In short

Tottenham Hotspur’s miserable season, existential frustration, and the pressure of the final-day match vs Everton; debate over tactics, player quality, and refereeing/VAR decisions.

Guests (hosts)

Cal (named “Calum” in banter), T, and Flav/“Flav” (one speaker). They discuss Spurs fandom, recent matches (including vs Arsenal, Leeds, Brighton, Chelsea), and upcoming Everton game.

Guest backgrounds

Not formally stated, but they are long-time Spurs supporters who reference personal/club experiences (e.g., “Uncle Bill,” WhatsApp group, Patreon Spurs content). No professional football roles mentioned.

Key claims

Spurs feel “backwards” since ~2008; Kane/Son covered systemic flaws; De Zerbi may restore calm but personnel is lacking; Muani lacks Premier League suitability; refereeing/VAR has repeatedly gone against Spurs (not a full conspiracy, but “bizarre” inconsistency).

Notable examples

Arsenal “champions” moment; Muani pass leading to Chelsea’s second goal; Maddison penalty/VAR quick-clearance vs Leeds; Cucurella foul/ball-in-play VAR debate; Everton needing a “hairdryer” response after recent results.

27Oh, come on. Quirred 2-0. You rage quirred 2-0? Yeah. Yeah. I see you're wearing your, not only are you wearing a, is that just like a, what is that, a vintage Spurs shirt or is it actually? A vintage Spurs shirt, yeah. Not, not, just a replica one. I was given a, do you remember the Admiral 1970s kit? Late 1970s kit. I was given that sign by Glenn Hoddle. Oh, nice. Yeah, by a West Ham fan, of all people. Wow. Yeah, one of the soundiest West Ham fans I've met to be fair. I was just talking to you lads before hitting record. I'm in such a bad mood today. I lashed out at someone on the pod in a WhatsApp group.

13He didn't deserve it. But I said, I think you're an awful weird little fat man. A ginger weird little fatty. Fucking hell. That's horrible. and then he didn't respond and I was like I'm so sorry I'm so sorry I didn't mean that I just I'm lashed out something that's been sort of playing on my mind for the last couple of last few hours maybe the last couple of days I made this statement about Tottenham being like a social experiment in suffering yeah and that's I can't get past that you know like when you know like when rival fans sing Tottenham Hotspur you'll always be shit do they know something like are they in on something that we're not in on it feels like it it feels like there's a massive joke and I'm like no one doesn't get it yeah we're the butt of the joke but we don't understand why or who's coming for us yeah you just see it play out like even like the performance last night wasn't awful.

29It wasn't bad. In fact, if you look at the statistics, we're the better team for what that's worth. The only statistic really that matters right now is the result. But I just think, I just went into the game knowing that we weren't going to win. And then when it played out, it was like, of course, of course, of course we're not going to win. and then sort of on 70 minutes, it just pops up Arsenal champions. You're like, what is this? What are we going through here? What are we going through? Why? Genuinely, I think we might be the baddies. I think we might be the awful people on earth, but we just don't realise it.

11Like the dickhead in the friend group or at the party doesn't realise he's a dickhead. It's not his fault. He doesn't realise he's a dickhead. Maybe we've all done some terrible in a past life, and this is now what we have to live through. I was thinking about my Uncle Bill. You'll know him, Cal. you do yeah you're a patron pension bill top man loves the ladies he is dead so um he uh he didn't love the ladies a very wholesome man right but he just decided at some point to just give up on right he's like in his 70s he's um he was like a rat catcher his wife died at 52 pension bill yeah and just like what's he gonna do with a pension man he lost he lost he lost his leg in the war, in World War II on the Norbury lands.

57He lost his leg, so he had the war pension. And then he went after, which was not insignificant. Unlike today, where veterans might not be treated as well as they probably should be, back then in the World War II, for obvious reasons, they were looked after. So he had the war pension. He lost it bad that the shell came over on the beach. And it makes you sort of wonder, and perhaps why he gave up on Spurs eventually. but it makes you wonder you know you realize how lucky we are and we're moaning about a football match when he had his leg blown to smithereens on a beach in france had to be taken back they lopped it off he had a wooden peg leg for the rest of his life went to work in insurance in the in the city got a pension from that bigger pension you imagine being an insurance broker in the city done well there his wife died at 52 ivy god bless her so he gets a widower's pension as well He is caked.

