0:01The Horeki Big Show with Toledos. Rehydrate the right way with real ingredients and natural colours. Don't fight it. It's time to go up a size. This is the biggest, biggest, biggest, biggest, this is the biggest, biggest show. The Horeki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keyzie.

0:21Keyzie:Oh, g'day you mad boss. It's great to have your company on this absolutely stunning autumn day. It is the 29th of April, 2026. And you, my friends, as always, listening to The Big Show, brought to you by Toledo's. Out with outdated hydration, in with Toledo's. The new standard in clean electrolytes.

0:48Keyzie:Toledo's! G'day, Moogie, Estelle, and how's life? Going pretty grousey, you mad dog, you sick son of a bee. What a bloody beautiful day. It's incredible. Hasn't it been amazing? I was talking to my wife going for a stroll today, and I said, you know, this whole talk of the seasons have shifted. Absolutely. I completely agree. I completely agree. Now, I just said, you know, we're having a bit of a late summer. You called it an Indian summer, which I thought was completely out of line. But I was shocked today when I walked to the office, and I found you sunning yourself outside Whitcalls on Queen Street.

1:22Yes. Is that what you do these days?

1:24Keyzie:Yeah, totally. Well, it's my hood, man. You know, there's not a lot of space in the apartment for me. We don't get a lot of direct sunlight. No. So, yeah, outside Wickles there in the Speedos, it's getting a bit of D, Keezy. Getting some D. Do you mean vitamin D or the other kind? A mixture. Yeah, nice, man. Beggars can't be choosy. Half and half. Oh, are you begging? How are you going, Keezy? Yeah, pretty good there. Feelers, can't complain. I just looked at the weather app just after your comments about it being an Indian summer, which you can't say, by the way, Jason. Did I say that? Completely online.

1:57Keyzie:Did I say that off air or something? It was the voice as well. It's just not good. But the next two weeks, pretty much sun's all around. Wow. How good. It is certainly an Indian summer, that's for sure. What? Nothing, man. Hey, Mogey. Hey.

2:15What's happening on the big show with old Mogey? Another opportunity, another couple of opportunities to get yourself into the draw for Magic Round. We're off to Brizzy to see Buckball League, including the Warriors versus the Brisbane Broncos. The draw is this Friday at 5pm. You need to make sure you get yourself into the draw. Listen out for the cue to call. Give us a bell on 0800 Hauraki. We've also got Alex Tarrant and Vinnie Bennett. Can I say that they're Hollywood superstars, Jase?

2:42Keyzie:Sure. Okay. They're Hollywood superstars, and they're coming in to talk about their, well, it's actually a docudrama, Sergeant Hane. They'll be in later on after 5 o 'clock if I had to guess. And coming up next, fellas. Coming up next, we're going to be talking about our celebrity crushes after Kesey had an absolute shocker last night. Did I? Absolute shocker. Do you like Metallica? Yeah. The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. Yes, indeed, the killers there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this glorious Wednesday afternoon. The time is 13 minutes past four o 'clock. Hey, fellas.

3:23Let's chat celebrity crushes, eh? Because last night I was on the couch there with my wife. We were watching tally together. Oh, yeah. And you know how she's got that celebrity crush?

3:32Keyzie:Yeah, with that location, location guy. No. Very attainable. Can I say that? Yes, very attainable. Not setting the bar too high. Just some ball-headed freak show. No, sorry, sorry. Hang on. You're getting your wires massively crossed. Oh. She's got a crush on the host of Grand Designs New Zealand. Oh, Grand Designs. Okay. New Zealand as well. Yes. Yeah. Not one of the good ones. And he's an older guy, isn't he? No, he's like 40. Oh, yeah. You're thinking of the host of the English one. No, no, I know the guy you mean. He's a good-looking bastard. And she's got a thing for Jeremy Clarkson, hasn't she?

4:06No, she really does not. She really does not. So she likes the hosts of Grand Designs New Zealand, and she's even worked with him before because she used to work for TVNZ. Yeah, so it's not really a celebrity crush. It's somebody that she knows that she's really keen on. It's a work crush. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Wow. My celebrity crush is Bex Sandys. Oh, from Radio Hauraki. From Days. Yeah, Hauraki Days. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I've seen her around on the billboards and that. But anyway, yeah. And Greg Preble. Prebs. Yeah. Dream on, mate. You dream on. Prebs isn't anyone's backup, mate. He's his own man.

4:47He's his own man. Tokes. But anyway, last night we were on the couch and we were watching TV and I said, you know what? Because I was thinking about how she had a crush on a celebrity and I was like, you know what?

4:58Keyzie:You're still fuming about it, aren't you? Well, I wasn't fuming and no, I wasn't paying it back. Like there's nothing to pay back. But we were watching, as luck would have it, location, location, location, the UK one. Oh, you're not. Come on, man. And I was like, you know how I quite fancy? And like she's older than me, but the woman off location, the English woman. Are you joking, Keezy? Kirstie? I think it's Kirstie. I don't know her. You don't even know her name, Keezy. Come on, man. That looks class, brother. Kirstie? Is it Kirstie and Phil? Yeah, Kirstie. I like her, man. She's funny. You mean in a sort of a she'll do kind of way?

5:37No, I would never like anyone in a she'll do kind of way. I like her in a, like, she's quite funny and a bit spunky. Funny looking. No, she's a good looking lady. and I think it's like she helps people get their house. She's good with her hand on her hip. She always has her hand on her hip and she's a bit sassy, which I love as well. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then I said that. But what? I said sassy. Oh, sassy. What did you think I said? Assy.

6:00Keyzie:Is she assy? Maybe. I get it, Keezy. My inclination too is older. What do you mean? Well, you know. You like older people. Yeah, well, you know what I mean in terms of back in the day. Yeah, yeah, right. But then my wife was kind of like, oh. And then she was like, oh, I don't know if I want you watching location, location, location now. And then I was like, well, that's all we watch. And secondly, we always watch Grand Designs New Zealand. Yeah, and that's all good. That's all G for you to be, you know. Yeah. So she was just a bit. Dribbling. She was a bit. Oh, she's not dribbling. Not since I've got to the bib.

6:36Keyzie:Funnily enough, my wife actually admitted to me the other day because she went Pedro for a while. Who's Pedro? I think that's run of the bell. Pedro Pascal, yes. But then she said, oh, I have to say, oh, Ryan Gosling in Behind the Pines. Behind the Pines? Beyond the Pines. Beyond the Pines. That was hot. He's on a motorbike. He's got the bleach blonde hair. He's got the tats. So I've just been inundating her with nudie shots of him. Nice. But anyway, yeah, me. So the lady from Location, Location, Location. And I was just wondering on 3483, you know, does anyone have a celebrity crush? Yeah, especially a weird one like that.

7:14Well, it's not weird. It's just, don't yuck my yum. And it's very, hang on. 3483, do you have a celebrity crush, and do you tell your partner about it? Yes. And does it make things weird? Every text on 3483 in the draw for 50 bucks cash.

