In short

Tottenham Hotspur season talk and Q&A—league expectations, match outlook (Everton/Forest), transfer-window fallout (Richarlison), injury-management debate, and fan stories from away days. They also discuss whether Tottenham should be awarded titles if Chelsea were stripped for cheating, plus broader squad/young-player scrutiny (Archie Gray).

Guests/backgrounds

This is a Q&A-style episode with two main hosts (Ricky and another host, plus occasional mentions of “David Hintner,” “Alistair Gold,” and “Sean Cray” as sources/people). No formal guest list; most “guests” are callers/users quoted from questions.

Key claims

  • Chelsea cheated via undisclosed agent fees (~£47m over Abramovich era), received only a £10m fine and a suspended transfer ban; hosts argue titles should be stripped or nullified.
  • Richarlison is left out of De Zerbi’s 25-man squad, possibly considering legal options to exit his contract; he’s stuck in limbo and can’t play.
  • De Zerbi’s substitutions at ~60 minutes are framed as medical/resilience protection, not anger.

Notable examples

  • Pochettino quote about being open to help Tottenham “in whatever division.”
  • Spurs’ “Seville away” police violence story (2006/07 Europa).
  • Ronnie Rosenthal “Rocket Ronnie” hat-trick vs Southampton (6-2 after extra time).

It's the fighting. Cock! Oh, come on, shut up! I've just sat down and Ricky's waiting for me and he's eating an apple and he just said to me, imagine you just caught me to these words to these effects watching porn while eating an apple what? wanking, just admiring, I wasn't turned on at all proper flaccid, just watching porn because it's like a TV program or something just watching it like you'd watch it watch sopranos

1:32really good one this

1:37uh do you ever go back to the same video what porn wise yeah no i used to back in my youth but not anymore no fair um so welcome back to the fine cock everybody good how are you yeah all good mate all good i mean like we've i know it's the beginning of the season but uh and we're out of europe this kind of rhythm of one game a week yeah it's like not enough is it no and especially when you're not winning it's like come on we need to get rid of this feeling oh yeah it's it's not enough and but weirdly you want more even though even though largely it's a painful experience sure yeah i did remember during the very dark times that thomas frank hating the fact that there'd be a game every three days i've never hated watching foot watches watch spurs as much as i hated watching thomas frank's tottenham yeah yeah terrible wasn't it yeah it was but weirdly i'm still kind of actually you know when it's the depths of winter and you go outside it's four o 'clock and it's pitch black and you've got to go down to tottenham and it's freezing You're like, I don't want to do this.

2:51I know we're going to lose. Just, this is shit. I just don't want that anymore. What's the greatest period you can think of in recent times watching Spurs? Wow, now that is a fucking question. Are we talking league? I'm saying, yeah, like the most recent time where you felt fantastic about your football club. Europa League final. All right. That's obvious. Let's remove that. Yeah, not like an explosive moment like that. I'm for general contentment. Probably the 10 games under Ange. Yeah. Before that, though. Oh, God. Trying to get to a point. In any way, could it be the 2016-2017 season? Yeah, probably.

3:44Yeah. Most definitely, yeah. Good. because Pochettino did an interview today, didn't he? He did, yeah. I was reading some of the quotes from it earlier. Have you got them to hand? I haven't, no. Good. I was watching porn. Stop. Turned off the... Stop reading the interview just to watch a bit of porn. The most interesting thing, he said, I'm always open to help. Tottenham in whatever division. And was that, when was that? That was today, right? David, David Hintner interview. Every time he does an interview, he talks, and I suppose he's getting fed these questions and he answers them honestly, but it just, it just talks about Spurs.

4:38Like he talks about wanting to come back and like, and, and apparently there were conversations with him about taking over Tottenham before the Zerbi. It's laying the groundwork, isn't it? For eventually coming back. He knows it's going to happen. We know it's going to happen. Why? And I'm not saying I'm not in any way unhappy with the Zerbi and I completely can intellectualise for myself the reasons why we're not playing very well in the start of the season. But it seems like such a... It seemed like if they had him there, it's such a tap-in. I mean, there was a World Cup, and that perhaps was why it didn't happen, because he's obviously the manager of the US.

5:23But for twice now, when we hired Thomas Frank, before we were singing Pochettino's name in the stadium, and then now there was conversations. It just feels inevitable. But I asked you about the 2016, 2017 season. It's actually the next season that he was talking about, actually, but he mentioned the fact that they should strip Chelsea of the title and give it to Tottenham. Yeah. And I got a question from Sean Cray and he sent this to loads of people. Okay. Mixed response. It says, if Tottenham got awarded the 2017 title, uh, I think it's 2017, 2018 actually, and got all of the players and potch on a bus for the parade, would there be a big turnout?

6:12And would you go, i think the only turnout i'd be making was in my pants you wouldn't embarrassment no would you not lean into it a little bit so so one of the responses he had from a mate of his was i was from billy t he says fuck yeah i'd go i'm totally shameless

6:34uh it wouldn't mean anything to me no i i kind of feel like if you like there's parts of leaning into something whereby it's like a playful nature or just getting a reaction from your rivals or something yeah but then a whole bus and parade is fucking mental what what numbers would turn up do you think so we had around 200 and 200 000 for the euro per league I would it can't be it can't be similar to that no way no I reckon 10 ,000 would turn up

7:21and the reality of this situation is we know categorically that Chelsea cheated during the period they cheated their way to so people don't know Chelsea when they self-admitted, if you like, when Bluko came in, they decided to disclose the fact that Abramovich, June Abramovich's period, I think it was like a six-year period, they paid to the sum of£47 million in undisclosed fees to agents to ensure that they got certain players to come the door which led them to win in at least one or two league titles maybe three can't remember exactly i mean they won under him but um but the players that come in were like eden hazard it was william uh i can't remember a couple more like the players that could integral to them winning the winning the league um and they they categorically cheated to get there and the the kicker here is because admittedly it's not Blueco's fault because they weren't in any way connected to Chelsea when this stuff was happening.

8:38But the fine was£10 million and a suspended transfer ban. And you're like, that's the punishment for disrupting the entire integrity of our league. It just doesn't feel right. So that's now? What do you mean it's now? When was the transfer ban? It's suspended. So if they commit another, if they get caught doing something wrong, then that ban then comes into effect. Oh, fucking hell. They already served one transfer ban. Give them another one. Give them loads. Give them a five-year transfer ban. It's genius. It's despicable what they did, really. do you um is that some kind of stuff that you hold close to your chest when you have to talk to rory yeah i i have put him on the spot about it i've tried to and he just doesn't care yeah which is quite difficult because you need it you need them to care about what you're saying but they felt all the emotions of winning something they felt the emotions of winning the European Cup.

