In short

Live broadcast of The Hauraki Big Show from Chasing the Fox at the Royal Auckland and Grange golf course in South Auckland, featuring golf banter, Christmas party talk, TV/streaming “What’s on the telly,” and the Friday Throbber (end-of-year song voting). They also discuss the Throbber leaderboard, an asterisk controversy, and plans for a post-break get-together in Mangafai.

No separate guests appear; the episode is hosted by Jason Hoyte, Mike Minogue, and Kesey (Keezy/Hoody J/Mogi are their nicknames used throughout).

Guest backgrounds (hosts)

Radio Hauraki presenters and long-running Big Show team; Kesey is known for music taste and a long Throbber drought; Jason and Mike are regular co-hosts.

Key claims

Keezy’s last Throbber win was 12 weeks earlier (19 Sept 2025). Mogey wins the end-of-year Throbber with The Doobie Brothers “Long Train Running.” The show ends with a 15-all tie in wins, complicated by “asterisks” affecting points.

Notable examples

Mogey’s hole-in-one on a par three; John Key’s earlier hole-in-one; Ryan Fox’s two PGA wins; Michael Campbell sighting; golf lunch described as high-end (40k membership, 300 per round) and a garlic bread eaten with knife/fork.

0:00Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show. Thanks to crave-worthy street food. Freshly made with Reburger.

0:07Keyzie:Don't fight it. It's time to co-opize. This is the biggest, the biggest, the biggest, this is the biggest, our biggest show. The Hauraki Big Show. With Jason Hoyte, Mike Minogue and Keyzie. Oh, g'day you mad boss. It's great to have your company on this glorious Friday afternoon, the 12th of December 2025. And you, my friends, as always, listen to the big show live at Chasing the Fox in beautiful South Auckland. The show brought to you, of course, by Reburger.

0:35Mike Minogue:That's right, Jase. Crave-worthy street food freshly made by Reburger.

0:41Keyzie:Yeah, great stuff. Mogi, my God, you're looking hot, you stallion, you stud. How's life? Oh, I'm going great, Gunsy, you mad dog, you sick son of a bee. An absolute joy to be here at Chasing the Fox and a joy to be here with you, Hoody Jisbot, and of course you, Kesey.

0:56Mike Minogue:Oh, thanks, old Moogie. I'm stoked to be here as well. She's bloody windy at Chasing the Fox. We had this beautiful spot overlooking the whole green. It's so windy, we've had to move behind it. We're on a little pink picnic table. We've got a few cold beers, and I'm excited for a big afternoon, fellas.

1:11Keyzie:Yeah, so am I. We've got a beautiful view of the Portaloos at the moment. It's great stuff. And Keezy and Moogie, they've dressed up for the occasion too. I feel like I've let the team down a little bit. Hey, but listen, we have a massive, massive show ahead. including our performance earlier in the morning fellas but let's get into the tune shall we? 100 % Hoity J. Should we start things with some black keys? I think so.

1:35Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show.

1:37Keyzie:Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki. Yes indeed. Queens of the Stone Age there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show. This beautiful if not blustery Friday afternoon fellas. We're broadcasting live from Chase the Fox and I tell you what mate But, mates, what an absolute treat it's been playing this gorgeous golf course today. Absolutely. I mean, I don't know what to call this event. Jase, you've variously referred to it as the Chasing the Fox. You've also referred to it as Chase the Fox. Yeah. I'm pretty sure it's Chasing the Fox. Yeah. But whatever it is, it is a magnificent event. We've been out here since about 10 a.m.

2:18We've got the opportunity to go around the six holes that everybody else is going to be doing, which will be live televised on TVNZ. Jeez, didn't we have a time?

2:27Mike Minogue:We did have a time, Mogi, and of course, Hoity J and I, we are golf hackers. We play every week. We absolutely love the sport. I'm intrigued to find out from you because we played three ball, Ambrose. We were a team of three. It was great. We've never really done a team sport like that together other than a relay race. How did you enjoy a very, very, very difficult and very expensive golf course? Well, I thoroughly enjoy it. and obviously I didn't go as well as I went over in Fiji. I went fairly well over there, and today was an absolute disaster. I probably used three shots of mine all day. But I thoroughly enjoy it, and what I love about it actually is the hang.

3:03It's not so much the golf, it's the hang, the wandering around, having a yarn involved. Oh, the vine involved. Oh, yeah, totally. So, yeah, I had a great time, and I'll be doing more of it.

3:12Keyzie:Oh, look, I would have had a much better time if not for the fact that old Mogi was using all my really nice special cachet of golf balls. I've got a little secret pocket that Mogi seemed to discover early on and then proceeded to smack all my top-quality Pro V1 balls into the bush or into the water or into the deep rough. Yeah, and that's the thing, Josh. You're saying they're top-quality balls. Well, every single one of them was shit-ass. I couldn't get them three centimetres off the ground or any of them to go straight in any way, shape or form. But, yeah, but true to your form, Jase, as I'm picking each one of these, God knows, $20,$30 balls out of your bag and losing every single one of them one after the other, you didn't say a word, mate.

3:58Nah. He'll be letting me hear it. He'll be letting his wife know about it later tonight.

4:02Keyzie:I was fuming. Unfortunately, Kesey pulled me up on it because I had absolutely no idea. I'm just going in the bag looking for the one that looks the worst because I know I'm probably going to lose it. And, yeah, sure enough, they're worth a goddamn fortune.

4:14Mike Minogue:Well, it was very funny because playing golf with Jase all the time, I know he loves sniffing around for golf balls. He'll find them. He'll put them in his bag. He's also very good at hitting it straight. So he never loses a ball. And I'm just like, he gets given heaps of golf balls. He finds heaps. So many balls in that bag. I know he's purchased heaps as well, and I've never seen him lose one. I know he's just got a mountain of balls at home. But still seeing Mo. But my favorite part was Mo. He'd just be like, hoody, J, can I have another ball, man? And then Jase would be like, hand you one.

4:43Mike Minogue:and then you would just put it straight in the water. I was absolutely loving it. Well, my thinking was because we were gifted a goodie bag on arrival and in that bag there was a three-pack of balls. I didn't get that either. Did you not? No. But I thought to myself, well, there'll be a pallet of those balls around somewhere and I'm sure one ball's as good as another. So I was just going to grab, you know, 25 of those for your hoodie, Joe. But none of them would be as special as the ones I've lost today. So my deepest apologies. No, it's all good, mate.

5:09Keyzie:It is an absolute pleasure being here and it's an absolute pleasure playing on a course this gorgeous.

5:14Mike Minogue:Do you know what else is a pleasure, man?

5:15Keyzie:What's that, man?

5:16Mike Minogue:Pearl Jam. Yeah. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy.

