0:09Keyzie:Welcome to the Hauraki Big Show. Really big. With Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keyzie. Oh g'day you mad bastards. Great to have your company on another beautiful afternoon in the city of sales. You're listening to The Big Show, brought to you by Reburger. Crave-worthy street food, freshly made with old Reburger. Reburger. Reburger. Yes. Oh, bugger, eh? Now, you looked hot yesterday, Margie. Yeah, I know. But you look even better. I don't know how. Have you been to the gym today? Yeah, man. Yeah, because those veins are popping. How are you, stud?
0:48Jase:Going pretty grousy, you mad dog, you sick son of a bee. Day two, back behind the microphone, brother, and every day it just gets better and better. Couldn't be happier to be here, you know? Europe is in the rear view. Sure. It's like it never happened, and that makes me happy, man. Back where I belong with you backbones. Kia kaha. Kesey, how you going, man? I was going to say, do you want me to just pipe up there and just sort of bring myself in? No, I'm going good, fellas. Day two, same as Mogi. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Back behind the old mic there. Yeah. I'm feeling great. Yeah. Genuinely good to be back.
1:22Keyzie:It's good to see you got rid of your camel hump there on the back there. You weren't able to go to the toilet for 87 hours, was it? And obviously you've swore that. Okay, I said I was a camel because I was able to not go for ages and then I have to use the plain toilet. I didn't have a literal hump on my back full of poos. Okay. I mean, I just saw what I saw yesterday. You saw, did I have a hump yesterday, did I? Yes. I'm fine, by the way, Phil. Who asked you, man? Yeah, fair enough. Nah, Jase, man, you're looking good. You've got your Johnny Cash black shirt on. Yeah, man. You shaved your sideburns off.
2:02You're running like a, what's that called?
2:05Keyzie:A shocker. Yeah, it is. And genuinely, genuinely, I was trimming my sideburns and was using the wrong blade there. Not for the first time. Went a little bit high and went, oh, no. So I had to commit. I had to go even deeper. I already looked sick. Thanks, man. Actually, Pugs, let's chuck a little photo up on the Instagram story, get a little vote happening. Is Hoardy J's lid sick or not? Because I think it is, man. Good on you, Pugs. Hey, now listen, we have a massive show here. We've got Matt Whelan, the actor, coming in. If you don't know who he is, Google him. He's been in Narcos. He was in Gone Girl, I believe.
2:42Hugh Hefner. He played Hugh Hefner in his biopic. Got a new film coming out too for the New Zealand International Film Festival.
2:48Keyzie:Fantastic. And I've got a bit of an announcement to make. Oh. Exciting. Bit of breaking news. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy. DD Smash here on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday afternoon. The time is 4.13 and we've got some breaking news. This is breaking news. Do-do-do.
3:16Keyzie:Fellas, something's happened for old Hoity Jay and I feel it's only right that I let you fellas know because it's going to affect you directly. Wow, okay. I don't know if you've heard of the show Celebrity Treasure Island. Oh, yeah. I love that show. It's mine and my wife's guilty pleasure show. Yes, yes, I recall you. You've got a lot of guilty pleasure. Yeah, banging on about it forever, Keezy, over and over and over again. Well, exciting news. I've been asked if I want to be a part of it and I agonised, as you would, because it's a big-time commitment, and in the end I committed and said, yes, I'm prepared to do it.
3:58Keyzie:Oh, how good. Yeah, yeah. Right. Congrats. I don't know how, I mean, it all depends on how long you stay, you know, in terms of how long I'll be away, fellas.
4:06Jase:Raising money for charity, man. Bravo you, man. Bravo you. Charity? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All the money's for charity. Is it? Yeah. So that's cool. $100 ,000 you'll win for your nominated charity.
4:19Keyzie:Yeah, but I'll get paid too, right? I mean, we can go minutiae later on.
4:23Jase:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
4:24Keyzie:Or the minutiae. A couple of things, man. First of all, don't they, like, try and keep it a secret until the show is announced? They try. Like, I don't know if they would, like, want one of the potential contestants going on live radio and announcing that they're going to be on it.
4:40Jase:If you want the best, you've got to pay the price.
4:42Keyzie:Exactly. And all publicity is good publicity. Yeah, man. And just think how much it's going to affect the ratings to know that old Hoity J is going to be on CTI.
4:51Jase:I've burned in the hands with too on the bush, Keezy. Yeah, totally. Write that down, man. Well, that's great, man. I'm stoked for you.
4:59Keyzie:Well, you don't seem very stoked, Keezy.
5:00Jase:Hoity J is, man, on the Celebrity Treasure Island. That's big time, brother. That's going to be huge for our show.
5:07Keyzie:The only concern I have is that I'll probably have to wear shorts at some stage. Oh, borrow Keezy's Speedos. Oh, yeah, that's a good idea. your pink ones. Yeah, no, you'd be swimming in those. Not up the front, I wouldn't be. You wouldn't feel about. I'd be a bag of his board shorts. But I just felt it was important to let you fellas know because it does directly affect you. No, totally, Jason. I appreciate it. I kind of have a small issue with this, though, because you're my agent, right? Correct, I am, yeah. And I told you as soon as it was announced, I think it was a couple of weeks ago, that it had been funded in Greenlit that I'd be interested in doing the show because I'm a big fan of it.
5:44Keyzie:Yeah, well, I remember you coming up to me before you went away on your trip and telling me that, and I thought, what a great idea. So what? Well, so I put myself forward, and they went, absolutely. We were too scared to ask. I mean, I guess you'd say I'm top tier. Yeah, I guess. Celebrity-wise, I mean. Of the leftovers, yeah. To be honest, I'll probably hate it. I'll probably hate it. But, you know, it's something different, and I've taken on this new philosophy in my life, which is to just say yes.
6:14Jase:You're right. Well, I think what you said was, you know, your philosophy was, I simply must.
6:21Keyzie:I simply or I simply must. Right. So it's pretty exciting. I don't know where we're going yet or the secret location. To be honest with you, I quietly fancy myself in this. Did you at least put a good word in for me? Like I came to you asking for you to get me on there, not to put yourself forward. Right. No, you didn't really come up, Keezy, but got pretty involved pretty quickly once they knew I was interested. As I say, and genuinely, they were a bit intimidated about asking me because I used to bag the show. Yes. But now they're like, oh, yeah, boy. Oh, sweet. We've got the guy from Brokenwood on.
6:57Jackpot.
