In short
Dean Phillips (Dino’s World) discusses how his Thailand/Wales social-media persona grew, why he says he “doesn’t apologise for nothing,” his divorce and using Thailand as an escape, and his views on “trolls,” identity politics, and the “dark side” of Pattaya/Walking Street. He also criticizes a separate controversial expat (“Danny Boy”) for racist rants and risky behavior.
Guest backgrounds
Dean Phillips is a Swansea-based social media personality who posts about life in Thailand and Wales under the Instagram handle “Dino’s World.” He presents himself as a proud dad of three and describes a 10-year marriage ending after his wife left him.
Key claims
Hate and backlash started immediately when he posted edgy reels; he says negativity is universal (he cites Robert De Niro as an example). He claims Thailand helped him cope after his divorce. He argues that people should not disrespect locals and warns that dangerous behavior can lead to violence. He condemns “identity politics” and says object-identifying and “furry” trends (including involving children) are harmful.
Notable examples
His first viral restaurant/review comments turning into insults; a Thailand bar fight where he says he was kicked and then choked a smaller opponent; a “bar girl trap” story involving a woman he believed loved him, then allegedly seeing her with another man at a cash point; and criticism of “Danny Boy” for allegedly being held at knife point and for calling Thai people “monkeys,” plus claims he’s a “functioning junkie.”

He said something about the Thai mafia. He's going to disappear. I've seen him disrespect the Thai people over there. And then I've seen him get their fucking heads kicked in. He's a fucking dead man walking. He smacked me around the head.
1:44Come on, big man, fight me. Get in the ring. And he's only a little fucker he is. He's going like, wham! He's booted me in the fucking mouth. He's split my mouth. I see this girl All tattoos up her leg She's absolutely incredible How big was her dick? I'm gonna stay with you Tonight you're gonna fuck me I'm fucking right I am She's got the toys And she's having a go On the other girl I fell off, line and sink For the bar girl trap People identifying As fucking objects Like you ain't a fucking Coffee table son You gotta be sectioned You ain't a fucking oyster son You fucked in the head Dressing up as animals And identifying as an animal allowing their children.
2:21That is fucking child abuse. You ain't a cat. What the fuck is going on here? Have you ever fucked a ladyboy?
2:33Dean, I've watched you work on social media and, I mean, what a fabulous character you are. I mean, some people will be shocked to the core with some of the stuff you come out with, but I feel like you put Swansea on the map in a sense of we won't be fucked with. You've made a, I feel like you've made a social media following or living, I don't know if you monetize it or however, by absolutely destroying people, not people that are being nice to you, people that are going in on you for whatever reason. And we'll try and find out why. But has there ever been a time where you've really, really gone in on someone and you thought, maybe that was a bit too far?
3:21Absolutely not. Absolutely not. The further I can go, the fucking better. That's the way I always see it. I mean, if they're good enough to give it, then they're good enough to take it. Simple. This is the perfect start to an interview, might I add. I don't apologise for what I do. Apologise for absolutely fuck all. If you're coming in on me, I'm going to go in. I'm going to go. Why do these people go in on you? And how did this whole social media journey thing start? Because you've got over 100 ,000 followers now. Yeah. It started in Thailand. I was spending a bit of time going back and forth.
3:57And then I'd met a girl over there. So I was obviously going back and forth a little bit more than I'd sort of planned to. And then one day I was sitting there on the beach just thinking, fuck, this country is going to be a place where I'm going to live when I'm older, you know, 100%. When my kids are growing up, that's where I'm going to be. but how am I going to sort of save to come over here when I'm spending all this money coming back and forth, you know, three, four times a fucking year. And I was watching a reel on my phone, and there was a guy, and he was holding his phone in his hand, and he was saying, everybody's got a device.
4:29I don't know whether it's in their hand when they park it. And he said, you've got access to the whole fucking world. And he said, if you utilise that correctly, we've got something different about your life, and you've got the balls, and he said, and thick enough skin to show that online. And he said, you could be on your way to escaping the matrix and earning money online. I was thinking, fucking hell. So I looked, I got a tie bird, yeah. I looked the other side, three ladyboys trotted past. Oh, fuck. My life's certainly fucking different. Do you know what I mean? So maybe I start showing a little bit about what's going on over here.
5:03I started making a couple of videos and straight away I noticed that it was a little bit edgy putting myself out there at the start. but even from the start one or two videos went out even sort of like a review of a restaurant in Patea you know this is where I eat oh it's lovely food and you're in there second comment then you fucking dickhead is shit and I'm like you fucking who's this cunt fucking look at him I'm like fuck he's having it you know where are you son who's one of those straight away so the hate started straight away like I don't know I'm going to carry on I'm going to keep putting these videos out that's what I want to do I'm going to have a crack at it and I started videoing some of the girls that were working in the bars are friends that have got their own bars and one of my videos had 19.6 million views and I remember coming back from Thailand that time and there were about 15 ,000 followers and my pal saying fucking hell how have you done that I said fuck I was just giving it a little go but he said what are you going to do now because you're you're not over there now do you know what I mean because originally I named my page it was something like Dino Patea and then I thought fucking hell I'm not over there all the time you know so So, you know, what am I going to call this?
6:12I don't know, I'll call it Dino's World because, you know, I do spend a lot of time in Wales, a lot of time in Thailand. Maybe I'll just show it all, you know? And that's sort of where it all come from. But the hate started straight away, straight away, during one of the very first one or two videos. Do you think that's because, I mean, I've been all over Thailand and I went, I'm 46. I know we're similar age in fact let me give you the credit you deserve you're 43 getting old you want to be younger and when I went to I'd done all over Thailand and Pattaya was very different very seedy I think it's changed now you'll tell me but it was a very seedy place a lot of misfits of society would go there a lot of fucking wrong-uns and you sort of knew what people were going over there for Do you think maybe the hate started because you were a stereotypical Brit that was going to Thailand and they thought in their mind you're out there to fuck as many birds?
7:17Yeah, possibly. But I just think with social media stuff, you know, you can watch videos. I remember watching something about Robert De Niro winning an award. And, you know, second comment then, oh, he's a shit actor. he's a fucking rubbish guy, he's an idiot. And again, talking about this guy's one of the best actors in the fucking world. Absolute rubbish. There's so much negativity in the world. So it doesn't matter where you are, what you're doing, who you are, there's always going to be someone that's going to want to hate on you or dislike you. Drag you down. I think we now live in the land of jealousy and resentment.
7:56And using Robert De Niro as an example, I mean, when we were younger, we would never look at actors and think about their political stance, because we didn't give a fuck. We just wanted to watch them act. I mean, if you look at Robert De Niro in Cape Fear, I mean, wow. I mean, fucking hell. Max Cady, what a film, what a character. Unbelievable. But offline, he's a bit of a cunt. But you never hear me say he's a bad actor. Exactly. Nah. Exactly. Before we get right under the bonnet of stuff, because I want to find out more about Thailand, because it's very interesting why a lot of Brits end up there.
8:32and also about your life. Yeah, yeah. Just give me like a two, three, four minute and my audience an overview of like, because there'll be people that know you, like all your audience are going to tune in and they're going to think, oh, this is great. I'm going to find out more about Dino because all I've ever seen him do is absolutely rip the fucking shit out of his trolls. But just who are you as a human being? And then we're going to get heavy. The social media stuff, all right? Yeah, I'm Dino. I'm a social media personality that creates content online under the Dino's World Instagram handle, where I create videos of my life in Thailand and in Wales.