9:50The fact that they did it by some backhanded payments just doesn't, it's not going to change the experience of having it. Like they should 100 % strip them of all these titles. If they did strip Chelsea of those titles and awarded it to us and we had like an asterisk next to our name or whatever it would be, they would feel no different. They would probably laugh at the fact that, oh, you've won a title because for default or whatever. So it wouldn't matter to them anyway. They still live that period of winning the title. I don't think they have to award it to anybody else. They should just strip them.

10:30Null and void it for everyone. Hold on here, Kerry. No, no, no, no. No, just Chelsea. Just give it to us. We won't gloat about it, but just say... I don't want it. When Squire Sports talk about it and everyone else... No, no, no. They just say when they talk about the Premier League era, they have to include the name Tottenham Hotspur in it. That's all I'm saying. That's all I want. Yeah. Yeah, fair enough. Okay, good. Did you see Richarlison is threatening to, I guess, would you sue or take legal action against Tottenham to get out of his contract? Wow, really? Yeah. Did you not read this? no no i only saw that um news of the saudi transfer um deadline has gone and i think and i think he's only left with the brazil one and there's a couple of brazil clubs that are interested yeah vasco and flamingo and uh but he doesn't want that he wants to be a free agent so because there's a free agent you can sign you're you're exempt from the window, aren't you?

11:46You can sign for anyone. Right, I get it. Alistair Gold wrote this, Richarlison's Tottenham situation remains a mess with the striker considering legal options that could include ripping up his contract as the Brazilian transfer window edges towards its conclusion. 29-year-old is currently stuck in limbo in North London and have been left out of the Zerbe's 25-man squad for the Premier League so he's unable to play. Spurs could only name 17 non-homegrown players in the registered with the league, which cannot be changed until the next transfer window. So it's a strange decision. Even if they thought they absolutely were convinced he was going to be sold, and that fell through.

12:27But to not name him and name Xavi Simons, who won't even be able to be fit till next year. When it came out and he wasn't in the squad, I didn't mind it because I just assumed he's lining up a deal. Yeah. Less than a year left on his contract. I just can't see I couldn't see a world where Richarlison doesn't move and he's like like we see he's just stuck in stuck in limbo you can't do anything with him now he's just gonna have to sit there he's not training with the first team either yeah I mean what's the what would be the point I know there was part of me that was like right well this is your chance to kind of like show like okay those transfers fell through I'm out of the pecking order and then there'll be a point where he can maybe get featured or that he can score a couple of goals and he'll fall back in favour with De Zerbe.

13:25But then I was like, he's not even been fucking named, so he can't even play. He's not part of it. What's he going to do? Well, I don't know. I mean, the only thing I can think of is that there was like, we agreed to rip up his contract, which is fine because he can kind of sign for someone for free in January anyway. So just get it done now. And then, you know, your wages are off. His wages are off the books. And there's just no point in holding him down. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I see what you mean. Yeah. Yeah, he's playing with the under-21s at the moment or at least training with them. And it's Friday that the window closes tomorrow.

14:08Oh, fucking hell. Yeah, so. He's had a mare. Yeah, he has had a mare. I feel bad for him though because like. Yeah, he's not bad. It's ended quite terribly. Yeah. And the relationship's frayed and you know. How would you rate the transfer out of 10? What do you mean? 10 being a super successful transfer, like say. Well, I can't figure one. what our whole transfer window no no just the signing of a charlatan over the last five years oh fucking hell six yeah he has had moments seven yeah I'll give him seven seven I wouldn't give him seven six would do yeah okay I felt bad for him I don't want to kick him while he's already down kick him when he listens to this kick him while he's down so it is the Q &A Thursday podcast yes Yes.

15:09And we'll start off with... Oh, no, we've already answered this. Lone Chocolate says, thoughts on Poch's comments about us being awarded.

15:21Username says, it would be a bit embarrassing if that happens. To be fair, we would get ripped to bits by winning it in a default, but they did cheat, so I get why he's pissed.

15:34Jock Bowl says, will we score a goal against Everton of why the fuck can't we score goals. Do you think it's coming, Rick? Yeah, for sure. For sure. And I feel like we will be more attacking at home against Everton. Forest is a difficult place to go, especially as we've just lost two. If we lose a third, the pressure is heaped on. if we come away where we've played all right in patches, where we were in control for quite a lot of it. And I can't remember the possession, but there seemed to be like big spells where we were the team in possession and pushing forward. That coming away with a draw isn't that bad.

16:23Considering, didn't we go there last season and lose 3-0? We lost 3-0 home and away. Yeah, exactly. So drawing there, progress, you know, putting gold on shit, but yeah, progress. Anyway, I feel like because we had to go there and we had to, you know, picking players like Gallagher and Fernandes was left out. And I felt like that we did have to have a lot of players that were kind of up for the fight, a lot of runners. so at home I kind of feel like that Savio and Kudus could both start maybe they'll get hooked at 60 minutes to you know to keep them fresh and injuries but I feel like that we can be more aggressive and attacking at home and with that I feel like we'll score yeah I feel like it's coming as well and it'll be fine but so I've got to put on me yesterday i was doing a shoot um who put what who put what on you well it was a pot no you don't have to do this fine cheers mate though thank you cheers um uh you've thrown me sorry uh right so i was in this shoot and um it was almost like they were trying to build a narrative around spurs and obviously it's a bachelor's with which is kind kind of the point, I guess, when you're on these things.

17:55And they were kind of trying to make up this thing that De Zerbe was furious with the medical team for having taken off a doggy, having to take off a doggy and Savio. To me, it was just a measured response. He wasn't furious or angry, was he? Or have I missed something? No, not at all. He said that he was advised by the medical team to take them off on 60 minutes. And does he want to do that? No. but he has to listen to the medical advice and it would be a lot better to do that and it'd work out in his favour in the future. But if someone's saying, do you want to take your star players off after 60 minutes?

18:33No, of course I fucking don't. I want to kick them on for 95 minutes the entire match. But he realises all the injuries that have gone before him and the safest thing to do is to make sure that these players build up some... What's the word I'm looking for? it's not resistance. Resilience. Resilience, that's it. Yeah. Before we start playing them for the full 90. Otherwise, they're going to get injured and they're going to be kept out for fucking two months, three months or whatever it is. So, of course, yeah, I'd like to keep them on for the entire game. But also, I can understand it's frustrating for 60 minutes.

19:14It wasn't angry or anything like that. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I said. I said this is the first time I've even been aware I was having a conversation about the fact that he was in any way had any issues with the fact that the medical team are trying to protect the players the context to this is obviously the three years of injury crisis that we've had we're trying to stop that from happening the amount of muscle injuries we've had and a doggy especially what plays six or seven games and he gets injured again yeah exactly so if it means protecting him and especially when we've stacked the squad now with players all, almost everyone in the squad, you could argue, could play for the first team by a couple of the younger players.

