In short

The Hauraki Big Show’s “No Filth” special and the Friday Throbber segment, plus listener-driven music voting, TV/movie reviews, and a rugby chat.

Guests

None. The hosts are Jason Hoyte, Mike Minogue, and Keyzie (Keezy). They also call listeners (e.g., Paul, Cade, Richard, plus callers voting on the Throbber).

Key claims

The hosts argue “filth” has been creeping into the show; they run a poll asking “Is the Big Show too filthy?” and later reveal results. They also claim the Throbber has “lost its sting,” so they shift control to listeners via texts to 3483.

Notable examples

“No Filth” debate includes accusations about who is most responsible (Hoity J, Keezy, or Mogi). Throbber winner: Cade (Southland) with “Du Hast” by Rammstein, winning $50 Reburger. Reviews: The Agency (Neon) gets 2 stars; Night of the Living Dead (1968) gets 3.5 stars.

0:00Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show. Thanks to crave-worthy street food. Freshly made with Reburger.

0:09Keyzie:Welcome, this is Big, to the Hauraki Big Show. Really Big. With Jason Hoyte, Mike Minogue and Keyzie. Oh, g'day you mad bastards. Great to have your company on another glorious day in Auckland City. It is the 3rd of June, 2026 and you my friends, as always, listening to The Big Show, brought to you by Reburger. Serving good times and good food. Dine in or take away Reburger today.

0:35Mike Minogue:Scrum-diddly-uptious.

0:37Keyzie:I just want to say, did I say June then?

0:39Mike Minogue:You said Auckland City again.

0:41Keyzie:July.

0:42Mike Minogue:July, yeah.

0:43Keyzie:Yeah, yeah. And nationwide. Just to clarify. G'day, Moggy Estallion. How's life? Go pretty grassy, you mad dog. You sick son of a bee. What a time to be alive, eh? Yes. Another beautiful day here, Keezy, in Auckland City. Sparkling, sparkling Auckland City. And everywhere else. Everywhere else loves Auckland City. Totally they do. Do they? They love it. The whole country loves Auckland. Okay. Do you not know that? So they don't mind us just only referencing Auckland? Yeah, yeah. Well, we can't talk about other places because we don't live there. It wouldn't be right. But 3483 flickers a text by all means.

1:12Tell us what kind of weather you've got where you are.

1:13Keyzie:You see, if I was in Wellington, I'd do the same. Shithouse day in Wellington yet again. Blowing a gale. Cold as a bastard. Blowing a gale. Freezing my arse off. But I'm in Auckland City where it's sparkling and glorious.

1:27Mike Minogue:Yeah, I'm good. Thanks, fellas. Got your Tony jacket on there. Yeah, I've got my Tony jacket on. Glad it's Friday. What's the name of the tuxedo when you wear the jeans and the jacket?

1:39Mike Minogue:Canadian? Something like that. Something like that, yeah. Someone will text us through. And it's good light blue, nice light blue jeans, nice light blue jacket. Thank you. Very nice, Chris. Thanks, mate. Thanks, Michael. How are you, Jase? You've just got sort of like a thermal that's been stained by bleach or something. Yeah.

1:55Keyzie:That's exactly what happened. Some people think it's a really cool, high-class design, but it's literally just bleach. I don't know how it got on there. I think my wife did a bleach wash or something, and maybe accidentally my black top got stuck in there.

2:11Mike Minogue:Because I had black socks, and they turned slightly orange, and it's because my wife had bleached the floor or something, and then I walked on the floor.

2:20Keyzie:Yes. Oh, God. Oh, that's terrible. Bleach socks. Terrible.

2:26Mike Minogue:Well, I just thought I was trying to relate to you, Jase, man. Yeah.

2:28Keyzie:Now, listen. Massive, massive show coming up. It's a Friday, after all. Speaking of which, what is coming up, Mogi?

2:39What's happening on The Big Show with old Mogi? Another Friday, another throbber, fellas. And once again, we'll be going to the well out there to you, the audience, to get your picks for throbbers. We've been having a shocker. Yes. Really all year. So we're putting it at the hands of the people that complain the most, and that is the listeners.

2:57Mike Minogue:Yeah, so if you've got any ideas for Throbbers, you will have to jump on the phone at 5 o 'clock, but text your song choices through to 3483, and if we choose you and then your Throbber wins, you get$50 worth of Reburger. How good's that? Yeah, real good. Also, it's Bear and Pie July, and we're doing the pie that pays. Listen out for the queue to call, give us a bell, and you can get yourself$250 in cold, hard cash. Cool. And up next, old hoody Jizz has got a bone to pick and we'll be doing a big poll. Yeah, totally, man.

3:28Keyzie:Boy, do I have a bone to pick, a massive bone. In the meantime, here's Foo Fighters.

3:33Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.

3:37Keyzie:Yes, indeed. Cake there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Friday afternoon. The time is 12 minutes past four o 'clock and I've got a bone to pick. I got a bone to pick.

