0:08Keyzie:Welcome, this is Big, to the Hauraki Big Show. Really Big. With Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keyzie. Oh, g'day you mad boss. It's great to have your company on this glorious Monday afternoon. It is the 11th of August 2025 and you, my friends, yes indeed, are listening to The Big Show brought to you by Reburger.
0:31Mogey:Beef, chicken, vegan and vegetarians options too. Oh, no. Reburger. Redefining the norm. Reburger.
0:40Jase:Chips. Dammit.
0:44Keyzie:Haircrafty. Yeah, okay. Well, it's a shame we can't do that again, but I tell you what.
0:52Mogey:So good to be back.
0:53Keyzie:So good to have the fellas back, and I'm looking across the studio, even though old Pugsan, who, by the way, fellas, did a magnificent job while you were away and is a stud. Get on with it, man. I'm looking at Mogi here, and he's... I was going to say Tandy. He's not really. He's looking quite pale. He's full of snot. He's hacking away in the corner there. But always a stallion, always a Greek. God, how are you, stud?
1:19Jase:Yeah, you're going pretty grousey, you mad dog. You're 600. God, it's good to be back. Yeah, man. It's good to be back. I mean, there's no Europe around here. Fair enough you've heard about Europe, Jase, but it's this place on the other side of the world steeped in history. You're joking. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Great. But, you know, I've missed the show, obviously missed the listeners, and it is just a joy to be back behind the microphone. Good stuff, man.
1:45Keyzie:It's good to have you back, Maggie. Oh, thanks, man. Yeah, yeah. And the fact that you're so stoked warms my heart. Yeah. Keezy! Here he is. Hey. G'day, fellas. You are looking pretty tanned, actually. Thank you, yeah, yeah, yeah. A bit of sun, a bit of wine, a bit of lovemaking. How was it, Keezy?
2:03Mogey:It was excellent, Jase. The lovemaking? Nah, not so much. Yeah. Just standy, really. Yeah. But the wine and the food and the, you know, lying on the beach and stuff, that was all excellent. Yeah. I will say that after three weeks, I was ready to come home. Yeah. Ready to get behind the mic again. Ready to absolutely crush Reburger liners, like I just did. Yeah. But yeah And by the way I was listening to Yours and Pugs' show The whole time I was away Can I just say Well done
2:29Jase:Yeah
2:29Mogey:That was It was good Like it was amazing Talk about making
2:38Keyzie:A purse from a sow's ear I tell you what Old Pugsan is a radio star For the future Don't you worry about that Not now Nah I reckon the next month or two Boy oh boy
2:51Mogey:Well, look, if it's anything like what I heard while we were away. Yeah. Far out, man. Yeah, I know. We'll get to that.
2:58Keyzie:I know. I hope we do. Hey, but listen, massive show ahead. Of course, the fellas are going to regale us with great stories of their overseas travels. But in the meantime, it's Black Sabbath.
3:10Mogey:The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey.
3:15Keyzie:Yes, indeed, Collective Soul there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this beautiful Monday afternoon. And if you're just joining us, the Fyellos are back from their overseas jaunts. I can't wait to hear all the stories, Fyellos. Yeah.
3:29Jase:Yeah. I think sort of talking about your holiday when you've come back, it kind of ruins the memory for me. Oh, okay. So I'll be keeping all of my yarns to myself. You'll be keeping mum. Yeah, I will, I will. Yeah, nice. But I can't wait to hear about Keezy's. Yeah, same. Well, hang on. That looked amazing.
3:46Mogey:Well, obviously it was. I can't even begin to describe the wonders of, you know Yeah, that's the thing, Jase
3:54Jase:We could talk about all the amazing things that happen over there In the Northern Hemisphere, Europe, et cetera, et cetera With the cobbled streets, et cetera It's in summer, yes Over there, and they're just a bit warmer But the thing is, you wouldn't get it Yeah, yeah You know what I mean? Because you've only been to Adelaide and Taiwan, was it?
4:13Keyzie:Oh, and the batch I'm pretty Asian
4:17Mogey:What do you mean? Like in terms of where you like to go on holiday?
4:19Keyzie:I tend to go, if I'm going holidaying, Asian
4:22Mogey:If you're going holidaying You're going Asian
4:25Keyzie:I'm going Asian Yeah right Can I just clarify something though that I need to know Because you guys were really big on the Speedos Before you went away Oh you can't wear filthy old dirty board shorts Blahdy blahdy blah blah blah Then you sent us a message Mogi Saying that that's just bullshit
4:44Jase:Yeah it wasn't
4:45Keyzie:that the Speedo things was complete nonsense.
4:48Jase:Yeah, I didn't see anybody over there wearing Speedos until Kesey posted a picture of himself on Instagram wearing Speedos. Well, there's people. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The people that I was talking to, the senors and the senoritas in Spain, they were saying that if you do wear Speedos, you're something of a laughing stock.
5:07Mogey:Yeah, well, it must be how the Spanish see things, or España, as I call it. Yeah, no, it's España.
5:14Jase:Oh, Spania.
5:16Mogey:Espania!
5:17Jase:Yeah, yeah, yeah. How were your Speedos received, Casey?
5:20Mogey:My Speedos were received well. And I want to be honest about Speedos. I actually, because my wife asked me this very question this morning. She said, how did you find the Speedos? And I actually found them. They were awesome. Yes. There's something about being at the beach. And like girls, when they wear bikinis and stuff, they'll know. It's just so freeing. You know, you get a tan right up your leg, right up close there. Nice. They were brilliant. I absolutely loved it. I'm with you, Keezy.
5:44Keyzie:I love a speedo. When I was doing my deep sea diving, it was speedos. And there is something about it. Because you know how I've got withered legs, fellas? Oh, God, yeah. The best part of my legs is the upper part. Yeah. And if I'm wearing big fat boardies, all you see is my skinny little stick, sort of calves and ankles, whereas I've got murderously muscly, massive thighs, which you never see. So thus I'm very, very excited about a speedo.
6:13Mogey:Well, yeah, and so in which case you would go down very well in the sort of Croatia where I was, Italy if you were swimming there.
6:21Jase:At the Eiffel Tower.
6:22Mogey:At the Eiffel Tower there. They love a Speedo there. They love a Speedo. The Leaning Tower of Pisa. Sisi!
6:29Keyzie:Oh, no, hang on. Oui, oui!
6:32Mogey:No. That's Italian. Oh, no, that's Italian, isn't it?
