Ep.96 Why Trying Harder Is Blocking Your Miracles

0:43Many times we are, especially on the spiritual path.

0:48David Ghiyam:We're holding on tightly. We are constantly in a state of self-scrutiny and scrutinizing other people. Do you feel that many times you are overthinking, overthinking all the information that is coming to you, something someone said, stuff that's happening all around the world? Maybe you feel like the world is speeding up at a pace that makes you very uncomfortable. You're overthinking family dynamics. Maybe you're worried about a parent that's getting older. Maybe you're getting worried that you're getting older. So many things that we're always thinking about. And the secret to living a blessed and miraculous life is to realize that our job is just to create space for the creator to do his job.

1:53David Ghiyam:What is the creator's job? The creator will solve all the problems. The creator will bring the blessings of abundance. The creator will help you come up with all the right ideas and bring the right relationships to you. The creator will also remove the people from your life who shouldn't be there. The creator will make sure that justice is served in all its right ways. Sometimes it might take days, weeks, or lifetimes, but there is a full circle moment that everyone goes through. Our job is simply to create the vessel for the creator to do his job. And the only reason we ever feel drained or anxious or tired is because we're doing someone else's job.

2:37David Ghiyam:Are you doing someone else's job. I'm not just talking about another person's job. That too will make you tired. If you try to emulate or mimic someone else's career, to try to be someone else you're not. If you try to keep up with the Joneses because someone else is doing it, you feel you need to do it too. If you see one of your friends being successful, so you think, well, I need to be as successful as they are. You see your friends getting married. You're not married. Well, I need to get married too. You see your friends having children. You see baby strollers everywhere you go and you feel behind.

3:13So now you need to work on that.

3:17David Ghiyam:That's what you're telling yourself. You're going to feel drained. You're going to feel tired. You have your own pace. You have your own track. You have your own soul's journey. One of my closest friends just got engaged at the age of 37 and there wasn't one time I ever felt her feel needy of being engaged, being in a relationship, getting married or having children. And then all of a sudden it's all happening for her, but she never felt like, oh my God, I have to do it. As a result, she attracted an incredible soul and it moved fairly quickly and now they're together. We need to know that worrying about something, overthinking it, gripping it tightly is not speeding it up.

4:02David Ghiyam:It's actually slowing down the destiny that the creator wants to give you. Let the creator do his job. And many times when we are consumed by something, when we feel that if I don't do it, no one's going to do it. If I don't do it, it's not going to get done right. If I don't do it, it's not going to get done on time. if you think this way, all you're doing is pushing the miracles of the creator out. The greatest blessings in your life are always gonna come to you through the back door, to the ways you're not paying attention, to the ways you did not plan. And the reason is because the miracles of the creator are the opposite of our ego.

4:42David Ghiyam:There is no synergy or affinity of form between the creator and our ego. So when our ego is asleep, when our ego is crushed, When our ego feels that it has no oxygen, that's when the creator can be revealed. And that is why the blessings come through the back door. It's not that, oh, you know, when you're not looking, the creator comes. That's not the reason. The reason is when you're not looking, your ego is not there. So the creator says, I can be revealed. That is what pride is. Pride is forgetting about the source. How many times throughout the day are we just forgetting about the source? We have busy schedules.

5:20David Ghiyam:We have meetings. We have a calendar. We have workouts. We have children. We have responsibilities. So we move on from one thing to another. I have to do this. I have to do that. People are waiting on you. Respond to that text message. I wonder what's going on in people's lives. I want to look at their stories. I wonder what's happening with my children. What's going on in their school? What about my friends? I haven't called that person in a while. We're going throughout our day. Wait one second. What about the creator? What about the source? What about the fact that without the creator's energy, we'd all die in a second?