6:58Keyzie:And they've even sort of given me a signing on fee. Right. Which they don't usually do for the other contestants, which doesn't go to charity.
7:05Jase:Yeah. So what do you think you'd be best at, the physical challenges? The mental challenges.
7:13Keyzie:I'm good with a puzzle. I'm just going to have to figure a way of getting my vape out there.
7:18Jase:Well, I think the only thing you're going to have to hope is that your wife doesn't turn up, because if she does, she's going to kick the shit out of you and scrabble. You can hide your vape up your massive honker. You can hide one for everyone. Congrats, man. That's really exciting. Yeah, thanks, man.
7:35Keyzie:Thank you.
7:40Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
7:44Keyzie:Faith No More there on the Radio Hauraki big show this Tuesday afternoon. As you're aware, the fellas are back from their overseas jaunts in beautiful sunny Europe. And Spoon Boy and the Jizz were banging on a bit, a little bit, about the fact that you guys made no contact with us whatsoever for ages. And the Jizz. And And we were pretty disgusted about that. But then at the end of the day, Mogi, you did get in contact with us. You were over in London and old Mogi was feeling a little bit lonely and he wanted to meet up with some backbones over there. So you sent us a message to put the message out to the people.
8:24Keyzie:Hey, come and hang out with old Mogi. Take some photos. Have a few beersies. How did it go, mate?
8:30Jase:What happened? Well, that's exactly how it played out. First of all, let me say that. Was that not embellished at all? No, that's exactly it. Oh, wow. From start to finish. And, yeah, I got a ton of messages coming. Mostly it was just people dropping me a line and saying, where are you going for a beer, Moogie? You want to go for a beer? We should have a beer. It's like, yeah, that's great. That's good stuff. Yes. But that's not really helping me. I was after the locals to guide me in my week in London. Yes. Because I didn't have my mates with me or my missus or anything like that. So I wanted some local guides.
9:03Jase:So, you know, where are we going for a beer, Moogie, was sort of like, well, you tell me. Yeah, well, because I had quite a few people messaging me on Instagram, the same sort of thing, which is awesome. People are all around the world being like, Oh, Keezy, you're in Paris. Come have a beer. And I didn't want to then be like, Hey, man, I've got two nights in Paris and I'm with my wife and it's really romantic and lovely. I don't know if I can go and have a beer with the backbones. We're as keen as. Yeah, we're as you were keen. Yeah, yeah, yeah. As you would be. So, yeah, certainly got a lot of messages.
9:31Jase:And I ended up getting a message by a backbone and his mates there to go and see Arsenal. Fantastic. The Gunners. Yeah, man. Soccer football. Soccer football. Have a pre-season matchup on the Wednesday against Villarreal, I think they called, from Spain. CC. Oh, jeez. You would have got belted in the stands here talking like that, mate. Actually, hang on a sec.
9:59Keyzie:Racism alert. Racism alert. Shocking.
10:03Jase:We got your ass handed to you there. So anyway, they got in touch. Charlie was the fella's name. Good Kiwi fella over there. They live in Arsenal. They've been over there for a few years. There's a couple of flats that live around the corner from each other, sort of about 10 or 12 of them or so. And they just started getting into the football over the last few years while they've been there and following Arsenal. Which is awesome. I'd love to see that. To get there and to walk into the ground and sit down, and it's the scene that you've seen played out a million times. It was absolutely unreal.
10:35Jase:Arsenal is a great, a legendary club, obviously, steeped in history. So I went there, went to a pub, met up with them, and they had a jersey for me there. Oh, how good. Handed me a bag, opened the bag, an Arsenal jersey. Charlie gave me one of his Arsenal jerseys and a packet of dart. Oh, wow. How good, man. They're so nice. Straight into it. So we have a few beers. They won't let me pay for a beer. Wow. I insisted on it. Yeah. I'm not paying for any beers. I didn't, but they refused to let me pay. Then we go to the game, ploughing pints at the game, but they won't let you drink in the stand. You are not allowed to drink at all because of the violence.
11:20Jase:You're not allowed to drink at all. You can only drink at halftime or in the concourse. So you're boofing them up in the concourse. So we're in there. They're back to the pub. The pub's closed at 12. They're back to Charlie's house. Yeah. They're at about 2.30. Now, the underground closes at midnight, I think, so I just had to sleep on their couch. That is great. Yeah.
11:40Keyzie:That is really great. And genuinely, I think if you're over there, one of the things I would love to do is go to a Premier football match.

11:48Jase:I recommend you go to Charlie's house. Yeah, it sounds like it. Charlie's house is at the gate. Yes. Absolutely unbelievable. The best hospitality you could ever ask for. Wouldn't take any money for the tickets. Wouldn't take any money full stop. I did leave the shirt there. I left the shirt there, even though he wanted to give it to me, but I did leave that there. I just want to say to those guys, legendary, an all-time memory, Charlie, Andre, who is an absolute maggot, Oliver, Tori, Molly, there was a few others whose names I either didn't catch or pretended I knew and have forgotten since. Yeah.
12:21Jase:Thank you so much for your hospitality, one of the true highlights of the trip. You are absolute backbones. God bless you, one and all. Beautiful, mate. That's so good, Moogie. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy.
12:36Keyzie:Jihad there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday afternoon. The time is 4.37, but it's time for... We're off to find the brewery of the day. What have you got for us, Keezy? That's right, the brewery of the day. Every single day we feature a different brewery, all of whom will be at Bear Varner, which is happening next week, the 22nd and 23rd of August, down in Wellington at Sky Stadium. We'll be there too, which is cool. Today's brewery, which we are focusing on, is Lake Man Brewing. It is Topol's award-winning brewery, brewing magic from a humble shed on a working sheep and beef farm.
13:18Fun fact, this brewery featured on Country Calendar like three years ago. Oh, I remember that. Yeah, they were diversifying by making beers.
13:27Jase:Grown weed.
13:28Keyzie:And how good, though, fellas, you know, working on a farm, they're doing the hard jacker.
13:32Jase:Yeah.
13:32Keyzie:And having one of your own beers at the end of the day. Well, hard jacker. What, farming? Yeah, true. Come on.
13:39Jase:Yeah. The way that it's been modernised now with all the machines at Citrus. Yeah, no, you're right, actually. You're right. Yeah, farmers do hardly anything. Totally. It's a lifestyle. Yeah. In fact, when I retire, I'll probably become a farmer. Yeah, same. Yeah, a couple of thousand a head. Then I can just put my feet up. But these talented locals at Lake Man Brewing, they craft beers perfect for any occasion. You can catch Lake Man Brewing at Beervana next week, which is exciting.