53He's also got all the money he's earned, right? There's no room for Spurs and all that, though. I mean, fair play. But he kept watching Spurs all that time. He kept watching Spurs. And then I think around in his 60s at some point, he went, what am I doing? I don't want this anymore. I'm going to walk away and my life's going to be better. And he didn't look back. Like, God, I dread to think what he did with all that pension money. what was it known about in the local bruffles pension bill don't say the other joke that's for patreon.com for a social fighting cop I even think you went a little bit far and I know you on that day but yeah pension bill just for the record because some of my family might be listening to this Uncle Bill I have no clear and absolute knowledge that he visited any bruffles at all but he'd gone through all that and I think losing his leg having it blown to smithereens by a German bomber right I think it was that lesson that he learned and going well I don't have to put myself through this I've just I've got one leg I'm not going to have I'm not going to let Tottenham take my mind so he just gave up and walked away it reminds me of it reminds me of when you go to primary school to secondary school it's like in primary school you've got your toy cars plenty of your mates you go to secondary school and you realise that shit's not cool anymore and you tell your mum fuck I don't want no more cars that's what Bill did with Spurs it's like you know what Spurs is naff my old friend supports Spurs I'm going to move on in my life and be a much better person we're the neeks left behind that's what we are and there's people who have just got much better fulfilling lives not watching us stumble through this horror show of a season yeah i i i was thinking about why i think we're all this is hitting us especially hard and and i think uh when i was doing five statements this morning or another patreon podcast if you want to some for some godforsaken reason you want more tottenham content in this horrible hellish season then you can become a patron there's plenty there but i did And I was thinking about it and I was thinking, it's not just having two bad seasons on the bounce.

20It's actually much bigger than that. And it goes back five or six years where it collectively feels like we're not heading in the right direction. In fact, since about 2008, it feels like we've been, even though we had the Champions League final in 2019, it feels like things are going backwards. And we have slowly, slowly degraded as a football club, not, I don't know, perhaps not on the off, off the pitch because we're generating loads of money, but just as a footballing entity, it's, I think we're all going through some sort of existential crisis where we, all the decision making that had been made by Daniel Levy and the other people that run the football club, it became so, it became so obvious that football wasn't at the forefront of what Enoch and Daniel Levy were doing, that it's left us all with this feeling that oh fuck we can't control this and they're doing everything wrong but we have to bear the brunt and i'm sure they're all upset i'm sure they're upset about the idea that we have to go into the final game against everton but i don't feel it like hard we are we feel it because we were there way before them most of us at least anyway so i just want to feel and i think maybe roberto deserve you might be the answer i just want to feel us move forward it feels like we're moving in the right direction again.

44I think that was the scary part for me earlier in the season was that as things were just kind of getting worse and worse, there was no one I could, there was no one at Tottenham or at the football club that you could point to and go, that person's going to get us out of it. That person knows what they're doing. And in the past, to an extent, to an extent, it was Daniel Levy because he would act. There would be some sort of act. It might not always be the right thing, but he'd ran a football club for 20 years he had a slight idea of what he was doing and then this season it was like i don't have faith in any of you none of you know what you're doing and then you look at the players and my nephew asked me the other day who's your favorite player and i went i don't have one yeah i don't have a favorite player i am for i were in a moment of spite I unfollowed all of them on social media you're so petty I'm sure they're gutted every single one every player the club everyone I lost the stop following like 30 people um but uh yeah but you're right Flav I do trust Azurbi I do trust him and that's what makes me feel not completely confident about Sunday but pretty confident that he is going to drag us through that game and get us over the line and get us into next season.

06I'll tell you, you won't be dragging us over the line. Randall Colomawani. Oh, God. Oh, God. It's like, it's like, I'm always feel for him a bit because like that, that pass he made that led to their second goal, that, that is a pass of a player who has zero confidence, who is, the world is on his shoulders. and I think he realises or at least this current version of Mouane realises that he can't do it in the Premier League. Whatever it is, he's looked great in Europe, he's played for France, which is probably easier than playing for Tottenham in this moment. He's played for France, he tore it up at Frankfurt, did well in Italy with Juventus but some players can't cope with the Premier League and the physicality of it and if you want to know what the physicality means in terms of football and why it's so important in the Premier League.

