2:59Keyzie:Did you? Yeah. I don't think so, Keezy. I would have noted that. You must have taken it off before you came into the studio.
3:07Mike Minogue:No. Would that be possible? No, this is not a Hoi DJ boots. I'm ashamed to wear it in the studio situation. I wore it last week. Right. I did because I got a compliment on it. By who? One of the makeup ladies. Oh, yeah. Gave it two halves. An inmate. Yeah. Nice jacket, boy. For the listeners to say, it's just like a denim jacket with white stripes on it.

7:18Mike Minogue:That's what Pugsan does. Taking a steamer. No, it's when you get up.
7:20Keyzie:Chucking a pie in the air fryer. I actually might do that now, fellas. A porcelain sprint? No, no, a pie in the air fryer. Shake a pie in the old air fryer. Yeah, why not? Just don't get those two mixed up. Yeah, true.
7:33Mike Minogue:G'day there, fellas. James here. It's true, though. Have you ever chucked a steamer in the air fryer? No. Because people chuck everything else in there. I reckon it'd be delicious. 9:50Mike Minogue:I've started doing this thing where, and Hoody J, to be honest, man, I've actually given you shit for this before in the past. Yeah. Which is I take a lot of joy now in winding my wife up. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yes. You just started that. Well, I just sort of have cottoned on to the fact that, and maybe it was because yesterday I had been at home, because we were on Breakfast, Yesterday I had been at home for a lot of the day and I'd got sick of my own company. And so when she got home, I just went into full Hoity Jo, Hoity J, annoying my Hoity Jo. Hoity Jo mode? Okay. That would be massively annoying.
10:27Mike Minogue:I turned into this character I've dubbed Hoity Jo, who is just super annoying. And then to the point where she was just like, can you stop being so annoying? So as she was trying to walk to the kitchen, she walked past me and I pretended that I was then magnetically stuck to her and walked at the same pace next to her, stuck to her arm. And just stuff like that. She's like, can you get it? And I accidentally bumped her into the bench as we went past and that hurt. Yeah. And everything I was doing. You were saying you shoulder charged her? Oh, yeah. Well, that wasn't me. It was Hoody Joe. But, yeah, and so I was just, you know, I worry that that's going to become my whole sense of humour.
11:02Mike Minogue:Yeah. You know, Jase? Oh, I mean. Because it's had a terrible effect on your relationship.
11:06Keyzie:Oh, my wife hates me. Especially the downtryous. Yeah.
11:10Mike Minogue:Well I know she loves that part Do you down track like they're in public and stuff? Yes And then when she bends down to pick up her pants You stand on them So she can't pull them up? Yeah yeah
11:19Keyzie:There she is Hello Hello And you do that in public? Yeah all the time man She finds it really cute The old down trail Okay maybe I should try that Absolutely you should That's how you know you get into the sweet spot of a relationship I find Yes The down trow. Oh, yeah. Noogie. Noogie. Do you noogie your wife? All the time, man, yeah. Have you ever... Never mind. Go on. No, you're all cheap. Do it, Keezy. No.
11:53Mike Minogue:You've got to get it out, man. It's nearly 7 o 'clock. No, it's not Keezy. It's Hoody Joe, remember?
11:58Keyzie:Here's the Dandy Warhols.
12:02Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Beat Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
12:08Keyzie:Welcome back, you massive backbones. Hope you're surviving your Thursday morning. You're listening to The Big Show Breakfast, brought to you by Bunnings Trade.
12:18Mike Minogue:Get your insulation jobs sorted with Bunnings Trade. I haven't got any insulation jobs because I've already got them sorted out through Bunnings Trade. Oh, yeah. What were you saying, man? I was just going to say we can't, every time I read one of those, you can't say, oh, I haven't got any. No, it's because I go to Bunnings Trade. Yeah, so that's fine.
12:37Keyzie:Actually, I'm thinking about getting some insulation for my home out west.
12:43Mike Minogue:Right, so after 30 years living there, now you're getting something out that you don't live there, you bullshit.
12:47Keyzie:Apparently because the tenants are saying it's really cold, our house. Well, you have to sign up to Healthy Homes, Jase. Have you done that, man? Because I don't think you have. No. And I'm tempted to actually call the police.
13:01Mike Minogue:Fair enough, man. So the house, your old bungalow, has no insulation at all? Nothing. And you're renting it out? Yes. Well, you've got that pig that lives under the floorboards. Yes.
13:11Keyzie:Which, you know, generates a little bit of heat. Its own heat, yes.
13:14Mike Minogue:Totally. So does the family have to sort of go wherever the pig is?
13:18Keyzie:Pretty much. They actually complained and said the place was really cold, and I said, well, just get nude and cuddle up to the pig under the house. Why do they have to get nude? Well, because that's the best way to generate heat. Yeah. And the pig's nude. Skin-to-skin contact. Exactly, Mogi.
13:38Mike Minogue:If you're keen to win$250, by the way. Oh, yes. Not really. Chase.
13:46Mike Minogue:The Pies That Pay is happening this hour. Yes. At some point, keep an ear out. Get ready to call 0800-HAURAKI when you hear the pirate. And boom,$250 could be yours.
13:54Keyzie:How good, man. Coming up, a bit of state of O chat, fellas. In the meantime, here's Bush.
13:59Mike Minogue:Up the blues, man. The HAURAKI Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hoda.
14:07Keyzie:Bush there on the big show breakfast this Thursday morning. The time is nine minutes past seven o 'clock. Hey, fellas, State of Origin last night. Let's have some State of Origin chat.
14:19Mike Minogue:Is there supposed to be music or something?
14:21Keyzie:A while a sting, maybe? Yeah. Yeah, there you go.
14:26Mike Minogue:State of Origin last night, game three, Suncorp Stadium. Tell you what, close series, full of drama. Yes. New South Wales barely winning that first one. The Maroons absolutely pumping us in the sea. And I say us because I'm a diehard New South Wales supporter. Oh, same. And then we absolutely rolled them last night, fellas. Honestly, two of the greatest hours of my life last night watching that game. And I'm knackered now because of it. Yes. Worth it though, fellas. Oh, totally. Keezy does it because obviously I support the Maroons. Always have. Yeah. I thought we were going to absolutely cane it last night.
14:59There was no doubt in my mind. I don't bet at all, but I contemplated putting the house on Queensland 13-plus last night, but I didn't, and I'm thankful I didn't. I didn't watch the game. For me, it's too late, Keezy. Yeah, yeah. You stayed up and watched it, eh? Yeah, man. Same with me. Talk us through that first half, Keezy.