14:10Keyzie:Yeah. Do you reckon we'd run a successful brewery if we were running a brewery? The deer. Well, as I say, back in the day, I made a potent home brew. Really? It's all in the sugar, Keezy. It's all in how much sugar you use. Was it beer? Yeah, it was beer, man.
14:26Jase:Really? Yeah. And you made beer. He was called Bear Man. You know how that's Lake Man? We've got the brewery of the day. Yeah. Hoody Jizzbot used to be called Bear Man. Bear Man.
14:36Keyzie:Well, actually, it was Bear Boy. Bear Boy. Hey, Bear Boy, you got any beersies? We'd do little, well, we used to barter. Oh, yeah?
14:45Jase:What would you get in exchange? Can't tell you that.
14:48Keyzie:Can't tell you that, Mogi. It was in my wild days. Gross. Oh. Anyway, yeah, shout out to Lake Man Brewing. What do you mean, gross? I can't wait to see it. I wasn't exchanging sexual favours, Keezy. 22nd, 23rd of August, Sky Stadium, Wellington. Tickets at beervana.co.nz, man. We'll see you there. How good. Riders. This is a tune, man. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy. Hello, Sailor there on the radio. Radio Pooh.
15:20Jase:Sorry, Jason. Absolute state of you.
15:22Keyzie:Radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday. Just prior to us coming back on here,
15:26Jase:you see afternoon 4.49. Hoene J is addressing the room saying, fellas, just focus, all right, just focus, before forgetting to put on his headphones and forgetting to swallow before speaking.
15:37Keyzie:Shambles. Yeah, my bad. I was momentarily distracted by stuff outside. While Pugs was, I was shocked. Hey, but let's talk TV. Nice recovery, man. What's on the telly with Mike Minogue.
15:56Yeah.
16:00Keyzie:Pudge and I did that beautifully. Our harmonies were bang on.
16:05Jase:You've got more yarns about you and Spurn Boy doing the show than me and Chris do about going to bloody Europe for a few weeks. You know what I mean? You're reminiscing about the good old days. You're doing jack. You're doing jack. Spurn Boy and the jizz.
16:22Keyzie:You going to get on with TV chat or is that a bang on? What happened was yesterday, Jase really wanted to talk about a movie. Yeah. And then we kind of overruled, well, hey, we haven't been here for a while. Do you reckon we could maybe have a turn? Yeah. So, Jase, talk about that movie you watched.
16:36Jase:And we'll just talk amongst ourselves.
16:38Keyzie:Yeah, you just talk amongst yourselves while I talk about this brilliant movie that I saw. Yes. And I want to start off right from the get-go and give it 4.2 buzzies. Okay. 4.3 buzzies. Which is it? Also, also, Insight, yesterday he said it was five buzzies. Yes. And then I said, really? A perfect movie? He dropped it down. And then he dropped it. So it must have been really good. 4.3 buzies. It's called Small Things Like These. And the storyline is basically, in 1985, coal merchant Bill Furlong.
17:09Jase:He sells coal, Keezy.
17:11Keyzie:Uncovers disturbing secrets in a small Irish town that's controlled by the Roman Catholic Church. Oh, yeah. Cillian Murphy is the star. Killian. He's Bill Furlong. Killian, is that Bill Furlong? And his performance is magnificent. And I've got to say, it's one of those movies that is very slow moving. If you took all the script out of it, I reckon you'd probably have about 10 pages of script. There's not a lot of chitter-chatter, but it is one of the best things I've seen in a long, long time. And it's basically a story about doing the right thing when you're going up against powerful forces. I like that.
17:51Jase:I like the idea, and this is going on at the moment, isn't it already, Jess? It is very much so, Mogi. That doing the right thing will probably have negative connotations and negative impact on your life. And if doing the right thing was easy, then everybody would do it. The fact that there might be an impact on you personally or professionally that is negative doesn't negate the fact that you still need to do the right thing.
18:11Keyzie:Absolutely. And it was personally and professionally that it was going to impact him. Yeah, this is what happens, you see. And it is a brilliant, and Emily Watson, who plays this character, Sister Mary. Yeah. I don't know if you guys are familiar with her as an actor. She's very good.
18:25Jase:She was in a film that shot down at Stone Street Studios in Wellington. Right. Some years ago. Emily Watson. She was, yeah.
18:33Keyzie:Isn't that Hermione?
18:34Jase:No. No, she's very, very good.
18:35Keyzie:She plays Sister Mary, and it's the most malevolent, powerful character. And she says bugger all, but her performance is superb. So he's a coal merchant. How much was he getting for his coal? Not a lot. He was a very humble fella. Yeah. A good man. And the story kind of switches between him as a kid and in the current day. Right. And there's something going on at the Roman Catholic Church. Something's going on. I don't like the sound of this. And he can no longer turn a blind eye. I bet I know what it is. Even though the community is saying, Bill, Bill. Just focus on the coal, man. Yeah, man. That's exactly right.
19:13Just focus on the coal, Bill. You sell your coal. Think about your family, Bill.
19:16Keyzie:Yeah, Bill. Highly recommended 4.3 buzies.
19:20Jase:Wow. And how many buzies would you give his coal? How many buzies was he charging for his coal?
19:27Keyzie:I think a tuppence per sack. A tuppany per sack. Yeah, tuppany per sack. That's good eating. Yeah, man. That's good stuff, Jason. The Horaki Big Show Podcast. Jason, are you ready to go, man? Welcome back, you massive backbones. Now, listen, plenty coming up after... Two breaks in a row that you haven't been ready. Plenty coming up after 5 o 'clock, including actor Matt Whelan, who's got a movie coming in. So we'll be having a bit of chitty chat with him. He's a Kiwi actor. He was in Narcos. He played Hugh Hefner in his biopic. He's had a few movies and things. He was in Brokenwood too.
20:01Jase:He's already jizzed his nemesis when it comes to acting.
20:04Keyzie:Yeah. Yeah, yeah. We're always going for the same leading roles. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's a lovely fellow too. And you guys are going to regale me with more stories from Europe because I'm finding it fascinating. I simply have to get there.
20:42Burger. Re-burger, b***h.
20:46Jase:Nice, man.
20:48Keyzie:Nice. No. I nailed it, man. Hey, now, listen, speaking of nailing it, the boys are on the road again. I'm really excited about this. It's been a long time since the big show's been all together to do a live show. We're going to be at Parrot Dog next Thursday, 21st of August in Lyle Bay, apparently.