59Watch Mouane's performances in Italy and then watch him in the Premier League. It's just night and day. I feel for him, but not to the degree where I want him to start. But I don't know what the alternative is. Is it Porro? Playing Porro forward and then having Spence? Is it playing Spence forward? I don't know. T, what do you think? I don't know. I mean, he's kind of playing as a winger as well, which doesn't really help. I feel like he's someone who gets on the end of stuff. He's nine, isn't he, really? Yeah. Shove fucking Pidgin out there, then. Put him up top. I don't know. It's like, I don't know.

44It's a bit like, you know, your kid hates school and you're forcing him to go to school every single day and he fucking hates it. That's Colin Moran, he played for Tottenham right now. He clearly hates players. He clearly hates playing football. And he's been made to do it in front of, well, to be fair, there's less of us, isn't there? But there's lots of angry Spurs fans who just want something to feel. And to go to your earlier point about the direction, I don't know if you remember that moral quandary where you're on a train, you can pull a lever and it kills one person or five people. It feels like the lever's broken off and there's no lever.

18You're just going to smash people anyway. that's what this season has felt like and De Zerbe to a degree does feel like he can restore some sort of calm but I've never understood that analogy by the way that sort of moral quandary it's like obviously it's five kill five of the cunts yeah you just keep pulling it kill six if you want reverse them back and then get the other one yeah reverse the kill the other one but but I feel like god I've lost my thread a bit here but it feels like as good a De Zerbe is you can't legislate for Danzo not clearing the ball or Tal doing an overhead kick in his penalty area or Colin Morane doing that pass.

58You can't legislate for that. And I think all three of us would like to see De Zerbi next season at Spurs in the Premier League and to see what he can do. But there's just so much work to be done. I mean, it's clearly obvious now that Kane and Sonny covered a multitude of sins because you get the board to them and something would happen. And there's no one in this current side who is fit and available. You can give the board to a thing, yeah, stuff is going to happen here. And I would hope that Everton is the last game where I have to feel that way. Yeah, I think it's the thing. We can't replace Sonny and we can't replace Kane.

41And you're right, they carried us for a long, long time. I think it was especially evident in the Mourinho seasons where they were just brilliant. them two it was almost the whole tactic which wasn't a bad tactic at all was if we're defending deep if we can somehow get it to these two on the break then we have a chance and it worked over and over again Conte did the same thing because he realized that you know his words are really kind of they've rung true and we've talked a lot about it this this this year that how right he was when he exploded um that there wasn't enough support and it was a reliance on these two world-class players that we'd had um yeah I mean do you remember that game against Aston Villa where um Conte just it was just Kane and Sonny just killed them absolutely killed them so if we don't have these players then you need a manager with a system because there were teams finishing above us even in that period consistently who didn't have them but what they did have was uh they had a form they had a form they had a system they had a manager that knew what they was doing and I think De Zerbi will get that out of him I think he's just done what he needs to do in order to to move us forward in the short term if he would have based on the form from the six games which is like one eighth of a season would be between sort of probably mid-table to upper mid-table so it's fine thus far and it's still a long way to go Cal you're nodding yeah yeah I do have I do have faith in him.

18I do. It's just about getting this result on Sunday, really, and getting through it. And, you know, I think, yeah, like you guys have said already, the club has to take kind of a lot of ownership, really. It's just felt like for a long time that Pochettino kind of stumbled across a prime Harry Kane, a prime Delhi, a prime Sun, et cetera, and kind of caught lightning in a bottle. and Daniel Levy's kind of, and the club ownership after that was kind of, that was the plan. That was always the plan to try and do that again, to try and do it on the cheap again, to not copy what everyone else is doing, which is spend money, go higher on the wage bill, that sort of thing.

00Instead it was, we'll do that again. We'll pluck players from random places and I'm not going to name names because I always say the name names, but we're going to pluck these niche players and we're going to try and do it again. And it hasn't happened. And we've just seen the recruitment get worse and worse. The team get worse and worse. I still think that the squad is good enough to not be 17th. I think it's probably still probably a 10th place squad. I think if we're honest, I think it's probably about 10th even when everybody's fit because the level now, it's quite an equal league now. It's quite equal.

