In short
The hosts debate whether “all women want a divorce,” sparked by a running joke about wives demanding only perfect 10/10 ratings. They also do a survival hypothetical (cutting off a trapped arm), review the film Brothers, discuss TV and dreams, and cover Warriors rugby league team news plus Magic Round Brisbane talk.
Guests
No guest interviewees. The “guests” are the regular hosts: Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue, and Keyzie (Keezy/Moggi). Callers appear later (e.g., Liam, David, Kelvin) for Magic Round prize draws, but they aren’t treated as episode guests.
Guest backgrounds
Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue, Keyzie are radio hosts on The Hauraki Big Show; they discuss entertainment, sports, and listener calls.
Key claims
“All women are planning divorce” (mogi’s provocation); husbands get “dickhead/disdainful/nothing” looks; in the survival scenario, the man hacks off his arm and survives.
Notable examples
Abby texts “Mogi is 100% correct” after mentioning divorce on her wedding day; the “I Survived” backbone story; Brothers (Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire, Natalie Portman) and Warriors returning Luke Metcalf for round 6.

0:01Mogey:The Horeki Big Show with Toledos. Rehydrate the right way with real ingredients and natural colours.
0:09Keyzie:Welcome, this is Big, to the Horeki Big Show, really big, with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keyzie. Oh, g'day you mad bastards! Great to have your company this Tuesday afternoon, it is the 24th of March 2026. and you, my friends, as always, listening to The Big Show, brought to you by Toledo's.
0:32Mogey:From work days to workouts, Toledo's natural electrolyte drinks keep you balanced, refreshed, and ready to go.
0:40Jase:Yeah!
0:51Mogey:Please, sir, may I have another?
0:54Keyzie:Now you're drinking.
0:55Mogey:Oh.
0:57Keyzie:Is this adding value? Well, Muggie's wasn't. It was just stupid. And yours? I mean, what are you trying to do? Peaky blinders or something, Kesey? Well, no, it's just like... They didn't have Toledo's in those times.
1:09Mogey:Because it don't even make sense, man. They didn't have electrolyte drinks back then. Well, I don't know. I wasn't born around those times like you. Muggie?
1:22Jase:G'day, Muggie. You stallion, how's life? Going pretty gross. Yeah, you mad dog, you sick son of a bee. Yeah, good. How's autumn, man? Oh, it's okay so far. I'm loving it so far. Everybody's starting to dress a little bit different, except for Keezy's wearing one of his three T-shirts. But you've got a brand new shirt on, Jase.
1:38Keyzie:Thank you, man. Thank you for noticing. It looks so good, bro. Thank you. I appreciate it.
1:43Mogey:Can I just say, Jase, that I'm not going to join in with Mogi on this classic gag. I know that that's not a brand new shirt. I know that you got that shirt last week. So it's not technically brand new. this is the second time you've worn it, and I'm sorry about him.
1:56Keyzie:No, I really appreciate the compliment. Thank you, Moggy.
1:59Mogey:Tell you what, great new haircut, though.
2:01Keyzie:Thank you, yeah. Thank you. Pleased you noticed, Keezy. Pleased you noticed. How are you today, man? Yeah, good, thank you. Good. Did you do much walking today, man? I've done a fair amount. I was actually pretty knackered by the time I got to work today. I've done a lot of walking. I was walking up the hill today, coming to work, and I was going, jeez, I'm actually struggling a bit here.
2:21Jase:Yeah, I have been walking to work because obviously my teeter's broken down, the council has sold my Aqua, and I've got a flat tyre on my push bike. So I've been doing a lot of walking, but I had a bit of urgency today, so I used one of those lime scooters. I've actually got a bone to pick with those bastards. We'll talk about it later in the show tomorrow.
2:40Keyzie:A real bone. Yeah, no, fair enough, man. A massive, massive bone. You know what I've also discovered with all the walking I've been doing is that I actually walk really fast now. Like, I've only got my tiny little feet and my tiny little steps.
2:54Mogey:Yeah.
2:54Keyzie:But I actually hoon past people all the time now.
2:57Mogey:I'm just badoosh. I'm picturing, you know, the noise Fred Flintstone's feet make when he's bowling his bowling ball? A little bit like that, yes.
3:05Keyzie:Totally. But, no, I'm good, thanks, fellas, and thanks for noticing my new shirt, my new hairdo. Hey, Mogi, what's coming up, mate?
3:16Jase:What's happening on The Big Show with old Mogi? Another couple of huge opportunities to get into the draw for Magic Round. We're going back for the third time this May, and your opportunity to jump on the phone. When you hear the cue to call 0800 HODAKI, get involved. Old Bogey, I had a dream last night about one of the big show team. I can't say who it was, but it's left me feeling a little bit queasy. Old Keezy over there, your missus is fuming again. Is she ever in a good mood? Don't know. And Jace has got one of the all-time great hypotheticals. One of the absolute all-time greats.
3:59Keyzie:Totally, man. Looking forward to that, man. It's going to be awesome. But in the meantime, here's Velvet Revolver.
4:04Mogey:The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
4:08Keyzie:Smashing pumpkins there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday afternoon. The time, 12 minutes past four o 'clock.
4:15Mogey:Fellas, yesterday on the show, same time as right now, in fact, I reviewed Jace's wife's play. Went to see it Friday night with Pugsan and my partner and his partner. Lovely evening. Enjoyed it. I gave your wife's performance a 10 out of 10. And I gave the show itself. Couldn't be better. No, literally a perfect performance. Yeah. Don't know that it was perfect. Wow. You're telling me. But then I gave the play itself an 8.5 out of 10. Overall, I think that's like an 18.5 out of 20. Yeah. I then went home, spoke to my wife about it, and she said, oh, did you review Jace's wife's play? And I said, yes, I did.
4:54Mogey:She said, cool, what did you give this one? And I said, okay, well, I obviously gave Jace's wife's performance a 10 out of 10. She was like, yeah, great. And I said, and I gave the play an 8.5 out of 10. And she was like, what? You've done it again. I'm like, what? What have I done again? She's just like, why don't you just give it a 10 out of 10? And I was like, do you understand that a 10 out of 10 play is the best play in the world ever that's ever been performed? and she is basically accusing me of having dished out another 6 out of 10. So the question I'm raising is what's the point? Why am I rating anything?
5:27Mogey:Because apparently all I'm allowed to give out is 10 out of 10. And can I say again, Jase, your wife is a 10 out of 10.
5:36Keyzie:Performance wise. I, when I spoke to my wife about it, I didn't mention numbers, Mojo. I don't think it's necessary. and I said that you were bored after the first minute when I started the monologue. That's not what I said. I said you were making some sexist comments about it. Yeah. I said that you said that she was enjoying the kissing and arse slapping just a little bit too much for your liking. No, I was enjoying it. And there was something else I can't remember off the top of my head. I had a burrito and had a tartar with it. Yeah, she was filthy about that. I wasn't ripping ass. It was funny because when she came home that night after that show, she said, and some maniac was ripping ass all through the play.
6:24Keyzie:My tummy was rumbling.
6:25Mogey:I wasn't ripping ass.
6:26Keyzie:I've got a feeling it was all Keezy. Did she say my name like that? Yeah, she does. She says Keezy. So, look, let's just leave it there. Yeah, suffice to say, very much looking forward to coming to your house for dinner.