15:18Mike Minogue:Well, where to begin? Yeah. Where to begin? Let's just start at the start. Well, obviously, you got kickoff. You didn't watch it, did you, man? No, I didn't watch it. Which was deep. It was too late. It's too late for you. It's way too late. And, no, I knew that the boys would get the job done. Oh, did you? Yeah. Well, that's interesting because we had a chat on yesterday's show and you said this. We are a shambles and Laurie Daly has our team running like a shambles. No, that wasn't me. Wow. Sounded like you, Casey. That's a really low thing to say to your coach, man. I mean, he's your coach and you need to follow him to the bitter end.
15:54If at the end of the series it turns out you don't win, as a legend of the game, you say, well, thanks very much for your service once again, Laurie, and we'll see you later, mate. But for you to be over here in New Zealand bagging him, because he also said this.
16:07Mike Minogue:I wish when I was a kid I had chosen Queensland. Yeah. Because I've been to New South Wales like twice. I just chose a side and everyone else was going for Queensland and they kept winning. So I was like, stuffy, I'm going to go for New South Wales. Huge, terrible decision. It is embarrassing. You've got the biggest names, the best names. They're always the favourites. No, I don't remember saying that. What I remember is, Mogi, you saying this. I just cannot see a world in which New South Wales can get up for this. Ah, I remember you saying something off the back of that as well. I am tipping Queensland to win 13 plus at Suncorp.
16:43I mean, I've always been a blues man.
16:47Keyzie:And, you know, all the signs were there that, you know, the form was good. I felt it in my bones that the blues were going to come through.
16:57Mike Minogue:How did you feel about Nathan Cleary's man of the match performance? He was on top of the world, man. Really? Because you said this yesterday. What do you think about our halves pairing?
17:06Keyzie:I'm not stoked about it.
17:07Mike Minogue:Why is that? What would you have done differently?
17:10Keyzie:I would have had different halves. Really? You would have got rid of Nathan Cleary? Yeah, because Nathan hasn't been in great form this season. Hands down the best seven in the comp.
17:23Mike Minogue:Hell of a game. Was that me, was it? But weirdly, the only person here who can hold their head high is me. Of course. And we got pumped by almost 20 points.
17:36Keyzie:It's Kings of Leon. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kesey.
17:41Mike Minogue:Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
17:44Keyzie:Kings of Leon there on the Big Show Breakfast this Thursday morning. The time's 16 minutes past 7 o 'clock. Fellas, I've got a little bit of a, I guess you'd call it a conundrum. A conundrum. You heard about those, Keezy? Yeah. Yeah. Do you know how to spell it?
18:01Mike Minogue:C-O-N-U-N-D-R-U-M. Well done. That's good stuff, Keezy. That's great stuff. So this weekend is Matariki. Tomorrow is a public holiday, fellas. Sadly, we won't be able to do the breakfast show. I'm gutted. Yeah, it's devastating. I'm going away for the weekend with my family there. My missus there and my young daughter. She chose this year not to have a birthday party. Instead, she wanted to go away on a little holiday. So we're doing that and we're going to Taupo. Oh, yeah. Taupo. Now, it just so happens that over the course of the same weekend, one of my oldest friends is having his 50th birthday party.
18:45Oh, sweet. Also in Taupo. Wow. What a coincidence. It is a bit of a coincidence. Now, I guess the question is, because I'm also, this weekend's going to be my first weekend back on the wagon there, Keezy.
18:58Mike Minogue:Okay, whatever. First weekend back on the wagon there. Sure, man, whatever you say. Yeah. And it's a bit of a tricky one because this year I chose to go on the wagon. I managed it for the first four months before we went to Magic Round. Keezy insisted that I get on the hammer. He did. And now I'm just chasing the wagon, and the wagon won't let me back on. We've chosen the year that all of your friends are having their 50th birthdays. Yeah, and me. It's also my year for my 50th, so I could have chosen a better year. But I'm just wondering how I handle it because my vibe is, you know, I could just have a couple of beers.
19:30Yeah. You mean responsibly? Just on your Friday there. I'll stay off the darts. Okay. And then I'll still be all good for all the family sort of stuff, you know, going to the hot pools.
19:44Mike Minogue:Are you trying to convince us right now? Like what's going on here? I'm just running it by you. I've been thinking about, Mogi, stopping the vaping over Matariki.
19:56Keyzie:That's a good idea.
19:57Mike Minogue:Over Matariki for what, three days?
19:59Keyzie:Well done. Maybe that might help. You knowing that I'm not vaping or indulging in any way, it may give you sucker. Yeah. You might go, So, jeez, if Hoity J can stop vaping over this long weekend, then I can not have a drink. Well, that's the thing, I guess, is I think about that and I think, well, if Hoity J can not have a vape over the weekend, but what I know is there's a difference between Hoity J not having a vape over the weekend and Hoity J saying he's not going to have a vape over the weekend. There's a big difference. I'm into it, man. Oh. I mean, I'm not going to vape over the weekend.
20:40Mike Minogue:No one cares anymore, Jase. You've burnt us too many times. Do you see what's happened to this Keezy over here? What's happened here? This little Keezy in there? He's broken, isn't he? Yeah, I'm sick of it.
20:48Keyzie:I mean, I'll have durries. Oh, good. Yeah, yeah. But I won't vape.
20:52Mike Minogue:I was going to say, because if you're not vaping over the weekend and Mogi's going to Taupo to a 50th and not drinking over the weekend, are we just making gants up? Well, it sort of feels like we should put a bet on this. Okay. Because it feels like Keezy's got absolutely no... So this should be easy money for you, Keezy. I bet that you both will do both of those things. 50 bucks. Yes.
21:11Keyzie:Okay. Sweet.
21:13Mike Minogue:All right. Really? Yeah, totally, man. I'm sick of losing money. Okay. Wait, so if you come back on Monday and you haven't drunk or had darts, I give you$50.
21:23Keyzie:Yep.
21:24Mike Minogue:Jase, you're off the vape and the ciggies all weekend.
21:27Keyzie:But it's a hundy.
21:28Mike Minogue:No. $2.50. No, you're going the wrong way. No, it's$50. Are you keen? Yeah, man. Okay, good. Shake on it. Yep. Very good. Cool, another great bet. Another great bet. Here's Foo Fighters. Does anyone even care? The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
21:57Time for your latest sport headlines thanks to Export Ultra, the beer for here. New South Wales coach Laurie Daly says Nathan Cleary's a legend after their stunning 30-12 State of Origin series deciding win over Queensland and Brisbane. What else would he call him? Well, exactly. Back home.
