In short

The Hauraki Big Show discusses whether it’s acceptable to tell a mate that their partner is attractive, focusing on how it’s said (and how often). They run a live “Big Poll” (text 3483 and Instagram) and debate “sifty”/creepy behavior. They also do segments about a Fiji prize trip, dislike of massages, TV/gaming recommendations, a “chips” commitment joke, and show-meeting drama about using a $250 food voucher.

Guests

No external guests. On-air hosts are Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue, and Keyzie (Keezy), plus recurring producer/Studio B staff (Big Dilly, Studio B; “Mogi” absent).

Key claims

Complimenting a mate’s partner is generally fine if relationships are secure; overdoing it or the tone can feel creepy. Fiji trip includes golf, massages, snorkeling, and Jase’s private deep-sea/free diving. Massage professionals are “non-sensual” but Jase dislikes being touched.

Notable examples

Poll result: 62% said yes. They rehearse acceptable phrases (“attractive/pretty/striking/beautiful”) and reject “pretty ugly.” They reference Pugs’ “buzzy/burlesque” party and a clip about him being worried about podcast content.

0:00The Hauraki Big Show. Thanks to crave-worthy street food. Freshly made with Reburger. Don't fight it. It's time to go up a size. This is the biggest, biggest, biggest, biggest, this is the biggest, our biggest show. The Hauraki Big Show. With Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keyzie.

0:20Keyzie:Oh, g'day you mad bastards. Great to have your company this gloomy Tuesday afternoon, the 23rd of September 2025. And you, my friends, as always, listening to The Big Show, bought to you by Reburger. Grave-worthy street food, freshly made with Reburger. Yum. Jeez, you're looking really good today, Tony. Can I just say... Tony. I'm loving the hair, Keezy. And your mows looking very lush. You're looking very put together today, man. You've really made an effort. Yeah, thanks, Jase. I mean, your voice sounds shit, but you're looking good. Thanks for that, Jase. I like to make an effort when I come into work.

0:58I figure one of us has to, you know. So I'll tell you what, though. You've got a new lid. Yeah, I sure do. Don't I feel?

1:05Keyzie:I'll tell you a little story about that later in the show. It's a doozy. Oh, a little hair story? I'll put that on the tease of what's coming up on the show. Yeah, cool. Of course, we've got Pugsan running the buttons today, man. How are you going? I'm rutting them well, Keezy. I'm well, thanks, man. Grateful to be here with you guys, as always. Very lucky. You're rutting the buttons? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Well, you're shagging them. Oh, straight to the filth. I know. I was shocked. Oh, no, hang on. What? I was just saying what you said. You could have made a bit more of an effort with the clothes today, Pugson.

1:36Keyzie:Oh, really? Is this because I'm in Keezy's seat? Keezy's looking really sharp. I'm looking really sharp. And frankly, you're looking shabby. Do you think if I sat in Mogi's old seat, would it make any difference? No. Okay, cool. Just checking, though, just on that. Do I look like a rogue stallion? To me, you do, yeah. Oh, I wouldn't go that far. Okay, it's not the seat. I just look good. Hey fellas, do you want to know what's coming up on the show today? Yes please

2:02What's happening on the big show With old Mo Of course plenty more chances To get yourself in the draw to join us in Fiji Playing golf, we are drawing that soon So make sure you listen out for the queue to call Get ready to call 0800-HODAK

2:15Keyzie:And just on that front by the way, we've agreed to do a carver session While we're over there Have we? Yes ma 'am Well we need to discuss that later on We've discussed it off here Also, Jase tells a wicked story about his hair. Cool. Here's Green Day. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. Yes, indeed. The door's there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday afternoon. The time, 13 minutes past four o 'clock, which means it's time for the Big Pole. The Big Pole.

2:51Now, this is a bit of an impromptu Big Pole. our content planner sheet, which we all have, which is vast, by the way, and full of great ideas. Extensive.

2:59Keyzie:It's packed. It's packed to the gunnels. We've moved all that stuff aside because something arose, for lack of a better term, during the podcast outro. It was involving Pugs and a particular party he went to over the weekend. Hello. One thing led to another, and then Jace commented on how Pugs' partner is quite attractive. Pugs How did you react to that? Because my interpretation of how you reacted to that Was you bristled at the fact that he had said that Yes I think I bristled at it Not because I disagree with you Jase And why would you? Because I believe You were being sifty Creepy Yeah right okay And we dove in a little bit to the colloquial New Zealand term That is sifty you being a pest.

3:52And that's what I took umbrage with. Yeah. See, whereas where I'm sitting, I didn't think he was being a pest. Thank you, Kesey. I thought he was. Yeah, 100%. And this is sort of what we want to gauge on the big show today with the big poll is, is it okay to say that your mate's partner is attractive? Because he was just saying your partner's very attractive. It wasn't so much that. It was when he sort of said it about 15 more times and then proceeded to say how hot she was on the podcast. I don't think I ever said hot, did I, Keezy? 7.30 tonight, you can listen. Yeah, it'll be out at 7.30 tonight.

4:25But the thing is, right, we're all great friends here. We're all in very secure relationships. I mean, I certainly am, fellas. I mean, my relationship is secure.

4:38And with that in mind, I'm perfectly happy to, you know, look at, for example, Jase and say, Jase, your partner is extremely attractive.

4:45Keyzie:I agree with you, Kesey. And I can equally look at Kesey and say his wife is a very, very, very attractive woman. Right, okay, hang on. I see what's happening here. Don't get me wrong. Don't get me wrong. I did take umbrage with your approach on the podcast, Jase, but I think you have every right to call my partner attractive. Thank you. Because she absolutely is. Yes. And I think your wife is an absolute hottie. Totally, man. Smoke show. Yeah, I agree. I agree. And you see, I celebrate that. I know, totally. You know what I mean? I go, thanks, fellas, because she is a smoke show. Why do you think I make love all the time?