6:44Mogey:No, this is the problem.
6:45Keyzie:Very much looking forward to rating your food, your accommodations, your entertainment. Are you staying the night? Well, yes, we plan to, yes, in the spare room.
6:55Mogey:Okay. But do you see my dilemma here? It's just like, what is the point of the stuff we're doing if, unless I give out a 10, I get hauled over the coals? By your wife. And by -
7:05Jase:Well, I mean, the answer is clear. You have to divorce her. You simply must. And we've been saying this to you for, what, ever since we weren't invited to your wedding, we've been saying you've got to divorce her.
7:16Keyzie:And look, Kesey, I know it's a tough call, what Mogi's saying there, especially with a kid on the way.
7:21Mogey:I don't have a kid on the way and I wasn't ripping ass. You know. You've got to beat her to the punch, man. Well, she's not planning on doing it to me. Like, as far as I can tell.
7:31Jase:Kesey, they're always planning on doing it.

7:33Mogey:So are you saying all women are planning on divorcing their husbands? Yes.
7:37Jase:0800 Horeki if I'm wrong or if I'm right. Text 3483.
7:42Mogey:3483. Can we get some female clarification around this? That would be nice. We've got$50 gas money courtesy of Toledo's to be won for every text, so get yourself in the drawer.
7:51Jase:The only reason that she doesn't divorce you, Keezy, and the same with Jase and myself, more so myself, is because without us they can't get the suitcases down from on top of the wardrobe. That's it. Well, I mean, obviously not in my case. No, yours is under the bed.
8:07Keyzie:You're closer to the floor. Yeah, I'm closer to the floor and I need a little ladder to get the old suitcase. She's a little bit taller than me too. She towers over you. She does. She towers over me. She's a very tall lady.
8:21Mogey:Right, okay.
8:22Keyzie:Just quietly. You know, I give your wife a 10 out of 10 too, Keezy. For what?
8:26Mogey:Just in general. No, we're not just rating our wives. I'm talking about your wife's performance. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
8:41Keyzie:Yes, indeed, Sublime there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday afternoon, 22 minutes past four o 'clock.
8:47Mogey:I believe Mogi has kicked a bit of a hornet's nest here, a wee bit. You suggested that the moment women get married and become the wife of someone, they are instantly planning divorce.
8:59Jase:For me, it feels like it's got a few weeks around it. You know, you get that because the thing that they love the most is the idea of getting married and having the wedding. That's the thing they love. They don't love you. No. They don't love Jase. Don't love me. That's the thing. That's where you want to get to. And then after the honeymoon and all that sort of carry on. The pink cloud period. Yeah, it sort of wears off and they're like, oh, God, I'm actually stuck with this idiot.
9:24Mogey:This guy over here. Yeah, any guy.
9:26Jase:This fool.
9:27Mogey:And so we asked for this feedback on 3483. Abby texts through, Mogi is 100 % correct. Someone who has texted through, Mogi is correct and I am a woman. Got married on Saturday and she's already mentioned divorce. Yeah. You know, maybe just joking, but you can tell that the cogs are turning inside the hair. That's right.
9:44Keyzie:Well, it's beginning to end.
9:45Jase:The seed has been planted. Are you ever in the house and you turn around and your wife is just staring at you? Yes. And you're like...
9:53Mogey:And she's sort of just like thinking. I don't like that. Yeah, you can see that.
9:55Jase:It's not positive. No.
9:57Keyzie:They've got that sort of quizzical, how did that happen? That's right. A look on their face.
10:02Jase:Yeah, my wife had it for me last night because I said I was going to do something and then she had a look on her face. And I said, what's that look? And she said, oh, well, you just said two days ago that there was no way in the world that you would ever do that. So the look on her face was, and it was an amazing look that a face could do this. I knew it immediately. It said, you're a dickhead. Yeah, you're an idiot. I looked at her and I said, what are you thinking? because I know what that face means, I'm a dickhead, but why?
10:29Keyzie:One of the concerns you have, because I've been married eight times for 28 years now, and you go from the what a dickhead look to the disdainful look. Oh my God.
10:49Mogey:So is the aim as the husband, is the aim to fight through all those looks and hold on until you get the nothing look. Can't be bothered anymore, yeah.
10:59Jase:That's the aim, right? You don't even exist. That's the dream.
11:02Mogey:Okay.
11:02Jase:Then you're in sort of, you know, you can get in sort of a rhythm.
11:05Mogey:Yeah, yeah, yeah. But they just sort of give up. What about this one here? Yeah, I plan to get divorced. All he does is rip ass in bed and then gets up at 3 a.m. and walks to the toilet and rips ass again for 30 seconds straight.
11:17Jase:Yeah. You see, that's standard. I mean, how many times is that playing out all across this great nation and indeed the world? Not in my house it's not, Mogi.
11:24Keyzie:I have some dignity and respect. I might inadvertently squeeze one out when I'm doing wheeze at three in the morning, but that's the only time I make a deliberate effort to not do a Keezy in front of my wife. What is doing a Keezy? Then rip arse. And certainly not when I'm in the middle of a majestic amateur play.
11:45Mogey:I didn't rip arse in the play. My tummy was just rumbly. Although I will say on this topic that the sort of ratio in the Keezy household, and Mogey, you were saying off air, certainly your household, the ratio of who's ripping ass is certainly in favour of one member.
12:01Jase:I don't even think it is a ratio. I think it's a percentage, and the percentage is 100%, old Mogey.
12:06Mogey:Yeah, same here.
12:07Keyzie:In fact, you're so bad at ripping ass that you got charcoal, didn't you? That's right. Charcoal tablets. Because your wife was like, she'd gone past a disdainful look at that point and gone, really? Yeah, oh, yeah. Really, Mogi?
12:25Jase:Yeah, it was loathing.
12:26Mogey:Yeah. And so when you came home and you had these tablets and she was like, what are those? And you were like, these are to stop me from ripping ass. Did you have the you're a dickhead look on her face? She was loving it.
12:35Jase:Yeah. She fell back in love with me all over again.
12:39Mogey:The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
12:43Keyzie:Soundgarden there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday afternoon. The time is 4.35. And this morning, fellas, I tuned into the television there just to watch a bit of TV, just to chill out for a bit. And I came upon my favourite program at the moment, I Survived. And it's basically just true stories of people that survive horrific stuff.
13:06Mogey:Do any of them ever die?
13:08Keyzie:No, because obviously they survive, Keezy. Are they all wearing new shirts? They didn't. It's not I died and now I'm going to talk about it on the TV.
13:19Mogey:Yeah, true. That's a good point. I didn't think about that.
13:22Keyzie:And there was one particularly brutal story, a true story of an old backbone, and it happened to him. And it raised a few questions for me, and I wanted to put it to you as a bit of a hypothetical, if I could, fellas.
13:38Mogey:Go for it, Jase. Hit us. Doosh, doosh.
13:41Keyzie:What are you doing playing that? This is a serious hypothetical, Gizzy. Okay, go. So this backbone, there was a sandal maker, but that's by the by. That's better. He's driving along in his van, and he's in the sort of outer Wop Wops in America.
13:58Jase:Yeah.
13:58Keyzie:And his van goes off the road because a deer runs across, and he tries to avoid the deer.