6:34Keyzie:Damn it!

6:35Mogey:Yeah, how many more cultures do you want to offend before we get this correct? But that was great, Chase. But I don't want to bang on about it too much. It's not going to make people jealous.
6:43Jase:I bet we've got plenty more to cover off, obviously. Sure. This can probably drag out until sort of October, November. I certainly want to get into some chat with Keezy about his chopping board that he took on to her.
6:56Keyzie:Oh, so did my wife.
7:00Mogey:The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
7:06Keyzie:The police there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Monday afternoon.
7:11Mogey:What? Yeah. Did you say Big Chode? Did I? That is so immature. Yeah, man. Did I say Big Chode? Come on, mate.
7:19Keyzie:Did you take the name of our show and replace it with Chode? Welcome back to the Radio Hodanki Big Show. And as you can hear if you're just joining us, the females are back regaling us with tales of adventure overseas in the cobbled streets of Europe.
7:33Mogey:Yeah, Europe. They're not really cobbled. Nah. Oh, aren't they? Nah, I can see how you'd think that as someone who's never been there. Sure, sure. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
7:43Jase:But no, I had a great time. What was sort of one of the exciting things, Kesey? Because there's a lot of chat, obviously, you know, before we left, there was a whole bunch of chat that came up across sort of different subjects. And one of the things that I know that people have been desperately sort of hitting me up in my DMs about is what happened to your chopping board when you were over there in gay Paris, as they call it?
8:07Mogey:Yeah, I was in gay Paris. and one of the things my wife really wanted to do was have a picnic under the Eiffel Tower. Oh, how sick. Oh, that is... No, I'm sorry, but you can't take the piss out of that. No, that's very romantic. That's very romantic, Gisey. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But you guys were saying, oh, sick. Yeah, no, it's sick as. Primo. It was. And so for this, she was like, oh, I'll make sure to pack a chopping board from New Zealand and take it to Europe for 20 days before we even used it.
8:39Jase:Yeah.
8:41Mogey:Turned out to be a great idea. Oh, yeah. We had a small picnic for about an hour. We used the chopping board. We chopped some cheese on it. Did you bring it home, Matt? Nah, I left it there in the bin. Oh.
8:53Jase:You should bring it back because you could have put it on the wall. Yeah, you could have put a little frame over your chopping board.
8:58Mogey:Well, it was a plastic one and it actually broke on the way there. So not only did we take a chopping board around Europe for three weeks, It was broken as well. Right. So we went to use it and it was kind of busted up. We also took our own knife because apparently they don't have knives in Paris.
9:13Keyzie:That reminds me, how did you get on? Because you had to take a packet of chips as well. How did you get on with those?
9:18Mogey:I took a few packets of chips actually. My sister-in-law who lives in Amsterdam, we were meeting them in Croatia. The one thing she requested was a couple of packets of Bluebird chicken chips.
9:27Jase:Yeah.
9:27Mogey:I ended up taking her four packets. She was stoked. She inhaled them within like the first two days. Wow. They were a pain in the ass.
9:35Jase:Just little ones or big ones?
9:36Mogey:No, like the little ones you get in the dairy. Yeah. So not the really small ones.
9:41Keyzie:I tell you what, fellas, it's been dire since you've been away on the chip front. Oh, is it? It's been shocking. We can't find them anywhere. Right. We have hunted. I've been through people's drawers. They've locked them in the fridge. I've been losing my shit over the lack of chips here. They've been putting it out to the people as well. Have we been receiving free boxes of chips?
10:05Mogey:No. There's a store. There's a shot, yeah. I'm not paying for them. See, this is the issue is that you've gotten used to stealing the ACC's chips. Now you refuse to pay for chips.
10:16Jase:I was looking forward to hearing what else you had at your picnic, but we've been derailed into chip chat.
10:21Keyzie:We have. What did you have? Cold meats and cheeses and olives?
10:26Mogey:We had cheese. We had prosciutto. Prosciutto? Yes. Which is like a ham, Jase, but from Europe. I know what prosciutto is, Jase. No, you don't. It's from Europe. Yeah, you've never had real prosciutto, man. You don't know shit. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy.
10:45Keyzie:Oh, yeah. ACDC there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this Monday afternoon. And, boy, the fellas have been missing their rugby league. And with that in mind, we've got the legend himself, ex-warrior Charlie Gabb. G'day, Charlie, you mad bastard. How's life? Yeah, good thanks, JC. Hard bastard. Good to have the band back together. Yeah, totally right, man.
11:06Jase:I'll tell you what, you know your way around Europe there, don't you, Charlie? If I remember correctly, you walked out of a contract in France, didn't you? Yeah, I got kicked out of that one, yep.
11:18Keyzie:How long were you in France for? Did you go at all? No, no, I ended up going to England, but it was annoying. They kind of just knew I'm kind of known as that guy with the big hog over there.
11:30Mogey:That would be so annoying, man. Is that why you got kicked out? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
11:36Keyzie:Hey, Charlie, as I said, the fellas obviously have been away two, three weeks. She's been pretty grim showing from the fellas on a bit of a downward trajectory at the moment. It has been tough. It has been tough, obviously, that first week without Kizia Mogi here. Yeah, tough loss and Pugsy forgot to call me last week. Well, we called you, but you just wouldn't answer your damn phone, man. Oh, shit. I was on the hammer. Sorry, brother.
12:06Mogey:Yes, that's all good. Okay, so you were trying to get in touch because we were under the impression, Charlie, that Jace isn't interested in rugby league at all, so he didn't bother calling you while we were away. He didn't. No, he didn't call me, but that's all good. That's all good. We're back this week. And obviously versus the dogs, you would have watched it. I felt like we started well, like our D-line was on, Fisher-Harris was back, brought a lot of energy, but it just kind of got away from us. Errors and then losing Tamari Martin, our kicking game, just went out the door and dogs played the perfect game.
12:40Mogey:Yeah, right. I mean, how are you personally feeling at the moment, Charlie? You know, panic stations or anything? I'm not panic stations because I've always got the mentality, as long as you can come right by finals, because every team's got to win three in a row. It doesn't really matter where you are on the table. If you're not good enough, you're not good enough to win it anyway. It doesn't matter whether you're sixth or second. Exactly.
