Ep.95 How Your Words Are Destroying Your Protection

2:11David Ghiyam:So that starts May 20th to pay what feels right journey. And of course, if you remember, it's included. So I actually opened up a book called The Gates of Reincarnation by Rob Isaac Luria, who was a great sage who lived 500 years ago. He passed away at the age of 38, but it says that there had not been a soul that came to this world with a higher level of consciousness and understanding of how to create miracles in this world for thousands of years, since the time of what's called the Tanaim, which is 2 ,000 years ago, where there were great souls that walked this earth. It was around the same time that also Jesus was born and other great sages who understood the wisdom of what's called the Torah, which is also known as the Bible, also known as the five books of Moses, all the same name.

3:04David Ghiyam:These sages understood the depths and secrets, the mystical parts of the Torah, and not just in a religious way. Actually, not at all in a religious way. Religion wasn't even created then. It was all an understanding of how can we, as souls, create miracles in our own lives. All the secrets are there. And so these souls had come to this world to help not just reform themselves, transform themselves so they can bring miracles, but also how they could bring it to humanity later on. And many times you'll see that I'm speaking about the different prophets, the different sages, and they span all the major religions.

3:42David Ghiyam:I myself am not familiar with all the religions. So I ask for your forgiveness when I don't bring up all the religions. But you must know that the wisdom that I'm sharing is not my wisdom, but the wisdom of the sages helps connect all the religions together. It is considered the source that our soul came to this world with and how our soul can reunite with the light of the creator. here. So one of the things that the RE talks about is this idea of clothing. Did you know that we put on physical clothing, but we also have spiritual clothing? It's very interesting that humans are the only ones that wear clothes.

4:25David Ghiyam:Think about the animals. Why don't the animals wear clothes? When you think of each kingdom, the mineral kingdom, the vegetable kingdom, the animal and the human, the four kingdoms, humans are the only ones where we feel we need to wear clothing. And even cultures around the world who may don't wear clothing, there's always a part of the body that is covered. And often it's the reproductive organs that we cover. Why is that? What does clothing do? It says that clothing is a vessel for energy. So one of the reasons why people wear clothing over their reproductive organs is because the sexual organ reveals the most light, right?

5:03David Ghiyam:The sexual organ reveals more light than let's say the elbow does, right? Or the shoulders do. And so because there's so much light that is being revealed there, we need to conceal it. Otherwise you have a live wire. You have energy that is unharnessed. So in life, everything is about having a vessel to hold the light. And that is why the clothing, the physical clothing that we wear is so important. The fabric of the clothing is very important. For example, the sages, the RE specifically used to wear linen all the time, especially on the Sabbath, because linen has a very powerful energy of sharing, of mercy.

5:41David Ghiyam:And so it is the type of fabric that when you wear it can help harness that part of you that is the more sharing part of you. Simply by wearing linen, you can feel more like the creator. And so there's many things that we can say about clothing. For example, the stages say that a person should invest in dressing well. The clothing that you wear is representing the vessel of your body. Your body is the vessel of your soul, and your soul is the vessel of the light of the creator. And when you don't take care to wear the right clothing, clean clothing, clothing that is befitting of your highest energy, then your consciousness is going to be subject to negative forces, outside forces.

6:31David Ghiyam:So it's interesting to think that if I wear clothing that is dirty or I wear clothing that I don't take much care or thought in what I am wearing, I'm actually opening myself up to more negative thoughts, more anxiety, more fear.

6:49David Ghiyam:Oftentimes, a person questions that they should spend a lot of money on their clothing. I have learned and my teachers have taught me because the sages used to wear the finest clothing. You think of someone like in the time of King David or King Solomon or the high priests of the temple. They wore very fine clothing. They had gold. They had fabrics that were made by the finest tailors that were sourced from the finest places in the world. And everything that they wore had a specific energy. It wasn't just fashion. It was all according to the tree of life, which we're going to learn about more next week.