14:08Mogey:So I'm just trying to, like, vibe with what you're – is that not good? Is that a shocker there? That's Benny Hill. Oh, is that? Okay, sorry.
14:15Keyzie:Fellas, this is a serious hypothetical, please.
14:18Mogey:Okay, go.
14:20Keyzie:So he veers off the road, this old fella, who's incidentally a sandal maker, but that's by the by. Right. And he goes into the bush, crashes into the bush, whereupon he smashes into a tree. The large tree falls on top of the van and crushes him. But not all of his body, just his arm. Okay? Which arm? His right arm. And he's right-handed. And he's like, okay, this is not good because I'm in the middle of kind of nowhere and not many people come out these paths.
14:53Mogey:So you reckon he wouldn't be like where he was? He was unseen from the road?
14:56Keyzie:He was not seen from the road. Right, okay. And he was like, okay, this is not good, but hopefully someone will come by. A day passes and he can't get his arm out because a tree, a branch has fallen across his arm,
15:12Jase:a very heavy branch. If I remember correctly, he's been trapped. He's been pinned by this tree.
15:16Keyzie:He's been pinned down. Otherwise, he'd just leave. He'd make like a tree and leave. A day passes, and he begins to feel that his arm is not quite right. There's something going on.
15:29Jase:Do you know what it is, man? It's that tree. It's that tree that's on top of it. That's the first clue.
15:34Keyzie:Two days pass, and he's still trying to free himself from this tree, and he's found a knife in his car, and he's been hacking at the tree, and he said, I got about an inch into it, and I realised I'm not going to cut through this particular branch. It's massive. Three days pass, still no one, and he notices rats are starting to chew on his hand. Oh, my goodness. He notices, he can see that rat, and he can't move.
16:02Mogey:On the other side of the tree.
16:03Keyzie:Because he's pinned down on the thing.
16:05Jase:But he can't feel it because his arm's gone numb, I would have thought.
16:08Keyzie:It has gone numb, but he could see them doing it. You could see it, yeah. But he could also see that his arm was beginning to die, i.e. get gangrenous.
16:17Mogey:Right, okay.
16:18Keyzie:Fourth day. Gangrenous. He goes, okay, here's my scenario, and here's the hypothetical. I've got a knife here. I've got two choices. I die or I hack off my arm. So the question is, would you hack off your arm? Or would you just go, oh, it's been a good run? I've had a good go of it. I've had a good, you know, I've given it a nudge. 85 not out, not bad.
16:45Jase:Right, okay. I would just call out to somebody. He hasn't even tried that yet. So you just sort of yell out. I go, hey, help. Get pinned down by a tree. He tried calling out.
16:57Keyzie:Get this tree off me, it's on my arm. He tried it so much, in fact, he lost his voice in the end. He was screaming. Lost his voice in the wilderness. Yeah, he was croaking. Oh, God. Could you do it, fellas? Could you hack off your arm if you had to in that situation?
17:08Jase:What would I do? I would probably... I'd just probably lift it off with my other arm because my left arm is just as strong as my right. Yeah, that's true, actually.
17:17Mogey:I'd lift it, yeah. And if not, I'd probably just watch something else because it sounds tedious. Oh, if you guys aren't taking this seriously,
17:22Keyzie:then I'm not even doing this. What would you do, Chase?
17:26Mogey:Three, four, eight, three.
17:27Keyzie:He did hack it off and he lived. And he can still make sandals even though he only has one arm. Oh, wow. Backbone.
17:34Mogey:The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
17:39Keyzie:Frames Ferdinand there on this rather lovely autumn afternoon. The time is 4.47. Let's talk TV. What's on the telly with Mike Minogue?
17:55Keyzie:Yeah. Fellas. I watched a movie last night, Brothers, it was called. Brother's Soul No. 1. No.
18:05Mogey:Undercover Brother.
18:06Keyzie:No. Brother from Another Mother. Brothers. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire, Sam Shepard, the great Sam Shepard, who I was reading up about, wrote over 50 plays, Mogi.
18:20Jase:He was quite amazing. Yeah, a very, very well-known actor, a very solid actor, and a prolific and one of the all-time great American playwrights. Yes, he was. It's a weird thing that he was both, to be honest.
18:31Keyzie:Yeah, he was very well known. Resilient passed away. Yes, 2017 I think it was. But anyway, it's a story of two brothers. One's a US Marine and that's a Tobey Maguire character. Jake Gyllenhaal is a bit of a loser. He's not a loser, he's just a troubled dude who gets released from prison and he's got actually a really close and intense relationship with his brother who's a Marine and a good bastard. A real backbone, and he loves his brother, takes him out of prison, helps him out. Their father is a bit of an alcoholic. He was in the army as well, and sort of has this very tense and difficult relationship with the Jake character, but is very proud of his other son.
19:16Keyzie:Now, the Tobey Maguire character, the Marine, goes to Afghanistan, and lo!
19:21Mogey:No, not a spoiler. This isn't a spoiler, is it?
19:24Keyzie:Okay, something happens to him. and his wife is left behind with two kids.
19:31Mogey:Something happens to him and she's left behind with two kids.
19:34Keyzie:It's hard to explain this without giving the story away.
19:38Jase:If you don't want to hear it, it's been out for years. If you don't want to spoil it, turn it off.
19:43Keyzie:No, leave it on. And so Jake's character helps out the wife because the husband's no longer there.
19:51Mogey:Helps her out. So it's like a Pearl Harbour situation.
19:54Keyzie:Helps her out and...
19:55Mogey:Helps her out.
19:57Keyzie:Mogi, stop it. Suffice to say, I'm just going to tell the storyline here. Yes. They begin to fall in love.
20:06Mogey:Oh, you're shitting me.
20:07Keyzie:And the sexual tension... They're loving it. It's extraordinary.
20:11Jase:Who's the female lead? Maggie Gyllenhaal. No.
20:16Mogey:That'd be weird. Come on, man. I'll look it up. You carry on.
20:20Keyzie:They begin to fall in love.
20:22Mogey:Yeah.
20:22Keyzie:And it gets very intense, and he's really great with the kids. But. However. Is the husband dead? Right. Oh, he thinks not. And he comes back. But while he's over and he gets captured over in Afghanistan and has to perform a terrible act. Yes. And it kind of destroys him mentally. His arm gets trapped by a tree. And he has to hack it off with his free hand.
20:48Mogey:Jenna Jamison.
20:49Keyzie:Oh, is that her name? Okay. That doesn't sound right.
20:54Mogey:Oh, no, hang on. That's the porn version. Sorry. Natalie Portman?
20:58Keyzie:Yes. There she is. That's the one.
21:00Mogey:Yeah, okay, cool. How many buzzies out of ten? Natalie Portman? No, the movie Brothers. Out of five.
21:07Keyzie:A good solid three buzzies. It's a good film.
21:10Mogey:Yeah, great. And I'd have to watch it now because I know the entire storyline.
21:13Keyzie:Well, you know you don't because I didn't finish it off. You don't. Oh, okay.
21:15Jase:Yeah, because when it gets to the end, it gets, oh. Oh, okay. Oh. Good to know. It's a very, very intense film. It's the sort of film that nowadays I can't be bothered with because it's too much drama, man. I like that. What's with all the drama?
21:29Keyzie:Samsung TV.