13:08Jase:I guess looking at who we've got coming up for the rest of the year, maybe four or five weeks ago you think, oh, look, we're going to piss it in here. It's going to be easy as we're playing the Titans and a whole bunch of other losers. Now it looks like we're going to get towed up by everybody and fall out of the eight. It's good to know that it frees up your October. You don't have to worry about watching any finals footy. Am I right? No, I reckon we're definitely going to be in finals footy. I reckon, like, I don't know. Everyone's quick just to, like, put the slipper in, you know. Yeah. Not me, Charlie.
13:40Nobody's quicker than me, man. We're going to have a good, tough win this week. Not you. Not you, Hoity. Like, you've been there since day one. You haven't changed your journey.
13:47Keyzie:Exactly, man. Hey, is it time, you know, with Mitch Barnett? Just strap some tape on the bastard and get him out there, man. Yeah, I reckon.
13:58Jase:And I've got another question for you, man. Andrew Webster, is it time to get rid of him? No. What? What's going on? What have you been doing over there, brother? They've been eating prosciutto and quaffing wine. I mean, I do have a question. What is the thinking behind getting rid of Tanner Boyd, knowing that we're going into that wet and we need somebody with a long kicking game? Was there any sort of chat? this is the one post-match press conference I haven't watched. What was the reasoning from Webster around doing that? Because it seemed like the actions of a madman. Yeah, no, I didn't watch it.
14:30I didn't watch the post-match. But obviously going on the last two weeks, his kicking's been pretty good. I don't know, we'll just select a bit of chemistry. I'm thinking maybe the leadership group and kind of the spine people got together and thought maybe we'll give Chanel and Mario Martin and they go together, which obviously backfired with him getting a head knock. But Boyd will be straight back in. And obviously the New South Wales Cup team got minor premiers. Boyd had a good game. Yeah, boy.
15:01Mogey:Yeah, that's awesome, man. I think pretty much undefeated. Three games left and they're already minor premiers or something. So that team below the Warriors is having a cracking season. Charlie, we've got the Dragons this Friday. They are pretty… You're going all right. I think they had a win last week. They're having a bit of a classic Warriors season, really, where they're sort of just outside the eight, but they have talent and promise. I think they're coming good. Who, the Dragons? Dragons. Yeah, yeah. Who's your favourite Dragons player, man? Literally, Jason.
15:33Jase:Any dragon in history. In the history, exactly.
15:37Keyzie:I don't like to get bogged down in the minutiae.
15:40Jase:Just name one player that's ever played for them, or even where they're from.
15:44Keyzie:The Dragons, the Dragons. Where are they from again? Were you what, C? Australia.
15:51Mogey:Charlie, before we let you go, man, even though it was a tough loss against the old doggies there, who was your Porter King player of the round? Just putting myself on repeat, because I'm going to give it to Aaron Clark. Yeah. I mean, even in a tough loss, he was still tackling his ass off, making a lot of metres and stuff. Charlie Gubb, thank you so much for coming on the show. Don't forget, if you're in the Wellington region and you need a Port-a-loo, hit up Porter King. and Uncle Charlie has sought you out.
16:19Keyzie:Hey, Charlie, look forward to seeing you next Thursday, mate, at the Parrot Dog there in Lyle Bay. Yeah, let's do it. And just because I haven't really been, I obviously didn't listen to the show while he and the boys were away because we all just went to the dogs a bit. But, Mogi, what was your low light of your trip?
16:39Jase:The low light? Yeah. Oh, probably an oasis, mate. That probably was as bad as it got, man. Yeah. Eh? Not bad, eh? Good on you, Uncle Charlie. Good on you, Charlie. Good on you, Charlie. Good on you, Charlie. Good on you, Charlie. Good on you, Charlie, man. All right. You're the man, Charlie. You're the man, brother. Yeah, you're the man. You're my man. Love you, baby. I'm going to deduce him when I see him on Thursday.
17:00Mogey:The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy.
17:05Keyzie:Yes, indeed, Foo Fighters here on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this beautiful Monday afternoon, but right now it's time for What's on the telly with Mike Minogue
17:19Jase:Hey Yes Look we've got a lot to get through today fellas Look we had a chat off here and you guys were going to talk about what you'd watched but because it's named after me I'm going to talk about what I watched Great I watched a movie, I watched heaps on the planes while I was away, I went to Europe I don't know if you guys I watched a movie called A Real Pain and it's directed by Jesse Eisenberg. You know that guy? Oh, from the Social Network? Yeah, written and directed by. And it stars him and also Kieran Culkin. Yes, Kieran Culkin from Succession. And it's about the two of them, their cousins, they go to Germany and sort of retrace their Jewish heritage.
18:02Jase:Jesse Eisenberg's sort of been a got-it-together sort of a guy and his cousin, Kieran Culkin, sort of a little bit of a loser, but charming, and everybody loves him. So Kieran Culkin won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in this. Also in that category was Jeremy Strong, who plays the brother in Succession. Yes. And he got nominated for his role as Roy Cohen in The Apprentice, which is the Donald Trump thing. So anyway, I watched this one first and was waiting for the scene, which would even have him anywhere close to deserve being even nominated for an Academy Award. and at no point did that scene happen.
18:42Jase:And completely middle of the road, nothing happens performance and he got an Academy Award for it. Last night on the plane back, I watched The Apprentice in which Jeremy Strong does an incredible job. He's all over the show with his performance. What he has to do, his range, his trajectory, his arc as a character. He must have felt absolutely robbed that he did not win or that Kieran Culkin was even nominated. It's like Kieran Culkin won because people like him.
19:12Mogey:Yeah, right. So he got an Academy Award for a middle-of-the-road performance.
19:15Jase:He's fine, but it's like he's just been himself. It's the same thing. Yeah, right. He's doing the same thing.
19:20Mogey:Anyway, it's... Because I was going to say, Jase, you could probably get one for Broken Wood, man.
19:24Keyzie:Oh, I imagine so, yeah. It's amazing the amount of fans for Broken Wood out there, actually.
19:29Mogey:Oh, it's mind-boggling. Yeah, mind-boggling. It's sold in like 80 countries. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
19:33Jase:Well, the Paranormal sold in 110.
19:36Mogey:Wow. I didn't even know there were that many countries. I don't know much about countries.
19:39Jase:Anyway, A Real Pain, three buzzies. Out of five. And a robbery. Right, okay.
19:46Mogey:Okay.
19:47Keyzie:All right, Keyes, well, you've been away. No, no, you go. No, well, you've been watching a bit of stuff too.
