In short
Q&A episode focused on Tottenham Hotspur—transfer strategy, manager “pulling power” (De Zerbi/Ange comparisons), and squad planning—plus debate over Harry Kane’s future, England tournament performances, and individual player redemption arcs (Kinski, Spence, Romero, etc.).
Guests
Ben Bowman (co-host; frequent contributor). Main hosts/participants: Rick (host) and Ben; multiple listener questions read by Rick/Ben.
Key claims
Kane likely won’t return this season; he’s motivated by winning the Champions League and age concerns are raised. Tottenham’s recent recruitment is framed as financially and strategically aggressive, with De Zerbi given leeway and players allegedly convinced by his football vision plus wages. Romero is argued to be sellable due to suspensions/injuries and perceived commitment issues; Van de Ven/Van Hecke/Sanesi/Dansó are discussed as more reliable options.
Notable examples
Tonali and De Zerbi as recruitment examples; Spence’s England impact; Porro as the “starter” right-back archetype; Saliba/Gabriel cited as a stable CB pairing; Haseem Hassan praised for running/composure in Argentina’s match.

1:42It's the fighting. Cock. It's the fighting. It's the fighting. Cock. A camel, turn up. Hello and welcome to the Fine Club podcast. We've just recorded a podcast, but we were talking for so long that we didn't get to do any of the questions. So this is the Q &A podcast. Everyone at rkoisreddit, thank you very much for sending these questions in. Rick, I've got a bit of a dilemma here, Rick, because I've... Can I ask you a question? We do Lads Anonymous. Have you uploaded a Don't Listen for tomorrow already? Not yet. I do have one, but we can do... What have you got? Have you got something?
2:31Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel.
2:51What's that, Ricky? Oh, dear me. Go on, do you have an impression? someone's doing the impression of Daniel Levy larriping me well no you're doing the impression of you getting larripped yeah yeah yeah oh yeah that is it yeah Daniel Daniel Daniel Daniel come come
3:12love it Rick oh dearie me dearie me good good good let's do the questions then joined by Ben Bowman once again Ben Bowman's everywhere don't have to push it anymore Ben you're going on the Jamie Vardy podcast apparently yeah you should do that it's a good look I was a bit hesitant at first because I was like what does he want though is this a stitch up job this is what this is what I was thinking is it going to be 15-16 chat listen yes probably he is not organising the content of that show they are a producer you'll get to know what it is he probably just wants to talk about what's happening at Spurs I think it is yeah but this is a great opportunity to get one back on him yeah yeah Yeah.
3:53Relegated. Relegated twice, is it? I think so, yeah. Little Leicester, your fucking financial ruin. I love the fact that the football's now about understanding financials. Like, remove all of the romance out of the game. Let's just talk about revenues. Let's talk about all of the Jay-Z's coming to play at Spurs and the Arsenal. That's a win, isn't it? That's all right with Villa and Newcastle, by the way. Yeah. Well, I've got a question here, actually, from where is it? Squirrel Tree. G20 says, why did Tottenham do 9-11 a Villa fan? Probably. Yeah. Well, they're just blaming us about everything.
4:30I know. Everything that goes wrong. Oh, oh no.
4:36First question here, bum sniffer. So actually though, is Jay-Z playing Spurs rather than Arsenal flex? Not really. I think it's flexed if you want to. Just give us some more money. Yeah. Just take the money, yeah. Yeah. Bum sniffer, he says, it's a shoe week. Do you see Kane ever coming back to us? As an England and Spurs fan, I miss him. Hope you enjoyed the game Sunday night, Flav. That was a weird experience getting up and watching that game. Did you stay, did you go through, Ben? Pub. Yeah. Pub? What time pub? Got to the pub at half one. What was you doing before then? I went to see Wolf Alice at Fringery Park.
