In short

Ryan Bridge and Liam discuss “Raise the Colours,” a Birmingham grassroots effort to fly the Union Flag and St George’s Cross as “realism not racism,” which they say restores national pride and unity while provoking hostility from the “liberal left.” They also criticize UK immigration policy, claim Dover is monitored by military drones/no-fly restrictions, and describe councils allegedly removing flags and paying contractors to do so.

Guests

Ryan Bridge (Birmingham, 44; raised on Union Jack traditions; granddad was a Burma war sergeant major; involved in football/casual scene; says he’s been targeted online and at his business) and Liam (co-host/interviewer; appears as a supporter/participant).

Key claims

flags are being branded “Nazi”/“zig-hulling”; leftists harass/“assassinate” personalities and businesses; councils label them far-right extremists; immigration is “illegal economic migration”; Dover drone operations escort boat arrivals.

Notable examples

0:57Every case hits home on Line of Fire, Monday on NBC. What is Raise the Colours? Working class guys that just want to feel a bit of togetherness. What are your thoughts on Gary Neville's comments? Piece of shit. He is a piece of shit. He is a piece of shit. We're not doing anything wrong and Gary Neville can fuck off. They're the racists. I love my country. I love my city. We need to restore national pride. Have you had the racist card pulled on you yet? These lefties, it's bananas. Have you got permission off the council? and who has given you a permit to do this? They've got a no-fly zone at Dover.

1:29Military drones that are up all the time to see the boats coming. They get to 12 miles. The drone pinpoints them and brings them in, escorted. What is going on in this government? There's 35 ,000 coming since January. I wouldn't leave my missus and I wouldn't leave my kids. Don't come and rip down the one little bit of identity that they've got left. Birmingham City Council are looking to pay people to remove articles from Lampo. So we know what they mean. We mean the flags. They can't pick up the fucking rubbish. Are Tower Hamlets Council going to prescribe you as far-right extremists?

Been in the spotlight now for a couple of weeks.

2:39Thanks for having us on. Yeah, no, I'm glad you've come on. I think what you're doing is really, really important with your Raise the Colours movement. Yeah. Grassroots, new movement. Couldn't have come a better time, in my humble opinion. I appreciate that. So before we get into your background and why you're so patriotic and where you're going to go with this. OK. Just talk to me about what is Raise the Colours? So Raise the Colours is it's not a political movement, a racial movement. It's it's a movement of a flag, which is our flag, everyone's flag. It's the Union flag. It's the St George Cross.

3:16And we're promoting the flag and bringing a bit of happiness, a bit of togetherness, warmness, a bit of the old things that are missing out the country that's gone back. And we've sort of started in Birmingham, I'd say, I'd say about a year ago, six months, a year ago. And there was a group of lads in Soliol, a good pal Gorman, Zebedee, and they was banging flags up. They was always promoting, you know, putting the flags up. And we sort of just went from there into other different districts of Birmingham and different areas. And it sort of creeped from there to what it is today. Well, Birmingham is extremely multicultural.

3:57Yeah. And I see you encounter a lot of problems because you've been on the internet everywhere. Everywhere I look, you're there. You don't seem to be getting problems from many of the other cultures other than what would appear to the naked eye as our own. Talk to me some of the problems that you've encountered when raising these flags. Yeah, so for me, we've been obviously going out groups of lads and we're putting the flags up and we're having a sociable night out, putting a flag up and having a great time in Birmingham, which is our city, everybody's city. It's multicultural, multi-religions, and it's just normal.

4:33So as we're raising these flags, we're getting negativity off the left, white, middle-class, liberal-looking, weirdy-hair type people, each their own, but they're screaming, they're crying, they're gutted that we're doing this. And we're doing it as a carnival, happy, queen, silver jubilee type thing as opposed to trying to make any divide. Birmingham's always been a multicultural city. I've only ever known it that way. And we all get on great and everything's great. And these lefties, it's bananas. Well, what's ironic is you've just said your biggest problems that you've faced is the problems with the liberal left with the funny coloured hair.

5:24White middle-aged liberals. Yeah. where the other day you had Gary Neville lambasting white middle-aged working class men. He couldn't be any further from the truth. He couldn't be any more detached if his life depended on it. So when you, now that your boot's on the deck and you've seen firsthand that it's the Liberals that are the problem in the country, because even the Liberals get in the way of the bigger, bigger problems. We've got to get through them before we can address the elephants in the room. What are your thoughts on Gary Neville's comments? Wow. And you can let rip on this podcast.

5:54I thought fucking Gary Neville, I'd fucking smack him in his fucking face if I could see him now. I can't stand the bloke. I never could stand him. I knew he was a snide from day one. You know, I was brought up and I love my country. I love my city. And, you know, that England football team, you knew when he had his head down and he's doing all this and he wasn't singing. The National Anthem. The National Anthem, underlining issues with the guy. and now for him to come out and spout up about, I mean, we've just come down here now and we're in a lovely part of the world here. We've drove through leafy areas.

6:30It was lovely, right? True Britain, true England. It was really, really nice. And there's a building site as we come in and it's got the flag on the building site. And I said to Alan in the car, I said, I bet you some kid who's probably on minimum wage working on a building site snuck that flag into work, got on the bus at seven in the morning and I bet he's gone, I'm going to put that on the side of the scaffolding today. And for Gary Neville to come in like the big I am he is and start ripping down, and I've heard, I don't know if it's true, but I've heard there was other flags on one of his sites and he kept those up, but yet he took the England flag down or the Union flag.