7:23David Ghiyam:So when you feel drawn to clothing, and it's not a reactive purchase, it's not like I need that or, oh my God, it's on sale, I better get it. Because sometimes we buy things and then we never wear it. That's more of a reactive purchase. But when you find something that really fits your energy, whether it's the fabric that you like, the colors are very important, or even who made it, there's a whole lineage of people who have touched that clothing that are injecting their consciousness into it, right? How it's made, was there pain involved, was there suffering involved, or was there joy involved?

7:59David Ghiyam:We know that we love our mom's food because of the love she puts into that food, into that soup, into that meat, into that dish. If someone else made the same exact food, but it wasn't made by your mom, and they made it just because they were making food to sell you, it doesn't feel the same. So the energy somebody puts in the making of something also matters as well. And we feel that. So our soul feels everything. Sometimes when I go shopping, my thing is I touch the clothing. When I touch the clothing, I can feel, okay, is this the right energy for me? Does this feel right to me? It's interesting, there's certain stores I go to where even if the clothing is different, Almost everything in that store, when I put it on, it feels right, even if it fits different.

8:48David Ghiyam:Because there must be something about that store. There must be something about the way they make it, the care they put into it, the consciousness of the founder. All of that goes into play. So we have physical clothing, which part of our spiritual work actually is to invest in that. That's the first thing I just want to start with before I go into the spiritual clothing. I was talking to someone who, trying to think if I can or should say their name, may not be an issue, but I had somebody who used to work for Tom Ford, was a well-known designer. And this person told me that from the moment he woke up in the morning, he always put on his finest clothing, whether he left the house or didn't leave the house, whether he would even see one person or not.

9:38David Ghiyam:He wore a suit, he wore his tie, he wore his clothing because he cared and believed in what that represented, even if nobody was around. You know, sometimes we're putting on nice clothing when we're trying to impress someone or when we have guests over or we're going out of our house. But when we're by ourselves, we don't really care. We don't care what we look like. We I remember talking to a friend of mine and she was saying that it was hard for her to date and she was looking to know what else she could do to attract the right match. She's doing a lot of spiritual work. One of the things I pointed out to her, I said, you know, her and I were going out with some friends to lunch.

10:20David Ghiyam:I said, for example, right now, the way you're dressed, would you be dressed this way if you were going out on a lunch date with a guy? And she said, no, I wouldn't be wearing these shoes or these socks. I'd probably put on some more makeup. It looked almost like she just kind of came out of the house because she was with some friends who she just felt very comfortable with. I said, I think it's wonderful that you don't care what anybody thinks. That is a good thing. However, when you come out into the world, you have to come out into the world like you're greeting the creator. You have to always be ready to greet the creator.

10:55David Ghiyam:And if you were going to meet the creator, how would you dress? If you're going to meet someone of a royal lineage or a president or a prime minister, how would you dress? It's not about caring what they think. It's about you dress in a way that becomes a vessel for the light that you will receive. If you dress well, you will attract that energy. If you care about the way you look, you will attract that energy. If your attitude is, I don't care what anybody thinks, or it's just a walk to lunch, I'm probably not going to see anybody who cares. That's probably exactly the time that the man that you were going to meet is going to show up.

11:35David Ghiyam:And you know what's funny? She was telling me about a guy that she was interested in. And we were talking about this at lunch. And I said, OK. And she's telling me how should I talk to him and all these things. Funny enough, we're walking on the street. And guess what happens? The guy walks right up to us on the street. And she is mortified. She's mortified. What are the odds of this happening? After we have the conversation, he just walks, turns the corner and walks it. I just thought it was an unbelievable story. And it was really the creator kind of saying, hey, it's not about dressing to impress.

12:05It's about dressing in a way that is authentic to you because you care about your body, your

12:12David Ghiyam:soul, and the light that fills that soul. And so everywhere we go, we should be ready to greet the creator because who is your soulmate? Your soulmate is the creator. Who is your business partner that you're gonna make a lot of money with? It's the creator. Everything is the same. The creator, your soulmate, your business partner, your family members, it's all the same. You can't care about showing up one way and then not showing up in a different way. And the most important thing is that you're showing up that is authentic to you, not to get someone's approval. So I share these concepts because it's always about finding the right balance and the right intention.