5:31She has to, yeah. Yeah, I don't know, man. Chris, I think your wife, gorgeous. Thank you. Yeah. Thank you. so what do we think New Zealand? 3483 is it okay to say that your mates partners are attractive incredibly attractive like Pugs' partner and Jace's partner let us know 3483 you can also call on 0800 HODAKI and you could win yourself a$50 re-burger voucher at HODAKI BIG SHOW on Insta just put it up get on there for the official poll oh it's a vote on the poll? yeah yeah what is the poll? is Pugs' partner hot? no what is it? well no that'd be too easy somebody actually just texted in on 3483 is she hot?

6:08hell yeah Yeah. Jesus. The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

6:18Keyzie:Yes, indeed. Audio Slave there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday afternoon. The time, 24 minutes past four o 'clock. We're right in the middle of doing a Hauraki Big Show big poll. Yeah. This is an impromptu big poll. Based on something that happened on the podcast outro today, Jase commented saying that Pugs' partner was very attractive. Pugs bristled at that. I perhaps thought you were putting too much mayo on that, Jase, and being a bit creepy. Well, I just meant it, that's all. I was being authentic. I want you to be authentic, Jase. Can I say that? Yeah, cool. So what we've asked on 3483, you can also vote on the Hodaki Bigger's Instagram story, is is it okay to say your mate's partner is attractive?

7:00Yes. A lot of texts coming through on 3483. First question was, is she hot? Jase, answer. Yes. Perfect. complimenting your mate's missus' attractiveness is completely fine, but since it's Jase, I think it might be borderline sexual harassment. Oh, I mean, I... Well, just because it's you. Yeah, that's not... It's just sort of the approach that you've taken, you know what I mean?

7:21Keyzie:Well, look, as I say, I'm just genuinely authentic about it. You know what I mean? As I said, Kesey's married to a very, very, very attractive woman. That's okay. You've added a third very there. Oh, did I? Yeah. Great point here on 3483. Well, to be honest, it'll go down to a damn sight better than saying they look like a dog's breakfast. Can't disagree with that. That's true. Can't disagree. Can I just make the point, too, before you make this all about me? I mean, you were saying, Kesey, my wife's an absolute smoke show. Well, that's because she is, Jase. Yeah, she is. You don't need to tell me that.

7:55Why do you think I make love all the time? That's what you said, man. Hey, Jase. What about this take on 3483? I think young people don't like it, perhaps youthful insecurity, but us oldies love being told our partners are hot. Yeah. So you agree with that?

8:09Keyzie:Have you guys ever been in a scenario where I have very often been told I'm punching? Yes. Yeah, I get told I'm punching all the time. Yeah, and I'm inclined to think I am. It's the same thing. That's the crazy thing about it because all of us here on The Big Show are punching because we're all heinous. Yeah, we're disgusting. We look like shit. Yeah, and it stinks in here. And we all reek of BO, apparently. but all our partners are smoke shows real hot real sexy all of them this text here on 3483 it's fine as long as you don't over exaggerate how hot she is just keep it humble and I thought Jase maybe this is the issue because you're a wordsmith right you love throwing extra spice on he's a poet Pugs at heart so maybe should we just practice you saying that Pugs' partner is attractive so just give us How would you say that normally?

9:05Keyzie:Pugs' partner? Yeah, so just as a hypothetical situation. Right, she is hot. Okay, see. What? Okay, so no, remember I'm impartial here. I'm totally neutral. Pugs, how did that make you feel? I just, I don't know. It's hard for me to take a lens of like. She is a smoke show. Right, hang on, Jase. That's good, mate. I like where your head's at. But sorry, Pugs, what were you saying? I appreciate the enthusiasm, Jase And the passion that you clearly feel Right I'm just Okay, it made you uncomfortable? No Okay, well Not me personally uncomfortable I'm just sort of thinking about maybe That's right Okay That's the only thing I care about in this scenario Alright, well Jase, do you want to have another crack And just lower it by like 20%, man?

9:49About Pugs' partner? Yeah, yeah, yeah Holy hell Sorry, I thought you've gone the other way Oh, right You drop it by 20 %

9:57Keyzie:Oh, drop it by 20 % Yeah, down here. Yeah, lower. Now you're talking. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kesey. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki. The Big Show Swingers Club is back. And this time, it's going global. Bull up. Racism alert. Racism alert. Do we think we just give up on that? Yeah, maybe. I just won't say it anymore, right? Yeah, I think that's probably for the best. I mean, I can say it when I'm over there, obviously. Oh, yeah, you should go to town when you're over there. What do you mean by over there, Jase? What do you mean by that? Fiji. Yeah, baby. Because we're going to Fiji, man.

10:37We're staying at the Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa. We're going to be playing golf, having massages, going on a reef snorkel tour. No, and no. Well, a big chunk of us will be, but Jase will be going on his own private deep-sea diving, free diving tour. With no gear, eh? With no gear, because you said you don't like any of that other stuff.

10:54Keyzie:I don't like anything attached to my body when I'm deep water diving. Right, okay. I just like to go... Deep water diving. Yeah. Just read the massages. Who's doing those? Well, they are. Are they? Yeah, they do massages and stuff. I just find it all a bit sort of sifty. Have you ever had a massage, Jase? Yes, I have. A non-sensual one? All of my massages. Well, I mean, with other people have been non-sensual. What do you mean with other people? Yeah. My wife might give me a massage. No, I'm talking about like a proper, you paid money. Yeah, like a professional. Yes. Yeah. And you don't like them?