9:15But as Dean, I'm just a proud dad of three that's trying to create a better life for my kids. And it's that simple. So before you've come on, I've researched and I've looked into you and I've spoke to a few people that know you personally. I won't name them in case I don't want to be named, but you're spoke of very, very highly, very highly from the people that you, well, you know, but you don't know who I spoke to from Swansea. And they said that, yeah, he is a staunch family man and he is a great dad. And so for that, I tip my hat to you because I think there's a lot of, I think a lot of people are lacking not just father figures, but just people that they can look up to and get inspiration from.
10:00But that aside, I want to know why Thailand keeps drawing you back. Have you ever fucked a ladyboy? Absolutely not. Did you ever think about fucking a ladyboy? It was never, I was a little bit, I'd never been around because the first go back to the first time I went to Thailand did you see how I just slipped that in there yeah no just straight in there you fucked the lady boy you didn't even see it coming just boom straight in there you know no fucking about that's what she he said leave it out
10:33the very first time I went to Thailand I'd gone through a bit of a bitter divorce you know so Ed was in the shed a little bit you know struggled for for a good few months going through the break up, you know, and until I learned that he was a fucking washing machine and then I was brand new. I was fucking quiet. But no, first time when I tied, I'd take my kids away first. We took the boys away. They were a little bit, you know, upset with everything had gone on. They hadn't seen a lot, but you could tell they were feeling it, you know. So first thing, take the kids away, take their minds off things.
11:08I was in Lanzarote for a week with the kids. And then when I came back, a pal of mine he said why don't you why don't you go away somewhere on your own you know he said I know you've taken the kids away great but it's not a switch off for you or such you know why don't you go somewhere far you know Thailand why don't you go love her in Thailand he said go up a day every couple of weeks over there and I've never been anywhere far before on my own you know so I said fucking I'm looking I said I'm just gonna fucking I'm gonna do it fucking I'm just gonna go to Thailand fucking boom So obviously looked at a few, you know, sort of videos of what's going on.
11:46It looks pretty, looks all right, you know. I'll have a bit of that. Anyway, booked it for about two weeks after I come back from Lanzarote. He was on a plane to Thailand on my own. And I remember the very first morning I got there in Bhatia, I was keen to get out. I was fucking knackered. It was a long flight. I thought, fuck, I'm going to get out, have a little look around, you know. So I was walking down this sort of main street, this cold soy buakow and I woke down there and I keep boiling hot and I must have must have looked like I'd just arrived a new guy their polo shirt long seat polo sweating pints of big patches under my under my armpits looking for something to have a drink but all the bars are closing it was early you know and there's this woman she's mounting up in this bar and she said oh she said you first time must have stood out like a fucking sore thumb sweating pints big sweat patches oh come in come in You want a drink?
12:41You want a drink? Oh, yes, please. Fucking thirst. She gets me a drink. You want something to eat? I said, oh, I'm a little bit hungry. Give money to me. Off she goes. She goes and gets food for me. You want cigarettes? Yeah, okay. She went and gets... I was like, what the fuck is this woman? It's doing absolutely anything for me. Everything for me. I'm thinking, fuck my ex-wife, won't pass me the fucking remote control of the other fucking CD. This Thai woman is going absolutely everything. I was like, what is this? So straight off the bat, I was like, Fucking hell, this is a nice place, this.
13:11You know, these people are lovely, you know, the whole culture and the place. But when I went back out then in the evening, fucking hell, wild, wild. And I was pretty naive to the whole Thailand scene. I'd never been before. So although I'd looked at videos, I didn't really understand the whole sort of bar girl scene. You know, that they were working. It was a bit naive to it. So I just thought, fuck, it's just loads of women everywhere. You know, and you've got these fucking 60, 70-year-old guys walking down the road doing the McGregor strut. Then these girls going, hey, sexy man, I'm thinking, fuck, I'm walking down the road.

Some of them are fucking incredible. And it just blew me away. But obviously, I was new to it all. To me, it's just all these beautiful Asian women, all just one in you, you know? Fucking hell, I was in my fucking aisles over there. So you was sold very quickly. Oh, very quickly.
15:18But about two days into that journey, I was there for 10 days, and I went down to a place called Walking Street, and it's full of go-go buzz. You've obviously been there anyway. Yeah, I've been to Thailand about 10 times. I've done Samui, Phuket, Pattaya, Bangkok, Koh Phangan. Where's the place where there's that big rock where they filmed a scene in James Bond? Oh, is it the Miabay? Peep the Islands, is it? Peep the Islands. Peep the Islands, yeah. So, yeah, I've... Beautiful there, right? I know Thailand well and I love it and I've seen every side of it. I mean, they call us Falang. Yeah, Falang.
15:56And I've seen people, well, I've seen Brits or they could have been Germans or like Europeans, I've seen them disrespect the Thai people over there. And then I've seen them get their fucking heads kicked in. Like, don't misbehave over there. And I am, there's a couple of questions I want to ask you because there's some people over there that I'm looking at at the moment. They're building content in Thailand. And I'm thinking, you're cunting off like the locals. You're behaving like a fucking arsehole. and don't be surprised if you end up getting taken somewhere and murdered. You probably even know what I'm talking about.
16:36Yeah, yeah. But, yeah, carry on with your experience. Because I found with Pattaya in particular that this was – and there was that guy there. Do you remember him? He was an Aussie guy that used to feed all the homeless dogs. Yeah, yeah. I can't remember his name. Bit of a mad fucker. Yeah. But what I found was with, like, they was all very different islands and all had a very different vibe. And I found that Pattaya attracted like the misfits of society. Oh, yeah. If they didn't fit in back home, over there they would. I was plenty of wrong hands over there. Yeah. 100%, yeah. But like I said, I was...
17:14Not that I'm putting you in that bracket. I was new to it. I'd never experienced anything like this before. All I could see was bars, bustling atmospheres, women everywhere, beautiful women, beautiful, you know. Some of these Thai women are incredible. Just fun. And it's what I needed in my life for that point. I'd gone through it. Because you were at a low point. Yeah, well, my wife left me. My wife left me. So that was the toughest thing for me. Were you married for long? Ten years, yeah. Ten years. So it was tough. And the toughest bit for me, really, looking back, it was not seeing my kids every day.
17:56Like I said, I'm a proud dad. My kids are everything to me. And especially one of my sons, he's a proper dad's boy, my 13-year-old. And I saved him once he fell in a pool when I was away on holiday with her. And I died then I saved him. He was only two-year-old. And from that day, he never left my side. And I'd always get up early in the house and I could hear him every morning. He'd run across the landing. And he'd always lock down the top step to see if I was there. And knowing that went away, oh, fuck, man. Why did she leave you? I don't know. She had her own reasons. I'm not saying I was perfect in the relationship, but she weren't either, and she wanted to come back later on.
18:37I got messages on my phone of her asking to get back, but I weren't interested. She dirtied me too much, you know, and the things she said when she left about me sort of threw me under the bus a little bit to justify her own reasons for leaving. And it hurt me, damaged me. And I could never go backwards in my life then. Change are proudly sponsoring the channel. And it's quite common where women leave men because they think the grass is greener. Yeah. Because they're kind of loyal. I mean, I'm going to get fucking absolute hate for this, but this isn't on it.