22:15Keyzie:Stating the obvious. Bryn Rudkin. The four-time Premiership winning halfback scored two tries in the first half. Spoiler alert if you haven't watched it yet. The remarkable run of a tournament wildcard has continued at Wimbledon with world number 114 Arthur Ferry beating Flavio Caboli in straight sets in the quarterfinals. Ken Rudkin. And the All Blacks are working on the fine line between being aggressive, but being safe with their tackling technique. Rem Butkin. The AB's line-up to tackle Italy on Saturday is named this afternoon. Sport Headlines with Bryn Rutkin.
22:58Mike Minogue:Thanks for that, Bryn. I think it's subtle. Thanks, Rem. You're welcome, Mark. So is it Rem or is it Bryn? I've forgotten at this point, actually. Yeah, OK. It's our pie! Call 0800-HORAKI and you could grab yourself a slice of the Dad's Pies Lute. Sweet.
23:17Keyzie:Good on you, mate. Boom! Here's where to take it. Phone lines. Yeah, they're going up, baby!
23:23Mike Minogue:The HORAKI Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio HORAKI. Beer! It's Beer and Pie July on Radio HORAKI. Sweet!
23:36Keyzie:Yes indeed, your chance to win$250 cash, cash, cash. That'll be handy over the long weekend, fellas. I would absolutely love$250. Do you know how many packs of darts you can buy with that, Keezy? About five. I wouldn't know, sorry, fellas. About five, Mogey. I don't smoke. About five. Yeah, that'll probably last you the weekend. How many beers can I get, Keezy? I don't know, man. Probably 25.
24:01Mike Minogue:Beers? Yeah. Oh, at the pub. Yeah, it'd be like$10 a beer. No, sorry, they're not$10 anymore. Oh, really? They might be in Taupo. Oh, it depends where you go. Pints these days are like$15. Are you serious, man? Well, I mean, between$10 and$15. I would say RSA 9-10. Right. Certainly up here in Auckland and in Christchurch as well, where I've been. Top end, like$16. It's not even a pint. It's like a two-thirds of a pint.
24:29Keyzie:Having said that, Mogi, Taupo is pretty backward. You know, so it's probably like 350.
24:38Mike Minogue:Which is where Mogie's going for the weekend. Yeah, totally. It's not just a random drive-by on Topal.
24:42Keyzie:Let's go to the phone lines. G'day, Mark, you mad bastard. How's life?
24:47Mike Minogue:G'day, fellas. How are you?
24:48Keyzie:Yeah, good, thanks, mate. Good, yourself? Yeah, not too bad. A bit cold here in Christchurch. Is that what temperature are we looking at down there, brother? Probably about low, about five, five degrees. Oh, yeah. Is that hot, Mogie? That's hot compared to Auckland, man. Yeah, it's minus five up here in Auckland, mate. What do you do for a crust, Mark? We're for a printing company in Christchurch. Oh, yeah, back then. Yeah, good stuff. And what's the plan for the long weekend, mate? I want to take the kids away for the weekend up to Hammer Springs.
25:18Mike Minogue:Oh, classic. Hammer Springs in winter is bloody beautiful. Yeah, I've been there. Not bad, not bad at all. I went there in spring.
25:26Keyzie:It was terrible.
25:29Mike Minogue:Jase, you've never been to Hammer Springs? Yes, I have, man. Oh, yeah? They've got a detox joint there. Joseph's trying to get off the vapes. Oh, really? Yeah, that makes sense then. Hey, Mark, congratulations, mate. You've just won yourself$250.
25:42Keyzie:Awesome. Thanks, guys. No worries, mate. Just a little idea for you there, Mark. We can now, just this morning, just go in and see your boss there and just tell him to shove his job where the sun don't shine, brother, because you're rich now, man. You've got$250. I'll wave the cash in front of his face. Yeah. Slap him with it, man.
25:58Mike Minogue:Slap him with it. Get on you, Marky. Hold the line, mate. Have a great long weekend. You too. Lovely fella.
26:04Keyzie:Yeah, very pleasant fella.
26:06Mike Minogue:Just going to put that into the kids. Yeah, good. Hey, plenty more chances to win some cash ahead of the long weekend. Just keep listening to Radio Hodaki, fellas. And when you hear the pirate, call 0800-HODAKI. The Hodaki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hodaki. Red.
26:25Keyzie:Hot. Chilli peppers there on the Radio Hodaki Big Show breakfast this Thursday morning. the time exactly 10 minutes to wait.
26:34Mike Minogue:Fellas, last night I was chatting to my wife and it was a bit of a sad chat. And we were talking about, hey, you know, like if, heaven forbid, tomorrow I was to just cark it. You know? My last request, and this is what I said to her, is like my request would be, can you please ride my motorbike to work once a week? In my memory. And then she said, absolutely effing not. No, it doesn't really run, does it? Well, no, it does. It runs. It's fully registered and warranted and it runs a minute.
27:00Keyzie:What a terrible thing to say to your wife. What do you mean? Making her ride that atrocity. Humiliate herself week after week after week, Gizzi. What a piece of work you are, man. That is disgusting.
27:19Mike Minogue:It got me thinking. Is there anything like that, any requests you guys would have if you were to car kit tomorrow, Jase?
27:28Keyzie:Well, I would say to my wife. or today, burn me up for a start, and for the rest of your days, sleep with my urn next to you. Right. I've asked my wife... Be more of an egg cup. Well, my last demand is that I be cremated, but my wife has said no, that she doesn't want me to be cremated. She wants me to be buried, which is considerate. So in lieu of that, I would just ask her to wear black every day for the rest of her life. A veil maybe? Yeah. Every day. And never get into another relationship, either friendship or romantic. But she's younger than you. To the day she dies.
28:10Mike Minogue:And you're carking it tomorrow. She's still got like a lot of life. Yeah, a lot of life, but no good years. Yeah, yeah.
28:16Keyzie:Because I'm gone, Kesey. Yeah, totally. There's this thing, isn't there, when, if you were to move on, sadly, that your partner gets on with their life. Not in my books. Hell no. I want you to be miserable. Yes. Wow. Every single day. Yeah. She already is. Can't get out of bed. Can't get out of, just the urn there next to her in the bed, wearing black when she does get up. Yeah. No lovemaking with anyone else, that's for sure. Off limits.
28:50Mike Minogue:Well, that'd be a change from the current setup though, wouldn't it?
28:57Mike Minogue:She's always having affairs and that.
29:02Mike Minogue:Jase?
29:06Mike Minogue:Jeez, man. My bike is not humiliating. It is massively humiliating. It doesn't work, Keezy. It does work.
29:14Keyzie:Here's Beastie Boys.
29:15Mike Minogue:The Hodaki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hodaki.