5:16They finished at like half nine because it was a Sunday gig because there's an earlier curfew. So they came on at like eight o 'clock, finished about half nine, and then just went back. What, you've been straight to the pub, pulled up? Nah. Nah. Not even, nah. Nothing? Just a few beers? Just a few beers, mate. What are you fucking, some sort of little girl? A few beers. A few Cornettos. Yeah. Done the job. I was fully flying on Cornettos. I'm not sure, I quite like Wolf Alice. They're actually local, they're Camden Town, aren't they? I think they're... Yeah, they're all... Basis to Goona though.
5:49I think she's Chelsea, actually, someone said to me. yeah fuck them but they're all Jeremy Corbyn used to think like he's alright he's sort of alright and he's I don't know much about him but he seems alright and then he's like he's walking around fucking Red and White's Craft singing North London forever fucking little scumbag run him over Starmer doing AFTV videos with Robert yeah run him over the van but no we just went back to our mates and then went to went to pub okay yeah I forgot why even I should it was good it was good I was flagging though in the I needed that first goal like Oh, you were starting to...
6:22I was standing outside and it was like watching the game at altitude because the telly was on the wall all the way up there and I was standing there just like...
6:32And then it was like when the first goal went in that was like, right. And then the second goal straight after and it was like, you're just awake. I fell asleep face down on my sofa at about half 11. I think it was the idea of staying up was much more difficult. It made things much more... I just, I needed to stay up and therefore my body was like, yeah, but we're not going to do that. We're going to go to sleep. And I'm like, yeah, but you don't fucking control me. It was actually quite annoying there was a really good game on first as well. Like Brazil and Norway that you then, I really want to watch that.
7:02So I watched that. I won't go to sleep. And then you've got what ended up being like, what, two or three hours before England kicked off with the delay as well. So it's like, for fuck's sake. Oh, mate, when it came through and said, yeah, we've got another hour. Don't worry, boys. You lot tired? Another hour. Why? Lightning strikes. Fucking, look, if there was a lightning strike hitting the ground during a game, that makes it more fun. Yeah. So don't worry about it. To be fair, that's probably the only thing that game was missing. Yeah, it's true. One of the best football games I've ever watched.
7:29Hands down. Unreal, wasn't it? It was just a wonderful game of football. Do you know how lucky I am? My wife woke me up at five to two and went, the game's on. And apparently I went, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop, whoop. That's the noise that came when she woke me up. I don't believe her, but she was cracking up. I was face down. She woke me up and went, the game's on. I'll never do that again. We are never having sex again.
7:58What did you say? What time is it now? What time is it? No, you didn't. You fucking said, what, what, what, what, what, what. Yeah, I was a weird experience, but truly one of the greatest experiences, the greatest football games I've watched certainly as an England fan I got into a lot of stick because I went to the England Slovakia game in Gelsenkirchen in Germany and I described the atmosphere in extra time when so so Bellingham had scored the scissor kick that equalised and we went on and we scored in the second half the atmosphere was as good as any I've ever been a part of at any football stadium and you saw the atmosphere in in the end with you know the players celebrating with the fans and stuff It's incredible.
8:41I don't know what's happened in terms of the work that Southgate's done and to bring the players together. And now the kind of fans and players are together. And we kind of love everything that's going on. And even the press are kind of on board as well. It's a weird, weird situation. We're definitely going to win the World Cup, 100%. Yeah, 100%. Right, so what else we got? So the question was, did you see Kane ever coming back? Spurs, Rick. it was even now or never I think because it looks like he's going to sign a new contract yeah I don't know actually you can see maybe a little bit yeah I can but at this like this this season no we've got no Champions League football he's getting on he is in it to win the Champions League for like for his career which is you know I get that so maybe next season but then after next season I don't know how he's going to be is time going to catch up with him it just doesn't seem to be affecting him at all the geezer is un-fucking-real I'd love him to come back obviously but do you think he's better now than he was when he left Spurs?