19:51Mogey:I am a big fan of the movie In Bruges with Colin Farrell. Yes, Brendan Gleeson. Brendan Gleeson and also Ralph Ralph Fiennes.
20:00Jase:Ralph Fiennes, yeah.
20:01Mogey:Great movie, really slow, a lot of tension, blah, blah, blah, blah. Then at the end, big sort of climax.
20:07Jase:Yeah.
20:07Mogey:Banshees of Inner Sheeran came out. It's about two guys living on an island off the coast of Wales, I think it is, way back in the day. And one guy just decides he doesn't want to be friends with the other guy anymore. And the whole movie is him trying to come to terms with and understand why. Watched it on the plane, really excited. At the end of it, I was like, that movie was so boring. Right. And I'm so gutted because I love all of those actors. I love a lot of those kinds of movies. And I was just like, where's the big thing at the end? You know what I mean?
20:38Jase:I loved it. Absolutely loved that movie.
20:40Mogey:No, great performances. Once again, really good performances. Colin Farrell is amazing. He's so good. However, the movie itself, I was just like, nothing's happening. Other than little things that I don't give a crap about.
20:54Jase:Yeah. But you're used to watching things like, you know.
20:58Mogey:What?
20:59Jase:Yeah, Grand Designs. Country Calendar. And that's like action-packed. Exactly, the cherry yarns.
21:05Keyzie:The Cherry Orchard and Country Calendar, that was all action.
21:09Mogey:Well, he didn't diversify his income at all. That's what I was waiting for.
21:13Jase:Is it Barry Keegan in there? The weird little fella there?
21:17Mogey:Oh, in what?
21:18Jase:Oh, yes.
21:20Mogey:He was a very amusing character.
21:21Jase:He got nominated for an Academy Award for that. He was brilliant. That young fella.
21:24Mogey:Yeah. He was brilliant too. It's just that it's just a boring movie in my opinion. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Fair enough. It's like when I watched Birdman. And everyone was like, you've got to watch Birdman. It's so great. And then I watched it and I was like, that movie sucked. So, yeah, I'll give it two buzies out of five. Wow.
21:40Keyzie:Oh, okay. There you go. Harsh, harsh.
21:42Mogey:Interesting, though, isn't it? It is interesting.
21:44Keyzie:It is. I really enjoyed it.
21:46Mogey:Not the film. It sucked.
21:47Keyzie:Hey, now listen. Plenty coming up after five o 'clock, including the travel log continues from the fields. Yeah.
21:56Mogey:Yeah.
21:56Keyzie:Yeah.
21:57Mogey:Anything else?
21:58Keyzie:No, I don't know. We'll find something.
22:02Mogey:The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
22:09Keyzie:You're welcome back, you massive backbones. Hope you're surviving your Monday afternoon. You're listening to The Big Show, brought to you by Reburger.
22:15Mogey:Crave-worthy street food, freshly made with Reburger. Reburger. Chaps. Reburger, b****. Sorry, Mogi, you guessed wrong, man.
22:26Keyzie:Damn it. Yeah. No$50 voucher for you, Mogey. We stopped doing that, man. Did you? Yeah, yeah, we're not doing that anymore. Right.
22:34Mogey:Yeah, because we've been away in Europe.
22:35Keyzie:Well, I won a couple while you were away, so that was sweet for old Hoity J.
22:40Mogey:Oh, really? You and Pugs played that game?
22:41Keyzie:Yeah, yeah, I guessed right a couple of times. Really? Feasting on Reburger. So good, man. Have I told you about the fries? The Reburger fries? No, please, continue. Best fries I've ever had. Oh, really? Hands down. I don't know what the fries were like in Europe, but I'd be very, very surprised if they were anything like the Reburger fries.
23:04Jase:Every single place you walk into, man, was like Reburger.
23:07Mogey:Wow.
23:07Jase:Yeah.
23:09Mogey:Who do you think invented fries? Yeah. The French. French fries. Ever heard of them?
23:14Keyzie:Oh, right. Because you were telling me about some fries over there in, oh, Francais. Loaded fries with, you know, your old, what are the, Parmesan, not Parmesan, Truffle. Oh, the meat's just gone out of my head. Prosciutto. Prosciutto.
23:30Mogey:Yeah, so I went to France and I ordered the loaded fries. Yes. And it came out and it had prosciutto. Le, le. Oh, that's right. Sorry, le loaded fries. Le loaded fries. And it came out and it had prosciutto. It had truffle on it. Yeah. Wow. Snails. Snails, bruschetta. And it was, yeah, it was amazing. You've got to go, Jase. You've got to. You simply must. Jase, you simply must. Jase, go to France. You must go.
23:57Keyzie:I just don't know if I can afford it, fellas.
24:00Jase:You know what I mean? But it's worth it, man. Yeah, I guess so. Just what you've got, you simply must find a way.
24:05Keyzie:Jase, you simply must go. What I need to do is one of those sort of dream charts that you have up, you know, and you put all your dreams up on the chart there and you aim for it. Oh, yeah. You know what I mean? A dream chart, yeah. Maybe in about five years, old Hoody J will make his way. Just find a way, Jase.
24:22Mogey:You simply must. Isn't that a vision board?
24:25Keyzie:Or a vision board or a dream board, as it's also known.
24:29Jase:Or a dream chart. Or dream board. Yeah, man. Oh, how appropriate. You simply must go to Oasis, fellas.
24:36Mogey:Didn't you go to Oasis at Wembley? You should tell us about how the concert was. Yeah, let's talk about that next. Yeah, man. You simply must. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy.
24:48Keyzie:Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers here on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this Monday afternoon. Noonger time, 14 minutes past 5 o 'clock. Previous to that song, of course, we played Oasis. And our man himself, old Moogie, got to see them live in the flesh at Wembley Stadium. Talk us through it, Moogie. Sure did, man.
25:05Jase:I mean, where do you start, I guess?
25:09Mogey:Well, can we just start by saying 90 ,000. Yes. I think it was the largest concert on their entire tour.
25:15Jase:Yeah, well, they did three there. They did three there. So I was at the last night of their Wembley run. So, yeah, 90 ,000 people. I decided that I wasn't going to get on it, number one, because I had sinusitis and I had done since I got off the long-haul flight, so I was feeling pretty tip-top. But also because I thought, well, the vibe looks like it's so good from what I'm saying on Instagram. I'm not sure you need to. So I got there, and I had about maybe 10 pints. So just cruising. So just sort of, you know, a couple here and there. There was a band called Cast The Opened. You heard of them?