21:30Jase:Oh, my God.
21:31Keyzie:The Movie Hub.
21:33Mogey:Movie Hub on Samsung TV.
21:34Jase:Movie Hub rules, bro. It's pretty good, eh? High five Movie Hub, jizz.
21:38Mogey:So Movie Hub Brothers. Yes. I was looking in the wrong hub. That's why the wrong actor came up.
21:44Keyzie:You were going to your standee.
21:46Mogey:Yeah. How about this, fellas? We watched Location, Location, Location last night. TVNZ, the UK one. So great. This morning, my wife goes, I think we need to stop watching Location, Location, Location. I was like, why is that? She's like, I had a dream that Phil Spencer, the main guy, came to us and helped us sell our house. Right. And I'm like, so you're dreaming about the Location, Location, Location guy after admitting that she has a crush on the Grand Designs New Zealand guy. So what's going on? I know what's going on. What? Some kinky shit, man.
22:20Keyzie:There's some kinky shit.
22:22Mogey:To be honest, I do love Phil Spencer, man. He's very charming. Very good presenter.
22:27Jase:Well, it's pretty clear she loves anybody involved in real estate, Keezy, so my advice to you is don't sell your house anytime soon.
22:34Mogey:Oh, God.
22:35Keyzie:Here's that Zeppelin. The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy.
22:42Mogey:Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
22:45Keyzie:You're welcome back, you massive backbones. Hope your Tuesday's going along very nicely. Indeed, you are listening to The Big Show brought to you by Toledo's.
22:53Mogey:Why pause your thirst? Defeat it with Toledo's natural electrolyte drinks. Oh, yummy. Oh, more like yum, Lido's.
23:00Keyzie:Magic on my tongue.
23:03Mogey:I think we're getting there. I think we are getting there with the Toledo's brand. I think so. Hey, just a quick. Toledo's. Just a quick.
23:11Jase:Just that one there. Toledo's. And then you can have like magically sparkly things coming off it. Can you sort that out for us, Tilly, while Pugs isn't here? Get on it, man. That's the one I'm telling you.
23:22Mogey:Just on Toledo's, Moggy, if I could, someone's texting here saying, hey, Keezy, where do I get Toledo's from again?
23:28Jase:They went where to where to where. Yeah.
23:31Mogey:But I didn't make fun of them for having like a slight stutter because that would be mean.
23:34Jase:That's a substantial stutter.
23:37Mogey:And so just to address that one text. Yeah. Toledo's.co.nz. Otherwise, at every fresh choice across New Zealand, and they're rolling it out at several pack and saves in New World's as well.
23:46Keyzie:Where's that text, Keezy? I can't see it. Jase, put your glasses.
23:50Mogey:It's just there, man, at the top there.
23:53Keyzie:Hey, fellas, it's just me and my daughter at home tonight, and I'm thinking dinner, you know what I mean? I'm thinking maybe a bachelor's handbag and some salad. What do you reckon? Some white buns.
24:05Jase:When's the last time you cooked for your child, man?
24:07Keyzie:This is shocking. Someday. And what did you make? I made creamy chicken and mushroom pasta with a bit of parmigiano and a bit of basiallo. A bit of lemon zest, a little bit of cracked pepper.
24:20Mogey:So you made pasta with a heavy layer of racism on it.
24:23Keyzie:And cream, of course, and a creamy sauce with a little bit of Dijon mustard chucked in there. But what do you think of that dinner? A bit of your old bachelor's handbag? Yeah, I love it, man. White buns and a salad.
24:36Mogey:Yeah, that's a... Well, coleslaw from the supermarket, usually. Coleslaw?
24:40Keyzie:Well, no, apparently coleslaw's the most bacterially sort of oriented...
24:46Jase:Yeah, it's true.
24:46Keyzie:Who cares?
24:47Jase:You suck it on a vape every three minutes.
24:49Mogey:Yeah, also, I've eaten so much coleslaw in my time, and I'm sweet. Look at me.
24:54Jase:That's not the worst what Keezy loves eating.
24:57Mogey:Yeah, man, I like eating way worse stuff, and I'm sweet. Look at me. Jase, look at me, man. Look at him. Look how great I am. Here's Metallica. The Horaki Big Show with Jase, Mike, and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Horaki.
25:14Keyzie:Welcome back. The Big Show. Magic Round 3 beat. Let's put another mad bastard on the bench. Yes, indeed. Your chance to join the fellas at the Magic Round.
25:27Mogey:That's right. Magic Round NRL. It is every single team, except for one, playing all their games at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane over three nights. We go there, accommodation included, flights included, thanks to boystrip.co.nz. They make sports travel easy. We go there. We have three epic nights of rugby league and a lot of other stuff as well. and then we come home shells of humans. Yeah, pretty much. And while we've been there, which is twice now, the Warriors have not lost despite the odds. Yes. Can they get the three-peat? They will be up against Brisbane, who are the defending Premier Champion people, victors.
25:59Keyzie:And it's their home ground.
26:00Mogey:And it's their home ground as well. So it's going to be massive.
26:03Keyzie:I like a challenge. Let's go to the phone lines. G'day, Liam, you mad bastard. How's life? Yeah, good, thanks, fellas. How are you? Yeah, good, thanks, Liam. What do you do for a crust, Liam? I'm a builder. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, back, mate. And obviously you love your muck my league. Oh, yeah, mate. Beautiful.
26:21Mogey:Yeah, boy.
26:22Keyzie:Who's your favourite Canberra Raider? Oh, Joey Tepanek. Oh, Joey Tepanek.
26:28Mogey:Exactly, because he's a Kiwi, Jase. Yeah, well, I knew that, man. And a Kiwi is the International New Zealand Rugby League side. Is it? Liam, mate, if you were to win this prize, who would you bring with you, man? I'd probably be my brother or my old man.
26:41Keyzie:Backbone. Oh, yeah, backbone. That's the one, man. Like that, Liam. Like it. Good stuff, mate. You're in the draw. Stay on the line. Dilly will take care of you. G'day, David, you mad bastard. How's life? Yeah, good, thank you. How are you guys? Yeah, good, thanks, mate. Where are you calling from, David? Sunny Christchurch. Oh, yeah. Nice.
26:59Mogey:Whereabouts, Dave, in Christchurch?
27:02Keyzie:Well, currently in traffic at the moment. That's my favourite suburb. Good stuff. You love your rugby league, David. Yeah, I like a bit of rugby league. Who's your favourite Parramatta Eel? Oh, I don't really have a favourite eel. It's more the Waz. Yeah, that's a spirit brother. We hate the eels. Yeah, this guy gets it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Totally. And who would you take with you, David? I'd probably take my brother as well. He's a mad rugby league player. What's his name, Ben? He does like the Bulldogs and stuff.
27:30Jase:That's right. What's his name? What's his name?
27:33Keyzie:Peter.
27:34Jase:Peter. Peter, yeah. He's a shocking bastard.
27:37Mogey:Peter, he is a shocking bastard. Yeah, I don't know. Who's Peter's favourite bulldog?
27:44Keyzie:I don't know who his favourite bulldog is.
27:47Jase:Is it Terry Lamb?
27:50Keyzie:I don't know.
27:51Jase:Or Hazem El Masri? Or is it Daryl Halligan? He hasn't played for a while, has he? It's been a while, man, yeah.