5:21Keyzie:Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki. Jeff Leppard there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this blustery Friday afternoon live from Chasing the Fox here in beautiful South Auckland. Now, we've had a great morning playing golf. We had a lovely lunch as well, didn't we, fellas? Very, very nice. which we absolutely hoed into, I can assure you of that. But this day is also coupling as our sort of staff end-of-year party, isn't it?

5:47Mike Minogue:Well, it is, Jase. One of the sort of, I guess it's all your good stuff happening at one time. Are you Steam Keezy? No, not yet. OK, just checking. But basically the NZME, which is the company that owns our station and various other things. The NZME, yeah. The NZME Christmas party is happening right now. Yeah, where is that? That is in town at A... I didn't even click on the invite or read anything about it because I knew I'd be here doing the show, which is, we're very lucky. It's great. But afterwards, I am planning on sort of ingesting as much food and... Oh, yeah.

6:18Keyzie:Food and inverted commas there, Kees. And diet, lemonades.

6:21Mike Minogue:Yes. And then heading to wherever they are. So I'm not going to be in a very sort of watching the golf kind of mood. I'm going to be in a bit more of a Christmas party mood if that's all good.

6:32Keyzie:Yeah, and I understand too, Maggie, you're pretty keen on this party as well, aren't you, mate? You're fizzing. Oh, absolutely frothing. Any time I get an opportunity to socialise, to network, to drink with strangers, and just engage in some inane chat for a period of four, five, six hours, I'm frothing at the bung, brother. I've got to be honest with you, I like nothing more than fraternising with people, making small talk for four or five hours, drinking zero beers. and sort of making links all over the place. Oh, okay, you're that guy that works for that? Oh, that's tremendous stuff.

7:11Mike Minogue:Yeah, and it's interesting because we've got a new intern staying today. I think his name's Sam. Yes, I think it is. And he was asking me a few things. Oh, what do you think I should do? I was like, it's all about who you know and it's about networking. I was like, if you want to know anything about networking, Hoity J's the guy to talk to. Yes, totally. He knows everyone. He knows everyone's names. He knows what they do. And everyone owes him a favour or two.

7:28Keyzie:That's right. You don't get to where I am in my career without being a magnificent networker. You know, and this is great advice for anyone out there, you know, aspiring actors or want to, you know, in any business that you're involved with, you've got to make contact with people. You've got to make connections. You've got to fraternize. You've got to get yourself out there. Otherwise, you're never going to succeed.

7:50Mike Minogue:Look at this, Mikey, for example. What's this guy's name right here? What is it, James or something? Yeah, it's Pugs. Oh, Pugs, is it? Yeah, see, that's networking. He knows everyone. Yeah, yeah. God, you're an icon, Jase.

8:02Keyzie:Yeah, thanks, fellas. Yeah, so I'm absolutely, I'm really fizzing just to get the show done and get out there. Obviously, this golf is going to be amazing. It hasn't quite taken off just yet, teeing off at 5.20, I believe. From the first hole, yeah. From the first hole.

8:15Mike Minogue:By the time it comes through the money spot where we are, it'll be well after 7. I think it's closer to 8, 9 o 'clock.

8:20Keyzie:Jeez, it's pretty late. Hey, also, if anyone out there is listening at the moment, and text us if you're having your Christmas due today as well. I'd love to know what you're getting up to, eh, fellas?

8:30Mike Minogue:So you think they're on their Christmas due right now listening to the Big Show? Oh, I've got no doubt about it. Well, 3483, every text in the drawer for a$50 Reburger voucher. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

8:46Keyzie:Soundgarden there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Friday afternoon, live from Chasing the Fox out in beautiful South Auckland. It's a hell of a day today. We've got so much on. Chasing the fox being the other one, but a huge day as well because we've got the throbber. Yes. The throbber today, Jase, if you win it, it's an opportunity for you to draw even with me. I'm one ahead of you. You've got a few asterisks to your name, but it's still a huge, huge day for you in terms of the throbber. You've never won it before. But it's also a very, very big day for Kesey. As we know, Kesey has been going through one of the biggest droughts in the history of the throbber.

9:23It's been shocking. It's been appalling. We've felt for Kesey every day. And if you remember early on in the Throbber, Jase, when Kesey didn't win it, we'd have to ring up his wife because we were so worried about him. He'd get in such a whore of a move.

9:38Keyzie:He was furious. And it was every week we sort of had to deal with that. But such is a losing streak that Kesey is on at the moment. He's not even bothered by it. He's come to expect it. Well, you know, I think I've got to be honest with you, Mogie. he's given up you know when you're completely and utterly defeated you just reach a point of he's like this on the golf course actually you guys know I'm here right he's like I just don't care anymore this means nothing to me

10:09Mike Minogue:if I could just speak on this particular matter you know what it is, I won last year and so genuinely that quenched I admittedly had a deep thirst to win the throbber I love my music. I think I've got a good taste in music. Now that I have won this year, and also I'm trying not to repeat songs as much, and I think I should just say, oh, stuff it, let's go back to the old well and play some good tunes.

10:33Keyzie:So you decided rather than go back to the well and play good tunes, you'd just play shitters?

10:38Mike Minogue:100 % Jase, it seems like it. Well, today marks, and I've got Pugs to go back into the archives, and it took them a good few days of solidly looking. Today marks a 12-week anniversary since Keezy's had a win. Are you kidding me? 12 weeks? Keezy has been on a 12-week losing streak. 12! His last win was on the 19th of September. My God. In 2025. The theme was Jace's Holiday. And I'll tell you the song he won with. Willie Nelson on the road again. Absolute shitter. and since then it has been cricket that is a shocker I must admit I don't like what I said before about not caring as much since winning is 100 % true I did not realise I was on a three month losing streak holy shit

11:33Keyzie:yeah no that is terrible that is terrible of course that'll be coming up after five o 'clock as always and we'll need your votes New Zealand

11:40Mike Minogue:the theme for today by the way is just massive tunes for the end of the year just big ones that'll get people up on their feet dancing. That'll be happening after five, as you mentioned. And holy shit, if I don't get another win. And that is a terrible dry spell.

11:52Keyzie:The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey. The Cure there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this blustery Friday afternoon. But right now it's time for... What's on the telly with Mike Minogue.

12:13Mike Minogue:Yeah. Ah, Jase. Ah, Jase. Ah, Jase joined in. Come on, man. Ah. Yes.

12:24Fellas, I'll be honest with you, I went home last night and I just sat outside with my wife on our back deck there, watched the Tuohys dive bombing, anything that sort of came near them in terms of other wildlife. Very, very territorial bastards they are. Tuohys? Tuohys. Yes. They are mad bastards.

