In short
Ridvan (Apostate Prophet) explains why he left Islam after nearly 20 years as a Muslim, arguing Islam promotes child marriage, slavery/sex slavery, execution of apostates and blasphemers, violence against nonbelievers, and wife-beating. He also claims the Quran contains factual errors and self-contradictions, and that “religion of peace” propaganda was popularized after 9/11.
Guest background
Ridvan, raised in a devout Sunni Muslim household in Germany; later lived in Turkey. He says he became more dedicated in adulthood, then read the Quran in a language he understood and found it conflicted with modern knowledge and with Islamic teachings discouraging questioning.
Key claims (notable examples)
Muhammad married a six-year-old and consummated at nine; slavery and “right hands possess” justify sex slavery; apostates should be killed; Quran 9:29 supports fighting/subjugating Christians and Jews; Quran 4:34 permits beating wives. He cites Quran/Hadith issues like the “Ezra is the son of Allah” passage and the Dhul-Karnayn story matching Alexander romances. He also alleges violent acts including execution of Banu Qurayza men and enslaving women/children.

It is very, very troubling that Muslims everywhere take him as the perfect example to follow.
1:10A violent, intolerant, hateful religion. We should be aware that this is what Islam is. Muhammad Hijab. Have you debated him? Very, very stupid. He's mostly a loud mouth. He was specifically referring to my family and said that we are attention whores who would, if confronted by men like him, get on our knees and reluctantly open our mouths to find that we have been defiled. I didn't realise he was this romantic. Did you decline the blowjob?
1:37Ridvan, thank you for coming on. I'm going to start this interview by reading your pinned tweet on X. It says, We hate Islam because it promotes child marriage, slavery, sex slavery, killing apostates, killing blasphemers, fighting disbelievers, subjugating Christians and Jews, beating women, insulting Christians, insulting other religions, stupidity. Now, what did you mean by that? Exactly what I said. First of all, thank you for having me here. It's very, very good talking to you. But to get to that tweet, so it's very clear. We have for such a long time now had people tell us that Islam is a religion of peace.
2:30We are misunderstanding Islam, misinterpreting Islam. We are taking extreme interpretations of Islam or radical Islam and applying it to all of Islam or all of Muslims. And I think all of that is nonsense. I started out my mission because I was raised as a Muslim in a very religious Muslim household that was a very good family under Islamic standards. It wasn't radical at all. It was simply very devout as a Sunni religious Muslim family. In that Muslim family, I learned everything there is about Islam. I was raised as a good Muslim. I wasn't always perfect, but I did follow as much as I could.
3:12And later on, I became very devout. And I learned exactly what Islam is, which is why I left Islam in the end. So I started out specifically because I thought it disgusts me that there is this great effort by Muslims themselves or Muslim preachers to say, oh, we are just – it's just a religion like any other. We just believe in Allah, in God and that's it. And this is all just being misunderstood. It's not misunderstood. I said we hate Islam because it promotes child marriage. It's unanimous in Muslim scholarship, in Islamic jurisprudence, in Islamic history. It is undisputed that Muhammad himself, the prophet, who is supposed to be the perfect moral character for all mankind, that he, when he was in his 50s, married a little girl who was six years old.
4:01And he had some relations with her before she was nine. But when she was nine, he consummated the marriage. This is the perfect human being by Islamic standards, which is why Islamic jurisprudence has always concluded that it's okay to marry a little girl and also to have sex with her. The messed up aspect of this is that you cannot really make excuses for this and say, you know, those were different times. People had to marry young and all that. Muhammad was in his 50s. He already had multiple wives. There was no need for him, no need for survival or anything like that to have such a marriage.
4:38He simply wanted to marry a little child, so he did, and he had sex with her. And this is now the norm in Islam. So when Muslims come out and say, oh, you know, a child marriage is bad or pedophilia is bad, they are simply adopting Western, you know, Western morality, Western talking points. In Islam, there is nothing wrong with child marriage. It is promoted in many Islamic countries. When it comes to slavery, the Quran has always promoted slavery. and made excuses for it. Muhammad himself promoted slavery and he had multiple slaves, including primarily black slaves. Sex slavery is allowed. The traditionalist Muslims still advocate for the bringing back of it.
5:15One name I can happily drop is Daniel Hakikechu. I would love to promote that guy as a voice for Islam. He's very proud to be a traditional Muslim. Muhammad himself allowed and also participated in sex slavery, Meaning taking slaves from your opponents, taking the women of the men that you kill and then having sex with them because as long as she's your slave, as the Quran says, those whom your right hands possess, referring to women as slaves, you may have sex with them as you wish. Muhammad said that all who leave their religion should be killed. I'm somebody who left Islam so he said I should be killed.
5:58Islamic scholars have unanimously concluded that this should be upheld at all times. He killed blasphemers. He also ordered those who insult him to be killed. Fighting the disbelievers, the Quran says in chapter 9, verse 29, that Muslims are to fight all those who do not convert to Islam, including among the Christians and Jews, and subjugate them and take protection money or kill them. Muhammad himself said he was sent to fight and kill them. it directly insults and orders the subjugation of christians and jews in the quran multiple times and describes the christians and jews as the worst of creatures and so forth so uh everything i said i said here chapter 4 verse 34 in the quran says that uh that women are supposed to be are supposed to obey their husbands and if they do not uh if the husbands fear arrogance just fear arrogance.
6:51The husbands ought to beat the women. This is Islamic discipline. So everything that I said is directly simply a clear factual analysis of what Islam is and why people like me and others hate it and should oppose it. As soon as you were raised as a Muslim, I'd say you're pretty qualified to discuss Islam. But that list you've just described graphically, clear to the point, no misunderstanding. There's going to be Muslims that are saying that you're lying or you're taking things out of context. Why and how would you debunk the accusation that you're twisting the words that are in the Quran and the Hadith and their general belief system?
7:39Very easy. I would they are lying and they're taking it out of context. Just like that. But why do so many do it? If you're really true to your religion and you believe it with every fibre of your being, why pretend it's not what it is? Of course, the response in that, when we deal with apologists, it is easy when they make such an accusation and say that I am lying or people like me are lying and taking things out of context. It would be rhetorically totally fine for me to say, you know what, you are lying. How about that? But I also do understand where some of these people come from. There are lots of Muslims out there who were simply born as Muslims, who were born into a Muslim family.
8:20They were raised as Muslims. They are at the bottom of it all, under the shell of Islam. They are simply humans like you and me. They live in today's world. They are impacted and influenced by the Western values that have been spread all over the world. They also have interactions with other human beings and don't necessarily always agree with the morality that Islam imposes upon them. So in order to navigate in this world that we are in, they will sometimes deny what Islam actually is, not only to others but also to themselves. Many people will lie to themselves and will actually convince themselves that Islam doesn't actually teach all these brutal, hateful, disgusting things.