21:04Jase:Yeah.
21:04Keyzie:How good feels?
21:05Jase:Well, actually, it's called Parrot Bay. Oh, that's right. Don't start this again. It's confusing. Because Keezy, he loves calling, when he was a kid and he first saw a seagull, he's like, oh, mum, look, it's a parrot, it's a parrot. You know, absolute idiot. But it's just sort of stuck. So ever since then, he's called seagulls parrots, and there's heaps of seagulls down in Lowell Bay, hence Parrot Bay. Oh, that's so cute. That's sweet. I just don't think that yarn Is worth Reliving You know what I mean I think it's One of the shittest yarns It's Parrot Bay Yeah And what day are we there Keyser Give them the details
21:53Keyzie:21st of August Thursday 4pm onwards Cheers admin boy Yeah totally man You know I had to take over The admin while you were away Oh did you Yes Well Pugsan did actually So Just to confirm, Parrot Dog Brewery in Wellington. Charlie Gubb's going to come down, which is exciting as well because he's from down in Wellington. It's going to be a great time. Make sure you're there at Parrot Dog Lyle Bay in Wellington. Hey, now listen up. Coming up, as you know, the fellas have been in Europe and they're going to tell me a bit of stuff about Europe that I didn't know.
22:37Keyzie:That's a hell of a tease, Jase. Yeah. It's just I discovered some amazing stuff over there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm keen as.
22:43Jase:You come back with your eyes wide open.
22:45Keyzie:Yeah, man. I bet. I bet. Yeah. Here's ACDC. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey. Radiohead there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday evening. The time is exactly 15 minutes past five. Jase, you've never been to Europe, eh? No. And I guess you won't understand until you've been to Europe.
23:13Jase:Oh, man, hang on, man, hang on. That song takes me back. Yeah, I bet. This song, honestly.
23:20Keyzie:They thrash it. Yeah, I can imagine. You can't go anywhere. Without this play? Yeah. How nice. But I just thought As someone who's been to Europe And Moggy you'll get this Yeah I get it man We just figured we could sort of I don't know Introduce you to some of the crazy stuff They have over in Europe Cool
23:42Jase:Now you're not going to get any of this But sure But when you finally get there It'll all make sense It'll click man Yeah yeah yeah Oh man Yeah So like It's interesting because A lot of stuff is very different But a lot is quite similar That's true So, for example.
23:57Keyzie:Well, because we get a lot of our ideas from old Europe, don't we? 100%. Yeah. They're just like us. Yeah. But better. Way better. Yeah, yeah. And you wouldn't get it until, yeah. So, you know how we have coffee here? Yeah, totally, man. Over in Europe, they call it espresso. What?
24:19Jase:Yeah. You ask for a coffee over there, they don't know what you're talking about. You're joking. No, straight up. It's like you're speaking a different language.
24:25Keyzie:Say that again. Espresso. Espresso. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
24:32Jase:Espresso. Another thing that they've got over there, which is different, is gazpacho. Oh, my God, I love gazpacho. It's a tomato and vegetable soup sort of thing. Yeah. But it's chilled because it's so hot over there. The temperatures are sort of mid to late. Oh, gross. Mid to late 30s sort of thing. But in New Zealand, that's called tomato sauce.
24:58Keyzie:What's it called over there? Gaspacho. Oh, Gaspacho. Gaspacho. You know like here in New Zealand how we'll have like a loaf of bread, like a Molenberg or a Tip Top. Oh, yeah, a Vogels. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Get this, over in Europe, they call them baguettes. Baguette. A baguette. A baguette. Yeah. Not a baguette. Don't say baguette.
25:24Jase:You'll get smacked over. Yes. It's a baguette. A baguette. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it's similar, but just different.
25:32Keyzie:And that's like a loaf of bread, is it? It's like a loaf of Molenberg. Another thing that they have over there that they don't have here.
25:41Jase:Well, they do. It's kind of different. It's just... Payaya. Pardon? Oh, payaya. Payaya. Payaya. Too many yards. Payaya.
25:49Keyzie:Payaya. Payaya.
25:51Jase:You can work on it before you get there. But that's a rice dish. Yes. It's got seafood, chicken, vegetables in it. It's kind of like a Spanish hangi.
26:00Keyzie:What, chicken and seafood? Can be. Yeah. Yeah, paella. Paella. You know how over here we have like biscuits and that? Yes. Yes. What kind? Like choccy biscuits? Yeah, just biscuits. Yes. Over in Europe, they have biscoff, which is pretty much the same thing. Right, okay. Yeah. Like your shrewsbury's. Yeah, yeah, shrewsbury's. And your squiggles. Your squiggles. Toffee pops? No, don't be stupid. What do they call it? A biscott? No, they don't have toffee pops. No, biscott. That's something that someone who's never been to Europe might suggest.
26:40Jase:Over there they have sangria. Sangria, okay. Yeah, yeah, it's like red wine. It's like a red wine-y sort of a drink sort of thing. Yeah. In New Zealand it's called a goon bag.
26:52Keyzie:You heard of that? A goon bag? Yeah, totally, totally. Yeah. I was massively into my goon bags back in the day. Well, you're foot riding over there. Yeah, yeah. But don't call it a goon bag. Sangria. Yeah. Sangria, yeah. I'll have a box of sangria, thanks. Yeah. It doesn't come in a box. It comes in a carafe.
27:10Jase:Oh, wow. A carafe's like a jug. But in Europe, it's called a carafe. Carafe, yeah. You know ice blocks and that? Yes. In Europe, get this. In Mogul, get this. They call it gelato. Yeah. Gelato what? So here in New Zealand, we'll have like a paddle pop or a popsicle. Over there, they call them gelatos. Gelato. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And over there, they've got sort of meats, eh? Yeah, meats. Prosciutto. Yeah, prosciutto. Prosciutto. Prosciutto. Which is like Spanish luncheon sausage.
27:50Keyzie:I tell you, I'm writing all this down, fellas, by the way. Yeah, good. That prosciutto. Yeah. Prosciutto. Which is a, yeah, luncheon sausage. Wait till you get there, man.
28:01Jase:Does it have the peas in it? Chase, you simply must go. You simply must go. The Hauraki Big Show podcast.
28:08Keyzie:Talking heads there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday afternoon. It was very special guests in the studio with us. a massively famous actor by New Zealand standards, I would say. Oh, hugely. That's a kick in the guts right off the top. Did you get that, man?