12:43Mike Minogue:I think the collective noun for twoies is, or the plural is twoie. Yeah, I know. Makes no sense. No. So, in fact, I don't watch anything at all outside of, obviously, the cricket, which we're probably going to wrap up in a future break, I'd imagine. We'll talk through the cricket and where it's gotten to today. Just a question on what's on tally with Mike Minogue. Yes. Do you think it's worth maybe before we do the break, we have a little brainstorm, we get to get... Has anyone watched anything? Well, I did. I did say that to Jase, and he said no. And I said, neither did I. And I said to Jase, well, hopefully Keezy's got something or we're buggered.

13:17Right, OK. You were in the portal. I was in the portal for the third time since we've started the show.

13:24Keyzie:Just on that, in terms of what's on the TV with Mike Minogue, I was in a very similar situation to you there, Moggy. It seems to be the time of the year, really, where you talk about your future, you talk about what you want to achieve in the next year. I actually didn't do any of that. I had a two-hour lovemaking session. Oh, wow. Two hours? Yeah, two hours, man. Did you know the average lovemaking is four minutes? Is that right? Four minutes. And I was shocked when I heard that. Really?

13:59Mike Minogue:Shocked. Well, four minutes to me seems, and no offence to anyone listening, that seems like a long time. But, I mean, it's not too much longer than that, is it? Well, it's two hours in my case. No, I'm not talking about you and your amazing lovemaking session. And that was with your wife the whole time? No. I watched last night another home renovation show. Yes. I was hoping you were going to say that. Oh, God. How good. Seriously, guys, I hate the fact that we get home, my wife and I, we went and had a picnic. It was lovely. Yes. It was a lovely evening, had a picnic, came home, she had a shower, and then it was like, right, I just want to have a cup of tea.

14:40Mike Minogue:I was like, do you want to watch that funny sitcom we're watching? Nah, it's a bit too full on for me. I just want to chill. It's like, oh, okay, do you want to watch this cool doco on there? Nah, honestly, it's just something super chill. And I was like, well, how about we just watch Grand Designs Aussie? Oh, there's nothing better. And she was like, oh, okay. We started watching. It was about a house sort of like on the coast, but kind of in the outback, like really not in the outback, but very hot, arid, a lot of sand, and they had to design a house that would be good with heaps of sand blowing through.

15:12Mike Minogue:Yeah. It was boring. We got halfway through it and then she was, I'm tired, I'm going to bed. Yeah, good. I give that, to be honest, Grand Science Australia, I don't like, it's probably my least favourite of the lot. I give it 2.6 buzzies out of 5. Good on you, mate. Yeah, okay.

15:26Keyzie:I'll give my lovemaking 4.8 buzzies. Right. That's the highest rating you've ever given. Yeah, yeah. I don't know what it was. I was just in form, fellas.

15:37Mike Minogue:It's good for you, Jase. Nice to finally have a win, man. Do you like She Hard? I do. Yeah, I don't mind them. All right, well, check out this song.

15:44Keyzie:The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey. Alison Chains here on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this Friday afternoon, live from Chasing the Fox. And here it is, New Zealand, the final, the final throbber of the year after 5 o 'clock. Mogi on top at the moment. Hoody J with just the faintest glimmer of a chance for a moral victory, perhaps. So make sure you stay tuned because there's plenty more. Well, come on, Keezy. We've talked about this. Yeah, no, I'm getting my ass. It'd be a shame if the drought continued, too. Yeah, wouldn't it? That would be the longest losing run in Big Show history.

16:23Mike Minogue:The issue is now the audience will want that to happen, and they're not going to vote for me. This is what you guys, it's your fault. It is not my choice in songs. That is the issue. It's your fault. You know what I think?

16:33Keyzie:I think Mogi should have an asterisk. I think 100 % that's coming up after 5 o 'clock,

16:39Mike Minogue:plus so much more top-quality content. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

16:51Keyzie:It's the Hauraki Big Show's Friday Throbber. Yes, indeed, it is. Live from Chasing the Fox in beautiful South Auckland,

17:03Mike Minogue:That's right. We are cheers to Heineken Silver, of course. World-class low-carb lager. We are broadcasting from the Heineken Silver Clubhouse. It is a beautiful afternoon. We're overlooking the final hole of action here, fellas. There's only one thing missing, and that's a giant throbber.

17:16Keyzie:Yeah, I think so. You enjoying your Heineken Silvers there, fellas?

17:20Mike Minogue:100%, man. I had a few of them, responsibly, obviously. Yeah, obviously, responsibly, Keezy. And they are absolutely delicious. Can I just say, Keezy, and I hate to interrupt you there, brother. I'm sorry about that, but it is a world-class lager, isn't it? Well, I'm sick of sort of like, oh, this is New Zealand class. Oh, this is Auckland class. Like, screw all that stuff, man. I want world-class stuff. Well, you've got it, mate. Right here, right now. Do we have a world-class thromber today, fellas? I think we do. I think we do. It's an exciting one. Hoity J obviously can't win. Mogi's been dominating all year.

17:51But he's won back. Keezy, on the other hand, is on a 12-week losing streak. Anything can happen. Anything can happen.

17:59Mike Minogue:What's happening here is we're turning... which you guys have taken the narrative away from the fact that Jase is on 14 and Mike, you're on 15. Yeah. And it is, you know, he could tie you. This could be huge. Instead, it's everyone talking about how I'm on a 12-week losing streak.

18:13Keyzie:Yeah, I'm really comfortable with that narrative too, actually, Keezy. I was shocked when I heard that news. Were you?

18:20Mike Minogue:To be honest, I wasn't, unfortunately. But today's theme is just big tunes to end the year, right? Big throbbers, get everyone on their feet, having a good time. Jase, would you like to go first, man? What song have you got? Yeah, sure, man. This is a song I picked a while ago.

18:39Keyzie:It's just a summer song, man. It's a feel-good song, fellas. Bit of Doobie Brothers. Oh.

18:58Mike Minogue:Is this? long train running. That is a tune, man. Ah, tune. Doobie Brothers, man. Righto. I must say, Jase, I must... Yeah, righto. That's enough of the old Doobie Brothers there. Tune! Not as... Because Jase, a little peek behind the curtain, he said, fellas, we're playing golf. Let's just say my song has something to do with a swing. Yeah. And I was worried he's going to pick Savage Hip Swing again for the fourth time. Look, guys, I'll go next. As you said, it's been a tough 12 weeks for me. I've decided to just go for a song that whenever we do a live show, I intentionally put on, and it always gets people up on their feet.

19:39Mike Minogue:It is Pennywise Brohim.

19:56Keyzie:You mean gets people up to go and throw up in the bushes? Jase, come on, man.

