In short
The “Magic Files” are a full-show recap from the NRL Magic Round in Brisbane, focused on the New Zealand Warriors’ huge win over the Brisbane Broncos (42-12). While Jace, Mike and Keyzie are often busy for the NRL Magic Round, here's Angie Gray on Radio Horaki. Yeah, g'day, you mad bastards. Always wanted to say that on the radio. The Horaki Big Show fellas, Jace, Mike, Kesey, are, I believe, going to be winging their way back, not too far off, from the NRL Magic Round in Brisbane. Cheers to Boystrip.co.nz. It looks like they had one heck of a time. And of course, being that the wa's won, it's massive. I mean, being the lovely guys they are, they're not leaving us wanting.
0:44the recorded and released, unbelievably, the Magic Files. So that's leading up from the Sunday before the massive win for the WARS, and we'll find out how they are feeling the next day. I'm going to try and get one of them on the line before they jump on the flight too. Also coming up, got the mutton birds, we've got the chillies. The Big Show today, of course, brought to you by Toledo's because we're adults, we are hydrating responsibly. Apparently, here's Green Day on Hauraki. Happy Monday.
1:10Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. Yeah, go the Kiwis for this 18th day of New Zealand Music Month, the Mutton Birds, Dominion Road on Hauraki. Angie here filling in for the Hauraki Big Show fellas, but very kindly for us, they released the magic files from the magic round over in Brisbane. They started recording yesterday pre all the carnage before they knew that the Warriors were going to absolutely take it home.
1:35Keyzie:Oh, g'day, fellas. Fellas. How are you going, team? How's everyone, you know, holding up in the old brizzy town? Hello.
1:44Mike Minogue:Well, okay. I mean, for context, this is the third day of the trip and we're about to go and get stuck in with the Warriors fans. Yeah. Are you excited by the prospect, you know,
1:57Keyzie:because the Warriors are coming up? You may not be feeling great right now, fellas, but are you excited about the idea that you can get back into it with the Warriors? I actually don't feel that bad I had a great day yesterday I went out and had some food some delicious food, Jase you would have loved it Italian joint with a mate went and did that then went and had a sauna and a spa I was a little bit worried about a cardiac arrest Yes, did you do the ice bath, did you? And I was worried about that because I'd had a few margaritas by that point and then we went to a bar called Mr Percival's Under the Bridge and just drank margaritas for the rest of the day Yes.
2:36Got home, got to bed about midnight, which isn't terrible. It's not terrible. And actually, I feel all right, even though my voice is completely cooked. But, yeah, I'm actually feeling really good.
2:46Mike Minogue:What about you, Kesey? How are you going? Yeah, no, I'm feeling all good. Yesterday was a tricky situation because, obviously, Jase, you refused to leave your room and Moe just went missing. Yeah. And so, you know. I did not go missing. We had a call from the boss being like, who's actually going to the game? Is anyone actually going to the league? And then me and Pugs were like, look, we'll take this bullet for the fellas. We'll head over to Caxton Street and to the old Suncorp there and get stuck in. Yes. So that's exactly what we did. Good on you, mate. You're a backbone. How many games did you get through there, man?
3:18Mike Minogue:Two. Oh. Two games. We went to Caxton for the afternoon one and watched that from the car park there. Holy ****, it's so intense there. It is intense.
3:28Keyzie:Like the whole time. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, that's true. Which is really why I sort of try to avoid it. You know what I'm saying? Yeah. Are you excited for today, Jas? Yeah, I am excited, actually. What I'm excited about, I'm excited about the game, not the before and after. Right. You know what I mean? I am genuinely excited about the game. I think it's going to be a cracker. I also think the Broncos are going to pump the Warriors. That's my prediction. The part that I enjoy about that is I know that at least it's based on zero knowledge of the game. Exactly. It just feels like, you know, because the expectation's there that we should beat these guys, whereas in previous occasions, the expectation was, oh, we're going to get pumped.
4:08Keyzie:And so it was like, when we won, amazing. Yeah. Right, okay. I think there's a difference between thinking we're going to win and thinking we're going to lose and wanting us to lose, Jase. Oh, no. I want the fellas to win. No, you don't. You hate the Warriors. I totally want the Warriors to win. I'd be gutted if they lose. And on paper, they should. And also, the Broncos, you know, a few injuries, even though it's their home turf, their home patch. Who are they missing? Oh, some really key players. But I tell you what, let's stop it there and we'll come back again. OK. I'm going to try and catch up with the fellas live, actually, and give them a phone call.
4:42Last I heard, they were too busy to talk because they were having a feed, soaking it up responsibly. They'll be needing some Toledos, no doubt, on the way home. I'm going to spin you the black piece not too far off. Here's one for the Chillies, the Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie on Hauraki. Kia ora.
4:58Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki. Like Keezy, tighten up on Hauraki with Angie. A terrible joke to make whilst I'm hosting the big show. How are you, Keezy? G'day, Angie. Yeah, I'm going surprisingly well this morning. Quite chipper. I don't know whether it's just sort of, I don't know, like a second wind or whether it's because the Waz absolutely did a number on the Broncos. I'm not sure. I feel like it's, maybe it's both, but I feel like it's the latter. I feel like you're buoyed up by the energy of what went on last night. Yeah, absolutely.
5:35Mike Minogue:It was a huge result. And it was not one that I saw coming. I sort of thought we could get the win, but it'll be quite close. I was being quite pessimistic, even. And then for them to come in and absolutely towel up the locals, who are also the defending champions. I mean, this is the thing. Well, hey, how many WAZ fans were in the crowd? Because it looked like it was loads. Yeah, it was ridiculous. We've come for three years in a row now, and that was by, not by far, but every year it's massive. And we do a big march down to the stadium, but this year it's out bigger than ever. Some of the funniest stuff I've seen happening at the stadium as well, like they went through the team lists and every time, over the, you know, they saw loudspeaker at the stadium there and they'd named a fillback for the Broncos and then they'd named a fillback for the Wars.
6:22Mike Minogue:And every time they named a Broncos player, what felt like the whole stadium would boo. and this is their stadium. And then whenever they named a Waz player, the whole stadium would cheer. It was very funny. So you know what was amazing to see is when you look, you know, like in news stories, all those old school Queensland pubs, you know, the sports bars, that instead of like Bronco signage or whatever, it's like Nat of Waz jerseys lined up with, you know, the 4X sign in the background. It's amazing. It is amazing. It really is. And I keep saying this, but like if there's anyone, if you're even vaguely interested in sport and maybe you've got some mates who live over in Aussie or whatever and you haven't seen them for a while, use Magic Round as an excuse to all meet up because it is the best three days you can possibly have.