3:53Keyzie:Now, we've touched on this subject before, but I think it's always important as a show to constantly regulate, to constantly have your finger on the pulse and just take note. Keep abreast. Keep abreast of. Now we're talking. Yeah. This is where I'm sort of going with it. Now, I feel like over the last, I don't know, couple of weeks that we've begun the slippery descent into filth again. We were talking about this a few months back, and it was like, let's just pull it up, fellas. We're better than that. I find now when I come into the office, filth just pouring out of Keezy's mouth. What do you mean?

4:39Keyzie:And this is a young kid that when he started the show, you know, all those years ago with us, was as sweet as a meadow. and now I'm seeing little dark, filthy spikes of Minogue, you know, protruding out of him. Really? Pugsan, who, you know, he's a pretty open-minded fella. Now he's starting to spread filth around in the office. And I've noticed, I mean, Mogi is just par for the course. But I'm concerned that it's beginning to seep into the show. What, the filth is starting to seep into the big show? It is beginning to permeate everything we do, and it's my belief that we're better than that. Yeah, what's that based on?

5:24Keyzie:Not the evidence. On our comic chops, on our experience, on our knowledge, on our sharpness, on our intelligence, on our keenness. And I just feel that filth is the last refuge of the desperado. Are you suggesting that it's low-hanging fruit? Low-hanging fruit, certainly. I've got a couple of low-hanging fruit for you.

5:48Mike Minogue:Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.

5:54Mike Minogue:Ah, shit, that's good stuff, man. High five, Keezy. Yeah, boom. $50 Reebok a voucher, Moji, coming your way, brother. What were you saying, Jase, man?

6:04Keyzie:And so I really think that we need to take stock, reassess, you know, set the perimeters and parameters again of the show and what we're about. and so I'd like to put it to the audience because, you know, it's vast. What is? Our audience. I thought you were talking about something else. Is there too much filth in The Big Show?

6:28Mike Minogue:Right, okay.

6:28Keyzie:Big Pole? Yes, I think so. The Big Pole.

6:39Keyzie:Now, I think Moggy's beyond saving. Unbelievable. And I think that, you know, now it's just, he's not even aware he's doing it. Unbelievable. Do you not agree with this? I'll be honest, I'm tempted to change the big pole because what's happening here is I'm being accused. What I'd be interested to know from the listener is, who do you think is most responsible for filth on the big show? Oh, well, that's easy. Hoity J, Keezy, or Little Old Mogi?

7:08Mike Minogue:Or Little Old Mogi. Someone just texted her with a good point. Didn't you recently start a business that sells stick mags and toasted sandwiches, Jens? Great point.

7:16Keyzie:Can I make the very relevant point to that? Whose suggestion was that, that I sell stick mags?

7:23Mike Minogue:I don't know, maybe Moggy's, but you're the one that ran with it and set up a legitimate business that is currently functioning in the Auckland CBD. You're a shocking bastard.

7:30Keyzie:And doing very well, thank you. Okay, so what's the question then? Well, I mean, we could change it, but I think Pugs has already typed it up. I think it is interesting because, as you say, we've touched on it before, is it too filthy, is it not? And the people I think last time was 90 % to 10 % saying that we were as good as gold. So I would be interested. Maybe we can run one between now and five and another at five to six. But I'd certainly be interested to know because you are throwing barbs. You're throwing accusations around here about me being filthy,

8:01Mike Minogue:and I resent it because you're a shocking bastard. Yeah. Jase, what's your cat's name? Who named my cat?

8:08Keyzie:What's your cat's name? I'm not even going to go there. This is the point I'm making.

8:14Mike Minogue:All right, well, look, the Hauraki Big Show Instagram story is there if you'd like to vote. Yes. It is currently, is the Big Show too filthy? That's right. Yes or no? And I think we can go with that today. Why don't we stick with that today? And then out the back of that, we can have another chat about it on Monday once we're all finished stewing about it.

8:30Keyzie:Yeah, on Monday. Shocking. Yes, Stone Temple Pilots.

8:36Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

Read the full transcript

8:42Keyzie:The raconteurs there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Friday afternoon. The time is exactly 23 minutes past four o 'clock. And I'll be honest with you, I'm not happy because Hauri Jace started the show by picking a bone, having a bone to pick, saying there's too much filth on the Big Show that we need to cut it out, and then accusing me of being the worst one here, being beyond help. Beyond help.

9:05Mike Minogue:He's saying that you infected Pugs and I. That's right. And now we're filthy. That I'm a bad example. And that you're beyond saving. And that you're as sweet as a meadow. That's probably the thing I'm most concerned about. That was weird. Everything that he said, he said you're as sweet as a meadow. That was when he first started. Yeah, that's right. But he said he was sweet, sweet young, sweet young. A sweet young boy or something. It was bizarre. Yeah, yeah. And the guy's nearly in his 40s. It was odd. Anyway, I've internalised what you've said, Jason. I'm fuming. So I'd like to lay down a challenge.

9:37I can do a clean show as easy as the next man. As easy as the next man. It has to be entertaining still, though. I can do a clean show as easy as the next man, and I challenge you all to do the same.

9:53Keyzie:I accept your challenge there, Mogi, and I think that's a bloody good thing, and it's a really good, healthy exercise for us to undertake. You hearing this, Keezy? Keezy?

