In short

Agentic commerce and AI shopping—agents that use long context and visual understanding to recommend products, show how they look, and assist with purchasing at the best price, while automating “unimportant” categories to save user time and reduce returns.

Guests

Naveen (Glunz founder; previously founded InMobi, an advertising platform). He’s been in commerce since launching an e-commerce site in 1997.

Key claims

Commerce UI will change in 30 years; shopping should shift from manual research/comparison to “dance” (agent-driven end-to-end discovery). Agents are visual (image/product rendering), not just text. Brands must train systems for agent-to-agent protocols or risk not being “bought.” Agent traffic will overtake human traffic.

Notable examples

Prada shoes recommendation scenario; agents selecting unseen brands/price points; visual try-on in home/environment; reordering shoes based on wear; Nordstrom Rack promo as a contrast to agent-driven discovery.

0:00Hey everybody, it's Gary Vaynerchuk, marketing for the now, CAN 2026. And I'm just gonna be transparent because it's how I like to roll. This is the interview that I'm most excited about that I'm doing this weekend because it's actually contemporary. It's actually not looking at yesterday. It's focusing on today and equally important, everybody's tomorrow. This is the Gary Vee Audio Experience. First, please introduce yourself to all the people that will be watching this over the next several years on the internets. where you're from and what you guys do and then I'll go into the questions. Firstly, thank you for inviting me here, Gary.

0:36Excited to be on your show all the time. Thank you. Firstly, I'm Naveen. I founded two companies, Inmobi, which is an advertising platform and I founded Glunz, which is actually an agentic commerce platform and that's the one that we've launched in the US. It's getting a little crazy. We really want to change the way the world is sharp. Yes. and that's what we love to do. So, Agenda Commerce, the way the world shops, I think that people that I would say are more Silicon Valley forward, when you deliver that sentence, they understand. I think people that are more Madison Avenue forward, which is where we are, as you know, do not understand that as well.

1:22You know, my start in all of this was launching an e-commerce site in 1997. Yeah, I thought about that one. And so that, I've been in commerce pretty much from a very early stage of internet commerce. Where Glance is taking and where the market's going is very exciting for me because it's the first time in 30 years that the user interface of how people buy things is gonna change. That is a substantial thing. For the people that are watching on LinkedIn right now, for the people that are gonna read this when I transcribe it to Substack. Break down in layman's terms and then, because I know you're capable, jump up to 201, 301 talk on this whole Agenda Commerce play.

2:09All right, I'm gonna try my best. Please. So here's what the world of commerce has looked like. We, you know, when I want to buy something, I go talk to a friend of mine. I talk to a partner of mine. You know, I show it to somebody. I go do research online. All of these just to like find what product to buy. Yes. Then, once I've found what product to buy, I then go online and look for the best place where I am not being pleased. I am paying low price for the same product. So I spend a lot of time, we call that research. Yes. That's not really research. We just have to find out what to buy and then where to buy and how much to pay.

2:47That's right. Now, all of that should not be done in today's era, should not be done by yourself in this broken manner. what we try to do is to bring all of that together and we call that dance. What that means is the intelligence of the world should be able to tell what products Gary needs. Okay? You know, I don't need to like, you don't need to go talk to me, you can, of course. But what if I love your beautiful blue Prada shoes? There you are. What about that scenario? Go ahead, keep going. I didn't need any machine to tell me that this is good. But sometimes. Sometimes you do. Sometimes. And that's actually the important point.

3:26I'm just going to jump in. People always think in or. This is going to be and. Someone listening right now. If you want to window shop. If you enjoy that. Knock yourself out. I can speak first hand. I want to do zero of that. I want my agents to buy absolutely everything for me. At the best price. Based on my prior behavior. Absolutely. Get me the fuck out of it. And they will remember everything you have ever told it. So the context window is really long. Correct. By the way. the place which you really touched upon which is really important is it is not text-based right if you use GPD etc it's all text-based it is impossible to say hey go buy these blue shoes and they look like this I don't know what that means so the output for us is images it is generated products it is the product by the way on how it looks in you yes because what you do today is you wear a product you go show it to you know a friend of yours and say how do I look in this.

4:21Well, let us do this for you. So effectively we choose the product for you, we show it how it looks in the environment that you want to see it either on you or in your home or whatever and then we tell you what's the best place to buy it. All of that is done by the machine so the agent will do this for you. Is the agent buying it for you as well? Agent is assisting in the buying. We don't want the agent to complete the buy process but it tells you. Because that's what I want. I literally actually just want to show up to my home every day, Have stuff. Yeah. And if you automate it and say give it a budget, you just buy it for you.