7:05Mike Minogue:Oh, it sounds like you had a belt. Everyone used to talk about the sevens in Wellington, which were awesome. But this is just on a whole other level. It's amazing. Oh, Wicked. Well, it sounds like you had a great time. Do you think you're going to make the flight okay this time? No, we've learned from last time. They've put us on a 5 p.m. flight on the Monday afterwards. so there's no chance of us missing this one. Unless we were to go on a 48-hour bender after the Warriors won then there's no chance that we will miss this one. Hey, I mean, strange things have happened. All right, I'm going to let you go.
7:37I might try and catch up with Minogue before you guys board that plane.
7:41Mike Minogue:Yep, sounds like a plan. By the way, loved the Black Keys joke, right? You nailed it. Promise not to do any more dad jokes for the rest of the show. Well, can I promise that? Of course I am putting people in the draw to get your mitts on one of those super sexy looking street dog electric motorbikes. Join the Sons of Hauraki, the North or the South Island chapter, because we've got two bikes to give away. You're listening up for your cue to call. Here's Radiohead. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Kesey. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki. Lady Hawk on Hauraki, my delirium. The Sons of Hauraki Gotta live this life Let's see who wants to ride with the street dogs Hello Hauraki G'day Who am I talking to?
8:31Keyzie:Hayden Hayden, where are you calling from pal? Napier Alright, so you'd be North Island's chapter if you joined our gang Have you ever gone and joined a bike gang on the off chance? No, no I know people that have gone riding Yeah, yeah And they're motorbike gangs, and it's quite the intimidating sound. How do you reckon you'd fare on an electric bike?
8:54Mike Minogue:Yeah, yeah, I've got a motorbike license myself, but yeah. Oh, wicked. So the Street Dog XR would be your pick then?
9:02Keyzie:Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, Hayden. Well, if you reckon you might look pretty sweet and leather, then I'll all throw you in the drawer. Oh, awesome. Thanks so much. More chances for you to get in the drawer and the show to get your mitts on one of our two street dog electric bikes. I'll be catching up with the Hauraki Big Show fellas, not too far off. Reporting live from Brizzy after the NRL magic round. We're playing the magic files back real soon. Here's a tune for the strokes. Last night. What about last night, eh?
9:35Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey. Zeppelin on Hauraki Black Dog. Kia ora, Angie here. I've been filling in for the Hauraki Big Show fellas. Whilst they've been off larkin' about at the NRL Magic Round. And Brizzy, cheers to boystrip.co.nz. Now, before the game yesterday, the massive win, the Waz of the Broncos, they recorded the magic files for us.
9:58Keyzie:You're welcome back. You're massive backbones. It's the fellas here in Brizzy. And I believe, Keezy, that you want to make a formal apology.
10:08Mike Minogue:Yeah, well, look, you know, we are currently, it's day three, just about to go to the Waz pre-game build-up, a.k.a. the pub. We're in Pugs' room. We're all in a bit of a state, and I didn't realise I actually swore. Yes. In that last break. You did.
10:21Keyzie:So I'd like to apologise. Well, I was really confused, like Mogie was, because I thought, are we doing a podcast or is this for the radio? Yeah, totally. I mean, I know BSA standards have got a little bit slack, fellas,
10:30Mike Minogue:but you can't be dropping F-bombs all over the place, Giz. Completely didn't even realise where we were. I don't even remember when I said it. What did I say? Was I talking about having lots of beers? Lots of beers, yeah. Going to Caxton Street and lots of beers or something along those lines. You really underlined it. Yes.
10:44Keyzie:I was saying the car part was full on. Yeah. Even full on. Yeah. Oh, did I like that? Yeah. And you didn't even blink. And then it was the racial slurs that followed as well. Yeah, yeah. Oh, okay. Really bad. That wasn't great, but I decided to overlook that time.
10:58Mike Minogue:Well, I've got to say, I've spent a lot of time, Jase, and I'm glad you're coming out with us today because... Well, I'm not coming out. Come on, Jase. Are you?
11:05Keyzie:I'm not coming out. I'm going to the McBalook.
11:09Mike Minogue:Well, when you say that, you mean you're not coming out to Caxton Street with us?
11:11Keyzie:Well, look, I'm going to the game. Can I do that?
11:14Mike Minogue:Do you have no idea how many people? I've been Hounder Pugs is here, by the way. Hello, how are you? Ooh, it's Pugs. Bam, bam, bam. The amount of people that are just like, where's Mogey? And I'm like, I don't know, we've lost him. He's in a bar somewhere. Oh, what about Hoody J? We're just like, he's in his room. Which isn't necessarily true. You've been going walkabout the whole time. Yes. So today, people on Caxon, they want you, man. They want you to get around them.
11:38Keyzie:I'll take it today, fellas. It's a big day. It's a big day. And, you know, and there'll be a lot of – I always get the impression that there's way more Warriors fans than any other team. You reckon that's true? Definitely. Well, especially around here because all the boys trip people are staying here. Yes. But on Caxton Street as well, it's ramped.
11:56Mike Minogue:On Caxton Street, yeah. So I pretty much did promise that Mogi and Hoagie J will be Caxton Street car park after the Waz game and having a big one. You know, smoking darts. You've probably been exaggerating there, Casey. I don't know, man.
12:10Keyzie:I'll be straight in the Uber back home after the game. You know what I mean? Well, we've got a big flight tomorrow. I can't be going up to all hours. Come on, Jase, man. You've got to stay out with the people, man.
12:20Mike Minogue:You need to get a good sleep because you've got a big flight. It's a big flight. It's three hours. It is. And it's not until 5 p.m. We'll be sweet as, Jase. But you can borrow my Waz jersey, man, and whatever you need. We'll get you out there to Caxton, and, yeah, we'll have a big one. We'll do a little photo booth. Lord Alfred's. A little photo booth there. We should talk about the plan next, though. Shall we talk about the plan next about what we've got on after we finish doing this? Yeah, okay, sounds good. All right, more of that nonsense coming up after the break. I'm going to try and get Minogue on the blower just before they fly back out to NZ.
12:48I've got the Hives, I've got Nirvana, and I will be putting more people in the drawer to get your mitts on one of those super rad-looking street dog electric motorbikes.