9:05They will try to somehow interpret it as something that it is not. The problem is that these efforts are often made by people who don't really take Islam that seriously and who don't adhere to it in the traditional way. those who do, those who are traditionalist Muslims, will generally agree with me on the things that I claimed about Islam. They will simply, they will just explain it away and somehow argue that it is not evil to kill apostates. I've talked to many of these Muslim apologists who are traditionalists. They will argue that it's actually completely justified to execute people who leave Islam.
9:44So when I say that Islam is evil, it orders the killing of apostates, they will say, I am here to refute this. It's actually not evil. And you shouldn't be singling out Islam for killing apostates. It's actually justified because leaving Islam is a form of treason. And, you know, there are laws for, you know, for treason in America and in other countries. And because Islam is a strong religion that must have some, you know, restrictions and some punishments for treason, Islam also naturally should have the right to execute those who betray it. So they will simply justify it and still agree with me essentially that Islam does do these things.
10:24Or they will say that when it comes to child marriage, for example, that, you know, times were different back then. It was okay for Muhammad to marry a little girl and rape her. And it can still be done today. Muhammad Hijab is one of the famous ones who has said that pedophilia is relative. If a girl matures quickly, it is okay, it is justified to marry her and have sex with her. But he will refuse to call it child marriage because he will say that if she shows signs of growth, then she's basically, she's no longer a child. She's basically an adult, even if she's 80 years old. So most of the traditionalists, they will agree with me with my conclusions here.
11:04They will simply explain it away in a different way. And those who don't agree with it, those who make up lies about it, I would simply invite them to go back to the sources, to the Quran and the Hadith themselves, and then have a discussion right there about that. Because I don't want to take any other sources. I don't want to take what you or he or she says about Islam. I want to take the sources themselves. Is there such a thing as a moderate Muslim? A moderate Muslim would be somebody who doesn't abide by traditional Islam and who simply lives there, lives his life. I would I was at some point maybe what you would call a moderate Muslim.
11:39I know people who are what you would call a moderate Muslim. They just don't really care about Islam. They just live their lives. It's like if there was a term for a Catholic who doesn't regularly go to church and you wanted to call them a moderate Catholic, I guess that would be kind of the equivalent of a moderate Muslim. Are they moderates because they don't understand Islam fully? This is kind of connected to one question that people generally have, which is can Islam be reformed? to which I will say, no, it can't. You will always have people who don't adhere to the traditional form, the actual form of Islam, and who will try to reinterpret and change it or who won't practice it properly.
12:19But unfortunately, that's not enough because there will always be a big section of Muslims who will abide by Islam as it is. And as long as that exists, the existence of moderate Muslims or reformed Muslims or anything like that is irrelevant. I've heard you say that Islam is false. Yes. What evidence have you got to back that up? I would recommend a wonderful book that a good friend of ours has recently written, Chris, Christopher Frost, who goes to Speaker's Corner. He wrote a book called The Islamic Dilemma. Shouting it out and promoting it right here. It's a very good book. But the evidence is abundant.
13:01I made several or many videos such as a simple one is the following. Islam is claimed to be true because the Quran is claimed to be the word of Allah, the almighty creator, the all-knowing. So the Quran is supposed to be a perfect book. it says, the Qur 'an itself says in chapter 2 that if it was from any other than Allah, from God, you would find within it contradictions or mistakes. So the book is not allowed to have any mistakes. If it does have mistakes, if it does have flaws, then it is not from Allah. Well, the Qur 'an does have flaws. In chapter 9, verse 30, it says the following, and the Jews say Ezra is the son of Allah and the Christians say the Messiah is the Son of Allah.
13:52Now when it says the Christians say the Messiah is the Son of Allah, we get what it says. The Christians believe that Jesus is the Son of God. But it says, and the Jews say Ezra is the Son of Allah. Nobody has any idea what that is talking about. There have never been any Jews who believe that Ezra, who is Ezra the scribe or the prophet in the Bible, that he is somehow God or the Son of God. It goes further in the Hadith, Muhammad even expands on that and says that on the day of judgment, the Jews will be called forth and they will be asked, what did you use to worship? And they will say, we used to worship Ezra, the son of Allah.
14:28I don't know what exactly, nobody knows what exactly happened. Muhammad seems to have misunderstood something or, you know, maybe the Jews were trolling him and he somehow fell for it. But the Quran makes a completely false claim. Even back then there was trolls. Yeah, they trolled him and he fell for it. I don't know what exactly happened. Nobody knows. So the Quran makes many false claims, including that one, which is a very obvious false claim. You can refute it. You can never, ever refute the very clear conclusion that it is a false claim. There is simply no explanation, no justification to it.
15:02Aside from that, the Quran also, the Quran claims that it is authored by the God of the Bible. So it says in its time that the Jews and the Christians ought to stand upon the Torah and the gospel, which it calls the Injil in Arabic, the Evangelion, the gospel. However, it later on starts making many claims that directly contradict with the Torah and the gospels. It at first affirms the validity and authority and the preservation of the Torah and the gospel of the previous scriptures, but then later on completely and fully contradicts with them and says, for example, that Jesus is not God and that he's not the Son of God and anyone who believes that will go to hell and burn there forever.
15:49So what you have is an Islamic dilemma, as we call it. The Quran claims to be from the same source that is the God of the Bible. It says that the Bible is authentic and authoritative as it is, but then later on it directly contradicts it. It makes multiple statements that directly contradict the Bible and its fundamental beliefs. So now if the Bible, if the Torah and the Gospel are authoritative, then the Quran itself cannot be true because it makes contradictory statements. If it is not authoritative, then the Quran makes false statements when it says that the Torah and the gospel are authoritative and preserved by God.
16:30In either case, the Quran makes false statements and refutes itself. This is a very, very solid—this is why I recommended that book, The Islamic Dilemma. It's an extremely solid argument that Muslims can never, ever deal with. So for many different reasons like these, specifically because the Quran makes so many false statements and self-contradictory and self-refuting statements, we can undoubtedly come to the conclusion that Islam is a false religion started by some maniac in the seventh century who had no idea what he was talking about. New customer offer for initial plan term only. Greater than 50 gigabytes may slow when network is busy. See terms. So two questions in one. Yes. How long was you a Muslim for? And what was the first crack in your faith? Very good question. so i was uh raised as a muslim and uh lived as a muslim for nearly 20 years it was um much later in life that i started becoming very uh dedicated and devoted to my muslim faith which i always had lots of respect for but you know i was raised in germany later lived in turkey in turkey i was reading the quran for myself in a language that i actually understood The problem is that the vast majority of Muslims have never read the Quran.
18:46And of those who did read it, the vast majority have never read it in a language that they understand. Because the Quran is always taught to be – Muslims are taught to recite the Quran, not to read and learn from it. The reciting is the noble part of it, the singing of it, you know, because it sounds beautiful apparently. You could also sing a phone book and it would also sound beautiful. That doesn't mean anything. But so I actually sat down and read it. And when I did read it, I had a lot of questions. And I asked scholars and others to resolve these questions and nobody could resolve them. For example, I was raised in Germany with quite 20th century or 21st century beliefs or conclusions that we live in this world on this planet that we are aware of.