29:21Keyzie:Yes, indeed. Beastie Boys there on the Big Show Breakfast this Thursday morning. Now, coming up after 8 o 'clock, fellas, the Thursday throbber.
29:33Mike Minogue:Throbber. Throbber. There we go. That's all right, man. Bit of admin going on this morning. It's all good. It's a little bit earlier than we're used to, Keezy. Nothing to worry about there, brother. I'm pretty excited about this now. There's been some drama over previous weeks. Hoity J, we've been running this for five years, our fifth year, and Hoity J has got absolutely no passion for the throbber at all. It's gone. He's getting disqualified. I love it. He's been getting asterisk. He's choosing the same bands week after week after week. No imagination, no input whatsoever. So it'll be interesting to see how we go today, given we are on breakfast.
30:04It's a whole new audience. It's huge. Has Hoorayjay put in, or has he just doled it in as per?
30:09Keyzie:I'm very, very confident.
30:12Mike Minogue:Also, Charlie Gubb coming on to preview the Warriors and chat a little bit about State of Origin last night. The Hauraki Beat Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
30:29Mike Minogue:It's the Hauraki Big Show's Thursday. Throbber.
30:34Keyzie:Douche, douche. Now, there may be some people out there that don't know what the throbber is, fellas, so I thought I should explain it again. Every Friday, normally, we pick a tune, each of us here in the studio, to sort of kick off your weekend, really. Yeah. To get the Friday vibe happening. Since it's the long weekend We've decided to do it today
30:55Mike Minogue:Yeah, so it's very confusing The big show's on in the morning And it's a Thursday And we're doing the Throbber That's right So everything's just upside down At the moment That's right But it's a song designed To get you fired up For the weekend, eh, Jase? Totally, man Yeah, so you would have Put a lot of thought into it, Jase Yeah, absolutely What have you gone with, brother? I've got an absolute chance
31:18Keyzie:Yeah, man
31:27Keyzie:The way we, a bit of deftones here. Oh, yeah, baby. The way that we used to do the Throbore when we first started out was once you'd chosen a song, you couldn't choose it again. That was brought back, Jason being serious, Throbore.
31:39Mike Minogue:I reckon you've chosen that song like four times. More. Great tune, man. And the funny thing about it is. What a tune. He's chosen it four times in the last, like, two years. Yeah. Not even the five years we're doing it. Yeah. What's the name of it? Sex Tape. Gross. Do you want me to go next, Moggy? Yeah, man, what do you got? I chose a song from a band. It's just an excellent way to start your day and your weekend.
32:06Keyzie:Good job. And a future island. Nice. Like it. I dream of you and me.
32:14Mike Minogue:Stop the trigger, Chase.
32:19Mike Minogue:I let it go. That is A Dream of You and Me from Future Island.
32:24Keyzie:You see, unlike you guys, I really encourage your choices. That's a great tune, Keezy.
32:30Mike Minogue:It's because I didn't phone it in. I didn't just half-ass it. I tried really, really, really hard. I guess my concern, fellas, is we seem to be getting away from the idea of what this is, which is a throbber. It's in the title. Where is the throb in those two songs? That would be my question. But here it is With a little bit of prodigy
33:02Keyzie:You had the audacity To say that I picked a similar song And you played that ten times Guys It's one of the greats man It's one of the greats Hey, you decide, New Zealand. I like the deaf tones. 0800 HODAKI. In the meantime, here's Pluto.
33:21Mike Minogue:The HODAKI Big Show with Jase, Mike and Kesey. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio HODAKI. It's the HODAKI Big Show's Thursday. Robber.
33:35Keyzie:Doosh, doosh. Yes, indeed. And I went for an absolute ch. Hang on, Jase.
33:44Mike Minogue:That's what people don't know what the Throbber is, man.
33:46Keyzie:Well, tell them then.
33:46Mike Minogue:Oh. It's where we each pick songs. I pick a good song. Mogi picks a good song. Jase picks a shitter. And then you call us on 0800 HODAKI and vote for which song you'd like to hear played in full.
33:57Keyzie:How good, man. How good. I went for this one.
34:12Mike Minogue:That is Deftones with sex tape Yeah man That is a great song It's probably my only enjoyed Deftones song to be honest They just don't click with me Thanks man But it's because you've played it so many times It's just ingrained in me now I chose Future Islands, Dream of You and Me
34:30Keyzie:Wristled by the sea Baby doosh I dream of you and me
34:42Mike Minogue:Just makes me feel happy, that song. Yeah, it's a great song. And I went with Omen by The Prodigy. It's an omen Yeah!
35:00Keyzie:Great stuff. Well, you decide, New Zealand. Let's go to the phone lines. G'day, Hayden, you massive backbone. How's life? Oh, good, boys. It's good. Good on you, mate. What are you running with there, Haydo? I'm going to vote for Omen, please. Good on you, mate. You're a bad man. Whatever, man. You're a goddamn son of a bee.
35:20Mike Minogue:Good on you, Hayden. Have a lovely day, mate. Jeez. Oh, bubba. Oh, a little. Oh, bubba. Babbba.
35:27Keyzie:Sick, bubba. Let's go to the phone lines, Keezy. Come on, hurry up. Sorry, I thought we were chatting to the bubba. G'day, Lee, you mad bastard. How's life? Yeah, not too bad. How are you guys? Yeah, good, mate. You've got deft-tone vibes to me, mate.
35:41Mike Minogue:You know, you guys missed a great opportunity to pick for you, so disappointed in that. That's all right. Yeah, I'm going deft-tones.
35:49Keyzie:Yeah. Now you're talking. Have a good day, Lee. Good on you, mate. Yeah, you guys too. I love you, man. Bye-bye. G'day, Jimmy. How's life?
36:00Mike Minogue:Yeah, bloody good. 40 J, you, mate? Yeah, good. Thanks, mate.
36:03Keyzie:Can't complain. What are you running with there, Jimmy? Well, I was going to vote old two-stroke, but I think old Mogi, your snuck through, brother. Yeah, better one, brother. As soon as I saw his name was Jimmy, Owen, oh, no. As soon as I heard his voice, I was like, oh, Jimmy's high energy, man. He's going to need to rip into Thursday. Good on you, Jimmy. Have a good day, mate. You too, lads. Hoo-roo. Woo! G'day. Gotta love it, fellas. You were so close there, Jizz, weren't you? But you just dipped out there, brother. It's been a couple of months since old hoity Jizz has had a win, but we'll get into that.
36:32For sure. For sure. Do you want to throw to the song?
36:36Keyzie:No.
36:39Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki. Threlba!
36:47Keyzie:Yeah, whatever. Hey, coming up next. Hang on a minute. Hang on. We're going to go to the scoreboard.