19:56And what, like, Odebeer, ACL, Simmons, ACL, Madders, ACL. Didn't Bentoncourt have an ACL with us? You know, Kulusevsky's knee fell off. You know, so we have to be cautious about bringing players back. so and I can understand the frustration so yeah I think they're just trying to get us on anything really Kevin Cavino City says what's the strangest interaction you boys have had at the wayground before the season even kicks off soccer fans are already making predictions who wins the league who qualifies for Europe and who's lifting the trophy at season's end on Calci America's number one prediction market platform you're trading against peers in a live market, meaning there's no house.

21:14um by strange is it are you saying because obviously some people might know who we are and have acted strange or that's what it is i mean there was this time when there was a kid where we some some of the older listeners might remember this but we my stepmother valerie she's very good with a um a sewing machine and we created a a sort of a flag a massive massive banner it started relatively small but was huge by the end i would say 100 feet by 50 feet it was maybe not 100 feet that's probably about 70 feet but it was massive rick have I told you about this before yeah yeah um it was even featured on matter of the day once right and we would take it would come in this ginormous bag and you'd squeeze it through the turnstile imagine that happening now you squeeze it through the turnstile and then we in the middle of the crowd where we would just pull out this material that and then people would grab it and you just have this surfer this massive surfer flag right yeah yeah and in the middle it said 100 % Spurs and it had this would probably be controversial now but it had Star David in each corner and and two Cockerels in the other corners Right and we've pulled it out I think it was playing Norwich or maybe Liverpool and we pulled it out and it's surfing along and over the old White Alain it would go along the Paxton and you could you could get it onto the shelf it would sort of be passed around it was amazing if you think back to it it's almost like it didn't it wasn't real but people sort of spoke about it and became kind of a thing and then once right we was having it and it was going along um it would go not we were in the shelf and it had gotten onto the paxton and then you just suddenly saw it disappearing like it just like being pulled in someone grabbed it i was like what the fuck is going on like i was only a kid so i i i can't like it's not like I was angry or anything, but my old man was like, oh my God, like someone's nicking it.

23:25And it was either that or someone was upset by it because he wanted to see the pitch or something. Anyway, we run round. We must have been in the same stand because you couldn't get round like we did. Yeah, we must have been in the same stand. And we found two lads with it, holding it, like in their arms. And we were like, what are you doing? And they went, oh, don't worry, we'll give it back to you. at the Liverpool away game next week we're like no you won't you'll give it to us now luckily my brothers are all there and stuff like that but they tried to nick it like why what went through their wedding going we should nick this they should nick this 100 foot long flag and that was a weird a weird experience it was well funny when we was walking back from Charlton the other day Rick and we was like completely pissed up yeah we've been drinking a lot and just the the interactions we were having on people because I was so hammered I was sort of like But I don't know, it was just funny.

24:20People sort of were having a chat to people as we walked down. And I don't know, it was like a nice thing. I had such a good time against the Charlton game. I thought it was... Yeah, it was absolutely quality. Look, one... You are? It's probably because we won. Oh, yeah, I know. Thrashed them as well. Yeah. The weirdest away interaction I've had, and it's completely my fault. Back in the day, my dad was living in Spain. and he was back in England and he wanted to go and watch Tottenham. And the only game that was going on was Villa away.

24:59And we couldn't get tickets in the Tottenham end. So we got tickets in the Villa end. We were in the Hull end. And I went with my cousin, my cousin Ryan, and at halftime we walked down onto the gangways and we were just chatting between us, smoking a cigarette, catching up on life. And as I went to walk back up the stairs to go to our seats, some geezer grabbed my elbow and he looked at me straight like deadpan in the face and went, that's a fucking Cockney accent you got there, mate. And my arsehole fucking, I shit it. I was only about 14, 15, something like that. And then I just went back up to the stairs, went back to my seat, sat down tell my dad ice forward yeah I mean just a kid though yeah I know just a kid and if I was at Tottenham now and I heard a Geordie accent a Mancunian a Liverpudlian accent I wouldn't like fucking crane my neck around and go you've got a Scouse accent what are you doing here I won't give a shit if you if you are you fair game as a kid if you if you're in the home end and you celebrate a goal if Spurs playing away?

26:16Depends what we're talking about as kids. Like eight? No, you can't lump an eight-year-old. What if he's celebrating now? You have to lump the dad. I think you can lump the kid. Yeah. One of the two's got to get lumped. I don't care if it is. Someone's got to get lumped, yeah. Someone's got to get it. Who is it? I can't remember how it works. You know Barry who plays for Everton, the forward? Yes. he's he got his mates tickets for the everton arsenal game and his mates were arsenal fans but obviously he's an everton fan so you could only get them in the everton end yeah and when arsenal scored against everton they celebrated in the everton away end and got beaten up good you can't do that there's no one should go to football and get beaten up at football, right?

27:11That shouldn't happen. But if you're asking for trouble, you're asking for trouble. Like, imagine if there was like, it was Spurs Arsenal, an eight-year-old kid starts celebrating, going mental when Arsenal score up and he's in the crowd. Someone's giving him a thick ear. Yeah. Like, at this Villa game, Tottenham hadn't won at Villa in nine years or something like that. Lo and behold, Teddy Sherinham scores. We win 1-0. As he smacks the ball in, my dad jumped up. And as he jumped up, he looked at the white of my eyes. I was like, don't do it, Dad. Don't do it. And he just went, for fuck's sake, Villa.

27:53And sat back down. I was like, fucking hell, man. That was so close. I love the fact that you've forgotten where he was. I know. I did Villa away and sat in the home end as well. Oh, really? Yeah. We drew one all. Tim Sherwood scored an absolute screamer. uh i i from that day i will never ever ever go and watch tottenham in a home end i don't even want to watch tottenham in my own end sometimes it's so miserable i fucking don't want to watch them um i think the most mental away day as well rick where it was seville that that was that was where most mental stuff happened yeah and you to to kind of illustrate this story you can go on YouTube now and type Seville Spurs away.

28:41It's like 2006, something like that, 2007. Yeah, 2006, 2007, somewhere. And I cannot explain to this day why this happened, but we were, Spurs, this was our first or second season in the Europa League. And we're well-travelled anyway, but in that season, it was mental. That season in the Champions League season, it would just be thousands and thousands of Spurs fans travelling. And against Seville, we took way more than we had been allocated. Yeah. But what Seville did was release more tickets. So they never sold out. And that's loads of Spanish teams. They're very rarely sell out, apart from Real Madrid, Barcelona.

29:28Villarreal took 49 fans to a Champions League away tie this week. Where was it at? I think it was Italy. Fucking hell. Like, they just don't travel. Hang on, who did they play? They played... Dortmund. And they took how many? 49? Yeah, it's like a fucking hour-long flight away. That is pathetic. Yeah, it's pathetic. But we took... So they released 2 ,000 more tickets, which is where we got them. So we ended up having... Applying through the club, and I think we got them. and then we also bought the, we had like 16 tickets in the end. Anyway, in the corner, down to, imagine us being in like what would be the West End at Spurs and then you'd have the, like imagine if that wasn't our stadium and then down to your right, you'd be where the other Spurs fans would see it, the ones officially allocated.