5:56David Ghiyam:What about the fact that every single blessing that we have in our lives, every single blessing you have is from the creator? Creator sustaining everything, how quickly we forget. When do we remember the creator? Often in times of pain, of lack, we hit a wall and we cry out. We ask for help from the universe, aka the creator. or we might be upset with the creator. We don't agree with something that's happening. We feel betrayed by the creator. Either way, we remember the creator only in severe good times or severe bad times. But when life is just going, we forget. That is what pride is. And it says, creator says, I and someone with pride cannot coexist.

6:45David Ghiyam:The creator says I can exist with someone who is navigative or selfish, a murderer, a thief, but not someone who has pride, meaning someone who forgets that the creator is their partner. There's famous stories, actually, by the sages that there are criminals who were very successful at being thieves because they truly believed, like the Robin Hood theme, they were partnering with the creator. And just the thought that the creator was with them is actually blessing them. So yes, even when there's something negative, if you believe the creator is with you, it will have some benefit. It will give life to what you're doing.

7:23David Ghiyam:Ultimately, of course, if what you're doing is hurting people, it is not for the highest good of people. The creator's energy is not going to be there long term. It's going to leave and then there's always darkness and chaos. But that is the first thing we must all realize. Moving into this new chapter of our lives, moving past what was called the energy of the Omer into the month of Gemini and beyond, at least for the next few months before the energy shifts again. It's a time of openness and abundance. Be open. Let ideas come. Let innovation come. Let more people come into your lives. Let the unthinkable happen.

7:57Think like an air sign.

8:00David Ghiyam:Think expansive. Be open to things that you never thought were possible now will come to you. It will come in the way you least expect it. Go out for a walk and be open. Don't try to control your movements or your steps. I remember, I told this story once before on the podcast, if you remember many, probably a year ago, I was having lunch with one of my friends. Sorry, I was having lunch with one of my friends who, very intuitive, very intuitive person. And after lunch, I said, okay, well, I'm going to go for a walk. I'm going to go to the gym. And she's like, I'll walk down with you. And she looked at me.

8:43Actually, I asked her, I said, you know what? Give me a message. I'm open. I was going to go to the gym, but what do you think I should do? She said, are you 100 % open? I said, I'm 100 % open. Yeah. And this is actually on the day of the Sabbath. So I don't have my phone on me. I don't use electronics on the day of the Sabbath. It was a Saturday. And she said, I want you to turn left, and I want you to walk for 12 minutes, and you will know why you are there. I said, well, I don't have my phone or my watch, so I don't know what 12 minutes is. She's like, well, imagine that every step is a second, so that comes out to 720 steps.

9:31I was actually quite bothered because I still wanted to go to the gym. And the direction she pointed to was the opposite direction of the gym. I was kind of frustrated. And I kind of didn't want to listen to her at all and just go back to my original routine and my schedule. It was a nice thing to ask for a message. But once the message doesn't correspond with what you want it to do, it's not really a fun message anymore, is it? I said, no, I'm going to listen to her because I signed up for this exercise. and for those of you who might know me better i yes i have an openness to me but i also am very fixated on my schedule i'm fixated on the way i like to do things my taurus rising does not like change not at least change that's not on my terms so i said you know what i'll play ball no phone no watch i start walking left down a very busy street and actually i said to her i said do i turn on any of these streets do i turn left right or just keep walking she said you will know you will be guided what was interesting was actually if i walk long enough on that path i will reach the house where my kids are, which is, without getting the address, it actually has the number 720 in it.

10:52So I said, oh, maybe that's the sign from the creator. I'm supposed to go see my kids. And then she said, no, that is not the sign. You'll see what the sign is. That's all she said. Now, she didn't even know what she was saying. So I'm walking, right foot one, left foot two. And I'm counting all the way to 720. I think somewhere around the 500 mark, I reach a crossroads and there's, I could turn left, I could go straight. And I feel this energy pulling me to go left again. I thought, okay, so maybe this was the sign she was talking about. I'm now going down this hill left on this street. I'm counting 501, 502.