12:58Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Beat Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki. While Jace, Mike and Kesey are off and brizzy for the NRL Magic Round, here's Angie Gray on Radio Ho. Yeah, g'day. How's it going? Angie here filling in for Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue, Kesey. They are going to be winging their way back not too far off from the NRL Magic Round. Massive day yesterday. Of course, Warriors totally took out the Broncos. 42-12. About 50 ,000 WARS fans at Suncourt Stadium. It looked utterly unreal.
13:37That's Keezy, you can hear in the background. I'm going to be catching up with those manters not too far off to see how they're faring. Luckily for us, they recorded the magic files when they were over there before they knew what utter genius was going to unfold last night. So I'll play some of that back shortly. We're going to go the hives. Here's Audioslave. Hauraki afternoon.
13:58Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Keezy.

14:04Keyzie:Yeah, welcome back, you massive backbones. Hope you're all doing G in beautiful New Zealand, by the way. Doing G. Doing G. Is that what we're saying now? Now, we were talking because we are literally about an hour away, fellas, from departing for the game.
14:18Mike Minogue:What's the plan here? Yeah, well, so we're an hour away from going to the Warriors pre-drinks thing with boys' trips. So that's 12 p.m. till 2. And then the first game of the day is 2 p.m. till 4. Who's that, by the way? The Waza 4. I honestly can't remember. Knights, I think. It's the Knights Titans maybe or something like that. But basically we have to go to this thing for two hours at this pub and then go to the Lord Alfred which is the Warriors supporters pub and then walk to Suncorp with the WARS fans. They do the Hickory at 3 o 'clock. Because it's 3pm. 3 o 'clock. That's good to know. We all walk down there, Jase.
14:49Mike Minogue:At 3 o 'clock? Yeah. Yeah, okay.
14:51Keyzie:Yeah, sweet. Why are you guys looking at me like that?
14:54Mike Minogue:You said that like, okay, I'll make sure I'm not there. No, no, no.
14:57Keyzie:Well, 3 because I thought the game's going to start at 4 that people wouldn't leave till like caught to four sort of thing. And I was like, and that's really stretching me out here. Yeah. It's been organized by other people though. So we've just got to sort of latch onto it. And I'm pretty sure that we're the only team that does this.
15:12Mike Minogue:The Waz? Yeah. Yeah, 100%. It's not bad, is it?
15:14Keyzie:Which is what I mean in terms of, it just feels like the vibe is massively huge for the Waz whenever we're over here.
15:20Mike Minogue:Yeah, it really is, which is amazing. It's part, yeah, it's like Mount Smart doesn't even get this. Like Mount Smart's awesome. And you can go to the bar up there and, you know, do all sorts of stuff, but nothing compares to being here and the amount of people just walking.
15:31Keyzie:Now, just on that, by the way, fellas, I've screenshotted my ticket. So that's all GA. Well, I think the only issue you're going to run into, Jase, is that the billions of cracks running across your screen. Oh, it's more the sellotape I'm finding. Yeah. I was showing the fellas yesterday, actually, when we were walking back from dinner, my phone casing's actually coming apart now. The glass part of my phone is literally separated from my phone. That happened months ago when I was using your phone. I showed you that. Oh, did it? Yes. It's a disgrace. And you're putting these selfies up on Instagram.
16:04Keyzie:Isn't that awesome? They are top quality. Not only the framing, but the camera itself is just such an old heat.
16:12Mike Minogue:It's great, eh? I've gone from absolutely hating it to now loving it. Oh, my God. I think it's great. Horty actually shot a whole album worth of photos of me, him, and Pugsane yesterday going on a tour of Brisbane. Yeah. We'll have to upload those at some point, Pugs. Yeah, I'll put them up tomorrow. Because they all look like shit.
16:27Keyzie:There's some top quality shots in there, fellas. Come on.
16:29Mike Minogue:Yeah. Well, so what are we thinking? Should we have a few beers in Pugs's hotel room?
16:33Keyzie:Yeah.
16:34Mike Minogue:What? Why do you guys sound so fizzed up for it?
16:38Keyzie:Well, no, it's just because I felt like you were going to add more. Yeah, I was waiting for the second part. Yeah, that was it. Oh, okay. So that's your plan. So that's it. We just have some beers in Pugs's room. Well, I don't see anyone else throwing out any clas. That's the best one I've got. What about room service? We can get some wedges. Do they sell wedges? Fellas? Well, I tried to get room service, but my phone didn't work. So I feel like I've been stitched up there. They're probably toddies. Our boss back in New Zealand there has turned my phone off so I can't order anything to the room.
17:03So I'm fuming. I haven't eaten today. I haven't had a coffee. Nothing.
17:06Mike Minogue:Right, right. Well, let's get a few beers in here and then we'll go down and go to the pub there and then we'll go to the Warriors. How does that sound, man? That should fix things. What a plan. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Casey. Kia, g'day. How you doing for your Monday afternoon? Angie here. Well, evening, rather. Andrew here hanging out whilst the Hauraki Big Show fellas are just about to jump on a plane and head back from Brizzy from the NRL Magic Round. Man, boystrip.co.nz, they sure put on a heck of a trip. Here is what Jase, Mike and Keezy prepared earlier, in fact, yesterday before the game earlier, for the Magic Files.
17:44Keyzie:Yeah, welcome back, you massive backbones. The fellas are broadcasting from Pugs' hotel room in Brisbane. And I've got to say, fellas, I'm mightily impressed by how immaculate Pug San's room is. Is it a ruse, though? Did he do a big tidy up before we arrived? Because I can tell you my hotel room doesn't look anything like this. I think there's been terrible crimes committed here over the last 48 hours. Yeah. It's almost got those vibes of there's been a murder. Certainly. And I'm going to just make it immaculate and spotless.
18:15Mike Minogue:It's too clean. He's overdone. That's right. Yeah, you've got to do that.
18:19Keyzie:Yeah.
18:20Mike Minogue:It's like, yeah, Pug San. So I don't know what you've been doing. You ready for me to tag in and explain? Well, I mean, it's up to you. Sort of let us just sort of speculate for three or four minutes. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
18:29Keyzie:Because it's got real... You go. It's got real filth vibes. 100%. You know what I mean? What's the filth vibe? I've got to clean up because the fellas will find out.
18:39Mike Minogue:I think regardless of how filthy it was, I was always going to do a bit of a clean up before you guys got in here. Sure. Just due to my inherent professionalism. I do think it's funny that Mogi's the one that thinks there's crimes being committed in here and he's chosen to lie on the bed. Feet on my pillow, just by the way, just before. Yeah. Just those dogs are out. Yeah, I know that you're probably going to have your face buried in that pillow later on this evening, Pugs, so I apologise. But you've got a selection of three or four pillows that you could choose from. I've got very clean feet, Pugs.