19:50I think women are loyal to their feelings at that moment in time. and I think we have to understand that men have a code. They stick together through thick and thin. They're law to each other, but, you know, women, they're law to their feelings at the time. But once they've had time to think and compute about whatever's happened and they've done, I think they do sort of come back full circle and, like, you found, like, I want to come back. Yeah. And you was too busy in Thailand. Yeah, but I was past it then, and for me, I'd moved on. I'd got over it. And for me, when I feel like there was nothing really worth losing your marriage over in the first place, if it was ever to try again, then you're always going to have that.
20:38And you're going to be like, well, I thought everything was fine last time. Yeah. So for me, no, I was done. And also, it's important to be honest about it. Yeah. No matter how big, strong, bald, muscular you are, you know, things can happen in relationships that can leave you feeling insecure forever. Yeah. And you really want your wife to sort of bolster you and make you feel like the man. Yeah. And if they don't, it fucking hurts. Yeah. And I look back, maybe I won the perfect husband. I don't think anybody is, are they, really? You were. Yeah, I fucking was. You fucking was. It's all her fault.
21:15Yeah. But you learn from it, don't you? You know, life is a full learning curve, isn't it? You never know what's around the corner, man. And you learn. But for me, I would never, I never go backwards in my life. Once something's done and I've been hurt, boom, you know. And even today, if things are negative, you know, negative for me or toxic for me, poof, cut them off. Friends, family, boom, gone. Don't need it. So Thailand was your, become your safe place. Yeah, but it was. Because it's so different. Yeah, it was fun. It was exciting. It was everything that I needed. How did you find all the misfits and the chaos?
21:57Well, I was a little bit oblivious to all that side of it because, like I said, two days in, I went onto our place, Walking Street, and it was all these go-go bars everywhere. So I was in and out there. But I was absolutely wanker this one night. And I love the Zambuca. Oh, fucking hell. Oh, Zambuca. It was Samson when I was over there. Oh, I love a Sambuca. So I was fucking absolutely holling. I'm sitting there and I was watching Thai fight then. We Thai, that's what I used to do when I was younger, Thai boxing. So I'm sitting there now minding my own business, watching absolutely holling and they fight and they're getting other people up to fight and this and that.
22:37And this guy has walked around now and he's asking people to fight. So I'm just minding my own business. I said, come on, big man. He smacked me around the head, right? So I've hit my tuff on my bottom. So I'm straight around, like, fuck, these fuckers cost me six grand. If he's cracked one of these, he's fucking dead. So I'm feeling it. Like, I'm fucking nice. Like, come on, big man, fight me. Fight, come on, get in the ring. Again, 1 ,500 or whatever. Come in, fight. I'm like, fuck, come on in, let's get up there. Fucking nice. Just clip me round the head. So I'm giving him the money. I'm in the ring now, and I'm absolutely holding.
23:06I'm thinking, what am I fucking doing by here now? Do I mean, there's loads of people sitting around watching. And I've seen all this play out. so I know what you mean. Yes, he's there now and he's bouncing around. He's only a little fucker. He is. He's going like, wham. He's booted me in the fucking mouth, right? He's split my mouth. I said, listen, I've got no fucking gum shield in, mate. Fucking hell, relax. Boom. He's done, oh, fucking hell. I've put him in a fucking headlock. I'm fucking choking at him and I'm steaming drunk as well. They're pulling me apart. All the crowd are booing, boo.
23:38I'm fucking cut off to the canter. I was carnage. so fucking they've kicked me out of there and as I'm leaving there this guy has said to me listen pal is this your first time in Thailand he said you can't behave that way man he said look just relax I said he kicked me and he said I know I know but relax you know because I've seen that because I'm familiar with Thailand that is so funny to think that you just went in there and started choking him yeah when he fucking kicked me in the face twice but I was steaming drunk I was very very drunk but this guy had told me to relax he said look you know you can't behave this way in Thailand because you're going to get fucking done in, son, you know?
24:15It's fucking funny. You've got to be careful. So I've left there. Because it is dangerous. Yeah. Oh, absolutely. But like I said, I'm naive to a tough, so it's all new. But I'm so, I'm buzzing. You know, this place is fucking, it's like an adult playground, you know? And I'm full of it. And I've left there and within 20 yards of leaving there, I see this girl and she's sitting on the bar on her own, having a drink, all tattoos up her leg she's absolutely incredible how big was her dick? oh it was it was like that it was it didn't require two hands you've got to get her straight in that one that's right she she's waving to me like this like she's talking to me come here you come here oh she is fucking out of this world and I'm 12 out of 10 and I've been with some pretty girls in the past but fucking hell she was phenomenal so I've gone over there I'm having a drink with her now and she's just fun she's all over I'm going to stay with you tonight you're going to fuck me and I'm fucking I'm fucking right I am where we go we go go party for fuck oh it was fucking outstanding I loved it she stayed with me all day all night and for the rest of the holiday I fell lock, line and sink for the the bar girl trap about four days of being with her She said, I need to tell you something.
25:42I think, oh, fuck, is she going to tell me? She said, I love you. I'm like, I fucking love you too. Fucking hell. What the fuck? I was fucking, I fell off line and sink with it. But I was, like I said, I was naive to it. I didn't know. Don't tell me that you were sending her money from home. No, but that's one thing I wasn't doing, right? She, when I left, she was ringing me every day, right? I love you so much. I'm like, I fucking love you too. the boys on the pub like ah fucking doing fucking twat I'm like ah fucking boys I falling in love with her like she's been looking she's she is smart you know she is really fucking smart I can see why you've fallen for her so we're having these calls back and forth but I was going through the process of selling my house at the time and um I thought right she's I guess we're gonna we'll buy a bar together we'll move to Samui and they're fucking like this is it I'm gonna sell you I'm fucking off, I'm going to Samoa, I'm going to buy my house over there, so the plan was to go back over in the end of May, and the house sale went through a lot quicker than we were planning, so I thought, do you know what I'm going to fucking surprise her do you know what I mean, I'm going to go over surprise her so I caught there was a night flight that makes you get there in the evening, was it a night flight or a morning flight I don't know, but I arrived there the night time, like 6ish, I got the potato I thought, you know what, I'm not going to ring her tonight.
27:07I'm going to have a cheeky night out first. Do you know what I mean? I thought, fuck yeah. I'll ring her in the morning. Get your priorities right now. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I went out, had a cheeky little night out. And in the morning, I'm having my breakfast then. I thought, I'm going to give her a ring now. So I'm sitting and eating my breakfast on this soy book out road, which is the main road that runs through Batea. And she walked past. I'm literally just about to go, fucking mouth full of breakfast. I was literally just about to call her. and this fella comes around the corner with her. He looked a little bit like me, you know, bald head, fucking tattoos.
27:42Oh, yeah. She goes up to the cash point with him. He puts money, his card in, gives money out, gives it to her. They start necking each other. I'm like, oh, fucking can't. I'd just flown halfway around the fucking world to see this, can't fucking hell. So I thought, oh, my dick. and I wasn't going to say anything. I wasn't going to say anything. I thought, do you know what? I called her, shouted, she froze. Oh, Jesus. She went, there aren't many people that would admit to this story, by the way. Fuck, she's gone, what the fuck are you doing here? Why are you coming here now? And I'm like, fuck, that's so fucking nice, It's just flown 12 hours to see you.