11:29Keyzie:No, not really. I don't like people touching me. Right. We are looking for people to jump in the draw with us, you and a friend. The Cuticle did just play, so let's go to the lines, eh, fellas. Yeah, g'day, Andrew, you mad bastard. How's life? I'm good, thanks, mate. How are you? Yeah, good, thanks, Andrew. A bit windy where you are, is it? Oh, she's a bit windy, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Where are you calling from, mate? From Masterdon. Oh, backbone. And what do you do for a crust, Andrew? I'm a builder, actually. Oh, yeah. Backbone. Huge backbone. Yeah, backbone. And you like a bit of golf action, Andrew?

12:04Yeah, I love it. Can't get enough of it.

12:05Keyzie:Yeah, I'm the same, man. I'm addicted. Oh, you guys are like kindred spirits, man. It's awesome. Kindred spirits? Kindred. I hate massages too, actually, eh? Yeah, good on you, Andrew. It's a match made in heaven. Totally, man. We can be a pair on the course. To be honest with you, Andrew, And to be honest with you, Kesey's dragging my score down at the moment and I need someone that plays at a higher level. Yeah, I can help you out with that, mate. Yeah, good stuff. Good on you, Andrew. Well, we chuck you in the draw, brother, all right? So good luck. Cheers, mate. Thanks, mate. God, he was calling from like a tornado or something.

12:40It's obviously windy down there in Macedon.

12:42Keyzie:G'day, Dylan, you mad bastard. How's life? Oh, not bad. Feels. How are we? Yeah, good, thanks, mate. Good, good, good. What do you do for a crust, Dylan? I work in local government, Jase. Oh, backbone. Boring. I mean, backbone. Backbone. Are you running for election at the moment, Dylan? Nah, God, no, mate. No, no, just one of the grafters. Oh, yeah. Good on you, mate. You are a backbone. You're one of the ones that actually gets things done while other people just talk crap. Kind of, kind of. Yeah, nice. You just want to say anything incriminating on the radio, Jase. Yeah, that's true. Stop leading the witness, man.

13:17Keyzie:What sort of handicap are you running there, Dylan? I'm not too far into the game, so I'm playing off about a 30 at the moment, actually. Oh, yes, I'm a keysy territory. Jase's level, man. That's perfect. Yeah. And who would you take with you if you were lucky enough to win? Probably just take one of my mates. I've heard the ideas of playing a bit of a round to decide who'd come along, so I'd probably take on that. Yeah, great. That's a good idea. It is a good way to do it. All right, Dylan, well, we'll chuck you in the draw, mate. Good luck. Cheers, boys. Just on that, this is a true story on the massage front.

13:52Keyzie:My wife actually got me a massage for my birthday. Right. It's the worst birthday present ever. I was just like, oh, no. And anyway, I went along to this massage, and this is totally true. Right. She touched me and immediately out loud said, oh, Jesus. What, because of how much stress you were carrying? Yes. And then she proceeded to go, you're going to be okay. I'll be very gentle. It wasn't because of any sort of weird skin rash or anything like that. It's weird that you just bring that up. Yeah, like your skin tags. It was because I was so tense and knotted up that it shocked her. You just need to chill out and have a massage, man.

14:32Yeah. You'd be sweet. Come on, Jason. Tell you what, I'll come with you, and Pugs will come with you as well and film it for social.

14:40Keyzie:Here's Linkin Park. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki. The Rolling Stones here on the Radio Hauraki. Big show this Tuesday afternoon. Jeez, what an afternoon it is. I'll tell you what actually happens during the breaks there while the music's playing. Old Hoody Jay has to sit through massively painful gamer chat between Pugsan, Keezy and Big Dilly and Studio B. And it's really fascinating as they go into the depths of gaming and oh, but you've got to get like extra strong tendons and then you can jump. Reinforce tendons. Reinforce tendons. Reinforce tendons. You should, yeah.

15:21Keyzie:And then you can jump double the distance and Pugs is like, oh my God, that's so good to know. And it's like, oh God. Sorry, Jase, that's a little hack for anyone playing Cyberpunk 2077, by the way. Yeah, yeah. Oh, right. Are we going to chat TV or what? Yeah, I suppose so. What's on the telly with Mike Minogue.

15:44Yes.

15:49I can go first if you want. Sure, man. Last night I watched another episode on TVNZ+. Averaging about one of these episodes of this particular show, Pooh Week, half an hour. Pooh Week? Yeah, I said Pooh Week. Yeah, I said one of these episodes, Pooh Week. Because that's something I'd say on the radio. Look how funny you guys think that is, eh? I'm just saying what you said, man. I'm averaging one episode of this show per week. Okay. British comedy, Here We Go, on TVNZ+. It's called Here We Go. I haven't seen a British comedy that's just straight slapstick, funny and hilarious and stupid, in a long, long time.

16:29It's great. It's absolutely fantastic. I give it, at this point in time, after watching five episodes, which are getting funnier, they're getting funnier, 4.3 buzzies out of five. Wow. Here We Go, on TVNZ+. That's higher than I rated adolescence yesterday. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. What's it called? I've said it like five times. It's called Poo Week. It's called Here We Go. I'd be interested in you going and watching this, Jason, coming in and giving it like two buzzies out of five. Siri, can you remind me? You don't have an iPhone.

17:01Keyzie:Funnily enough, I was just bagging you feels about your gaming. I didn't watch anything last night because I was gaming. Sniper Siege? I was trying to get reinforcement tendons so I could jump double the amount and bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, points for Hoity J. Wow. For someone who claims to not be interested in video games, you know a lot. Totally, man. Because when you do jump with the reinforced tendons, it goes bloop, bloop, bloop, bloop, and then you get points. Well, I know, Casey. I'm playing the damn thing. What are you playing it on? My TV. You watch anything lately, Pugs?