19:10Very clean feet. That's not the problem.
19:13Keyzie:Not the problem at all. But, yeah, I definitely did that. I mean, look at those feet there, Pugs. You could eat off. Oh, I'm looking. And I would too. And I know how you feel about feet, toes and stuff. Remember my dream. You better watch yourself, actually, Mojo. You might suddenly get a bit of toe-sucking action. Otherwise, I'll be next.
19:31Mike Minogue:There was also a whole time where you were talking about my foot finish. Do you remember that, like two years ago? Yes. That's a classic. What were we saying? What? What were we saying about it? Just that I had one. Just pointing it out. Just bringing it up. Just bringing it to life.
19:42Keyzie:If you're going to have interesting hobbies, we're going to talk about them. If you're the one that's going to let us know about that stuff, you must know by now it's going to become public knowledge. You're taking an interest in my interest, and I really respect that. Exactly, and you love feet. That's all good, man. There's no judgment.
19:55Mike Minogue:Look, I did a bit of a tidy up. There's still, because of all the tech gear in here, I have said no to my room being refreshed. Because, yeah, you're not right. Just like with the laptop set up. Not even necessarily that. Just like having all this stuff out of the cords and that. But I did do a bit of a tidy up. You're saying you don't trust them. Yeah, that's it. Yeah, exactly. Why is your bin full of Connie wrappers? You know Dave from Boystreet actually gave me some Connies? Yeah. In my gift pack? Well, I did. 100 % he did. Exactly the point. We know what you're like. Why are you making it seem like that's a surprise?
20:22Mike Minogue:That's what you request every time. It's in your rider. I could just buy them when I'm at home. I know, man. We don't get it either. Cheers, fellas. So, Pugs, out of the Warriors, who has the best feet? Well, this is the thing. All their boots. I think Fisher Harris has got real mogey-type feet, like real gnarly ones. But I think someone like Dillon, who's doing big jumps, he'll have athletic feet. Right, so doing big jumps. Doing big jumps.
20:48Keyzie:He jumps over the toys.
20:50Mike Minogue:No, but you know what I mean? All the showmanship that he does, like, you know, he's very nimble. And so I think he'd probably have the best feet.
20:55Keyzie:Do you like a fat foot or a nimble foot?
20:59Mike Minogue:To be honest, Jase, I don't really discriminate. Right, you go down whatever. Whatever goes, goes, man. So if you'd hang out at the back of someone's feet from the Warriors, it'd be Dylan. Yep, yep, totally. And you can quote me on that and send that to Dave from Boystrip and we'd be stoked. I feel like it's a good time to go into this tune right here. It feels very fitting. I'm going to be catching up with Minogue, hopefully not too far off. We'll see if I can get him on the blower. Here's the hives. Walk, idiot. Walk. Oh, no, Raki. The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
21:32Keyzie:Yeah, welcome back, you're massive backbones. I'll tell you what, actually, fellas. I know I've been getting a fair amount of crap from people saying that I'm staying in my hotel room. But the truth is I've actually been, you know, exploring, Brizzy. It's a beautiful city, fellas, because, of course, the first couple of times we came here, we didn't see any of it. Absolutely none of it. Well, I didn't see anything of it. No, neither did I. We were straight from the hotel to Caxton Street to the stadium and then repeat. Yes. And I agree. I've gotten out and about it as well, and it's a bloody ripper of a joint, I've got to say.
22:04Keyzie:Well, we were talking, Moggy, yesterday about, you know, the river down there. What is it called? The brown snake. Which we kind of feel was a little bit hard. I mean, it is brown and it's foul. And it does snake its way through Brisbane. And it does snake its way through Brisbane. And it does snake its way through Brisbane. So I get the sort of...
22:19Mike Minogue:You understand the name. I understand the name. Yeah, right, yeah. Because it's a complex name to wrap your head around. It really is. Because it's a really, really brown river. Yeah. And it snakes its way through. Well, and the interesting thing about the brown snake too is everyone in Brisbane, you ask them about it and they just go, oh yeah, it sucks. And their vibe is that it sucks. What, the name sucks? No, the river sucks. Right. Everyone says that. Well, we've had a lot of Uber drivers tell us that you can't. God, we've got some great Uber drivers in this city.
22:44Keyzie:Oh my goodness. Oh, we want. Holy moly. Guy told us you can't fish in there. No, because what would you catch? Well, he said it's just too dangerous. He said where you want to fish is in the ocean. You catch big fish in the ocean.
22:59Mike Minogue:Not in the brown snake? And I was like, how good's this guy? And I've had probably every driver has been similarly open with handing out facts. They're sort of like Australia's Keseys with the facts. You sound like a good fella, isn't it? I know. Well, they've all been interesting. The smells vary greatly. And then we had a guy explaining to us that an Uber is not a taxi. You can't just jump in any one you want. No, really. You have to order it on the app. It's like, look at this guy. This guy gets it.
23:29Keyzie:We got one yesterday, Moggy, that was next level. Yeah, it was definitely the weirdest Uber I've ever been in. He had a box in the front seat. A polystyrene one. Polystyrene box. A few beers. And Pugs went to sit in the front seat and he picked it up. and then he undid the box, took everything out of it and was putting it on the dashboard and it was his medication?
23:50Mike Minogue:Yes, it was his medication. He had ice packs in there and so I offered to put it underneath my feet but he refused, probably trying to be courteous, I suppose. And so he opens the polystyrene box, pulls out paper-wrapped ice packs and then pulls out eye drops and puts in eye drops. And we're sitting there waiting to go. Puts in the eye drops. He probably needed them to drive, so I'm grateful he did. and then the whole ride he was trying to balance where he put the polystyrene box and he tried to put it under his legs at one stage. He was twitching out of control. He tried to put it under his legs, tried to put it on the centre console and so he's got an elbow on it like this trying to hold it and it's just squeak, squeak, squeak.
24:26Mike Minogue:You know how polystyrene goes. Jase, your sort of diagnosis of the situation was that you think that he was maybe having withdrawals or something.
24:35Keyzie:Yes, he definitely had withdrawal vibes.
24:38Mike Minogue:And he was twitching and moving a lot and it was very sketchy and he didn't want pugs anywhere near that box and I went on a smooth, beautiful, smooth trip. Got there in one, wow, yeah. I was just, I was looking at my phone trying to just concentrate and I had my map open on our hotel just to make sure we were going the right way. Yeah. But definitely, yeah, I'd never experienced anything like that before.