28:22But we was in love. Yeah, bear in mind, I just had a cheeky night out, do you know what I mean? And I had said, fuck, but anyway, that was besides the point. So this fella now, on to me like Annie's going fucking what's the issue with my bird and I went whoa whoa whoa whoa said easy fella I said look I don't want no trouble look I'm not yet to cause trouble I just come to see the girl and I've been seen you ain't been fucking seen I said look come on don't be silly for you now mate I said looking at her going like who the fuck is he you know thought we were in love like what's going on yeah this girl is ringing me every day and um he's getting really really arsy again and he's going you don't fucking know I said oh look mate fucking videos of my phone with her sucking me off if you want to fucking see him and he's thrown an A-maker over the top of her.
29:09I've ducked and he sort of stumbled. I grabbed him and I said, listen, pal, I said, look, I really don't want no fucking trouble over here but you do that one more time and I'm going to put my hands back on you but I don't want to fight. I don't want to fight over here, especially in Thailand. I don't want no trouble, you know? So I said to her, look, are you going to fucking tell this guy you are? She looked at the both of us and she pointed at me and she went, he fucking lying. to me I went what the fuck and this guy said leave us alone he said she's coming to live with me in Canada tomorrow he said I'll fucking leave us alone I went tomorrow look to this I thought if I had come when she had sort of planned for me to come but I can't bear in mind I come early to surprise her she wouldn't have even fucking been there so I went right whoa I said do you know what on that note enjoy your time in Canada I ain't gonna go and finish my fucking breakfast I went over and sat there I was like what the fuck but in a way I was glad that it had happened more or less the beginning because I was there for eight weeks then you know and boy did I fucking enjoy myself after but I learnt a very big lesson about the whole bar girl scene I thought I'd met a girl and we'd fallen in love together fucking hell I just this sort of cunt of falling in love with a fucking hooker.
30:32I mean, that's the reality of it. But so many guys make that mistake, you know? Well, me and my mate used to sit, we used to sit there and we used to look at, we used to call them the short timers or the long timers. And we'd see, I mean, you know the crack now, but we'd see the suckers going to the cash point. Yeah. Oh, me love you long time. Yeah. It's like, ah. But I didn't really. He thinks that she loves him. Yeah, yeah. But you would believe it with you. Yeah. I mean, a lot of people over there, you'll get some fucking 60-year-old fat fuck with nothing going for him with a bird half his age.
31:06So you can see how he could fall into that track. Yeah, yeah. But you... But I didn't know what her motive was because, like I said, I weren't sending her money. She wasn't asking me. What is God? So what was her... There was some ulterior motive there, but I just didn't really know what it was. Was I going to get... Was she keeping me as an option if it didn't work with this other guy obviously had a few more quid more than me? or was giving her more money? Was she keeping me on the back burner, maybe do me for money for a bar in some... I don't know. There was a plan there, you know? But I just fell off line and sank off her at all.
31:41All I seen was this fucking bird, incredible in shape. Like, she's fucked my brains out for the full week that I'd spent with her. You know, I was... Fuck, I was... I was having the time of my life. But I learned a very valuable lesson, I think, because after that... Did she reverse cowgirl you? Oh, she done everything. It was fucking... Did she hold your toes while she was doing it? Oh, she sucked my toes. She done everything. She was fucking... But she was... We were going to these... I was taking her to these barns. She was so pretty. I'd walk down the road with her and other guys were fucking...
32:15They gave me high fives and fist pumps. She was fucking beautiful. But like, you know, I'm walking around with her thinking, fucking, this is my fucking... Look at my bird, yeah. I've made it. Yeah, it's costing me 80 quid a fucking night, but this is fucking my bed and then you'll have people like me sitting in a bar watching you thinking he's a long timer she's caught him yeah but I was taking her to some of these naughty bars in Walkend Street some of these little side sides off Walkend Street and there's one called the Windmill Club I don't know if you ever went to that one and it's all sorts gone birds going out here with each other and they got all the toys out and fucking it's outstanding.
32:59I loved it. I loved it. It was great fun. When you say toys, do you mean Duplo or are you talking double-ended dildos? Oh, probably, yeah. They are fucking at it with each other. It's this bird, they'd be taking it in with me because women can't win it on their own, but if you've got a bird and you want to take it in with you, then you can go in as a couple. And she's up there and she's got the toys and she's having a go on the other go. Fucking her, the guy's coming on to me. Is that a bird? Yeah, yeah, yeah. She's fucking great. And she loved it. It was the fun that I needed at the time. It was great fun.
33:31But like I said, I learned a very valuable lesson. So apart from the whole, I suppose it's the female love a boy method, and it convince you that they're in love with you and you're completely cuntstruck and can't wait to get back out there and a lot of Brits send them money back. Oh, yeah, it's going on all the time. Yeah. You know, I started making reels. You started doing overtime to send her money back. I was actually taking a piss when I come back one time and I was making these reels sort of about my experiences of what I'd gone through. And they were like memes, but like, oh, voiceover, these memes on Thailand.
34:14Some of the really earliest stuff that I was doing. But they were so relatable, you know, and people were loving them, you know, especially a lot of people that were travelling to Thailand and they were seeing these themes and then they were having millions of views. And I must have done about eight or nine of them that had over four million views, you know? And then the page started growing and growing. Obviously, I'd go back to Thailand again and then it'd grow again when I was over there. But then I met my missus when now, one time I was over there then. We'll come back to the missus down the line because that sounds a bit too boring for this podcast.
34:50Yeah, yeah, yeah. People falling in love and living happily ever after. people don't tune into the show for that shit they want to know like the fucking raw stuff so let's talk about the dark side of Thailand let's talk about this guy that I keep I invited him on but then people from Thailand that I know said don't have him on he's causing fucking trouble over here and he's going to end up getting himself killed Danny Boy was it Danny Boy 83 or whatever he was being held hostage at knife point by a brass and some other geezer and he's still pulling out his phone recording it and then he went on some fucking rant saying how much he hates Thai people and they're monkeys and I'm watching this video thinking I've been to Thailand you're going to get yourself taken somewhere he's going to disappear remote and someone's going to fucking murder you and bury you and you're never going to be seen again is he acting or is he just a fucking no he's a fucking div that guy he upset a lot of people over there but that rant that he said about the Thai people, like I don't usually comment on other people's stuff, but that got under my skin.
35:59I'm not going to lie, that really got under my skin. He called them fucking monkeys, fucking rice and egg-eating rats and it pissed a lot of people off. I had a few phone calls, people saying, look, you know, they're living over there. Do you know where we can find this guy, you know? Oh, really? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm not surprised by that. And I just said, look, although I do the social media stuff, he is absolutely fuck all to do with me. And I think he's just an embarrassment. The guy's an embarrassment. He's sprouting his mouth off about everyone. He's falling out with everyone. Like when I spoke to Mariner this morning, Mariner said he's just a functioning junkie.
36:38That's what he is. The fact that he was in that little yabba den or whatever he was where he was getting held with a knife in the first place. Oh, is that a yabba den? Of course it was. That's what he was up to. You know, who puts themselves in that situation unless they're doing that sort of shit? Your favourite friend group is back. FX's Adults follows five roommates living in New York, leaning on each other to navigate love, work, friendship and family, while tackling pressing questions of your 20s like, what if the person who inherited your fake ID is cooler than you ever were? Why does being around your family make you regress into your worst self?