36:54Mike Minogue:Do we? Yeah, the Throbber scoreboard, remember? The Throbber. Everyone wants to know, man. So we keep score every time one of us wins the Friday Throbber, and then at the end of the year, that person gets the day off. That's right, and$100 ,000. $100 ,000 cash and a Reburger voucher. It's a big prize. How good. And a backbone T-shirt. Yeah, and a boys' trip hat. So just looking at the scoreboard now, Mogi way out in front on 11 wins. Well done, Mogi. You've got Keezy coming in second, nine wins for the year, and then coming last, Jase with five, two asterisks and a small D. That's right. Jase has got a small D.
37:32Mike Minogue:Yeah, and that's for him. He got disqualified. We know that's not true. You get an asterisk if you don't follow the rules of the game properly or you cheat, basically. That's right. Yeah, so not good, Jase.
37:42Keyzie:I'm still feeling very confident, fellas. About what? About the throbber by the end of the year. Okay, sure. I can see myself steamrolling both of you. I'd love to see that in real life.
37:56Mike Minogue:Here's Queens of the Stone Age. Chanting to Charlie Gubb next. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kesey. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
38:05Keyzie:Yes, indeed. Queens of the Stone Age there on the Big Show breakfast. This Thursday morning, the time is 8.22. Now, we had State of O last night. We've got the Warriors this weekend, so we thought we'd get our resident league expert on the show, the one and only Charlie Gubb. G'day, Charlie, you mad bastard. How's life?
38:26Mike Minogue:Life's good, man. Good to have you guys in the real world, the morning, the tradie hours. Yeah, man. Yeah. Hardcore, Charlie. What time are you crawling out of the old fart sack there, Charlie? This morning I was up at about 4.30 going off to a commercial site, Pampa Septic Tank. Yeah, boy. But no, my tummy hurts. Hey Charlie Last night Game 3 State of origin man Seeing as you're up At 4.30 this morning Did you manage to watch Game 3 last night? I didn't I fell asleep At kick off With my phone in my hand And then woke up And she was all over Yeah right So with your phone In your hand Were you watching The origin Or were you trawling filth?
39:08Mike Minogue:Nah I was watching Some old mature origin Yeah nice Nice nice Have you caught The highlights at all man Any thoughts on the game Or nah? Nah, sounds like Cleary had a game, eh? He had a game, yeah.
39:21Keyzie:I picked it yesterday. I felt he was due, actually, Charlie.
39:26Mike Minogue:Yeah, I guess he was, Hoody. And someone like you who knows his footy, you know, to pick an underdog like Cleary to have a good game, that's good stuff. Hey, Charlie, tomorrow night we've got the Tigers taking them on over there in Australia at 10 p.m. How do you think we'll go against them? because, of course, the Tigers beat us pretty early doors in the season and actually really did a number on us. Yeah, that was probably their best game of the season, Tigers. They all just came to play and we're a bit off. But I think having Fisher Harris back, he's going to be massive because even just a little bit more experience through the middle.
40:04Mike Minogue:And we've got someone else back, Moggy. Can you fill me on who else we've got back? Well, AKP's back. Khan Pereira's back on the wing, which is a bit of a bloody beauty. you've got Metcalfers on the bench, but he's been there before. Lekka Halasim is back? Yeah, Lekka the wrecker. Oh, there he is. Lekka's back. No, I think we'll win. I think it's going to be high scoring. You know, it seems like all these Tigers games, they win. It sounds obvious, but they win by scoring more points. They're not really defending a small score. So we all, Warriors have to be on their A game and attack as well. Well, we've hung in there.
40:36We've lost three of our last four to buy two points to teams in the top sort of two or four. Let's go with four. So games against the Tigers, these sorts of teams, we should be absolutely smashing them if we're going to be the real deal.
40:52Mike Minogue:Yeah, but as you know, Mogi, rugby league math doesn't really work like that. It just comes down to... I don't know anything, Charlie. I'm saying we should smash them, brother. No, I reckon it's going to be close. We want to smash them, right, but we just want to get through injury-free because that's what's going to be better. We're going to pump them by 50. Yeah, 50. We'll put 50 on him, right? But far up. We need a win. We need to be singing that team song together. We do, Charlie. We do. Obviously, at this point in the season, this is where your hoity Jays start to smile and say, see, the Waz are all show and no go.
41:26Mike Minogue:Tigers by 20. Jays, come on, man. Not to Charlie, man. You know he bleeds, Warriors. Yeah, man. That's a saying. But we do need a win, don't we, Charlie, just to reignite things and get us right on the correct track for the rest of the season. Yeah, I mean, everything's better when you get a win, especially in a away trip. You know, you catch the plane back and everyone's patting you on the back at home. And we've got a semi-easy run on the way home. We've got a few trash teams that we should run through. But, yeah, I don't know. I think the only thing that's going to stop us this year is injuries.
41:59Mike Minogue:So if we can get everyone back and healthy, we'll be sweet. Yep, amen, brother. And before we let you go, Charlie, who is your Portaking Player of the Week for this upcoming game? The future player of the day? Yeah, mate. Oh, gosh. I think I'm going to give it to Chanel Harris-Tavita. Nice. He's going to have a great game. Probably score a try. But we'll circle back to this on Monday, eh, fellas? Yeah, sounds good, Charlie. No, hey, let's ask Hoidi. What do you reckon, Hoidi? You seem to know everything.
42:29Keyzie:I just don't care, Charlie.
42:33Mike Minogue:All right, Charlie. Hey, you have a good weekend, mate, and thank you so much for joining us. See you. fella. See ya, mate. See ya, mate. And don't forget, if you're ever in Wellington and you need a Portalu, hit up Uncle Charlie at Portaking and he'll see you right. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
42:55Sport Headlines with Bram Rodkin. Thanks for that, Keyz. It's bang on 8.30. Time for your latest Sport Headlines. Thanks to Export Ultra, the beer for here. Laurie Daly's had the last laugh and League State of O, guiding New South Wales to a 30-12 win in Brisbane to take the series 2-1. He says the people having a crack after Game 2's heavy loss should show some balls. Ken Rudbrin. I'd love to see that actually. Would you? I'd love to see the critics show some balls.
43:26Keyzie:Yeah, totally. Or people that weren't critics. Just show some balls. Incidentally, Rim, it was actually 8-31. Oh. Thank you for that hoity. Coach Dave Rennies bluntly confirmed at least one guaranteed inclusion in the All Blacks team to play Italy in the Nations Championship in Wellington on Saturday. Asked whether Captain Adi Savir would take a break. Rennies says no, he won't.