27:59Mogey:Yeah, he's out with injury, you're right. He's back this week, though. Okay, Dave, we'll chuck you on hold, mate. You're in the draw, all right? Super, thanks, boys.
28:06Keyzie:You're back, mate. G'day, Kelvin, you mad bastard. How's life? Ah, hoody J. I'm good, mate. How are you? Yeah, good, thanks, mate. What do you do for a crust, Kelvin? I'm a tugboat captain. Ah-ha! What?
28:19Jase:Really? You're tugging my boat, aren't you? Eh? Is that true, Kelvin? Are you pulling my boat, man? Are you? I'm sorry. Are you kidding, or are you straight up?
28:34Mogey:Totally straight up. Yeah, good.
28:35Jase:I think we've talked to you before, actually. Yeah, yes, we have.
28:37Mogey:Yeah, yeah, I ring at you guys all the time. You love it, man. Good on you, you backbone. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Try to win shit. This isn't shit, man.
28:44Jase:This is a trip to magic round, brother. I know.
28:48Mogey:Calvin, if you win, will you bring your boat? No, I can't. It'll take too long. Yeah, fair enough, mate. Okay, see, put a cross next to Calvin, Dilly, when you put him in the draw. Nah, don't worry, Calvin. You're officially in the draw, brother. Hopefully we'll see you there, all right?
29:01Keyzie:After us! After us!
29:04Jase:He gets it, man. He can't come, but he gets it.
29:06Mogey:Oh, your dog sounds weird. You're in the draw, Calvin. Hold on the line there. Dilly will sort you out there, mate. Once again, boystrip.co.nz. If you want to join us on the trip and be at all the same places, sit in the same area, go to the same functions, just book it through their website.
29:19Jase:I had a mate who said over the weekend, he goes, oh, I'm going to come over as well. I'm keen as for it, yada, yada, yada. He texted me this morning. He goes, hang on a minute. If I come over there, will I actually be spending hanging out with you, you guys, or will I be having to hang out by myself while you go off and do all big show stuff and horeki stuff? And I said, Nat, you'll be with us the whole time. All we do is hang out and drink and go to Caxon and go to the league. We're not going off anywhere else and doing other stuff. You'll be with us the whole weekend. Well, fellas, just on that.
29:51Keyzie:What? Got a bit of a proposal re-Magic Round. I just want you to keep an open mind. I'll talk about that next.
29:59Mogey:Right, okay. My mind is very closed when it comes to Magic Round, mate. It's rugby league and responsibly having a few beers. Sure. Does it involve that?
30:07Keyzie:Well, it involves Brisbane.
30:11Mogey:Cool. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
30:17Keyzie:Gorillas there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday afternoon. The time is, wait, wait, 25 minutes past five o 'clock. So good. Bang on the dot. Now, fellas, we just did another draw for the magic round at Brisbane there. and I've been pondering something and I want to put it to you, a proposal. And as I said before, I just really want you to keep an open mind about this, okay? Don't just go in there with a dag, no, no, no, no. What? Just consider it before you poo-poo it. Okay. Okay? So you're, let me just get this straight,
30:57Mogey:you're proposing some sort of change to the Magic Ground formula. Yes. Okay. Well, the current formula is we fly to Magic Round in Brisbane, get responsibly steamed, watch lots of rugby league, and then stagger home again. Yes. Now, fellas, you know I love my rugby league. No, I don't. I don't think you do. Sorry, carry on.
31:18Keyzie:And I've heard, but I wouldn't know, that Brisbane is a beautiful city. It's got a beautiful sort of waterway. It's got galleries. It's got all sorts of cultural wonders. Caxton Street. And I'm the sort of guy that enjoys galleries and a bit of a cruise on the water there. I want to go and check those places out because in the madness of the magic round, we never get to do that stuff. And what I'm proposing is that myself and my wife, because I've had a shocker on the birthday front and the wedding anniversary front this year. She's pretty filthy with me. maybe splinter off and do a bit of big show cultural tour while you massive backbones enjoy the rugby league.
32:09Keyzie:Now, I know, I know, I know, I know we're a team and that you probably don't want a bar of it. But just, you don't have to give me an answer now, just think it through.
32:21Mogey:Right. Maybe ponder it and just give it some thought. So, what am I doing while that's happening?
32:28Keyzie:You're watching Rugby League and Sink and Pass. Oh, really? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That sounds good.
32:32Jase:Who's paying for your missus to go over? Well, me, obviously. You'd pay for that.
32:36Keyzie:Yeah, yeah, I mean, I'd pay for that. Have you looked at tickets? And she wouldn't, you know, she wouldn't sort of bother you fellas. No, no. She might have a bit of a word or two with Kesey, but...
32:47Jase:Yeah, I don't know. I mean, you've said there, Jase, that, you know, when we go over for Magic Round, we never get to go to, you know, galleries or rides on boats or anything like that. But the way I look at it, I don't know about you, Kesey, is that we never have to go to galleries or boring rides on boats.
33:05Mogey:So you're saying you want to do this during the magic round time? Yes, the exact same time.
33:11Keyzie:I just splinter off, you know, and I'll pop into the odd little thing there so you don't freak out, oh, where's Hoardy J? We need Hoardy J.
33:19Mogey:Who gets your tickets to the footy?
33:21Keyzie:Well, I mean, I'll still keep them in case I pop in.
33:23Jase:No, no, no, no, no, no, no, absolutely not. I would actually say, you know, given it's the magic round trip, Jase, what's the point of you going at all? Like we could take somebody else, flights, tickets, accommodation. You could just give it up, stay here. You could go to the art gallery down here. Well, at least it did not get carried away here, fellas. Well, like your wife's here already. You could do the show here. You could just do the show every day here.
33:48Keyzie:As I say, this is just putting it out there, testing the waters, testing the waters.
33:56Mogey:And how the waters feel at the moment.
33:57Keyzie:A little bit tepid. A little bit of urine in there.
34:00Mogey:Well, the thing is you can't just use this as an excuse to go to Brisbane and then not do any of the other stuff. As my initial view, I haven't pondered you.
34:07Jase:Although you are an albatross around our necks because you hate other people, you hate rugby league. You hate people talking to you.
34:16Keyzie:I don't know that I hate other people. Well, I mean, that's a bit extreme.
34:19Mogey:You've said it several times.
34:21Keyzie:Look, I can abide rugby league.
34:22Mogey:Leave me alone, I hate you, that sort of stuff. Yeah. So you can abide, yeah, cool, Magic Round, the perfect place for someone who abides rugby league.
34:28Keyzie:Yeah. So just think about it, fellas, and maybe give me your thoughts tomorrow. Okay.
34:34Mogey:Okay. Okay. Sounds like a plan. Actually, let us know your thoughts too on 3483. You listening right now. Every text in the drawer for$50, petrol money, courtesy of Toledo. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kesey. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
34:49Keyzie:Yes indeed, Pearl Jam there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday evening, the time 5.37.
34:57Jase:Fellas, I had a really weird dream about a member of the Big Show and it's got me feeling a bit skewered. Oh yeah. I've had a few of these lately. It's been a little while, but I've had a few of them. And this one I think comes out the back of the fact that I've had a mate staying with me. He's up here shooting a movie and so he's been staying with us off and on over the last sort of month or so. And this was a couple of nights ago. So I'm in bed there in my dream. I'm asleep. I'm reading my book and I've just... You're asleep reading your book. Sorry, I'm in bed. Sorry. I'm in bed. I'm reading my book.