24:55Keyzie:It was the most uncomfortable Uber I think I've ever had. I would agree. And you were in the front seat with him so it was even worse for you, Pugs. Oh, 100%. My brother-in-law got a ride to the pub last night and it was taking ages to get there and my brother-in-law had to ask him, Are you a good man? And the guy goes, no, actually, can you look it up on your phone? Oh, wow, so he didn't know where he was going. Nah, so you had to, it's like, do you live here? Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I just have to be easier if you do it on your phone. That's so weird. What the hell's going on? I don't think I've had one normal Uber ride.
25:23Mike Minogue:Far out. Well, there you go. Uber madness. Nice, Jase. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue, and Kesey. Nevada doing Bowie, the man who sold the world on Hauraki. Angie here filling in for the big show, fellas. So I've managed to track down one Mr. Mike Minogue. I'm amazed you're in one piece after the carnage that went on last night. Yeah, well, look, it's been a hell of a weekend. Day three, done a dust and we're just sort of dusting ourselves off of a slight ride home this afternoon. But yeah, it was a hell of a weekend. I think we paced it pretty well. Every other time we've done it, we felt the obligation to go as hard as possible until all hours in the morning, but this time we kept it a little bit more sane.
26:10But, yeah, geez, I think it might be a young man's game. I think it might be, Angie. I'm surprised, though, mate, because last time you went, you know, you've gone rogue a few times after the wins, and so this time, you're just used to it by now. Well, this time it was, I guess the big one was, with the Penrith won the first time, we thought we were going to lose. And so when we won, it was like all of our Christmases had come at once. And also I had just the right amount of beer. just at that period where you think you're a superhero, Angie. You know, if it was you, you might start dancing on bar tops or stuff like that.
26:42But for us, we cancel flights and drink for another 12 hours. So this time around, we thought we were going to win and we smashed them. And it was great because it was 4 o 'clock in the afternoon. The game finished. It started pouring down with rain. And all of a sudden, the last three days sort of washed over me. And I thought, you know what, I might go to bed. You've been reborn. Oh, that's amazing. That's unreal. So this time you will be catching your flight. Good to know. Who do you reckon held up the best at a B3 fellas? Oh, well, Hoity J, obviously, because he didn't get involved really at all.
27:15He did a little tour around the city. He went and looked at, weirdly, he went and looked at, he was meant to be doing like a tour of culture. Yeah, I saw his wanderings. Yeah, he looked at the brown snake and a couple of rocks, but outside of that, I don't know. I don't know how much culture he actually got into him, although I spent a lot of time at various Asian shops getting noodle soup. So maybe that counts or something. Interesting, interesting. All right, then the last two standing then, yourself and Keezy, do you reckon your voice probably sounds a little better than Keezy's, I reckon? Yeah, well, I think we sort of both, we all sort of came out around about feeling about it the same way.
27:54Last night, we went to afters at somebody's house and it just got a bit depressing. You know when you go to people's houses and it's that white fluorescent light? Oh, it's wrong. And it's just like, you know what? Yeah, I think we're dusted here. So, yeah, I think we've all had bloody good sleeps. But Keezy, you know what he's like. He gets a bit nasally. So he'll be needing the rest of the week off to recover. But, hey, the great thing being, you know, sponsored by Toledo is you can be grown-ups and hydrate and feel like a box of birds. Well, that's right. That's the first thing I'll be doing when I get home is ripping into some Toledo.
28:25And a huge thanks to Boystrip. If anybody out there is thinking about coming along to Magic Ground, don't think about it. just do it I think pretty sure you can go to boystrip.co.nz now and registrations are open already for next year when we first started this three years ago we had 20 people come on the trip this year it sold out at 120 and it's just going to get bigger and bigger and bigger it is just the craziest experience being at the ground for those Warriors games it's out the gate make room because I'm coming next time you've got to get along what's that? yeah I said make room because I'm going to come along next time you've sold it totally sold it choice well here's one for you if you're driving home right now, damn, this is a good driving tune.
29:02Although if you are stuck in traffic, you're just going to have to blast it while you're going nowhere. Queen to the Stone Age, first to give it. Hauraki.
29:09Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki. Weezer El Scorch 2 on Hauraki. I'm Angelina. How you doing? And I'm going to put another great New Zealander in the draw. The Sons of Hauraki. Gotta live this life. Let's see who wants to ride with the street dogs. Who am I talking to? Steve. Steve, where are you calling from, buddy? Christchurch. Steve and Christchurch. Yay, I finally get to put somebody in the South Island chapter. Do you have a bike or have you ridden bikes before? I don't have a bike, but I've just got my learner licence. Oh, like your learner bikes licence.
29:47Choice.
29:47Mike Minogue:Yeah. All right, so you'd be up for then getting the old street dog XR if you managed to win a bike. Absolutely. Wicked. Do you wear leather occasionally? Leather? Yeah. I'm sure. I feel like these days you don't really see it so much, people just strolling down the streets, depending on where you live, maybe what nightclubs you go to. But in the meantime, mate, I'll throw you in the drawer.
30:13Keyzie:That sounds great. Best of luck to you. Thank you so much. You know Steve is putting on his leather pants as we speak. Just like Bono in the music video clip that this tune right gets you two to fly. Going to go up to monkeys. And more from the Big Show fellas from The Magic Files coming up there real soon on Hauraki. Shoot. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey. You're welcome back, you massive backbones. Just to remind you, we're recording this from Pugsans Hotel Room before the WARS game. It's a couple of hours away, fellas.
30:52Mike Minogue:Yeah, Sunday morning, we're about to go to the big WARS build-up function put on by Boys Trip, and then we'll go up to the Lord Alfred Pub and join in the big hikoi, the big walk down Caxon Street to the stadium with thousands of Warriors fans. Mogi, in terms of the footy itself today, we're taking on the Brisbane Broncos, defending premiers, obviously missing a lot of cattle. And, Jase, you'd be able to list off a few names there as to who they're missing. Yeah, I could. Yeah, you're absolutely right there, Keezy. And it's a biggie. we've had some bad experiences playing at Suncorp. You remember a couple of years ago in one of the semi I think the elimination final the elimination final I should say.
31:30The preliminary put together. The preliminary we got absolutely done by the Broncos. And so not great memories and I believe that the last time we played the Metcalf that's when he did his ACL.