7:27Keyzie:I am like, you know, powerful woman. Oh, you're like Helen Clark. More you're Jenny Shipley. You mean powerful, like strong bastards. Well, both. Like Val Alice. That could pick me up and throw me down. So any woman then.

7:50Audio slave. The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

8:00Keyzie:The Verve Pipe there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Wednesday afternoon. The time is 27 minutes past four o 'clock. We're talking kind of in inverted commas celebrity crushers. Why only inverted commas? Well, because you're one such a shocker that... I mean, I wouldn't... I mean, I don't mean she's a shocker. I mean, I wouldn't say she was a huge celebrity. Sure. She's a massive celebrity. She's a... For... For... TV, I guess. Hang on. What's wrong with TV? I guess what... You know, this is an interesting part of it, I guess. You're going to bring this up to your partner and you're going to get judged, aren't you?

8:39Totally, man. So is she going to say, who do you think you are? And get offended by the fact that you've got a crush and then you're not allowed to watch the show anymore, as is the case with Keezy, his wife fuming about it. Or is she going to be disappointed in your terrible taste, as is the case with Keezy and his wife? Well, no, no. Yeah, what it is. So what does that say about me? Thank you. No, because remember, just a reminder, my wife has a crush on the Grand Designs New Zealand guy. And Chris Luxon. No, she doesn't. Stop throwing random bald dudes in there. That's not how it works. It's specifically the Grand Designs New Zealand guy.

9:15And I think he's a great fella as well. And I've got a crush on Kirstie Alsop from Location, Location, Location UK, who has 437 ,000 followers, Jase, on Instagram. So she's a big deal. She's now got one extra. Gave her the old follow there. and also on 3483 a few people backing me up hey Keezy I'm backing you bro Kirstie Alsop is hot flame emoji who's that from? don't know who it's from don't want to know hands off g'day this is from Jeremy I always thought Kirstie had a little something going on as well Keezy that's from Jezza

9:52Keyzie:well there's no I mean I I'm not judging you on it Keezy I mean fill your boots fill my boots with what? watching her on telly Well, exactly. Yeah, I'm going to. Maybe actually when your wife's doing her volleyball or whatever she does. She plays squash. Squash. You can just have, like, marathon sessions of Kirstie. He does. No, I don't. I like watching it with my wife. Oh, yeah. That's pretty freaky, actually, Kirstie. I didn't know you had that in you. So you watch it with. I don't have anything in me. You watch it with your wife, right? Yeah, most nights. Kirstie's like, and then. Get all hot under the collar.

10:30Keyzie:And then you switch over to, what is it? Grand Designs. Grand Designs, and your wife's like, whoo. Yeah. And then when we're both getting too hot and heavy, we put on Wellington Paranormal, and then we both cool right off. A lot of people texting in, though, man, with their celebrity crushes. And I'm also getting a bit of a thing for guys like me who like a sort of older woman. I don't know what it is, because Kirsty, she'd been 20 years older than me, I'd say. Wow. 30 or 40 I would have thought Well no she's not that old Certainly doesn't look it fellas Actually I knew I had a bit of a crush on her Because on one of the episodes lately She fell down the stairs No hang on So she's funny No she was in a hospital So she's sort of like a Laurel and Hardy No I don't even know what that No She fell down the stairs and was out of action for 6 weeks So?

11:26And I felt bad about it

11:27Keyzie:Oh you felt bad about it I was like, oh, maybe I do, you know. Yeah, right. You're worried about her than that. Yeah, I was. What's her name again? Kirsty Elsop. Kirsty Elsop. But Phil here's texting. Susie Cato is my crush. Oh, yeah. Pugs is a big thumbs up for that. G'day, guys. I could watch Nigella Lawson all day, every day, and I don't even like cooking. Thumbs up from Pugs as well. Well, a lot of people watch Nigella that don't like cooking. That's true. But it's a similar thing. What do they call it? Food porn. No. No. Oh. That sort of thing. I mean, didn't the British press label her show food porn?

12:03I've got no idea. I don't know where this is coming from. I don't know what you're talking about. I don't like it. Completely derailed it. Yeah. Oh, God. It's awkward now. Another thumbs up from Pugs there. Unrelated. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. Welcome back. The Big Show. Magic round three beat. Let's put another mad bastard on the bench.

12:30Keyzie:Yes, indeed. Getting very close, fellas. Very close, indeed. Two weeks, two weekends away. Just over two weeks away there, Jase. Mid-May, myself, you, old Mogey over there, and Pugsan, and two winners heading over to Brisbane Suncorp Stadium to watch eight games of Rugby League three nights in a row. I'm starting to get a bit, I'm starting to get equal measures fizzed up and a bit worried. Yeah, I'm thinking, Keezy, are you doing any sort of training for this? Jase just spat everywhere as he said that, by the way. Yeah, well, he's got a mouthful of chips. Yeah, is that what that is? Yeah. Have you been doing any training for it, Keezy?

13:05Keyzie:Like, you know, having a few beersies at night, just get the liver ready? Yeah, man. I'll be honest with you, Keezy, I'm worried about you and your drinking. Really? You've been doing bugger all this year. Shit house. Really? Because I was just sort of doing it for my health and that, but do you reckon I should, like, turn it up? Yeah, I mean, you haven't come in here all nasally or anything. I mean, yeah, I don't know. The audience loves it when you come in here. Green around the gills. An absolute sack. But yeah, been surprisingly mature around your drinking, which isn't like you at all. Yeah, because I just thought maybe I'd show up 100 % ready to go every day with a good attitude.

13:37Yeah. Do you want me to knock that on the head? I don't know. It feels like you're not happy about the fact that you haven't been drinking. Yeah, okay. So maybe just somewhere in the middle, you know. Just have a couple of dozen every night. Oh, okay. Just a couple of sniffers at night. A couple of snort skeezy. You love your red line now. Your red line. You heard the word snort and you said red line. You love your red wines now. I do. Responsibly.

13:59Keyzie:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyway, let's go to the phone lines. G'day, Simon, you mad bastard. How's life? Great, thank you. Good on you, mate. What do you do for a cross, Simon? Facility manager for the Crosshue City Council. Backbone. Backbone. Massive backbone. So you sort of deal with you getting your cleaners there, toilet supplies, etc., etc., water bottles, etc.? Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, backbone. Good on you. And tell me, Simon, were you lucky enough to win this prize? Who would you take with you? Good question. I'd have to check with the wife and then maybe a mate. Yeah, right. So, Simon, just off your gut instinct there, do you think your wife would be into sort of three nights of rugby league?

14:43Is she a big leagy? No, probably not. Yeah, okay. Okay, well, there you go. Does she like seeing you happy, though? Yep. I'll have to say yes. All right, Simon, you're in the draw, mate. You hold the line, all right?

14:56Keyzie:Good on you, mate. G'day, Jake, you mad bastard. How's life? Yeah, good, thanks, fellas. How are you? Yeah, good, thanks, mate. How's your day been, Jake? Oh, not too bad. Just finished mowing the lawns. Oh, yeah. Oh, nice. I love mowing the lawns, man. Jake, catch her on or catch her off? Oh, always on, Keezy. Yeah, nice. Tiny operation. I go catch her off. Actually, funnily enough, fellas, the one thing I do miss about being in town now is not mowing my lawns. What about farting on your tomatoes? Oh, yeah, but it's not tomato season, Moggy. What I do now to compensate is I buy a little punnet of cherry tomatoes and I fart into those and then slam the lid down again.