19:35And the sun is not something that hangs in the sky and just goes from one side to the other side. And the stars are not little objects that hang up in the sky. but I read the Quran and it describes to me a world that is simply a world as a 7th century guy in Arabia would understand it. It describes that Allah created a heaven that is the nearest heaven above us. In that heaven there are these tiny little objects called the stars. Those stars are also used to throw at rebellious devils that go up sometimes to listen to Allah talk to his angels.
20:49And when you see a star moving, that means that it's Allah's angels throwing a star at one of those devils to chase them, which is completely ridiculous. Stars are giant objects that are very distant, and what we actually see up there are just meteors. it says that Allah brings the sun from the east and makes the moon follow it and they chase each other all the time and they can never overtake each other that the night is brought as a veil to cover us up at night that Allah holds the sky up without any visible pillar and that there is no crack in it because Allah built it perfectly which is of course nonsense The sky is not an object that needs to be held up without a crack.
21:39And most importantly, the funniest bit is in chapter 18, it describes a very, very interesting story. So somebody in Muhammad's time came and asked him about a figure named Dhul-Karnayn, which means the two-horned one. They said, tell us about Dhul-Karnayn. Muhammad said, all right, give me some time. I'll come back and tell you more about it. then apparently Muhammad received revelations from Allah and came back to tell him about this figure called the two-horned one so he told them the story and the story is directly found in chapter 18 in the Quran in the story it says and they ask you about the Dhul Qarnayn tell them that he was one of the servants of Allah he was very powerful he was shown all the sides in the world he was given so much power he was guided by Allah he went where the sun sets and he found the sun setting in a muddy spring is what it says That's literally what it says.
22:33He went and he found the sun setting in a muddy spring. Then he went to the place where the sun rises, and he found that it was rising over people who didn't have any protection against the sun. So he built them shelter to protect them from the sun because they were very close to the sun. All of this is completely nonsensical in the world that we know. It's an ignorant idea of the world. And then he goes and finds a people called Gog and Magog, and he builds, because they ask him for help, no, he founds a people and they ask him for help against a people called Gog and Magog. So he builds a wall, a giant wall, to protect these people against Gog and Magog.
23:12Now the funny thing is, this whole story seems like a random story when you read the Quran. When you, however, go into literature, into literature that precedes the Quran, you will find that this is actually a story, a mythical, a folk story about Alexander the Great that was found in, you know, among people, spoken and also written down. It is called the Alexander Romances or, you know, the, there are different names to it, the Greek or Syriac Alexander Romances, where people established these little tales about Alexander the Great because they wanted to depict him as this wonderful figure, this wonderful hero.
23:55When you look at those stories, he's described as the one with two horns. He's described as one who goes to the very far west, western end of the world, to the very far eastern end of the world. And he goes and finds people who need his help to protect themselves against these savagely people, also known as Gog and Magog. So he helps him and builds a wall for them. You find an identical story to what you find in the Quran about this figure named Dhul-Karnain. You find it already in these folk stories, these folk myths about Alexander the Great. These are not real stories of Alexander the Great.
24:33These are stories that people just came up with in order to depict him as something fantastic. The Quran, whoever its author is, probably Muhammad, heard this story from other people and he inserted this into the Quran as if it was a revelation from Allah about an actual figure named Dhul-Karnayn, the two-horned one, who was guided by Allah. This is a fantasy story, a fan fiction story about Alexander the Great. It has no business being in the Quran as a true story about some guy who is guided by Allah, by God. And we also know that Alexander the Great was by no means a devout, monotheistic person.
25:14He was a polytheistic pagan guy who declared himself to be God. So the Quran clearly takes random stories from people through hearsay. Muhammad himself takes stories. And then we are also told at the end to believe that this book is actually authored by the all-knowing, almighty Allah, God himself. And every single word of it is completely true. It is not from Allah. It is a book that is made up of stories that people told, made up of a very ignorant understanding of what the universe looks like. And it literally does say that the sun actually at night goes and sets into a muddy spring and then comes out again at some point once it gets permission from Allah to rise again.
26:04Many Muslims want to brush this off as just some metaphorical thing. But no, the earliest Muslims actually did teach that the sun literally at the end of the day goes and sinks into a murky or muddy or hot spring and then goes somewhere and prays and worships to Allah and asks to rise again. And Allah says, all right, you can go and rise. And so then it comes and rises. This is literally the word that the Quran, the world that the Quran describes. And I already knew too much about what the world looks like to believe in that nonsense. I bet there's a lot of Muslims out there. Because a lot of Muslims watch my channel now because I've had converts that call themselves reverts on.
26:47And I've had an imam on and I've challenged him on many things, predominantly the morality of the religion. So I bet there's a lot of people watching thinking, I wouldn't fancy debating Ridvan on the subject. Now, one of my concerns is because there is so many Muslims in the UK and the population of them is just growing and growing and growing at a rate of knots. And the fact that emulating the Prophet Muhammad is kind of the objective because they perceive him to be the perfect person. Now, the obvious is he's married a six-year-old and then raped her at nine. That's not consummation. That's rape.
27:31He's in his 50s. Let's not beat around the bush. But other than that, which most people know about, is there a list of things that you could give me about the Prophet Muhammad that are other examples of him not being a perfect person? Well, aside from the fact that he was, of course, a pedophile rapist, we can also find different things. So he was a pedophile. He was a rapist. We know this already. It's very well established. Aside from that, he also raped, you know, the sex slaves and other women on occasion. But that's also included in being a rapist. He also at some point expressed his opinion in marrying a little toddler girl, which is, of course, also goes into the pedophilia.

28:14but I just want to explain the pedophilia aspect a little bit further. Aside from that, he did not bother persecuting and killing anyone who criticizes him. Multiple people who criticized him or who mocked him were executed by his commands. He asked people directly, will somebody go and relieve me of this person who is writing poetry about me? He had a place of worship destroyed, which is very, very funny, by the way. Muslims do not like talking about this at all. There was another Kaaba in, so the Kaaba is the central building in Islam. There was another Kaaba down in Yemen, south of Mecca, which had a white stone, or it was white.
28:59And some say that the Kaaba that Muslims turn around was actually copied from that one. And Muhammad at some point, it was called Dhul Khalasa, Muhammad at some point commanded his armies or his people to go down there and to destroy it and to kill everyone who is around it. So random people who were around it or who protected the place, who were simply worshipping there, were killed. So he had no trouble destroying temples and killing the people around them. He commanded the destruction and killing of many other places throughout Arabia and their people. He, as said, commanded the killing of apostates.
29:39He, one funny story is he had a, his adoptive son had a wife who was also Muhammad's cousin. One day Muhammad walked into their home and he was not there. It was only her at home. And I guess he saw her in kind of like a, she looked very flattering and he really liked her. This is really, this is actually found in the Quran. So his heart was taken by her because she looked so sexy at home. So he went back and this is, imagine, it's the wife of his adoptive son, of basically his son. So he saw the wife of his adoptive son and he thought, oh, she looks really, really old. He went back and this bothered him.