30:26And then all of a sudden, the police, right police just turned up and started beating the shit out of everybody. Like for no reason. Like I can't, And do you know how I know it's for no reason? It's because we were sitting in a different stand and then they come up to try and get us. Do you remember it? We were just watching it all unfold. And I was like, what the fuck is going on? And they were just swinging their baton. Yeah. I thought a fighter kicked out off or whatever. They had shields and batons and helmets. It was just like - They were beating up our own stewards. Did you see, I think you can see it in, there's a press cut in where there's a poor guy sitting in a wheelchair and he's just getting whacked with a fucking baton.

31:08Yeah. You haven't fucking done anything leave him alone. Nah he's getting it. Nah they're all getting it you're all getting it. It was weird weren't it? Yeah. I've never experienced anything like it in my life and I cannot explain how and why it happened. And then the police came to our section and ran up the stairs to try and come to us and loads of the Spurs fans just stood in the stairwell and just started booting them back down. Wouldn't let them up. No. Fucking men. Mental. Yeah, fucking people are going to get beaten up willy-nilly. Mental. Do you know what would have made it worse back then?

31:42What? If we had to pay full price data. Oh, God. What, being in Seville, not knowing who to call, how to call them? Being charged out of our fucking, out of our contract? Yeah. God, dearie me. so if you're heading abroad don't get stung by roaming charges and these roaming charges are insane like we had someone um sign up and i said i mentioned this last week vodafone we're going to charge him 100 quid for 10 days or 10 days maybe 14 days um abroad 100 pounds just to use your stator and you're going to do it right you when you go traveling you're going to you'll say i won't do it i'll stay off my phone but suddenly spurs have signed a player or you want you need to check something out you want to get on google maps to figure out where you're going and you'll do it you end up using your data uh so if you sign up with the salie.com the salie app the salie ec map at salie.com forward slash fighting cock link is in the description below you get 15 off your first data plan which is good enough anyway but it's so much cheaper than what you would you would spend so it's mental it's mental if you're traveling abroad and you know you're going to use your data yeah to not download the ec map and sign up using the 15 off code that we got fighting cock at checkout right because you're going to save money this is saving you money your This is money you're already going to spend, and now you've got to spend less of it by signing up for this app.

33:0215 %? I thought it was 10%. That's loads. Also, Rick, that was really genuine. Also, if your phone gets nicked, right, what are they going to do? They're going to turn it on. They're going to turn off your, you know, put it on airplane mode. The eSIM app isn't affected. Separate. Separate. fuck yeah it's good so savey.com forward slash the fighting cock and use fighting cock at checkout sign up support the podcast and save yourself money simple dannyboy83 I saw he mentioned in one of his TikTok videos that he was paying EE like£10 a day because of his data yeah he is a moron but part of me he's a moron so he won't be able to work out part of me wanted to go to send him a DM and say look just use this you sort yourself out who's Danny Boy 83 oh he's just some reprobate that's travelling the world yeah shagging prostitutes yeah brasses but he's called the brass father he's horrible he's so horrible like somebody calls himself the brass father and he gets beaten up all the time and kidnapped and shit it's mental that's why people watch him you're like inevitably something bad is going to happen to this man yeah 100 % And then he'll disappear for seven days and you're right, right, it's happened.

34:29Someone killed him. And then he'll pop up again in fucking Singapore. Definitely not Singapore, actually, but it lasts literally 10 seconds in Singapore before we boot it out. Binary Horse says, who's the strongest current player that Ricky can beat in a street fight? Oh. There's no one you can beat up in a street fight. No one in the Spurs dressing room. No one. I reckon I could have a good, bloody good go. Archie Gray Lucas Lucas Bergwell do you think because they've got like a man strength yeah yeah they're nice boys they are nice boys yeah so I just put a nut on one of them yeah oh my god end of them straight in the balls yeah yeah yeah no I don't think you could take either of them none of the senior guys you'd be no you wouldn't be able to beat up Lucas Bertha you'd be gassing within 15 seconds don't tell me about who's gassing and who's not i'll fucking i'll clear him out straight away sorry um real coca says are we a bit physically weak as a side or is this is fitness issues still not sure how that could be acceptable it feels like the brentford and forest game it got it got targeted as a weakness and we got bullied off the ball all over the park also can we never do the quizzes ever again, please.

35:52Cheers. They divide opinion. I mean, let's talk about football. But they do divide opinion, the quizzes. What? I was just about to go in on him. Go on. What? A bit of light relief, Tottenham-related quiz. It's fun. Yeah, you can skip past it if you really, really hate it. We're just asking questions related to Tottenham, and we have to guess what they are. it's not that bad yeah yeah

36:29I was do you know what I was trying to do there Rick just making noises what I wanted to do is somehow manufacture a quiz within 10 seconds and do a quiz right then right okay I don't have enough time yeah yeah that's fine alright uh yeah i i do i would like to know i might do how do i do a poll do you like i mean i can do them on patreon patreon.com forward slash find got uh do on patreon should i bin the quizzes and see what they said i i'm not a fan of quizzes when i'm on the radio and i'm listening to when i'm listening to the radio and they have a quiz or trivia i find them quite dull that's why wow really yeah i'm i'm absolutely i'm just saying that i've just been this is a fun quiz because we literally can just say what we want.

37:16It's not like serious.

37:22I'm saying that I've been booked on the 18th of September to be on a football quiz. Okay. So see how that goes. See, someone was furious of me. Got 26 upvotes. Oh, good Lord. Yeah, because I've sort of been quite vocal on the fact that I think Dan Tso isn't good enough for Spurs. Oh. Obviously, he's really popular, isn't he? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, people hate it. I was fighting Danso's corner. I know he was. They were saying thank God for Ricky. That's what they said. Oh, wow. For backing him and they were just getting pissed off with me. I would say that last maybe 15 to 10 minutes against Forrest, they were like, I feel like we can get a goal here.

38:07And they were launching balls in. And although we dealt with it and they didn't score, that is a time where I think Big Kev would have been useful you know away from home just hold on get the points he'll get his nut on anything he'll put the blocks in but we didn't have him we had what's his face? Well you think the reason we lost that game was because Kevin Dancer didn't play? No we drew the game but I'm just saying it's just one of those games that you could he would have been useful yeah alright fair enough I mean, in terms of physically weak as a side, this is a question from Rio Coker. I wonder if it's the Rio Coker.

38:47I was just about to say. We tried to sign him so many times. He was so fucking average as well. He was. I didn't think, I actually think we were winning duels against Forrest. I thought for the large part, certainly the first half of the second half, we were fine. And we weren't being bullied off the ball. Definitely against Brentford, 100%. I couldn't agree more about that. But this is a comment. There's a fair, that's a fair comment about, this is from Tiga74, that's a fair comment about Brentford, but I don't think we got bullied off the park by Forrest by any means. I thought Forrest were allowed to try and kick the shit out of players, but we stood up to it well and we were the better team.