7:08I'm not too sure, but to do that and then to actually spout about it, I don't know what his end game was with it. I don't know what his goal was. But to do that, it's just another kick in the balls for working class guys that just want to feel a bit of togetherness. And like I said to Al, I said, that guy's coming on the building site and stuck a flag on today. And he probably feels a bit nervous to do it. And people do feel nervous in this day and age. We're trying to bring back that it's all right to fly your flag. We're all the same. There's one thing that I don't agree with, which is illegal economic migration is what I call it.

7:47And that's obviously for down the line. But if you're in this country and you toe the line, I'm fine with that. And I think a lot of us are fine with that. And it's quite hard to speak up and speak about this. And, you know, I feel for like all you guys and all you guys, I know you guys where we're from. It's hard. And I've had a real shit few weeks, real bad. And like a lot of my friends, you know, it's not like the token. and my best friends are black guys. I'm from the casual scene, Birmingham City, the Zulus, and we're a great multicultural bunch of guys and we have a real mixture in our community.

8:33Maraderie. Yeah, we have a great time and there's no, that's just that guy and that's just that guy. There's no line in sand. There's nothing like that. You know, my missus is Irish. I drink in Irish pubs. I work with Chinese, I work with Asians up north. And, you know, with what I do in business, my life is a multicultural life. And England, Britain is multicultural. And that's the way it is. And we're taking the flags back off the people that think it's not that way. And they need to get that in their mindset. Yeah, it's the left that are creating unnecessary animosity between people that would never, ever have fallen out in the first place.

9:13But I guarantee you grew up listening to reggae and you'd be 40. Oh, yeah, yeah. So, I mean, when I was 18, I was 16, actually, left school. I was down the blues and down the football, and it was like great. We're in Irish bars every night, and I'm underage drinking, as you all do. And, you know, lads are the lads. And we used to go onto the Soho Road in Hansworth, Birmingham. And my mate, Glenroy, he used to get me in, and we used to go to a pub called the Monty. and it was like you'd walk down someone's house and you'd go in there and it was just like a reggae night in there. And like, I really was the only white guy in there.

9:50It's not like that in Birmingham. You were the token. I was the token, yeah. But, you know, and I was in Jamaica last year and it's just, it doesn't come into my vocabulary whatsoever. And what's happened is these lefties and certain people have put it that if you're raising that flag of this country, you're trying to, why are you doing it now? they're saying and it's nothing to do with what's going on now because I think all the governments have been bad I think I think Keir Star Matt has got a lot to answer for I think Blair if you just can keep going back and none of them have been any good um there's been problems with all of them and it's you know it's politics and it all and that's what politics is about but for me I'm from Birmingham we didn't have the best schools I don't know about you know these lefties bang on about these certain dates in history and did you know the the British done this on this date and that day I'm just a normal kid from Birmingham I love Birmingham City I love I love all my mates I love my country I love my flag and I'm proud of it and I'm proud of what I you know to to be you know my granddad was a soldier he was out in Burma he was a sergeant major so he had that military stance and you know I used to sit on his lap and have the old used to show me his bullets and this is the one that could have got me and there's his cap and his hat and there's the he was in Burma so he had like the Japanese teeth where he, you know, and all that malarkey where he obviously killed somebody.

11:12And, you know, and it was, he didn't really want to talk about the death side of things, but he fought for us to be free. And we are in a free world now. And we are, this is against the likes of the far right Nazis, which people have sold us. And for them to say that to me, it kills me. That is the irony and the stupidity of their argument. Yeah, yeah. We ended Nazi Germany. And the Union Jack is a representation of that. Correct. You're raising it higher. Correct. With pride and people are objecting to it, calling you the Nazi. Calling me the Nazi when people died for that flag and it fucking boils my piss.

11:55I bet it does. It fucking boils my piss because they're thick to see that if it wasn't for those men doing that back then, we'd all be fucked now. Yeah. We'd be fucked. Yeah, but we'd be living under a very, very dangerous regime if we made it out alive at all. If we even made it alive. How do you keep your cool? Not that we're advocating any kind of violence whatsoever on this show. Never have, never will. But as an observation, looking at the way these lefties are becoming so emboldened now and attacking true patriots that love the country and their family and their friends and they want a safer future and better streets, they're going to come unstuck one day.

12:31They're going to come across somebody that is really, really on the edge. And I would just say as a cautionary or just as a polite warning to these lefties, slow down a little bit. Take a breath. Do a little bit more research. Don't think you're superior. Have a look inward before you start going out attacking people that are doing what they think is a good thing for a good cause. So I also know how leftists behave. They come for your person. They assassinate your personality at the start. They try and intimidate you. If that doesn't work, they'll make up lies about you. Then they start attacking your business.

13:07How much of this have you experienced yet? I've had every single one, to be honest. Have they come for your business? Yeah, they've come for my business. They've found out where my accountant's office is called my accountants. They've been to the office throughout the night. Obviously, the ring camera's going mental. I've got all cameras everywhere. The car's been going past at night. They've come on push bikes. Um, and it's just been like, what the hell am I, what have I opened up a can of worms here? And that's why I just, you know, for, for other guys that love their country and that are out there promoting, I just think, how the hell have they got on for all these years?