20:00Mike Minogue:I didn't personally attack the Doobie Brothers. I said it's a great song.

20:03Keyzie:Well, I mean, if it was a great song, I wouldn't attack it. I asked Keezy what he was going to play, and he said he went for a prodigy number, so a little bit of subterfuge by Kesey as well today. Myself, it's the end of the year. I'm going with the song that's gotten me three titles previously, the first three years of The Throbber, when I was purely going either Rage Against the Machine or Metallica. Yeah. Today I'm going Rage Against the Machine. Fair enough.

20:31You've got to check this out, Jase. Have you ever checked this out, man? Sounds good, man.

20:44Mike Minogue:Nice, Rage Against the Machine, Know Your Enemy there, another classic from old Mogey. You decide, New Zealand, who gets the win. Give us a call right now on 0800 Hodaki. The first person to two votes gets their song played and Falling gets another point on the scoreboard. In the meantime, Faith No More. Oh, Faith No More. This is a good song, man. It's fat. The Hodaki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

21:14Keyzie:It's the Hauraki Big Show's Friday Throbber. Douche douche. Oh, damn it.

21:22Mike Minogue:Just me, eh? I was thinking that and then you put your hand out. Yeah, I thought you were going to say something.

21:27Keyzie:What? I don't know what you thought about. You threw me completely there, Keezy. Yeah, right. It is the final one of the year to decide the champion for the year as well, so she's a biggie. Old Hoody J just went for a good feel-good summer vibe.

21:54Mike Minogue:Doobie Brothers, long train running. That's good eating. It is a classic, and I must say, The Doobie Brothers are good at a nice acoustic guitar opening. Yes. Listen to the music, another good track as well. So Hoody J, the Doobie Brothers, Long Train Running. I went for a tune that I'm no longer confident with, but I'm going to play it anyway because it is a tune, Pennywise Broham Tribute. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.

22:27Keyzie:Whoa, whoa. That's the sort of song, can I say, that maybe you like at 2 o 'clock in the morning when you've just been on the hammer the whole time. Or maybe you're 16. Yes, guys. I used to absolutely love that song.

22:41Mike Minogue:Guys, what is with just going in on my songs? No wonder I've got a drought going.

22:45Keyzie:Actually, if you win, I think that's an asterisk for Mogey.

22:49Mike Minogue:What do you mean for having to go at my song? Yeah, totally, man. I swear to God, man. And I've gone with Rage. Ah. What's this song? Is it new? It's brand new, man. It's called Know Your Enemy.

23:06Mike Minogue:And it throbs hard.

23:11Mike Minogue:Yes, Rage Against the Machine, Know Your Enemy, for the 17th time on the Friday Throbber. Of course, it's not up to us, though. It is up to the listeners. Should we go to the phones?

23:20Keyzie:Yeah, let's go to the phone lines. G'day, caller. Who are we speaking to here?

23:25Mike Minogue:Hello, caller. Is that me? Yeah, mate. Who's this, mate?

23:30Keyzie:Hayden from Christchurch, Jay. Oh, Hayden, you mad bastard. You mad bastard. All right, Hayden, what are you running with? Oh, we're going to go with Key. Yeah. I get it, innit? No.

23:43Mike Minogue:If there's one person I can rely on to break my dry spell, it's Hayden in Christchurch. Lead spread down there, isn't it? Good on you, mate.

23:49Keyzie:Good stuff. Let's go to the phone lines again. Who are we speaking to? Hello, listener.

23:56Mike Minogue:Is that me? Hello, listener. Hello. Yeah, I think that's you. Who's this?

23:59Keyzie:Who are we speaking to?

24:00Mike Minogue:It's Joe. It's Joe.

24:02Keyzie:Joe. Oh, g'day, Joe. What are you running with there, Joe? I'm going with you, Woody. I'm going with Serby Brothers. Yeah, good on you, Joe. Good on you, Joe. I had a feeling Joe was going to do that. She gets it, man. She gets it. Yeah, she gets it. Good on you, Joe. Let's go to the phone lines. Who are we speaking to? Oh, g'day. Is that me? It's me. Speaking of Jordan. No, I'm getting Jordan, you mad bastard. How's your Friday going? Oh, not too bad. Thanks. How about yourself? Yeah, good. Thanks, mate. Pretty good live at the golf course here. What are you running with, Jordan?

24:32Mike Minogue:Oh, they're all such new songs, aren't they? It's hard to decide. I don't want to hear a Kesey song again. Yeah. Let's go with Jase. What? That's a good one. Oh, so he said he doesn't want to hear your song. Oh, mate, Jordan. So go with Horty J there and he's had a victory. Yeah, great.

24:49Keyzie:Oh, that's a bugger, Keezy. I thought he'd gone for you there. 13 weeks. Just 13 weeks. I'm lucky for some.

24:56Mike Minogue:Well, look, I tell you what. The real winners are the New Zealanders who, around New Zealand, turn up your radios. It's the Doobie Brothers. Yeah, man. Long train running. Great tune. Far out. This is an absolute thromber. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy.

25:16Keyzie:Yes, indeed, the Doobie Brothers. rounding off the Throbber for 2025.

25:22Mike Minogue:That's right. If you've just joined us, Hoody J has won the Throbber, bringing the Throbber scores to a very, very interesting conclusion. Yes. We all know Keezy has only won seven Throbbers this year with two asterisks, one for playing Freebird when it wasn't relevant and the other one for bullying Mogi. Before heading into today, Mogi was out in front on 15 wins. Jace was second on 14 wins with three asterisks for coercing a listener, playing a Pantera song with 1 ,000 F-bombs and picking deftones constantly.

25:56Keyzie:Oh, no, that third one's not.

25:58Mike Minogue:That was a cross. Oh, okay, oh, okay. Oh, cool. Okay, we'll just disregard it because it's not convenient for me, Jace. No, but we said last week that's not legit. Yeah, that one got slid in there by somebody. I don't know who put that into the document, but it was not a unanimous asterisk. The situation is, for the first time ever, This is Jace's last week. He's not here next week. We are now drawn at 15 all in the throbber, but Jace does have two asterisks. Yeah, totally. And for the last four and a half years, we've said a thing about, oh, if you have asterisks, you get points docked or whatever.

26:31Mike Minogue:Yes. But I've sort of only half-heartedly been thinking that. But now we actually come to a situation where we are drawn, but Jace has asterisks. He does, yes. What does it mean?

26:39Keyzie:From my point of view, I think that actually, you know, An asterisk is a black mark. It is. It's not a full point deduction. Yes. I was thinking like a third of a point, for example. Yeah, sure. So with that in mind, that's two-third point deduction from Hoity J. So I actually ended up with 14 and a third votes. Yeah.