10:06Mike Minogue:100%. All right, great. Keezy's on board as well. When are we doing it? Like next week? No, now. Now. Right now. But I guess my question is, how is the audience going to feel about us doing a clean show? I personally believe, stoat. You think the audience is stoat? Well, like this text here. There are three things I expect to hear when listening to the big show. Good tunes, Jace's casual racism and filth. So that person's already going to be here. Well, obviously two of those things will still be there. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, obviously, yeah, but I mean. There's not enough filth, boys. I don't tune in for wholesome, clean-cut niceties.

10:46Mike Minogue:FYI, Jace is the unsavoury one. So, like, already people are texting on 3483, like, insisting that maybe the amount of filth is spot on. But, okay, so clean show for the rest of the day. Totally. 100%, easy. Okay, so what are we going to talk about then? You know, we're going to talk about what's on tally later when we rate it in Buzzi's. You know that, eh? Oh, well, let's just take it back to stars.

11:10Keyzie:All right? There's the first step right there. Stars. Stars. How many stars do you give that muggy? I mean, is that that bad? That's crazy talk. Well, I'm fine with stars. I prefer stars. Thank you. Over Buzzi's. What about this text that's just coming in here? Bring back Shad Chat. We need more filth. This is weak. What a load of shit, Moggy That's not me Someone's texting that So people are fuming, Joe So I don't know Maybe you're preaching to the wrong choir here Maybe it's you that needs to change So you're saying that I need to jump on board the filth wagon Well, you've been driving the filth wagon up until this point You've been at the reins of that filth wagon And you've been whipping the bejesus out of those horses going faster, faster, faster.

12:01Mike Minogue:You've been riding them bareback.

12:05Keyzie:Easy-keasy.

12:07Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.

12:11Keyzie:Yes, indeed, a bit of bush for your Friday afternoon. The time is 4.35.

12:17Mike Minogue:Why are you cracking up at the name of that band? What do you mean? You just had a big smirk when you said the name of that band.

12:23Keyzie:Oh, no, it was something that Mogi said earlier, and it just came back into my head. Right. No, we're doing something a little bit different here because we're doing something a little bit different with the Throbber today. So we're changing things up a bit so we can explain the Throbber situation where we normally do what's on the TV, so we're doing what's on the TV right now. What's on the telly with Mike Minogue.

12:50Mike Minogue:Yeah. That's right. I give that explanation two buzzies out of five.

12:55Keyzie:No. Two. What did you say, Keezy?

12:58Mike Minogue:That's an X for Keezy. That's a cross for Keezy. Oh, so we are still doing the No Filth show. No Filth. This is a No Filth special for everybody out there listening. Jason has made some accusations that we can't do a show clean, that I'm the one that is the filthiest on the show, and that I'm beyond help. Beyond help, Keezy. And you're as sweet as a meadow, Keezy, which to me sounds like filth. Yeah. Anyway. So no filth for the rest of the show. So we're doing no filth for the entire show. Just a cross for Keezy, by the way, Pugs. Last night I watched some more of The Agency on Neon with Richard Gere, Geoffrey Wright was the other guy that was in it, and Michael Fassbender.

13:40It's sort of a CIA-y sort of a thing. The second season's just come out. My wife's already watched it, so I'm watching the first season alone, Keezy. Great actors, looks great. All the ingredients there, Keezy. she's pretty boring pretty pretty boring I've got to say so I'm going to give it out of all of the stars that I could give it I'm going to give it two but I'm going to keep on watching it because they've made a second season I can only assume it gets better. It's on Neon and it's called The Agency. Yeah great stuff.

14:13Keyzie:Fellas I tuned in to the old Samsung TV last night and watched an old classic Night of the Living Dead. Yes. Made in 1968 And as you'd imagine A group of unsuspecting people get trapped in an old farmhouse After the dead Unexpectedly rise from the grave And seek the living as food Oh dear 7.8 out of 10 on IMDB 95 % on Rotten Tomatoes Now, there's something about movies in the 60s and 70s that I love and I think genuinely it's the authenticity and commitment of the performances. Yes. I love it. They're just into it. It's very believable. Obviously, they don't have the sort of special effects that we have, you know, in these days and times like The Walking Dead, et cetera, et cetera, but they make up for that with atmosphere and performance in my view.

15:13Keyzie:So I'm going to give it very comfortably 3.5 stars out of 5. Wow. It's a very good horror film, very influential. Yes. In my memory, though, it was set at a shopping centre. Is it not in a shopping centre? No, it's a farmhouse. There's another one at a shopping centre. Can't remember what that one is. That might have been earlier. It certainly spurned a whole lot of, you know, remakes. I think it meant spawned. Spurned? Yeah, spawned. You're right. Spawned, not spurned. Spurned almost sounds filthy. That's another mark for Keezy. That's half a mark for Keezy. I can't do it. What am I doing here?

15:55Mike Minogue:I don't have anything to prove. I'm as sweet as a meadow. Surely I'm at least allowed to have a little bit of filth. No filth for you. No, no, no, no. This is beef between you guys. We're trying to determine who's the filthiest, and so far the answer's quite clear. Yes, it is. Quite clear.

16:08Keyzie:Emphatically. Hey, now coming up next, by the way, we're going to do a new thing with the Throbber this afternoon, so stay tuned.