13:43Because I've, I've had, I've had like four weeks of hell. Um, I've had some, a lot of positive, but they've, they've like, they're putting my business online and they're, they're writing statements about me. I've had them phoning the office. I've had the girls in my, my staff have been worried. I'm like, this is just a nightmare, mate. It's just, it's not fair over what a flag. And it's that internet culture where they think that I'll do and say what I want when I want and there's no consequences and there isn't. It's stirring up hate. You said you were part of the casual scene. So what about all your football mates?

14:17Have you had any friends fall out with you? Yeah, I haven't had friends fall out with me. Obviously, Birmingham City's multicultural casual firm, best firm in the country. Zulu Warriors. And we're a great bunch of lads and we're just, we're our own little family. And it's, you know, and it's some fractions of the firm on the outer circle of the firm are, you know, have got opinions and opinions on what people are within and the other side of certain United Kingdom rallies and who could be there and why would you want to associate? And, you know, I'm there just, you know, I went to that rally and it was a great day.

15:00It was a brilliant day, wasn't it? I mean, you guys were great and it was just, it was great. We had a real good time. I've never seen so many patriots smiling, happy, polite, courteous, you know, people helping people in wheelchairs and the pushchairs and the prams. There was kids. It was a carnival atmosphere, even to the point when it pissed down my rain and we was all just fucking soaked singing in the rain and the songs and the black gospel choir and the speakers. It was just a great day. And for me, we had that unity, solidarity, the old drink the bloody Queen's Cup. It felt like the old times, didn't it?

15:39It did feel like the old times and it was really good. There was no masks, no face coverings, no trouble. Only apart from the lefties, they were all, you know, cybered up in all the gear. and for that not to be shown, but, you know, it was great. And going back to the football casual scene, you know, I did go to that and it was great and I'd go back to it again 10 times over. You know, it's probably a good time for me to mention this, that in regards to Unite the Kingdom, because I'm so glad that, because the press will always want to play it down. You were there, you saw it. I didn't prompt you to talk about it.

16:12We're here to talk about the flag and I want to hear about your back. No, but I'm delighted you did. So I'm going to add to that because I've always flown solo. I've always just gone by myself, never picked a team, never been part of a crowd. I've always dipped in and out of lots of other crowds and never been part of any movement either. It's taken something special like Unite the Kingdom for me to think I'm actually going to put my name to that. I'm part of that because it's what I stand for. I want to unite the kingdom just like you want to unite the kingdom starting with your own town, Birmingham.

16:43But take me back. Let's find out a bit more about you. So your granddad is a war hero. Yeah, so I was brought up, you know, like I said, in Birmingham. You know, mum, dad. Dad was a lorry driver. Mum was a cleaner, little sister, cousins, all the rest of it. And we used to, you know, go on holiday to Weymouth. We used to go to Save Up and every three or four years we'd go to Mallorca. And that was, you know, normal. Well, I say normal. And we lived in Birmingham. Saturdays we'd go round my nan and granddad's and we'd have, you know, fish and chips. My nan would have the, you know, the best Charles and Diana tea service on the side, the Union Jack tea towel, and it was just the norm.

17:22My granddad then, you know, when my mum and dad went out, we'd look after us and I'd say, granddad, tell us some stories about what happened in the war and he'd tell us this and we was on a boat and we'd done that. And I'd just be fascinated with it, absolutely fascinated with it. You know, and he'd show us all his memorabilia and he's passed now and I've got that memorabilia. And he was a sergeant major, he had a military funeral with that union flag over his coffin. And I think since that day, I think at school in the 80s, I think, you know, I used to, on my pencil case, I used to draw the union jack and I used to, I was just, it was just the norm.

17:55It was just like normal. It should be normal. Do you feel like you're doing your granddad a good service? Yeah, I do. Yeah, I do. Do you think of him when you're doing this? I really do. Yeah, I really do. He does get me. That's lovely. And my mum, more to the point, my mum is like she said your grandad would be so proud of you and for me to sort of I don't know, it's just doing something isn't it it's putting a flag on a lamppost at the end of the day bottom line and it might sound a bit petty to people but for me I mean my mum has heard the stories and my grandad and her uncle you know they was in a little boy's home and when they was at 16 then it was straight into the army and that's why they were Sergeant Majors and high ranking because they had no upbringing as kids.

18:43They was in a workhouse that was in Oxford and then they went from there into the war and then one was Germany, one was Burma and that was it then. And we've got the letters of my grandad writing to my nan and we will have a wedding here and they've never seen each other for seven years and we're pen pals on that. And that story, it really brings, my mum will end up crying when she sees this, but yeah. It's powerful. It's powerful, mate. That's true love, that is. It's love, mate. And for me to do something, I mean, those guys were like 16, 17 years old, going, you'll go there and fight. I mean, I've got Churchill tattoos and people say Churchill's a racist.

19:19It is what it is, but that's what I believe in. And if you don't like it, then so be it. But I'm a patriot and I love my country and I love everything my country's done in the past, stands up for. And yeah, probably I've done some things in so-and-so year. But I think they've done a lot the other way as well. And I think they've, you know, looked after a lot of people. And I think they, you know, we're not in a country that's like North Korea or China. We're quite free and we can do what we want. And I think we are fair and I think we're very fair. And I think we're a little bit too fair. Well, for years, people have sat back and they've taken, you know, they've been assassinated by the left.