30:29And after a while, things became really, really awkward. and he actually caused his adoptive son to divorce his wife and Muhammad himself went and took her as wife. The Quran justifies this. The Quran says in the voice of Allah that, you know, we know what is in your heart and, you know, that is basically okay to lust after your adoptive son's wife. So Mohammed's adoptive son divorces his own wife and basically gives her to Mohammed. And Mohammed is completely fine with that. He has a thing for women. He does that a lot. He walks outside one day. He sees a woman walk by. He can't control himself.
31:16He runs home to one of his wives who is tanning leather and has sex with her and then goes outside and says to his people, the woman comes and goes in the shape of a devil. So whoever sees a woman should go to his wife and release the pressure and go on, basically. That is the very, very great prophet who apparently has no self-control.
31:38He saw a little child at some point and thought the child was the Antichrist, or the Antichrist in the Islamic sense, the Dajjal, who would come at the end times. So he actually threatened to have that child killed. That child's name was Ibn Sayyad. There were so many different issues. There was another issue which is currently very popular, which my friend David Wood and others like to talk about, where we have some weird, ambiguous story where Muhammad goes out in the middle of the night into a desert and goes with one of his companions and draws a circle and tells his friend to stay there in that circle.
32:12And then he goes out and has some strange interactions that are very vaguely described with 30 different men in the middle of the night who, according to this narrative, rode him all night long. So it is unclear whether these people were jinns or just nomadic people who had some weird sexual interactions with him at night. We don't really know. What about the violent streak of him? Did he line up 100 Jews? He did, he did. And he checked to see if they had pubic hair, and if they did, they were worthy of execution. Yes. Is this true or is this a myth? It is true. That was the Banu Quraitha, which were a Jewish tribe in Medina.
32:51And Medina was a city that was basically turned into a flourishing city by the Jews there. He arrived in Medina and gained control, gained a lot of support among the Arabs there. He preached first to the Jews, telling them, hey, you know, we believe in the very same thing. I am a prophet of the very same God that you guys worship. The Jews didn't buy it, of course, which made him very angry. At some point, he was fighting a war against the pagans who wanted to attack the city. At the end of this war, this battle, he accused the Jews of the city, specifically a certain tribe of over 900 people, of having somehow helped or collaborated with those pagan invaders.
33:37There is no evidence that they ever did anything. But he was apparently inspired by an angel, by the angel Gabriel, that they somehow conspired with his enemies. So what he did was to drag them all out of their homes, this Jewish tribe, the Banu Kariytha. He lined them all up and one of his men went around and executed all of the men and executed any little one, any boy who had pubic hair. All the others, all the survivors, those with no pubic hair and the women were all taken as captives and used as slaves. They did that. It didn't stop at that. He also got rid after a while of all the other Jewish tribes.
34:18And then later on, although he was early on friendly toward the Christians, he also started fighting the Christians. And he commanded that all Christians and all Jews should be fought and subjugated no matter where they are. They should never be treated equally. They should be fought until they pay protection money like the mafia or until they are killed or enslaved. This is what Muhammad was. He was a violent warlord, rapist, pedophile. And it is very, very troubling that Muslims everywhere take him as the perfect example to follow. This episode is brought to you by ChatGPT. Hey, it's Bill Simmons from the Bill Simmons Podcast.

So obviously, you didn't perceive him as a perfect person at all, which I'd imagine led to you leaving Islam. I'm sure that played a hell of a part. Yeah. So how did you leave Islam? and off the back of that, did you or do you still fear execution? Well, there is always a risk. What happened is that, so I allowed myself to ask these questions.
36:18The thing is, you know, I also said in my tweet that Islam promotes stupidity. Islam teaches you and I also learned as a child never to question, never to ask questions, to always suppress my questions. The Quran itself says that Muslims, whenever they hear the word of Allah or of the Prophet, they simply say, I hear and I obey. That's what Muslims are taught to do. Muhammad says that the devil comes and gives you questions about who created this and who created that, and if he does so, always seek refuge with Allah. So you are supposed to always suppress your questions, which I also did for a long time until I couldn't do it anymore.
36:54I thought to myself, if Allah created me and my brain, I'm sure he will not blame me if I ask questions and if I come to certain conclusions. So I allowed myself to question it and came to the conclusion that it's simply false and I don't believe in it anymore. I left and at the time I thought I'm the only person who left Islam because it's like I didn't know anybody. Nobody speaks about it. Then I went online and by now I see how common it has become for people to declare that they have left Islam. But for every single one of us, it's always a struggle. If you publicly talk about Islam, if you publicly say that you have left Islam, that it's a false religion, you deserve to be executed by Islamic morality, by Islamic standards.
37:32So we receive death threats all the time. I didn't have that many problems with my own family and others, although they kind of cut contact with me. But I received one threat from a person that I knew very well who said, I will cut off your head and threw it on the square or something. I've known others who had to flee their families who were chased by their fathers, by their family members and almost killed. I get death threats all the time online of people saying, shut up or we will kill you or we will do this and this and that to you. The trouble and the danger is always there. But I do believe that I'm doing the right thing here.
38:10I think that Islam is an evil religion, that Islam is an evil political system, and that we have the right to speak out against it. So I shouldn't be hiding. They should be hiding because they are promoting something that is evil and we are speaking out against it. And gladly in America, where I live, I have the protection of the authorities, of the FBI, which tells me, don't let anybody intimidate you. You can say whatever you want. Keep doing what you do. I know that here in Europe and in the UK, it's much more difficult because the government and the authorities in charge, they give in to Muslim feelings, but they should not.
38:52because we are not the ones who are, you know, who are threatening or hurting anybody. They are. And, you know, we are fighting for our freedoms, as we all should. So with everything you've said so far, I've not seen or heard one element of peace. There's nothing peaceful about anything you've said, and you've been quite clear and graphic in your description of Islam. So where does that term, religion of peace, come from? And how have they got the gall to even refer to it as peaceful? It's actually very funny. So there were attempts to describe Islam as a religion of peace or as peaceful only in the last century, in the 20th century, when the organization of Islamic countries came up with this idea of presenting Islam as maybe something rather peaceful.
39:53But it wasn't actually until one very, very unfortunate guy came out, and that was George W. Bush. after 9-11, he came out and in order to calm people down, he said the phrase that, he said that this has nothing to do with Islam and that Islam is a religion of peace. He said these words, you know. So that's where it comes from. George Bush. So he wasn't the first person who said it, but he was the person who basically amplified it and popularized it. Because he wanted to deal with a population that after 9-11 was very, very angry. So he wanted to calm people down. He said it has nothing to do with Islam.