16:16Mike Minogue:Yeah.

16:17Keyzie:In the meantime, here's Dandy Warhols.

16:21Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.

16:25Keyzie:The Colt there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Friday afternoon. The time is 4.47. Now, as always on a Friday after five o 'clock, we do the Friday Throbber. Drama! But we've been getting a vibe over the last couple of months, really, that the Throbbers really lost its sting, fellas.

16:44Mike Minogue:Yeah, who do you think, if we had to choose one person, to be the sole blame for this?

16:48Keyzie:Oh, we don't like to point the finger at you. No, I don't think there's anyone to blame for it. But it's Jase.

16:52Mike Minogue:Yeah, I think he's beyond saving. I think that, as a group, we've sort of been dropping the ball a little bit.

16:59Keyzie:No. Right. So what we decided to do is, hey, let's throw it back on the listeners.

17:06Mike Minogue:Get them to decide. Yep. So we experimented last week. We put an Instagram story up where people could comment with a song that they want to be played. If your song won, you got 50 bucks worth of Reburger. We're going to do the same today. However, instead, you text us 3483. You tell us what song you want played. Yeah. If we choose your song, we will each choose one. We will call you. You'll be on the line for the throbber. You will tell the world what your throbber is. If it wins, boom,$50. Boom. If it loses, however, and gets bagged on the text machine, we'll then read those to you as well. Yeah.

17:39Mike Minogue:So you can see what it's like.

17:40Keyzie:Yeah. What we're basically doing is putting the blame onto you. Yes. Taking the heat off the fellas. Yeah. Because, you know, we're sensitive sort of fellas, and, you know, it can be very hurtful, some of the comments that people make. I find that they're pretty good to be in keys.

17:57Mike Minogue:Pretty accurate, yeah. You have to, yeah. Most of them are like, oh, good choices. Loved it. Loved it. More please. 3483 is the number. Are they most of the comments? 100%. 3483 is the number. Text through your Throbber nomination and be prepared to get a phone call back. Yes. If you are keen to win$50 worth of Reburger. Is this going to be a full-time thing, fellas? We'll see how it goes. Yeah, okay. We'll see how it goes.

18:22Keyzie:We'll gauge it because I don't know that I trust the audience to pick Throbbers better than the fellas. But, you know, you never know. You may be surprised. In the meantime, here's Muse.

18:33Mike Minogue:3483, choose a Throbber, potentially get yourself 50 bucks worth of Reburger. The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki.

18:42Keyzie:Yes, indeed. Muse there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Friday afternoon. The time is 4.53. Keep those choices coming in on 3483. What do you want the throbber to be this Friday afternoon?

18:56Mike Minogue:Yeah, the way it's going to work is we'll each pick one of the texts. We will then call you and have you on the line at 5 o 'clock to do the throbber. And if your throbber choice wins, boom, 50 bucks worth of a re-burger. I've locked mine in. I've locked mine in. We're just waiting on Hoity J. Yeah. Who's just perusing through the text machine now as well. So 3483, keep the text coming in. Also, fellas, just a quick thing that I've been asked to mention because we haven't actually mentioned it. You know how it's Beer and Pie July? Yes. Yes. The Pie Awards are on again this month. Oh, how good.

19:28Mike Minogue:Which is a formal event. It's a really fancy three-course meal. You have to wear a suit. It's a full show. Hauraki goes every single year. We love it, don't we, James? I can wear my boots. You can wear your boots. And every year as well, we get two extra seats at the table with us. Oh, that's right, for a couple of punishers to come along. For a couple of punters, I thought you were going to say. Yeah, yeah, yeah. A couple of legends. So if you're keen to join the Hauraki table for the Pi Awards, text the words Pi Awards to 3483. How good, man. I am actually going to do that this year.

20:00Keyzie:You're going to come to the Pi Awards? Yep, totally. Nice. Can we bring partners? Nope. No. But I'll still do it, though, because I've heard great things about it. I've heard nothing but good things about it. You know, and a nice meal. I like a nice meal. I like to go out and enjoy myself, dress up. I don't think they're doing hot pot this year, though, so you're out of luck there. I was actually talking about that. I've got to lay off the Asian food, you know, because that's all I eat now. That's okay. I feel like I need to vary my diet a little bit. There's a lot of chilli going on.

20:33Mike Minogue:I think that's a good thing, though. I've been telling you that, though, to be honest with you. You do, because your noodles, your dumplings, your hot pots.

20:40Keyzie:We're having a pie tonight, though, funnily enough, with mash.

20:44Mike Minogue:I thought you had that last night.

20:45Keyzie:No, no, that was hot pot last night. And I had eaten noodles for lunch.

20:49Mike Minogue:Oh, my goodness. It's just nonstop. August 4th is the Pie Awards. So it's once Bear and Pie July concludes. It's at the Cordes Hotel up here in Auckland. You will get to bring a mate, sit at the table with us, free big dinner, wear your suit, have a wee chitty chat, watch the Pie Awards. You also get a night at the Cordes Hotel, breakfast the next morning as well. Oh, that's great. Great hotel. Yes, it is. It is. So text PIEAWARDS, two different words there, PIEAWARDS to 3483. After five, fellas, the throbber. The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

21:31Mike Minogue:It's the Hauraki Big Show's Friday throbber. Doosh, doosh.