19:57People just sat on their hands doing nothing for so long. But I think what you're doing now is a necessary balance. Like we need to restore national pride. And if not you, who? Exactly. You're doing a good job. Yeah. And it's not like this is a new thing for you. No, it's not new for me. It's just normal for me. This is in your blood. Yeah, yeah. I mean, my close pals know, I've had an England tattoo from when I wagged school at 15 and went and got a tattoo done. My mum cried her eyes out going, you was perfect as a kid. You've had an England tattoo. What have you done? You know, that was just the norm.

20:29You know, I've always gone to football. I've always gone to all the England games. I've done all the World Cups. I do the lot and I love my country. Have you had the racist card pulled on you yet? Yeah, I have, yeah. I've had a picture put up of me silhouetted with a Nazi picture. So I'm putting the England St. George flag up and then next to it is captioned and it's got a wooden ladder with a boy putting up a Nazi flag going, it's the same. Mental. It's not the fucking same. We're almost like learning a new language in our own country because I've always put my hand in the air and waved to say hello to people or to a crowd or to a group.

21:07I don't do that anymore because I know that somebody will take a photograph and they'll say that I'm slinging up a zig hole. So I now put my thumb up instead. But intrinsically, I've always put my hand up and waved. So we have to change the way we behave so we don't play into their hands because they will use – it's sad we've got to do it. That's how sad they are though. Yes. It's how fucking sad they are. Yeah, very twisted. They are sad. And yeah, like you say, you've got to do the thumbs up instead of how you're doing sort of thing because that snapshot you've finished, aren't you? Imagine if someone said to you 15 years ago, you'll get pictured waving and people will accuse you of zig-hulling and if you put your own union flag up, you're going to get branded a racist and a bigot and a fascist and you're going to get lambasted and put in the newspaper.

21:47You're going to be lied about. You're going to get your business assassinated. You would have thought Jeremy Beedle was just about to pop out. Yeah, it's crackers. Yeah, crackers. I mean, I'm an 80s kid, Jeremy Beedle. There's another one. and we go back to my growing up and I was, they called it Cool Britannia instead of All Britannia. That's right. And Cool Britannia, you had Spice Girls with the dress. Yeah. And obviously we met the lovely young girl and she was great. You know, at the King, she'd come on with the dress on and done a speech and some songs and some stuff and she was great. We had like the Blur and Oasis thing and Liam had the, you know, he had the Union Jack on his guitar.

22:23And like, I just think it's just gone. It's just gone. That's us. That's what we was about, you know. And I just feel like I'm not trying to upset anyone. I'm not trying to bring divide. I'm just trying to go, come on, let's all have a G up. Yeah, what is the purpose? I mean, I know National Pride needs to be restored, but what's your ultimate goal? What are you trying to achieve? I think the government have let things go worse and worse and worse and worse. And I think people have stood up and realised, bloody hell, what is going on here? We're the highest tax country in the bloody world, I think.

22:56And we're now letting people... I mean, I can't go to another country without a passport and I can't just turn up and go, can you give me X, Y and Z? And I get that they're fleeing from war-torn countries, but the people that are coming from France on dinghies have travelled through six countries to get to a country called France. And that's not really had a war since 1945, unless I'm mistaken. but I'm from Birmingham, you see, so I wouldn't, I didn't, our schools aren't very good there. But I don't think there's a war in France and I think, and the people that come over, from what I've seen, are of fighting age and are, they don't look like they're escaping wartime countries and I don't know why they'd leave their mothers because I wouldn't leave mine.

23:39I wouldn't leave my missus and I wouldn't leave my kids and come on my own. So I can't work that out and maybe I'm ignorant or maybe I'm stupid but I can't work that one out. That's why we then done raise the colours.org.uk, plug. We'd done the Dover job and it was unbelievable. Yeah, what was the Dover job? And the Dover job, we got this sheet. So we got a guy and he sprayed it all and he'd done the St George's cross on it and raised the colours and we hung it on a derelict building and it looked great, but it then rained and it looked rubbish. So I was like, fucking hell, it looked great, that did.

24:17Better do it again. So we better do it again. So anyway, right, let's all chip in, boys. So we all threw some money in and we got some money raised together through various different people, which we're very grateful of. And we got a 20-metre by 7-metre flag, raisethecolours.org.uk in the corner. Realism, not racism. Unite the Kingdom across the front from our sponsor. So we got that flag anyway to my back garden, quite a big back garden. We rolled it all out and it looked brilliant. I'll send you the pictures. You look great. And then we were, we're going to go to Dover. We have to check the weather, see how it is.

24:54And we're going to get all the carabiners and all the rodding eyes and we'll hammer them into the ground and we'll hang it over the cliff. And that's when GB News contacted us about what we're doing. And I said, we're going to stick it over the cliff and see the boats and we'll get the drone footage and all that. And we were like, we're just amateurs. We're just normal guys. Got down there and your drone doesn't work. They've got like a no fly zone at Dover. so you can't put drones up to see what's going on. And we've now since found out there's six military drones that are up all the time to see the boats coming.

25:26And they get to 12 miles, the drone pinpoints them and brings them in, escorted. So we're speaking to some locals at Dover, and I was like, yeah, you can't use a drone if you're down that way. You can use it up here. So we end up hanging the flag where we could use the drone because they've got signal blockers. So you're like, what is going on in this government? This is like mental. So we've got the drone up, we've done the footage, it looks great, it's on the website, it's really, really good. And we had a great day and we just had such a good laugh. And that Dover job, it sort of brought us all together.