40:35Islam is a religion of peace. And it picked up very, very well after that time. And people more and more started propagating this idea that Islam is actually a religion of peace. So many people, so many organizations after 9-11 made the effort to say, oh, no, you know, don't misunderstand it. Don't go after Muslims. It has nothing to do with Islam. Islam is a religion of peace. So many people bought into it. So many people started propagating it. It's insane. I have people who actually preach that Islam should rule the world, that Islam should subjugate entire cultures and religions, and that people like me should be executed.
41:14The very same people will also say Islam is a religion of peace. It is a very incredibly stupid point of propaganda. And there is nothing peaceful about Islam. Islam doesn't mean peace. Islam literally means submission. The word itself means submission. And Islam only promotes the idea of peace if all people are subjugated under the rule of Islam. The Quran says that you should not stop until Islam is superior and there is no more corruption or no more, you know, no more corruption, no more other religions basically. So Islam should be superior to all. Only then is there peace when all are subjugated by Islam.
41:57That is not peace. Yeah, and I'm sure people like Nick Berg, Charlie Hebdo, HQ, Salman Rushdie will all concur with your every word there. Now, considering the dangers of leaving Islam, you're very critical of Islam. Yeah. Why is that? because you're rich you you're you are risking your life every time you say things like this yeah i where's that passion come from i'm bored i'm just killing time no i genuinely think that i'm doing uh that i'm doing something that needs to be done do you feel like you're doing god's work uh i would be very careful saying that but Allah's work. Yes, yes, yes. I mean, to be fair, the Quran says that it is Allah himself who decides whether somebody believes or does not believe, and it is Allah himself who leads people to Islam or who leads people astray.
43:02And the Quran also, by the way, mentions my name, Ridwan, itself. It explicitly mentions me and says that all should follow Ridwan. So it does tell people to follow me, and it also says that it is Allah himself who decides everything. So therefore, it is obviously Allah who makes me speak against Islam, which is what Muslims should accept. And they should therefore not threaten me. They should handle this whole situation with Allah himself. I knew he'd be to blame. Yeah, yeah. But in all honesty and seriousness, I've always been kind of, I've always had the tendency to just point out when I think that something is wrong and speak out and all that.
43:39And I don't think it's because I'm a hero or anything. is just because I can't tolerate bullshit very much. And if I think that something is horribly bad and oppressive and full of lies, I just like to speak out against it. And when you tell me, especially when you tell me that I cannot do that, when you tell me that I cannot say that, when you tell me that I should shut up and when you threaten me, when you say I will kill you if you don't shut up, that enrages me and makes and motivates me even more to speak about it because i think oh oh really you want to suppress me no i'll say even more about it so i do think i'm doing the right thing i do think people who speak about islam are doing the right thing uh our late friend charlie kirk whom i met only two months before he was killed he said to me that uh one of the most important things to do right now in the West is to speak about and stop the spread of Islam.
44:38He wanted everybody to speak about it as well. He said this is one of the most important things to his heart because he realized how difficult and how important the problem is, how if we don't stop it, it will suffocate us. I think Europe has already suffered enough from the invasions and the justification and the spread of Islam and the idea that we may not say anything about it, not anything against it because there will be bigotry and racism and all that. I think everybody should be talking about Islam. I think we should all be talking about Islam. We should be opposing it and we should inform everybody about it and should make sure that it does not spread and we should make sure that we do not tolerate the lies on behalf of Islam and its justification.
45:25So to your normal person, they haven't really got the time to start investigating different religions and Islam because it's packaged as peaceful. Why do the West need to fear Islam? If you saw my family, my parents out in the street in Germany, for example, where I grew up, you would think, oh, such nice people, such nice, such friendly people. You know what they were teaching me at home when I was five or six years old or seven years old? They were teaching me that the Christians that I interact with when I go outside and when I go to school, that I should not trust any of them, that I should not befriend them, that they are eventually essentially all disbelievers, that they are evil, that they are filthy, and that Allah will deal with them in the end.
46:14that the time will probably come when we will fight or we will take up arms and we will fight the disbelievers we will fight the christians and we will especially fight the jews and kill them all this is a prophecy by muhammad by the way that the muslims will eventually fight and kill all the jews um so i i was at one i was at the same time um raised by a family that smiles and appears very nice outside and i was also like that but at the same time i was also told i was also taught that all these people that we smile at are our enemies. This is directly in line with Islam. When you see many devout Muslims out there, organizations, influential people, and when they tell you, oh, Islam is just a religion like any other, they are not telling you the whole truth.
47:01It is also a religion that believes in its own supremacy, in the subjugation of others, in the absolute ban of criticizing it, in the punishing of those who disrespect It teaches that Islam itself should establish itself as the authority over law, over everything there is. The majority of Muslims around the world, according to Pew Research, believe that Islamic law, Islamic Sharia, should be implemented as the law wherever they are. If you have more and more Muslims in the UK and in Europe, you will also eventually have more and more people advocating for implementing Islamic laws. So you already have it in the UK.
47:43I think according to the most recent poll, like 40 % or so of Muslims living here say that they want some element of Islamic law. So if you want a future, a country where – and according to Pew Research, this country, if it goes this way already, will be turned into a Muslim country or into a country with a very large Muslim population very, very soon, within a few decades, at least within the century. So if you want a future where there is no longer the equality that you like so much, where there is no longer freedom, where you are oppressed by this population that thinks all should submit to their religion, if you are okay with that, then by all means, just go about living your life and don't worry about it.
48:29if you don't want that future if you think it is bad to have such a future where this religion that is so hostile against others that is so happy to be violent that is so happy to oppress you if you do not want that then please inform yourself i would say to everybody or you know listen to me other people like david wood my good friend and many others who speak about this inform yourself and spread some awareness and tell everyone else who doesn't know that we should stop being so polite to Islam, that we should start being a little bit more direct when we say we actually do not want this anymore.
49:07We actually don't like this anymore. We should keep up our guards and do something about all of this. Maybe summarize Takiyah very briefly before you then lean into answering this question. How common is Takiyah? Because I've interviewed an imam and he point blank denied the, he said that most Muslims don't even know what taqiyah is. It's more of a word that non-Muslims use, which I thought was taqiyah in itself. So when it comes to taqiyah, he is not entirely, he is not entirely wrong. Most Muslims, if you ask them, are you practicing taqiyya or are you doing taqiyya, most Muslims will say, I don't know what you mean, I don't know what you're talking about.
49:59Many of them will say that, you know, I don't actually know what taqiyya is and I'm definitely not doing taqiyya. It's because taqiyya is often referred to, often refers to a very specific form of defense in Islam that primarily became a thing in Shia Islam, where Shia Muslims, when they were persecuted by the Sunni Muslims, when they were asked, are you Sunni or Shia, they were allowed to say, I'm Sunni, although they are Shia, in order to defend themselves, in order to protect themselves from being persecuted by the Sunni Muslims. So it was like a license given to them to lie in order to protect their own lives and their own well-being and all that.