17:36I am, actually. I just remembered I'm watching heaps of American Dad on Disney+. Oh, my goodness. So I'm a huge Family Guy fan. Seth MacFarlane, the creator of that, also created American Dad. And at the time American Dad came out, this was like early 2000s, I think when it first started, I massively poo-pooed it. I poo-weaked it because I was a Family Guy ride or die. Right. And so I've watched a bit of it, but now I'm watching it again, and it's actually very funny in many parts. It's also, like, there's a lot of stuff in there that I really didn't think that would fly. But it flew back then.

18:10Right? Yeah. Well, I suppose if South Park's doing what South Park's doing, then all those other cartoons are pretty much, you know. Yeah, very good point. But I hate South Park, so. Yeah, okay, right. How many buzzies out of five? Where did you watch it? I watched it on Disney Plus, and I'd give it a solid three buzzies. Wow, for an Eric and Eric. I got rid of Disney Plus.

18:31Keyzie:Cool. Because they dropped Jimmy Kimmel because he made jokes about people. And they went, you can't do that. And so they dropped him. And so they dropped him. And so I went, nah. Don't silence comedians, man. Just don't do it. All right? All right. Can we silence Jase right now by putting Nevada on? Guys, this is a tune. Lithium. Have you heard this, Jase? Jase. Don't go all silent now, comedian.

19:02The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

19:08Keyzie:Yeah, welcome back, you massive backbones. Hope you're surviving a Tuesday afternoon. You're listening to The Big Show, brought to you by Reburger. Seven good times and good food. Dine in or take away Reburger today. Reburger! Oh, an old school one, eh, Pugsun? Yeah, brought back a classic, man. Yeah, nice. You've got to do it, man. Yeah, nice work, man. Thanks, man. This is true. I get a bit weird. I always instinctually, after you say brought to you by Reburger, I instinctually go to say crave-worthy street food freshly made with Reburger, and then I have to stop myself because Pugs is doing it.

19:40Would you say you do it instinctually? Instinctively? Instinctually? Yeah. Which one is it? Instinctively.

19:49Keyzie:What's instinctually mean? There's no such word. Really? Yeah, man, I think you're having some sort of stroke. The issue we've got here is that you guys are really pulling me up on my pronunciation of everything today. And so now I'm being over, I'm like over-compensating for it. Well, we had that scenario today where we were doing the podcast outro and I learnt a new term because, you know, shifty. Sifty. I know, which I usually got, like shifty is something I understand and you said I was being very sifty. And I was like, what the hell are you talking about? You mean shifty, not sifty. It means being a pest.

20:30Yeah. Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

20:32Keyzie:Which I'm not, by the way. I just need to clarify. I've just never heard sifty used in that sort of term. You can listen to Jase not being sifty on the podcast outro out at 7.30pm. Yeah. Are you sure you've never heard it? I mean, I've heard of sifty, but not in terms of being a pest. Right. But you've heard people being like, oh, Jase, you're so sifty. No. Not specifically aimed at me, Keezy. No, I haven't. All right. That's weird. Hey. You've come in from... What? To work on a Monday after a huge weekend, and I'd describe you as sifty. No. Well, no. I just... Come on, man. I'm hungover. He's looking terrible.

21:10He's hitting on everyone's misses.

21:12Keyzie:Nah. Jase? I've never hit on anyone's misses, Pugs-san. Well, that's a lie. 7.30pm on the podcast outro. God, this is a tune. Who's this? Kings of Leon. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hodaki. Yeah, She-Hard there on the Radio Hodaki big show this Tuesday afternoon. The time is 13 minutes past five o 'clock and we've got breaking news.

21:41This is breaking news. This must be huge, Jase, because you've asked for the prime spot just after five o 'clock. Breaking news. I'm excited.

21:51Keyzie:I would say, fellas, you know, I've been doing radio a long time. And this is probably the most massive announcement I've ever made in my career. Wow. And I think it's fair to say, and I think you fellas can all acknowledge, I've given up a lot. What do you mean? In terms of, you know, like the durries. The vape, oh. No, I still vape. Yeah, yeah, no. Can you just support me here, please, pugs, instead of being prickly? No, I'm listening. Booze. Booze. Having a go at yourself? Not so much. But, you know, the kind of things that bring joy to a person, like your durries, like your beersies, all the fun stuff.

22:32Keyzie:But I think what I'm about to say is the biggest commitment I've ever made in my life, and I'm anxious, nervous, excited, but I'm going to do it. And I want you guys to back me up here because I can't do it without your support. You want New Zealand to back you up too. I want New Zealand to back me up. Because you're going to need them to get through this, whatever this is. Yes. Do you want me to reload the Breaking News sting? Okay, you do it. For effects, yeah? All right, here we go.

23:01Keyzie:This is Breaking News. Fellas, and indeed New Zealand, I hereby commit to giving up chips.

23:17Keyzie:What, like potato chips? Yeah, chips, Keezy. You know what I'm like with chips, fellas. You bring a bag of chips in here and I'm two fisting the bastards. Well, first of all, usually it's you bringing in the chips. And when you say bringing, it's stealing from the ACC. You know what I'm like, fellas, when I steal some chips, I'm two fisting the bastards. Sometimes, I don't know if you've ever noticed this, sometimes I've cracked them open, I'm eating them before I even get in the damn studio. No, no, we've noticed. And you've never seen me in my home. No, we've never been invited to see you in your home.

23:49I'd like to. So hang on, what kind of chips do you mean? Like all potato chips? Yeah, potato chips. So like what about some fries? Yeah. Oven chips?