43:58The Hurricane Super Rugby success is finally paying off off the field with their finances starting to turn a corner after back-to-back losses. Co-owner Malkagilly says things are now heading in the right direction. Jim Plumkin. Good stuff, fellas.
44:23Keyzie:Oh, God.
44:24Mike Minogue:See you on Monday, Bruce.
44:25Keyzie:Yeah, good stuff, mate. Here's Nevada.
44:28Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
44:34Keyzie:Nirvana there on the big show breakfast this Thursday morning. The time is 8.35. It's time for our mental health check-in, fellas. As is our... We'll do this again. Yeah, well, it's a tradition, isn't it? It is. We check in with each other. We just want to normalise men talking to each other about how they're feeling, how they're doing, and making sure that everything's OK. We sort of thought that if we can set an example by doing this on air, then hopefully it'll mean some conversations happen off-air between the listeners. And yesterday, Keezy, we had a chat to you, mate, and it became clear that, you know, you're like a duck on a body of water, any body of water, really.
45:13Yes. Where on the surface everything seems calm and ready, but under the water you're dropping bombs.
45:21Mike Minogue:Well, hang on. What do you mean I'm dropping bombs? You know, your legs are going like a basket. Yeah, you're dirtying the water. You're muddying things. Yeah. Okay, yeah, right. And so yesterday you were sort of saying, well, everything's all good. And appearances did seem that way. But the more we talked to you, the more it became clear that you were on pretty uneven ground mentally. And then when you came in today and I saw that you were wearing that jacket, I went, oh, here we go.
45:55Keyzie:The prison jacket. Yeah, yeah. Black and white stripes. Yes. And I went, tough times for the old Kesey at the moment. that's for sure
46:03Mike Minogue:because I put this jacket on
46:04Keyzie:yeah look
46:06Mike Minogue:my mental I think I'm in a pretty good space at the moment yesterday I was grateful that you guys checked in with me and we had a bit of a mental health check yeah but I did feel after that after that you were after that chat it was a real downhill slide 100 % it was you deteriorated badly well I just felt like we brought it to the surface and you've been hiding it deep deep deep down well I don't think I had been hiding it deep deep down I think you'd brought it on out of nowhere like you created something where there wasn't an issue is what I thought.
46:33Keyzie:And then I got a call from your wife last night and she was beside herself. She said, oh, Keezy, he's put his pink jacket on and he's gone downhill real fast. So last night I put my pink jacket on. Yes, and she said you were really annoying as well.
46:54Mike Minogue:Is this a mental health check in or is this like a wardrobe roast? Because it's really hard to distinguish the two. I love your clothes, Keezy. Thanks, mate. I want to be very clear on that. But if that jacket was a window into the soul. Which it's not. It's just a jacket. No, things are great. I just need to reiterate. Things are great, fellas. They were great. And to be honest, these mental health checkers, I wish you'd check in. Tell me three good things that are happening in your life right now. J-Smokey Pug-san. J-Smokey Pug-san. Sounds like you got that ready before. Yeah, yeah. Before the show.
47:25Okay, go again. Go, go, go. What's 10 great things you've got, Gail, in your life? See, this is what we're talking about, Keezy.
47:33Mike Minogue:Well, it tends a lot. There's lots of good stuff. My motorbike. Broken down.
47:38Keyzie:No, it's not. Yeah, it doesn't work.
47:39Mike Minogue:It runs. Okay, we've got to stop these mental health checks, all right? I don't want to normalise this. The Horaki Big Show with Jase, Mike, and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Horaki.
47:48Keyzie:Yes, indeed. ACDC there on the Big Show breakfast this Thursday morning, the time being 8.47.
47:54Mike Minogue:Fellas, it is the Football World Cup knockout rounds, and we are running an out-of-office sweepstakes brought to you by TAB. They've given us$50 bonus cash to give away. Tane called through on 0800 Hauraki. How are you today, Tane? I'm good, thanks, brothers. Yeah, good, mate. What do you do for a crust? I do a coolant mass. We repute them and build sparkles.
48:15Keyzie:Oh, yeah, backbone. Massive backbone. So you're going to chuck away$50 in with Keezy?
48:21Mike Minogue:Yeah, mate, always. No, this is not my pot, Jase. This is different. So all you've got to do, Tane, is tell me what you'd like to put that$50 bonus cash on, mate. I reckon France and McBath are any time goalscorer. Nice, mate. All right, that$50 bonus cash is all yours, all right? Well, thank you very much, fellas. No worries, mate. You hold the line. That's all thanks to TAB. The extra time, extra chances offer available on all World Cup knockout matches. Teas and teas apply. R18, bet responsible. Yeah, good stuff, man. Fellas, I'm hitting the road. I'm going on holiday for the weekend with the whanau there.
48:53And going down to Taupo. And the problem I've got is that I've got a drive there. And it's one of the most boring drives I think possibly on the face of the earth. It is. There's nothing to spice it up. There's nothing interesting about it. I'm the one that's going to be driving. My daughter wants to listen to Taylor Swift. I'm banning her from that. Yes. And I guess my question is, am I within my rights? Because my feeling is when it comes to music, my daughter can listen to whatever she wants at home in her bedroom with the door closed. And we play a bit of Swiftie on the old lounge stereo there as well.
49:29but what I see the opportunity when I'm driving the car is to brainwash my daughter into liking the music that I like. Yeah, nice. But I'm wondering if I'm all alone on that because I know my wife, who also hates my music, is going to be campaigning to listen to my daughter's music.
49:43Mike Minogue:Well, give us an example of what your music would be. Alice in Chains. Yes. Pearl Jam, Metallica, Prodigy, Rage. What else would I be? A bit of Kings of Leon. Oh, yeah, nice. Yeah, a bit of red hot chili peppers.
50:02Keyzie:You see, I don't have this problem, Moggy, because my girls love my musical taste. Is it the best in the world? A number one.
50:11Mike Minogue:What is your musical taste on a trip, Chase? Yeah, is it Deftones, Deftones, Deftones, Deftones? Yeah, pretty much. Because last time you talked about going on a road trip with one of your girls, you put on a really spicy podcast.
50:23Keyzie:Oh, no, she chose that, actually. My daughter did.
50:26Mike Minogue:Yeah.
50:26Keyzie:and it was all you can't even say what it was about yeah we won't get into it
50:31Mike Minogue:but the thing is Moggy what's interesting is my mum and dad they used to put the same CDs on when we were on road trips it was like Jimmy Barnes Joe Cocker Engelbert no Engelbert not in the car no Engelbert in the car you get too excited to drive off the road Neil Diamond no you weren't there man Thin Lizzy Lionel Richie no Hot Chocolate and heaps of Motown artists and at the time I was like, I want to play The Offspring and stuff like that. But now I love those songs because they did secretly get into my brain. Yeah, that's right. So I actually do love that music now. So if you do that. It's quite good because then you've created a bond with your parents there.