39:23Yeah, that's fair, isn't it? yeah I think Newcastle um there was elements of us uh losing battles so when they were hitting those diagonal balls um I can't remember who who was like who our fullbacks were but anyway um it didn't look like there was quite a few times where the Newcastle players were winning the balls and we should have been way more aggressive I think that's one of my only not complaints well yeah let's say a complaint for van heck is it i say it's every single i think it's van hecker but people do say van hecker i don't know van hecker i think van hecker sounds better yeah van hecker that you notice it with romero and van hecker as well so there was a ball played against forest he waited for the ball to bounce and so he could get it under give it uh better under control and then start moving.

40:20But because he waited for it to bounce, a Forest player nipped in and then he was in possession. Romero, he wouldn't wait for that bounce. He would just go straight in. And a lot of the time, yeah, he is very aggressive, but he always used to beat that player to the ball and get in front of them. And Van Hecker is never going to do that. Maybe when he is a bit more, I don't know, used to how we play or anything like that but i like to see a defender up the attacker's ass like literally living inside their asshole like a second skin like they're inside they're puppeteering them that's how far i want them in there so they can't fucking breathe through aggression being pushed and shoved maybe even a little pinch maybe even arm hair pull get right up in them.

41:15Romero did that. Van Hecker stands off. So I would like to see a bit more aggression in that sense. Romero got sent off eight times I suppose, didn't he? Yeah, but his card was marked and he did do silly things as well. His card wasn't marked. He was a lunatic. You can still be highly aggressive in your approach without being stupid and being riled up. I saw Tony Adams on the tube yesterday. You punch him? i mean he's a senior now yeah that's true and he's massive yeah i bet he is he's like you don't realize how tall the geezer is uh i did look at him and i just thought i fucking hate your guts which is bad i once didn't i once um produced an interview with hector bellerin and james alcott when we were okay and i was producing and we walked into the room and Hector Bellerin is sitting there.

42:12And he looked, after about 10 minutes of being in there, he said, you're a Spurs fan, aren't you? And I was like, yeah. And he went, I could tell. I was like, how could you tell? He said, just the way you've been in the room since you got here. You just, you don't like me, do you? No. Oh. It wasn't like, he was joking. He was like, I can tell you don't like me. I'm an Arsenal fan. I'm an Arsenal player. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I was like, Well, I mean, yeah, but I'm not really. I think you're fine. As it goes, I wish nothing good for you. Yeah, yeah. I hope you still. No, so I just had this sort of energy, I think, that you picked up on.

42:56You're a Spurs fan. With Tony Adams, you should have sat next to him and said, back in the 90s, my dad had a cut-out picture of you. and drew a donkey and pushed it up against our window. We lived in an Arsenal... Rolling Street, a stone's throw from the Emirates. The Emirates didn't exist then, by the way. But yeah, it was foolish, really. So you'd think a brick would go through the window. Yeah, exactly. We've got a question. No, not a question. This is what someone wrote a week ago, Rick. It says, Ricky's horrible story is from Spirit Witch. Ricky's horrible story about shitting himself at the Spurs Stadium reminds me of when my dad used to play football every Sunday night at the indoor pitch under the Highbury Stadium in the late 90s.

43:47They had an indoor training pitch that was open to the public. It was like an ashtray turf indoors. Wow. One night after quite a large roast dinner, beef I assume, while playing football with his mates, he felt a twinge, had a face that went, oops, I'm in trouble, and immediately filled his pants to the brim with shit. as a brief wearer why do you get to a certain age and you have to wear briefs? My dad wears pants he never wears boxer shorts as a brief wearer he managed to contain the fetal matter the fecal matter not fetal fetal's baby I think fecal matter into his person like tight cling film over a bowl of soup then decided to leave said underwear on the floor of the changing room at the Highbury because it's the home of the scum and they can sort it out and refuse to go back for a few months after.

44:45I mean, he was in luck that he was wearing briefs. Yeah. Because if he was in boxes, he would have been banging trouble. Maybe I should start wearing pants. It doesn't matter with you. Yeah, no, it doesn't, does it? It's just a fucking mess, isn't it? Yeah. um see Madrid broke his ankle or something what what he's injured yeah tell him in training oh god colour me surprised uh eight weeks oh god could not see that happening I think I thought this was going to work out this transfer you really thought it was going to work out yeah it's not is it no uh B. Healy says, why isn't Gray scrutinized as much as Bereval?

45:36We seem to think Gray will be a top player in the future and point to him being versatile when he's discussing these positives. But surely being versatile means you're good in those numerous positions, but he's not. I think we need to see him as a midfielder like Bereval, and I put both in the same category right now. Good young midfielders, but still have a lot to do to be regulars, if at all, for a club as big as Spurs. and Better Call Tom says Grey has been dragged from pillar to post and still managed to be a serviceable option in what was mostly a mess of a squad he's rarely played in his preferred position whereas Bereval has plenty of opportunities in his that being said I don't think Bereval's hate is warranted either he's just put in the same toxic environment and hasn't really had quality players alongside him for any length of time simple fact is if we're failing in both of their developments the simple fact is we are failing in both their developments I think if Grey ended up at Brentford, he'd be in the mix of the midfield merry-go-round than we had this summer.

46:35Thinktronic says, I think he was asking Flav and the lads, but thanks for your opinion. That was a good answer. Leave him alone. I'm going to give him an upvote.

46:51Where are you at with Grey? Honestly? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it's this podcast is listened to by tens of thousands of people. That was good. Right. Okay. I don't really get it. I don't. I feel like, you know, when you have got an opinion and you keep it to yourself and you're on your own and everyone else in the WhatsApp group is like, oh, great. He's the second coming, you know, and I'm just like, I don't, I don't get it. I feel like he gets a pass because of his football family heritage. He's a nice, really lovely guy. He's a young guy. But I just don't, there isn't anything where I watch him and I have to think he's going to be a superstar, that kid.

47:35And that's what I hear from presenters that are speaking of him. And I just, at the moment, because, and it was a fair point about. He's not had a run in midfield. Yeah, exactly. Bereva gets preferred for his place. That's a fair point. Real fair point. And should he? In our midfield at the moment? No. No, I mean, should have Gray. If Gray wasn't versatile, would have he been afforded as many opportunities to play midfield as Bereva? The fact that he's versatile, he's suffering because of it. Yes. Because he's having to fill in at centre-back, fill in at right-back. Yeah. he just needs a run of games.