31:45Mike Minogue:Oh was that that game? Yeah. He's got a good memory. Yeah, and the time before that, Mecca kicked a 50-meter kennel to go. Oh, right. To beat them. And the other thing with the Broncos too, which we forget, is that obviously the Reece Walsh leaving the Warriors to go to the Broncos saga there. There was a bit of bad blood, although not too bad because we had Charles Nichol Kluxstar, but there's going to be a lot of feeling in this game. The number one fan base at Magic Ground are the Warriors fans. Number two, probably the Broncos. So the stadium is going to be absolutely packed. It'll be pumping.
32:15Mike Minogue:the word on the street, Caxton Street, is that the games have been okay. They've been a bit rubbishy. Blowouts. Blowouts. And the NRL's intentionally chosen just kind of random games that don't mean anything because they know it's going to be a packed house regardless. Yeah. But everyone is circling this Warriors-Broncos game as the big one. And since we've been here, the Warriors have won two on the trot, firstly taking down the Panthers and then taking down the Cowboys as well. The Warriors get up for Magic Round, man, which I like.
32:41Keyzie:Yeah. Well, this is my concern though, fellas. They have in the past got up for it in these last two matches. Why do you hate the Warriors, Jase? But my vibe is, and I'm going to stick by it, I'm afraid. And if I'm made to look a fool, so be it.
32:55Mike Minogue:All right, let's do another bet. We like doing bets here on the show.
32:59Keyzie:My bet is that the Broncos are going to beat us 13+.
33:03Mike Minogue:Right, okay, so massive blowout. Yeah. How about this? If the Broncos win, Jase, you get to go straight home from Suncorp and do whatever you want.
33:11Keyzie:I'll be doing that regardless.
33:12Mike Minogue:Nah, but if the Warriors win, you, me, Mogi, Pugsan, we hit Caxon and we are there until they kick us out. And we go hard. You guys can represent. No, no, no. We've been doing it for two days already. We're exhausted from doing it. We need you to show face. So do you want to accept that? I'm just showing face before the game. Oh, wow. You're so lucky. You're going to be there. Okay, so you're going Warriors Broncos 13+. I'm actually going to go a closer game, Mogi. A highest scoring affair. I'm going to go Warriors like 28 to 22 or something like that. Right. But Warriors 12 and under. I think we're going to pump them.
33:44That would be nice. I'm going 40 to 10. I would love that. I'm going to blow out because I just think, you know, the Broncos are really missing their props. Their forward pack is decimated. Their middles are a disgrace. We've got Mitch Barnett back. I think we are going to just blow them off the park.
34:00Mike Minogue:And the other thing too is guys like Mitch Barnett will be wanting to make a case with Origin selections just around the corner. So, Jase, 13 plus Broncos. Yes. Mogi, 13 plus Warriors. Yeah. Me, 12 and under Warriors. lock it in and pugs. 13 plus Warriors. Oh, okay, yeah. It'll do it. Well, that's our predictions going into the game and we might meet up tomorrow, fellas, and do a bit of a debrief once the game's actually happened. The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey. You two's The Fly on Hauraki with Angie. They are preparing to release a brand new album. They're first with new material in nine years.
34:36Larry Mullen Jr., the drummer, is back in action. So let's watch this space. I mean, the Rolling Stones, just released new music. Have you seen their latest music video? I thought it was AI Man. They've got actors in to play the Stones circa, I don't know, maybe in the 60s. The actors are dead ringers. I got suck it in. That is one to go and check out. In the meantime, we are checking out Mike Minogue, Keezy and Jason Hoyt, how they were faring this morning after a massive night at the NRL Magic Round.
35:05Keyzie:Well, welcome back, you massive backbones. This is day two of our broadcast, And we're doing it once again in Pugsans' room, and it absolutely reeks in here of activity of some description. I don't want to speculate what that is, but it is the Monday morning, the day after the big match, fellas. By jeez, what a cracking game of rugby league that was, eh? Yeah, it was quite the experience, wasn't it? We went to the boys' trip set up for a couple of hours, 120 plus. Yeah, 120, 130? Yeah, jammed into this tiny little room. I think Boys Trip got stitched up a little bit because they had one person working on the bar.
35:46Keezer, you thought he might have been a glassy. Yeah, definitely. He definitely wasn't used to running bar. He was high stress, low skill. Yeah, yeah. But then they sent in a couple of others and the beer started flowing. What's a glassy? Somebody just goes around and collects glasses. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right. And then we went from there and we went up to the Lord Alfred, did the Hickoy, the Hickoy of Hate, where all of the Warriors fans marched down Caxton Street to the stadium and booed at people. It's been sort of a change, it feels like, in the... Do you reckon? In the Waz fandom. I'm not a super big fan of it.
36:17Keyzie:Well, and I'll be honest with you, Mogi saved my life, apparently. I did. Completely unbeknownst to Hoity J, someone from the crowd as we were walking down hurled a full can of beer at my head. Yeah. And I didn't even realise, and old Mogi plucked it out of the air. Are you kidding? No. No, I turned around and these guys were shouting, Hoity J, Hoity J. and then this guy just threw this can. And it wasn't a lob, put it to you that way. What an arsehole. And I just, yeah, Kiwis. And I stuck the left hand out and it just stuck in my mitt. And the cheers went up from the crowd there, as it always does when mogies walking down the street.
36:53When mogies in town. And they started telling me to scull it and I was just telling them to go F themselves.
37:01Keyzie:Well, it's kind of alarming to hear that someone was trying to scum me with a fourth hand. Yeah, that's right. But it was one of those things where I actually talked to, I talked to a guy later on who was with that guy, and he goes, oh, I'm so glad you caught it. It was one of those things where you do something stupid in the heat of the moment. Yeah. You know, like when you used to throw rocks at seals, Kesey, and then all of a sudden one had hit them, and you'd be like, oh, I'm not so bad about that.
37:20Mike Minogue:100%. I didn't know it was a puppy. You know what I mean?
37:22Keyzie:Well, imagine if it had smashed me in the head and bloody split blood everywhere, and bloody, it would have been a nightmare. Oh, we would have almost missed the game. It would have been hilarious. What is it called? The Royal Albert? Yeah. Prince Albert. Oh, Prince Albert. The Lord Alfred. Alfred. The old Alfred. It's just too much for Hoere J. Yeah. I couldn't. It's a pub, by the way. I just cannot do it. It is jammed to the gunnels. It was amazing. Literally to the gunnels. So I just went out on the street and just, you know. Got battered by back bars. Well, got battered by people and photos and so.