27:04Mike Minogue:That's so confusing. Yeah. I mean, it certainly doesn't give you extra, does it? And it doesn't mean nothing, hence the reason why we had Lynn there. If it was me, I'd be, as you, Jase, honourable in the fact that they have been applied to your name. The fact that I've also been the only one to go a clean sheet the whole year while both of you have got asterisks attached to your... How is that? What do you mean? How do we always get away with never getting an asterisk? Anytime we try and get asterisk, he argues with it, so we just give up. There has never been even the slightest accusation against me.

27:35Not a black mark against my name, and that is evidence there. At the end scores, 2025 with a throbber. So thank you, Chase, for being honourable and not creating a massive argument about it. Also, that said, we're still here next week, Keezy. So I'm not even sure why we're not doing another throbber next week, when every week we do a throbber, regardless of whether there's one person missing or not. So to my mind, there's still another one next week. But however, unless you get an incredible nine points next week, Keezy, for your throbber, it feels like the end has been decided. Yes, I think so.

28:09Mike Minogue:Can I just say, I don't think an asterisk should be worth a third of a point. Okay. I think an asterisk should just be, if you are tied like we are, 15 or Jason Mike, Mike wins. I don't think it should be a value attached to the asterisk. The reason I say this is I don't want to be on six and one third wins for the proper. I'm on seven wins, and that's bad enough? Yeah. Yes. With two asterisks. Yeah, good on you, mate. All right. Well, well done, Moggy. Thanks, mate. Congratulations, Mogey. Yeah, man. Let's shake hands.

28:41Keyzie:Well played, fellas. Well done, fellas. Well played. Nice work. Happy days. You know, I'm stoked that I even got close to Mogey, to be honest. So, you know, oh, Prebonator's just turned up.

28:53Mike Minogue:God, what a stallion he is. Absolute stallion, yeah. So you're stoked to be close to Mogey?

28:57Keyzie:Yeah, well, you know, he's the reigning champion. I know you're the reigning champion. He's the reigning champion. Did you bring the trophy with your kesey?

29:05Mike Minogue:Yep, sure did. Is it in the car? Yeah, yeah, it's in the car, man. So I'll go grab that for mogi shortly. Thanks, mate. And in the meantime, fellas, I'll tell you what throbs harder than anything else. Red hot jelly peppers. Oh, my God. Oh, my God. Here we go. Yes. Turn it up, New Zealand. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike, and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

29:26Keyzie:Foo Fighters there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show, live from chasing the fox in beautiful South Auckland. And, fellas, you know, I've got to be honest with you. I'm feeling a bit sort of down at the moment. Why is that, man? Well, just that this is going to be my final show of the year, and I won't get to see the fellas for a little while. I'm going to go away on my Christmas break there, and I don't know, I just feel a bit sort of sad about that. I mean, I'm away for a fair old while too, fellas. I don't want to go into it too much.

29:59Mike Minogue:Why, you've got a massive grin on your face.

30:01Keyzie:It's just, you know, I'm just like, oh, I'm going to miss the fellas. Easy fix, man. Just come in next week as you're contracted to do. Come in, meet your commitments, see it out, and not only that, do the breakfast show on the last day, which we have to do because we lost the golf to the breakfast boys. That's right. And have to do a double shift on the last day of the year, which you've somehow managed to weasel your way out of.

30:25Mike Minogue:Well, look, and this is the thing, Jase, and we have a lot of fun here on the big show. Oh, don't we? We do. Yeah, we sure do. We mess around. Yeah. I'm not messing around when I say this. When I say that you have to come in and help us with breakfast next Friday. The reason being, we, and for anyone that's just joined, doesn't know what's going on, Hoody J did some incorrect maths. Turns out he's got a week of leave up his sleeve that he did not use, and so he has to use it next week. Me and Moggy and Pugs will be here next week. However, Friday the 19th, final show of the year, we lost a bet.

31:00Mike Minogue:We now have to cover the breakfast show and do our show. I did not want to accept the bet. Mogi was like, we've got to do it, fellas. You know, let's go all in, Jase. You then switched from my side because you were like, no, let's not do it. Once we were live on air, you changed into, yes, Keezy, come on, Keezy, we have to do it. We then lost, and now you are not going to help us with it.

31:23Keyzie:I was so inspired by what you said that day, Mogi, that I did change my view on it. It's like, if you don't give it a go, then what kind of man are you? Absolutely. You know, I'd rather die on the golf course, you know, giving it my best than to walk away with my head hung in shame. I think the problem we've got, Kesey, here, and it's something that we've known about Hoity J since day one, this is not a man who pays his debts. Oh, yeah. Be it borrowing money for food or borrowing money for, yeah, I mean, you name it, you know, pretending to give money to charities, all these sorts of things. I mean, his behaviour is low.

32:02So I think it's almost like the fault lies with us for expecting anything else.

32:07Mike Minogue:Yeah, no, you're right. And, like, if I could, just for the listeners, and you're dead right, in Game of Thrones terms, right, Ned Stark, played by Sean Bean, honourable, pays his debts. What happens to him pretty early doors? Yeah, head's gone. His head's gone. Whereas the sort of conniving little finger, you know, the conniving, you know, taking money, not paying debt. Jase is more like that bald eunuch. Oh, Varus, the spider. Jase is a bald eunuch. Still got a massive fatos, though, Jase. Just you're a eunuch. Oh, yeah. I'm a eunuch with a massive fatos. But you must feel some sort of obligation.

32:47Mike Minogue:You made me accept the bet. You were part of the reason we lost. Fellas, fellas. And now you're not going to come in and help. Fellas.

32:53Keyzie:Can I tell you exactly what happened when they insisted that I take that week off, that I had to take it off? I said, hey, I've got to do the breakfast show next Friday, and there's no way in the world I'm leaving the fellas. I am coming in to do that show, and they said, you come in and do that show, Hoody J, fill your boots, just don't expect a job next year.

33:16Mike Minogue:So they said, sorry, so they said fill your boots, because that's a very Hoody J saying. That's the kind of thing that you would pretend they said if you were making up a conversation.

33:25Keyzie:And I said, oh, well, you know, what a bind this is. All right, fellas, I'll go away on holiday. And we'll just forget about the breakfast thing, and the fellas will just have to cop it.

33:38Mike Minogue:Oh, God. Mogi, what's your view on this? Well, I mean, I guess it all becomes even because next year, come the 12th or 13th of January, whatever it might be, Hoity J has to do a broadcast without us for the Black Clash in front of millions and millions of people. Yeah, what, commentating the black clad? He's doing that anyway. Jase, do you feel any guilt whatsoever? No. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey.