50:39Within Shia Islam, it is very, very permissible and quite common to simply to lie in order to conceal your actual identity and even your intentions. Within Sunni Islam it is to an extent too. It is just not very well and very widely among the common people known as Takiyah. But Muslims are also allowed to simply conceal the truth or lie in order to protect themselves or protect the reputation of their religion to further their religious goals and so on. It is just not really given a name, not really systematized that way. The thing is that so many of them will not recognize the term or will not admit that they are practicing it.
51:25However, the term itself captures a certain aspect within Islam that is very problematic. As Christians, for example, we are always told to speak the truth, to tell the truth, to always be truthful. Islam doesn't really emphasize truthfulness quite that well. And in order to further Islamic goals and in order to defend Islam from public criticism, you are allowed, you are very, very well allowed to simply to lie by omission or to conceal parts of it, to conceal the truth, to present things differently or sometimes even to outright lie in order to reach your goals. So that's the nuance there. If you directly say to them, are you practicing taqiyah?
52:11They'll probably say, no, I don't even know what that is. But if you dig further, you will find that it is quite okay for them to lie about Islam. This episode is brought to you by ChatGPT. New customer offer for initial plan term only greater than 50 gigabytes may slow when network is busy. See terms. So what's the difference between a sunny Muslim and a Shia Muslim?
53:24Because a lot of people won't know that. It's a complex story, but it boils down to simply one thing, which is when Muhammad died, he didn't leave a successor behind. The problem with Muhammad is that he wasn't just a prophet. He was also the head of state and that he was a warlord. So the state that he established was left without leadership after he died. So they had to appoint, the Muslims had to appoint somebody as the new leader. There was one faction of them who wanted his cousin and son-in-law Ali to be appointed as the next leader. There were others who said, no, it should actually be this guy named Abu Bakr, who was also the father of Muhammad's child bride, that he should be the new leader because he is very wise.
54:08So this whole dispute about who should be the next leader, who should succeed Muhammad, caused a dispute among two sides. It went further on into generations, which is very, very funny. The successors of Muhammad who took over after him, they all either suspiciously died or were killed by other Muslims. So the infighting started immediately. Those who sided with Ali later on came to be known as the Shia Muslims, and those who sided with the regular appointed successor, Abu Bakr, became known as the Sunni Muslims, which just follow Muhammad's traditions and all that properly. Because those who sided with Ali were not quite as popular, they became the smaller sect, the Shia, who had their own traditions.
54:54But essentially they are the same. It is very, very much just a matter of political succession and all that. That's all it is. That's it. And without me being specific in my question, what other things should people know about Islam that's important? I would say people should know one thing, which is that some Muslims often go around claiming that Islam is, that Muslims believe in the same God that Christians and Jews believe in, for example. They will say in order to appeal to Christians that Muslims also believe in Jesus, that Muslims also love Jesus. I would say that everybody should be aware that Islam is actually a 7th century religion formed in Arabia by somebody who went by his own whims and had no idea about the Bible and what Christians worship.
55:44He simply adopted certain Christian and Jewish beliefs in order to further and create his own religion and subjugate populations. It is the religion itself worships a god that Muhammad himself, basically based on what his pre-Islamic polytheist pagans in his environment, what they worshipped, he blended this god with certain Christian and Jewish aspects and created his own new religion. This religion mostly is all about what Muhammad himself wants, what he desires. His young child bride himself said that Allah seems very, very quick to attend to your desires. That's what his child bride actually said.
56:25The religion itself was established through violent warfare. It spread mostly to all the places that it spread to within the first and second centuries. It spread by force through warfare. A very, very good book I recommend is In God's Path by Robert G. Hoyland. and he wrote extensively about the early spread of Islam, you can see that Islam spread by force violently wherever it went. And most Muslims who are Muslims today are simply Muslims because their ancestors were at some point violently converted, and then they were suppressed, and they were told to simply accept whatever they believe in and not to question it.
57:07And I think that if people want to tackle Islam, they should inform themselves on the Quran and the Hadith and the basics of it and then begin discussing with Muslims directly. And they will very quickly realize that Muslims have a very shallow belief system that can crack very easily if you argue with them. So it is a violent religion. It is a religion that's spread through violence. It is a religion that doesn't have a problem with violence. It is a religion that has no problems with getting violent with those who oppose it and who disrespect it. Everybody should know this. But people should also know that it's a very intellectually and fundamentally weak religion that can be tackled if you know a little bit.
57:46That's good you say the word tackle because I want to know how Britain are going to tackle Islam. And also Islam, Islamist, Islamism, are they all the same or are they different? But the million dollar question is how is Britain going to tackle Islam? I had this disagreement or discussion with Bob from Speaker's Corner, who is a very good friend the other day, and we had some disagreements. But my suggestion would be at this point, because Britain made so many mistakes in opening its gates so widely and letting anybody in. You have entire parts of London, you have entire cities across the UK taken over and basically ruled now by Islamists.
58:35I would say at this point it is too late. And you can't approach this issue nicely and slowly and try to change people's minds and all that. What I think Britain needs to be doing is to mass deport people. I think – and it's also disheartening to me that some political parties and political figures talk about just deporting illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants are not what caused this. You have too many parts in the UK taken over by Islamists who further advocate for Islamist stuff, who fight for Islam everywhere, who want more Islamic laws pushed, who want to make it illegal at some point to say anything about Islam.
59:12I think the UK urgently needs to start cracking down on mosques that preach things that are contrary to the fundamental values and rights that people in the UK have. Any mosque which says or promotes things such as Islam is superior and may Allah give us victory over the Christians and the Jews, which is a very common thing to say in mosques. Any mosque that says something like that should be shut down and everyone responsible should be deported. Any Muslim who is asked and who has opinions in such a way should be deported. Anyone who engages in violent or terrorist activities or anything like that should be deported.
59:53I think the future, the parties that are promising to fix the problems that arose in this country over the last decades should make it a priority to crack down and to deport as many of these people as possible. and then we should start being honest about what Islam actually is and we should start talking honestly to Muslims and to everybody else. It is okay to tolerate people who believe in Islam. It is okay to say, you know, it's all right, you have the right to believe and to worship it but the rest of the country, the governments, the media and everybody else should be more honest about what Islam actually is.
1:00:38Everyone should be allowed to say and everyone should actually know that Islam is a violent, intolerant, hateful religion. It shouldn't be disallowed or discouraged to say these things. We should be aware that this is what Islam is. We should maybe ban certain things that Islam wants to have a privilege on. We should primarily, the first step I would say, is to start being honest about Islam, allow people to be honest about Islam, allow people to criticize Islam, for parties like Reform and others to openly admit what Islam is instead of pandering to Muslims because of numbers. And a priority should be for everyone to start deporting as many people as possible who are enemies of this country and to openly brag about their own religion's superiority over everybody else.