9:57no no I don't are you saying that to Spurs fans or why not because obviously he scored 72 goals in one season Ronaldo had never done that no so he must be better than or is it just he's playing against well no he's playing against fucking farmers absolute muck in Germany and like it annoyed me when what's her face said it on ITV she was like oh you can see I can't remember her name now Laura Woods remember if it was a man no not Laura Woods the no the the one he's like actually tactically really good really good Emma Hayes yeah Emma Hayes right so the greatest female manager in the history of the game you couldn't remember her name Rick yeah that's right what do you want me to do about it I don't remember it I don't I don't I don't I don't I don't you see me yes sorry Rick yeah carry on and she was saying oh he's a lot better player he's gone to buy me and he's playing with better players He's doing this.
11:09He's doing that. He's always been fucking doing it. He's always been dropping deep. He's always been looking for the ball. He's always done scored headers, left foot, right foot. Do you know what I mean? So it's just because he's at Bayern and he's got a bit of a bigger platform. I don't think he is a better player personally. I mean, there might be parts of his game that he's slightly improved, but it's not to the point where it's like you're watching him play and you're like, he never did that at Tottenham. That goal against Congo, we've seen him do it as a person. Yeah. Yeah. And it was great.
11:45Yeah. But I've seen that before. I think the reason he's getting that kind of PR now is because we know that obviously Tottenham does mental things to people and people don't want to give him the credit he deserved when he was here because we were just a bit of a meme and all that shit. And people said he was a big game bottler despite scoring against every Premier League team he ever played against, the highest ever score in North London derbies. They're not big games apparently. I think he did need like a a game like that for England though to be fair like I think he hasn't stepped up maybe for England in a tournament in the way that he maybe has this summer like I know obviously got the golden boot in 2018 but half of them were against Panama and one two were penalties and one come off his fucking ankle like this is he is doing it now more for England than ever and I think maybe part of that is like you look at Bellingham and Kane they've played a lot less minutes than anybody else in that team as well it's not as intense league in the Bundesliga eager, they can rest him, they can take him off.
12:36I think you'll see the benefit of that now for England, but he's always been this good. Bellingham not playing huge amounts of football for Real Madrid is a godsend. My shift on how I feel about Bellingham needs to be studied. I've gone from being indifferent to, you know, just thinking like he's a future England captain. He's the best player I've ever seen for England. Hands down. Not bad than Kane. Not bad than Rooney yet. I don't know. When you look at what he's done in tournaments, he's getting there he eclipses the midfielders yeah it's then Kane or Rooney but he eclipses all the midfielders 100 % what's your mum done in tournaments you were sorry what did you say I asked you a question I didn't hear you what's your mum done in tournaments depends what tournament club tournament I was going to say poker tournaments she got poked that would have been better much less crude funnier yeah she's actually an incredible bridge player yeah got a question here from overchip7613 says if you could sign one player purely for the sake of rattling all the other fans in the league who it is right don't answer after three on four we'll all say the name of the player that would rattle other fan bases the most oh hang on a second hang on you don't have to get it right well no I can't even think of anyone alright me and Ben go yeah go on three no one two three Morgan Rogers 100 % don't even really need it don't want him he's alright he's decent he's alright I'd rather see medicine play see what happens look Matt just put in a 43 million pound bid in just put it in you need the money you need the cash yeah yeah you boys need we don't have to sell we don't have to sell We don't have to sell.
14:33Yeah, it would be Morgan Rogers. Yeah. Just imagine we did put a bid in for him just for fucking... Shits and gigs. Yeah. Or Bruno G. Imagine that. Daniel. Daniel. Daniel. Daniel. Daniel. Daniel. Come. Come. Come. Come. Daniel. Daniel. Daniel. Daniel. Daniel. Daniel. Oh. All right. Good. So good. More from that later. Yeah, we don't even need him, but just bid in, like just bid 43 million. Let's just send them loopy. Send them absolutely loopy.