37It's not the best league, but it's quite equal, I think. You look at a team like Newcastle, fuck me, we'd all love them. midfield wouldn't we and where are they 10th 11th whatever they are I think they might be ninth actually but um like it's an equal league now and we're miles off of it we're miles off of it but I do think with De Zerbi and a lot of money we can get back in the mix again

03T do you think like what is the psychological weight of Chelsea away because they I looked at their sight. I mean, a couple of, you know, Cucurella is an absolutely world-class footballer in my opinion. I know people don't like him. I just think that he is such a consistently good player. And obviously, Cole Palmer played well last night, but he, again, he's one of their world-class talents. I think that's fair to say. But a bat line of Hato, and I can't remember who played next to him. It was, it doesn't matter. Whoever it was, it wasn't the sort of strong... I think that's it. paid next to him.

40Actually, I mean, they paid£80 million for him, didn't they, from Leicester? Yeah. That was the same guy I think. So, like, and I think the performance overall showed that they had, sort of, they were slightly weaker and I guess the two goals they scored, I think Kinski probably should have done better. I was surprised that went in from such distance. Maybe his positioning wasn't right or he was unsighted. I don't know what it is, but I don't want to really criticise Kinski too much, but maybe his positioning was wrong. And then obviously the mistake from Mouane, you just cannot do that to a team as good as Chelsea or in the Premier League at all.

16You cannot give the ball away in that space. Just cannot. It's going to result in a big chance and it resulted in a goal. Despite that, even the performance, I think we have a better team than Chelsea and probably deserve the draw at least. There just seems to be some psychology about them and we feel it as well. I feel it. Yeah, I think this is going to sound somehow ironic. It's almost like their cup final when they play Spurs. They really, really hate Spurs and they've got a good record against Spurs. They realise that they don't have to be at their best. They play the occasion so much better than Arsenal do too in the derbies.

54Spurs always seem to lack the ability to play the occasion. It's always like a rabbit in headlights. and that's largely what it is and I guess it starts from the top and it would be nice to have, I think we had a nucleus of players in the pot chair that just didn't give a shit about any of that and just went at them and we still didn't win, I think we only won at Chelsea at the very very tail end of that but there is a lot of psychology there and I don't know it's difficult to really explain but we've deserved since he's come to Spurs, every team we've played have either got a new manager or they're in some sort of form.

37And I mean, Leeds haven't lost since March. Wolves are kind of showing signs of life even though they were doomed. Brighton hadn't lost in a while until Leeds beat them, ironically. So these are some tough games they've had, really. And we've come out of them with credit. So I do absolutely get the optimism for De Zerbe next season. And I think not just playing ability, but we need to have a mentality that, you know, even if this team are better than you, you're going to be greater than the sum of your parts. And that's almost what we did yesterday. We just lacked quality in the final third. And when you don't have someone who can take the pressure off you, when you don't have the Fabio Wardley right hand to end things, when you don't have that, then it's tough.

20because Madison was creating openings. All the midfielders were creating openings and the strikers were just, all three of them were just terrible. And it's difficult to, mentally and psychologically, it's difficult to play when you're faced with that. It felt like when we got into the final third and around the penalty box, because we had more touches in the box than they did. With genuine results, if you have more touches in the box, you genuinely win the game. We had 26 to their 12. it's down to lack of quality like we and i've said it in recent weeks about richarlison has to start because he understands what it's like to fight for um the fight for the fight for your club in in these moments and he fought last night and there wasn't an ever there will never be a problem with his aptitude it's it's his quality and he scored i know he's got the goal but it's him it's muani and i'm you know tell again our bright spark going forward but there needs to be a combination they have to work together it cannot be about individual brilliance in order to create something that because if it is that and it isn't systematic then you don't score unless something world-class happens or unlikely happens so it that just showed you the problem is personnel and we've got nobody.

39There's nothing to change. Solanke might be fit against Everton, but half-fit or coming off another injury, Solanke, is that going to change and move the dole? Maybe it will, but you just think about what it might have been like if we had a fully fit Madison from the start and Kulisevski available and Solanke there and Odebeer and just options. there's no options these these three front the front three have to have to have to get us out of it have to it's on them um yeah it was you thought this was your run club era turns out it was more of a thinking about run club era the good news someone's marathon training is about to start sell your workout gear on depop just snap a few photos and we'll take care of the rest They get their race day fit and you get a payout for trying.