25:55We got some jumpers printed and it was like a bit more than a flag. It was great. Monday on NBC. US Marshall! All new Line of Fire, the thrilling new crime drama. The world sees us as heroes, but they don't know what the job really costs. One family of federal agents. It's one thing to put yourself in danger. It's different when it's your family. Balances duty to their country. An assassin is still out there. Stop! And each other. How do you protect the world and the people you love at the same time? Every case hits home on Line of Fire, Monday on NBC. This episode is brought to you by ChatGPT.

26:33Hey, it's Bill Simmons from the Bill Simmons Podcast. Have you guys heard about ChatGPT work? It's the new way to use ChatGPT for bigger multi-step projects. And when you need more than just answers, give ChatGPT work access to your apps and files, and it can create real work documents like spreadsheets, slides, and structured reports. Get started at ChatGPT.com by selecting work mode available on Plus and Pro plans. Now, I know that this could lead to violence. Yeah. I'm sure you've thought about that. Yeah. Knowing that this could lead to violence where you come under very heavy duty attack, I'm assuming you're going to continue the cause.

27:14And why are you going to continue despite the fact you could be in danger? Yeah, the issue is the danger that we've come across is not a colour thing. It's not a religion thing. It's a white middle class lefty thing. these people, they talk to you like you're below them, like their IQ's bigger than them, that they know all about you and what you do. And they believe this is our area. We will do this. We've had that battle in Sturchley, Birmingham. We've had loads and loads of positive. We've done a horn counter and people love it. But these guys come down with these, you know, lefty Antifa things around the head.

27:58And they were like, they were ready to go. And I just thought, what the hell? I mean, what do they want to gain? Because we won't stop. I mean, would our granddads stop? The answer is no, they wouldn't. The job is to fight for your country and for freedom and to get rid of Nazi regimes like them. They're the racists. Yeah, it's ironic. They are the racists. And it's insane they can't sit because it's all well and good. When people look at the internet, they look at these lefties with blue hair and they're completely out of touch. But it is that liberal mindset. They're the sort of people that go and plot up on the roof and shoot people for their opinions.

28:34That's the problem we're up against. So what happened in the Dover job is that night then, Charlie Kirk, he was in my back garden. We're all getting it all out. We're all pleased. And then that just happened with Charlie. And we're like, oh, my God, some nutter has done that. And we're like, what should we do? So we went, got the printers open and said, can you do a St. George cross with Rest in Peace, Charlie? and no one deserves to die. No one deserves to fucking die by the hands of some lunatic. And, you know, look at it, it was a lunatic and, you know, look what happened the other day. It doesn't matter if you're Charlie Kirk and you believe what he believes, if you're the Israelis the other day, you know, they're going on their holiest day and, you know, death's death and no one wants that.

29:20But if you're in this country, in my eyes, we're not doing anything wrong and Gary never can fuck off because it's... It's infuriating. It's a fucking load of bollocks. He's mental. You know, he's talking about stuff he hasn't got a clue about. Go and go on that building site. Go and pay the taxes that the lads pay. Go and work for the money that the lads are working for because it ain't nice. And do you know what? If they feel good sticking the flag up in the country where they are, then so be it. Don't come and rip down the one little bit of identity that they've got left. The moronic thing is he's directly attacking the people that have paid to watch him play for years and they're working on building sites for him.

29:55He's attacking his employees. He is. Yeah, piece of shit. He is a piece of shit. He is a piece of shit. And it's another one where he shouldn't be in the job he's in. Because if that's me, you or anyone else, we're going to be told, oh, you can't do that. You can't speak up. You can't come on here with you because, oh, you're going to be brandies as a racist or a this or a that or dividing or drawing. I'm not doing, we're not doing anything like that. We're not making, we're not saying that someone is something. Like for him to say that about angry, angry, what did he say? Angry whites. Middle-aged men.

30:26Middle-aged men. And what he means is white middle-aged working class men. That's what he means, yeah. We know who he's talking about. We fucking do. But we love him. Are Tower Hamlets Council going to prescribe you as far-right extremists? I believe so. I believe so, which is just absolutely, absolutely shocking. I mean, if anyone can tell me, if anyone can tell me if they've seen a far-right extremist walking down the street, because a far-right extremist to me is the guys you've seen on pictures pictures from the internet in the 70s and early 80s. They wasn't around in my day and my era. I'm from Birmingham and we're multicultural.

31:03And for Tower Hamlets to sort of say things like that is horrendous. I've heard today on the news, Birmingham City Council are looking to pay people£25 an hour and they're working nights, seven till six in the morning, £25 an hour, the job application online for two people plus the van. So you're thinking Birmingham City Council tax is paying for that to remove articles from Lampo. So we know what they mean. We mean the flags. They can't pick up the fucking rubbish. There's still rubbish all around the streets. Birmingham City Council's on its knees. That was Birmingham, wasn't it? All the rubbish.

31:40Yeah. Well, people were spraying the St. George Cross on the bin bags to get them collected. They were the only ones that were collected. That was how ironic it was. Do you know what? I totally forgot that there was that garbage problem. It's still there. It's still there. All the bin lads who do a great job. We love all the lads. And do you know what? They all give us a bib. They all give us a toot on the horns. And all the bin lads love the flags going up. They've got all the flags in. And they're just pissed off. They're just getting tucked to the cleaners by their unions, by the council, which effectively is the government.