51:11Yes.
51:11Mike Minogue:Yeah, so if you do that, your daughter Mogi Minogi won't love that stuff straight away. No. But in 20 years. So short-term hate, terrible road trips, tantrums, arguing, all that sort of stuff. But in 20 years, you know, she gets herself into, let's say she's a top radio DJ, she can embarrass herself by taking her co-hosts along to concerts that they don't want to go to so that they can see 90-year-old artists like Inglebert Humperdinck. I told you, no Inglebert Humperdinck in the car. So that doesn't even work.
51:40Keyzie:Actually, there'll be a number of people actually going on roadies as we speak, fellas. What's your go-to when you're on a roadie? 3483. 3483. And where are you going? Yeah, nice. Here's the killers.
51:52Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kesey. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Horaki.
51:58Keyzie:Blink-182 there on the big show Breakfast this Thursday morning. The time is 8.56. A few people doing roadies for the long weekend, fellas, on 3483.
52:08Mike Minogue:Yeah, a bit of road trip chat. We were discussing music choices when you are on a road trip, who gets to choose, et cetera. This one here is very relevant. Mogi Ava, who's 16 years old, has texted in saying, I'm reluctantly heading to Martin, accompanied by Dire Straits, Jimmy Barnes and Pink Floyd. Oh, how painful. No, that's great.
52:26Keyzie:Dire Straits.
52:27Mike Minogue:Dire Straits are excellent.
52:28Keyzie:Nah, can't do it. You can't do it. I just can't do it. They've got a couple of tunes. I am a big fan of Romeo and Juliet. Well, I think Mark Knopfler's a great guitarist, but I don't like the band.
52:40Mike Minogue:Do you like Sultans of Swing? No. Brothers in Arms? No. Money for Nothing? No. Walk of Life? No. What about sort of white sweatbands on a bald head? Yeah. Brett's texting, he only has two rules. In the car, he only listens to the cars. And when I get home, it's only house music.
53:05Mike Minogue:How do you feel about that? Kind of angry. Sees listens to Louis Theroux podcast. Oh, yes. And obviously the big show podcast.
53:14Keyzie:My wife and I actually, in all seriousness, we do like a sort of crime podcast scenario when we're on the road.
53:21Mike Minogue:Oh, yeah. Have you got any good recommendations? No.
53:27Mike Minogue:My favourite roadie is going to Pari Moremo prison to visit my partner. Oh, how good's that? Yeah, so good. It's good. You go in there and you sort of visit them. It's like, how good, man? Long weekend. What are you up to for the weekend? But they're not doing anything.
53:41Keyzie:Yeah, they'd just be. Locked up. Deer.
53:49Mike Minogue:Hayden's text through suggesting we name this what's on the stereo with me, roadie. Oh, that's nice. Yeah, good shit. Did you make a sting for that, Pugs? No, no, it's shit. It's a joke. What's on the keys here with me, roadie? That's even worse. What about you, hoody Joe? You've obviously got to get yourself out on the road there, brother, because you've got yourself a multi-million dollar batch. Yes. And you're complaining that you have to drive for one hour to get to it, you poor bastard. An hour and a half, actually, Mogi. And I'm already exhausted.
54:18Keyzie:I'm exhausted. So what do you do to have fun on the trip? Listen to crime podcasts. Right, okay. Any recommendations? No. Oh.
54:31Keyzie:Don't mind a bit of good shit, though. On the road.
54:36Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
54:42Keyzie:It's all there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Thursday morning. Fellas, would you be keen on a bit of sport chat?
54:50Mike Minogue:Yes. Oh wait, is it Rugby Union chat? Yeah, man. Oh, okay, let's do that instead. Crouch, touch, pause, engage. Rugby Union chat with Hoidi J. I've also got a little bit of football I want to talk about and some UFC though, so does that mean it is sports chat? Oh yeah, it's probably sports chat.
55:21Keyzie:Go ahead, Jase. So the All Blacks obviously facing Italy, I believe. Fellas, we'll pump them. We'll pump them.
55:29Mike Minogue:Right. Is that the end of your chat? Yes. It's good stuff. It's just we've done a lot of build-up and that's all we're doing. Well, that's rugby chat, man. Right, Wellington. That's rugby chat. Saturday night, I believe, in Wellington. Oh, is it?
55:41Keyzie:Yeah. Who did Italy play last weekend? I believe Japan flogged them last week. Yes, Japan. That's why I'm saying we're going to absolutely pump them. Okay.
55:50Mike Minogue:All Blacks 13 plus. All right. Lock it in. They're going to love that. Then, of course, we've got an interesting one. UFC 329 on Sunday. We'll see the return of Conor McGregor to the ring. Wow. After a five-year hiatus. He's going to be fighting Max Holloway. Conor McGregor beat up Max Holloway the last time they fought, but that was a long, long time ago. McGregor has been on a hell of a run. Yes. Started a whiskey company, proper whiskey. Sold it for in excess of a billion dollars. has been snorting every bit of cocaine he can lay his hands on, having affairs left, right and centre, getting caught out.
56:24He's an absolute scumbag. And for some reason, he's decided he's going to come back and get his arse kicked. So I'm looking forward to that.
56:30Mike Minogue:He will too, won't he? I hope so, yeah. I mean, Max Holloway has been fighting all the way through. He goes pretty good. So I can't see a world in which an old, out-of-touch, rich as, desireless Conor McGregor can win. It's a pretty good card. But all in all, Benoit Saint-Denis is fighting Paddy Pimlet and there's a bunch of others as well. Outside of that, we've also got the Football World Cup. On Sunday, we're going to be seeing Norway versus England.
57:01Keyzie:That's going to be an absolute doozy of a match. That'll be a good one. It's an interesting – I'm sort of in a position like normally when you get to a World Cup, I'm normally supporting somebody. Yes. But I'm not really. Yeah. And while I think you could say, oh, I hope England loses, because they're sort of our big elder brother, right, and we want to see them fail. Yes. I don't mind if they go on a little bit further. I'd like to see them lose the final.
57:25Mike Minogue:I like England football. Yeah. Like, I don't really watch a lot of football. But a lot of the UK comics and personalities over there who I really like love football. Yeah, totally. My wife loves Peter Crouch's podcast. Yeah, it's a goodie. And he's an ex-England legend. So part of me wants them to win. Yeah, I wouldn't mind it. I've got a feeling they will. Okay. Here we go. So bet the house on it. How many games have you watched? None. But you've got a feeling they'll win the whole thing. I've just got a vibe, Phil. You know what I'm saying? First time since 1966. Yes.