34:07Keyzie:The Cranberries there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this Friday afternoon, live from Chasing the Fox in beautiful South Auckland. Now, fellas, in all seriousness, we were chatting in the previous break there about the fact that I'm not going to be here next Friday to do the breakfast show with you. And I do feel a touch of guilt about that. And with that in mind, I'd like to invite all of you fellas and your partners for the last week, well, the last weekend before we all come back, up to Mangafai. At my mother-in-law's house there. She's going to be away. And I thought we could get on it with all our partners there.

34:46Keyzie:And Pugsang can come and do what he does. Plenty of accommodation. There's a beautiful golf course there, Kesey. We could have a swing on the Saturday, have a beautiful hoity-jay cooked meal on the Saturday night, a few cold beverages. What do you say, fellas? What dates are we looking at here? Oh, this would be like the 12th of Jan or something like that. Let me just have a look here. The 12th of Jan.

35:08Mike Minogue:Let me just have a look here at my calendar, because what I know Jase is very good at is waiting until he knows we've probably got stuff on. Well, that's exactly what this feels like, and I feel like the 12th of Jan is probably pretty heavy. Oh, the 10th of jam. Oh, the 10th of jam. Yeah, I was at the 10th visit.

35:22Keyzie:But I thought, no, but listen, seriously though, fellas, there's plenty of accommodation there. You guys should, you know, Mogey can bring meat. I'm free. Your wife... Lock it in. Your wife, Keezy, can make some desserts, some cakes and things. You could be in charge of salads. You bring a few beersies and stuff like that. Jase, Jase. And just... I can't tell if you're taking the piss or not. I'm not taking the piss.

35:47Mike Minogue:It'll be a great fun weekend. So let me get this straight. You're inviting us to your mum's house before you've invited us to your house.

35:53Keyzie:My mother-in-law's house. She's not going to be there, by the way. That's a shame. So we can really cut loose. I understand she's got a beautiful selection of lingerie. She does. Well, the last time I went through her drawers, she did. But, you know, it'll be a bit of... James, seriously, are you taking the piss? It'll be a great way for us all to get together before we come back for that final... Before we crack in. Before we crack in. And what a great opportunity to do some brainstorming for the year ahead. Oh, look, I love nothing more than a brainstorm. Fellas, beautiful surf there. Beautiful up in Mangafi.

36:27Keyzie:You don't have to keep listening, stuff. We could go to the famous Mangafi tavern there. I think there might even be a gig on. Jeez, it'll be great. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, I'm absolutely in, 100%. I'm free. Yeah. Great stuff. Are you serious, Jase? I just got to clear it with her. Oh, my God. and let's do this, man. This is what we're talking about. I'll tell you what I'm going to do. I'm going to lock it in while you guys are doing the show next week. I'll give you a call and let you know how we're getting on.

36:57Mike Minogue:Listen, Jase, you already tried to get us to one of your in-laws' batches before. That didn't go very well. It was double booked.

37:03Keyzie:I'm still, still filthy about that.

37:06Mike Minogue:But what you're doing here is you're letting us down by intentionally missing breakfast, even though it is partially your fault that we are doing it. and to make up for it, you're offering us someone else's batch that you are hoping will fall through. Well, it's her home, actually. It's not a batch. It's a beautiful place. Where's she?

37:20Keyzie:She's going to be down Gizzy Way, I think. Right, okay. But I know you're hoping this will fall through. Oh, no, I'm fizzing for it. As I say, I've just got to clear it with her, and then I'll get back to you. I just want it to feel you out.

37:35Mike Minogue:Yeah, okay, we're in. We're in. Yeah, yeah. I'm thoroughly looking forward to it, mate. Lock it in, mate. If not, can we just come and do dinner at your house?

37:42Keyzie:Jase? Yeah, possibly, but Keezy? Just clear it with your missus, would you?

37:48Mike Minogue:Yeah, just clear it with my wife. God, here's Blur. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy. Guns.

37:59Keyzie:Roses there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this Friday afternoon. Live from the Heineken Silver Clubhouse, Chasing the Fox in beautiful South Auckland.

38:08Mike Minogue:That's right. We're in an amazing spot. If you watch Chasing the Fox on telly, which will be on TVNZ shortly, I believe, on the 18th hole, or not the 18th, I guess it's the 6th hole because I only play 6th, but the final hole, just as all the celebs and stars are teeing off behind them is the Heineken Silver Clubhouse. There is a little window there. You will be able to see the three of us sitting there watching the game. Absolutely. It's bloody exciting stuff here. She's filling up, fellas. She is. She's absolutely filling up. It's a hell of a day out here. If you get an opportunity down the line, make sure you get along to it.

38:39This place is just going to get, I think this event is just going to get bigger and bigger and bigger.

38:43Mike Minogue:Well, it's a fantastic event to be a part of. And I think a couple of things, Mo, again, we mentioned earlier in the show, have really helped make this a big event. One was John Key getting a hole-in-one. Yes. A few years back now. And the other one is the fact that Ryan Fox has just had an incredible couple of years.

38:59Keyzie:Yeah, two PGA wins this year. It's pretty phenomenal.

39:02Mike Minogue:And so it's turned this from being quite a cool exhibition match into a huge golf day where people come to see a genuine PGA winner play.

39:11Keyzie:Yeah, and just on that front, of course, I saw Michael Campbell today. What a treat. He was our man for a long time there. Won a Masters, didn't he? He did. He certainly did.

39:21Mike Minogue:We were in the clubhouse having a coffee, and old Cambo walked past there. Really cool. He still looks in great nick as well.

39:27Keyzie:On that front, actually, I should tell you that a lot of players that are playing in the televised event are absolutely shitting themselves. They are. Bryce Casey, for example, from The Rock.

39:36Mike Minogue:Yeah, well, if it was from Hauraki, he wouldn't be. Fellas, but look, more on Chasing the Fox. Chasing the Pox. That's a funny name for an event. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kesey. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

39:53Keyzie:You're welcome back, you massive bag bones. Hope your Friday's absolutely going off. You're listening to The Big Show, live from Chasing the Fox out in South Auckland in the Heineken Silver Clubhouse.

40:04Mike Minogue:That's right, Jase. We're out here at Chasing the Fox, which is brought to you by Manuka Fuel. Royal Auckland and Grange is the name of the golf course. Yes. So if you watch the event on telly tonight, it's a beautiful golf course. It's the kind of place that is far too good for the likes of us, Jase. I'm far more comfortable in our home course, which is Waitakere. Deep in the hills, low greens. This place is designed to punish you. Wherever you think you might hit a shot, the safe option, they have put a bunker there. It is filled with sand and it is very difficult. Well, we did have one episode today, didn't we, where all three of us hit our balls into the same tree.