15:35Cool. Jake, do you do that with your tomatoes, man? Yeah, makes them pretty ripe. Yeah, straight away. ripe's a good word. They just turn instantly into sun-dried tomatoes with Jase. Hey, Jake, do you like your footy, mate? Yep, love it. Yeah, good, mate, I can tell. And sorry, what do you do for a crust, man? I'm an air traffic controller. Oh, true backbone. Really? Is that a lie, man? Nah, straight up. Straight up, I like it. Are you good under pressure, are you, Jake? Yeah, I'm not too bad, not too bad. Okay, what's six times eight? Oh, 48. Nice, that's good. That's good, man. That was just like...

16:17Nice, Jake. You're in the drawer as well, mate. Fingers crossed, all right?

16:20Keyzie:Cheers, fellas. Good on you, mate. G'day, Luke, you mad bastard. How's life? Yeah, good, fellas. How are you? Yeah, good, thanks, mate. Good, thanks. What are you... No, you go, Keezy. Oh, I'll go. Okay, you go. What do you do for a crust, you backbone? Nice. Well, I'm in the landscaping industry, actually, and I'm a site manager. Oh, backbone. Yeah, backbone. Do you fart on tomatoes, Luke? Not usually. Apparently banana skins might help. Oh, is that right? Oh, okay. Helps the tomatoes ripen up. Oh, right. I thought you meant fart on banana skins. Jase, you've got to stop farting on all your food, man.

16:57It's terrible. It's not good, man. If you happen to win this, brother, who would you bring with you? Probably get my mate up from the South Island, Corey. No, no, no. Yeah, no, not Corey. Not Corey, man. He's a teaser. He's an absolute punter. Yeah, he's the worst. He's the kind of guy, he tried to take photos with us for his website or something. Yeah, that's massively punter. Luke, you're in the draw, all right? You hold the line, brother. What's up? Love you, Luke. Hey, guys, just quickly, you've got to get yourself in the draw ASAP. We are drawing this Friday, 5 o 'clock. Yeah. We've got another chance to get yourself in the draw later on in the show today.

17:33Time is running out. What's the name of the song? Oh. By Muse.

17:37Keyzie:Muse. Do you guys mind if I eat chips in the break? Do we have any choice? Or during the break? The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. Yes, indeed. Liam Gallagher there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Wednesday afternoon. The time is 4.52. Let's talk TV. What's on the telly with Mike Minogue?

18:04Yeah. Fouls and that. I watched a film. I can't remember, Keezy. I'm blacking out, man. I can't remember if we talked about it already, but Crime 101. No. No. Good-o. Okay. It's film. I think it's set in LA. It's got one of the Hemsworth fellas, the Thor one. Chris. Chris. Thank you. I always get them mixed up. They all look the same to me, those Hemsworth boys. Yeah. Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo. Hemsworth, yeah, he's a jewellery robber sort of a fella. Mark Ruffalo is the cop that's trying to catch him. And Halle Berry is somebody that works at an insurance company, insuring these super rich people that have got all of these jewels.

18:49And it's the classic sort of one more for the road, get enough money, etc.

18:54Keyzie:So then we can just live our lives. Get on out with our lives. It looks pretty cool. It goes for two hours and 20 minutes probably when it probably needs to go for an hour and a half like everything. Good actors, looks good. Great car chasers, if you like car chasers. But the thing about Liz, and what I'm sort of realising as I get older, is now if I saw that movie when I was massively into films, like 16 to 25 years old, I would have thought it was unreal. But now that I'm almost 50, I've seen a billion car chasers and I've seen a billion crime movies. And so three buzies. Yeah, right. out of a possible five.

19:37Keyzie:Got to be honest with you, I'm not a fan of Chris Hemsworth. No, he's not great in this. I don't really like him as an actor. Look, he's sexy as, don't get me wrong. He's a stud, don't you? He's totally a stud. I saw him when he was trying to do an Irish accent and it was terrible. Right. And I just went, oh God. Oh, Jesus. But fellas. That wasn't bad, actually. I don't really do sort of TV and film anymore. I prefer to go to the theatre now that I'm in the CBD. Oh, sorry, mate. So I went to see A View from the Bridge last night at the Silo Theatre, I think it is. No, it's Silo Theatre. Superb.

20:15Keyzie:Brilliant. One of the best things in terms of theatre I've ever seen. Really sparse set. Very minimalist in terms of how they presented it, which means that all the onus has really put on the performances. and the performances from everyone in the cast, brilliant. Brilliant. And I don't mind admitting there were tears. Yeah. And there were moments of, oh, wow. They held the tension really well. Five buzzies out of five from Hoity J. Now, that's a view from the bridge, and we had Bueller, the lead actor, on our show a couple of weeks ago. Yes, we did. People might remember. We did a bit of improv together.

20:59He was superb. Great. Last night fellas We watched the first episode Even though we're one episode behind already Of Celebrity Treasure Island The new season on TVNZ Plus It's got a few big dogs on there You know you've got your Simon Barnett Radio big dogs as well Polly Gillespie Oh Yeah I'm going to be watching it now A few other big names on there as well I want to be honest I love this show And I always I love You do I do love the show I've watched every season I think Yeah Even back in the day And it didn't grab me Right. But it's just the first episode. I don't know. I've heard a few things.

21:33I saw a review that might have been on the spinoff or something, and they said, you know, you're on there for one day, and then somebody gets kicked off at the end of the first day. Somebody got kicked off, half a dozen people are crying. Yeah. What's going on? I don't know. So I don't know because I haven't seen – like, this was the issue too. We got to the end of the first episode and no one got kicked off. And I was like, oh, that's the payoff, man. You've got to kick them off. Kick them off. I have heard from people in the know that there is a huge amount of drama. Great. in this season. Well, that's all I need to hear.

22:00Because of the kind of casting that they've done, they've got a lot of influences there, they've got all sorts of people, people that aren't afraid to speak their mind, and my understanding is there is high drama. Great, because to be honest, I think it might have been the last season, there wasn't enough of that. Need more drama. So it's three episodes a week, which I think is too many. It's on TVNZ +, and I'll keep you abreast of what's happening.

22:24Keyzie:Great, because I think I'm changing my mind about it. Now, I'd like to go on that show and just be the biggest cretin possible. Yeah, well, you do it every day on our show. Yeah, that's the trick, man. If you're going to go on those shows, you have to be yourself. Yeah. Good point, Jack. Thanks for Alice.

22:41The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

22:47Keyzie:Welcome back, you massive backbones. Hope your Wednesday's going along tickety-boo. You are listening to The Big Show, brought to you by Toledo. Out with the old brands, they've had their turn. I reckon. Toledo's is here. Clean, mean hydration.