25:51Jase:Nah Garbage Open cast Yeah don't bother with them Really But then Richard Ashcroft came on We play a few of his songs here Bittersweet Symphony From The Verb Oh The Verb Yeah Lucky Man The Drugs Don't Work All of that Great great warm up stuff And then Oasis came on For I think they played for about two hours Wow And the reason why I wanted to go over there Was because I wanted to see them in front of Their people You know They are working class heroes over there They You know The mother She was a single mother the Raised Three Sons from the estates over there, absolute bones of their ass sort of styles, and then to go from there to being the biggest band in the world, great story, and they're more popular over there than they are anywhere else, and that was what it was like.
26:34Jase:Generally, you go to any kind of a concert, there's always a portion of the crowd, even if you're down here at Vector or wherever, where everyone's just sitting down, or they'll just be kind of into this band, but not really into this band. For this, every single person was on their feet for the entirety of the concert, and every single person was singing every single lyric of all of it. Right. And it was 90 ,000 people, and it was at Wembley. It was, without a doubt, the best concert that I've ever been to, and it was 100 % worth the trip and every single penny that I spent on it, keeping in mind that I had pretty high expectations of what it was going to be, and it lived up to and exceeded every single one of those expectations on every single level.
27:19Keyzie:Holy cow. How good, man. Yeah. Because you sent through some, you know, you had a few quiets. Yeah. Just to settle the nerves. Some pretty phenomenal drinking stats. Oh, yeah. From the concert.
27:32Jase:Yeah.
27:33Keyzie:You know, 90 ,000 people there eclipsing all the drinking records previous to that because I'm picking, and it was unsurprising that the Oasis fan likes a pint.
27:42Jase:Well, yeah, that's true, but there was no one that was maggoted.
27:45Keyzie:Right.
27:46Jase:That you could see at 90 ,000. Well, yeah. I mean, everybody around us was all good. You always see steamed people at every single concert. But this was, people did it. It was like they didn't want to bugger it up. There was one guy that got dragged out who was behind us. It took about 15 or 20 security guards to drag him out. Wow. Because it was about halfway through, and he was simply not going to miss that concert. He wasn't throwing punches, but he was not leaving. So any time a metal pole came near him, he was clinging on to that. For dear life. It took them a long time to get him out. One of the great travesty moments of the whole thing was, and I carry a little bit of guilt around this, was while we were there, a guy who was probably about 40-ish or so proposed, while Oasis was playing, proposed to his girlfriend.
28:34Jase:Right. Right in front of us. So we were sort of standing up on a balcony sort of thing and it was sort of down there. Wow. And he proposed to her. She said no. Oh. She said no. Are you joking? No. And then they started arguing. They were arguing. Now they're at this Oasis concert arguing for about 10 minutes. He's trying to talk her into it. She's not having it. And I was shouting out at them, guys, another time, another place. Oasis is on. You waited how long? You're going to ruin it, boy. Just put it away. Let's get on with it. But they couldn't hear me. They couldn't hear me. That's surprising.
29:12Jase:To get your attention, I put together a few of the plastic pints that I'd been collecting at my feet, empty now, and I bounced them off the guy's head just to try and get his attention. Yeah, right. But he took that as a final humiliation, and he stormed out of the concert. Oh, my gosh. And then his bride-to-be chased him out. So I don't know if they got to see the rest of the gig.
29:38Mogey:What a way to ruin just an all-time amazing gig. I know. Big risk.
29:43Jase:Huge risk. Big risk. You're only doing that if you think you're absolutely getting a yes. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
29:48Mogey:She was more of a definitely maybe.
29:55Jase:Anyway, if you get a chance, Jase, to see Oasis at Wembley in front of 90 ,000 people, you simply must.
30:01Keyzie:Where's Wembley again? It's overseas. It's in the UK. Oh, UK. It's right next door to Buckingham Palace.
30:08Jase:Oh, okay.
30:08Mogey:And UK's not part of Europe anymore. Oasis Wembley Yeah I must Simply must The Hauraki Big Show With Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy
30:22Keyzie:Nirvana there on the radio Hauraki Big Show this Monday afternoon The time 27 minutes past 5 o 'clock
30:29Mogey:That song Fellas off the album Nevermind Which came out in 1991 And if you aren't aware that's part of the 90s decade
30:37Jase:Is that Nirvana's first album?
30:39Mogey:Yes Yes. Nah, nah, that was stupid. Of course not.
30:44Keyzie:Hey, have you fellas, because you've been away, obviously, over in Europe, heard about our thing that we're doing at the moment, nothing like the 90s? Tell us all about it, man. Oh, nothing but 90s, sorry.
30:54Jase:Oh, nothing but 90s.
30:55Keyzie:Yeah, we've just got to get all the people out there listening to our shows to vote their top three songs from the 90s. And if you do that and become a part of it, you win a plethora of prizes.
31:06Mogey:That's right, a 90s-based kit, a pair of Doc Martens, a Fender guitar, some Chuck Taylors as well. Just a whole bunch of stuff from the 90s. A 95 Waz jersey,$1 ,000 cash as well.
31:20Jase:So you just vote, but there's no countdown or anything?
31:24Keyzie:There is a countdown later on when we tabulate all the hits from the 90s.
31:30Mogey:That's right, the nothing but 90s countdown. It's a massive countdown kicking off August 25th, so another couple of weeks of voting, and then we'll be ripping into all your favourite tunes from the 90s in a countdown style fashion, Mogey. Loving it. So if you're keen to vote, text the word VOTE to 3483. Jase, what are you playing with? He's like rustling around with something and it's really off-putting. What is it?
31:51Keyzie:A piece of paper. Nice, man. We're on the radio, man.
31:55Mogey:Yeah, I know. I know. But yeah, text the word VOTE to 3483. It's all thanks to Super Liquor, who this month are celebrating 30 years of cheers. Wow. Happy birthday, Super Liquor. How good, eh? So good, fellas. Hey, it says here that Pugs has got some amazing stings.
32:13Keyzie:Yeah, well, while you were away, obviously, fellas, it was just the two of us here battling away, with two-thirds of the show away. Can I just say, once again, amazing stings.
32:21Jase:I was listening to the podcast while I was in Europe. God. Yeah.
32:26Keyzie:You know, and the reality is, one of the big things we had to decide our name. We were running with the Hauraki Big Chode for a long time. That's a good name. It's a good name. It's Talk Usurut. Well, just the Radio Hodaki Big Chode.