11:30I stop at 720. I look to the right, I see a house with a gate open. Most of the houses on this block actually are very fortified. There are no open gates, open doors. You can't just walk up to the house. I said, well, maybe this is a sign, but this is, you know, people don't just walk up to people's homes and ring the doorbell. But I said, I'm going to go do that. I walked up to the house

12:03David Ghiyam:and I see the number of the house is actually, I kid you not, 719. So there actually was no 720. It was 719 and 721. And I had literally stopped at 719. No way she could have known this. I started to proceed to knock on the door, wondering who am I about to meet? A woman looks through the curtain, starts to freak out, opens the door and said, are you David Guillaume? I said, yes. I said, who are you? And she proceeds to say something that has to do with a work opportunity that she had applied for with my company just a week ago. And she said she had just moved into this house a few weeks ago. and she said the fact that I'm walking up to her house she said what are you doing here I said it's kind of a long story I don't even know how to explain it but somebody told me to walk here and she invited me in and we started speaking and it was very fascinating the conversation we had and the reason why we had met 20 minutes later I leave now to go to the gym as I'm walking to the gym I feel this euphoria I feel like I'm in my absolute most channeled state.

13:27David Ghiyam:This is pretty incredible. Someone tells me just to walk 720 steps. I come upon a house that is 719 as the address, 719. And then I walk to a woman who just had moved there, who is currently working with my company and was looking for a sign. And there I am. But what was powerful for me and what brought me into my most channeled state was that I had let go fully. I fully let go and I said, creator, I put everything in your hands. My friend told me to do this and so now I am trusting. Not my friend so much, but the universe channeling through my friend. And what is powerful about this is I said, well, I want to feel this feeling all the time.

14:10David Ghiyam:Whenever we fully let go and are open, the creator is allowed to come in and you will have rewards blessings and ideas unlike anything before if you feel tired if you feel anxious if you feel like your body is starting to hurt you're starting to have pain in your body it's because we are holding on too tight it is now time to enter what is like the energy of the sabbath let go trust that the creator is going to take care of whatever you are working on. Trust that the creator knows your highest good and wants to partner with you. Trust that the creator can do many things for you. I was speaking to someone recently in a private coaching session and one of the reasons why she was blocking her soulmate from coming in is because she was focused on her career and she believes that you cannot have a successful career while also nourishing a successful relationship.

15:07David Ghiyam:This person is a manifest or this person is used to getting what she wants. And so this is the belief system. And I said to her, I said, you know, the creator can give you both and you can have spare time. In fact, the creator can give you everything at the same time. You don't just need to do one thing. Be open. Be open. Now, I am an advocate for people focusing and doing one thing at a time. But that also means simultaneously you are open to something the creator wants to give you that is out of your control. Do not have boundaries. Do not subconsciously push away the creator. Do not subconsciously push away a relationship because you think you can't handle one right now.

15:44David Ghiyam:Do not subconsciously push away investors or ideas or new businesses because you think you can't handle it right now. Do not subconsciously push away a social life or to go out and have fun because you think you can't handle it right now. Just tell the creator that you are open. Stick to your schedule, stick to your routine and simultaneously, equivalently be open. Tell the universe I am open to receive endless light, endless fulfillment, endless blessings, endless love, endless friendships, an endless social life, endless healing, endless good. I know that it is possible. I am open to receive it.

16:18David Ghiyam:And parallel to all of that, I will work as hard as I always have. I will do what I think is right. I will have a schedule. I will have a routine. I will be fixed in what I do. Fine. But if you want to show me something, show it to me. If you want me to hear something, make sure I hear it. If you want me to pursue something, make it clear to me. People often always ask, how do I know it's the creator telling me to do something? What's the negative side distracting me? If you are not sure, keep asking. I get signs and messages all day long. And then I ask the creator, I say, is this from you? Or is this a distraction?