28:26Jase:I heard it.
28:27Keyzie:You know what I mean? Probably one of our most prolific working actors. Can I say that? No mention of talent, just prolific. I mean, you don't get to work unless you're talented, Moge. You know what I'm saying? Oh, that's not true, man. I'm talking about actor. Moge hasn't had a job in a while. No, that's true. Matt Whelan, g'day, you mad bastard. Hello. How's life? Good, good, yeah. Yeah, good. Good to be here. Good to be back. Have you thought about, Matt, because I'm not joking when I say you work a lot. You're doing a lot of projects. Have you thought about giving other people a go? Just sharing it around a bit?
29:00Come on, man.
29:01Keyzie:Don't hog all the roles. Are we in the same waiting rooms? In the same audition?
29:06Jase:Yeah, I think, I mean, look, there's a similarity in terms of looks between yourself and Jase. We're both leading men, like. We were talking prior to coming on here, and the problem with Jase complaining about other people taking all the roles is he doesn't answer any of the emails that his agent sends him. So not really one to complain.
29:24Keyzie:Yeah, that's true. That's true. Well, just on that, because back in the day when I was acting, Matt, and you'd go along to an audition, and you'd see a certain character and you'd go, oh, what's the point? You know, for me it was someone like a Joel Tobeck, for example. I'd see someone like that or a Mark Mitchison. and I go, I'm not even going to bother with this one. You know what I mean? You already sort of count yourself out. Was there ever sort of a nemesis for you in the audition room? I can't think of anyone here, but you would, but it was, I remember auditioning in the States and you would go in the room and there would just be carbon copies of you, you, you, you, you in every single seat and you would absolutely feel like that, you know?
30:04Yeah. But, and you do see the same people sort of turn up in the room, I guess. What about, I'm probably by a mile the least experienced actor in this room. I'd say so. I'd say so. I've done three ad auditions. None of them succeeded. We're still waiting to hear that. Came very close on a couple of them, Keezy. But do you ever have the thing where you go and audition and then you don't get it and then you see who they did cast and then you're like, oh, that's what they were after. Not me. I'm not that. Oh, yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Right. And sometimes that's when you found out that you didn't get the role.
30:37Yeah. Yes. Yeah, you see it on air. Yeah. Yeah, totally. Yeah, that's happened many times. I go, oh, that was, I had no shot. Yeah, right.
30:46Jase:And it depends entirely on who the director is. It could be you, but it could be, you can't take it personally, I guess, when you don't get cast. In the same regard as you can't think you're the best actor in the world just because you got the role. My favourite thing about auditioning that keeps you grounded was always the massive humiliations that you have in the audition room where you have to use your imagination in a way that outside of a set, You look ridiculous. You must have a few of those that you've had. Yeah, I auditioned for an Austrian fruit yogurt advert, and the ad was me as a puppet who looked like Freddie Mercury, and I had to just perform as a marionette puppet for about 10 minutes straight in front of the camera, and that was my entire audition.
31:37Did you eat yogurt? And I didn't. I think in the ad I did actually get that role. Oh, you got it though.
31:43Jase:I did get that role. Yeah, well that makes me feel better when you get the role. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I've had some dumb ones though as well.
31:49Keyzie:Before we get, because this is great stuff, before we get into your new film workmates, I'll tell you my ultimate humiliator was an Air New Zealand ad and in the ad you had to show your naked buttocks. And it was just an ad. Yep. And the person running the audition said, are you comfortable showing your naked buttocks? And I said, no, no, I'm not comfortable doing that. And she said, oh, well, would you be comfortable then? This is bloody true. Wearing your undies and giving yourself a wedgie. And I went, oh, yes, mate. So I did it, man. I gave myself a wedgie and wandered around this audition room going, oh, my gosh, I hate my life.
32:31Keyzie:Workmates, tell us about it. I just want to say You just brought back You brought back a trauma for me A very early job that I had We're talking about embarrassing jobs right I was once I was unknowingly The face of a bad breath campaign Oh right Posted on the back of buses And pamphlets and dentists Everywhere in Christchurch How did they do that? So we were studying at Hagley Theatre Company And they came in one day And they said We want to take photos of just, you know, just take some photos of this ad we're doing. So we all go in and me and my mates, we're all smiling and having a good time.
33:12And then they get me by myself to take some just of me. And I'm smiling and grinning. And they're saying, oh, just tone it down a bit, Matt. Just look a bit sadder. Bit sadder. More solemn. More solemn. And suddenly I'm just frowning and looking solemn. And I'm wondering why, like, what's this about? And then it comes out. and I'm on the front cover and it says something like 75 % of men suffer from bad breath and they're just me like looking depressed.
33:38Keyzie:I couldn't believe it. Did you get paid? That's outrageous. No. Really? We did it for free. What was the name of the company? I can't remember. It was for dentists around Christ.
33:48Jase:Jase was the face of male impotence in New Zealand for an advertising campaign. Yeah, erectile dysfunction.
33:53Keyzie:Yeah, yeah. Which is weird because, you know, I run a rager most of the time. But, no, listen, Matt, we'll go to a tune, and then we'll come back and talk workmates. The Hauraki Big Show, with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue, and Keezy. Foo Fighters there on the radio, Hauraki Big Show, this Tuesday afternoon, and we've got actor Matt Whelan, sorry. Nearly, nearly Matt Whelan, who's just released a film called Workmates.
34:25Jase:Yeah.
34:25Keyzie:Tell us about it, Matt. What's it about?
34:27Jase:Well, first of all, let me say that it's written by Sophie Henderson, who also is your co-star. Yes. I understand you've done a bit of theatre work with her. She's renowned as one of the most horrendous people in the New Zealand film, theatre and television industry, isn't she? Untrue. She's a shocker. False. Yeah. No, no. This was our sixth collaboration together. Jeez. Wow. Including theatre. And you guys are like a love interest. Yeah. So doing that with someone you're so experienced with Is it easy to switch it on? So easy. Really? It really is, yeah. Well, yeah, that's what it is. It's a comedy romance film, I guess, about these two people running a theatre that is falling down around them.
35:11Like most of them. Yeah, right. Yeah. And it is about how hard it is to make art, how underfunded it is. You know, it is a love letter to theatre, to the community, to the creatives. and it's also about them navigating their messy relationship, I guess. Sure. Is there any lovemaking? There is a little hint. It's implied as I'm not in that scene. It's implied.