12:53David Ghiyam:So that is the first part of our spiritual work. This is actually the final week of what's called the Omer. It's a 49-day period of time where we're building a new vessel. And the final week is called Malchut. It's the vessel of the whole period of time. It's actually the clothing that we wear based on all the spiritual work that we did. So let's take a moment now. And before I continue, I just want you to think practically to yourself. How is what I just shared impactful to you? What is something you might do differently? What is something, you know, I always, when I liked something, and maybe I couldn't afford it at the time, or I thought maybe it's too expensive, but if I felt it was the right energy, I always bought it.

13:34David Ghiyam:You know how many times I tell people who maybe have a tikkun, a soul correction with spending money on themselves. I say, go out, buy yourself whatever you want. Buy yourself a beautiful wardrobe. Buy yourself things that maybe you think you can't afford. As long as the intention is, you want to invest in yourself. If you're investing in yourself, other people will invest in you. Oftentimes in relationships, the reason why someone doesn't treat you the way you want is because you're not investing in yourself, but you're asking everyone else to invest in yourself. And yes, clothing is a big part of it.

14:07Clothing is a big, and I talk to women, and often guys are

14:11David Ghiyam:the ones who don't care as much about it compared to women from just what I've noticed. And there are spiritual reasons for that as well, but oftentimes one of the things a woman will say to me is they find it very attractive when a man is taking care of the way they dress, is grooming himself properly, and cares about those little details because it means if he can take care of himself, he can take care of other people. Now what happens when a man is too much into that? It's all about the way he looks, all about his hair, all about his, then that means that's very self-centered. So it goes the other way.

14:47David Ghiyam:So everything is about balance and intention. So each one of us needs to find where we are on that spectrum and adjust accordingly and know that that is part of our spiritual work. What about spiritual clothing? So it says that throughout the day, we are all clothing our self, our aura essentially, with our consciousness and our words. That means that every word that we say becomes an article of clothing on our body. It says here from the RE, what is spiritual clothing? It's all the spiritual energy

15:33David Ghiyam:that comes from our thoughts, our words, and our actions, and then becomes like a fabric upon the soul. Our body is the clothing for the soul, and our thoughts, our desires, our words, and our actions become the clothing of the body. says that the Torah, the Bible, is the clothing of the creator. Very interesting. When I remember the first time I ever read the Bible, it made no sense to me. And I'm like, what is this? This is not practical. It doesn't tell me anything. But that's the whole point. It's coded. Kabbalah is the decodification of the Bible. That's actually what Kabbalah is. It's the fourth and highest, deepest level of the Bible.

16:25David Ghiyam:So it says that the Bible is the clothing of the creator. If you want to know the creator, you have to remove the clothing. And that's what Kabbalah does. It says something even more powerful. When you receive assistance from someone, or you receive wisdom from someone, or you receive support from someone like a mentor or a teacher, maybe you're listening to a podcast of someone. We all follow certain creators on social media and we learn things from them. Or even social media itself, you're learning things from social media. Whatever information or wisdom comes to you becomes a garment upon your soul.

17:02It's very

17:03David Ghiyam:interesting. Whatever information we are consuming and from whom we consume it becomes also part of our aura, part of our clothing. And that clothing then becomes what's called a surrounding light. So it's a light that surrounds you. So think about this. You're listening to this podcast. In this moment, you're actually creating a new wardrobe. A new clothing is surrounding your soul. You're learning concepts. Some of them are concepts I'm sharing with you, and some of them are concepts that are being revealed to you that I'm not even saying, but the energy of which are being revealed to you. You know it.

17:37David Ghiyam:I don't know. I don't know what's coming to you right now. I'm saying one thing, but you're hearing something totally different. But yeah, I think something like 200 ,000 people every week, thankfully, who listen to this podcast. If I asked each one of you, what did you get from this? Each one of you would say something different. And you know what, 90 % of the time has nothing to do with what I even said verbally. But there's an energy that's being revealed. And what happens is it becomes your new clothing and it surrounds you like an aura. And that light inspires you and pushes you. So for example, if we're learning about clothing, you're going to think about clothing.