35:33Jase:I'm about to go to sleep. I take off my reading glasses, which I have now, and I put down my book, which is an autobiography of Brad Thorne. Yeah, I saw you reading on the plane the other day. Is that for real? Backbone. It is. It is. Backbone. It was true in my dream as well, which is weird. That part's weird. What's it called? Backbone. Backbone shit with me, Brad Thorne. Oh, wow. That sounds great. So I put that down. I go to snuggle down. I'm about to turn off the light, as is my wife who lies in the bed to my right, when who should come through the bedroom door but you, Hoity J? Now you're talking.
36:07Jase:Now, that's pretty normal for a dream, I guess. I'm always a bit, I'm a little bit iffy as soon as it's, anybody else is in my bedroom in my dreams.
36:15Mogey:That's the thing, because you like, I quite often, like you guys.
36:18Jase:Dream about me in your bedroom?
36:20Mogey:No, not in my bedroom, but you guys might pop into my dreams at certain points, just because I spend so much time. So much time, exactly right. But the bedroom is weird.
36:26Jase:The bedroom, especially because if it was just me there, it would be fine, but my wife was in there as well, so I wasn't particularly pleased about that. Anyway, and you can't. Now, for some reason, and it's because it's a dream, I guess, but you're dressed like Pinocchio. When you say dress like Pinocchio Sort of a Lederhausen sort of thing A weird little hat Braces Yeah that works
36:45Mogey:And in your head you're like oh here's Pinocchio He's obviously told like a thousand lies
36:49Keyzie:And like a fake nose on sort of thing Like a big
36:53Jase:Anyway you come in You tuck me in so my hands are down by my side It's very tight It's a good tuck You've done very good there And you say night night Mogi And you pat me on the top of my head On your hair hat. My hair hat. Then you walk around to the other side of the bed, you tuck my wife in as well, and you kiss her on the cheek, and you say, good night, darling. Okay. That is weird. And I woke up in the morning, and I just thought, that's crook, man. That is crook, Jase. So can I just ask you that you don't do that anymore? Because you literally walked into his bedroom. That's my bedroom.
37:31Mogey:And you tucked him in, which is fine, I guess, because you guys know each other. but then the bit with the wife...
37:35Jase:Although I found the patting on the head a bit condescending, if I'm honest. Very condescending, yeah.
37:39Keyzie:Well, I just know that you've been struggling with your sleep at the moment, you know, and I just like to know that old Moogies, nice and tight in bed.
37:47Jase:And I appreciate that part of it, but as Keezy says, it's kissing my wife on the cheek and saying goodnight, darling. I just need that to stop.
37:54Mogey:It's the wife part.
37:56Jase:Oh, okay.
37:57Mogey:So like Moogie being tight in bed's fine.
37:59Jase:Yes.
38:00Mogey:But it's the wife.
38:01Jase:You've got to stay away from my wife. Okay. Can you just say yes?
38:05Mogey:I don't understand why you're struggling. It's taking a long time to get you to agree with us. Why can't you just agree to stay away from his wife?
38:09Jase:All I'm saying is it's weird that you would do that in the first place. Well, I mean, she didn't find it weird.
38:14Mogey:How do you know? You weren't in the dream. Well, you weren't. He was in the. Did she find it weird?
38:18Jase:Was it a dream? She sort of looked over at me and she raised her eyebrows like, is this guy for real? Yeah. And I had to say yes.
38:27Mogey:He is 100 % for real. Yeah, yeah. So can you just say you will never do that? Like, I don't understand why this is so hard for you to just say, I won't do that again. Look, I can't say that, Keezy.
38:40Keyzie:I can't say that. That's weird. Why not? Just say it.
38:44Mogey:Like if it was me like, Mogi, I'll never do that ever again. Thank you. I'm sorry I made you uncomfortable. Thank you, Keezy.
38:49Keyzie:I just can't. I just can't say it.
38:54Mogey:Sorry, Mogi. This is weird. I don't know what's up with him. Like he's done something wrong and he won't apologise and he won't.
38:59Jase:I think probably because he knows if he tells me that he won't do it again, his nose will do that thing where it grows again. It'll get even bigger, yeah.
39:09Mogey:Here's Ziggy Pop! I love honker jokes. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
39:16Keyzie:Kings of Leon there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday evening. The time is 5.49, which means it's time for...
39:27Mogey:What's on the news? With me, King. Easy. Fellas, do you remember a year ago?
39:38Jase:If it starts with do you remember, it's not news. And a year ago. Well. This isn't walk down memory lane or today in history.
39:49Mogey:No, no, no. Or is it?
39:50Jase:That would be good.
39:51Keyzie:Today in history would be really good. That would be really good. Every show does that. Better than this steaming pile of.
39:56Mogey:Hang on. Well, you've got to let me finish the sentence first before you diss my news. Okay. Do you remember a year ago when some thieves broke into a van and stole a whole lot of stuff from the Highlanders? No.
40:09Jase:No.
40:10Mogey:You don't remember that? No. Some thieves broke in, they stole a whole lot of stuff from the Highlanders. It's hardly news.
40:16Keyzie:Yeah, I heard you.
40:16Mogey:Super rugby team.
40:17Keyzie:Why would I remember that, Kesey? I've got a lot going on in my life. Why would I remember a stupid thing like that?
40:24Jase:Something of such little importance.
40:26Mogey:Oh, no, it was thousands of dollars. To anyone. Ah, sure.
40:29Jase:Money comes and goes, Kesey. As long as no one was hurt. Was anyone hurt?
40:32Keyzie:No. Now, that would be news. It would be. Did they find, like, 45 kg of Coke?
40:39Mogey:No. In the Highlanders van, no. Why would they find that in there? Well, that would be news. No, I know. That would be big news. That would be huge news. I would have heard of that. Yeah, 100%. What happened? Someone broke into a van. Ah. And it had a whole lot of Highlanders stuff in it, owned by the Highlanders Super Rugby team, and including, get this,$12 ,000 worth of mouthguards. $12 ,000 worth of mouthguards.
41:11Jase:So they'd get some more or...?
41:13Mogey:Well, yeah, obviously they had to get some more, Mogey. I mean, yes. But the interesting thing about...
41:18Keyzie:It's taking everything in my power not to slap you right now, Keezy.
41:23Mogey:Jase, bring it on, sucker. But also, just let me get to the point. The reason why it's relevant today is that today... Oh, it's the same day, David. No, no, no. I remember that.
41:37Keyzie:It was a good ad. It's the same day, David.
41:41Mogey:Why would that be news? It's just quoting an ad from ages ago. Yeah, well, it's better than this. No, the reason why I bring it up is because today a woman was sentenced today for receiving the stolen equipment. belonging to the Highlanders.
42:00Jase:Because if I remember correctly, he was sitting in a wheelchair at the hospital and she threw a speed camera ticket had come in the mail and threw it at him. And then she said, it's the same day, David. That was the thing. And he'd been in that crash. So it said to her, he'd been speeding. Yes. And therefore the fault of the crash was probably his. and he didn't say anything. He just continued to stare out the window. I was pretty upset about it.