40:43The tree was, to be fair to the tree, it wasn't even really in the way. No, it was not. It required a slice from each of us. Three horrendous shots, no lost balls, just a bit of shame.

40:54Mike Minogue:Yeah, the weird thing about that was we had to play my ball, but only because my ball hit the tree and rolled into the fairway. That's right. Whereas yours two hit the tree a different way and rolled sort of out of bounds further. So it was an absolute shambles. It was a hell of a shot from you, Keith.

41:08Keyzie:Yeah, it was an absolute shambles. But I tell you what's not going to be a shambles is the next hour.

41:13Mike Minogue:Yeah.

41:14Keyzie:Hey, fellas, it's not going to be a shambles, is it? The final show of the year for old Hoardy J.

41:20Mike Minogue:No way, man. I don't care that this is the Christmas party as well, and I've had a few very responsible Heineken Silver world-class low-carb lagers. Yes. I'll tell you what else is in a shambles. That's bloody Green Day.

41:31Keyzie:Well.

41:32Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey.

41:36Keyzie:Joy Division there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show live from Chasing the Fox at the Heineken Silver Clubhouse.

41:43Mike Minogue:So good, fellas. We've had a brilliant day so far, haven't we? Yeah, we have. We've played six fantastic holes on a beautiful golf course, of course, here at the Heineken Silver Clubhouse. where we've got ice-cold Heineken Silver world-class low-carb lagers.

41:56Keyzie:And if you're just joining the show, by the way, absolute sensation here on the course on a par three. The second par three we played, old Mogey, a hole-in-one. Oh, my God. It just sent the crowd that was with us absolutely berserk. But I tell you another great thing. Well, just let me go. I should be able to speak to that. Actually, you should. No, let's move on. Obviously, it's my first hole-in-one. I haven't played a lot of golf in my life. And I got up there, and the mistake that I've been making up until that point is I've been using Keezy's clubs. Keezy's taller than me by an inch or two.

42:33He's got a couple of inches on me. And the kind of technique I use, the stance that I get myself into, I'm sort of hunched over. I round my back. I bend at the ankles, the knees, and the waist. Yes. And so by the time I'm ready to, you know, attack the ball, as it were, I'm sort of bent over like Gollum. Yes. And so it occurred to me, well, why am I using... The hunchback of Notre Dame. Thank you. Why am I using Keezy's clubs when I should be using Hoody Jizzbox?

43:02Mike Minogue:Well, yeah, because you were using my club. And I was like, wow, because you sort of, you lined up. And I was like, wow, Mogi's sort of just standing really relaxed in a nice straight up and down position. And I was like, that's not how he hits the ball. No, that's not how I do it. So I got a club off Jace there. I got the four iron on a par three, which you fellas were saying that's too big a club. Yes, too heavy, mate. But not the way I hit it. Yes. And I just sort of swung through the club as I always do, and I just sort of blacked out. And when I came to, I was being carried on the shoulders of the gallery.

43:35That's right. Because it was a huge gallery, a crowd following us around all day. And everybody weirdly was cheering, Keezy, Keezy, just out of habit.

43:44Mike Minogue:Well, because what happened was it started as Mogey, and then everyone just sort of fell into Keezy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

43:50Keyzie:Well, I've got a couple of inches on you too, Mogey, which people won't be surprised to know, but it was an utterly magnificent shot. Yes. It was a little hill, a little crest, if you will, and Mogey just hit it straight as an arrow onto the crest. Very fast greens here at the Royal Grange, and it just rolled down. And we were like, you are, you are, you are, you are.

44:15Mike Minogue:Yeah, that's right. And because we could see, but Jase has got a couple of inches on me as well. He could see over the crest and he saw it go in and he was the first one to go up and sort of alert everyone. It was amazing, man. Goosebumps. Yeah, no, it was pretty special. And we've been awarded a prize because, of course, this was sort of a corporate event, wasn't it? It was earlier in the day. There was 38 teams that went around earlier in the day there. And we took that out by three strokes. Yes. Took the whole competition out. It was extraordinary.

44:45Keyzie:And we shouldn't really mention this because they're not part of our sponsorship. Mogi won a car because on that particular hole, a hole in one, there was a car. What was that? It was a red aqua.

44:57Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kesey. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

45:04Keyzie:Cold War Kids there on the Radio Hauraki. Big Show Live from Chasing the Fox at the Heineken Silver Clubhouse. And, fellas, I've got to be honest with you. I was a little bit concerned about today because last night my wife and I indulged in Uber Eats. And we got a couple of Thai curries, fellas, one of which was fiercely hot. Fiercely.

45:29Mike Minogue:Oh, DJ, you mad bastard.

45:32Keyzie:Fiercely hot. and I was concerned that it was going to come and have repercussions on me as I wandered the course today. Fortunately, I got it out early, so that didn't happen. But I tell you what, as well as this being a great golf course, the spread today for lunch, how about it? Absolutely unbelievable. It was a weird situation because let me say this is probably one of the most exclusive clubs on the face of the planet. No expense has been spared. I understand that membership's about$40 ,000 a year. just to get around as$300, the bathrooms and changing rooms were out of this world. So you go in there, you just go and sit down, and they just bring you food.

46:12Yes. There is no menu. There is no buffet. They wouldn't stoop to such a thing. They just bring you out all of this food. And so they brought out, first of all, a potato salad. Yes. Two bowls of. Yes. Coleslaw, two bowls of. Yes. They brought out a green salad, two bowls of. And then a couple of massive platters of meat.

46:35Mike Minogue:Yeah. Amazing meat, too. Like, we're talking brisket. Yeah, a bit of brisket. Ribs. Chicken feet. No, what are they? No, drumsticks. Drumsticks. Chicken feet. Come on, Keezy. Chicken legs, man. Some cornbread. There was garlic bread. There's a lot of delicious, delicious stuff there. But one thing that really shocked me, fellas.

46:55Keyzie:Corn on the cob.

46:56Mike Minogue:Corn on the cob. One thing that really shocked me, and it was really telling. It was a real insight into the life that, obviously, Hoidi J does lead. Hoidi J ate his garlic bread with a knife and fork. Yes. And we're talking about a piece of garlic bread like you might take off a, I don't know, like if you get a pizza. A baguette. Yeah, baguette style. If you've got a cheap pizza and you've got a garlic bread on the side, one of those pieces, and you grabbed it with a fork and then you ate it with a knife and fork with your pinkies in the air. And I've never witnessed someone eat a garlic bread like that.

47:25Keyzie:No.

47:25Mike Minogue:I was blown away.

47:26Keyzie:Well, can I tell you why I do that, fellas? because you were obviously not paying full attention. I would cut off a little cube of the garlic bread, a little bit of potato salad, a little bit of the rib, a little bit of coleslaw, and eat it that way. That's why I eat my garlic bread with a knife and fork. Otherwise, I'd be like, you know, the low-lives that eat it with their fingers.