23:58Keyzie:No, no, not your hot chips. Right, okay, so it's cold. Cold chips. Does hot chips include wedges? In your packets. Wait, wait, wait. So when I say cold chips, we mean room temperature chips. You know what I mean? Not refrigerated chips. It's like room temperature chips, so yeah, stuff you'd find on the supermarket shelf. What about like your frozen chips? No, I'm not giving those up either. No, because that'd be a loophole because then you could just freeze them and then eat them. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. Okay, so just because there's a lot of chips, right? So it's been a really big decision for me, fellas.

24:29Keyzie:What about like munchos? Well, a muncho isn't really a chip. Oh, right, so you're still allowed munchos. I can eat munchos, yeah. Hang on. Cheetos? So that means you're allowed cheese balls then. Oh, a cheese ball's not a chip. Well, hang on. I mean, it's a soft, cheesy kind of ball. It's not a chip. What do you mean it's soft? You're obviously eating stale cheese. It's crunchy. I mean, it's crunchy, but it's not a chip. It's not a potato chip. It's a cheesy, delicious, tasty ball. So you're still going to be chowing down, shoveling cheese balls down your gullet? Well, obviously. Right. Okay. So, okay.

25:02I said chips, fellas.

25:03Keyzie:So you're only, okay. What about Pringles? I hate Pringles anyway, so that's no worries. Man, that's a chip. Papa Jack's. No, that's not a chip either. You said potato chips. That's a puffed wheat. You said potato chips, so you'll eat kumata chips? I'm not an animal, Pugsan. What about cassava crisps? Oh, yeah. You love cassava crisps? Again, it's more of your puff sort of scenario. So if there were cassava crisps, I'd eat them. Right, okay. What about rice cakes? Yeah, it's because they're rice, they're not potato. So you can have rice cakes. What about pretzels? No, I'm not into pretzels. Right.

25:40Nuts? What? It's a question. I'm not going to... No, are you allowed to eat nuts?

25:45Keyzie:If you're going to say something about putting these nuts in your mouth... Jase, how dare you? Nice, you dodged that one. Popcorn? I hate popcorn. What about ligma?

25:59Keyzie:What about vaping? Nah, man, that's staying for the time being. What about Bofa? Pardon? Bofa, he's nuts. Oh, got him. Got him in the end. The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki. The cult there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday afternoon. The time, 5.27. Fellas, I need to call a show meeting. Really? Yeah. For real, Ian? No, seriously, I need to call a show meeting. Show meeting. Show meeting! Show meeting! Show me the meeting! Show meeting is now in progress. Now, this particular show meeting is about the current show, the current big show, if you know what I mean.

26:42Are you picking up what I'm putting down? The big show that's on air right now. Mm-hmm. Do you hear what I'm saying? Yeah. Now, a little while ago, the big show, the team, won a voucher to go to a restaurant that's just by the studio here. We won't name it because we're big on Reburger and that's it. We won$250 worth of food from a restaurant nearby. It's been bloody ages. We haven't done anything with it. Every time we've suggested we go do something, someone's busy or blah, blah, blah. I'm suggesting tomorrow we go out for lunch, the three of us, and also Big Dilly and Studio B. Because it's$250 and we could all split that.

27:20What do you reckon?

27:21Keyzie:So you're suggesting that we spend the$250 voucher that we won. The Big Show won, yeah. Yeah. Without Mogey. Is that what you're – I just want to clarify. Hang on. No, because obviously Mogey's not here. I just want to clarify that's what you're specifically saying? I need you to understand, Jase. the reason I'm saying this is because without Mogi here, he's so busy. He's like, oh, I'm so busy. I've got Mogi stuff today. I've got to go get my laptop out and work. So he probably wouldn't have been able to make it anyway. You've got to think of it like that. Pugs, surely you see where I'm coming from, right?

27:58$250. That's a good lunch for us four. What are we going to say, though, when Mogi inevitably gets back on Monday? He won't remember.

28:10Keyzie:Unless someone tells him. So you're saying that you want the four of us minus Mogi. Well, not the four of us, yeah, because Mogi's not here. Yes. Yes. Big Dilly included. Yes. That's a person, by the way. And to go and use up said voucher. Yeah. Eat all the food, don't let Mogi, and not let Mogi know about it. Well, it's the thing. It's not like, oh, we're hot. You know, it's just we just organise a lunch tomorrow. We go there. We eat it all up. We don't tell Mogi he's too busy anyway. And as long as no one tells him, what's the worst that can happen? You're banking on him not remembering. He definitely won't remember.

28:52He's a busy guy. He's always got work on and stuff happening.

28:55Keyzie:So you're wanting to punish Mogi for being so busy and you want to shove maybe, I don't know, more fries and stuff down your gob and take advantage of the situation. and the fact that Mogi's working his arse off, right, and you just want to take advantage of that and just pretend like it didn't happen and just keep it away from Mogi. Yeah, well, yes, I'm proposing. Remember, this is just a discussion, you know, and it's important to always have ideas. You know, I'm coming to the table with ideas, and, I mean, it would only work, obviously, if neither of you told on me. Or Dilly in Studio B. Dilly, no, he's sweet.

29:39He won't, but Jase. Pugs. Jase. Keezy.

29:44Keyzie:Could you clip this off and send it to Mogey, please? No, don't clip this off. Dilly, Studio B. No. Dilly, can you clip this off and just send it straight to Mogey? No, just joking, classic big show gag. Just clip that bit about it being a gag off, please, Dilly. Yeah, just chop that last bit out. Yeah, thank you. And just the guts of what we were saying there. Thanks, Dilly. I'm disgusted, Keezy. That's the end of the show meeting. I mean, we're a team. The show meeting's done. That's all good. We're a team, man. All right, sweet. Guys, is there like ads or anything we could go to here? Just sit in that guilt for a moment, man.

30:18Just own it, Keezy. Just feel it, man. Hey, actually, coming up soon, another chance to get the draw to go to Fiji with us, fella. No, don't change the subject. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki. The Big Show Swingers Club is back, and this time it's going global.