40Someone on Depop wants what you've got. Start selling now. Depop, where taste recognises taste. I thought it was okay yesterday until they scored. And then I thought we kind of gave up a little bit, actually. I think especially when the second goal went in. And I think what we saw after the second goal is the movie that we've seen all season, which is, oh, we're 2-0 down. We'll try now. We've been seeing that all season. I thought they hid a little bit. I thought they were really, I thought they were poor after 1-0. I thought there wasn't many people really you could point to and go, you know, he had a good year.

18Ben Tankard's been great since he came back. I thought he was woeful yesterday. He just didn't, he didn't get going at all. And yeah, like I said, after 2-0, I was like, okay, we had a go. But to be fair, when Maddison came on, like what you guys have just been talking about, he's a fucking different level to the other midfielders we've got. To have a player like that that will try something every time. I'll show you what we've been missing. And even Charleston perked up a little bit when he came on because you could see him trying to do little flicks and stuff and they created that really good chance.

46A lot of people were kind of microscopically looking at that Maddison chance. It was a good chance, but the defender made a great block. That's it. That's it. There's no more to it than that. Going, John, I'm going to suck it. Fuck off. It was a great block. That's that, really. Yeah, I didn't think we were very good. I thought a lot of players let us down yesterday, to be honest. Yeah, but I thought Madison was great when he came on. It is that level and those are the type of players we need. But those three forwards are the only three forwards we've got. We have no other choice. That's it. The only sympathy I have for Mouane is he is absolutely not a right winger.

26You could play him on the left and you could play him in the middle, but he is absolutely not a right winger, but he is having to play there because we have nobody else unless you swap them. You swap Tell and you swap Mourani and perhaps put Mourani in a position where he's perhaps a little more familiar, which I think perhaps should be an option. What did you think about the referee's performance, boys? Because obviously the bone of contention here, and this comes off the back of several games in recent history where it just feels like, we're not getting the rub of the green at all um so it was a clear foul kukarela on um on van de ven brings him down and the rule is obviously you can't give a penalty if the ball's not in play because it wouldn't make any sense to give a penalty in that moment you just you can't but according to some obviously they've done a lot of investigating into this that by the end of the challenge the ball had been kicked not when the challenge was started but by the end of the challenge on Cucurella sorry Cucurella on Vannevent that the ball was in play I don't I mean what what we're gonna argue we know we know if that is the case I'm not surprised what what are we gonna argue here yeah the referees were shits again it's just consistently help Arsenal in recent games and have consistently not helped Spurs do you believe in this sort of conspiracy Tin Hat theory kind of thing fucking always mate I know you've been the whole world the whole league is fixed I saw I saw Arsenal referred to as Varsenal earlier which was which amused me quite a lot the only way it makes sense is if the referee doesn't that Havertz tackle that's not it only Zabby Simmons has been sent off for that yeah that tackle's happened multiple times Romero did that 100 % red and we'd all be going of course Romero you idiot

24No, it was just symptomatic of our season really, just that not going our way then you're finding out in the little sod rules that the ball's not in play it's just fucking tiring, this season is just exhausting is it rigged? I'm not 100 % sure, but the fact that they've also not had a man sent off given that they're a physical team and they've not considered any penalties, I don't think. It's just fucking bizarre. And it could only be... They're probably going to change the rule next season where that would be a penalty. So that'll just be, you know, just another and a long line of new rules made post-burs, you know.

06That whole thing just didn't make sense to me. So is he saying that he didn't blow the whistle? Because if he doesn't blow the whistle, then Tell never takes the kick. So he's blowing the whistle, right? Let's just assume he's blowing the whistle. And then he's taken the corner and then there's a foul. It's just, they just, it's like Ricky said, they just make it up as they go along. And it just all, and I'm sorry, I just don't think it's a coincidence. It's always Tottenham at the bad side of it. It's like they wanted it to go to the last day because it's sexier and the title race is over. Right.

39Do you think, because we've been going back and forth on this. Do you think that they're, what they're they're sort of subconsciously informed to manoeuvre the game so that this narrative continues or I just don't I think people don't give a fuck about Tottenham people just don't give a shit even on commentary last night this is like oh it wasn't like a huge scandal like it was I was like that's ridiculous they were like oh well the Bulls don't play carry on it's like I just don't think people care if it's Liverpool Man United or even Arsenal it's a huge thing and they'd gone about it all week on Sky Sports News, but I think because it's Tottenham, it's just like, to shrug their shoulders and move on.