48:18It's hard, man, because we don't have enough games to give these players. No, we don't. And I think... Sorry, and another thing as well, like, with the leadership and him being the fifth captain, and we're starting the season and he's our captain at Brentford. Was he the captain against... No, Mickey was back for Newcastle. He captained twice, I think. yeah yeah it does feel like that yeah but um yeah and i just again it's not to look at him and be he's captain he's a leadership he's the leader on the pitch everyone's gonna look to him if you know when the chips are down or whatever again i'm just not like i don't i don't get it i don't get it so it feels kind of nice that i'm not really on my own and i get that a lot of people listen to this and thinking I'm wrong, I should shut up or whatever.

49:14But I just, there isn't anything that, you know, if people have young players developing at their team and they're like, Mikey Moore is going to be, he is the one. He's going to have a bright future. You can kind of see with that he is. Maybe he might not get to the levels what we expect, but at least he's played, he's scored, and you can see that he's an attacking player and he'll take players on and everything else. You can see that there is something there. But with Archie Gray, I don't really... There isn't anything that I believe he excels in that I can hang my hat on and be like, he's fucking quality at tackling.

50:01You can't get past that boy. He's definitely, you know, six written all over him or whatever it might be. you have to sell one or the other. Which one do you sell? Bergeville or Gray? I'm probably going to go with Gray. Oh! Yeah. You are a motherfucker. Yeah, I know. This has been simmering under the... This has been simmering for a while, but you're too worried about saying it and upsetting people. No, I said when we both signed those lads, I said, Bergeville has the higher ceiling and he will get further in the footballing. he can't even play a five yard pass yeah I know he's letting me down at the moment with this prediction so I'm joking I'm joking that's the kind of shit that winds people up don't need to say that stuff

50:52Jazim94 says do you think if we signed Mbappe Alex from Bristol we'll find a way to be miserable and complain that it doesn't do enough off the ball where did that come from? I don't know I should read them out mate I don't know i think alex is a contrarian i think he tries to you often try and find the the alternative point and make that i believe that of alex but i don't think he's overall miserable no he does sort of stick to his guns about certain things and and every time something happens like tell for example is now he's current like it was post postocoglu it's now tell when tell does anything wrong he he's he's in the group and talking about it there was this funny thing John posted when Tell had a free kick against Newcastle and obviously we've seen him score to Perla in pre-season.

51:43Yeah. And John went, in my head, I was thinking, go on Tell, prove Alex wrong. Do it. Do it. Prove him wrong. And he absolutely, I mean, it was the worst free kick I've ever seen in my life. I mean, it might have cleared the stadium. Yeah.

52:02Sam's leg. Sam's leg. says our pakistan cricket team actually worse than spurs they are fucking shit i genuinely think i could play for pakistan and i haven't played since i was 16 i thought they i thought they were good at cricket no they're not good at cricket wow yeah like it's england and not great at cricket okay uh but yeah this this test has been a complete waste of time you have to play everyone but it's only like 12, 13 test teams that can compete anyway in the world. You're playing against essentially 12 other teams in the world. And Pakistan are one of them, so you've got to play them.

52:41But it's like having three games against Spurs playing a League One side at the moment. And you do it, and it's a five-day test. There's three of them, and you learn nothing. Good. I'm glad that I haven't taken up cricket as much as well. Ash is next year, mate. I can't wait till next year. I think you're going to get into it, that one. Right, okay, good. Yeah. You did try. I did try and I will try again. But I just, yeah, yeah. I'll keep going. I'll keep going. Keep persevering. Yeah.

53:17Schnuffle98, he says, who is your all-time favourite shit Spurs player? And who do you hate despite being a good player for us, apart from the obvious? favorite shit player.

53:36You got any, Rick? No, I suppose if they're my favorite shit player, I didn't really feel like they were shit. Yeah. I think in terms of like, who's your unsung hero? Who do you think doesn't get enough credit for the stuff they did? Like the most amazing one was Sissoko. because everyone hated him. Like, just thought he was rubbish. And he turned it around in a big, big way. I remember thinking, it looked like he had a hamstring injury and he obviously didn't because he stayed on the pitch. Or he ran it off, the first player to have a run off a hamstring injury. He's that kind of guy, weren't he?

54:14But he, I remember thinking, we're fucked if Sissoko's injured, which is a mental turnabout. Like, he was... Yeah, I do remember that. I do remember that, yeah. He was, like, easily a net positive transfer. Do you think Scott Parker gets enough? He only did it for a short amount of time, but for 18 months, he was incredible. I suppose so, yeah. But I don't really... My most hated player, Daphne, without, you know, naming the unmentionable, is Gary Doherty. Yeah. Kevin Scott, back in the day, I hated his guts. Yeah. Did you hate Ronnie Rosenthal? Ronnie Rosenthal. There you go. That hat trick against Southampton.

54:58I know, but that's everyone. Do you remember what else he did? No, no, that's all I need. Ronnie the Rocket, that's all I need. Rocket Ronnie. Yeah. So he was, for people who don't remember, there'll be maybe some American brethren. We had an injury to Teddy Sheridan and we had to sign a striker. And we signed an Israeli striker called Ronnie Rosenthal from Liverpool. I think we got him on loan or as a free. And by God, he was shit. but he scored one of the best hat-tricks of all time. You can see it. Just like Rosenthal hat-trick, Southampton, 6-2. Yeah. And bearing in mind, this went to extra time.

55:38So we were 2-0 down at half-time. We scored two in the second half and scored four in the 30 minutes, the extra time of 30 minutes. Do you remember that? Yeah, I do. I remember where I specifically remember I was at my next-door neighbour's house. I remember where I was. because this is like 1992. And I don't remember anything. What was you doing? I was around my next door neighbor's house. I was in my front room with my old man watching on TV. I remember it. I think it's just because of mental. The fact that that doesn't happen. You're 2-0 up. You're 2-0 down and you win 6-2 in extra time. Yeah.

56:17So that's probably why it's so bloody memorable. But yeah, he was, that was it. I think you're just, for most people, it'll be him. In terms of having a favourite shit player, it'll be Roventele for that hat-trick. I think my favourite shit player, I guess, that I have fond memories of was, and I've said it before, Jose Dominguez. Yeah, he was shit. Because, yeah, he was shit, but he still had a bit of something about him. Wasn't a lot, but I liked what he had. Mate, I'm looking at this, I've just Googled the Rosenthal and he looks about 42 years old. Yeah. But we're also playing in the kit, our iconic yellow away kit, Umbro away kit with the bird shit on the shoulder.

57:10Lovely. Great kit. Yeah, yeah. It's wicked. That was 1995. That kit came out in 92. They're still playing it three years later. unheard of now fucking now who's at the yeah it is absolutely can you name me Rick hang on a second oh god I'm never gonna be able to you're gonna don't you dare hang on a second

57:39such a banger

57:46listen to it I'm going to get so much wrong what hang on I'm just trying to find the light up that's why I'm not saying anything

58:02come on Phil Ricky say something yeah I'm the only person that I know I don't answer the question alright I've got the light up it's just too loud yeah it is too loud yeah oh I'll fix it after alright okay Ricky name me the starting line up Jesus Christ I don't know alright there'll be five of them Rosenthal 1995 you can't hang on Rosenthal no he's on the bench he's on the bench oh shit yeah Sheridan right Sheridan yes right okay Anderton Darren Anderton yes Barnby Nicky Barber yes see erm fuck er would that have been erm who played in goal at that time 1995 95 erm no Sullivan's that's too too early for Sullivan's yeah erm alright shall I just tell you the team was Dean Austin Dean Austin right back yes erm is that too late for Gordon Jury?