15:10Ninja Cafe says, has there ever been a Spurs manager with this much pulling power? I know Ange had some, but this is, but is this because Italians are sexy and Australians?
15:23It's clear that they're talking to the manager. It's clear that it's because, like Tonali could have earned the money he's earning at Spurs maybe anywhere else he gets into every team in the Premier League you understand who we've signed we've signed Tonali you would get into Man City's midfield get into Arsenal's midfield Liverpool but he's come to Spurs because we're now massive and moreover he's come to Spurs because we chose to or agreed to bring in De Zerbi yeah yeah if you're a small business owner, you'll know just what it's like to be the chief everything officer. HR, payroll, employee benefits.
16:03Well, Gusto can do all of that for you. Gusto is online payroll and benefits software built for small businesses. It's all in one, remote friendly and incredibly easy to use. Download the app today and use code CUP26 to get$50 instantly in lineups when you play your first$5. PrizePix, America's number one sports picks app. I'm just trying to think, like, if you're talking about Ange, and Ange got quite a few deals over the line from speaking personally to the player, telling him how he's going to use them and stuff like that.
17:49But it's a different caliber of player. and if you're saying like if Andrew's at Tottenham now Tonali was available would Ang be able to convince Tonali to come to Tottenham? Also at that time would we offer him the wages? No. Would we even put a bid in? No. He's out of reach. He's clearly out of reach. You're right Rick. It's not about the pulling power of the manager it's giving the manager of what he needs in order to be convincing. Like being Deserby isn't enough. Giving the players the money they want to earn is enough. On top of Deserby. The way the different, not Tottenham, players, coaches, students of the game, whoever, the way that they talk about Deserby is like, he's not won anything in comparison to Guardiola or anyone like that.
18:50But he is held in that regard. People talk about him like that, don't they? How he plays football, how he wants to play football, how he is absolutely just kind of, he just thinks about football 24-7. And it's that type of manager, I think, everyone around the club is like, we want De Zerbe. He comes with this massive reputation, innovative football, playing style and stuff and once we've got him through the door and they've probably seen how energetic he is how infatuated he is with football and everything that comes around it they're probably like yeah we've we've absolutely made the right decision here let's give him what what he wants and that's why we're ready to kind of go to war with any player and get them yeah yeah it's creating an environment where yeah and we've obviously promised to Zerbi in fact I've been told some information that the Zerbi has a lot of leeway at Tottenham.
19:51Oh. Have you heard that as well, Ben? No, I think I heard it from you. Oh, right. Okay, good. Good. See, that's how you... So if he hears something from me, he says he hears it from me, he doesn't have to pretend to have ITK. Yeah, where did you get it from, though? The sauce.
20:10Right, Rick, I've got another question for you. Oh, good. Can we get Ricky's dad on the pod? get him in preferably before he's had a full Turkish I mean I just think that would go should we get both our old men on the pod do you know I've always wanted to do something like that to hear their stories your dad listens to his podcast so he knows about the Daniel Levy stuff at Watford Gap yeah yeah he listens to he listens to all of lads on the most fighting cock everything happy birthday mate thank you he is what is he 71 74 74 today yesterday uh yeah 74 yesterday doesn't matter at their age does it no whatever whenever it is uh but thank you for giving the world and the listeners of this podcast Ricky Fee great oh no yeah no a give and a take away government name does it matter now you don't even have a job anymore thank Christ I'll have to edit that out uh um walker share 14 says as we are now spending loads of cash like we don't give a fuck what's the most lavish thing you've ever bought and either did or didn't feel guilty about or didn't tell anyone about quiz quiz quiz quiz quiz quiz quiz i mean i once gave someone a friend of mine money so that he could then sleep with the prostitute oh that's incredibly honorable and i never got it back that's just yeah i don't know it's just a it's senseless waste