32:39Mogey:But why? Is it because you're short?
32:42Keyzie:It speaks for itself, Gizzi, you know what I mean?
32:45Mogey:Yeah, right, okay.
32:46Keyzie:But we put it to the people, and the one that got the most overwhelming response, which we were both a little bit unsure of at first, was Spoon Boy and the Jizz. Now, I've got to say, after my initial thought, it grew on me.
33:04Mogey:Yeah, right.
33:05Keyzie:And so we went with Spurmboy and the Jazz, and then, of course, Pug Sun made all these incredible stings for Spurmboy and the Jazz. Well, we've actually got Pug Sun.
33:14Jase:Shall we hear those first?
33:14Mogey:Oh, okay.
33:15Jase:Oh, no, we're going to save them. Yeah, we can. Yeah. Fire away.
33:18Mogey:Okay. All right, here's the first one.
33:21Keyzie:Pugs.
33:22Mogey:Pointy J. More like Spurmboy and the Jazz.
33:28Mogey:So good. How good is that, man? So that's what you guys were playing while we were.
33:32Keyzie:Well, no, I'll get to the drama. I'm going to keep playing the other ones here because there's more than one. It's Spam Boy and the Jizz. Great, great, great, great. So good. So good. Keep going. Spam Boy.
33:47Mogey:And the Jizz.
33:50Keyzie:That's my favourite one.
33:51Mogey:Is that your favourite one? And the Jizz. Yeah, right, right. There's one more. Do you want to hear that one? Yes. Spam Boy.
33:57Keyzie:What the hell?
33:59Mogey:The Jizz.
34:01Jase:On Radio Horeaki. That's pretty good as well.
34:04Keyzie:Yeah, they're pretty good. Then drama, fellas, then drama. Management got involved and said, you can't call yourself Spurmboy and the Jizz.
34:14Jase:Yeah.
34:14Keyzie:I can't imagine why. And Pugs had made all these four sensational stings, which we couldn't then play. Right. Because management bogsy up in his ivory tail. We're not having it. So we kind of had to run with the Hodaki Big Show for the rest of the time. but we got Spurn Boy and the Jizz in there sometimes.
34:35Mogey:Right, okay. And why were you called Spurn Boy and the Jizz? Because I can see where Bogsy's coming from.
34:40Keyzie:Well, it's just that's what the people, when they were visiting. Oh, they voted. Yeah, they voted. When they visualised the two of us working together, it was Spurn Boy and obvious reasons for old Pugson, the stallion that he is. Yeah, right. You know how many condoms he goes through, man. Jase. And, of course, I know I'm the Jizz. Yeah, you are. Right, I'm the Jizz. Yeah, absolutely you are. So it makes sense.
35:00Mogey:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Actually, Pugs, how are you finding it being back in the producer's booth, mate? It feels really good, man. I'm just happy to have the full show back. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Honestly, Spurn Boy and the Jizz will stick with me, though, forever. I'll say that. Same here, Pugs. Thanks, man. Hey, same here, man. I was listening from Europe. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Everyone in Europe was talking about it as well.
35:19Jase:Spurn Boy and the Jizz was on everybody's lips.
35:22Mogey:Do you know what they were saying? They were saying you simply must listen to it. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy
35:32Keyzie:Billy Idol there on the radio Hauraki Big Show this Monday evening and it's back baby what's on the dinner with me Keezy
35:40Mogey:yeah that's right you must have missed that so bad oh yeah I was in Europe and I was thinking man you know what I miss reading out texts about what people are having for dinner yeah I bet you did I was like take me home now I want to read some
35:53Keyzie:I tell you what Pugsans Asian Delights though. Fantastic. So many good recipes. Did he? Oh, he did do a bit of chat about food as well. He did some food chat. Yeah, there was a bit of food chat in there. A little bit.
36:03Mogey:So what was that segment? So he'd read out recipes?
36:05Keyzie:No, he would talk us through his various sticky beefs and so forth. Oh, his personal ones. But that was only about a tenth of what he talked about. He's a big fan of Asian countries and so he talked to us about all the stuff he'd done over there and all that sort of stuff. Yeah, right.
36:22Mogey:I can imagine he's done some stuff. Oh, he has.
36:25Keyzie:God. Yeah, yeah. You didn't broadcast all of it, I hope. By the way, text us, 3483. Tell us what's for dinner tonight, New Zealand, because we're really keen to know.
36:34Mogey:That's right. How the segment works is you text in on 3483. You say what you're having for dinner.
36:39Jase:Can you just explain this, Matt?
36:41Mogey:Yeah, yeah, yeah. You say what you're having for dinner. You text in on 3483, Moggy. Yeah. Chuck your name in there. Sure. You know what I mean? Where are you from? And then if we read it out on the old radio there, you're in the draw for a$50 Reburger voucher.
36:55Keyzie:How good, man. Hey, fellas, I'm going having Mediterranean. You heard of that? Mediterranean tonight for old Hoody Jay. Jay. Mediterranean.
37:04Mogey:I was literally just there, man. All right. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
37:15Keyzie:Welcome back, you massive backbones. You are listening to The Big Show brought to you by Reburger.
37:19Mogey:Handcrafted burgers, loaded fries and gourmet eats. It'll change the game. Reburger.
37:25Jase:Chips.
37:26Keyzie:Sauce chicken. Oh. God. Bit of enthusiasm, please, Mogi. Okay, man. Come on, man. Chips.
37:36Jase:Get behind it, man. I'm a big gutted about it because I've already had two guys at chips
37:39Keyzie:and I didn't win. Right, okay. Hey, I tell you what, the fellas are back, obviously. Even better news, we're on the road again next Thursday at the Parrot Dog in Lyle Bay, 21st of August, and we want to see you backbones there. and I was thinking, fellas, it's actually been ages since we've all done a live show together. Yeah, how long has it been? A year?
38:00Jase:Yeah. It wouldn't have been this year. We did because we went down and did the World Food Festival and Hoity Jizzbot wasn't there because he was over in Vietnam. In Vietnam. And then we did one a couple of weeks ago where I wasn't there because I was looking after my kid because my busses was away. So I've only done two all year. Was that Christchurch? It's shocking. It is.
38:18Mogey:So we did one in Christchurch for the Black Clash at the start of the year.
38:21Jase:Oh, wow. Yeah, but Jase wasn't in that. Oh, yes, I was. No, we all were.