32:11But they can pay near on£50 an hour in wages, plus the vehicle to get someone to remove the flags. And that's because of people in power yet again. When the residents had to clear up the rubbish themselves, that's how it all sort of sorted itself out, wasn't it? Of course it did. And it's back to the old Birmingham roots where everyone comes together and you all put your rubbish. Like I said, on a Saturday, I would go out with black friends, Asian friends to Irish bars. And then we'd go to a reggae night afterwards watching Birmingham City. It's multicultural. And Birmingham come together. You know, they literally were putting tons of rubbish in certain areas, so it's easier.

32:53And if you knew one of the lads on the bins, you could go, you couldn't come and grab these, could you? And that's what they would do. Not that I'm trying to incriminate you, but because I know how this rolls out, I know that the people on the left, they'll all be in cahoots with each other and they'll all be digging into your past. Is there anything that you've done in the past, Any skeletons in your closets that you think that may come out and I don't want that leaking? This is probably a good time to get it out yourself before they do and put their twist on it. No comment.

33:28Have you got anybody buried under your patio? For the purpose of the tape, I would like to bring my solicitor in. No. Yeah, you know, I've had a bullshit scandal wrote in the papers about me. And whenever I'm applying for credit for anything I need, it always pops up. And it was near on 10 years ago. And it was a made up story about a holiday claim company that I had. And they're bringing all that up now. And I'm like, if you read, if you was actually as clever as they think they are and read the story, the headline wasn't, the picture was me, but the headline was about an industry, nothing to do with me.

34:04Yeah. And I did go down to football and 20 odd years ago, you know, have a scrap. You know, but is that a bad thing? I'm not, I'm not doing anything illegal. in my eyes, I've had a scrap at the football, which is wrong. And you shouldn't fight in a public place. But, you know, it was 20 years ago. I'm not hurting anyone. I'm a law-abiding citizen. I, you know, I drive on the left and I'm on the right. Drive on the left, but you believe on the right. Correctamundo, yeah. I used to go out fighting at the football, but I weren't hurting anyone. Yeah, yeah. They'll crop that. Like-minded people. Yeah, yeah, exactly.

34:35Well, that's the thing. But it's like-minded people. Do you know, I don't really care what they think because they can't really do anything to me. I just don't really care. They are like vile, vile people. And they will sit there and dig into this, that and the other. And they can do what they want in their sad little lives. I'm putting a flag up. And yeah, I've been to the football and had a scrap 20 odd years ago. And it's important to remember that my little bit of sarcasm there is when rival football firms get together and have their fights, it's arranged. They both want to fight each other.

35:05Yeah, yeah. Just in case people thought you was out there just punching people on the nose randomly. Well, I know you through a guy from another firm who I've spoke to 20 minutes. All right, mate, how you doing? And it's just the norm. Don't you rope me into your fucking scandal. You hooligans. But, like, you know, what lads haven't had a fight and what lads haven't got drunken disorderly? We're normal people. Let's not pretend we're this lefty woke brigade that are prim and proper and this, that and the other. These lefties are coming up to us on the street. They're more bothered about, have you got permission off the council and who's give you a permit to do this?

35:39And who... I'm thinking, fuck the permit. There's fucking 10... There's 35 ,000 coming since January and you're all bothered about a permit to put a flag up. Do me a favour. It just fucking... They're crackers, Garolinica, ripping flags down off building sites that lads have put up. There's 35 ,000 unvetted lunatics, for all we know, coming in. And do you know what? You just called Garolinica? He's the same. they can both fuck off in my eyes. How's your family taken this? Are they worried? Yeah, my mum got worried the other night. Wife, kids? Yeah, yeah. Kids I've kept in the dark. But it's a bit hairy at the local shop because I live in quite a nice area and they're like a bit having a look at you and look you in the eye.

36:26And my mum just said, where are you going with this and what are you doing? And the thing is, I don't know where I'm going with it and I don't know what I'm doing. I mean, I've been on air now, which I'm grateful for you to invite me on. And I've been on GB. And I love GB News. I can't stop watching it. I think it's a great news channel and their figures are well up on Sky News and BBC. And if you watch it, you think, well, is it that way? It's just the norm, isn't it? That's what's happening in our country and they're reporting on the real stuff that's happening. And, you know, where am I going?

36:59I don't know, but we're not going to stop. Nothing's going to stop, yeah. We're not going to stop. What would it take? Do you think, I'm just wondering if somebody could set you up to land you in jail? Yeah. Or if new laws are introduced because of it? I think that's what will happen. I think we've been given the reins and I think it's because the old, I think Keir Starmer's had a look and they've obviously had a meeting about it and they've obviously looked and gone, right, all these flags going up, what are we going to do? And I think if they said no, I think they would have thought, well, that's stopping the summer riots.

37:30I think now we're getting into the winter and it's getting colder. Yeah. Knights are drawing in. I think they're now going to bring something out to go, let's get some flags down. And it will sort of try and fizzle out, but we'll try and keep going. Yeah, I wonder what law they would stick on that. Because it isn't vandalism. I would imagine ripping them down is vandalism. Yeah, I mean, the lefties, when they do just rip them down, I mean, we get up there and we'll actually cut the ends off the tie wraps and it looks all neat and it flies lovely. It looks beautiful. A bit of wind looks really good.

38:01When it rains, they don't look the best. but because they're sort of nylon, they dry out and it just looks, it brightens up the blooming streets. We live in a, you know, we don't have much sun in this country and it brightens up the streets and it looks beautiful, I think. Have you caught anybody out ripping a flag down in person? We've had them come saying, you are not. We've had a guy, a lunatic, he tried to go underneath the cherry pick because we hired a cherry picker, which is a fortune. And we hired the cherry picker and he was underneath the cherry picker and we're trying to put the lads down and the lads go, I don't want to go down and hit him.