well for him it's i'm sure he had a great time but for me it's a complete waste of money I'm giving you money and that's going off a prostitute's vagina yeah and it's my money literally spunking money away you got anything to add there boys it's quite a random one I don't know I'd probably no not really I don't have not like yeah not extravagant but I did go through some fucking mad phase of just buying every single uh Karcher product that's ever lived and and they're all in my loft I don't use them like Karchers to clean my sofa like a pressure washer and all that you know the jet washers to clean my sofa to clean the windows all these different gadgets you don't even wash your armpits why do you know that I know men are class men are class just buying just buying loads that is senseless waste senseless waste I feel like that the only time I feel like that is if I buy like a Leon or something or a Pret-a-Monger I'm just like that's where I feel like I'm being a bit more lavish than I won't feel guilty about buying clothes I feel guilty about oh should I really be buying a sandwich and a flat white from Pret-a-Manger is that a senseless waste make one at home when I used to work no not the same you can't you can't make a flat white at home it doesn't matter if you've spent four grand on a coffee machine you can see this I'm talking to Nick Drugs Nick who's listening to this who loves his coffee bullshit I mean I'm sure you love coffee you can't tell listen to me nick i know you're listening to me you're listening to me wherever you are if you're riding your stupid little fixie bike or in your van whatever you're doing right you if i gave you a copy a cup of starbucks flat white and you made one and i just mixed them all together not not in each other's cups but i just swapped it around you wouldn't be able to tell in fact i think you'll like the starbucks better i have no idea why i've attacked nick and that That will really irritate him.
24:00I don't know where that's come from or what. No one's benefited from that. The listeners of the podcast haven't benefited. Just me, this weird little thing. I know that I'm winding him up and I'm not there. Okay. Who has had the greatest redemption arc? Kinski, Spence or Langer? I think Langer's head is on the chopping block. I still think that he's going to be out. Yeah, I think it's Deserby and what's the guy from City that came in? Yeah, he's a head of football operations or whatever. I think I go by his nickname. Rafi Rafi yeah Rafi yeah do you want to try and spell his surname no no I don't just try I don't even know what his surname is no I couldn't tell you this is good though this is good Rick so you have no idea what his surname is no Rafi but try and spell it no just give it a go IT okay yeah right Mawson or something like that is it Rafi Mawson Mawson that's correct I saw I think Jay Harris from The Athletic was saying last night that he's been like incredibly influential behind the scenes like since he came in and this summer like in terms of shaping things towards a big club.
25:09like speaking up in meetings and stuff and going for fuck's sake. Do you mind if I just pop in Rafi with something? Just repeat the exact point but just says it a little bit different. I was thinking the same thing actually. Yeah, I was thinking Tonali. Yeah, Fernandes. He's good actually. Yeah. But on that one of Langer's signings was Kinski. Kinski and Spence who's had the greatest redemption arc Kinski yeah just because he was dead and buried whereas Spence it was a bubbling up there's some some reports that Spence could potentially be of attraction to Everton and they're sort of splitting the group about what most people like some people said don't sell him it strikes me as an opportunity I don't know where this new cutthroat sort of position that I've put myself in but I'm like if someone comes in for 40 million for Spence, I don't think you can't not sell him.
26:04Because that money is going to be reinvested and some. I like Spence. It is, but then where do you buy another player that is Premier League ready, can play both sides, and comes with all the attributes that Spence already has? Correct. It's 40 million pound and that opportunity to spend further. Does that offer us more? Will that push us forward more than what Spence currently offers to the squad and needs utility? I don't know the answer. Probably not. Probably not with the way that we're moving outside of that deal anyway. Like the business that we've already done and still can do without having to push for a sale like that.
