this world is going to eventually disappoint you every person in this world if you make them your source of energy or your god they will eventually leave you in order to show you not to lean on them as your crotch.

13:09David Ghiyam:So the reason why our secondary consciousness needs to be, I do everything not for you. Yes, the secondary reason is, it's for the relationship. It's for the person loving me more, me loving them more. But the primary reason is, I do this to bound my soul to light of the creator. And what is my source of energy? It's the creator. Where do I get light from? It's from the creator. So even when this person disrespects me, even when this person doesn't show up in the way I want, I'm not freaking out. I'm not freaking out. I'm not running towards trying to fix it. I'm not running towards trying to get energy elsewhere, which is often what happens.

13:46David Ghiyam:People who stray from relationships, people who cut corners in business, people who are ruining friendships earlier than they should are because something's not going the way they want and they freak out and they look for new energy and they're destroying the vessel of what they had before. However, when you know that everything you do is because you're bound to the light of the creator and the creator is going to take care of you, when you know that, you establish a connection. So when you break up in a relationship and some of you listening right now might be going through a breakup, why is this wisdom so powerful for you?

14:24David Ghiyam:So many people, I probably get hundreds of messages a day saying, Kabbalah changed their life. Kabbalah gave them the strength, wisdom, and power to go through the most difficult scenarios in their life. If you're going through a breakup right now, or some kind of grief, or some kind of loss, it is painful. You will always have to go through some level of pain. It's just 95 % of it will probably not be as painful as if you didn't have this wisdom. And the reason is because, hey, somebody just broke up with you. and you miss them and you feel a lot of lack you feel a lot of void and you have these memories that you no longer can go back to and you miss their their sense you miss their you miss the sight of amusement you miss spending time with them that is very normal however you also know that the creator is there and he's going to take care of you you also know that this person initially even came to your life, not because of anything you did, but because the creator arranged it.

15:26David Ghiyam:And you also know that there's no loss in energy. If it is yours, it is yours. Just because the person has left doesn't mean the energy has left. Did you know that? The person left, but did the energy leave? You still deserve love, quality time, affection, intimacy, just like you had it before. That energy never left. The only reason you're not feeling it right now is because you think it left. The physical body left. Who cares about the physical body? The soul is what's eternal. So when you know right now, I have complete certainty that even though the person broke up with me or you broke up with them and they're not physically there, I know the energy is there.

16:07David Ghiyam:But I'm laying in my bed alone. It feels so lonely. It's not lonely. You have to know the energy is right there in bed with you. The energy of the person is right there. But they left. No, they didn't leave. But they died. No, they didn't die. It says in the Bible, when Moses left this physical world, Moshe lo met. He did not die. But it said he died. Lo met. He did not die. No one ever dies. Nothing actually ever leaves. The reason why we feel that something has died is because we asked for the illusion of death. So that we can inject the truth of certainty that nothing ever died. It's very hard.

17:01It's very hard.

17:05David Ghiyam:And you will always go through some level of pain because we are a soul in a body and the body goes through pain. However, the more you learn this wisdom, the more you elevate to higher levels of consciousness, you will get to a place where you will never feel pain anymore. You will still experience challenges. Things will come and things will go, but you'll never feel pain. Things will come and they will go, but you will never feel pain. Why? Because you know that you are plugged into the source of endless energy. So if a relationship leaves, you know there'll be another relationship waiting for you.

17:34David Ghiyam:If the money leaves, you know that 10x the money will be waiting for you. If all of a sudden your reputation is ruined, people are speaking badly about you, something happened and now everyone is speaking badly about you, people don't trust you anymore. People are saying horrible things about you. Fine. What a pleasure this is. I once had a student of mine, it was about 15 years ago, she just started to study Kabbalah. She lived in a very wealthy neighborhood, one of these socialites, and everything was about status and power. And then one day something happened and her company failed and she had to file for bankruptcy.

18:10David Ghiyam:And the main magazine or newspaper of that town put on the front page that this couple went through bankruptcy. They were mortified and humiliated. Everyone's like, wait a minute, we thought you were this successful, amazing couple and now you're going through bankruptcy. They called me up freaking out because their whole life was predicated and built on look how amazing we are. The respect, the status, the status. It's very hard when you have so much respect and energy and then one night you lose everything. And nobody respects you anymore. No one's picking up your phone call. No one's calling you back.

18:44David Ghiyam:They look at you weird. She said to me, she said, I'm in so much humiliation and pain. What does this mean? What's going on? I said to her, you have to say, what a pleasure. What a gift. You have to get so excited about. You say thank you to the creator a thousand times for this level of humiliation. It's like, what are you talking about? I said, now is the moment that all your negativity is being cleansed. Now is the moment that your old vessel is being shattered. Now is the moment that finally you can climb to the highest level of who you were, but you were holding on to this old energy. It's old energy.