35:37Keyzie:Hot. Actually, we're just on that. I don't want to stray away from workmates again. No, no. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because it's interesting. Quite often, you know, in the creative process and working on stuff, There are romances, just like anything, I guess, when you're working with other people. Was that kind of the thing that it's a sort of juxtaposition between the relationship and running a theatre? Yeah, absolutely. God, I'm good. Nailed it. Thanks, man. And just about working with someone for a long time and that kind of situationship, I suppose, that could arise between that. Are they friends?
36:15Are they more than that? And it's about them kind of experiencing that, I guess, and kind of trying to work it out.
36:22Jase:Yeah. And a bit of an ensemble cast. I've seen the trailer. That's all I've seen. I haven't been to the film as yet, mate, but hoping to get an invite. How were the rest of the cast and who else you got in there? I've seen that Milo Cawthorn, is it? Milo Cawthorn's hilarious. He's a very funny man. Very funny. Arlo Green. Yeah. We have Aki and Zoe. Zoe Robertson. But this is the cool thing about it, was that everybody who was a part of the show had something to do with the theatre. Everyone who turned up, even the people who came along and were extras and helped us out, everyone had some connection to the basement theatre, even though it's not about the basement.
37:07We call it the crystal ballroom. But we shot it in the basement and it is a semi-autobiographical piece from Sophie. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But yeah, everyone was... It was a really supportive family, I guess. Yeah. If people do want to go along and see this, by the way, it comes out August 21st. It is called Workmates. Romantic comedy, would you use that? Is that how you describe it? Yeah, yeah. We've got a few double passes to actually give away to this.
37:35Jase:Actually, Kesey. You've just got the one left. No. That's a shame. I'm sure Michael can sort you out one as well. But if you'd like to go along to it, give us a text on 3483, and we'll pull a few names out of the hat there.
37:45Keyzie:Kesey, I'm just thinking, a romantic comedy. it'd be great for you and your wife because you like a bit of a laugh and a bit of romance. There's no filth in it, is there? Okay, you see? And it's heavy on the romance. Oh, really? Yeah, yeah. Why just me and my wife? Well, because, you know, your wife doesn't like spooky stuff and this is like a romance slash comedy. Yeah, right, yeah. And she doesn't like filth. Oh, actually, well, that's, okay, we'll just take both double passes then. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. One for me then. Sort it. Yeah, yeah, nice. One question before we let you go, Matt. Just looking at your IMDb, man, which is, for those that don't know, a page that all actors have.
38:21Jase, have you got one? I don't know. You will have. Yeah, I think you do have one. Probably. It says here in 2019 you were on an episode of The Broken Wood Mysteries. I was. Yeah. Congratulations, man. Jase is the barman on that TV show. Great show. What was your character on that? I played Jack Rudd. He was an author. Were you the murderer? No, I was the I got killed Oh, right Was Jase in that episode? No, we weren't in the same episode Oh, what?
38:55Keyzie:Jeez, that's a bugger So it was work pretty quiet around that time or something, was it? I had a ball doing that show Jase loves it It's just hugely popular It was sold in 80 countries But Mogi informed me yesterday That Wellington Paranormal What was it, Mogi? 101 101.
39:13Jase:110, yeah. 110, wow. I had an email today, 120. Oh. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
39:19Keyzie:How good, man. Hey, well, Matt, all the best for the film. I'm going to go along and see it, along with my lovely wife. I love a New Zealand film. Yes. You know what I mean? I'm being genuine, too. And is that part of the festival, right? It is. It's part of the festival now, but the general release is on August the 21st. Great. Right in everywhere. Good on you, mate. It's called Work, Mates. It stars Matt Whelan. Thanks for coming in. And Sophie. The Hauraki Big Show Podcast Blink 182 there on the radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday afternoon I'm in pain fellas I'm hanging out for some chips The fridge door is open There's chips in there The addict in me is just twitching Twitching twitching
39:59Jase:Hauraki Jay's a bit scared to get in there
40:01Keyzie:Aren't you brother? Well I want one of you guys to steal a packet It's always me that has to do it
40:06Jase:Well here's the thing man I've given my word to Mike Lane That I'm not going to take any more chips because I've become aware how much it means to him, those chips, those free chips that he gets for free. It's just one bag of chips, fellas. So that's the thing. So I've given my word. And that might not mean anything to you, Jase, but it means a lot to me. Now, Keezy's done the same. Have you? Pretty much. No, no, no. What happened was when he blew up about it, I just decided there and there, I was like, fine. It's obviously pretty serious about these chips. I won't steal anymore. You like those chips, man.
40:33Jase:That's right. And to be fair, that's about 20 % of the chip thefts now that we've stopped. 80 % of it is you. Yeah, that's right. And you haven't given you. And I'm shocked that you've held out as long as you have, to be completely honest with you, because you're a shocking bastard. You're a nightmare. I'm a thief. You are. I'm an addict. You are. Yeah. A thief in the night. But the temptation is right there. That's the thing, man. And I don't think you're going to be able to resist. And when you open those chips, man, I'll be right there beside you. Yeah. Stuff in my face. Coming up after six, by the way, we're going to go over the WARS team list ahead of this Friday's game against the Dragons, which comes out at 6pm sharp.
41:13Yes. Yes, so good. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
41:22Keyzie:You're welcome back, you massive backbones. Hope you've survived your Tuesday. You're listening to The Big Show, brought to you by Reburger. Beef, chicken, vegan and vegetarian options too. Reburger, redefining the norm. Reburger. Yum. Sauce, chicken. I knew it was going to be sauce chicken. Yeah, good. Do you know it? I just had a feeling in the testicles. So you didn't even say it. Well, it's not my place to do it, Keezy. Mogi's back and that's his thing. Yeah, guessing which sting I'm going to play is Mogi's thing.
41:52Jase:Yeah, although I'm over it now, so I'm just sort of saying any old thing in there.
41:56Keyzie:Yeah. You know what I mean? Yum. I'm getting that vibe. And I mean, if I was in that situation where I could win a$50 Reburger voucher, I'd be all over it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I mean? I'd be full of beans. Yeah. And little saucies. And little saucies. Coming up, by the way, it's Teamless Tuesday. And God, I tell you what, I love it when the fellas get into really in-depth Warriors chat in the studio. It's like actually when Pugsan and Keezy get into gamer chat. I was just thinking the same thing. No, it's just good stuff. Well, because the thing is, right, I've been away for three weeks.