1:01:31And as an apostate... Does it sound easy to do? Do you think we can do this? Are you ready? Well, I think it does. I think it's a very simple solution. Let's go ahead. But it takes a bit of courage. It takes some balls. It takes someone brave enough to say enough. It takes someone that's not a career politician. It takes a politician that's genuinely for the people. And this is what Britain's lacking. I don't believe any politicians for the people. I think they're all for themselves, self-gain. So I really, really lack trust. And there's such a gulf between Westminster and the likes of you and me.
1:02:06It's like, who's really representing us? And they don't have to worry about Islam because they're not living in Tower Hamlets or Luton or Leeds Bradford. They're living in gated communities and they're, you know, I'm okay, I'm all right, Jack attitude. So I don't think they really care. They will do when it starts affecting them and Islamists start climbing their gated communities, orchestrating an attack, breaking into their house and executing them for the biggest terror attack that the West has ever seen, which I wouldn't be surprised if that's being planned as we speak. I mean, it's one after the other after the other.
1:02:44They have to keep trumping it. So maybe that's when they'll listen. Maybe when a relative of theirs is gang raped by Pakistani Muslims or one of their friends who's a soldier gets their head chopped off, maybe they'll then act upon it. But until they're not affected, I think the rest of us are up shit creek without a paddle. Maybe it should be a requirement for any politician to spend some time in some heavy Muslim neighbourhood when they go into politics. Yeah, I totally agree. I mean, we've seen that there are no-go areas, you know, groups of Muslims attacking someone that's preaching the gospel.
1:03:18It's like, well, this is Christian land. He should be able to do that. And there was a recent incident where there was a WPC actually said, this is not your home. He's not harming anybody. If you don't like it, you need to disappear. But what advice would you give as an apostate that bravely left Islam? And you have got to be brave to leave Islam because of the consequences. But people that are starting to doubt their faith like you did, but obviously they've got family pressures, religious pressures, imam pressures. What advice would you give them, young or old people, that are starting to doubt their faith and they're edging towards leaving but they can't quite do it?
1:03:57So for me it was not as difficult as it is for many others. I've never really had great difficulty burning bridges and cutting ties and going my own way and all that. I know that for many other people, even when they understand and when they know that this religion is false and bad and all that, they prefer to be quiet about it and to just live a lie. Because the problem with Islam is it's not like Christianity. It's not like if you stop believing, some people are just sad about it and they say it's between you and God and you have turned your back on him and all that. It's more than that. Islam is regarded as a nation.
1:04:40When you leave Islam, you are seen as having turned your back on and betrayed your entire nation, your world, your relatives, your family. It's like a political move and people will cut ties with you if they can't do more. So naturally, lots of people who do leave Islam in their minds don't want to actually leave Islam publicly because they are afraid of losing everything and all that. I would say I would encourage people to do it anyway, to take the risks, to leave Islam. I would encourage them to be open about it and to go a new path. And I would say that it will work out. You will find your way.
1:05:25You don't have to lie to yourself. You don't have to live a lie. To those who doubt it, to those who have questions about Islam, I would say keep asking those questions. Think about the fact that the Quran teaches that Allah is the one who created everything, including your mind, your brain. He gave you the ability and the right to question things. So ask those questions. Let those questions lead you to your conclusions. Don't believe lies. Don't fall for lies. I would say look into what Islam and the Quran claims about the Bible, about Jesus, and what the Bible actually is, and what Jesus actually taught in his life, which is completely contrary to whatever Islam tells you.
1:06:06Read the book in a language that you understand. Please read the damn book. It's a very stupid book and it's very difficult to read, but please read the book. It's one of the dumbest books in existence and it is very difficult to read it, which is why Muslims don't read it, but I encourage everybody, Muslims and non-Muslims, if you want to understand something about Islam, to read that stupid book called the Quran and you will come to the conclusion that it's complete nonsense. Have you made many enemies since you've been speaking out like this? No, everybody loves me. Who are the people that may have a slight problem with your outward speaking?
1:06:43No, it's of course I have many enemies. And have they let you know that you're their enemy? Yes. And what have they done to show you that? It depends which enemies we're talking about. You know, we've talked about those who want to kill me extensively or who those about those who say they want to kill me. Most often they actually don't want to do it. They just say they want to do it because they're cowards. I've had Muslim apologists, Muslim debaters and all of them insult and attack me in the worst ways. They initially want a debate, but then they don't actually want to do the debate because they realize how how weak their position is, which is why you would have a very, very difficult time arranging a debate between me and a Muslim, because they're sitting on something intellectually so weak that they always feel very afraid to defend it, which is why they will run away from defending it and start attacking us and accusing us of lying instead.
1:07:40So enemies, there are lots of them, but I don't really want enemies. I want everyone to see how dumb this religion is. I want everyone to see how this religion actually turns them into worse people than they are. but it also makes people hostile toward me. So, and the best solution for that would be to intellectually destroy and leave this religion behind as humanity, as a world forever, and the world would be a better place. Earlier on you mentioned Mohammed Hijab. Yeah. Have you debated him? It's a very long and funny story, but I can just make it very brief. Because he's a powerhouse within the religion and he's a big, big spokesperson.
1:08:24Yeah, he is. He is. He's mostly a loud mouth. That's what he is, but not much behind it. Very, very stupid with very complex words and sophistry and all that. Tell me this funny story. Let's end this interview on a funny story. You and Mohammed Hijab. Perfect. So, yeah. So what happened is that a while ago, several years ago, people repeatedly asked him to debate me in order to refute my objections to Islam. So what he did was eventually he challenged me to a debate. I initially said, I don't really want to. And then I thought, you know what? Okay, let's debate. Let's do a debate. Then he ignored my response to his debate challenge.
1:09:09So I had to pressure him to finally respond to it and say, hey, come on, let's debate. You challenged me. Then he started asking people online if he should debate me or not. And said, if 60 % of my followers say yes, then I will debate. So 67 % or so said yes. So he said, okay, well, okay, then we will have a debate. I specifically said beforehand that this is going to be an online debate. There will be certain conditions. So he agreed to it. Then he once again asked his audience if he should be having an online debate with me. They said yes. After we made our agreements, he said that we should also include a specific clause to our agreement, that he should have the right to personally attack and insult me during the debate, which I thought that's pretty weird, but fine, let's do it.
1:09:55So...
1:09:59It insults aloud. Let's go. I said, all right, that's fine with me. Let's do it. Sounds like an intellectual debate. Very intellectual. Then once we made our agreement and said, okay, we have agreed. Let's go. Then he's like, okay, give me your address. I'll come there and debate you. It's like, what? This is an online debate, man. We were supposed to have an online debate. We said from the beginning, it's an online debate. It's a remote online debate. He's like, no, give me your address and I will come there and debate you in person. I said, no.
1:10:31And as soon as I said that, I posted about it publicly. I said, look at this. He agreed with me to an online debate. Now he wants to have my address and come to me and do a whole thing. He clearly doesn't want the debate. Then he went crazy and started going on weird rants on Twitter, attacking me personally, attacking my family, family members, then attacking anyone who comes to my defense, other ex-Muslims and such, looking at photos of their wives and posting them and making insinuations such as that they actually want to be humiliated and raped and taken as sex slaves by strong Muslims like him.