18:11David Ghiyam:You're going to think about your spiritual clothing for the rest of the day, most likely. Every word that comes out of your mouth, you're going to remember this word, whether it's positive or negative, is going to surround you. If you speak evil speech, if you complain for one hour about your day, about your relationship, about your situation, that one hour of speech, maybe a thousand words, becomes your new clothing. and now you have negative clothing. And so with negative clothing, you attract negative situations. So yes, it is true that if you complain right now for one hour, the next three hours, you have a higher probability of getting into a car accident.

18:52David Ghiyam:God forbid. You have a higher probability of getting sick, like a virus entering. Maybe all of a sudden, someone will sneeze on you, just off the street, someone will sneeze and a microscopic germ will enter into your nostril and you'll get sick. What are the odds of that happening? And how is it that this person's sneezed got you sick? It's because you had negative clothing on from the one hour of complaining, so you did not have protection. So that germ was able to penetrate the spiritual clothing and get into your physical body. That doesn't mean that every time we get sick, that's what's happening.

19:29But when we think about protection, when we think about not getting into car accidents,

19:33David Ghiyam:When we think about meeting the right people, not finding relationships that end up wasting our time, or people who ghost you, or people who are taking advantage of you, don't you want to be protected? Don't you want to go places in this world and hope that those people who are going to hurt you will never find you? I was walking with a friend down the street. I saw a car, a very suspicious car pull up. And it was very clear they were scouting houses. I know this because many years ago, my house got broken into. And when I talked to the police, I saw the pattern. And they shared with me exactly what they do.

20:10David Ghiyam:And I saw that these people were scouting houses. OK? Now, maybe they were, maybe they weren't. But it pretty much looked like they were. They were taking photos of homes. They were writing things down. They were, it was of a manner that most likely, from what the police told me, This is the pattern that happens. It was a time of day that usually happens, so on and so forth. And I thought to myself, how are we gonna protect ourselves? Is it alarm systems? Is it gates? Is it security? You know, everyone's trying to get more security, more security, more security. And yes, the physical security, the walls of your house, that is a type of clothing around your house, right?

20:50David Ghiyam:So it is important. Actually, the Torah says a person should build a fence on the roof of their house so that someone doesn't fall off. Meaning you have to do something physically to protect what is yours. Otherwise, it is akin to putting a stick in front of a blind man. Meaning, if I put a bag of cash in the front seat of my car and I leave the car door open, someone walks by, sees the cash, sees it's easy to steal it and takes it, says the spiritual responsibility is on the person who left the cash there because you made it easy for someone else to fall. You made it easy for someone else to fall.

21:31David Ghiyam:Someone else had the tendency to steal and you activated it by making it easy for them to steal. Now, that sounds unfair. This person should have the spiritual strength not to steal. Yes, that is true, but you should never put a stick in front of a blind person. It's like someone is an alcoholic and you're serving them alcohol and saying, don't drink it, have willpower, but you're putting alcohol in front of them. You're making it hard for them to resist. And so there is a spiritual responsibility that we have as well. And so what is ultimately the protection that we have? And we have to know it is our consciousness.

22:07David Ghiyam:It is our consciousness is the highest level of protection that you have. Do you have certainty in your life? Certainty is your greatest, greatest protection. Oftentimes there's so many concepts we're learning. Oh, we just learned about clothing and auras and angels and whatnot. Great. All of That is great, but you need to know something. I share all of that because it's fascinating. It's interesting. But all of that leads to one thing, certainty. Having complete certainty in your life. When something goes wrong, having complete certainty. I just went in the other room and I saw that my dog chewed up my headphones.

22:40David Ghiyam:He doesn't chew things and he decided to chew up the headphones. I said, okay, this is annoying. I have to buy new headphones. Complete, just certainty. Even over the stupidest things, certainty that even this is good. dog chewed the headphones, that is good. You got rejected on something, that is good, I have complete certainty. You just spilled something on your shirt on your way to an important meeting, look at the stain on your shirt, I have complete certainty that is good. You woke up with a zit this morning, you woke up with acne, you have a puffiness around your eyes, you don't think you look attractive right now.