19:26David Ghiyam:Let it happen. Let it break. Let it break. How many of us are holding on to old energy? Let go. Let the river run. Don't be a swamp. Fresh water, not stale, stagnant water. If you are going through loss right now in your life, this is all part of the plan. This is all part of the six-week process. This is all part of cleansing old energy and bringing in new energy. But you must know the secret, especially now, is everything comes from the Creator. I have no fear. Everything comes from the Creator. I have no fear. Nothing has ever been lost. I have no fear. Nothing. You've never lost anything. Yeah, but where is it?

20:20David Ghiyam:They're kicking me out of my apartment right now. I'm six months behind in my rant. Six months behind in my rant. I'm everywhere I go, I'm just so humiliated. The person I've been spending every moment with, they're no longer there. I'm going through loss. I'm going through death. I was pregnant and then I lost the baby. I lost the baby. And now I'm very sad. It's very painful. You never lost the baby. I always shared the example when Miriam and I first had children, we had four miscarriages, two singles, and a set of twins miscarried by the second to third month. Very painful. Right after that, we had four children, two singles, and a set of twins.

21:08David Ghiyam:It's like literally the souls that left, they came back. It happened over a six-year period though, but it was painful when you're going through it. We just had to tell ourselves the loss is an illusion. Whatever lessons we need to learn from this. We will learn and then we will have certainty. Nothing's ever been lost. And as a result, the four children came back.

21:31And exactly 12 years ago, I was six months behind in rent. I had no money to even pay for water. We had no water. We had barely any way to live. It was 12 years ago. Things have changed today. I knew at the bottom of the bottom of the bottom that it was an illusion. And I remember walking down New York City saying, I'm not broke. I'm a billionaire. I had to shift into that consciousness. It took me a year.

21:56David Ghiyam:It wasn't easy. It doesn't have to take you a year. You could switch it right now. You can switch right now into the reality where you've lost nothing and you have everything. And this is now your time to do so. If you're listening right now to this podcast, it is your time to do so, to finally live the life that has been meant for you. The life you're looking for is not the life of, oh, I hope I get what I want. Imagine living that kind of life. I hope I get what I want. I hope someone likes me. I hope I get this money. I hope I find love one day. I hope somebody loves me. Imagine what a miserable, miserable way to live life, the effect.

22:36David Ghiyam:One day someone will give me money. One day someone will hire me. One day someone will like me, ugh, that's how you, I don't ever want to live that kind of life. No, right now, right now I have it. Imagine you choose when you want it. You choose soulmate now or no soulmate now. You choose happiness now or no happiness now. You choose wealth now or no wealth now. I'm telling you, I'm telling you, I can't even, I have endless stories. I have so many stories that are coming all to my mind. Having been on this path for what, 27 years now, story after story after story, I can't even tell you. Remember, for 90 % of my life, I didn't even have a penny.

23:12David Ghiyam:I was just working for nonprofit and just bringing Kabbalah to the world. I had maybe$1 ,000 in my bank account for a 15-year period of time. And I remember one day I was asked to go teach in the Philippines. I had a seminar with 500 people. I was 23 years old. So this was roughly 19 years ago. And I went to the airport. I have a seminar the next day. I have an economy ticket to go from LA to the Philippines. I forgot it was probably a 15-hour flight. I get to the airport and they say to me, sir, we don't have a ticket under your name. Something, some kind of mix-up happened. I said, there's no ticket here.

23:50And I said, what are you talking about? Of course I have a ticket. I went back to the emails. I showed it to them. They said, sir, we don't have any ticket. And all the seats are booked. I said, well, can I buy a seat? They said, all the seats are booked. They said, there's only a first class seat left. First class seat, very expensive. I don't have any money. I'm working for a nonprofit. And I said to them, I said, no, I do have a seat. And they said, sir, I'm sorry. We can't let you on this flight. I went back and I meditated. I said, I'm not even going for myself. I'm going for the light of the creator.

24:25I'm going for the Zohar to bring the energy of the Zohar to the world. It's my first seminar in the Philippines. in a 98 % Catholic country to bring the energy of spirituality there for the first time ever. It was actually a seminar on reincarnation. 500 people waited for me. I said, I have to get on this flight. They said, sir, sir, we're sorry. The next flight leaves the next day. And I said, that's too late. And then I remember I opened up the Zohar, which is the main text of the wisdom of Kabbalah, 2000 years old. The author of the Zohar is Rav Shimon Bar Yochai. That's his name, Rav, Rav, which means like a great teacher.