21:38Keyzie:Now we're doing something different today and we've really thrown old Pugsun under the bus because not only does he have to try in a very short space of time find three songs and get clips from them. And put them in the system and grab the best bits. And he also has to try and get the people that voted for those songs.

21:56Mike Minogue:Yeah, so if you text her on 3483 a song and then you just received a call, can you answer your phone? Yeah. We've got one of the three on the line right now. Or it might end up being that we end up just running it so that Pugs doesn't have to do that. And then while we're running it, he can get all three on and then we just talk to the winner. Well, that's the thing, right, because we're just making this up as we fly along. I mean, some people have meetings about this for weeks. Yeah, they do. We have an idea. Bang, it's on the airwaves. Bang.

22:23Keyzie:On the pulse, fellas. On the pulse. Okay, so we've got... On the edge. We're on the edge.

22:29Mike Minogue:And that's good because it suits the whole theme of the thromber. Jase, we're not on the edge. We're on hodaki. Come on, man. Come on, man. Hey, so how do you want to do this? I'll go first. So we're going to play your song first? Yeah. Okay. I'm happy with that. If Pugs is happy with that. I've gone with a song from a band that I like. That's one of my tricks. And this is called The Pot. You must have been high.

22:55Keyzie:You must have been high. High. You must have been high.

23:04Mike Minogue:The Pot by Tool. The Pot by Tool. I was going to do that too. And that song's come through from Paul Goldthorpe. Paul Goldthorpe. Who didn't answer the phone. Who didn't pick up. And so now he doesn't get a$50 Reburgo. Well, no, he might win. Yeah. And then if Pugs manages to get him on over the course of the next sort of break in a bit, then we're into it. Okay. Oh, look, there's someone called Paul calling through right now. You know who it is. Go on, Keezy. Okay, here we go. Paul.

23:33Keyzie:Hey, mate.

23:35Mike Minogue:Hey, buddy. Was that your song you sent through? It was, mate. All right. So, Mogey has selected your tune. the pot from Toolmate. So all you need to do is hold the line and if your song wins, you'll get 50 bucks worth of Reburger, all right?

23:48Keyzie:Roger that, mate. Roger that.

23:50Mike Minogue:Beautiful. You hold there, Paul. Good stuff. All right. Let's go to two for my song. G'day, Cade. How are you? What's going on, your massive backbone? Yeah, not too much, mate. What do you do for a crust, Cade? I work down in the boiler house at Edendale, brother. Oh, backbone. Massive backbone. Now, Cade, quickly, what song did you select for the Throbber? The one and only Do Hust by Ramstein.

24:32Mike Minogue:Righto. One of the all-time great moshy experiences, Cade. You've got great taste in music, my friend. You hold the line, all right? You are representing Keezy. Sweet. Cheers, brother. And finally, g'day, Richard.

24:44Keyzie:How you going, you mad bastard? Oh, not too bad. How are you guys? Yeah, good. Yeah, good, mate. Good. What did you go with, Richard? Because I chose you.

24:53Mike Minogue:Oh, mate, we're going to win this one. It's Got the Life by Korn. Hey, something, somewhere each day

24:59Keyzie:Feeling ripped off and given off One, six, inside Now everyone we're falling So give me nothing Just fear And now we're falling Don't pace me Jeez, that is a tune, isn't it? That's a tune as well, yeah. Good on you, Richard. So all three of you stay on the line because now we've got to go to the callers That's right. To decide what are you deciding as the Friday thromber today, give us a call on 0800-HAURAKI. In the meantime, here's Kings of Leon.

25:34Mike Minogue:Cheers. The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Kesey. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

25:45Keyzie:It's the Hauraki Big Show's Friday thromber. Dish, dish. as chosen by you, the listeners. Moki, who did you go with? I went to the pot from Paul in Mount Maunganui.

26:11Mike Minogue:He's on the line right now. He's on hold, waiting to see if he wins 50 bucks worth of Reburger. I went with Cade from Southland, who chose an absolute ripper, Duhas by Ramstein. You hush fish

26:32Keyzie:Tune And I went with Richard who went with Corn Got The Life

26:48Nice

26:49Mike Minogue:Three big tunes Huge. Huge tunes. Let's go to the Lions now and see who's going to win the throbber and which of those listeners will get a 50-little Reebok about you. Yeah, man. G'day, Andre, you mad bastard. How's life?

27:02Keyzie:Good, bro. Good. Good on you. Yeah, good. Thanks, man. What are you running with there, Andre?

27:09Mike Minogue:I've got to go with Woody G's bot, eh? Yeah, man. What, you mean Richard?

27:13Keyzie:Yes, yeah. Good call, mate. Good on you. Good on you, mate. Where are we going here, Keezy? Hang on, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, there we go. G'day Haydo, you mad bastard. What are you running with today, Hayden?

27:29Mike Minogue:I'm going with Ramstein, please. Good on you, Hayden. So that's one vote Keezy, one vote Horty J. Good on you, mate.