20And it's only us, really, that are sitting there going, no, like, no, we're seeing this every fucking week. Like, Howard Ware, that geezer, honestly, fucking incompetent. He has overseen, clearly, the worst sort of period of refereeing since I can remember. It's not just us, it's happening everywhere. And if, you know, you benefit from it, you're okay. if you don't benefit from it, then you're furious. I mean, like, we could have had a relegation, you know, Spurs, potentially, I mean, I don't think, I think we're going to get over the line, I'm going to get your thoughts in a second, boys, about what you think might happen on Sunday, but we could have a relegation decided by VAR not getting involved in the Madison penalty against Leeds the other day.

13which was a cert penalty or even if it wasn't a cert penalty it was almost certainly a conversation for var to have and give it due diligence in the way that does every other decision the fact it was cleared so quickly was it was weird like and that's that's why while i don't believe that there is a conspiracy of referees or cabal of referees that want to engineer a system that or have been sort of subtly subconsciously fed an idea that Spurs needs to go down. I 100 % very strongly disagree with that. But if anyone even remotely thinks that that might be a possibility, they look at that Madison penalty against or penalty shout against Leeds and for them not even to take a moment to actually look at what would happen.

05It was so, if there was a touch, it was so small that they couldn't have possibly seen in the 20 seconds that they cleared it. Because they've watched Matis Tell do an overhead kick and a player move into his kick. They've watched that for four minutes. They've watched the hand across Rea. It's just, it's crazy. The Tell one was bizarre because everybody on the ground saw it was a penalty. and I was at the other end I was at the other fucking end and I knew it was a penalty I presume everyone watching the home store was a penalty and they went over and over I mean if he gets to the ball first and the booze is the guy's head is that still not a penalty?

47It would still be a penalty I'd guess because it's still a dangerous play if what's high? If you see someone kicking and you put your head in the way if you manoeuvre your head in the way do you think that should be a penalty? I guess so I guess so it's a bit like to an extent it's a little bit of what Madison done with that penalty anyway he kind of manoeuvred himself in a way where the guy had to kick through him to get the ball it's just a case of just being smart and playing the system it's not fair but that's what people are doing yeah just apply the same level of attention to both things it may have been if you watched it slowed it down on VAR a million times it may be that the lad did get a touch on it maybe but the fact it was cleared so quickly it was like what why I want to go to Stockley Park I'm going to burn it down I want to burn it down with everybody in it Calum is around the corner he can do it do you I don't even know where Stockley Park is I couldn't tell you it's near Oxbridge yeah right Cal you have one job often we talk in the WhatsApp group about who has the least to live for I think given your proximity to Stockley Park then now it's you that has the least you've got no kids you've got a wife that's always there not confirming because she's there so so yeah yeah I mean what's you know set fires at Stockley Park yeah yeah make it look like an accident it's possible a bit of thought you were do you have the do you have the technicality to to make it look like an accident I know people I know people on the front of the sun arsonist get that done Callum the arsonist to do it to be fair I think I think the Premier League would all club together and pay for your bail anyway and give you the best lawyers everyone hates VAR even even people who benefit from it clubs the clubs want it that's the only people who want it it's not going anywhere so what can we what can we really do yeah I don't know if I said this on this podcast it's clear that everybody hates it so so that someone must want it right is it the Premier League that wants it maybe I don't know maybe it is them the Premier League actually have no authority other than enforcing the laws of the membership of the Premier League, i.e.

04if you get promoted into it or get relegated, you are subject to laws of the Premier League or not. And in return, if you agree to be subject to the laws of the Premier League, you'll get the£120 million payment. That's all they do. The actual rules that get agreed and implemented in football go down to the club. Clubs. Yeah. So, really, the only people that want VAR are 19 clubs in the Premier League minus Wolves who don't want it because they raised the vote. That's why they're bomb. That's why he ain't even given a free kick all season.