37:56Keyzie:But it was fine because, you know, everyone was having a good time. But you're right, actually. There is this strange vibe of booing, et cetera, et cetera, which is going on.
38:05Mike Minogue:Yeah. The vibe definitely shifted a wee bit, but I think it was because it was the Broncos. Yeah, I hope that is what it was. I liked it when we got to the ground on the booing start, and we'll get to that maybe in the next break, but it was when we were at the pub and Broncos fans had walked past and the Warriors were booing them. I'm not really into it. Yeah, no, because the vibe is, and there's a few videos of scraps and stuff this year. Yeah, 100%. So it's like, oh, the vibe's starting to shift here. Magic ground was all about. Well, I hope it's not because of New Zealand fans. Well, hearing that they threw a can at Horty J's head, although we were running a full can at Hoody J and get a free backbone shirt comp.
38:37Mike Minogue:Oh, God. We didn't tell you about that. But we'll come back and actually talk about the game next. We're here. Yeah. All right. I will play that conversation back after these short messages alongside putting more people in the draw for the Sons of Hauraki Club giving away two Street Dog electric motorbikes. I've got Soundgarden in there too and Skid Row. Yeah. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki. While Jace, Mike and Kesey are off and brizzy for the NRL magic round, here's Angie Gray on Radio Ho. Thank you. G'day, you mad bastards. How are you?
39:13You know what, I never used to get to be able to say that in the day show. I would get told off or fired or something. So it's nice to be in the hot seat while the Big Show fellas are away. I can get away with a lot more. Tell you what, when Kesey gets back, can someone have a word to him about the state of his headphones? Revolting. I'm going to be playing back more of the big show's magic files that they have very kindly prepared earlier for us. The files continue from what went down this morning in Pakistan's hotel room after the massive win from the Waz last night against the Broncos. That was absolute scenes.
39:48So many Waz fans. Also putting more people on the draw to get your mitts, hands, laughing gear wrapped around one of those street dog electric motorbikes. Right here, though, we're going to take things down a little bit. There we go, that's better. To ease you into your drive home. Perhaps you're just pulling up into the driveway. It's Soundgarden's Fallon Black Days on Hauraki. Evening.
40:14Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey. Kings of Leon on call on Hauraki with Angie. The Big Show fellas have been living La Vida Loca over in Brizzy for the NRL Magic Round. Thank you, boystrip.co.nz. I'm amazed that this time around, I think they've learnt their lessons. Everything seems under control. Here's one they prepared earlier for the magic files from Pugs Sands Hotel Room earlier this morning.
40:40Keyzie:You're welcome back, you massive backbones. Well, it's the fellas, and we're recording in Pugs Sands Hotel Room Monday morning, and the match itself, fellas, an absolute doozy.
40:51Mike Minogue:It was incredible, Jase. It was incredible. You know, it started a bit iffy with Tanner Boyd. sort of going to do a sidestep. He's the halfback for the Waz and he's been a huge part of why we've been so successful this season. An innocuous sort of sidestep immediately started hopping on the spot. And, you know, if you've watched Rugby League, you've seen it enough times to know that's his ACL on his knee. That's him done for about nine months. So that's the season over for Tanner Boyd, which is a huge loss. But as a full testament to the Waz this season, Tamari Martin came back on. I forgot we had Tamari Martin.
41:19Mike Minogue:I didn't, but, you know, it's just been so long. He comes out, looks hot. He's such a good looking guy. It's an absolute joke. I mean, if he's smiled at me, the way he was smiling after scoring tries and putting blokes over the line, I'll be Kesey all fours over my shoulder. What does that even mean? But for Tamari to come in and instantly, and then the ways to dominate the premiership winners from last season, the Broncos, was amazing. And Tamari Moni coming in off the back of a broken leg, which he suffered in the Indigenous game at the start of the year, has had one warm-up game, I think, in the lower grades, then went into the bye and then had this game and had an absolute blinder.
41:52But in terms of atmosphere, It's probably one of the best ones I've ever been to. You know, at the start of the game, they bring up the players from each team, sort of one by one, one by one. And it was absolutely a New Zealand home game. It was hilarious. So you get a Broncos player would go up the whole stadium. It'd be like, Rhys Walsh, at fullback. And then it would be like, at fullback, Tain to a picky. And it was so loud. It was very funny. Yeah, it was absolutely unbelievable. The wildest chance all through the game. It must be amazing when they went to have scored a try and be walking back behind the post as they were in the second half and to walk back towards that worried zone.
42:26And everybody's on their feet. Screaming their heads off. It's like Coliseum Gladiator stuff. It was. It is.
42:32Mike Minogue:And one of the things that's new this year that didn't happen last year was every time the kickoff was coming towards us in the second half, because whoever the front row was that was going to be running it back off the hit-off, they'd be up against the back fence right in front of the fan zone. And that was awesome. Everyone was on their feet yelling. Shit, it was good. It was amazing.
42:48Keyzie:If you were the person running it back, it would fire you up. Knowing that you've got backbones behind you screaming for you to smash into it. How did you find it, Jason? Pardon? How did you enjoy it? Look, as a completely sober person in that environment, it's an interesting experience. Yeah. A lot of screaming. Yeah. A lot of people standing up constantly. A lot of people walking past, constantly getting beersies. I know. Caking pisses. I seriously, I think I stood up probably 70 times. Yeah, 100%. the match. Keezy walked past me with his massive sausage dog. Sorry, I didn't have a dash in.
43:29Mike Minogue:I had a hot dog.
43:30Keyzie:And as Keezy was walking past me, the Warriors scored right in front of the base. I was good trying. And I was like, oh, could I see it? No. But no, the Warriors were great. And obviously in tremendous form. They're great. They're a big unit. They were beating them up.
43:48Mike Minogue:They're a scary team this year, which I love. But one of the funniest things was every time someone walked past us, we just all said the same things. I was like, bro, you are literally ruining Magic Round Flick every week. I think I said that about 10 times, and every time they'd just be like, I know, man, I'm sorry, I don't know what to do. How'd your score prediction go, Jase? Yeah, Broncos 13+. Yeah, look, it didn't go well.
44:09Keyzie:It was just my vibe before the game that, you know, because the expectations were that the Warriors were going to win, and I don't think the Warriors tend to do well when it's in their favour, but no, they pounded. Smoked them, unreal.
44:20Mike Minogue:They pounded. And then I was Waz 12 and under. I thought it would be close. Moggy, you were right on the money with Waz 13+. Yeah, I actually called it 40 to 10, but it was 42-12. So that's pretty good. That's pretty close. That's a hell of a guess. And every one in 100 times, you pull one out of your ass. So that's my turn.