26:40I think it's tough because Spence, I don't think is, I think I said this in the group yesterday, I think he's not like the archetypal deservedly fullback. I think that is Porro. Like Porro will play every game next season in touchwood if he doesn't get injured, which, you know, he's had a good record so far. He's had a really good World Cup as well, Porro. And he does a lot more on the ball and, you know, invert into midfield. But then again, with what he was talking about in the last pod about like safe pair of hands to come off the bench with Spence's ability. You saw what he did for England the other night and the thing is if he does keep doing that for England, especially with the right-back problems that we've got furthered now by Quants getting sent off, there's a chance he starts against Norway at full-back if James still isn't fit and then if he continues to have those impacts throughout the tournament because he's not, even the first few games, people were getting on to him but like, he wasn't having a bad tournament by any stretch.
27:26He's fine. He's fine. He's got loads of stick. His head went a little bit, but they all did. After we conceded that first goal, I think everyone's heads just went and we needed that first drinks break. And Spence was a part of that, but he, like most of me, recovered absolutely fine throughout the game. Was decent going forward. I think with Spence is that if his stock continues to rise in the way that it does and he isn't seen as a starter, maybe he might start to go, I'm better off going somewhere else where I'm actually going to play every minute of every game. Now we've got Robertson as well on that side to cover it.
27:56left back you've got Soza yeah you've got Porro he's back up right back yeah but again it's like what we're talking about with Bergvall like I know there was a limitation to Spence's game but maybe De Zerbe can coach that into him a little bit and if Porro does get injured then you might Spence with actual runner games being trusted to play in that way you never know but I wouldn't proactively look to sell him at all but if they came up with an offer you can't really turn down if his value continues to rise throughout the tournament then game's a game Redemption art though is Kinski right Topical Possum he says I know Romero splits opinion in the fan base I think more would sell than keep especially given the last day's antics the poor performance suspensions last season but having some had some good performances at the World Cup scoring some crucial goals and just overall helping lead his side do you think we keep him and hope De Zervi brings out the very best or do we use the World Cup as an advert to try and cash in with perhaps some added value after the last few games and reinvest elsewhere cheers good question boys who was to go first go on Ricky he's having a decent World Cup he has you know scored as well crucial goal it's for Argentina though and I just feel like he puts he just shifts to a different level for them and that's not saying he didn't play well at Tottenham and I think he's an excellent player but there's one part is for me that he's card is marked now in the premier league and anytime that he makes you know a slightly more aggressive tackle altercation whatever it might be he'll just get sent off and we can't be having a player that is supposed to be playing at the heart of our defense coming in and out due to suspensions also he's quite injury prone and i just kind of like I want to see a consistent centre-back pairing and to play a good run of games, to strike up a relationship.
30:02You know, like, I hate to say it, Saliba and Gabriel, you know, they were a force for the Gooners. And I would like to see us building something towards something a bit more consistent and stable like that, rather than Romero being suspended, injured, whatever it might be. But it's a hard one. And, you know, he's our, currently he's our club captain. You know, towards the end of the season where it was our last game and it appeared that he wanted to go back to Argentina to see his boyhood club, Belgrano, I think it was, to win the league for the first time in their history. And, you know, everyone else stayed here to make sure to support the lads.
30:47There's all that stuff. And I just kind of feel like... But that to me is the most important thing. Yeah. Yeah. that was the moment I was like fuck him yeah same yeah same I've always stuck up for him and always kind of like because I think he exists in a bit of a space where we maybe overrate him a little bit when he has a good period or good games but I think a lot of that comes because we're bucking against the trend of people outside of that who just say he's shit and he's reckless and he's rash and all that kind of stuff where it did become a lazy narrative I think around Romero but then what he has done since well certainly in the last sort of six months or so has really not helped his case in that regard and I just think that as much as I still think he's a top centre-back on his day I just think I would probably just rather go into the season with Van Hecker Van Deven and Sanessi and then Danso and just especially with Van Hecker has played under Zerbi as well and he's a very good like for like replacement might not be as good as Romero can be but I just want something like Ricky said something more reliable I think that's what we all want Is he going to be comfortable knowing that Van Hecker is number one on his side?