23:06Keyzie:Toledo's. You know what I was thinking, actually, fellas, with our trip to Brizzy, we should take a carton with us of Toledo's. Oh, I feel it. Because I've got a feeling we're going to need them. Take them to Brizzy? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, sure, whatever you need. That's a good idea, man. Pugs can just put it on his, you know, in his luggage, because he has cart stuff around anyway. So we'll just get a case of Toledo's. Yes. And take it over to Aussie with us. Are you allowed to do that? Yeah, I think so, yeah. Really? Yeah, well, it's sealed. Yeah, okay. I'd go off over there, though, wouldn't they?

23:38At Toledo's. Oh, they'd massively go off. I absolutely love them over there.

23:41Keyzie:I don't know if you guys know this about Australia, because I was there just recently. Oh, that's right. You were staying at a halfway house, weren't you? It's bloody hot. In Australia? It's very warm, fellas. Is that right? So while you're thinking, well, we're going to Brisbane, right? You're like, jeez, it's winter. I better pack my woolies. No, no, no, sir. Make sure you've got your T-shirts, your shorts, your jandles. Are you sure? She's hot as over there. So now we'll need some Toledos then. Yes, and we'll need, that's what I mean. We'll bring a case of Toledos. Actually, that's a good idea, Mogey.

24:14We should get Pugs to bring some of his luggage. Hey, Pugs, son. Pugs. Yeah, man. You all get to do that, man? He's ignoring us. He's got a real easy.

24:21Keyzie:I don't know what's going on with him, to be honest. Honestly, I'm over it. I offered him some of my stolen chips, and he had a mouthful of them and then spat it in my face. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I'm like, what's going on there, man? What's that about? Did he do that? Yeah, totally, man. Because that doesn't seem like something he'd do. I thought it was quite hot. But, I mean, jeez. Easy, tiger. But, yeah, we'll take some Toledos to Aussie. Yeah, sounds good. By the way, the last two times we've been to Magic Round, it's been bloody hot. It has been, yeah. So, yeah. I can't wait. Yeah. I can wait.

24:59I'm kind of, I don't know. It's 16 sleeps. I'm nervous. I just want to get to the airport, 7 in the morning, and just start drinking. No, responsibly. You're going to regret inviting me to this, I'm telling you right now. There's Velvet Revolver. The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Kesey. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

25:20Keyzie:Yes, indeed. Manic Street Preachers there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Wednesday evening. The time is 15 minutes past five o 'clock and it's on, fellas. The Breakfast V Big Show Challenge. We've been sort of having a bit of a tutu with ideas at the moment, trying to figure out what we want to do. But I believe, Keezy, we've received some audio from the Breakfast Show. We certainly have, Jase. And I think things are staring towards their suggestion, which was a bench press competition. Yes. One rep, the highest amount of weight, all four of us from each show going in together, adding all those weights together, the highest wins.

25:57It's pretty simple. Now, I believe this clip we're about to hear from the Brekkie Boys is from this morning, and it starts with us having a bit of a dig at Mania in particular. I think Mania would go pretty good because he works out. Well, he does go to the gym a hell of a lot. I mean, you wouldn't know if to look at him. Yeah, I was going to say, does he? Jeez, what a morning I've had. You know, sometimes you just check into work and you go, jeez, can't wait to see all my mates this morning. I'm looking forward to this this is going to be fun and then that kind of thing comes through yesterday when we talked about it they were the ones that wanted to go three on three not four on four yeah look I think the three on three is probably the way to go this sounds like a massive vote of no confidence in Zoe from you well I mean it's not quite apples and apples with all due respect to Zoe she's how many kilograms she stays to walk out but I mean okay so it was you saying we shouldn't have Zoe in this I was wondering where that'd come from no no it's not but now that I'm listening to what they're saying, I agree.

26:53I think simplify it. So what is it? Is it just cumulative highest successful bench press? So it only needs to be one push. Would make sense to me. Well, hopefully this settles whatever beef Mogey's got with me. Jesus.

27:08Keyzie:Well, if it's any consolation to Minaya, Mogey, I think he's our biggest threat in this challenge. 100 % he is. But at no stage, and you guys can agree or disagree with me, at no stage did we say three-on-three that I recall. I don't know where that came from. That's making shit up, man. Totally. It's four-on-four, cumulative weight. That's how it is. I mean, you've got to remember that two last time when we did the relay, Jerry didn't do it, so they subbed in lane. G Lane did it instead, yeah. You know what I mean? That was four-v-four. That's right. And also happy to have Zoe, a young person, participate in something where the advantage lies with that side of things.

27:50So happy for her to be faster, and now it might not particularly be in her favour. But the breakfast team versus the drive team. Thank you. Yeah, and the reason it has to be 4v4 is because when you line everyone up, like Minaya is definitely going to be their biggest threat because he can lift some tin there. I see him going head-to-head with old Pugsana. Yeah, same.

28:10Keyzie:I see this as a head-to-head Pugusana versus Minaya. Because Pugsana's got a real thing about Minaya as well. where he's going to be really fired up. Oh, yeah, absolutely. No, just to clarify too, so it's, you know, one, what do you call it? Rep. Rep. Oh, God. We are stuffed. But you get to do as many rep. How do you decide? I mean, you don't start off. I can tell you what, I'm confused now having just listened to that. You don't start off with like 40 and go, oh, I can't do that. No, correct. That would be a bad way to start because then your total would be zero. So you go to failure. So normally what you do is, in your example, Jase, you'd start off with the bar.

28:52And we'll have to hope for the best. Yes. But you want to get pretty close to whatever your weight's going to be, maybe 60 % or 70%, and then you go up. You keep on adding weight. Until you can't go up anymore. Until you can't go up anymore. It's like you're in the Olympics doing high jump. Yes. But you don't want to start so far away from your max that you're going to be buggered by the time you get to your max. I'm hearing you. Okay, so here's the situation, right? I'm not about to do any training, okay? Your wife is fuming about that. I feel like you should do some training. Sorry, you go, mate.

29:23So what we need to do, I'm not the kind of guy who's like, oh, I'm not going to get hench all of a sudden in two weeks to beat Brecky. I am as I am right now. I will maybe do a few warm-ups if we go to a gym just to remember how to do it, you know what I mean? Yeah, I think that's all it needs. Yeah, exactly, just to remember, hang on. But what I think we should do to gauge how strong we actually are is overnight go and do as many push-ups in one sitting without stopping as we can, and then come back tomorrow and report where we're at. Okay. And then we can sort of use that as a guide.

29:55Keyzie:I've started training. I'll be honest with you. My wife has these 2kg weights that she uses for Pilates. Are those pink ones? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, the pink ones. They're cute. So I've been smashing those bastards, fellas. So I'm feeling pretty cocky. Did you bench them? No, I do the booby thing, you know, where you sort of lift your arms up like you're flying? Like that. So you were flapping them around. I was flapping them around. So you were doing shoulder raises. Shoulder raises. For the bench press competition. And then I got on the carpet and I was like, do straight up, do straight up. And I was nailing it.