37:17And how do you tell your roommates, you have other friends? FX is adults. All episodes now streaming on Hulu. This episode is brought to you by ChatGPT. Hey, it's Bill Simmons from the Bill Simmons Podcast. Have you guys heard about ChatGPT work? It's the new way to use ChatGPT for bigger multi-step projects. And when you need more than just answers, give ChatGPT work access to your apps and files, and it can create real work documents like spreadsheets, slides and structured reports get started at chat gpt.com by selecting work mode available on plus and pro plans and for people that don't know what yabba is just give me a brief or my audience a brief overview because when i was back and forth like i see someone looks as fit as a fiddle as you maybe nine months later i went back they've been on the yabba fucking couldn't recognize him i mean I mean, that is a fierce drug, isn't it?
38:15Like a tablet. Yeah, I know they smoke it. They burn these tablets from, I don't know too much about it because it's not an interest of mine, you know. But it sends them fucking scatty. I remember watching a documentary once on Billy Moore. You know that Billy Moore? Yeah. And about his, because he gawked on Yabba when he was in Thailand. I've got a lot of time for Billy Moore. Yeah, he's very honest about all of his stuff. Yeah. So, yeah, go on. What is Yabba? Yeah, and it's like a tablet. And they burn it on the foil and then they smoke it, you know, and it sends them absolutely fucking duly.
38:51I'm trying to think. It's a whole mixture of, like, the worst kind of fucking drugs that you can imagine. Yeah, I don't actually know what it is. I know ice is a big drug over there. And then it's this yabba, whatever is in that yabba. I'm not too sure. So, yeah. So he's in a yabba then. He's a functioning junkie and he's upsetting. Yeah, he's upsetting. but it's an embarrassment. But then he falls out with everyone and then he pipes up and slags them all off. Like, he can't back up anything that he's seen. The guy's a fucking dickhead. And people like that are the people that I can't stand over there, you know?
39:26Disrespectful prick. I mean, fucking hell, when you're in someone else's country, be respectful. Yeah. To be going on a rant saying, I fucking hate Thai people, they're all monkeys, they're this, they're that, fucking rice, egg eating cunts and blah, blah, blah. I'm watching it thinking, I know what goes on in Thailand. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And if they see that, it made the... Crime Asia, didn't it? Yeah, Crime Asia. So it's already made the local news. So yeah, if he gets murdered, I won't be surprised. Jason Madden, I put a video up apologising on behalf of, you know, anyone from the UK that is over there, you know, for his behaviour.
40:05And good on him, because we should all call our community out. Yeah, yeah, and I had a lot of respect for Jase. Jase's a pal of mine, and I thought, when he put that video, good on you, Jase, because Jase doesn't usually get drawn into things like that. And he said that to me this morning. He said, but I felt the need to mention that, you know? And then that prick piped up then, make the video saying, fuck it, Marin is this, he's a fucking dickhead, I'll fucking do this. He ain't going to do shit. and now he's just created even more of a problem for himself. Like, he's probably going to have half of the old school Chelsea hair dunters looking for him now.
40:42If he thinks that people who Jason know, fucking he used to associate with, you know, aren't going to get fucking pissed off and want to weigh him in for that, he's a fucking idiot. The guy's an idiot and he's a fucking dead man walking. But, you know, he's made his own bed and we've got to lie in it, you know. And he's fucked ladyboys, isn't he? He's put videos out with women that have got Instagram accounts because I've been watching him thinking, I can't believe what I'm seeing. And then people have said to him, you do know that's a geezer. Yeah. And he's like, well, she only gave me a nosh.
41:14Like, it don't matter. You still did get your dick sucked by a ladyboy. By a guy, isn't it? Yeah. By a guy because that's what it, like when I first went to Thailand, the whole ladyboy thing, never been around anything like that before. So it was a little bit like, you know, they're everywhere. It's Thailand, you know. They're in all the bars, you know. They've got their own bars where there's full of them. And now you'll be in a game of pool in a bar and they'll walk past and they play full things and they'll make these silly little noises or they'll try and touch your arse. And, you know, first up, I was like, fucking hell, mate, you know.
41:49Fucking go there, son, you know. Really, I didn't like it. I've seen a group of ladyboys kick the fucking living daylights out of someone. Are they still? Oh, yeah, and it's usually the fucking Indians because them starving cunts when they fucking get their own lady body. They're all trying to fucking chip in for one and share it between fucking five of them. Do you know what I mean? And then they end up getting their fucking heads kicked in. Yeah, I've seen them. They're really fucking... People forget. It's like, yes, they're dressed like women, but they're geezers. Yeah. Down on Beach Road, it's like you'll have a lot of freelancers, as they call them, and a lot of the Indians, don't get me wrong, I've got going on all of them.
42:35I know a few Indians who've got businesses in Thailand and they're fucking really respectable fellas. But then you get a lot of them that come there on holiday and, oh, fucking hell, man. And they are the ones that they try to get things for free. They don't pay for this and then they end up being involved in fights. You see many videos of Patea and if a ladyboy is fucking filling someone in, it's usually an Indian guy because he hasn't paid for something, you know? What's the maddest thing or, yeah, like the wildest thing you've ever seen in Thailand that people wouldn't know about? I've seen a woman get smashed off her bike by a lorry and she flipped over a lot.
43:17She was dead. She hit the floor, bang, breathing out the eyes, all twisted up. And I was on the back of a motorbike, so I've got the guy, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. She said, she's fucking dead. He just drove around her. All the cars just driving around her. Like it was normal? Yeah. So when we stopped and I said, the guy, fucking hell. I said, what the fuck? I said, that woman's dying. You know, she's, oh, you know, very bad. He said, you know. I said, why wouldn't you help there? Like, what's that all about? Sometimes in Thailand, he said, you stop and you involved, you know. So it's like you can get drawn into things over there.
43:52And I've learned this with other things that have gone on. if you see things happening if you see someone held a gunpoint getting robbed sometimes say fuck or say nothing because if that gets blown up with the media and it becomes a big thing and then you've given a statement if they can't find out who's done that crime and the police say look you've got to nip this in the bud social media are all over this you've got to finish this bad for the area they'll do whatever they can to end it so they could turn around on you and say, you've fucking got to say that you made that up. Right. And that you've never seen how you were drunk.
44:30And then all of a sudden you're done for falsifying police reports on that kind of two years. Say fuck all. See, this is why I think that that Danny boy is going to end up getting himself murdered. Yeah, I do. And I think this is part of the reason why a lot of people are sort of tuning in to what he's doing. It's not because they're a fan of it. It's because he's a fucking car crash. but then Twatman, like this guy's an absolute fucking idiot and he's behaving in that way in that type of country where, you know, he said something about the Thai Mafia and I'm thinking, fucking hell, this guy is, he's going to disappear.
45:06He's going to, something bad is going to happen to him. Yeah, and because I've been to Thailand so many times, I know how it goes over there. Like you do more so than me. So yeah, I am tuning in thinking at what stage is, is he going to disappear? But let's move away from Thailand, as enjoyable as that's been, because you're also very funny online and you're funny in the flesh and you're a big bundle of joy and laughs. And we'll go into how you absolutely destroy the trolls that attack you. I mean, and you do it with absolute style. But why do you think so many people have lost their sense of humour nowadays?
45:49Have you sat there and thought, there used to be, because we're a similar age, there was once upon a time where everyone had a laugh and there was fun. Even comedians have lost their sense of humour. I've even got well-known comedians that won't come on my channel because they think I'm controversial. It's like, well, fucking years ago, you were making fun of all sorts of stuff. It's because of the ridiculous things that are being made acceptable today. That's one of them. Like, at least fucking being able to identify us whatever you want to be all sorts of ridiculous things are going on and then it's sort of us losing the freedom of free speech as a as a country and not being able to react to these ridiculous things are going on or say things about these ridiculous things are going on without being punished for it it's fucking ridiculous you know i know i don't care what anyone's sexuality is right i couldn't care less you know but then you've got people now that are being accepted in society, we're being made to accept these people identifying as fucking objects.