30:40Keyzie:For. That'll be kesey on the golf course. For. Will my voice break as well like that? Probably. Because you say it so often. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I do. That means if you don't know much about golf, that means that I've had a really bad shot. Okay, it's Jay saying I'm bad at golf. Oh. G'day, Matt, you mad bastard. How's life? Yeah, good, mate. Good on you, mate. Hey, where are you calling from, Matt? Oh, I come from just out of Hamilton. Oh, yeah. Nice. Where about specifically, man? Tamahiri. Oh, yeah. Beautiful part of the world there, man. What street do you live on? Oh, I can't give you that. What do you do for a crust, Matt?

31:29Keyzie:I'm actually a drug dealer, mate. Oh, Bagbo. How good. Should we just sign him up now, fellas? Yeah, I think we could probably off air, obviously. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a good idea. And you like a bit of golf, do you, Matt? Yeah, I do, do, yeah. How often do you get out there? Once or twice a week. Oh, yeah, that's good, mate. That's very good. What sort of handicap you're running? Roughly about you. I think I'm on about a 26. Yeah, that's exactly where I'm at, actually. Good stuff, Matt. All right. Well, you stay on the line, my friend, and old Big Dilly will look after you in Studio B.

32:05Keyzie:G'day, Butch, you mad bastard. Oh, g'day, fellas. How are you? Yeah, good, thanks, mate. Thanks, man. Hey, Butch, quick question, man. What do you do for a crust? Mate, I keep the lights on. I'm a Sparky. Oh, backbone. It's real backbone stuff. Yeah, good stuff, mate. Yeah, I don't deal any drugs. Hey, Butch, if you were lucky enough to win this amazing prize, who would you take with you? I'd have to take my partner and cry, mate. Yeah. The old missus. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The old missus. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Not the new one. Not the new one, the old one. The old one, yeah. Better safe than sorry. It's a bit of a dilemma, isn't it?

32:45Keyzie:Which missus to take? Well, no, I just mean, you know, if you win a golf, you know, a trip like this, and you're married or, you know, you've got a partner, you've kind of got to take your partner, really, don't you? Yeah. You've got to, Jase. You've got to take it. Yeah, because, I mean, it's going to be hell to pay if you don't do that when you come back. Yeah. All you were telling us last week, Jason, it's all about the sick sand and what else was it? Oh, honestly. Yeah, Jason, what were you saying, man? He's spoken so much bullshit since then. There's no way that we can remember at all. Butch, quick question, man.

33:21You got a passport, man? I've got a passport. Yeah, good. Yeah, beautiful. Because that's one thing I've been forgetting to ask people, like you can actually go overseas, you know? Ah, yeah, that's quite a good question.

33:30Keyzie:Well, people aren't der brains, Kesey. You don't want to get to the airport and go, oh, shit. Yeah. That's actually been known to happen in this very station. Yeah, 100 % it has. Butch, good luck, mate. You're officially in the draw, right? Thanks, guys. Good on you, mate. Of course, we're talking about going to Fiji and staying at the Intercontinental Golf Resort and Spa. Big thanks to Fiji Airways and also Tourism Fiji because I don't know if you guys know this, but Fiji is where happiness comes naturally and the golf resort and spa is where white sand beaches meet world-class hospitality. So there's a lot going on there.

34:04We're going to be in the thick of it, going snorkeling, having massages, playing golf, drinking cocktails. One thing that we haven't really mentioned too much about is we're going to do a show from there. Are we? Yeah. I think we do one in the hotel room. Who organized that?

34:19Keyzie:Why have to organize? Don't you know I'm on holiday when I'm doing that? I'm not doing a show. Who came up with that idea? Was that you, Keezy? No, I swear it wasn't me, man. Was that you, Keezy? It was Mogi. He came up with it. Now let's use that chicken voucher and go have lunch with Arca. Clip that off, will you, Dilly? No, don't send that to Mogi. Here's Queensland Stone. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. Guns. Roses there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday evening. The time, 5.53. Jase, it's not the size of your deck that counts. It's what you do with it, man.

34:58Keyzie:Absolutely. And luckily, Trade Tested are there to help transform your average deck into one with confidence. This Friday is going to be our final giveaway of the$2 ,500 worth of Trade Tested products to kit out your deck. We've given away three so far. It's been epic. If you're keen to get your deck kitted out with two and a half grand worth of stuff, head to hodaki.co.nz. Get yourself in the drawer there. That's all thanks to Trade Tested, who specialise in making your deck great. Nice. And now I've done that, just on the text machine here on 3483, quite a few people are texting in accusing me of being a turncoat.

35:31Yes. Someone's trying to start hashtag justice for Mogi. Yes. And this is on the back of me suggesting that we should go and use our$250 voucher that we've got for the restaurant just down the road here while he's away. Yes. Just because it's hard to get him, you know, because he's so busy. Oh, that's why you can't lock him down. Yeah, and it's more just like if we go and do it, then he doesn't have to worry about it. It's actually better for him, you know. But I've changed my mind. You're right. It's a team voucher. We should use it as a team. All four of us. I wouldn't mind Dilly coming as well.

36:02He's helped us out a lot. He's in Studio B right now. We all go together because we earned that as a team

36:06Keyzie:and we should use it as a team. Yeah, but can I just make a point just on Dilly? He wasn't part of the team then, so I don't want him to come. No, he's been helping us out a lot, Jase. He's producing your show right now, mate, in Studio B. Can we can Dilly? Actually, Dilly, feel free to upload those videos of Jase secretly eating chips after he's here. Yeah, yeah. I'll help you out, man. So, well, what? Because it's$250. That's a lot. We all eat it together. A team lunch. It almost feels like it should be two meals if it's$250. Yeah, you're right, actually. You know what I mean? Well, yeah. That's$125 a pop.