4:55What about long term? Do you think because of this world we're about to live in, do you think those Prada shoes, for example, will start to become like AI and Internet of Things enabled where it understands that you've worn it enough that it's wearing down, but you love them and it itself will reorder itself? That's a great idea, man. What do you think? I just got here by my looks. So good, so good, so good. New summer arrivals are at Nordstrom Rack Stores now. Get ready to save big with up to 60 % off brands like Rag & Bone, Levi's, Adidas, and Free People. Join the Nordic Club to unlock exclusive discounts, shop new arrivals first, and more.

5:35Plus, buy online and pick up at your favorite rack store for free. Great brands, great prices. That's why you rack.

5:46Well, that's a great idea. But I'll tell you what really happens. You know, we know, how many brands do you know? In the world, me? What do I think, 100? 100? Yeah. How many brands do you think there exist out there? Millions. Millions? You don't know the remaining? Of course. Of course. Machine knows them. Of course. So therefore, what starts to happen is the machine goes and looks at that 10 ,000th brand in the world that you are not aware of, but it's best for you. I want everyone to hear what I'm about to say because I know the demonization of incredible technologies is the flight of man. I want everyone to hear this.

6:22If you love shoe shopping, this doesn't stop it. This allows you to do more shoe shopping because in the background, it's buying groceries or shampoo, a category you don't care. What people do not understand about agentic shopping is it will do the shopping for you in the categories that you don't care, thus giving you more time to do the deep work that you want to do on the categories that you do. This is a really important point. Bang on, man. Right, brother? Bang on. Like, a lot of people will demonize this because many love shop. I mean, Hannah Park, she loves to shop. But does she love to shop for every category?

7:00Of course not. No human does. Thoughts? That's correct. That's exactly right. And therefore, the machine, give the machine the ability to go and shop for you. It'll look at products that you've never seen before. Of course. It'll look at brands that you've never even heard of. It'll look at price points that are unbelievable for you because the world has this. and therefore less returns. Better for sustainability, better for climate. You are gonna save more money and you're gonna have a lot more time on your hands. Understood. Tell me something that has been either a misconception or people don't really grasp yet in the next 24 months in this space.

7:38Anything stand out? Want to ask you that on either side? There are two things. I think one, people have yet to essentially understand that agents can actually be visual in nature and that's something that we are trying to showcase to say it's visual, it's not text-based. Sure. Text-based are different use cases for it. The second is every brand has to essentially start training their systems to be learned by the agents. That's right. So if you stay behind on that, the agent-to-agent protocol is going to become more important than anything else. OGs, listen to me carefully. Do you remember back in the day when you had websites in the late 90s and then you woke up one day and realized, wait a minute, our website has to be read by Google so we show up on the first page.

8:24This is what this fine gentleman is describing. If you are not creating content for social, if your websites and your places that you show up digitally are not structured to be readable by these agents, you have no opportunity of being bought. That is bang on. And by the way, the agent traffic is already overtaking human traffic. Of course. Friends. That's gonna just like be the case. The computers are gonna win. I'm sorry. Yeah. Suck it up. Yeah. That's true. But participate in it in a way that... Well, that's right. Activate it, right? Yes. And by the way, it's great for the businesses. It's great for consumers.

8:58All right. One last moment because we're having fun here, but I think you deserve this. Then why glance over other things for people that want to be on the consumer side of this to consider it? And how do they find it? And how do they use it? You just go download Glance app. Yep. First. Second, we're the number one player in the agentic shopping world right now, globally. There's nobody even remotely close to what we are trying to do. So you got a first mover advantage. Usually. And the beauty of this is, the faster you train the model, the better it works for you. So to get onto that bandwagon early, whether you're a consumer or an enterprise, because the more you train the model - Like two-sided marketplace.

9:35Two-sided, right? Be found by the agents, be a consumer, that's gonna have a better shopping experience. Exactly, and the more you use it, the better it gets for you on both sides. My friend, congratulations. Thank you, man. We'll see you next time. Thank you, everyone. Hey, everybody, if you enjoyed this podcast, please go back and look at the prior episodes. They're loaded. We discuss why agents will quietly handle the categories you don't care about so you have more time for the ones you love. I also explain why brands that aren't structuring their websites and content to be read by agents will have no opportunity of being bought.

You'll learn about:

• What Agentic Commerce Really Is