42:31Mogey:She was sentenced to six months home detention. Who was? For that? There was a disagreement between a wife and a husband.
42:38Jase:That was an ad.
42:40Mogey:I'm talking about the news story.
42:43Keyzie:She had every right to be fuming. He was a shocking bastard. It was the same day, Kesey.
42:48Mogey:The guy on the ad? Yes. Anyway, that was What's in the News with me, Kesey. I hope you liked it.
42:55Jase:You could actually, Keezy, you could learn from that, man. I would love some news that was from the same day, Keezy.
43:02Keyzie:Okay, I'll look into it. It's highly suspect.
43:07Mogey:The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
43:13Keyzie:It is the biggest and it's brought to you by Toledo's.
43:16Mogey:All the good stuff, no nasties. Try Toledo's natural electrolyte drinks today.
43:26Mogey:Oh, gulp it down.
43:28Keyzie:Now you're drinking.
43:30Mogey:Okay, guys, I'm starting to sense we're losing our way with the Toledo's slogans.
43:36Keyzie:Well, you... Do you know what I think? Mogi was starting us off on a high. Yeah, it's true. And then you just dropped your bundle there, Keezy. What did you say?
43:45Mogey:I can't even remember.
43:46Keyzie:Yeah, well, there you go.
43:47Mogey:It was obviously memorable. Goo-boo.
43:49Jase:Goo-goo-ga-ga.
43:51Mogey:Is that what I said? Yeah. Someone's text through here. Kimmy. on 3483 with a great idea. Why don't you take the tequila song and then when it comes to the part where you say tequila, instead you say Toledo.
44:04Jase:Okay, let's do it.
44:05Mogey:All right, you ready? Here we go. So this is what it would be like, Jason, and you to buy in on this, all right? Here we go.
44:14Jase:Yeah.
44:19Jase:Toledo. That's not bad. 100%. That's right. We have to play the tequila music underneath at the start of every hour and then have our read and then we're ready to go with Toledo. So I think that's what we try. But it takes like two minutes to get to that point in the song. Well, we set it up so it's not as long as that. You want it to be longer. We don't start it from the start. Have you heard of editing, Kese? Come on, man. Wake up. Are you kidding me right now? Of course I've heard of editing. Look, all we're trying to do is make something really cool. We've brought it to you and you're poo-pooing it, man.
44:48Jase:You're just throwing out roadblocks, man. I'm sorry. That's not how much work Horty J and I have put into that, bringing that to you, Matt. I did all that.
44:55Mogey:What Dilly did, but I asked him.
45:00Keyzie:Hey, now listen. What? Keep those texts coming on 3483. What's for dinner? Oh, shoot. You could win yourself 50 bucks from Toledo's.
45:09Mogey:That's right, 3483. I want to know where you are, what your name is, and what is for dinner. In the meantime, here's She-Hard. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
45:21Keyzie:The Black Keys there on the Radio Hodaki Big Show this Tuesday evening. The time's 6.25, which means it's time for Teamless Tuesday.
45:32Keyzie:This is Breaking News.
45:34Mogey:We said that we were going to do Breaking News.
45:36Keyzie:Oh, did we? Sorry, you were talking about league and I just fade out. I just zone out when you talk.
45:47Mogey:That's fair enough, man. It's only the best game on the planet ever.
45:50Jase:Everybody knows it, but it's all good, man. It's not for everyone.
45:53Mogey:Hey, Mogi, what's the huge breaking news?
45:55Jase:Well, the huge breaking news there, Kesey, is that Luke Metcalf, who has been out for nine months with an ACL injury, had a blinder a lot of people felt last year at halfback and was leading the Dally M's before he went out, was due to return in the sixth round this year.
46:09Mogey:He's back this week, baby. He's back early, Hoity J. Pardon? And the big worry was, Mogi.
46:15Jase:The big worry was that he would come back and he would replace Tanner Boyd. Yes. My big worry, who's been having an absolute blinder at number seven. No need to worry. Metcalf is back in the side, but he is playing six.
46:28Keyzie:Where's Egan going to play? He's a hooker. He remains a hooker. Oh, is that nine?
46:31Jase:Yeah, yeah. He's been there his whole career, so that's all good.
46:33Mogey:The person you're thinking of is Chanel Harris-Tavita.
46:35Keyzie:Yeah, who got concussed.
46:37Mogey:He was concussed two weeks ago, correct? Yes. So he's back this week, but he'll be coming off the interchange. He's a very good utility player. And for those that aren't aware, we are talking about the Warriors. Yeah, the Warriors. We haven't mentioned the Warriors. So it's really exciting because Luke Metcalf was, as you mentioned, he was the best player in the competition, voted by all of the experts that vote up until the midway point of the season. Got injured, been out ACL, big injury too. Takes a while to come back from that. Now he's back and Tanner Boyd in the first three games has played so well that at least at this stage on paper, it looks as though he's going to be joining him and he's made way for Tanner Boyd and he's been put in the 5.8.
47:12Mogey:That's right.
47:13Jase:And you'd have to think that it's a bit of a no-brainer given how well that Boyd is going. What Metcalf does have that Boyd didn't show last year is a running game. He's got a great running game, but I think Tanner Boyd has got a far better ability to control and direct the team around the park and his kicking game is unbelievable, which Metcalf just simply does not have. So what Boyd can do is continue to do that and give Metcalf reign to run. And you've got that option with Boyd as well.
47:41Mogey:And he can run too. It's so exciting, Jase. It's exciting because last week we got Barnett back, Mitch Barnett, who was our captain of the interchange. This is mainly for the listeners, man. Sorry, me and Moggy aren't doing this to tell you. I mean, we already know about it.
47:57Keyzie:You shouldn't because I'm not listening.
47:58Mogey:No, I know. We're telling the listeners. There are people listening to us right now.
48:01Jase:Really?
48:03Mogey:Hopefully.
48:05Jase:Another interesting point here, Keezy, is that CNK is back.
48:10Mogey:Charles Nichol Klukstar is back at fullback. He got concussed as well, eh?
48:13Jase:He got the deduge, man. Yeah, he did. And who's our mate at, why can't I remember him? Taupiki has been dropped back. Yeah, he's been dropped completely, which is a shame. A lot of people feel like he should be in the team, but he's not. So just get over it, man.
48:28Mogey:We're taking on the Tigers. That game is 8 p.m. this Friday. I love a Friday 8 p.m. game. It's here in Auckland 2, Mount Smart Stadium. Can't bloody wait. Should be a W, you'd think. The Tigers missing a few people through injury as well. Fellas, by the way, we've teamed up with Betcha to run a Radio Hauraki Potheads pot. Now, this is going to be a situation where, now I'm still coming to grips with how this works, but we're going to build a pot of cash, listeners' cash and my cash, and then I'm going to place the bet, and then hopefully we're going to make money based on me. The listeners have to put their faith in me.
49:05Mogey:If you are keen to join in on the action, download the Betcha app, jump into BetSocial, We'll use the invite code BACKBONE to join in. You can also interact with us there and chat with me on the app. Help me choose what we're going to put money on. This week it's going to be the Warriors taking on the Tigers. Don't know what the bet's going to be yet, so make sure you jump in there and do that. R18 bet responsibly, of course.