36:39$30 each. You get a burger and chips for that and a drink. Yeah, yeah. And then we go do that twice. Yeah, exactly. That would be great for the team.

36:45Keyzie:Works out actually perfectly financially. Perfect. Are you free next week? I've used my portion of the voucher already. I went out and grabbed some when I was in the process of moving. I needed to go get some dinner and I was like, I better get takeaway so I want to use dishes because I was packing up my dishes and stuff. Can I call a show meeting? Right now? No, I want to call a show meeting. And yeah, I need to come clean about that. I use my portion so I divvied it up by four, which is obviously the big show fellas and me as producer and I've taken my portion and I've used it on your own. But the rest of the voucher's there, obviously, for you guys.

37:25Keyzie:Were you aware at any stage, Keezy, of us divvying it up? No, I thought we were doing a team lunch. Same. I thought it was all a, if we were going to do it, we did it together as a team. I don't recall any discussion about divvying it up. Well, you would really. Sorry, you'd get the equal amount, wouldn't you, Jase? that won that and I don't recall chat about divvying up. Are you saying you wanted more than an equal portion? No. Because that's all I used. Jase is saying he wants to eat it all together as a big family man. I feel like the big show is really, you know, there's cracks are appearing.

37:59Like Pugs is off buying burgers on his own, you know what I mean?

38:01Keyzie:Yeah, totally. Jase is turning coat on Mogey. Everything's just all up in the air at the moment. I'm turning coat on Mogey. Yeah, but whoa, did you say that? Pugs, can you clip what he just said there off and send it to Mogey, please? No. Look, this will require further discussion and another point, but I'm disgusted in you, Pugs. Coming up after 6 o 'clock, by the way, the results of the Big Show Big Poll. Oh, yeah, and also I've got another show meeting. No, you're not.

38:29The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

38:36Keyzie:You're welcome back, you're massive backbones. Hope you're surviving a Tuesday evening. You're listening to The Big Show brought to you by Ray Burger. Beef, chicken, vegan and veggie options. Reburger, redefining the norm. Oh, yum. Oh, this is so good because it's Reburger. Yeah. Just on Reburger, right? Now, before we had Reburger on board, we had a different sponsor. Great sponsor. They were great. We love Reburger, obviously. However, the former sponsor gave us some vouchers. Remember that? Oh, here we go. The former sponsor gave us some vouchers, right? Yes. Did you hear about what Pugs used his voucher for?

39:14No. Pugs? What? What did you use your voucher for at the weekend? I think you're going to tell him anyway, so you might as well. Well, you made it straight from the horse's mouth, man. I went to a function on the weekend and I... The buzzy party. We'll hear more about that later. The burlesque-themed party. And I bought some tobacco-themed product. They were just themed, though. He bought darts using a former sponsor's voucher. Is that okay? Oh, my God. Is that okay? No, that's not okay, man. Let me say this. If that were true, then I wouldn't be able to use the voucher because it said no tobacco products on the back of it.

39:55Ah, okay. Yeah. So, I mean, if that did happen, then that's not my fault. Are you sure? That's somebody else's fault. I could picture a scenario where you do the whole, ah, do you know who I am? I'm on the radio. Yeah, you picture that. You better process this right now, otherwise you will lose your livelihood. There'll be hell to pay. I filmed a video in here once.

40:15Keyzie:I just have a picture of Pugsan having a durry in his Madonna sort of outfit at the buzzy party. The burlesque party. Listen to the podcast outro tonight, by the way, to understand what we're talking about. About the buzzy party. The burlesque party, yeah. Yeah, hard out. Hey, now coming up, the results of the Big Show Big Poll. That's right. The question was, are you allowed to say that your mate's partner is attractive? Yes or no, feel free to have your thoughts on 3483. Every text in the drawer for a$50 Reburger voucher. Quick predictions? 70 % no, it's not okay. 60 % yes. Nice. The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.

40:53Keyzie:Yes, indeed, Led Zeppelin there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Tuesday evening. The time is 12 minutes past six o 'clock, which means... Oh, just before that, new video out now on the Horeki Big Show Insta. So that's what that means. But also what? It's time for the Big Pole? Yes. The Big Pole.

41:20Today's Big Pole was hot off an interesting discussion we had on the podcast outro out at 7.30 tonight titled Pugs' Buzzy Party. Nope. And basically, Hoity J commented that Pugs' partner was attractive. Pugs bristled at that. I think it might be the jealous side of him. He got his gander up. His gander was up. No. And basically, Pugs, you felt uncomfortable about it. You thought she might feel uncomfortable about it. Well, no, I just think there's a certain point where I'd be concerned about her comfort. Yes, right. Okay. And basically, the question was, can you say a mate of yours' partner is beautiful, yes or no?

41:59Well, that's not what we... Calling your mate's partner attractive, yes or no? I thought you were more awkward about the fact

42:08Keyzie:that we were chatting about you going to a buzzy party. No, I wasn't worried about that. Oh, he was okay. Because it wasn't a buzzy party, it was a release party, so I was perfectly fine with it. Because you know when I say that your partner's attractive, I mean, I don't know why that would be spooky. No, it was more the air and the nature in which you were saying those comments and the mayo that you put on it and the mustard that you put on it. You put mayo and mustard on it. If you're putting both mayo and mustard on it, there's room for discomfort. And those don't go together, man. Yes, they do.