30:26Keyzie:I mean, it was tough initially. I understand that your wife had to call the landlord because you got trapped underneath them. Got pinned to the ground. One arm under each one. How heavy were they? Two kgs. Two kgs, yeah. That was a lot of weight. But there you go, breakfast. There you go. It's on. Four by four. 4. 4v4, 100 % it is. Next thing we have to figure out is what the punishment is. Can't wait for that.

30:50System of a down? Yeah, I think so. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki. Hey, everybody, it's Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters. Call now to win your favourite toy from the Foo Fighters on 0800 Hauraki.

31:06Keyzie:What the bloody hell? What, old Dave Grohl randomly popping up in the show? Yeah, totally. What's that about, Keezy? Good question there, Jase. Let's rip into it.

31:18Radio Horeiki, celebrating Foo Fighters' new album, Your Favourite Toy. That's right. So to celebrate the brand new Foo Fighters album, Mole Groley himself has dropped off a giant toy box full of some of his favourite toys. Yeah. Because the new album's called Your Favourite Toy. Yeah, yeah. That's clever. Have you heard the album, Jase? It's unreal. I haven't listened to it yet. Oh, yeah, she's a ripper. Really? Yeah, man, it's unreal. How good. Now, to look after the Hauraki faithful, as we said, Dave's dropped off a massive toy box of Grohl goodies into the studio. It could be a vinyl copy of the new album or a stack of other Grohl-approved loot.

31:54Now, you've heard the key to call. You ring up on 0800 Hauraki. This is happening throughout the day on Radio Hauraki as well. We randomly reach into Grohl's toy box, pull something out, and if you get through and you win a prize, you automatically go on the draw for a double pass to see the Foo Fighters live in Auckland or Christchurch when they are here at the beginning of next year.

32:11Keyzie:So you could be like a double winner, Kesey. Well, yeah, you could win a sweet toy. You could win an amazing toy. And go in the draw for that live gig. Yeah, how good. Which is pretty damn good. This is unbelievable. And they do one of the great gigs, don't they? They sort of play for about three or four hours or something. They're absolutely insane. Do they really? Oh, yeah, a huge amount of time. So if you haven't seen them before, you'll want to get along. How good. And why not go for free, fellas? How good would that be? And take your partner with you? You know? Oh, she'd sit on your shoulders, eh?

32:41Keyzie:Jase I'm not doing that again Alright Now fellas I've just randomly reached Into the toy box Alright Oh what did you get Okay I'm just pulling Something out of here What is it Oh wow It's a special edition Monopoly Oh Labyrinth theme And who's that On the cover there David Bowie Oh So cause you were In Labyrinth eh Jase Yeah I was We're talking the 80's Movie Labyrinth You played one of the What are they called The people in Labyrinth Hoggles Hoggle? Yeah, I played Head Hoggle. You were the Head Hoggle. Okay. All right. So whoever gets through right now gets a copy of Monopoly Labyrinth Edition as dropped off by Dave Grohl and also gets in the draw to go and see the Fooies live at the start of next year.

33:24Keyzie:Great stuff. G'day, Sam, you mad bastard. How's life? Good, buddy. How are you? Yeah, good, thanks, Sam. Thank you for asking. I really appreciate it. You had a good day, Sam? Yeah, good day up in Auckland. Oh, yeah. Beautiful day-to-day, wasn't it, mate? Yep, absolutely. So are you guys just catching up, Jason? Yeah, yeah. We haven't seen each other for ages, and it's been a while. Yeah, yeah. Hey, Sam, what do you do for a crust, man? Project manager, Keezy. Oh, yeah. Well done. You're an organiser, aren't you, Sam? Yeah, yeah. Would you say you're a mover and a shaker? Yeah, more of a shaker.

34:03Yeah, I thought, yeah, nice. And how long are you shaking, man? How long are you shaking for? Oh, that's five seconds, excuse me. That's too long, man. That's way too long. That's weird. Good stuff. At the urinal. That's really weird. Hey, Sam, good news, mate. You've won yourself a copy of Monopoly Labyrinth, and you're in the draw for a double pass to go see the Phuys, man. Yeah, but thanks, fellas. No worries, mate. That's a hell of a prize. You hold the line there, and old Pug-san will put you in the draw. Imagine seeing them, especially because they're coming to Auckland and Christchurch.

34:30Are they playing at the new stadium in Christchurch? I can only assume they are. Because if I, even though I'm in Auckland, I would almost choose the Christchurch one and make a bit of a weekend of it. Well, I noticed that because they had a few games down there, didn't they, over the weekend, I noticed one end they don't have any of the seating in there. So I can only assume that they want to be putting in the stage there. Is that the idea behind it? Maybe. I know that they've built it so that more seating can be added. Yes. So it's pretty exciting stuff. Very exciting.

34:53Keyzie:Just with that Labyrinth, is there a Hoity J card in that Labyrinth Monopoly? Yeah. With a pick of me there? Yeah, it is. Toggle? It's go directly to jail. Oh, how good. Yeah. Oh, good. Hey, coming up next, fellas, we've got a couple of actors coming in, Alex Tarrant and Vinnie Bennett, to celebrate the release of the brand-new movie Sergeant Hane, which is coming out, and also we're going to have double passes to give away to that movie as well. So make sure you stay tuned. The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. Yes, indeed. Nirvana there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show, this glorious Wednesday afternoon, fellas.

35:30Keyzie:Hey, Keezy and Mogi, do you guys like movies? Sometimes. Oh, yeah, occasionally, man. Yeah. I'm a big fan of movies, and with that in mind, we've got two superstars in the studio with us who are part of a movie that's just about to... Is it been released or about to be? Oh, it's out. I think it came out over the MZEK weekend, didn't it? A limited release. That sound about right, fellas? That sounds about right, and to say superstar, I really appreciate that. Yeah, no, totally, man. That intro was, mate, that was fantastic. Outside of the fact that you haven't mentioned their names, it was brilliant.

36:05Keyzie:It sounded good, but it lacked a lot of info. Alex Tarrant and Vinnie Bennett, the stars of the movie, Sergeant Hane. How are you going, fellas? Doing well. Doing well, thank you, mate. Thanks for having us. Now, just quickly for the listeners there, the story of Hane Manahi, 28th Maori Battalion soldier who took a mountain, changed the course of World War II in North Africa, and those who choose to remember. Now, what can people expect from this film? Because, you know, the Hauraki audience, they might have seen you in Fast and Furious. Perhaps. Yeah, but, you know. Well, there are many. Yeah, well, exactly.

36:39Or many other amazing things as well. But they might not be familiar with this kind of film. Yeah, so this is a film that's based around the 2-8 Maori battalion and the heroic actions of Lance Sergeant Hane Manahi and his band of cousins. Yeah, it's pretty unreal, isn't it? And to have this get made, because the director of, as I understand it, the director of Muru, he met a woman from the area, is that right? And she gave him the story. He wasn't aware of the background at all. Yeah, yeah. And he sort of got bullied into making this. That's exactly right. It's the law. You know, it's been, you know, bullying, but also it's been the greatest honour for all of us.