59:21He would have left by then. Right, okay. Heard about Pele, heard about Coise, heard about Beckham Bar, but what about Jury? That's a different matter. This is what they all reply. It's Jury, Jury, Gordon, Gordon, Jury. It's Gordon, Jury. I can't, I think that's it. In goal, you had Ian Walker. You should have got that. Yeah, I should have got that. Dean Austin, right back. Justin Edinburgh, left back. You had Colin Calderwood. and Mabbit as the centre-back pairing. Wow. Stuart Nevercock played in midfield. Oh, fuck, dark times. Yeah, Jesus Christ. He was shit as well. Nevercock played in midfield with David Howes.

1:00:01Oh, my God. He had Nick Barby, Darren Ander, and Teddy Sharon, and you're going to kick yourself here, Rick. Jürgen Klingsmann played. Fucking hell. Yeah, that is bad. Neil Shipley scored in five minutes. Matt Letizia got a penalty in 40. And then it was still 2-0 to Southampton on 57 minutes where Rosenthal scored his first screamer. Then two minutes later, Rosenthal scored a second screamer. And then that took us two extra time and Rosenthal scored his hat-trick after coming off the bench on 102 minutes. Nick Barbe beat Darren Anderton and Sharon also scored. Lovely stuff. At the Dell. The old Dell.

1:00:43At the Dell.

1:00:49DT Brown says, what is the point of it all really? Three games in, we should be better. I appreciate integrating new players, but they've had a lot of time to look better than they are. Why are signing a player that's not played in two years? Why are we? Of course, he's going to get injured. Is he really a better option than Richarlison? yeah fine yeah I think you'll be fine though chin up it's all gonna click and we're gonna win the league imagine that Diddy Barrett says if you boys were back in your primes and no longer old men and you have and you was having a drug-fuelled night out I remember those days remember those days which I'd love to relive that yeah but you can't because we're older now and she looks stupid.

1:01:43We've got stuff to do in the morning. I can't do two-day or three-day hangovers anymore. I didn't even acknowledge the hangovers back then. I was Teflon. Nothing could stop me. Now I'm like, if I don't get eight hours sleep, I panic. Yeah. Anyway, which players of the current squad would you most like to be out with? Let's say top three for each of you. Madders? Yeah.

1:02:13robertson okay yeah that's a good shout very good shout yeah poro i think yeah i think it would be banter as well yeah it would be i think that's probably it yeah that's it that's free anyway yeah uh swiggy g says how long will it take for our fan base to turn on italians entirely deserve it to nale your doggy and bardi are all on fraud watch no Conte in there yeah fuck him as well right okay and what about what about Nicola Bertie nah he stays he's fine yeah he's fine yeah Tramazzani he's in there yeah he's got to go I think Tramazzani could be up there with the worst Tottenham players I've ever seen like what what shit shit players like you'd be him or Gilberto I think yeah honestly go like I think Tramazzani was signed He was ginger Italian geezer.

1:03:06Played left back. I think he played 14. This is how my memory, I don't know if it's true, but my memory remembers it like this. He played 14 games for Spurs and we never saw him again. Tramazzani. Paolo Tramazzani. Yeah.

1:03:24Lonesome Hattie says, would Ricky take a truncheon up the iris for Marmoush to score 20 goals this season? What you, I mean, I know your sort of go-to place is like people digging out Alex, but your go-to place is to be quite negative about almost everything when it comes to Spurs, Rick. I hate this campaign of hate. It's not a campaign of hate. It is. You are, you generally, as a receiver of your opinion. Yeah. I notice how negative you are. No, that's false. And the older you get, the worse you're getting. You're turning into your dad. You're turning into your dad. You should listen to yourself.

1:03:58You should look in the mirror, you cunt.

1:04:07you are Rick because I was asking you this question but I knew what the answer was going to be do you know what do you know what I don't see it I don't see it why would why would Man City let him go he's Egyptian he's never going to make it no that's that is that's racist there's nothing to do about him being Egyptian surprising it is surprising to be fair can can Anglo-Indian be racist to Egyptian? No. No, exactly. So you're fine. Exactly. What was the question? Do I think Mamouche will get 20 goals? No, the question was would you take a truncheon up your ass for Mamouche to get 20 goals? No.

1:04:46Would you have a gay sex encounter? Like legitimate one where you are penetrated? For him to get 20 goals? Yeah. I mean... And you're not... Everyone knows that you're straight but you have to just lie there and it goes in. I mean, what's the benefit for me? The benefit is I'm taking this but Marmouche gets the glory. Yeah, we all benefit. It's not like we win the league. It's just he scores 20 goals. We could be like eighth and he gets 20 goals. I think we did finish eighth. And I was just like, this is ridiculous. Kane scored 30 league goals and we finished eighth, I think. Yeah. Last season.

1:05:27At least give me some FA Cup. Sure. I may there isn't anybody out there that would lay with another man that wouldn't lay with another man for a FA Cup win yeah if you don't you've got to question your you question your sexuality yeah yeah for sure if you're not comfortable enough what is actually happening the physical act of a penetrated ass and how long is it like generally sex lasts about 12 minutes doesn't it I don't know I'm going to expose myself here but I'll tell you take away foreplay you might even be saying four minutes yeah so there's no foreplay you're just being penetrated for four minutes and in exchange bearing in mind within three days your arse will have stopped hurting and it'll just be a memory but you've got the FA Cup in the bag I don't think there is any male Spurs fan out there that wouldn't do that let me know if I'm out out of line here what just just what just being penetrated for four minutes yeah and we get the FA Cup four minutes that's it I don't have to start you off no no no no no no just put it in your for four minutes while you'll do that can I can I watch the tv can I put the tv on every now and then you'll just be going ah ah ah what about if he finishes in you oh that's a different story that is that is come on you don't know who this man is he could no he could be carrying anything yeah you gotta be safe out there if you win in FA Cups yeah I don't yeah I worry really you would like to win an FA Cup but I'm not sure I want to risk although actually in my in another life i used to write sexual health pamphlets for okay a charity called exposure and um the risk of contracting i guess hiv being the worst thing you can contract from anal sex it's like one in 300 don't take this as verbatim it's a long time ago so if you're going out there think i don't have to worry anymore what one in 300 great odds in my favor yeah they'll strap up but yeah it's like that it's like one in 300 so the answer is yes ricky they have to finish in your ass but it's only a one in 300 chance that you're gonna have hiv after and or any other sexual health devices yeah i'm i with that one i think i'd have to swerve even though it's one in 300 i still that's just a bit it's only an FA cup we want eight of them Yeah.