57:59Keyzie:Well, since I've won the World Cup. Correct. But this match particularly, I feel like they're going to win. Right. Not the World Cup. Right. Okay. Yeah, yeah.
58:09Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kesey. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
58:15Keyzie:Yes indeed, Jane's Addiction there on the big show Breakfast this Thursday morning, but right now it's time for... What's on the Telly with Mike Minogue.
58:29Yeah! Yes. Woo! Last night, fellas, I watched four episodes of Brennan Koo's Singles Club. Oh, yes. Season 2 available on The Spin-Off and available on YouTube. We loved the first season, didn't we, fellas? It was great. Bloody good times. And Keezy, you were talking when we had Bryn Stenley and Kuta Forrester in a couple of days ago there. You were asking about what kind of numbers they were doing.
58:56Mike Minogue:Yeah, Bryn Sten and Kuta, yeah. Because I was genuinely intrigued from a TV world point of view, what counts as a success on YouTube as far as New Zealand on air is considered, you know. Yeah, well, hard to know what they consider a success, but it was doing around about 50-odd thousand per episode. Season one. Season one. That's pretty good. It's really good. Well, it's better than a lot of stuff that goes on the telly. It was on New Zealand On Air's top ten of the week. Yes. So, yeah. Isn't it funny? Because back in the day, when I first joined Crowd Goes Wild, for example, 7pm on Prime at the time, which is not 1, 2 or 3, we would average 45 ,000 viewers a night.
59:35Mike Minogue:Yeah. On a Tuesday, a Wednesday. and now getting 50 on a random YouTube. It's so interesting how much it's changed.
59:42Keyzie:The big shows on YouTube too, by the way, fellas. We get about five views. 45, up to 45 views. Sometimes.
59:50Mike Minogue:I don't think we go that high. Yeah, it's pretty low. How was the season? I haven't seen all the episodes, but it's bloody good. Same again. Yeah, so it's a little bit different this time in that they're both in relationships. In the first season, they were both single and looking for love. And this season, they've both partnered up and still got their own uncertainties about what the future may hold. So it's still as vulnerable as the first season. It's still just as funny. They've got a great relationship. They're a great pair. Great chemistry. Yeah. Great chemistry. Also, just for people that might not know, Brinley and Kura are both comedians.
1:00:24That's right.
1:00:25Mike Minogue:And the first season's them going on about how they're in their late 30s and they haven't got any partners. Early 30s and late 30s. Yeah, that's right. And how volneys they are. Yeah, that's right. I highly recommend. They're 15-minute episodes, so I managed to smash out four. We'll do the rest tonight, I'd imagine. But, yeah, it's a great show. Four buzzies out of five.
1:00:43Keyzie:How good, mate. I watched nothing. Nothing.
1:00:48Mike Minogue:Were you asleep? Yeah. Yeah, I could tell.
1:00:50Keyzie:Yeah.
1:00:51Mike Minogue:Okay. I'm glad to see that. Okay. I watched. So in the latest season on Amazon of Clarkson's Farm, I don't know if you guys have seen, but towards the end of the season, it goes through him dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Yes. Heard about it, yeah. Yeah, so my wife, it's the last episode I think and so my wife and I, let's watch this season to get to that. For some reason this season, they have decided to show and it's good, every nitty gritty part of farming. So they're rounding up these sheep and one of them is dead and so they get the vet to come over and have a look at the sheep and it's like, it's had the crows have been out its eyes and all sorts of stuff.
1:01:27Mike Minogue:And the vet just gets a knife out, cuts the sheep open And they're just filming this, and I'm watching on my 65-inch at home. They're cutting it open. He's cutting this. He cuts this. Well, if you look in here, it's just like, wow, full on. Yeah. And then last night we watched a cow give birth to a calf as well, and they're right up there.
1:01:44Keyzie:Right. Right up there.
1:01:46Mike Minogue:Seriously, yes. And so it's actually kind of like, whoa. But then at the same time, it's like, well, if you're going to eat meat and consume products from farming, you should probably know all this stuff.
1:01:54Keyzie:Yeah.
1:01:54Mike Minogue:Very interesting.
1:01:55Keyzie:Yeah.
1:01:56Mike Minogue:But I'll let you know once he gets to the - What episode was that? Five.
1:01:58Keyzie:Right up there. Four. Yeah, yeah.
1:02:00Mike Minogue:Right up there.
1:02:01Keyzie:I'm going to go and watch that after the show.
1:02:03Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
1:02:18Keyzie:Well, there you go, you mad bastards. Done and dusted for the week. Long weekend ahead, fellas. Are you fizzing? I've got to tell you, man, I'm a little bit buggered. I'm going to have to work out my systems because when we come back next week, we're going to be doing breakfast for the whole week, aren't we? I start off with a hiss and a roar, but I'm buggered by the time it rolls around to 9 o 'clock. It feels very early to be buggered. Yes. You know, you end up with a second winner, of course, but that's later. Yeah, yeah. I need it now. What about now that it's almost 10? I agree, Mogi. How are you feeling now?
1:02:49Oh, jeez, is it? Well, I feel even more buggered because that shows you how buggered I am that I was thinking it was three hours, but it's not.
1:02:56Mike Minogue:No, it's not. But I'm used to doing our show, of course. Yes. So that's probably why I'm so exhausted, because it's that extra hour. It's 25 % more. Yeah, yeah.
1:03:04Keyzie:Totally. I mean, I'm knackered too, actually, Mogey, to be fair.
1:03:07Mike Minogue:I'm totally fine, guys. I mean, we just did a few hours of radio. It's not like we, you know. Yeah, I'm buggered. Did a full day's work. Yeah.
1:03:12Keyzie:I need a holiday. Oh. Like a long weekend or something like that. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, yeah. Totally.
1:03:17Mike Minogue:Hey, coming up next, you know, we might be going on holiday for three days, but. Yes. You know, it's only the start of the day, fellas.
1:03:23Keyzie:Yeah. We're just getting started, man. Isn't that crazy when you leave after you do the breakfast show and everyone's just coming to work?
1:03:30Mike Minogue:Yeah. And I'm like, sucker. Yeah, you guys are sucker. Especially when the drive time show comes in. Yeah. Losers. Totally. Angie's up next. She's got a whole heap of great tunes lined up, fellas. Have a great weekend. Yeah, same with you, man. Hey, you guys too. Be safe out there, okay? Yeah, totally, man. I will, man. Okay. And we'll be back on Brekkie Monday morning. Okay. Sounds good to me. Bye. Bye.