46:50Like, what the fuck is going on here? I've read something of some guy identifying himself as a coffee table. Like, what the fuck is going on? Like, you ain't a fucking coffee table, son. If you were born a boy or a fucking girl. You know, if you think you're a coffee table and you've got fucking problems, mate, you've got to be sectioned. It's not normal behaviour It's fucked up And then you've got That other fucking idiot Then that singer Who's the Sam Smith The fish of the Sam Smith Oh man Fish of them The fish of them prick Fuck Come on man It's funny I don't know exactly Who you were talking about If you want to be Or dress up With all this fucking weird shit Do it in the house Do be wherever The fuck you want to be But You know You identify as People identifying as objects And he said He made a statement and saying I'm fed up of being non-binary now, what can I identify as next?
47:48Oh, the world is my oyster. Oh, maybe I'll be an oyster. You ain't a fucking oyster, Sam. You fucked in the head, you silly cunt. Do you know what I mean? Why are we all accepting this? Why is this being made acceptable, Tufts? Come on. Mate, do you know what? What the fuck is going on here? I am in full support of this whole identity politics is absolute nonsense. and I don't agree with anybody identifying with something that they're not. But if Sam Smith was to wake up one day and announce, I'm going to identify as a cunt, I'd say agree. Yeah, spot on. I would agree with that one. But this guy has got a big platform.
48:28He's got a big platform. He's got a lot of children. I look up to him. I like his music. And it's not acceptable to be pushing that fucking shit because that's what it is, shit, isn't it? It's shit It's annoying Because I like his music as well Fucking hell And then you've got all this This furry thing as well That's going on People You know Allowing their children To be furries Like when I first What the fuck are people on about What's this furry shit And Swansea's pretty mad For like left wing ideologies Isn't it Yeah So it was like I never heard this When I sort of dug into it How is this real This can't be real You know People Dressing up as animals and identifying as an animal, like as a cat or a dog.
49:14Like, come on, man. And some of them even allowing their children to be able to know that. Now, that is fucking child abuse. And not being funny, right? If one of your pals, right, woke past the road with this fucking kid on a lead dress, a cat, he'd be saying, what the fuck's going on about that? Oh, my son's a fucking, you know, he's a gerbil today. you were fucking, you know, you're like, what are you doing? Come on, tough. Let's be real, yeah. Like, what the fuck are you doing? Oh, you're sitting down, giving an absolute bollocks. Fucking hell. The world is fucked up, man. It is. And I get a lot of stick from these type of, these people, they go in with me, and especially when I ever go back and I'm thinking, fuck you.
50:00Like, you ain't got no right whatsoever to fucking criticise me, you fucking weird cunt. Fucking hell. it's fucking true you're dressing up and you think you're a cat you fucking dickhead let's be real you're like you're either a boy you're born a boy or a girl there's no fucking you ain't a coffee table son Sam Smith you ain't a fucking oyster mate do you know what I mean you ain't a cat what the fuck is going on ya it's ridiculous it's ridiculous shit and I am fucking outing them outing them if they come in on me I am fucking outing them back simple as simple as this is so refreshing to hear But I'm not for me.
50:41I'm not doing anything. I'm really enjoying this. That's not. I'm not lying to you. No. These are straight up facts. But you're well known for not giving a fuck what you say or who you offend. Why is that? I'm turning negativity into humour. So I'm turning a negative into a positive. That's the way I see it. and at the same time I'm fucking ripping back into these fucking idiots as well. Like I said, a lot of the negativity do come from, you know, that sort of thing or whatever they are. I don't even know what you call them. You know, like mentally ill. That's the word. Have you got like your favourite troll that you've had the best fun with?
51:26I've had a few. I mean, I mean, every day you seem to find a new one. Yeah, I enjoy, like I did, I had this young lad, he must have only been around 19 then. And he went in on me pretty bad and sort of dug him out a little bit. And I didn't really have much to go off with him. Bad-looking kid, you know. Good-looking lad, you know. Fucking hell, he's quite sporty. I'm fucking struggling. Can't suck it. So I fucking started messaging his mother, dropping a few messages to the old girl. And she fucking, she took it. She took the bait. So I'm into his mouth. So then bang, I responded, boom, I didn't even go there, son.
52:08I meant you fucking old girl, son. Before you know it, I would be fucking upstairs fucking slamming. You were fucking old girl, son. Oh, and I went in on him. And then his brother got involved. And then, fuck, he was just some fucking shapeless. I ruined him. And then it was almost at the point, and I'm still playing the old girl. I'm feeding the old girl. and then like I mean she's she's putty in my hands you know I'm almost going on a fucking family holiday with them all I mean that's how far I've taken her with the mother and I am ruining him to the point now when they'd all argue and then he's not coming on fucking holiday with us it almost become like a fucking like a like an episode of fucking you know like a full series of fucking extenders I I enjoyed that I enjoyed trolling him back I guess you know I can't even see the joy in your face.
53:04Oh, I loved it. I loved it. But it's like, you know, like I said, if you're going to be prepared to give it, you've got to be prepared to take it. That's what I've always been told growing up, you know. Go fucking give it, son, if you can't take it, you know. And growing up was fun in the 80s. It was good laugh. It was good banter. The comedian side of things. I grew up watching stuff like Eddie Murphy's sort of like Delirious and Raw. They were outstanding. Chubby Brown, you know. Oh, mate, Eddie Murphy Delirious. I think he was about 21 when he was so young. I mean, what a fucking genius. And do you know what I've said?
53:43I've said this before. You know, we all get offended like, oh, racist this, racist that. Some of my favourite sketches of Eddie Murphy in Delirious is when he was imitating the white person. Yeah. And he spoke in the white voice. But his Bill Cosby impression and his Richard Pryor impression. That was amazing. And Mr. T when he was talking about Mr. T fucking him in the ass. And how he's going to clench his cheeks and rip his dick off. You just don't get that. Your favorite friend group is back. FX's Adults follows five roommates living in New York, leaning on each other to navigate love, work, friendship and family, while tackling pressing questions of your 20s like, what if the person who inherited your fake ID is cooler than you ever were?
54:26Why does being around your family make you regress into your worst self? And how do you tell your roommates that you have other friends? FX is adults. All episodes now streaming on Hulu. 55:09No more. You don't, but then this is part of the problem, because people feel like you're not allowed to see those type of things, you know? And, you know, I say whatever the fuck I want. And I'm a confident person in who I am. I know I'm a good guy, you know? I'm not fucking racist. I'm not this and that. all the things that people can call you. But I will rip into someone and say that he fucking, you know, your fucking mother's probably taken it up the ass with the big fucking black ones. Do you know what I mean? And then the abuse that I'll get, oh, you fucking... How am I? How was I making fucking race?