37:16I'm pretty sure I'm speaking on behalf of everyone, including yourself. Absolutely, yeah. Yeah, for sure. I saw some of the people that are involved in it as weapons. This is a docudrama essentially, isn't it? So you're cutting between reenactment, you guys back in the day at war playing out the story of the 2-8 Battalion and then also cutting to present day and having interviews with, I'm assuming, his relatives and people that knew him. The people that are involved in it, you've got Augie Davis. These are top level Hollywood people involved in this. This is not a cheap affair by any stretch of the imagination.

37:54No, no. Yeah, it's really not. And, you know, watching it, I've seen it twice now and both times, I'm just completely taken by how polished it looks and how, you know, it really looks world class. And honestly, like when I came on board to be a part of it, I was like this, you know, it felt very quick. It didn't feel like the budget was massive. The shoot, you know, we shot it over nine days or so. Oh, my God. That's full on. It's very quick. It's very quick. Well, imagine being there in real life back in the day, man. That would have been even more full on. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, you'd be there a bit longer in nine days.

38:36That's true. Because I'm just reading here, it's about the storming of a fortress in Tunisia. Yes. Yeah. So where did you guys film this thing? Tunisia. No, no. It looks like it. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, bang on. Good old Bethel's beans for everything, eh?

38:55Keyzie:Bloody hell, man. Far out. Because it's an interesting story too from what I've read about it where the sort of top brass kind of they lose contact, they get knocked out kind of thing, and it's his actions actually having to take control of the situation, which was actually a really common thing through war where the hierarchies, you know, disconnected or idiots and the men on the ground having to sort of do the hard jacker. Yeah, yeah, that's exactly right. There's a whole lot of things that obviously go sideways. There's obviously plans, but then plans can go get thrown straight out the window.

39:31And I think this is what happens in this case. And, you know, for us to be able to tell a story like this, I think is such a big honour for us. And it's also crazy as well because I think we're all pretty familiar with the story of Charlie Upham, right? Yeah. Mark of the Lion, double Victoria Cross winner. Everybody's sort of aware of that history, and he's sort of celebrated as a war hero. And yet on the Maori side, we don't know anything about this. Did you guys know about this at all prior to being brought on board? No, not this story in particular. And, you know, I would hear about, you know, the stories of how fierce and brave the 28th Maori Battalion were.

40:13Yes. But no particular story to associate it with. And, you know, jumping on board with this, we were able to learn and create, you know, something to be like, oh, yeah, okay. For example, this right there. Well that's the thing with Anzac Day too nowadays Because it's When I was growing up Going to the dawn service and stuff was something you did as kids And people still do it to this day But I think the further we go along The less people are connected to it Because the older people start to go And the younger people come and they don't understand the importance anymore So movies like this Sergeant Haney it's called It's in cinemas at the moment It's kind of important isn't it To keep the younger generations clued up on stuff Absolutely Two years ago, the last person from the Maori Battalion, Tuet Maori Battalion, had passed away.

41:08So there's no one else. Yeah, right. Linkage. Yeah, that's right. And for me, being able to go to the dawn service these last couple of days gone, it just brought a whole new meaning from me. And so we went down to Rotorua and we were with the family who the story is about. And the mist was rising. and the stories that were being told were being complemented by the mist and the wind, and it was such a beautiful experience. And it does affect families so much as well, because like these guys, a lot of these guys in the 2A Battalion, they were cousins. They were part of the same farm, though, right?

41:45That's right. Yes, exactly right. Now, we've got actors Alex Tarrant and Vinnie Bennett in the studio with us. Sergeant Haney, it's a film that's available in cinemas right now. Before we let you guys go, man, I've just got to ask Vinnie. Yes. I knew it was coming. Yeah, he won. He won. Yeah. Celebrity Treasure Island, man. Keezy is a mad bastard for the Celebrity Treasure Island, bro. Him and his. Really? I absolutely love it. Keezy's dying to get on. He's probably going to ask you to put in a good word for him. Mo, can you just settle down? I don't mind the show. I'm sure they've asked you. Nah, nah, nah.

42:19They were like, oh, we need kind of a Skucks, like part Maori dude. And then my name was there. Then they're like, oh, now we'll go Vinnie Bennett. I was like, sweet. How was the experience? because it's on right now. It's just started. It's just started, man. And yeah, I've been shitting myself leading up to this point, you know, because yeah, you have your own edit of how things went in your head, you know, and you think and kind of hope that it will go this way, but then you're also aware that it can go completely the other way depending on how they slap it all together. Well, the producers, right?

42:51They want narratives. So you're saying if you look bad on it it's because of the producers. Oh, no, no. It's the airs in Vinny. No, no. Oh, my God. Yeah. Yeah. I can see where my role on the island is going. Yeah, right. You know, it's whatever. Was it fun, though? Being a part of the actual, not now, not waiting for it to come out and freaking out, but like the actual being there and doing it. Yeah, it absolutely was. It was something that I was very unsure about. Yeah, of course, man. And it went back and forth. And one of the producers, he ended up calling me just because I had so many questions.

43:34I'm like, you know, I just need to get something straight. You know, like, are we sleeping in accommodation, really? Do I mind how to hear you? What is really going on? Talk to me. And he was like, no, man, it's, you know, for real. We don't, you know, we don't manipulate things too much. Obviously, we need storylines. Drama. You know, we don't, we're not going to really.

43:54Keyzie:Did the producer be like, Vinnie, seriously, man, you've got to do it. Otherwise, we've got to go with Kesey. From Hoducky. That guy sucks.

44:08Keyzie:Well, fellas, thanks so much for coming in. Very much looking forward to seeing the film. Yes. By the way, and if anyone listening wants to see the film also, we've got five double passes to give away. Oh, good. So if you'd like to see Alex Tarrant and Vinnie Bennett in Sergeant Hane as well. Text us 3483 right now. Tell us who you'd take with you and why you think you should have the tickets, and then we'll dish them all out. I think it's only four double passes, actually. I thought it was three. I heard two. Yeah, I think there's two double passes, Gizzi. Alex is going to throw in another one just because he doesn't.

44:40Thanks, Alex. You're welcome. Five doubles, all right? Lock it in. 3483, get stuck in. Alex, Vinny, thanks for coming in. The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

44:54Keyzie:Welcome back, you massive backbones. Hope your Wednesday's going off. You're listening to The Big Show, incidentally, brought to you by Toledo's. Old brands are done. Toledo's is taking over. No nasties, no compromises.

45:11Keyzie:Toledo's. I think we're really nailing that now, fellas. 100%, Jase. Speaking of nailing it, Toledo's a nail in getting their product out into all the stores across New Zealand. That's true. So remember, it's a Kiwi company, a little start-up by a young family, which is bloody exciting. Natural electrolyte beverages, and they're rolling them out across the country. So Fresh Choice, the supermarkets, they're available nationwide. How good. New World, Devonport, Kumu, Palmerston North, Papakura, Pukekui, Tekauwhata, and Waiuku. And as of today, I believe, they've actually added another New World, the Durham Street New World in Christchurch.