31:51I just don't see any... We haven't bought Van Hecker for him to be back up to Romero. We bought him to start. Yeah. If there's an option to sell Romero, the value will never be as high as it is right now. He doesn't really care about us. It doesn't seem to be. The fact that he just disappeared to Brazil when we were about to get relegated, it doesn't matter how good you are. You've shown where your interests lie, which is fine. It's absolutely fine. Find out where he lives. 400 mates wanting to go on a fucking 74-year-old lady who's done nothing but be nice to people for having never had a drink in her life, never smoked anything. 37:15Masala says Berval is our little blonde bitch but who is our little brunette bitch Harry Winks was definitely the original but who takes the mantle now probably Archie Gray isn't it yeah Colby yeah yeah couple more Headcut says would a player like Egypt's Hasim Hassan benefit Spurs? Ricky on to you over to you mate over to you mate yeah he would he had a great game against Argentina yeah good what was good what did you like about him? just his running just running on that pitch running like a gazelle received the ball well yeah yeah laid it off yeah scored a goal as well didn't he? I enjoyed his yeah I enjoyed his composure on the ball yeah composure it's almost like you had a little bit more time than everyone else on the pitch which is so good how easy it is to bullshit your way I don't even know who you just said who is he who is it he was one of the guys it was him he was the one that was crying at the end saying it's not fair I think they all were weren't they that was a bit of a fucking yeah just fucking grow up a lot of it yeah I will say this there was a shoot that um i was on it was a snickers shoot and it was about five six years ago and it was me it was james alcott it was rory jennings and it was robbie love from af tv and they threw a question to robbie and it was clear it was clear to all of us none of us knew who this player was and watching robbie scramble around trying to find the right things to say like we've just done with Haseem Hussain.
38:59Haseem Hussain. Just to say the right thing, just throw out some cliches and you can do it. People will believe you. It doesn't matter. And it just goes to show what this podcasting lark is all about. It's just loads of people spouting bullshit, pretending they know something more than you guys listening at home. We don't. We don't know anything. None of us do. Apart from Ricky and his ITK. I was just about to say it. Thank you. He knows. But all of us, every podcaster under the sun is blowing smoke. He's talking bullshit. I promise you, you've got to do it in an entertaining way. Yeah, exactly.
39:35That's the key. Can I ask a quick question? Yeah. Any free Snickers? It was the first time I ate a Snickers and the last time I ate a Snickers in my entire life. And I've got to say, you're actually all right. Yeah, yeah, good. You know, you like, you're a big fan of ice creams, Ben. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Where do you rate, what is your top three ice creams to eat? do you want to join in Snickers ice cream is fucking excellent a Mars one I think it just tops it for me what you got nuts in there though yeah true but so are Snickers no Snickers has got nuts Mars hasn't alright so it's better that it has nuts yeah are we talking a god tier of ice creams are we talking Mars ice cream and Snickers ice cream where do you put magnums where do you put I like a magnum do you yeah it's what we don't fucking like not really no no what about like so Magnum it used to be when I was a kid like Magnum was like the that was God tier yeah what about a Salero and a Twister yeah good for holiday I think or the hot weather a Calipo as well was not bad oh rain mini milk yeah oh yeah not had one I don't think I've had one since I was a kid I'll tell you what I'll get the have you ever had one of the round trees watermelon ones it's like a little triangle of watermelon with beer like oh they're fucking they are real they are class yeah so yeah if you haven't had them get on them mint cornetto obviously is up there underrated does the job I don't know why people hate on mint ice cream I don't get it there's a new one knocking about as well the Biscoff one oh yeah it's fucking tidy yeah fuck me that is tidy that's a good bit of kit that that is good weed yeah it is different gear isn't it alright a couple more questions to finish this podcast off he says did Flav fingering Thomas Frank lead to his eventual downfall it nearly did mine yeah I told you about this lost so not so much a chunk of money you did it for the greater good though when I was tweeting when I was putting the tweet together which is much more than just copy and pasting what I'd done previously there was a moment I first sent the first one the Dybala tweet about meeting him in a hotel room and he drags me in there into the toilet and fingers me and says top until I die right that But when I first posted that, I had much less responsibility and people didn't necessarily know or didn't care who I was.