55:43It's just a choice that I decided to see. Fucking a lot of them. Couldn't care less. Have you ever ripped into the wrong person and thought, oh, shit, I fucked up here? Like someone that's, no one ever has turned up to you in person or. No, I did have a, I did have a weird situation going back about two weeks, three weeks ago at my cafe. I got sent a video on Instagram and it was a video of me on CCTV walking in Thailand with my missus. And I can hear someone going, is that the cunt? Yeah. And it was really strange. I was thinking, what the fuck is, what's that? that's like it was almost like CCTV footage and someone recording like this it was really strange and watching well anyway there had been a guy that had come in the cafe that had been a bit of a bit of a fucking awkward customer staff the female staff had made them feel uncomfortable and stuff I weren't there at the time but I had a phone call the following week to say look that guy came and made the staff feel uncomfortable he's back can you come down so I went straight down straight away as soon as I arrived he stood up and he went there he is the fucking cunt and I was sort of like I went okay yeah I don't mind the banter but when we got customers in the shop there's a time and a place you know this is my business you know especially if we got fucking children in there as well look mate can you you know pipe down a little bit like a little bit of respect oh yeah yeah yeah he sat down and straight away I thought I can see He's going to be a bit of a donut, this one.
57:26And I was sitting there then, sort of watching what was going on. And when he finished his food, he went up and he walked around the side door by where the kitchen door is outside, where the staff are cooking. And one of the chefs, she looked in, she went deep. And so I went up. I said, what's the matter, mate? I want to pass on the compliments to the chef. I said, yeah, sounds. I said, I'll give the message. She went, no, no, no. I want to fucking speak to her myself, he said. I said, I'll pass on the message. Like I said, she's busy. at the moment, so I will pass it on, thank you. No, he said, I want to fuck it.
57:57I said, listen, pal, I've just told you twice now, the staff are busy. I said, can you leave by here and go back inside, you know? I fucking, I just come back from fucking Thailand, no, he said, and I was over there, I was on the fucking yabba, and I still know how it goes, bro. I said, I don't know how that goes, bro, to be honest on my fucking thing, you know? Yeah, I had this girl driving me around, and he said, oh, he was fucking everywhere. He said, I went, oh, he said, fucking shut up. He said, I got four female staff in there and he was fucking speaking like a fucking dickhead. What do you fucking mind doing that again?
58:34Did you see the video I sent you, bro? I mean, fucking recording. So the recording video that I had was off this prick. So he's obviously one of my haters then that had sort of come to the restaurant. but what I think he was trying to do because he said because when I sort of went in on him a little bit he said you're as arrogant in real life as you are online and he said and I don't like the fact that I have to go up and fucking pay first for my food in a restaurant I said one is not a fucking restaurant it's a cafe I said if you don't like it fuck off if it's good enough for Nando is it's good enough for us he when my business partner jumped in he went don't leave it I think he he wanted me to put hands on him, I think.
59:20That's where he was going with it. Sounds like he's got an obsession with you. Yeah, but he was the guy. When he said about the video, I thought, fuck, I could hear that in the background of that video, there's the cunt there. That's a very weird... Weird one, yeah. Potentially dangerous, these stalky type fuckers, when they fixate on you. Yeah, 100%. I've got to be careful. I worry for my sort of... I can look after myself, but when I'm with my children, some people are fucked up, and they're fucked up. And they will target people that you love that are weaker than you because obviously you've got a background of fighting, and you do the Muay Thai.
59:55Don't you run boxing events? Yeah, yeah. Because I used to, well, I still do run a security firm, so I've done security for loads of boxing events, and I know just how fucking out of control they can get. You haven't just got two people having a fight in the crowd. You've got fucking 50 people either side just kicking off royally, and people that go to those events can have a good fucking route. Oh, yeah. What's that been like for you? It's been lucky so far. I've got the second one coming up on September the 12th at the Warehouse in Swansea, and it's a big one. I've got ex-world champion Gavin Rees, Welsh world champion Gavin Rees fighting on the show.
1:00:32I've got bare-knuckle boxer Sean George fighting on air, Joseph Hapgood. It's a big show, but I've also got Gavin Rees fighting a traveller, ex-pro traveller and we all know nice enough guys but they're a fucking handful when they're all together oh fuck you so and this is a big fight they both come in to fucking go you know so yeah it is going to be a little bit we are going to have to have a lot of fucking security in on that night you know I mean I've always got on with the travelling lads because if you give them respect they give it back yeah of course yeah and I admire the way they go about a lot of things and they stick together like glue but it's going to be a big fight this one and I'm excited they're doing well it's a proper level up from the first one you know I got in there with Liam Williams Liam the Machine Williams on the first show and oh nice it was funny people were like why the fuck have you probably gone and picked one of the best fucking Welsh boxers around at the moment he's a fucking well seasoned pro as well and he fucked me up you know he smashed my ribs in and he busts my nose, and he only used one hand, you know.
1:01:46That's how good he is. But for me, it was more along the lines of, do you know what, like I put on these men's mental health evenings, I see these guys that are struggling, they're going through the fucking mill every day. All I got to do is survive six minutes in a ring with a guy with padded gloves on, I'm like, yeah, he may be fucking really good. But that's all I got to do, you know, and then it's over. These guys are going through the mill every fucking day. And that's another thing I like about you. You talk about men's mental health a lot. Some people talk about it and I'm not convinced that they mean it.
1:02:20I just think they do it because they know it brings in a certain audience. But yeah, I see what you do and I think, yeah, he sincerely means. So when you talk about mental health, what's breaking men today, do you think? because I put on my own mental health evenings once a month I get a bit of feedback you know say feedback you pay attention I gauge yeah what they're struggling with some of them will talk some of them want and then afterwards some will say oh look I enjoyed I get the feedback I think I really enjoyed the day and then they'll talk to you personally I think financial stress from the way the government of you know doing things to the country is a big thing for people, just not being able to afford to do anything and putting pressure on them to support their families.
1:03:11You know, there's a lot that struggle in the group there with stuff like that. There's many different aspects to the mental health. I think like childhood trauma seems to be, you know, a big one. And grief. A bereavement that you just can't get over. And I can relate to that. My nan's been gone 16 years and I'm still fucking devastated. Like 16 years. So I totally get our, yeah, people completely underestimate a bereavement. Oh, yeah. It's normally people that haven't gone through one. And when I look at someone that hasn't lost somebody yet, I think one day you're going to get a phone call that you're never going to recover from.
1:03:51And I always let people know who I love. I'll be there for you. Yeah. Because I know how fucking serious that shit is. Oh, it's tough. And, you know, people say to me, fucking, I think they're part of the reason, like I have sort of opened up that sort of side a little bit to my social media where, but I didn't in the beginning. It was a little bit, you know, uncomfortable showing that sort of vulnerable side to me, I guess, where I talked about the losses I've had in my life, you know, both parents, my gran, both parents and a young baby, you know. and it brought me but showing that sort of emotion it's brought so many people to me you know as they got a lot of comfort from it yeah and fair play did you find it helped your healing journey by you speaking about it we don't ever get over it do we no no no you never get over it for me I feel like you learn to cope with it You know, you put it to a side and focus.
1:04:56You always get your moments where you get your trigger points and, you know, whether it's some music or a place or any, I can have a little tear, you know. And then it's like, come on, let's get, you know, let's get on with it. I'll still cry once a month. I've got the song tattooed around my neck that I played at my nan's funeral. And when that song comes on, I think, no, listen to it, fucking deal with it. And I could be in front of a group of people. if I feel like I need to cry and this is I mean fuck me we took a shift in this conversation but I think like if men bottle up their emotions they become very dangerous they become loose cannons and it's bad for their relationships if you bottle it up and you can just get yourself in all sorts of mischief but yeah for me if I feel sad and overwhelmed with that grief coming back because it comes in waves you can be absolutely fine and then the song comes on in the kitchen it's like fuck I'm in tears It's like, yeah, it's trauma that you've not recovered from.