38:27Mogey:But anyway, but the good news is we are all going to be there. Parrot Dog and Lyle Bay, which is in the Wellington region. This is all in anticipation of Beervana, which kicks off on the Friday and Saturday there. So make sure you come on down to Parrot Dog and Lyle Bay.
38:45Jase:Parrot Bay is a great name. It is. Parrot Bay. The trouble is, though, Kesey, you've come up with his name, but there's no parrots that live at Parrot Bay. I haven't come up with this name. Otherwise, Niner's Lyle Bay. There's heaps of seagulls, but they're not parrots, Keezy. You can't go around calling seagulls parrots.
39:03Keyzie:Maybe what you do over in Europe, buddy, but not an old good old NZ. Doesn't fly here, brother. We're a humble people here, Keezy.
39:12Mogey:Yeah, sorry, fellas. It's just I got so used to pointing at seagulls in Europe and saying they were parrots. That's my bad. I just thought I'd try it.
39:22Jase:Regardless, I'm going to see you bastards down at Parrot Bay. No, this is the issue.
39:26Mogey:It's confusing now. Well, whose fault is that? Parrot Dog. Shit, it's a good brewery.
39:35Keyzie:Yes.
39:36Mogey:And it's down in Lyle Bay there, which is in Brunington. How about it at Lyle Bay? That's next Thursday at four.
39:43Keyzie:Yeah, come and see us. It'll be good. Also, get those texts in on 3483. What's on the dinner tonight? Let us know.
39:50Mogey:What's on the dinner with me, Keezy? You can win yourself a$50 Reburger voucher. Worth getting involved there, fellas.
39:55Jase:What the hell was that? I was just thinking about you. What? Parrot boy.
40:02Mogey:The Hauraki Big Show. With Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy.
40:07Keyzie:The Mutton Birds there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this Monday evening, but right now it's time for...
40:14Mogey:Oh, yeah, hey, guys. Text here from Steve. 40:39Jase:yeah
40:39Mogey:hey as I was hopping off the plane in Auckland yesterday morning I got a message saying hey the guy's working in the cockpit want to know if you want to hang behind and come have look at the cockpit. And it turned out I was a listener of the show. Something like Carl was trying to show you his cockpit. I was second officer Carl Ballantyne. I got to go in the cockpit of the old plane there. You sit on the pilot's knee? No, I got to sit on the seat and put the hat on.
41:02Keyzie:I mean, that would have been a risky business given how backed up you were.
41:06Mogey:100 % they had no idea. Wow. You could have filled that entire cockpit. I also got to look in the little compartment up where they sleep. They've got a little area with like beds and seats and stuff. It was really interesting. So big shout out.
41:19Jase:Yeah, shout out to Carl Ballingtine.
41:21Mogey:Don't change his name to Ballingtine. What was his name? Ballingtine.
41:26Jase:What did I say?
41:27Mogey:You're adding a G in there. For some reason, that feels like an insult, but it isn't really, though. Hey, should we get to some dinner text, fellas?
41:36Keyzie:Because I'm starving.
41:37Mogey:Oh, these will sort you right out, Chase. Liam
41:43Jase:Just shout out to all of the Kitchen staff right across Europe Who made just the The best food Wow yeah Shout out to them
41:53Mogey:Do you know what one of them said as they handed me food What was that man Bon Appetit Yeah so cool

42:06Mogey:But they were talking about my downstairs is they'll say, oh, bon appetit, because of my time.
42:15Keyzie:Hey, should we get some dinner tickets?
42:16Mogey:Yeah, can we? Sorry, I've got a case of the, I feel a bit silly because it's my first show back. Yeah, sure, sure. I've been carried away here. G'day, guys. Liam here. Neeson. No, Toyota. No, you're Liam Neeson from Invercargill. having chips, cheese, and salsa. Nachos. So like almost nachos, but not.
42:43Keyzie:Without the meat. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that feels a bit blank to me.
42:49Jase:Right. It sounds quite yummy if it was all melted and everything, but it's like a slob's dinner. Yeah. If I could put it like that. Yeah. Like you wouldn't find that. That in Europe. No, definitely not. I was going to say at my house. Oh, right. Not in Europe.
43:03Mogey:Now that you mention it, I didn't see that in Europe. No.
43:06Keyzie:Not one. What kind of chips?
43:09Mogey:Like potato?
43:10Keyzie:Like corn chips or hot chips? No.
43:14Mogey:Because then that's different. It says here corn chips. Oh. That's what he said.
43:20Jase:Mm-hmm.
43:21Mogey:G'day, fellas. Kate here.
43:24Jase:Oh, Kate Middleton.
43:26Mogey:Bush.
43:28Jase:Middleton.
43:30Mogey:Hell, because you were just over there, over in Buckingham Palace,
43:33Keyzie:weren't you there? Yeah, yep, yep.
43:36Mogey:Kate Middleton, she's having spag bowl tonight. So it's crazy, even though they're royals.
43:42Jase:They seem like they're so different, but really they're just people, Jase. That's what you find when you go to Europe. They're just people. Yeah, yeah. Sure.
43:50Keyzie:I think I'd be pretty intimidated at first, but I hear you.
43:54Mogey:Yeah, yeah, yeah. You simply must go over there, Jase. One more text.
44:00Jase:I don't know if we've got time.
44:01Keyzie:In your own time, man. Well, hang on.
44:03Mogey:Mike's saying we don't have time, and you're saying it. So should I read another text or not? Yeah, please. All right, here we go. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy.
44:14Keyzie:Yes, indeed, the Foo Fighters here on the radio. Hauraki Big Show this Monday afternoon. But right now, oh.
44:22Jase:We're off to find the brewery of the day. Yeah.
44:28Keyzie:Now, wait. Wait. It's down, not up. What do you mean?
44:33Jase:Tell us how to sing a song, man.
44:35Keyzie:We were talking about this the other day, how we were always screwing it up. Someone would go up, someone would go down at the end of the little tune. The ditty there.
44:42Mogey:Brewery of the day. But no, the Metallica song, Hero of the Day, it goes up. Yeah, but it's not a Metallica song. Well, it is. It's based off Hero of the Day. Fine. Hey, fellas, you want to hear?
44:57Jase:Guys, guys, guys, it's not fine.