42:02They probably don't anyway, but do you know what I'm saying? So when I posted that, I was like, this is well funny. People are going to love that. And it was fine. Five years later, under Thomas Frank, six years later, I was like, should I post this? I'm too old to be posting shit like this. And I posted it and lo and behold, I was correct. Shame. It is a good joke though. It's just a joke. Yeah, it is a good joke. Just chill out. Chill out. It's a good joke. Good joke. It's a good joke. Good joke. All right, we're starting to flag it, boys. So I'm going to wrap this up after this question. Justin Bisou says, will you enter the Goldbridge-Jennings feud as a surprise heel?
42:40I don't know what they're arguing about. Yeah, I've not seen that. No. What else we got? Do you reckon someone should get a flag for the Hoffenheim game or the first game of the season just with Goldbridge's tweet about Mateus Fernandes on it about what was it trying to take a puppy trying to take food from a lion or something like that yeah trying to take a bone someone's got to get that on a flag or like a sticker or something yeah that was brilliant Trevor Noel says what the fuck do you say at the beginning of every pod what do I say are you talking about the jingle yeah must be what does he say Ricky
43:21I don't know which part is it yeah oh no he's the NBA he's doing this for 15 years yeah I know it's the NBA I'm trying to think of the come on Tottenham yeah come on Tottenham yeah it's not me it's my little brother he recorded that literally about 17 years ago how mad it is isn't that hard to understand for Americans I think it is oh man yeah it's just interesting notice that loads of people have
43:53downvoted all these questions a couple of people that still do not like us I don't know what this is why don't you fucking grow up buddy material scene this is the last question I don't know what it is it's got minus three downvotes so it might be bad I don't know what it is this is how we're going to end Flav are you and the boys enjoying the uneasy feeling that All the other cocksuckers can't help but display over our super duper dealings, Pat. We're freaked down, folks. I'm going to give them one up. Give them one up. It's fine. How are we feeling? I'm feeling fucking on top of the world. I'm feeling this is about as good as I can feel without a ball being kicked.
44:34I'm not talking about winning the transfer window. We've done that a couple of times. This is different. We've got Deserby. We've got genuinely players we've brought in that improve us in four or five sections of the pitch. It's not about, you know, enjoying an uneasy feeling. This is about how far can we go next year. The Premier League is in flux. Arsenal are in a position where they've won the league. How motivated are they going to go again? Now that the referee in has changed and you can't hold in the box and their ace card is removed from them, what exactly will they have? lots of players missing for the start of the season as well lots of players playing a lot of minutes at the World Cup Saliba apparently surgery Saliba surgery?
45:22apparently on his back yeah what dead? after the season yeah that's what they're saying okay window of opportunity at the start of the season is all I'm saying build a lead all the England players all the international players not going to be available until October that's what I mean did you say that did you? no not October I don't know if it's October but first month maybe first international break that was quite it October late October I think November I heard late before Christmas if they're lucky yeah yeah that is an advantage that we've done with the business that we've like being as aggressive I think Ali Gold said it the other day that our first signing last summer came on the 12th of July which was Kudus and it's now the 9th of July which signs six players and also none of them at the World Cup yeah we grabbed the transfer market by the back of the neck haven't we yeah we've just had our way with it we've set the tone yeah look at all the other teams scrambling around now
46:35that's literally what we're doing alright this is the end of the Q &A podcast I'm just going to leave you with this.
46:45I knew that was coming. Not the only thing coming. Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel. Oh, Daniel, Daniel, Daniel. Come, come, come, come. Daniel, Daniel, Daniel. Sorry, Daniel.