42:32And I was just saying to Mogey, the Warriors have lost three weeks in a row. Yeah. And so I've come back to, and I'm still in the Waza awesome, and they are awesome, but I'm still in the Waza going great guns mode. I haven't witnessed this three-game slide. So it's going to be interesting, but we will be going through the team list shortly, which I'm fired up about.
42:50Keyzie:Are you trying to suggest, Keezy, that they lost because you weren't watching? Yeah. Yeah, I want to make it about me. The reason the Warriors have been playing bad. Well, they haven't been playing badly. How do you know? You haven't seen them. Yeah, that's a good point. Have they been playing badly, Jase? Have you been watching? Oh, look, it's been touch and go. Oh, how do you know? You haven't seen them. I've been glued to the screen. Sure, man. Thank you, Keezy. Sure, yeah. Hey, teamless next. Is this Muse? Sure is. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy. Smashing pumpkins here on the radio.
43:23Keyzie:Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday evening. Hey, fellas, have you heard of Hire a Hubby? Yes. In fact, we did a giveaway with them a few months ago. We did. Oh, that's right. We made the veggie bed.
43:36Jase:Yeah, we went round to that bloke's place and there was dog crap everywhere. Yeah, there was dog poos everywhere. Dog poos all over the lawn. That's right. We've teamed up with Hire a Hubby once again. They are the everything experts to offer our handyman services to one of your lucky listeners. If you've got a job that needs done, head to hodaki.co.nz, tell us about it, and you'll get yourself in the draw there. Love it. That's all thanks to the problem solvers, the property problem solvers at Hire a Hubby. They are in the market for new franchisees, by the way. So if you are keen, make sure you get in touch.
44:07Keyzie:There's plenty I need doing around my house, fellas. Yeah, I reckon just demo the whole thing, man, by the sound of it. Just bulldoze it. I'm with you. Let's do some Waz chat. Yeah. Time to chat footy with me. Yeah, man. Doosh. What are the Warriors up to? The Warriors are playing the St. George Illawarra Dragons this Friday, 8pm. The Dragons are 11th on the table. They are not amazing, but not terrible either. And they are a team that can potentially upset us and continue this three-game losing streak. Hang on a second. I just asked off air what the result was going to be because I thought St.
44:47Keyzie:George were really good, but they're 11th. You said, Mogi, they're going to give us an absolute hiding. I think we'll probably lose. Right. Okay. I thought they were like top four or something. Mogi's preparing for the worst, hoping for the best. The players are the best, absolutely.
45:01Jase:That's exactly right. So looking at the team list, a few interesting things. There were rumours that Rocco Berry and Ali Leotawa were firming to return. They are our centre pairing. They've been out pretty much all year. We've had like one game with both of them. Unfortunately, they aren't back yet. So Chansnickel-Clockstar is staying in the centres. Taintuapik, he's been named at fullback again. And unfortunately, Temaire Martin, who started in the halves last week for the first time all season, got a head knock. He is now out for probably a while because he's got a really complicated history with head injuries.
45:32In fact, he had to medically retire from Rugby League a few years back. So he will be out for a wee while, which means Tanner Boyd is back in the side again in the house.
45:41Jase:Yeah, I think that's all good. I think that's all good. I think it's as good as, well, yeah.
45:46Keyzie:Has he fallen from, because he came back and played that storming first game. He did. Has he fallen from grace again, has he? Who, Tanner?
45:54Jase:I think generally the team hasn't been going great games, but for some reason he seemed to cop the blame for it and weirdly didn't play last week where they really needed somebody with a great kicking game and the pouring down rain over there in Canterbury. Just looking at the form here, Keezer, you're going to love this, brother. So we're in fifth now. We've fallen out of the top four for the first time since round six, I believe. Canberra, Melbourne and Penrith all have, from their last ten games, a record of nine wins and one loss. okay that's in the first second and fourth the Warriors have four wins and six losses in our last ten games and we've lost our last three games in a row so just as but I don't blame them like I love the team it's not me just you know putting the boot into the waz love the waz but the fact of the matter is we have a hell of a lot of injuries Ali Laotoa is out ankle round 24 Rocco Berry out shoulder round 25 Wade Egan makes his return this weekend.
46:51Jase:Tomite Martin is probably going to be gone for the season. Yeah. Dimitri Vamunga is done. His knee is gone. They don't know when he'll be back. Mitch Barnett is gone for the season. Luke Metcalf is gone for the season. Jake Laban, they're saying he might be back for the finals. He broke his leg, for God's sake. He's got to be gone for the season. But right there, you're looking at around about eight of your starters that are out. You cannot expect to lose eight starting players and still be as good as you were over the first half of the season. Definitely. So all the best to the fellas. Wish them all the best.
47:24Jase:Next man up, all that sort of stuff. But, jeez, if it was that easy to go around and, you know, finish in finals footy, beat everybody else up, if you lose half your team, jeez, you'd be going pretty good. The Hauraki Big Show podcast.
47:38Keyzie:Green day there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday evening. Hey, Moggy, what were you doing in the 90s? Were you in Aussie then?
47:46Jase:No, only 99 to 2003. So I was in New Zealand just ripping it up, man.
47:51Keyzie:Were the 90s in New Zealand your dole days? Yes. Yeah, hell good.
47:57Jase:Yeah, yeah, yeah. So probably about 94 into 95 would have been my dole days.
48:02Keyzie:It was interesting. It was actually my youngest daughter who said to me, I was telling her about how I was on the dole for a while, and she said, oh, my God, that must have been so depressing. And I was like, how are they healthy in days? Yeah. I mean, yes, I had no money, but, God, I was having a hell of a time.
48:18Jase:We're just spending our time smoking darts, not having girlfriends, jacking it and doing 90s countdowns. Totally, man, totally. What was that second to last one? That's right. We are doing a 90s countdown at the moment, Moggy. What? So doll Moggy would probably love this. I would. I'd stay at home specifically so I could listen to it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And punch some darts. And punch some darts.
48:43Keyzie:Maybe have a few quiet bevies.
48:46Jase:Only if it was Thursday.
48:47Keyzie:Only if it was Thursday for me as well. At 8am. Yes. Nothing but 90s Countdown. It's happening in a couple of weeks' time. We're currently in the voting stage. If you would like to vote for your favourite tune from the 90s, text the word VOTE to 3483. Of course, we'll be tallying those votes and using it to adjust the countdown. But also by doing so, you go in the draw to win a 90s Rewind kit that features a whole lot of classic stuff from the 90s, including a Fender guitar, a replica 95 Warriors jersey, and also$1 ,000 cash. Plenty more stuff in there as well. Have you got that, Keezy? All the details up at hodaki.co.nz.