38:32And he went, don't touch me, don't move me. Ah, you're assaulting me and all this. And I thought, mate, just move out the fucking way. Get a grip. And he's like, you're damaging the pavement. And where's your permit to work? And all the, it's just, they're lunatics. So you've got the Union flag and the St. George's flag. And so you position them, Union Jack on top, St. George's underneath. And you've got the cherry picking house. You can get them so high, it makes it awkward for people to take them down. We do. And it looks great like that. I mean, we was doing it off ladders at the start. And we're just doing something just to make yourselves feel better.

39:04It ended up, you know, with all the bibs of the horns, which means so, so much. We had a family come out in West Heath, Birmingham, and they had little union flags. He had all his kids in front. We had him and his wife, and they were waving the flag congratulating us. People have come over. Would you like the elderly? A lot of elderly come over. Would you like some money? And they're like, we're all right, thanks. And let's make sure you get across the old values that we've lost. We've lost a bit of our old. I bet the elderly loved it. They love it like you wouldn't believe. They love it. We've got Armistice Day coming up and we're going to be, you know, we'll raise the poppy and we're into all of that.

39:40And we love the elderly and we love our veterans. And why would you not? Have you got any other flags you're going to introduce? We're looking to block out what the left are doing and we're going to raise our new flag, which is coming, which has cost us a bloody fortune per flag. So I hope they don't rip this one down. but we're going to raise the, lest we forget, with the poppy, the silhouette of the soldiers, and we're going to do that for the rest of this month. We've ordered them and they should be here tomorrow, so we're going to get them out and we're going to put them on the lampposts and we're going to make people, you know, it's just like wearing a poppy.

40:14Well, that would change the game completely because what kind of a scumbag would take those flags down? Yeah, exactly. In honour of men like your granddad? Exactly, exactly. And, you know, the veterans, people have lost legs, limbs, and it's all for the country. It's all for king and country, queen and country. I'm a royalist, and whatever people say about the royal family, I've met Princess Diana when I was a kid. I handed her some flowers, and I've got the pictures, and it was, you know, and that picture was up, blown up. It was up three times in my nan and granddad's house. So it was blown up, and it was like, you know, oh, we've got a photo copy, we can blow it up.

40:49And it was blown up, and that picture was in the house three times because it was, you know, it was what they, it was the true values of the country and what we've done. And, you know, in the values is solidarity and it's unity and it's just bringing everybody together. And I've been brought up in, as I say, I keep banging on about this. I was going to ask you, where are you from?

41:12Brummie, mate, brummie. Uroit. Uroit, mate. It's funny, I camped out the night before Princess Diana's funeral and I watched the parade. I'm trying to remember how young I was. I'm 45. How old are you? I'm 44. Yeah, so similar age. I was a teenager. I remember exactly where I was. I was coming back from a nightclub in Brighton and it come out on the news that she died. And I don't think the royal family's ever been the same since. We had the Queen, but I mean, the King in comparison is no... No, no. He's no Elizabeth Fizzy. No, he's not. But without the royal family, we are done and dusted. What do you think of King Charles?

41:47I like King Charles. Do you? Yeah, I'm a royalist. I like King Charles. I don't mind him. Do I love him? No. You know, there's bad in everything, like we say. There is bad in everything. But as a whole, he represents the royal family. So I'm a royalist. I like the royal family. And I think if we haven't got a royal family, you know, that could be, it could be another hotel. The thing is, I wouldn't be surprised anymore. I wouldn't be surprised. I mean, that guy you've got up the road here, Sadiq, he would have that just to take the piss. Well, here we go. What are your views on Sadiq Khan? Oh, I can't stand the bloke.

42:20I can't stand the bloke. I think Ant Middleton is an absolute legend. I think his speech that he'd done, I've watched that on YouTube twice, and I love the way he uses the umbrella of a Christian country. And being so patriotic, being at the United Kingdom festival. Festival. It was a festival. It was great. As a patriot, that's been a patriot since you've come out of the womb, by the sounds of it, what did it mean for you to be there and fill that energy? You could just cry. It was just, it was just so electric. It was so, so electric from, I mean, I was there the night before and it was brilliant.

42:56And then for my family that was coming down on the day to getting phone calls, they're on the train and the tubes and it was, and they're going, it's Ram, dear, it's Ram, whereabouts are you? And everywhere was completely chock-a-block with lovely, nice, normal British English people from every race, colour, creed. It was solidarity. It is how it should be. It's been a while since we felt that, hasn't it? It really was. It was like the old tea party out in the streets. It was fucking brilliant. I really had a great day. And I said, you could have done that day. I could have done that day with 10 different.

43:31I could have done it with that group of friends, that group of friends. my kids, my mum, I could have done it with the lads. It was just a great day. I wish I could do it again. It was good. Well, there'll be more to come. I know that for a fact. You've got a business partner with your Raise the Colours. Yeah. How has this affected him? Yeah, he's having the same. Has he come under similar attack? He's come under similar attack. Big guy. Big guy, yeah. Big Al. He's come under attack today. He's front page of the Birmingham Mail. My face has been on there for the last two days and in stories and whatnot.