16:57David Ghiyam:If it's not clear, I'll ask again. I said, pardon me, creator. is this from you or is this a distraction if I don't get a message I say excuse me creator I'm sorry to bother you but is this from you or is this a distraction I will ask until the creator is so annoyed by me says listen this is not from me move on or this is from me you must ask the question all the time I have a funny story to tell you I was at an event of mine and this woman comes up to me at the end of the event and says, David, I have your money. I said, pardon me? I don't know who you are. She said, what are you talking about?

17:36I am so-and-so. And she said her name. I said, I'm sorry, I've never met you before in my life. And what money are you talking about? She proceeds to open up her Telegram app and says, is this not you? I look at it and says, David Guillem with my photo on it. I say, click the icon and it shows no name, no number, no email. I said, I think you're being scammed.

18:03David Ghiyam:She proceeds to show me two months of conversations where she thought it was me. And she's been having a two-month conversation to which the end of this two-month conversation proceeded with telegram me saying I need six thousand dollars now guys if I ever tell you on any social platform that I need money from you you can pretty much assume that it's not going to be me I will never ask you for money I don't need I will never need money and I'm never going to ask for it if I ever did on a social account and she was holding something like $6 ,000 of cash, she said that she told whoever this person is, I won't wire it to you.

18:46David Ghiyam:I'll just bring it to you in person at the end of your event. I think that'll be much easier to which I'm sure this person realized the jig is up and he's going to be fined out. So I share this with you because you should always ask questions. If you're not sure what is the person behind it, If you're not sure if it's the creator or the negative side, keep asking questions. And thankfully, thankfully, this woman was asking some good questions and didn't just wire money over to someone, but came in person to make sure that it was me, which it was not. So I use this as a public service announcement as well.

19:25David Ghiyam:I will never ask you for money. And make sure that if anyone does, that you report them to my team and to the proper people immediately. So are you ready to be uncomfortable in receiving? It's very uncomfortable for people to receive. You know what the most common tikkun is on the tikkun quiz that people take? I think I have maybe close to 50 ,000 people who have taken the tikkun quiz, how to find out what your soul correction is. Number one is low self-worth, followed by control, and then a few others. Why low self-worth? Because many of us believe that although we might deserve or feel entitled to things, we often feel that we don't fully deserve everything.

20:20David Ghiyam:Do you believe that you deserve to receive endlessly? Or do you feel like endless is too much? Do you feel like there's only a certain amount of love, a certain type of person, a certain amount of abundance, and anything more than that would be unsavory, unethical, unbecoming? Do you believe that a certain amount of abundance would make your life complicated? Do you believe that if you were with someone who was exceptional that they might leave you? Many times someone tells me that they keep attracting someone. This woman just told me she keeps attracting men who are not high value men. and as we started to talk more and more we realized that her main tikkun her soul correction is control i said isn't it much easier to control a low value man she said yes these men are obsessed with me they'll never leave me they want to spend all their time with me they don't have jobs most times they don't know what their careers are i'm not attracted to this kind of man but i keep attracting them because now she realized that it's easier to control such a man.

21:31David Ghiyam:If control is your sole correction, then you may perceive that a high value man is going to force you to let go of control. And if you don't want to let go of control, then you will have a problem attracting the type of man you want. This goes also with your career. I was talking to someone recently and they said, I'm looking for a certain client and I keep attracting the bad kind of client. I don't want that kind of client. I want this kind of client. Proceeds to explain to me what kind of client she wants. I said, if you found this kind of client, then you would have to work very hard and you would be very successful.

22:12David Ghiyam:But I also get the feeling that you're not really ready to start that company, to start that path. And then she realized that on one hand, she's not ready to start the company. So why would the creator send her the right client? The creator is going to send you the wrong client so that you are manifesting what you want, which is not to start. The reason there's a block is just because deep down in your heart, you don't want to start yet. You don't want to do that work yet. And that's not a bad thing, but you must know that what we are experiencing and what we're feeling and what the universe is giving to us and serving to us is a product truly of our desires, both our conscious ones and our unconscious ones.