45:46Keyzie:I heard about that. Oh, how good. I'm going to get a flight down there just to buy Toledo's from there. But we've literally got a fridge full of them for free just there. They're so good that I want to pay for them, Keezy. Actually, if you want to pay for them, you can drive down to Rotorua there to Nongataha where the four squares just started stocking them. Yeah, how good the four squares. That takes me back, fellas. Nongataha. Always very hard to beat in rugby. Really? Yeah, when I lived in Rotorua there, Nongataha, nightmare. Who are you playing for? Otonga. Oh, yeah. Otonga. What position?

46:21Keyzie:I played wing, funnily enough. I thought you were the captain. No, that was for the second 15 rugby at Dilworth. Right, okay, so this is when you were younger than that? This is like when I was just a little whippersnapper. You'd be playing bare feet, wouldn't you? Yeah, bare feet. Yeah. You'd turn up without a word of a lie and the ground would be frosty. Yeah. It'd be covered in frost. And you'd be hopping around going, whoo! But Nongataha. They were tough. I hated playing them. I used to play them as well because I grew up in Tauranga there. And I remember going to Rotorua as well and it being frosty.

46:55Because when you're really young, the games are really early. Yes, like 8 o 'clock. And it's barefoot and there's frost everywhere. However, that's in the Bay of Plenty. When we were down in Dunedin, it was like midday and it was still frosty. And I was saying to one of the young fellas down there, like, man, screw playing rugby down here when I was a kid. He's like, oh, yeah, I grew up playing here. It sucked. Yeah. You know, so. Good times. Early morning footy, man.

47:18Keyzie:Now, listen, the fellas are off to the magic round very, very soon, and there may very well be another opportunity for you to get in the draw, so keep your ears peeled. Keep your ears peeled. In the meantime, here's Alison Chain. The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. Red hot. Chilli Peppers there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Wednesday night. The time, 29 minutes past 6 o 'clock. Fellas, I've got a bone to pick. I'd also like to welcome Pugs to the studio. Ooh, it's Pugs. Evening, fellas. G'day, Pugs. Now, last night after the show finished, it was just you and I in here, Pugs, son, as it often is.

48:03The boys are straight out the door, but you and I like to catch up and just pass a few notes back and forth over the show. Now, we're in here in the studio. We ended up recording a video because you noticed, Pikesan, that Hoity Jizz had left. Oh, you noticed, did you, Pugs?

48:19Keyzie:We all did. No, seriously, we all did. Tons of crap lying around. Noted. Noted, Pugs. Now, we made a video, and in the video, we sort of pointed out that there was something that had been used during the show from Jace. It literally had Jace's name on it. There was a glass of water that Jace had been drinking throughout the show, and there was a screwed up, show notes document which had all the scribbles on it so it was clearly Jase's. And it had Big Show written on it. It had Big Show written on it. And I made the video and I was slightly facetious because I was blaming it all on Manaya. Who shares that mic.

48:51Who shares that microphone every single day. And the reason I did that was because Jase always blames Manaya for being the one that leaves stuff lying around. And so I guess, Jase, first of all, I just want to put that to you and just see how you feel about what that video laid out.

49:07Keyzie:I just want to say specifically in regards to that night I was going to a theatre show that night And I was running a bit late So I was kind of under the gun 100 % It was my defence And the extra admin on there was for the show That I forgot that I brought in Yeah You like going to plays, eh? I do You must go to the peeps, eh? I guess then the other thing we did about a month ago Was when you brought in that chicken soup for us all to try, Jase Yeah And then you cleaned up afterwards, but you left chicken soup. We made a video that night as well, didn't we? We did, yeah. It's like Moggy sniffs around behind me all the time.

49:43Keyzie:Well, I don't need to. He doesn't have to. I don't need to because it's a bomb site. We go through the microwave. There's chicken soup all through the microwave. There's chicken soup all over the bench and all over the floor. Now, Moggy, be honest. Was there chicken soup all over the bench? did you say, and I quote, there was like a 50 cent piece spot on the floor? Yes, certainly. Look, it wasn't all over. There was an exaggeration, but certainly there was a sign that there had been chicken soup spilled everywhere. It was not cleaned up. You had a play that night as well, Joe, so. Yeah, I did actually.

50:18Keyzie:Yeah, I thought so. Yes. Well, no, what that was, was it happened. I was trying to organise it for the show, and then the show was going back on air. so I ran back on to be on air and do the radio show, fellas. Can I just say, look, last night you were in a rush, sweet as. You forgot your stuff. You left a bit of a mess there in that spot. We get it. It's fine. Totally sweet. The thing that I think the reason why we bring this up is because you are adamant that you never, ever, ever leave a mess behind. Look, that's an exaggeration on my behalf. Certainly there's occasions where I might leave a glass behind.

50:53Yeah, okay, like several times a week. Yeah, sweet. No, not several times a week.

50:59Keyzie:Who cares? Well, obviously you guys do because you're bringing it up. We only care because you're so adamant that you don't. I only say that because you guys bring it up all the time. Okay. So this is a trap. This is a trap from you guys. It's a trap. And you're trying to make out that I wouldn't have to defend myself if you guys didn't accuse me. Yeah, okay. All right. Okay, so we just. I'm sort of missing something here. So if we're saying that we have to clean up after ourselves, I'm sort of lost a little bit. So you're saying that we bring it up all the time, but we're not telling the truth?

51:39I don't understand what you mean by that point.

51:41Keyzie:No, what Kesey said was, you say all the time I don't leave stuff behind, and I say that because I get accused of it. Yeah, because you do it. Accusations are empty. But it's not, it is inaccurate to say I do it all the time. It is inaccurate. And the amount of times I'm sitting, because often what will happen, fellas, when I'm leaving, there'll be the cleaning lady there, and I'll be standing there with my glass, and I don't want to just dump shit on her because she's cleaning the bench. Yeah, sure. And I do that all the time. All the time. Last night was an aberration, and I apologise. Oh, look, you don't have to do that.

52:18Keyzie:It's all good. Don't worry about it. No, but wait. Wait, I will personally apologise to Minaya. Really? Yeah, absolutely. Oh, he's fuming. Actually. He is absolutely fuming about this. Can I do an apology now? Okay, you want to send him a transmission? Yeah, yeah, yeah, thanks, man. Dadoosh, dedoosh. Big Mips Keezy. Backbone. My wife. Pug fun. Massive honker. Midnight steamer. Backbone. Incoming transmission from the big show. Yeah, g'day, Minaya. It's old Hoardy Jay here. Mate, I just want to apologise about the mess that was left on the desk last night, mate. That's unacceptable. I just want to let you know that I'm fuming at the fellas.

52:57Keyzie:It was a massive set-up. Oh, my God. Just apologise. I cannot believe the fellas would go to this length to stitch me up. But, mate, I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I'm going to wait ten minutes after the show's finished. to make sure they don't do it again, all right, mate? Yeah, good on you, mate. Good on you, you back, bro. Yeah, cool. Send that to breakfast, wouldn't you? Yeah, righto. Oh, good work, man. Thanks, man. Wriggled out of that one. I'll do better, fellas. No, don't. No, you're all good, man. It's chill. Here's Kings of Leon. The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

53:40Keyzie:Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Wednesday evening. but right now it's time for...