27:37Keyzie:G'day, Jamie, you mad bastard. How's life? Jamie?

27:42Mike Minogue:Oh, g'day. Sorry to thank you there. It's got to be Keezy with Dooh. Good on you, Jamie. Good on you, mate. That means, Cade, are you there, mate? Yeah, brother, I'm listening. Yeah, Cade, you just won yourself 50 bucks worth of Reburger. Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo! And your tune, of course. Yeah, good on you, mate. And, of course, you get to hear Ramstein do Haas, which has won the throbber. This one goes out to Cade in Southland. You have a good evening, Cade. Cheers, brother. You too, mate. On you, mate. Good on you, mate. The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from 4 on Radio Ho.

28:23Keyzie:Ramstein. Sorry, did we say comedy tunes?

28:27Mike Minogue:How is it a comedy tune?

28:29Keyzie:You didn't find that hilarious? Why? Because it's in another language. I mean, he was clearly taking the piss. How do you know? Well, just the tone of it. It's a comedy tune, right? The actual lyrics are, you hate me.

28:45Mike Minogue:Oh. No, I mean, it's great. I was cracking up. Yeah, right, okay. Look, if we go to the scoreboard, Jase, the throbbers scoreboard. Yeah, what makes you laugh, Keezy? Is it the scoreboard? Yes. Mogi's out in front. He's won 10 throbbers this year. Good stuff, Mogi. You totally are. He's going the right way to get a Mogi throbber special at the end of the year, as is tradition. As is tradition. We always talk about it. Yeah, we always talk about it. We did it once first year, but we will do it this year, I swear. After that, Keezy's on nine with a fresh win there. thanks to K down in Southland, which is bloody exciting.

29:23Mike Minogue:And in last place on five with two asterisks and a small d. Hoody J on five. Yeah, man. Well, actually, you should have three. Remember, you gave him an asterisk at the beginning of the week, but I can't remember what it was for. Oh, yeah, that's right. It was for something to do with another segment completely. That's right. Also, just looking here, why does Pugs have zero with an asterisk? Because he did some shocker. Oh, right, okay. We didn't write it down. I think you have to write down your reasons. Yeah, okay. Yeah. Now, how did you guys feel about the interactive throbber? I like it. Yeah, it's great.

29:57It's an easy way. We can make some easy changes to just smooth it out a bit, but I think it's a way forward.

30:03Mike Minogue:Streamlining, eh? Yeah, totally. You know, I like that Kay down south from there, he was on the line. He was hoping his song would win. He got it played and he won 50 bucks re-burger. I like that. How good is that? I like not having to rack my brain all day when I've got other stuff to do about what throbber I'm going to come up with and then coming up with one of the eight that I always choose. Yeah, I actually miss that aspect because I like choosing songs. But Jase, I mean, you put zero effort in anyway, right? Totally. Had you heard that song before, that Korn song? Had I. Oh, God. Asterisk.

30:34Mike Minogue:Here's LMNOP. The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

30:43Keyzie:Space Hog there on the radio. of Hauraki Big Show this Friday afternoon. The time, 5.27.

30:52Mike Minogue:Fellas, I'm worried about Hoody J. We have a lot of fun on this show, don't we? Hell yeah. We did until today. Today, I mean, obviously, now that we're trying to not be filthy. It's the filth-free special.

31:05Keyzie:Incidentally, who drew that massive thing on my desk here? Hang on, no, no, no.

31:11Mike Minogue:Let's not get sidetracked by the penis that Moggy drew on your bit of paper, all right? I'm worried about you, Jase. Yeah. You know, we do have fun on the show. We give each other a bit of stick, you know? Like the time Moggy wore a Direwolf T-shirt. Yeah, man. And then I was like, oh, cool, Game of Thrones T-shirt, Moggy. And then he never wore it ever again. I gave it away. He gave it away. It was my favourite T-shirt, that one. It hurt my feelings. Monday last week. Monday last week, Hoity J debuted his new cream-coloured boots. Yes. Woman's boots. I'd say beige, but yeah. Chaos and Harmony.

31:45Mike Minogue:They're an indescribable colour, really. Henus. Can I say flesh? No, they're not flesh colour. That's like, you know, red or pinky or something. Isn't it flesh? No, flesh is a beige. Is it? Yeah. Chaos and Harmony is the brand of the boots. They are women's boots. They specialise in bridal footwear. You bought them second hand. You wore them to work. You didn't know. It's amazing that this is true. 100 % true. This is true. We then gave you a small amount of gin. I have been tracking Hoity J's days Of wearing his footwear Because he said They're still in the rotation Fellas They're still in the rotation Monday He wears This is last week Monday He wore the boots to work Debut day Gets a bit of jit Tuesday No boots Wednesday Boots Show of courage Boots Thursday No boots Friday No boots Monday this week No boots Tuesday No boots Wednesday No boots Thursday No boots Today No boots Can I just point out Odie Jay Can I just say Just quickly before you Go on there I never wanted this to happen I want you to feel comfortable Wearing whatever you want To wear to work Thanks man

32:59Keyzie:Can I point out I actually did Did wear them On Tuesday Yeah But that's not the same But you didn't wear them to work And at the most High profile event We've done for weeks So I might add. No, totally.