46Yeah, that's spot on, mate. Yeah, there is a conspiracy. You're right, it is corrupt. Yeah, it's fucking corrupt. that's why we're keeping our nut down not saying anything because you see on Twitter people are like why don't the club say anything about this we're keeping our nut down because they know what will happen next season if we say anything do not go against VAR fucking four points all season we'll be getting how funny is that Southampton thing they've not only been kicked out as they should they've admitted to spying on three other teams yeah and they've lost those games yeah we've lost it and now they've been kicked out of the playoff final and given four points for next season nice yeah that is nice they've got no ground to I mean they're going to try and appeal saying that other teams have had sanctions and it's not as bad as that but this is the richest game in the world I mean come on let's be serious yeah I can't remember what I was talking about anyway looking towards Everton we're going to do probably do another podcast on Friday looking towards Everton and a complete preview of the Spurs Everton game on Patreon.

51But, you know, it's massive, right? West Ham have to play Leeds. We know Leeds are a good side. West Ham aren't awful, but Newcastle tore them a new one for periods of that game. We go into Everton. How do you feel, boys? I mean, I know you feel terrible, but how do you feel it will go, I guess? I'm confident that we can get a result the only issue the only concern I have is that Everton have lost their last few games by either a late last minute spawning goal or a battering at home by Sunderland so you can imagine that they're getting a hairdryer treatment from Moyes all week and they'll have to put on some sort of performance to kind of end the season on some sort of high so there is a concern there but I think we should be able to get the result but I think it's important that we score first because if you don't score first, then I do worry because I think that front three can easily be shut out by their defenders.

51Speaking of their defenders, I've got to get this in there. Did you see Brodby's goal last week? Tarkovsky is fucking massive and he swatted him away like a fly. I don't want to mention I got a lot of heat when I defended him against, I defended him for the push on Romero. I just thought generally that's what you want from your centre forward you thought he played well he played really really well yes I was on that pod yeah I was on that pod with you and it was he played within the limits that he was allowed to play in the referee allowed him to get away with murders and so he played within those limits yeah and he didn't play well he's a nightmare the geezer's an absolute nightmare he's probably the strongest player in the Premier League maybe with Traore maybe but Brubby is fucking insanely difficult to defend against yes do we absolutely stink the place out 5-4-1 run it in the corners from the first minute I don't think we have it in us because we need to draw I don't think we have it in us what do we have in us nothing just go for the win I don't think we've got enough discipline within that within that team to to do what Cal is saying I mean we were 1-0 up against Leeds and kind of coasting and then told us that we were alright against Brighton and I don't know I mean I do understand to think to play a side if you get a goal that's fair enough but not to start the game out that way yeah they are five without a win Everton I think they've got two losses and I think it's three losses and two draws they're 12 they're not getting into Europe they should be on the beach really yes they are a classic team that's kind of on the beach World Cup's coming up they're going to have players that are going to I guess that are going to be going to that and you know saving themselves for that.

41If it's a team you kind of want to play, it is a team that's in mid-table and have nothing to play for, where we have absolutely everything to play for. So I... The Zerbi called it. He said he called this bigger than any trophy you could win. Yes. And there is that, isn't there? These players have won this trophy a year ago tomorrow. We won the Europa League a year tomorrow. but they will not be if the worst happens they will not be remembered for that they will be remembered for this they're playing with their own legacy here I don't know but you look at the who were the heroes from that is Van Leven he was still there and you think about Romero Madison and Son and say hero and Brendan Johnson of course it's club legend just have some respect please this is what I'm saying Even the greatest moment in our recent history was absolute fucking hell to endure.

42I hated that. I hated that game more than any game I've ever watched from Spurs. I can't tell you. Categorically, 93 minutes of that game was fucking hell. Hated it. Hated every single second of it. Hated it. Wish it wasn't happening. Wish I was anywhere else on the earth. And then the final whistle went and I was like, this is the greatest moment of my life. Yes. But doesn't that show you something about where Spurs have been recently? Is that even in our greatest moment, there has been 93 minutes of fucking hell before it. And this is what we're asking for on Sunday, is a win against Everton after 37 games of shit.