53:53MeetPattyNips69 at gmail.com. Get in touch. With the fellas! MeetPattyNips69 at gmail.com. Real email address. If you need advice, reach out, and if it gets read on the show, you get a prize. 100 % anonymous. G'day there, fellas. This comes from anonymous, by the way. I've got a bit of a dilemma. I'd love some advice, particularly from Keezy. I've been considering moving overseas for a while Standard stuff, right time to go As I'm male, 23, medium-sized penis I don't see how that's relevant

54:25Keyzie:Good to know though Yeah, medium-sized, like 5, 6 inch Yeah I was pretty locked in on London But I've been offered a job in my profession in the Cayman Islands Cool My partner is also set on London And will not take well to a change of plans I'm currently living with her. Dump her anyway. Basically, I'd love some advice on how I can pack and leave without her noticing. Cheers. That's a good idea. Where are the Cayman Islands? Aussie. Oh, okay. Aren't they off Aussie? What am I talking about? They're like in the Caribbean or somewhere. Am I thinking of the Whitsundays? The Maldives. You're thinking of the Whitsundays.

55:01You're thinking of Stewart Island. That's in Australia.

55:03Keyzie:That sounds like the dream to me. Yeah. If I was 23 and I got offered a job in the Cayman Islands, I would be shit year. But what would you be doing there? Oh, well, that's the other question. Yeah, well, that's right. Getting steamed. I would be getting steamed, definitely. It's an interesting one. The beauty of the Cayman Islands is nobody goes to the Cayman Islands. Right. Do you know what I mean? In the sense that everybody goes on their OE, everybody goes to London, everybody goes to the same place or Australia or something like that. Nobody goes to the Cayman Islands. Am I right in thinking that the Cayman Islands is where they do like money, shell companies all over the place?

55:39Keyzie:Yeah, that's right. Money laundering, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Yeah, so Cayman Islands, British Overseas Territory, Western Caribbean Sea. Yes, there you go. A hell of a spot. You don't want to be in a relationship if you're going to the Cayman Islands because it's full of tourists and stuff. You know what I mean? Yeah. At 23, you're not going to the Cayman Islands. Are you suggesting it would be like a sex fest, Keezy? Well, that's what this guy's angling towards. Well, he's talking about his medium-sized penis, which interests me. It really interests me. Does? And the fact that he's got a partner there, I don't know if it's a male or female, and it's not important, Keezy.

56:12Right. If that partner wants to go to London, let them. Yes. Let them. By all means, you don't want to ruin their dreams, but you get yourself over to the Caymans. And I'll also say, if you are even slightly iffy about this relationship at 23 years of age, Let me just say, it's not going to happen.

56:31Keyzie:And do you want your Cayman Island dream to be ruined by her or his resentment? No, it won't be ruined by her or his resentment. It's literally, do you want to move to the Cayman Islands at 23 years of age? If so, do it. And your partner is welcome. I was going to say welcome to come, but that's not true. No, because you can tell he doesn't want her to be there. Yeah, yeah. Not at that age. He's trying to pack up. My question is, why is he specifically asking for your advice, Keezy? I don't know. I've never been to the Cayman Islands. No, more about the leaving and the cheating. Oh. Oh, well, in that case, yeah, just do what I do and just cheat.

57:11Yeah. My advice is if you really want to go to the Cayman Islands, do it. You're 23. Don't give it up and then be resentful later because you didn't take that opportunity. Yeah, although you could stay with your partner, get married, and if things don't work out, and they probably won't, you can blame your partner for the shithouse trajectory of your life. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Put it all onto them.

57:33Keyzie:You know one of the regrets I have in my life, true story this, fellas, when I was like 21 and doing my acting, and I got involved in this theatre company, and the guy that ran it ran theatre in London for many, many years and had all these contacts, and he said to me, Jason, I think you've got some real ability and I reckon you'd go great guns in London. Right. And I could organise for you to go over there and have all sorts of contacts, pretty much walk straight into a play. How do you feel about that? And I was like, oh, nah. And just went back home and got steamed. Yeah, that's all right. But I often look back on that moment and I go, I wonder what would have happened if I had have gone, okay, let's do it.

58:20It's pretty easy. you'd be the most successful actor in the history of the world. Yeah, probably. Or you'd just be pissed off your head in London.

58:26Keyzie:Yeah, yeah, and locked away somewhere. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.

58:39Keyzie:Well, there you go, you mad bastards. That's The Big Show done and dusted this Wednesday evening. What's the podcast outro clip today, Keezy? I think it's about me feeling voneys because it's entitled Spiralling, which sounds funny. Are you all good, man? Nah, I had like one hour sleep last night. Same. What were you thinking about? What were you worrying about, Keezer? You should have called me, man. I would have talked you to sleep. I would have talked you to sleep. There you go, man. That helped you out, eh? It actually did help me out, fellas, you know? Well, next time you have that, just give old Hoody Jay a call and I'll just talk you through it, man.

59:15So you're saying that if I am still awake at 4am thinking about stuff, call you.

59:19Keyzie:My door is always open, Keezy. What, come over to your place? Yeah, and I'll give you a back rub. Right. And just talk you through it. Oh, yeah? Okay, well, can we do that tonight then? Oh, I'm going out tonight. Sorry, mate. But any other night. Okay. Moggy, what are your plans tonight? I'd quite like to go to sleep. The thing I might have to go to sleep early, because my cat had me awake last night. Yes. Bloody cat bastard. Old bird shit Chris. my cat. I reckon the cat keeps you up at night because it wants you to change its name. Yes, that just occurred to me too. Yeah, well, it's possible, but I've got to say, I love the cat.

59:57The cat's a great addition. Can't believe I've been so long without a cat. Yeah. But I'm over it wakering you. Let's just move on. Shame. You said a word wrong. Boom.

1:00:08Keyzie:Keezy, what are you eating tonight? We are having... You say leftovers. I'm going to deduce you. I kind of want to now. Bring it on, sucker. No, we're having lamb pitas. Peters. Oh, yes. Flatbread, bit of yogurt, bit of ducca and hummus. Oh, I like a bit of ducca. A little bit of pickled red onion. Oh, yes. And some spinach. Love that. Yeah. Yeah, okay. I'm really excited for that. Okay, good, good. What are you having tonight, Jase? Eating noodles. Oh, nice. I'm going to go for the extra hot dumplings tonight. I just feel it in my bones. My wife will get her normal spicy beef soup. And so I'm off after this to go and meet Ed.

1:00:44Keyzie:I think you're going to regret it. Do you? Yeah. The spicy? Yeah. Yeah, you may be right. He's going to come in and bang on about it tomorrow. I tell you what, I'm much better now because I know what my bowels are like in the morning and I go, I don't want to do that again. But you're going to do it now. But I'm going to do it tonight though. Hey, have a great night. Check out the podcast. Check out the Instagram. See you later. Bye. Bye.