47:49Mike Minogue:I love eating it with my fingers, man. It is amazing, though, because this is a real glimpse into the upper-class world of golf. And to be honest, it's a side of golf I'm not comfortable in. No. I'm very much at home at my course where, if you want food, it's a sausage roll that's been in the warmer since 6am and it's very crusty. It's one of the places, the few places I'll say, where when I walked through the doors, I was 100 % confident that nobody would know who we were. There is not one Hauraki Big Show listener that is a member of this club. Yeah, 100%.

48:26Keyzie:I felt so at home. And it's just my kind of vibe. People bringing me food, dressed immaculately, beautiful decor. And just on that, seriously, the toilets in this place and the shower facilities. I'm not joking. It's like a five-star hotel. It's unbelievable.

48:49Mike Minogue:Yeah. And you keep going back to the toilets and spending a lot of time in there. What's that about?

48:52Keyzie:Well, just because, you know, as I say, I had a fairly hot duck curry the night before, Kesey. Oh, God. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Casey. David Bowie there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show live from the Heineken Silver Club Rooms. It's Chasing the Fox in South Auckland.

49:10Mike Minogue:That's right. If you're wondering what that is when you're watching Chasing the Fox on TVNZ tonight, keep an eye out. The final hole where all the pressure is on and you're seeing everyone teeing off and hopefully shanking it into the audience will be behind them. A giant Heineken Silver facade has been erected. There will be a small window. So in that window will be the Hodaki team having an absolutely excellent time. Fellas, I've got an idea. And it's something that has come about, I think, out of necessity. And to be honest, I can't believe we haven't thought of it before. Yes. We need an official snack sponsor for the show.

49:45Mike Minogue:Right. Now, we have Reburger. Yes. We love Reburger, but Reburger's not a snack. Reburger is a full-blown meal. It is a delicious, gourmet, crave-worthy street food freshly made. What has happened, though, is, especially for Hoity J, your diet has now changed, and you now require a full bag of chips every day at approximately 4.30 p.m. I do, yes. And that's as a result of every day stealing chips from the ACC. It is now part of your metabolism, and your body is used to it. We need an official snack sponsor, whether it's Chippies or whether it's pretzels or something like that. No, I hate pretzels.

50:21Mike Minogue:Okay, well, whoever it might be, they come on board, they say, here's the deal, every single day, or maybe they send a month's worth of snacks at the beginning of every month. We get a bag a day. Yeah, that's not a good idea. That's not a good idea? Well, it's not a good idea to be given a month's worth up front. Yeah. Because we know what's going to happen. Right, so. So if we're going to get that, it needs to be under lock and key. Right, or it either has to be in a safe vault, which maybe only Pugs has the key for. Yes. or maybe even Pugs isn't trustworthy enough. Maybe like a Prebs, someone like that, who we know won't give us the key under any circumstances, or they courier us a bag of chips every day at 4 p.m.

51:01Keyzie:Can I just make the point too, fellas? I've got to apologise for being a bit moody this last week. What's been going on is, of course, the ACC have been commentating the cricket, and the room that they commentate the cricket in is where the chips are. Oh, you mean the ACC studio? The ACC studio. And so I've been unable to steal the chips this week, and it's really got deep inside my goat. And then I'm concerned because next week, Jase, you're not going to be on at all, and as the sole thief of chips for the Horeki Big Show, we're now in a position where Kese and I have promised Lane that we wouldn't steal any chips, while at the same time we do eat any chips that do come our way from your thieving.

51:46Yes. So we benefit from your crimes, but next week we're not going to be able to do it. Accessories. We're accessories after the fact. Yes.

51:52Mike Minogue:Would you be willing, Jase, to obviously come in on Friday and do the breakfast show, but outside of that, would you be willing to come in every day at 4.30, steal two packets of chips, you take one home, and then you drop one in the studio for us? Would you be willing to do that? No. Oh.

52:06Keyzie:But I think that's a great idea, Kese. You're right. I can't believe we've never thought of that. And I can't believe the people that listen to this show haven't thought of that. No.

52:16Mike Minogue:Yeah. So we are after an official snack sponsor. Once again, Reburger, delicious. It is a meal. It is not a snack. We need a chippy or something sponsor. If you're interested, get in touch. MeetPattyNips69 at gmail.com. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Casey.

52:41Keyzie:Well, there you go, you mad bastards. That's the end of the show and what a show it's been in one of the more unusual locations and sites that we've been on in our careers, fellas, but I've loved every minute of it.

52:54Mike Minogue:That's right. The Hodaki Big Show today broadcast from Manuka Field, chasing the fox. We are at the Heineken Silver Clubhouse enjoying ice-cold Heineken Silvers. It's been bloody amazing, and I'm looking forward to spending a few hours watching the golf from our amazing spot, fellas. I'm absolutely fizzing for it, mate. It's just starting to get exciting around here. It's getting to the business end, I'm sure. It must be about at the televised point. and I'm not sure what time they flick it on the old TV, but I'm assuming 7pm. We should have. Yes, of course. It's the last hole. A little bit of chat at 6.30 or so, but, yeah, she's certainly filling up around here, feels.

53:26Mike Minogue:It really is, and I have to say, Chase, well done on 2025, mate. Thanks, mate. You are now officially on annual leave.

53:33Keyzie:Yes.

53:34Mike Minogue:Good for you, mate. Good for you, and I'm looking forward to seeing you back here next year. All right, rest up. Get some good brainstorming going over the holidays. Yeah, mate. Because we're going to need plenty of ideas, man.

53:43Keyzie:I'll definitely be doing that, fellas. and look, you have a great final week and I'll be thinking of you Friday morning. No, you won't. Don't you worry about it. I'll come back fired up. I'm going to come back frothing. I am going to come back fizzed to the... Gunnels? Gunnels, yeah, that'll do. All right, if you walk in on the first day and sigh,

54:06Mike Minogue:I'm going to be furious.

54:07Keyzie:To you two fellas, it's been a great year. Have a great Christmas. Have a great break. and to all the listeners out there, thanks for being a part of the show. Genuinely, we love you and we love the fact that you listen to the show. It means a lot to us, doesn't it? Yeah, it really does.

54:22Mike Minogue:All right, that's Hoody J signing out. Mogi and myself will be back here next week along with Pug San as well. Fellas, should we tie a knot in this one and enjoy Chasing the Fox and have a few responsibilities? I think so. All right. Bring it on! Bye. The great Radio Horeki boat giveaway is back and this year the legends at Finchaser Boats have gone next level and built an absolute beast. It's a fin chase.