33:12Mike Minogue:But what I'm getting at here is you're afraid to wear them when we're doing the show. Not at all. Because you wore them after the show. You went home and changed your boots and then met us for dinner. Can I say that it's having an effect, though, because I forget about them when I don't see them. 100%. If they're not in the room with me, I forget to remind you about how much I love them. Totally. So it's working, whatever he's doing.

33:34Keyzie:Can I just say, too, on that front, he said no need for concern because, you know, So I took your gentle ribbing as jealousy. 100 % jealousy. I'm so jealous. Totally, man. So by not, and actually, and I'll be honest, I'll often change my shoes during the day.

33:54Mike Minogue:Thank you for being honest about that. But how come it doesn't go the other way and you don't wear them in here? I understand that you'll come in on Monday and you say, oh, I was wearing them all weekend, fellas. You missed out.

34:02Keyzie:Can I just say, they're often those particular boots you're talking about, a morning boot. Morning boot. Like I wear them in the mornings. Really, because most weddings are in the afternoon. Strangely, but that's why you often don't see them.

34:17Mike Minogue:But why did you wear them in the evening last week, at the beginning of the week?

34:20Keyzie:Because it was a special occasion.

34:21Mike Minogue:And these are just boots. They're just boots, James. And so your other boots are in the rotation. All I'm saying is, in a perfect world, if I had my way, you would wear your boots whenever you wanted to work. Mogi would wear his direwolf t-shirt. Pugs probably wouldn't wear the beret. Or the tie. all the tie from the other night, but I just want everyone to be happy wearing whatever they're wearing when they come into work.

34:42Keyzie:Well, AKA you and your prison jacket. My Tony jacket. Your Tony jacket.

34:46Mike Minogue:Oh, yeah, where's your prison jacket gone? I wore it two days ago. Where's your pink jacket? I've got my Tony jacket on right now. He does have his Tony jacket on. My pink jacket, I'll wear it.

34:53Keyzie:That's what I mean. That's what I'm saying is great. I wear it to work. I've got one other thing to say. Aye. Aye.

35:01Mike Minogue:Aye. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki

35:12Mike Minogue:It's Beer and Pie July On Radio Hauraki Swing it Yeah man

35:18Keyzie:Beer and Pie July It sure is What's that last thing he says there?

35:22Mike Minogue:Swing it Does he? Do you want to hear it again? Yes Okay

35:30Mike Minogue:It's Beer and Pie July On Radio Hauraki Swing it Swig it? Oh, is it swig it? I thought it was swing it. Is it swig it? I don't know. I don't think it's too important, though. It can't be swing it, but swig it makes sense because that's pirate-ish, isn't it? It's a little bit pirate-y. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, good stuff, fellas. We've got 20 grand this month to give away.

35:57Mike Minogue:And we're giving it away in$250 chunks. Yeah, man. So all you have to do is when you hear the pirates, call 0800 Hauraki and boom, Boom,$250 could be yours thanks to Dad's Pies. How bloody good, Dad? Oh. G'day, Ben. How you going, man? Hi, I'm Cooper. You're who? Sorry? I'm Cooper. I'm Ben's son. Oh, Cooper. Ben's son.

36:20Keyzie:G'day, Cooper. How you going? What do you do for a crust, Cooper? A what? A crust, mate. How do you make your money, brother? How do you pay the bills, man? How do you pay for your beers, mate? How do you pay for your ciggies?

36:33Mike Minogue:Well, I... You steal off your dad, don't you, mate? Well, sometimes my parents just pay for stuff and then... And what about the rest of the time? The rest of the time I just get, like, birthday money and... Yeah! Backbone! From, like, Nana, eh?

36:57Keyzie:Nana will send you, like, 20 bucks for your birthday.

37:00Mike Minogue:Yeah. Yeah. You're a backbone, Cooper. Good on you, mate. Cooper, what's your favourite pie? My favourite type of pie is a potato top pie. Oh, okay, man.

37:12Keyzie:Okay. Cooper, I've got a question for you here, man. How do you feel about it when you hook into a potato top pie? Because that's my favourite as well. But how do you feel when you hook into one and it's got peas and carrots in there?

37:23Mike Minogue:I don't. Well, nah. Nah. I don't really like it. Neither do I, mate. This guy's a backbone.

37:30Keyzie:Tell me, Cooper, do you like a bit of tamati sauce on your potato top pie?

37:36Mike Minogue:Yeah, that's yum. Yeah, get on you, Cooper. Cooper, guess what, mate? You got$250 cash, man. Really?

37:43Keyzie:Yeah, man. What are you going to spend it on, Ben? Cooper. Oh, Cooper. I'll probably spend it on maybe some guitar stuff. Yeah. Backbone. Backbone. I tell you what, all that stuff, sounds great, Cooper, but I've got another idea for you, man. Why don't you tell your old man there that you're moving out, brother? You've got so much cash, you can go flattened, big dog. Yeah!

38:12Mike Minogue:Get on here, Cooper. You hold the line, mate. That cash is yours, alright? Thank you so much. You're welcome, mate. Anytime. You're massive backbone. I'd call back here anytime, Cooper. Poor Cooper calls up to win some cash and old mate, he just gives them a roasting. It was great. The only is$250 for a chase.