49:22What's that, sorry? The 95 Warriors jersey.
49:25Keyzie:Yeah, mine's in 94. 94, okay. When did they actually start? 95. Oh, 95. That's why Keezy's is so special. Well, I got you. You're having a little dig at Hoody J there. No, because the club was announced in 93 and they started selling jerseys in 93. Yeah, yeah. And then mine just happens to be from 94. Did it take... Which is special. Two years from when they were announced until they actually played. Yeah, 100%. God, that's ridiculous. So you want to announce a club and then start playing the next day?
49:51Jase:Yeah, so they're going to have a countdown to the kickoff. Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Get the fan base up. Hey, I've got a question for you, Hoody Chiz, Bob. Yes. How many songs are in this 90s countdown? 500. 500. Yes, I believe so. That's a lot. It's not that many. It's about 500. Yeah, but no. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So 500 of the biggest tunes from the 90s. Text the word VOTE to 3483. Have your say, and it kicks off in a couple of weeks' time. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey.
50:25Keyzie:Pete Floyd there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday evening. Now, listen up. Got a lot of experience in this room, and while you fellows were away over in Europe, and I simply must go, we didn't really do meet Paddy Knapp69 where we give out advice. Right. So how do you feel about getting back to it now that you're back? Fizzing. Very keen.
50:49MeetPattyNips69 Get in touch. With the feelers. It's a real email address. MeetPattyNips69 at gmail.com If we read your question out on the radio, you get yourself a$50 re-burger voucher instantly. And by instantly, I mean pugs will sort of get in contact and it'll take a couple of weeks. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Here's a great question. This is from Anonymous. Wow. G'day, fellas. Looking for some advice here. Come to the right place. I've been letting the boys down for far too long with my shit yarns at work. I have no interest in sport, cars, getting on it, or buzzy calendars. Which are the four things, right, fellas?
51:31Keyzie:Yeah, pretty much. He's nailed it. Could I get a few solid one-liners to get the conversation started and make the lads think I know a thing or two about a stereotypically masculine thing or two? Cheers, fellas. That takes me back, actually, to when I was on the work site and old Hoity J with his quill in the corner, you know, and smokos and stuff writing poems, you know. On the work site. On the work site. The fellas used to give me a bit of jip for that, you know, and talking about literature. Yeah. You know, and the problem was most of them were der brains. And so I actually used to feel bad about it, but then it was like, actually, no, they're all der brains.
52:11Keyzie:I'm way more intelligent than them. You're better than them. I'm better than them. You know what I mean? I don't want to talk about buzzies. What was your role on the worksite? Yeah. Supervisor. And what trade was it? Oh, all sorts. Carpentry. Yeah. I was in a garage for a while. Just in a garage? Just sitting in the garage there with your quill. Yeah. Yeah. With my beret on. What about you, Maggie? What are your go-to one-liners when it comes to buzzy calendars?
52:38Jase:Well, I don't really have many lines when it comes to buzzy calendars. Can I just, sorry, I must have just completely tuned out at the start there. Why does it need to talk about pussy calendars?
52:48Keyzie:Well, just what fellas talk about on site. That's okay. As fellas at work.
52:52Jase:Well, you know, I mean, I think the thing that you go down with, you've got to come in on your Monday morning, you've got to lead with it. You go, how about them warriors? Yeah. You know, and then somebody else says something, and you go, look, I've had it up to the back teeth, I don't even want to talk about it. Yes. That way you don't have to talk about it, and it makes it seem like it really matters to you so much that you cut deep. I mean, I do that every Monday. But what if, no, totally, Jase. But what if the Warriors win? Oh, similarly. Okay. So now you go, you know, now that's what I'm talking about.
53:24Jase:You know what I've been talking about over these past weeks? Finally. Finally. Finally, Webby's doing something about it. Don't want to talk about it? Webby's on the right track. I don't want to talk. I don't want to jinx it. Those are your two extremes. I don't want to jinx it. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Yeah, that's good shit, man. then if anyone wants to chat. The only problem with that. And then buzzy calendar chat. Yeah. I mean, look, buzies speak for themselves. And I think the less you say about them, the better. Yes. I think you just sort of say something along the lines of, buzies, am I right?
53:55Jase:And who's going to disagree with that? The Hauraki Big Show Podcast.
54:07Keyzie:Wow. There you go, eh? Fjellas, another one done. That's how you do it. Just a douche. That was a huge show. Oh, my God. I learned so much. I'm really grateful for you, Fjellas, sharing all that stuff about Europe to me.
54:19Jase:Well, if you could, honestly, man, sharing the tales of travel, it's kind of what it's all about. I guess so, yeah. And you can just give your thanks by a small koha. I'll be taking a small koha. Sure, man. Yeah, I reckon like 20, 30 bucks. It's just a gesture. Yeah, and it's kind of a way of saying thank you for... Us sharing our knowledge with you. Yeah, yeah. Because now it feels, I'm sure, from where you're sitting, like you've also been to Europe. Yeah. Obviously you haven't.
54:48Keyzie:I've kind of experienced it through your eyes. Yeah. 100%. Well, you haven't, but yeah. I still feel like a bit of a deer brain. Oh, hundy. You know, like a bit of a provincial. Yeah. But boy, I can't wait.
54:59Jase:An absolute rube. You know, sort of a dropkick that's come from the country or hanging out of your gob.
55:06Keyzie:Yeah, yeah, exactly, exactly.
55:08Jase:A yokel.
55:09Keyzie:Now, the podcast outro today, which is a warm-up to the show, basically. Let's just say what it is, fellas. It's bonus content, yeah. Yeah, blah, blah. What's the clip today? I think it's about Europe. The thing is, Jase, coming back from Europe isn't like coming back from Vietnam. It's completely different. I'm sure. I'm sure it is.
55:30Jase:You wouldn't even begin to understand. If you ever get the chance to come back from Europe, Jase, You certainly must Yes
55:36Keyzie:You certainly must come back From Europe And be depressed I'm going to have to save up My pennies fellas
55:45Jase:Jeez that brought back some memories Just that little clip Yeah
55:49Keyzie:I bet Do you know what they call clips in Europe? What do they call them Keezy? Nah they're just clips Not everything's different man That's the first thing you're going to need to learn about Europe Is not everything's different?