1:05:57But I don't think you ever do. I just think you learn to live with it. Yeah, and the way I always look at it as well with my parents and stuff, because my dad died on the same day as my mum within three years apart. They both died on the same day within five minutes of the time. Fucking weird as that. 10th of March, you know, 2021 and 2024. 10th of March, 12 and like 12 or 5. Fucking hell. hell off. Fuck yeah. That's, I know. Carl, what a horrible day for you. It was a double, double whammy sort of thing, you know? Yeah, and do you think your dad died of a broken heart? No, they were both, my mother struggled with dementia, for many years, and they, my dad had to have his legs cut off, so it was diabetes, vascular disease, and so they were both put into separate care homes, and just deteriorated on their own individually, you know?
1:06:49The same day though? Yeah, Yeah, strange, isn't it? See, things like that I look into. I think is that, I don't know, is that like a sign of like the love for each other, that he clung on for as long as he could and on that day just gave up. Not that I want to talk out of place because it just gets my mind going. But I look at her and I take sort of, when I get moments when I'm upset, I think, oh, fucking hell, a little song or something, a little reminder. And I think, oh, do you know what? You can't just keep being, you know, sad. Like you get people that really, really struggle, depending on the circumstances of how you lost somebody as well.
1:07:24There's a lot to do with how you get over, you know, a loss. You know, if there's something really tragic, then fucking hell, I guess, it's a hell of a lot more tougher to deal with than, you know, going in the way that you're supposed to go, I guess. You know, like you get old and, you know, you get ill and you die sort of thing, you know. But I tried to look at it and think, right, okay, I've got to get on with it. You know, one life we got and my parents would want me to be doing my best and I'm going to go, same as how I'd feel if I was watching down on my kids. When I'm crying all the time, come on, son.
1:07:57Boys, go and live your life, you know. When you go to a grieving counsellor, they're having therapy, they do always say to you, you have to remember yourself because you're still alive and you've got to continue living. And, you know, we're here for a very short stint of time, really. and we'll all meet again, I hope. Not that I'm a religious person, but spiritual, I am. You said about losing a young one. Yeah, a young baby with my ex-partner. We were away in Magaluf on holiday and she was given her clear to fly. She was like seven months and I was quite late, but the doctor said it was all okay to fly.
1:08:38We were there for like three weeks and she started getting pains. and we just thought she'd eaten something bad but it was sort of like the last day or two of her holiday as well. I didn't have much money left. It was a while ago, so we were on mobile phones and stuff and a bit of a big thing back then. Although I had a phone with me, they weren't on you all the time like they are now, you know, so it was sort of in my bag with not much charge on it. But yeah, a doctor come to see her and said, look, you know, the pain's you have and the baby's on his way, you know. baby come in is what they said the spanish doctor i need ambulance yeah um and i only had my eldest son at the time which was from a different relationship um and he was five and um yeah an ambulance came to take her said baby baby's coming you know uh me and my son tried to jump in oh no no you can't come in the thing you've got to find your own way there i think i had something like 20 euros left of my name as well um oh i was it was horrendous it was a really really horrendous time of life they they they took her to this hospital called sauna spasus in my in my oka fucking absolutely huge fucking hospital couldn't nobody spoke english it was like it was a disaster i walked seven miles up a dual carriageway with my boy on my shoulders um just to save the last little bit of money i had just in case you know i needed food water or whatever i was it was it was a tough tough time tough time the baby was born then i was making plans little little boy brocco and um everything was fine he was you know he's you know moving his hands everything was fine and i was making plans to get my son on because they said look because it's premature you need to make sure that you stay here until the baby's strong enough for you to leave you know and i was making plans to get my son on all right we need to stay here for a month or two and then yeah bombshell they just walked in with like an interpreter they said oh baby baby I bleed on the brain if he live survive he gonna be like a plant need to decide turn off machine or not and off they fucking oh that's a fucking way to do fuck she's crying that's a hell of a way to deliver a message like that yeah yeah just do him straight be like a plant if he survives that's what they said and everyone's just crying and I was like, oh my God, we were going down and he just seemed fine in the little incubator, you know, moving his hands around, like, oh, fucking hell.
1:11:14How do you make that choice, you know, to fucking hell? But then, you know, at the same time, it's like this, you know, giving him a life for you. Oh man, it was tough, but we didn't need to make that decision. I was sitting down there with him and sort of had my hand in the thing and then I shut the bar I was just watching and then a flat link. Boo. And they come running in and they look at me and look at them and they just shook their head. Your favourite friend group is back. 1:12:44Tough time. My ex-partner still struggles with all that now. Oh, I bet, yeah. I don't think... How do you have... Yeah, to think, yeah, to grow a human in your body. Fucking hell, you know, even trying to get... And we tried to rearrange flights then, and then, you know, we managed to rearrange flights, even getting a charger for my phone. They wouldn't let us use the phone behind the reception. It was a nightmare. They rebooked flights and then cancelled them last minute because they said you can't leave the country until you get a death certificate and you need to go to the courthouse. Courthouse is closed until Tuesday.
1:13:22You need to stay here now for three more days. We probably were up in a hostel, which was in the hostel, all crying for three days. Like, fucking horrendous time. But, yeah, that was the loss there of a young child. Yeah. Well, I'm sorry to hear about all of your losses because I know they're not nice and I know that they never leave us. No, I don't. And I can totally relate. Yeah. Now that people have seen the human side of you, which who knew that that was going to come out? What's the biggest misconception about you lot? Who's the real Dean? Yeah, people think that this social media character, this Dean, because it is entertainment as well, Tufts.
1:14:02You know, it's like people think that I will, you know, someone will give me a bit of shit and bang, I'll just fire back these one-liners and this mess. But, you know, I decide, I dig them out. Look, I put material together. How am I going to deliver it? How am I going to make it funny? I'll record it sometimes and then it doesn't come across. I can be a bit more aggressive on that part. You know, I create, but like people think that you're just, bang, firing them out shit, you know. Just a ruthless machine. Yeah, and then they expect you to be this character, this Dino character all the time.
1:14:41You know, I get a lot of people that come to my CAF to show their support and come to meet you and stuff. And, you know, some go, oh, actually quite disappointed. You're actually really nice. Yeah, you're a normal human being. I thought you were going to call me a fat slag when I walked through the door. But it's like you haven't said anything bad to me. So I'm not just going to, I'm not a fucking idiot. I'm just going to abuse anybody for no reason, you know. But, yeah, I think that's the biggest misconception. People think I'm going to be, you know, this abusive fucking maniac. And how would you want to be remembered in 10 years from now?
1:15:16Couldn't give a fuck, Tufts. Couldn't give a fuck what people remember me for. If they had a laugh, great along the way, but my whole purpose is my boys and for them to look back and for what they think of me. Say, don't worry, my old man. Didn't give a fuck. And he had a go, you know, tried his best. That's the best answer I've ever been given when I asked people that. Yeah, good things are coming. Good things are coming. Well, good. And if you want to see the good things that are coming, I am going to put Dean's links in the description. Follow his journey. Great fun. Doesn't give a fuck. And you've now seen the human side of him.

Anything I've not asked that you just like? Final message to the masses. Keir Starmer's a cunt. Oh, on that note, thank you for coming on. It's been a pleasure. I really enjoyed that.