1:11:10He made a post that he actually thinks that deep down all these anti-Muslim women dream of being taken captives by Muslims like him and used for sexual purposes as it used to be in the past. He said that he was specifically referring to my family and has said that we are intellectual attention whores who would, if confronted by men like him, get on our knees and reluctantly open our mouths to find that we have been defiled. He was making this whole insinuation of actually that he would love to put us on the ground and rape us and all that in our mouths. But just packing that into very nice words.
1:11:54I didn't realize he was this romantic. It's very romantic. He can surprise you. He's a very, very charming guy. Did you decline the blowjob? I did decline it. I did decline it, yes. I said, I'm not interested. I am not interested. I'm not at the moment. It's a generous offer. Yeah. But I'm out. I don't want it right now. Not right now. Did you have chapped lips or something? Yeah.
1:12:22Then he… This clip is professional, sorry. Yes. Yeah. Excuse me. Then we had a live stream. We had a live stream, a live broadcast, David Wood, my friend and I. And he came on his live stream. He came into the live chat and started talking about how him and I should get on our knees and should do sexual acts to each other and that we should slap each other and stuff like that. And that we should have sex with each other and give blowjobs to each other and all that. He started going really, really wild. There's a theme here. Yeah, yeah. And all of this was just because I accepted his debate offer.
1:12:59That's what started it all out. It was very strange. You declined giving him your home address. Yeah. Yeah. Next thing he wants you to suck his dick. Yeah. Wow. I've never heard that one before. This episode is brought to you by ChatGPT. Hey, it's Bill Simmons from the Bill Simmons Podcast. Have you guys heard about ChatGPT work? 1:14:16And everyone affiliated with me should also do that to him. Some guy. And then he also made posts and said that I probably have sex with my sister and my mother and all that. And then later on made a video about it in his car the next day in which he was just wearing a little undershirt and was talking about how people shouldn't be disgusted by it. Or he also told me that I should jump off a building and commit suicide. He would recommend for me to commit suicide. So later he made a video in his car about how all of this is actually justified because he was just testing my moral standards because I was an atheist at the time.
1:14:53And according to my atheist perspective, I shouldn't have a problem with suggestions of incest and you know gay sex and suicide and all that that all of this should be morally neutral and he was just trying to test my consistency when he offered for me to perform sexual acts on him and such and then he later on deleted all of that and then later on made another follow-up tweet and said that in the last few days he made some wild posts because he was on some pain medication which was making him feel straight as an atheist I can confirm that I wouldn't be jumping off buildings isn't my thing really homosexuality isn't my thing I thought it was the only one no incest isn't my thing although my dad did try his best but yeah just for the record atheists don't subscribe to that madness good I'm glad to hear that because I was an atheist at that point and I thought I thought I don't want to commit suicide but I was wondering if I'm the only one so Oh, no, no, no.
1:15:52We enjoy life too much. We don't want it to end anytime soon. And how is your, because you're now a Christian. Yes. How is life for you now? Wonderful. Happiest you've ever been? Wonderful. Very happy. I was an atheist. So here's the thing, you know, when I speak of my face, my time as an atheist, I speak primarily about myself. I know that there are lots of atheists and I have to be very careful what I say now because I'm sitting across an atheist. Oh, I don't mind. Far away, I've got thick skin and no hair. I know, but when we turn off the camera, I don't know what's going to happen. I have to be very careful.
1:16:30I'm not going to offer you a blowjob. Or demand one. Good, good. Okay, then I'll say whatever I want. So as an atheist, I think there are many of us who think about life quite a bit, a bit too much maybe. I've always spent my time thinking about why I do things and what I live for and all that. So as an atheist, I often found that having lots of questions about the reason for why we do things, the reason for our existence, the purpose of our being, the purpose for being good and not evil and all that, I found that the questions always resulted in one answer, which is that there is no actually inherent meaning or inherent purpose or there are no actually inherent moral standards.
1:17:27for anything at all that i simply live in this world because i want to live because people are naturally have a tendency to seek well-being and that's what i want to do and we want to live in a functioning society and do good things because that's that's that's it works that way and you know life feels better that way if we were if we live in a functioning society but there were always times when i would um when i would feel a little bit depressed and i thought to myself what really keeps me here what really prevents me from giving up hope and putting it into throwing it all away. Nothing. There's really no reason to continue existing.
1:17:59There's really no reason to go on. Sure, if I die right now, maybe some people around me will feel sad about it and all that, but what does it really matter? In a few generations, nobody will remember this. Nobody will remember them. Their feelings and my feelings will not matter. All of it is just a giant universe without any meaning. All of it will at some point cease existing. None of it will matter. this whole cycle and trajectory of pointlessness and emptiness always made me feel, it made it difficult to go on. And I always thought that it's wild to accept that I live in a pointless, meaningless world, that there is no real point to my existence except that I just popped up and exist in this world.
1:18:42but that I always have this tendency to seek meaning and to find meaning and to look for meaning. I always thought that my mind is the best thing there is, that I should always trust my mind and only go for something if I know for 100 % that it is true. But I couldn't go on like that forever. I did find that there is very good evidence that Christianity is true. which I questioned for a long time. And I also did find that Christianity provides an excellent system to have proper meaning and purpose and hope in life. I've always admired it. I always thought that Jesus is a fantastic character. I just couldn't believe that he's actually God or anything like that.
1:19:30I came around to be convinced that there is good evidence that Christianity is true. And I already did respect Christianity and Jesus so much and also always found that Christianity has a perfect solution to all my problems. In fact, when I was an atheist, I thought I wish Christianity was true so I could dedicate myself to it and believe in it and follow it. When then later on I came to the conclusion that it very likely is true and it is also good and there would be no problem with me believing it even if I somehow concluded that it is not true, I did dedicate myself to it. And since then, life has been just much better.
1:20:09I no longer go through all the anxieties in life on my own. I no longer have to think that I'm alone in tackling and handling everything. I pray and I think and I believe and I feel that I receive an answer to my prayers and to my devotion and my dedication. I always acknowledged one thing that is mentioned in the New Testament, which is that I can do nothing of my own. I've always tried so long to fix certain problems in my life and I never managed to do it, although I always thought that I could achieve it in the end. But I can do nothing of my own. I can put my hope in God and pray to Him and ask for help, rely on Him and continue in life.
1:20:57And it makes me feel easier and better and I have less stress and less anxiety in life. I put my hope in something that is loving, that is beautiful, and that I hope and that I know to be true. And that just makes me feel much better about life. So long story short, I'm very happy. That is, without a doubt, the best answer and description I've ever heard of someone going from a non-believer to a believer. You almost had me converting. It was beautiful. Thank you. I thought it sucked for a moment, but thank you. Oh, no, it was nice. Are we talking about sucking again? Are we going back there? No, no, no.