42:40Okay, well, so we've got the poll up on the Haruki Big Show's Instagram story. I predicted 70 % of people would say, no, you can't do that. Jase, you said 60 % of people would say, yes, you can call your mate's partner attractive. Pugs, what's the result there? The result with 62 % calling your mate's partner attractive? Yes. Oh, wow. Jase, you were spot on. Yes. Had you checked it? And I didn't cheat. On my life, I didn't cheat. Right, okay, I believe you. Okay. There's nothing wrong with calling someone's partner attractive if you know that your relationship with that person is chill with that, you know?

43:15Totally. Which hours totally is. Yeah, yeah. Jase, do you want to say anything? No, I just got a sifty look. Like, I'm just concerned.

43:25Keyzie:He's made me concerned now. Right. That his partner, who is hot, is, you know, somehow thinking I'm sifty or something, Keezy. Well, we wouldn't want her to get the wrong idea. I think even if she did know that you were being sifty, she wouldn't be too worried, to be honest. Yeah, well, there you go. And I've said Keezy's wife is very, very, very, very attractive. You're adding an extra very every time you do it. Okay, how about this, Pugs? All right, just so Jase has a clear line in the sand. Sure. I've written down some descriptive words here. You just tell me which ones are okay. Yeah, yeah, sweet.

43:59Okay. Your partner is attractive. Yeah, sweet. Okay. Your partner is pretty. Yeah, absolutely. That's lovely. Your partner is pretty ugly. Absolutely not. I won't be having that. Okay, once again, this is purely. Not in here. Not in anywhere, Jase. Look at me. Don't. What about your partner is striking? She is striking So that's okay? Yeah, that's true Your partner's beautiful? Yeah Gorgeous Sexy AF Oh yeah Hot Hot ass What about What? What? What did you say? I said hot ass What did you think I said? Jeez You're out of control Get a load of this freak

44:41Keyzie:What about She's got a great personality?

44:47Well that's fine isn't it? She does Oh she does Yeah She absolutely does. I don't disagree with you. Yeah, yeah. Okay, so we've got a line in the sand. What about smoking, babe? I'm okay with it. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kesey. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

The Radio Hauraki and Emerson's, right? Yes. The Radio Hauraki and Emerson's, they've paired up together, those two guys, and they've made a beer to celebrate the festival.

I also like sucking on a chilli dog. Or responsibly steamed as well, or just responsibly. Yeah, or just responsible. a bull so you can say I've had a few responsibles. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah, I don't like that one. Oh, okay. No, yeah, I can go to F myself as well. Can I just say that's a stupid one? You're a stupid one. Can I just say you're actually mistaken? Yeah. Lots of great ones coming through on 3483. Yellow wheeze.

46:34Great. Do you want it to be called yellow wheeze, Jase?

46:37Keyzie:My wheeze are quite yellow at the moment, but I think that's my urinary tract. How's it going, by the way? It's a bit Sort of I'm just doing a lot of Yellow whee's No stinging or No no stinging Oh that's good The hazy big load Yeah No Big show barley legal Oh I don't know about that one It's probably a bit dodgy Yeah no Big show buzzy juice Some real sifty J stuff there Backbone bitter Wizard of schnoz Pale ale Southern steamer Midnight steamer Lots of great ones coming through at hodaki.co.nz. 48:16Keyzie:Well, there you go, you mad bastards. That's the big show done and dusted for your Tuesday night. Now, in the podcast outro today, I don't think I've ever seen Pugsang get his gander up like he did today. What does that mean? It means your heckles were raised. Do you know what that means? No. It means your sail was all out of whip. That's not a thing, Keezy. It means you. Neither were the things you said. Have you never heard of those phrases? Nobody has. What, your pickles were doing what? Since the 20s. What? I said got his gander up. You've never heard that. Well, that's a gander, so a group of geese.

48:57So, Pugs, did you get your geese all up, did you? I feel like Jase got his gander up in that podcast, if you know what I mean.

49:02Keyzie:And can I just, and this is a true story, and I've never seen it before, after we finished the podcast, immediately after, Pugs-on went straight into Studio B and started freaking out with Big Dilly because he was worried about the content of the podcast. He started doctoring. It's weird that you said true story because Dilly literally said, can you come in here and listen to the clip that we're going to play today on the outro? Right, okay. So you weren't doctoring the finished product, so it hasn't been changed in any way shape? No, I'm going to do that later after the show. Really? I feel like the people need to know about Pugs' buzzy party.

49:37It's not a buzzy party, man. It was a burlesque themed shindig.

49:41Keyzie:Call it what you will, Pugs Island. That's right, I'm calling it what it was. It was a buzzy party. Well, here's a clip. I'm actually interested to hear today's clip of the podcast outro, actually. Out at 7.30 tonight. I'm not finishing that. Well, no, just Jase. He's just joking around. Jase, you're being a sicko, man. I'm just joking around. What do you mean, man? He's still looking at photos of me and my partner on my phone. I'm just saying. A nude boudoir photo. We want to hear, man. He's a sicko. Nah, it's all G, man. No, Jase, can you promise not to be weird about it? Can you promise not to be a sick fuck about it, man?

50:12She's wearing a corset. Right. Yeah, and then some other stuff. It was great. See, what was wrong with that? That was just you talking about going through my phone and finding inappropriate photos of me and my partner.

50:26Keyzie:No, I didn't say that. Which can I say? Sifty behaviour. Can I say, emphatically, I never said you and your partner. I said you and other people. 100 % true story. Hang on, hang on. You know what's funny is you were being sifty because you were sifting through his phone. Yeah. I was. That's literal. And being creepy. Meaning. Meaning. Sure. Meaning of sifty, not anything else. Now listen, check out the podcast because it's a doozy. Check out the Instagram because I've got a feeling that old Pugsan's putting something out that makes me look bad again. New video out right now at Horiki Big Show.

51:05Check it out. Yeah. And until tomorrow, have a great night and we'll see you later.

51:10Keyzie:Bye.