44:05And then Birmingham Dispatch, there's a girl in there, Karen Knowles. She's wrote some horrific stuff about me. She's gone right deep into it. She's been phoning my office. She's been phoning my staff at work. And she's a piece of shit. And she's tried to, oh, hi, and all this friendliness. And they think that they're speaking to a nice person. And she's a fucking liar. She's a piece of shit. And I hope she gets struck off. Can't stand the woman. And she's a nasty piece of work. And to do that, I've got three kids. Where are you coming from? And she's one of these loons again that's dressed like, I don't know what, crazy.

44:43She looks like she's in fucking costume for a fucking Star Trek film. And she's disgusting. Oh, I've had them all. I've had one that looked like Rupert the Bear the other day. And they're crackers. And, you know, if you want to dress you like that and be like that, Good, but don't have opinions on me. And don't talk about something you don't know about. I'm not claiming to know everything, but I'm a fucking good person. At least you know where you stand with sort of independent journalists. Like someone like me, for example. Like I said to you earlier, have you got any skeletons in your closet?

45:13Yeah. It's like there's no underhand trying to butter you up and sort of make you trip up. But those... I know you're not going to stitch me. No, but those mainstream media lot, they're the enemy. They're fucking terrible. Did you realise that? No, I didn't. And I'll tell you what we didn't realise when we started, how many of these lefties that there is, there is fucking thousands of them. I didn't really, and it's, I'm gutted that there is that many and I don't know if we are all too late. And, you know, the migrant crisis and what's going on with immigration, it's there, you know, and I go to Birmingham Airport and it's fucking a shit show.

45:49You're stood in queues, stand there, don't get this, get your passport open at this page, stand there, that queue, And I'm thinking, who the fuck are all these shouting at? Do your job and go and stand on that beach because that's not allowed. I can't go into another country, but I just think that those guys that are in border force, their hands are tied. It's from the above and it's to do with him in there. And there's a big scam going on in my eyes and I just can't see the bottom of it. I just think it's terrible what's happening. And they're economic migrants. They're coming over for economic purposes to get money.

46:22And you can't really blame the blokes, really. Because if I was, you know, it's like the lads back in the old days who were the brickies, Alveda, same pet, that went over to Germany. They went over for the earner because the brick was more expensive over there so we can earn more money per brick. And it's trade, but there's no giving back. Whereas if we trade with that country and trade with this country, that's all fine. You know, we've done the Unite the Kingdom festival. And above our heads was Ukraine flags, if you looked, all the way down the street. I looked up and I've seen all them and I thought, have they put them up to goad or to wind something up?

47:00But if we haven't had an influx of Ukrainians, we haven't had an influx of, you know, back in, I don't know, five, six years ago, the Polish, and then we had Albanians and Bulgarians and we had all sorts of people coming over and working and going back and coming, and it's fine because that's what we're about in this country. But what we're not about is freeloaders and free rollers. was that my granddad would be turning his grave going, what the hell is all this about? Have you had many people that are part of your team that because of the pressure have stepped down? Unfortunately, yeah. I mean, we'd done the Dover job.

47:36And when we'd done that, they went, we were putting a flag up and we can't sort of get involved in this because they work for the NHS or they work for other sort of divisions of where people have got political probably backgrounds. I don't know, but they've just come. I can't get involved, unfortunately. So it's a shame because they're patriots and they're acting to be undercover now and go in that lane that you're not allowed to say this or you're not allowed to do that or you're not allowed to do this. Before I ask you the final question, where can people find you from here? Yeah, so we've got a website, raisethecolours.org.uk and we're on there and we'd love some help.

48:19We've been donating flags all around the country and the lads just give us a post back when they donate. So we donate flags and we send those out and then we've done some banners for some lads up in Durham, some good lads. We've got obviously the Solly All Boys, the Wheelie Warriors. Those boys have been putting flags up in their community, all brilliant lads. And we've just got a great little community and everyone's just nice, normal people. We're not taking to the streets rioting. We're not protesting. We're not doing marches and rallies. We just need some help. And where are you from again?

48:54From that little place called Birmingham. Final message then. What would your message be to the people that are getting up late at night and taking down those flags? Well, for me, I just think they need to give their heads a wobble and realise that if what's happening is annoying you, then maybe they need to look at themselves and maybe they shouldn't really have the opinions they've got on certain things, but not on others. And what they're doing is they need to have a long look at themselves and think to themselves, am I comfortable in my own country? But we're not even bringing awareness to the migration.

49:31We're bringing awareness to just, let's get a bit of national pride, tea and biscuits. Let's bloody put EastEnders on and put your feet up. And, you know, just normal. We're just normal people, aren't we? We're just Englishmen and Britishmen. well I will certainly drink and raise my flag to restoring national pride I appreciate what you do for one I think it's long overdue we've had every other flag being waved and it's about time that we had ours back as the number one flag so with that said I wish you all the luck in the world stay safe watch out for those crazy motherfuckers and I'm sure I'll speak to you soon cheers dude cheers brother thank you say lucky

50:16And we're back. Streaming on Peacock. May I present to you the award-winning staff of the Toledo Truth Teller. Slap me. Let's jar something loose. Ay, yes! I like that. The Certified Fresh Series returns. Your boss. You always like this? Or is this just an act? Oh, no. This is mad. Oysters, everybody! Has it happened? There's a certain satisfaction when you work with someone. Maybe we could be a family. You sadistic pig! The Paper. New season streaming September 9th, only on Peacock.