49:24Keyzie:Great stuff. Let's go, Bush.
49:27Mogey:I like what you did there. That's good, man.
49:29Keyzie:Thanks, man.
49:30Mogey:The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike, and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
49:36Keyzie:You too there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday night. We've got more breaking news.
49:46Jase:This is Breaking News. That's right. In a sudden and tragic accident, Chuck Norris has passed away. The actor and martial artist, perhaps best known for his role in early Bruce Lee film Enter the Dragon or Way of the Dragon.
50:05Mogey:What about Walker, Texas Ranger?
50:06Jase:Nobody knows any of that. Kesey, I'm getting to it. Oh, God. Just, Keezy, this is how you do it. Well, it was. What do you mean this is how you do it?
50:16Mogey:Are you kidding me? This is not how you do it.
50:17Jase:Perhaps best known as, and then I'm going to go through a list of the credits and then you just jump in with Walker, Texas Ranger. Which was crap. Absolute shithead. And it's one of the worst things that he ever did, and are you going to put that on the list? Well, I'm talking about goddamn Bruce Lee. Disrespectful, man. Have you watched a Bruce Lee movie before, Keezy?
50:34Mogey:Yeah, into the first.
50:37Jase:Way of the first.
50:37Mogey:Way of the first. What the hell was I watching?
50:46Jase:Tragic. Lone Wolf McQuaid, The Octagon. Knuckles. There was one where you had Silent Rage, actually, that I remember as a child watching in my home, and it was about this guy that was a killing machine, Jase. He was on the angel dust. Right. And you couldn't kill him, and he just kept on coming. But it was one of those ones where you think he's dead. It was a real 80s thing where they, maybe it was earlier, but they'd have a thing where you think somebody's dead and then they're not dead. They keep coming back. Like Terminator 2? No, well, yes, but also I guess like the Friday the 13th and all of that sort of stuff as well, you know.
51:19Jase:They just won't die. And I remember being scared and I went and hid in my bedroom because this guy just wouldn't die. Very, very good movie. I think it's got about 31 % on Rotten Tomatoes. That's Silent Rage. Can I just quickly, just quickly on breaking news,
51:33Mogey:and I know Mogi's doing this, and Mogi, you're doing a great job. Thanks, man.
51:36Keyzie:This is how you talk about news stories. No, no. Well, it was.
51:39Jase:I was really going to roll with that one. That really annoys me.
51:41Mogey:I apologise for that. But it's just that Chuck Norris died on Saturday. And we keep talking about it on Tuesday. This is not breaking news. Breaking news is it's just broken.
51:51Jase:No, but I'm breaking the news. But it's already been broken. No, no, no. But I'm breaking the news on this show because it hasn't been on this show before. Exactly. And at least it's not a year ago. It's only three days ago. Compared to your news, Keezer, that you break.
52:06Mogey:No, but there was a current element to it.
52:08Jase:This news is so new. This is so new to be new. This is so breaking. It's like Chuck Norris isn't even dead. It's like he's still alive at So Fresh. It's like he's just about to die.
52:20Mogey:He's been dead for like three days, four days, probably.
52:25Jase:So what you're saying is you're going to report on this in a year.
52:30Mogey:That's not what I'm saying.
52:31Jase:And you're jealous that I've broken your breaking news.
52:33Mogey:I'm not jealous of your news. It's not starter. Keezy's jealous of Mogi's news.
52:36Keyzie:And if you're going to be breaking this story in a year, you'll be lucky to have a job if you carry on this way.
52:42Mogey:Whoa, Jase is going to fire me. Breaking news, Keezy's fired. I went, it was three days ago. No, seriously, Jase, don't fire me, though, man. I need the job.
52:51Jase:So pretty tough day for everyone. He had a sweet ginger moustache. Yeah.
52:59Keyzie:That was fantastic, Mogi. It was moving. It got to the point. It nailed all the salient points. Good work, man. Thanks, man. Just take note. Take a few notes there, Keezy.
53:10Mogey:Fine, I'll take notes. It was also ancient news. Do you guys want to go into a song?
53:18Jase:I don't think I'm done for the day. I get it, man. I get it.
53:23Mogey:No, do you want to go to a song? Thanks for nothing, Keezy. All right, we're going to go to ads. Screw you guys. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
53:38Keyzie:Well, there you go, you mad bastards. That's the big show done and dusted this Tuesday. What's the podcast outro clip today, Keezy?
53:46Mogey:Today's podcast outro clip, outro comes out at 7.30, by the way. Search Hodaki Big Show. Where you get your podcast from is car chat.
53:55Keyzie:He said, I'll need to do work on the car that's two grand. And I went, oh, okay. and then he did work on it and it cost three grand. And I was like, what? Did he call you? No, he didn't tell me. Did you pay it? I did.
54:09Mogey:Arsehole. Arsehole for just charging you an extra grand and not even calling you.
54:13Keyzie:Yeah, I should have. But, you know, I'm a soft cock. Yeah, you are. But surely we can talk about this guy now. No. No one cares. No one knows the business. No, because he's a lovely guy. He's not. He's a nice guy. He's a nice guy. He's a shocking man. Your car is still being in.
54:29Jase:Get him. Yes.
54:31Keyzie:Some old mechanical dramas from back in the day. I've had some mechanical dramas as well, aren't I, fellas?
54:37Jase:You sure are, man. Because I'm trying to get my car fixed, but then the mechanics burnt down. Burnt down. It's not even a joke either.
54:45Mogey:It's the one in Ponsorby that was on fire last week.
54:47Jase:I hope they're all right. They're lovely fellas in there. Not like your guy.
54:50Mogey:It's crazy because they'd rather burn down their shop than work on your teeter.
54:54Jase:I don't think you can make light of this sort of thing, Keezy. That's shocking. Yeah, come on, man.
54:59Keyzie:I'm just trying to add a few lols there. Jeez, that's shocking. What are you having for dinner tonight, Keezy? I'm sorry.
55:04Mogey:That's a good question. Mince burritos.
55:07Jase:You're living like a king over there, bro.
55:09Keyzie:He loves a burrito, doesn't he?
55:11Jase:He does. He loves a burrito. Well, I don't actually have one on Friday. Anything for ripping ass, because, yeah, you've had two this week.
55:17Mogey:Well, yeah, I have had two with him.
55:18Keyzie:And can I remind you, Mo, it's Dumpling Wednesday for Keezy tomorrow. Oh, yeah, tomorrow. I love Dumpling Wednesday. So he'll be absolutely busting at the seams.
55:26Mogey:Why do you guys care whether...
55:28Keyzie:You're going to be doing some epic steamers.
55:31Mogey:They are going to be epic. I'm excited. You're going to be such a big unit, Keezy. That's fine, man. As long as I'm still Keezy at heart.
55:39Keyzie:Well, your heart's going to be covered in cholesterol. As soon as I said heart, I was like, here you go.
55:44Mogey:As long as your heart doesn't give out. What are you having for dinner tonight, Jase?
55:48Keyzie:Well, I told you the bachelor's handbag, is it called? The old chicken? Oh, yes. You told us that three hours ago. Well, you just bloody asked me again. A salad. I'll get a salad and I'll make a little green salad when I get home
56:02Jase:that sounds good well just make sure you get changed I don't want you getting any of it on that new shirt yeah thanks fellas