24A season of shit. And just one little glimmer at the end. It's like having a fucking massive car crash on the M4 and surviving. that's what this season has been I don't want to go for that I don't want to have the car crash I just want to drive along normally I want to what Spurs have been is we've we've gone into the back of a fucking petrol tanker and then we got out of it alive that's what this feels like so without a scratch without a scratch yeah and there's a there's a Toyota Prius with a West Ham family mangled to bits and we're running up to the windows going yeah fuck off you're gone to spit on them yeah come on I survived yeah sorry are we on the T are we on the pitch are we on the pitch Sunday if the best happens no no no no man mangled family mangle to bits I mean yeah fine so are you on the pitch if you if it goes well are we on the pitch T probably probably I mean I might be on the pitch even if we lose just you know try and I think you get on the pitch to throw a shoe at the fucking director's box yeah in all the chaos I'm going to try and get to Langer Is it celebration or is it like relief and then anger at the board?

40Yeah. They can't.

45We, you have nothing to do with the saviour of this football club this season. If we manage to stay up, it's because it's in spite of your decision. And when I'm thinking about this, I'm not, who are you thinking? I'm not thinking Langer. I'm not thinking Ben Katesham. I'm thinking the Lewis family. this is in spite of you you've created this Daniel Levy had gone into Daniel Levy had played a massive part in where we're at but this is down to the Lewis family fucking sell the club get out you're not wanted never come back never come back I have to ask so on Sunday right wouldn't it be fun wouldn't it be fun for us watching the game if we were like 1-0 down for ages and West Ham were like 4-0 up party pieces then the last kick of the game we equalise had to take up Dragerson Rocket Dragerson Rocket into the top bins gets his dick out just helicopters it what was your question before that I think the question is would you take that would you no no no it wasn't I remember specifically what you said what did you say wouldn't it be fun no nothing about that would be fun until the final minute that would be that would be the exact sort of in a microcosm of the season yes so no fuck you I don't want that I don't want that I want to go 2-0 up early I want them to break we'll break on them go 3 4-5 that's what I want yeah that's all I want West Ham are 3-0 down as well.

31Yeah, and then every single question needs to be aimed at the Lewis family. What are you going to do now? How do you prevent this? Are you qualified to prevent this from happening again? If you're not, fucking sell the club. And if you won't sell because you feel like there's an economic advantage to staying, then you need to be made as uncomfortable as possible if you decide to stay until you fix things. and employ people that can do the things that you can't do. I think it's not acceptable anymore. It's a fucking disgrace. As Madison said, this is a disgrace that we're even in this situation.

10An absolute embarrassment. And you've overseen that. You've overseen it. This is an embarrassment and it's your responsibility to fix it because it's your responsibility. And I appreciate Daniel Olivier as a part of this, but your responsibility for where we are. and fans, millions and millions of you fucking drain dry across the world. We're feeling it more than you are, I promise you. Mad though, if we do win and get a result, teasing me to fucking bopping down the road in a full Spurs tracksuit straight out of the club shop. Yeah, hang on. Be like Paulie Walnuts, mate. That's what I thought we looked at.

50I think everybody on the pitch cocks out, cocks out on the pitch. everyone trousers down just standing there you don't have to be touching your cock just let it hang it's just imagine that imagine that imagine that imagine 30 40 thousand people in there there'll probably be of that 40 ,000 on the pitch I'd say 95 % men all cocks just cocks everywhere dicks out if you're Premier League dicks out is there anything else you boys want to say before we wrap this up no No, just fucking come with your Spurs and get it done. Can I just say, T, you're looking fantastic. Thank you. It's been 500 days, booze free.

32But Spurs are testing me. How you've done that, I don't know. I don't really know. Cal, you always look fantastic. Well, you didn't always. When we met, I thought you was a bit gourmet. But now, mate, the glow up has been fantastic. Yeah, yeah, you have grown into it. Fantastic. Just hot dogs and Costco pizza. How you've done it, I don't know. Thanks for all the compliments, lads. All right, that's it from the Fighting Girl podcast. we'll be back I think we're going to do another episode on Friday and then everything's looking forward to Everton and then what will be will be right bye bye bye bye bye bye bye bye bye bye

Following another damaging defeat at Chelsea, we reflect on the wider psychological toll of supporting Tottenham Hotspur during one of the Club’s most turbulent seasons. We explore the long-term direction of Spurs under the current ownership, the impact of years of inconsistent football decisions, and whether Roberto De Zerbi can restore belief and stability ahead of next season.

We talk VAR controversies, the lack of attacking quality within the current squad, and the pressure surrounding the decisive final game against Everton. Despite the frustration, there remains cautious optimism that Tottenham can finally begin moving forward again.