44:58Mogey:No, no, that's fine if that's how you want to do it. We just got them back. Just got them back, man. I'm just going to go back to Spain if you're going to read. I'm going to go back to Tuscany. It's going to be like this, man. Yeah. Could you? Do you want to hear about the brewery of the day, man? Sure. Hey, it's time to say good day to our mates at Moffat Beach Brewing.
45:15Jase:Never heard of them.
45:16Mogey:And Coolum Beer Co. And that's because they are from the Sunshine Coast in Australia. Oh, Australia. Australia? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So Moffat Beach Brewing is award-winning and wildly popular. And Coolum Beer Company brings community spirit and coastal flavour to every brew. Both those companies are going to be at Bear Varner, so let's show them some Kiwi love, eh, fellas?
45:38Keyzie:Oh, backbone. There's going to be about 300 separate brewers there, fellas. Is there really? Yeah, separate. Which is quite amazing when you think about it. There's a lot of them around. Brewers? Yeah. Of the day? Of the day. Yeah, yeah.
45:52Mogey:The 22nd and 23rd of August, of course, at Sky Stadium down at Wellington. Tickets from bearvana.co.nz. That is happening next week, and we are doing a live show from Wellington. Oh, yes. On the Thursday there at one of the - Parrot Dog. Parrot Dog, that's the one. Down there in Lyle Bay there. Which is cool. A cracking joint. Cracking joint. So if you're in the Wellington area, you want to see the big show live next Thursday, I believe, 4 p.m., come down.
46:12Jase:I hope my sinusitis is all sorted by then because then I can get back on the darts. Yeah, man.
46:20Mogey:God, this is a tune. Have you heard this, man? The Clash. Is this a new one? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy.
46:31Keyzie:You two there on the radio, Hauraki Big Show this beautiful Monday evening.
46:37Mogey:Fellas, you know I love my wife, eh? Yeah, man. Totally. Yeah. She does this thing, though, where she's always going, Ow! And so I'm over nothing. And so now I'm sort of numb to her getting injured because she's getting injured every day. And then I'm like, what happened? And she'd be like, oh, my sock got caught.
46:55Jase:Yeah, it's kind of like my six-year-old.
46:57Mogey:Yeah, very similar.
46:58Jase:Yeah.
47:00Mogey:And so she injured herself while we were on holiday and I didn't respond in a particularly caring way.
47:08Keyzie:Sure. Because you were over it, you said, off air, just the constant whining and complaining.
47:13Jase:You said that spending three weeks together really exposed the cracks in the relationship.
47:19Mogey:Far as you said. You really forget what it's like doing a radio show. Until you're back in it. Yes. I did say all that stuff. But the reason why, and it was while her brother who we were visiting, he was there as well. And the way she injured herself, she injured her head. And she even said she might have a small concussion, right? So that's no laughing matter.
47:40Jase:No. Wow.
47:41Mogey:Wow, exactly. The way she hurt her head was I was loading stuff into the car. She was hopping in, in the back seat. Then I heard this, like, thud. And then I heard her go, ow. I was like, shit, what happened? And she's like, oh, I shut my head in the door. And I was like, how the hell do you even do that? And it turns out she actually hurt herself and her jaw, when she was eating food for the rest of the trip, it was sore the whole time.
48:09Keyzie:And you were saying off air, it was clicking constantly. It was driving you batty.
48:12Mogey:It was driving me batty. But how do you jam your head in the door, right? That doesn't deserve sympathy. Had she had a few pinots? No. Okay. 100 % sober. Yeah, we're just coming back from the beach one afternoon.
48:25Jase:She's got a melon on her, though.
48:28Keyzie:Does that?
48:30Mogey:She's got a huge head, yeah.
48:32Keyzie:Can I just make the point, though?
48:33Mogey:It's in proportion to a huge body.
48:34Keyzie:Because I noticed with your wife on her Insta, she likes to post a lot of you injuring yourself, like pulling a hammy, the old fellas, you know? Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I mean? So is it like a competition between the two of you? Who's the most injured or hurt?
48:50Mogey:No, no. No, well, the thing is she likes to put stuff up about me pretending I'm old and being injured. Like, I'm just hamming it up. I'm actually sweet as. Yeah, yeah. I'm actually right as rain. You're just a machine. Whereas she's just a klutz. Like, how do you – and then she's really sore, and I feel sorry for her because it's still sore, but the way she did it was so stupid.
49:07Jase:But did you feel sorry for her? No. Yeah. Yeah.
49:11Mogey:How do you do it, though?
49:12Jase:Well, yeah, I don't know, man.
49:17Mogey:The Hauraki Big Show Podcast.
49:27Keyzie:Dadoosh. Well, I tell you what, fellas, this has been great having you back.
49:31Mogey:Yeah.
49:32Keyzie:The full show again, it does genuinely feel like ages. Yeah. Flew by for me. Oh, it flew by for you, fellas. Well, it flew by for me and Pugsun too, actually. You were saying you hated it. It was a bit cold and nippy, but we had a great old time. Now, the podcast outro, which is bonus material we do, it's like a warm-up to the show. What's the clip today, Keezy? Yeah.
49:55Mogey:It says something about the best holiday here, so it's probably about me or Mike talking about our holiday. We walked off the plane.
50:05Jase:I got carried off on the shoulders of all the other travellers because I did such a great holiday.
50:11Mogey:Is that what they do?
50:12Jase:Wow. Yeah, you just sort of tell everyone about your holiday, and they're like, oh, my God, that's the best holiday anyone's ever had. Yes. Yeah.
50:19Mogey:But when we walked out of the airport, Lucy and I were both like... Did you have to walk out? Holy f***, yes. Nah, because we didn't have a good holiday.
50:27Keyzie:And then you were saying when you arrived home, Mogi, there were people cheering in the terminal there as you came through.
50:33Jase:When I came out, you know, when you come out after you've had your arrival there and you come out and there's all the people waiting for you, the All Blacks were there and they did a haka for me. Oh, wow. Which one?
50:43Mogey:Kapua Panga or Kamate?
50:44Jase:Nah, Kamate. Oh, wow. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Powerful stuff, man. It was an honour. And something I'll not soon forget. If you ever get the chance to have the All Blacks challenge you with a harker, Jase, you simply must. You simply must try it.
50:58Keyzie:Yeah, I'll definitely try it. Now, listen, go and check out our Instagram. Actually, thinking about our latest video, don't go and look at the Instagram. It's filthy. Yeah, don't look at it. Also, check out the podcasts. A lot going on there until tomorrow. See you later. Bye.