22:54David Ghiyam:And so sometimes life does not feel fair. And sometimes it feels like the challenges are not what you signed up for or what was promised to you after doing the work, spiritual work. You invested so much time, energy, money, effort into something, and now you're getting the opposite. You must know that your test may very well be to show unconditional certainty. Unconditional certainty by not getting the reward you looked for. Your test may very well be that when the darkness comes, not to say, I don't understand. I gave so much. I did so much. I sacrificed so much. I did what I was told. What is this reward?

23:40David Ghiyam:There's a verse from the sages in the Talmud that say, who is evil. It is the person that says, why would you serve the Lord? What profit is there? You know these type of people who say, why are you doing the spiritual work? Like, is this really going to give you a better life? Why don't you just come and spend all your time acquiring things and making money, doing things? But it's not about a person who says that. It is that we all have a voice. that comes to us, our negative side, after we've put a great amount of effort and love into something and we don't see a result, then that voice comes and says, what is the point of all this work?

24:22David Ghiyam:You should now abandon it. As you see, there are no results. You must stay strong. You must know that there will always be a reward and that reward is coming, but only after the process of doing the work followed by darkness and emptiness, that you cannot get the reward right away, in order for each one of us to exercise unconditional certainty because that is true love and that is what it means to love the creator and have a relationship with the creator. So hold on in your times of darkness. Let go of how you think the result must occur. Be open to receiving miracles now, great miracles, 10X the miracles you had on your vision board as your goals, a hundred times what you thought was even possible.

25:12David Ghiyam:Do not put a limitation on the creator. Do not put a cap on what the creator can do because the creator does not associate his energy with caps or limitations or small thinking. Think endlessly. And now you're inviting the creator into your life and into your home. Let's do a quick meditation. I want you to take a deep breath in. and exhale. I want you to see what your life would look like if you were so open, so innocent, like a child. You remember a moment as a child when you were younger that was one of your happiest freest moments? Do you remember the endlessness? The innocence? The smile that you always had?

26:20Do you remember that it was a time of no judgment? The happiness of just waking up in the morning? Seeing what new things would come your way? New events? New people? new projects, all the newness was so exciting. When was that time in your life? There's a reason why it says that prophecy comes to children. There's a reason why we love children, because of their innocence, but because of their openness. They are open to endless opportunities. They are not jaded. they are not corrupted they're not blocking themselves off from good energies and bad energies and overthinking everything children don't overthink children don't plan their future children are so present in the moment they just want to have fun they'll stay up all night they care how tired they'll be in the morning try to tell a child hey you should go to bed early so you're not tired in the morning they don't care they don't even know what that means now is the time to be that child again now is the time to be open don't worry the creator will protect you the creator will ensure the right people come to you and the wrong people stay away because you can't control that anyways.

27:59You don't have to think. I want you to feel safe this month. I want you to feel safe to take chances. Take the risks you've been waiting to take. Let go of your grip. Don't feel you need to overplan, overschedule. Don't feel like you need to micromanage, not people, not your business, not your family or your friends or your children feel what that feels like just to let it go but let it go to allow the light in I want you to visualize the light of the creator coming into your life, taking over fully let the creator run your household, let the creator run your business let the creator run your family, let the creator run your body your organs, as you breathe, as you inhale, feel that the Creator enters your lungs.

29:01There's no greater partner than you ever have. Everyone's looking for their life partner. You have your life partner. Feel that warm embrace of God. The Creator has never left us. the moment you were born in past lifetimes the creator has never left you no matter what you did the creator waits patiently because there is no coercion for us to invite that energy into our lives we are so lucky to live in this generation in this lifetime in this body the exact circumstances we have whatever your circumstances are you are so lucky because it is perfect. It is absolutely perfect for you to achieve your highest greatness and to receive all that has been destined for you.