44:34Keyzie:I have to say, you know, very quickly, when the Broncos scored that first minute after the second half, I went, oh, OK. But the fellas came back strong. If you are thinking about going to Magic Round, go to Magic Round. Do whatever you have to do. start putting five bucks away every week and so you're ready to get away next year. Bring your mates, get there. It's unmissable. It's a huge event, man, and it's just going to get bigger and bigger every year.
44:57Mike Minogue:Yeah, and if you want to bag a spot on the boys' trip itself, your registrations are now open right now at their website, boystrip.co.nz, to register and bag a spot because it sells out every year. Heck yeah, boystrip.co.nz, heading now to 1989. Back when Sebastian Bach had cheekbones and could actually fit a tiny pair of leather pants, Skid Rose, I remember you on Hauraki The Hauraki Big Show With Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue And Kesey Incubus, are you in on Hauraki with Angie? Good question to ask Are you keen to be in The Sons of Hauraki The North Island or the South Island chapter? Let's go to the phones The Sons of Hauraki Gotta live this life Let's see who wants to ride with the street dogs Gere Hauraki, you were keen straight up the bat Who's this?
45:48Yeah, yeah, my name's Chris. Chris, where are you calling from, Chris?
45:51Keyzie:Nelson. All right, are you having a nice drive home currently? Yep, yep, just on my way home now. Nice, so clearly not riding a motorbike?
46:02Mike Minogue:No, no, I don't, but I'd love to acquire one. I've got my licence and all that. I've been all these people with their bike licences today, man. That's good on you, man. Have you had much experience? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I sort of gave up riding for a bit while I had kids, you know, so it would be nice to get back into it. Be free and irresponsible and fly like the wind. All right, I'm going to throw you in the draw. That'll be for the Street Dog XR, so best of luck to you, mate.
46:30Keyzie:Yeah, perfect. Thanks a lot. Next chance for you to get in the draw tomorrow morning, 6am, with Gerry and Manaya. All right, 24-hour party, people. Here's a turn for you Monday. It's New Order on Hauraki with Andy.
46:43Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jason Hoyt, Mike Minogue and Kesey. The Chile's California fornication on Hauraki. Angie here covering for the Hauraki Big Show fellas who have been doing a bit of a bris of fornication, have they? Well, let's see. The NRL Magic Round of course over the weekend. The fellas went along. The Waz totally aced the Broncos. It was a massive party last night. Here is the final of the Magic Files the boys released.
47:08Keyzie:You're welcome back, your massive backbones. Well, I can tell you actually in Brizzy at the moment as I look out the window in Pugs' hotel room, she's fair old pissing down, fellas. Yeah, it is. We're about to check out in about half an hour or so and make our way to the airport and go through all that palaver. How are we feeling about that? Looking forward to it. I'm glad it's raining today so I don't feel obliged to do too much. The rain is kind of reflecting how I'm feeling at the moment. Sure. Let me be very clear, I think we've all done really well yet. None of us are in the shape that we were in last year.
47:39No. I'm feeling pretty bloody good and tomorrow I'll be brand new, so I'm stoked to do that.
47:43Mike Minogue:Last year was genuinely the worst hangover experience of my life because I think Minaya and I got to bed at 3 or 3.30 and then the alarms went off at 5.30 and then we were getting picked up at 6 to board the earliest flight. And it was just the worst because you guys all upgraded to premium economy somehow, the only two that didn't with me and Minaya, and we were just like, oh, my goodness. It was six hours, I think, from leaving the hotel, getting to the airport, flying home, and actually being back in my bed. It was terrible.
48:12Keyzie:Did we go to Magic Round last year? What do you mean? Were we there last year, were we? You'd forgotten about that one. Oh, okay. No, yeah. Jeez. Jeez, that was a cracker, wasn't it? Yeah. I remember it. I was just going to say, wait. I was like, were you there? It was jokes, fellas. Classic. Yeah, totally. I think we're all in much better shape this year. We had a pizza party in Pugs' last night, but he kicked me out and didn't order me a pizza.
48:42Mike Minogue:We saw you at the 7-Eleven walking out with two pies, Jase, when you were walking home. And I invited him back for the pizza party. He goes to his room, eats the pies, and then comes back to my room. I'm like, we're eating together. What are you doing? And then comes in and goes, fellas, I've found the best movie ever. It's on this channel. It was the worst. And we put it on. It's the worst movie ever. He's like, Robert DeVals in it.
49:02Keyzie:Which is why it was the best movie. because it was the worst movie. And I did offer you one of my pies. Yeah, but I ordered a billion dollars with a massive man.
49:11Mike Minogue:I didn't need your pies. It was good, yeah.
49:13Keyzie:Hey, but listen, massive thanks to Boys Trip. Once again, they've outdone themselves. It's been a great experience. And as Moggy was saying, if you've never done it before, you've got to come to magic around. It is something to behold, isn't it, fellas?
49:25Mike Minogue:Yeah, start a group chat with all your mates who are too useless to do anything. Say, fellas, lock in this weekend in a year's time and just meet over here and just have the best three days you'll ever have and you'll be worse for wear afterwards. BoysDrip.co.nz for that. Registration's open now. And also, if you want to see what we've been up to, go to Horaki Big Show on Instagram there. Yeah, that's right. See all the visuals. Good work on those pugs, by the way. Well done, man. Thanks. Really good stuff, pugs. A bit more to come, actually, but you guys are heading away, aren't you? Yeah, true.
49:51Mike Minogue:We're off this week. Yeah, we're done. We're off this week. Yeah, yeah.
49:53Keyzie:Oh, are we?
49:54Mike Minogue:Oh, Jase, come on.
49:55Keyzie:Jase, that's nice.
49:56Mike Minogue:Did we go to Magic Round last year? So, yeah, we are back the following Monday. So, yeah, for us at the Monday. We're best bits, though. Prebs will be taking care of the listeners. I will be still in the Big Show. And I'll get into some best of the Big Show moments. Good stuff, pokes. Good on you, mate.
50:08Keyzie:It's because you went to Vietnam for three weeks. Yeah, I was sort of blown. I've got no idea. Good on you, pokes.
50:13Mike Minogue:Good on you, pokes. Thanks, guys. Backbone. All right. Thank you. And that is it. That is the NRL Magic Round. Thanks to the Big Show. Real big cheers to our mates at boystrip.co.nz.