1:08:17M Philly said, will we ever get any match day vlogs? Absolutely not. What do you mean? What's the match day vlogs for you boys?

1:08:28I've done two. Have you? On Lads Patreon. Yeah, so go and join the Lads and Onos Patreon, and then you watch Ricky and his match day vlogs. Yeah. There'll be some new ones this season as well, so there you go yeah uh Phyllis Eboy says not question more of a request Flav next time you see that pleb Rory can you give him a running forearm smash in the mouth and let him know Chelsea was built on cheating and corruption hopefully that will stop him talking like Charles Dickens character to the manner born sounding cunt yeah I know he's not popular uh neighbourhood optimist says would you welcome back Potcher's manager in the future if the chance comes I think it's I am too emotional to say no to Potcher in the future.

1:09:13I wanted to hear your feelings about this. You shared a video the other day on your Instagram story of Ajax Tottenham.

1:09:26What any collapses and cries? Yeah. These are great days. Yeah, it's a lot of feeling in that. Do you go back though? Is it good to go back? I mean, it's not good. I don't think it's good to go back. But it's not like he's not shagging another woman, is he? He's not. I suppose managing Chelsea Chelsea yeah maybe I don't care he loves Spurs he loves Spurs he really loves Spurs it would be a travesty if he doesn't get another chance to manage Tottenham a travesty yeah and I think for everyone we need to we need to get him back what's the saying scratch that itch yeah but it's it's not like scratch the itch would suggest that it's a momentary thing and inevitably it will not work out but he's a really good manager.

1:10:13USA, I know they beat the teams that you'd expect them to beat and they lost when they come up against Belgium, but they look good. And Chelsea, towards the end of that first season with him before he left, look good. And inevitably, Spurs would look good. So there will be a time where he comes back. Do you think if we said to Botch, like you, you can come back and you say, come on, come on, open the door, Jesus Perez you're not allowed in you're not coming in no you've got to stay outside and the reason why they've got to give a reason but you know like when you go to theme parks where people are not tall enough to go on a ride they just have this like little line he goes stand against that no you're too small Perez you're not allowed in yeah adults only I'm afraid yeah get out up for conversations is Cam Flav's mum score us a goal mate that's better be better than that better than that if you're going to cuss my mum fine She's fair game, right?

1:11:09But it's got to be better than that. Yeah, it has to. It has to be funnier than that.

1:11:17I think that'll do, Rick, actually. Yeah? More or less. What's the best curry you've ever had from Active Republic? Oh, deary me. I am going to go. So, well, it's. Don't say your grandma's and cop out. Where did you eat? Where was going to be, my nan's. I know. I've had this conversation with you. Right, okay. I, well, it's just a bit of a boring answer. Do people hook up? For me to say a vindaloo at Eastern Paradise in Stony Stratford, where I live. Very good. Shut up, Rick. Exactly. Exactly. What about you? I can handle the heat. I even made that up. You made it up? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Have you had a vindaloo?

1:12:05Yeah, I've had vindaloo. Yeah, I'll do vindaloo's here, boy. what for the kids not for the kids me and the missus donna's having a vindaloo she's cooking it mate well she can handle the heat yeah rick i thought i was gonna die when i had a

1:12:26honestly there's there's a place called one spice near us right and went out with some mates of ours and the the geezer was having a vindaloo and it was me obviously he's i'm gonna say well what what mates some mates of ours what who are we talking about his name glenn oh glenn i saw you know glenn yeah i know glenn okay yeah um he he was having a vindaloo and i was just curious about the heat of it because he was eating it pretty like i'm not a big fan of men going give me the artist thing on the fucking menu i'm a geezer i just think you're cock right yeah if you say that do that but he was just eating it and it looked like he was just enjoying it and i was like can i taste so i got a piece of naan bread and dipped it in and i i took a bite out of it and i was like that was hot but tasted fantastic it was really lovely tasting right which is probably why you you like it yeah um and i was like next time because I had a, I don't know.

1:13:26I don't, I'm all right with heat, but I'm not, I can't handle that sort of level of heat. I just, my body is just not, but I love like, I can have Jalfrezi, that sort of stuff, a medium heat, right? Yeah. And I'm fine with that and enjoy the heat. And then anyway, next week we went there with me old man and the wife. And I was like, I'm going to have the vegetable vindaloo. And I was like, all right. They brought it. Rick, I had a quarter of the bowl and my ears were itching. I was sweating profusely. I couldn't speak. I was, my face was bright red. I just didn't know where I was. It was, it was almost like taking, I don't know.

1:14:12Like it was like trippy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I was like, this is, how do people eat this? I think I cried. i was like how do people eat this shit and it tasted good but it just the chili got me man they smashed me to bits sometimes it does i had a curry at a south african restaurant and it's a thing called a bunny chow i heard a bunny chow so it's like it's like a loaf of bread but the bread is hollowed out so you've just got the crust around it and then the curry is put in the middle of it. What, the bread is the sort of rice? Yeah, the bread is, I can't remember if it had rice underneath, but obviously if it's stale bread, you can eat the bread after.

1:14:58It's like the plate that you're eating from the bread, holding it all in. And I said, can I get a bunny challenge? She said, do you want it normal or do you want it hot? And I said, I kind of like looked at her and said, look at my face. Yeah. Give me it hot, right? I'm Anglo-Indian. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. Do you think this can't add? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Go and get your chef. Do you reckon there's any Indian Donnies in India? Just can't handle the heat. Oh, 100%. Everything's hot. Just rice all the time. Sorry, what was your saying? And I got this bunny chow and I said extra hot. She said it is hot.

1:15:31And I said, look. Normal is hot. Normal is hot. The standard one is hot. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But you said it. I want it hot. Yeah, I want it hot. So I said, love, look at me. I can handle the heat. Trust me. And they brought it out. And my mum was like, are you sure? that you were not and i said don't be fucking you know you're dealing with it first fork went into my mouth i made a grave mistake what do you do though but you you carry on you carry on because my mum was there yeah and i didn't want to look a cunt in front of her no your mum and i've made myself yeah i know but i could tell that there are eyes in the restaurant that they'd thought like okay he thinks he can take it let's let's uh let's see how he deals with this eyes were streaming nose was streaming like you were saying like you can almost hear it's like you've got tinnitus yeah and I was just like I didn't know where I was like I was tripping out yeah and I got halfway through and I was just like I've had enough mum I've made a mistake how old was you take me home oh this is probably about three years ago three years ago yeah I thought you were saying we were like 16 take me home take me home mum ask if they've got a wheelchair I can't make it to the car the best curry I've ever had would be a place in Bray in Ireland okay yeah I've been doing gear on that day shit and this curry was still incredible