38:29Keyzie:Potato tops. You don't see them so much these days. I'll tell you who does a great potato top. Dad's pies. Oh, do they? They do an absolute gem of one. And every time I go in there, I'm like, oh, I'm going to try something different. And then I see it there in the warmer. Bang. Potato top. Oh, they're so good. Yeah. What's your go-to pie, Jase? Funnily enough, we are having a dad's pie tonight. But not with potato on top, mash on the side. Oh, that is funny. That is hilarious. Squirt of tomato juice.

39:02Mike Minogue:Sauce?

39:03Keyzie:Yeah, oh, sauce. Or are you putting tomato juice on it?

39:06Mike Minogue:Tomato juice.

39:06Keyzie:But anyway, get back to the question. No, I like tomato juice on mine. What's your favourite pie, though, Jase? Oh, that's so... I'm going to be controversial here and say a bacon and egg pie.

39:17Mike Minogue:Whoa, that is so controversial. Man, we're going to get phone calls about this. I don't want any part of that. That is broadcasting Stan's authority complaint material. I thought some of the stuff you were saying around the race sort of area was out the gate, but... Bacon and egg pie. Yeah, jeez, man. That is controversial. Is that bad, is it? That's really bad. It's really bad. Hey, big shout-out to Dad's Pies for giving us the cash to make this all possible. More chances to win cash as well throughout the day here on Hodaki. So your best bet, keep it locked. Yeah, man.

39:46Keyzie:Here's a bit of ACDC for you. Cheers.

39:49Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

39:55Keyzie:Yes, indeed. Jep there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Friday evening. The time, 5.52. Fellas, last night I watched one of the great TV shows. The Game of Two Halves. You don't need to tell me, mate. Now, it's IP. It's sort of great TV show IP. It's based on a TV show of the same name that came out in the sort of early 2000s, I should have guessed, starring Matthew Ridge. Yes. Mike King might have been on it. Mark Ellis. Hugely, hugely popular show. TV One, TV Two, something like that. Vici, yeah. The Bali Kid, they call him. Anyway, it was so good that they've remade it. And it's got a host of new stars on it, including our very own Chris Key.

40:46Christopher Key over here. Hi. Yeah. He's the host of it. Wow. He's the big dog in the hot seat. Anyway, I'm watching it last night. It was on Sky. I was watching it on demand. I missed it. Yeah.

40:59Mike Minogue:It's on TV3 every Friday at 8.30. Yeah, that's right. After seven days. Any bastard can watch it. Yeah, anyone. It's got a huge lead in with seven days, Keezy. That's programming gold. Yeah, man. Goldmine. Goldmine. Anyway, I was watching it last night. I had a great guest on there. Eric Murray, Josh Thompson, Jesse Chuk, Hayley Sproul. Yeah, that's right. I mean, the list goes on and on. Bryce Casey. Bryce Casey there, he had a hat on. Yeah, Brad Webber. Because he's bald as a bastard, old mate. And I'm watching it. It's got all this. It's sort of the idea behind it is there's a whole lot of sporting quiz questions.

41:37You know, what was the score in, who played, et cetera, et cetera. You know, it's pretty. There's more to it. What happened next? It's pretty mindless stuff.

41:44Mike Minogue:No, it's pretty, you know, there's a lot that goes into it. There's a lot that goes into it, but it's pretty easy. You know, it's for the kiddies and it's also for the oldies. It's family viewing. Although, to be fair, fellas, when we're filming it live, a lot of stuff gets cut out for R18 purposes. That's right. Because you are filthy, as we've heard today. We're doing the Filth 3 special today, but it's you that can't hold back the filth. Anyway, that's a sidebar. By the by. I guess my question is, Jase, you've been a guest on it, haven't you? Yes. On the voice, you did the phone call thingy there Yeah, I did the phone call thingy I guess my question is, I'm a big lover of sports I'm a big lover of Keezy, I'm a big lover of TV shows Where's my invite?

42:20And I'm not asking anybody in particular Just the room Jase, do you know where my invite is, man? Because it's been going for a couple of seasons now

42:28Keyzie:Every day that I come into the office, Moggy I'm going over the desk Going, where is that bloody invitation? Yes Has anything alright for Moggy yet, Toddy? No, mate, not today. And then I go across to the reception and I go, anything for old Moogie there? And they're like, oh, no, sorry, Big J, not today.

42:49Mike Minogue:So you think that's how TV shows work, you get an invite. But first of all, Moogie, I would be delighted to have you on that show. I know you love it. I know you watch it every week. I do. And I would love to have you on. I'm a particularly big fan of it now that you've got rid of, oh, what's her name there? We haven't got rid of Laura McGoldrick. she's still involved with the show, 100%. Good rid of the bad news. No, that's not. As you were saying off here. Stop spreading rumours. That is not what I was saying off here. Which I thought was pretty shocking. But I'd love to have you on.

43:18Keyzie:He's an ambitious young fella. And he's seen firsthand, Mogi, how vicious TV can be, hasn't he? He's been on the other end of a few vicious decisions, can I say.

43:31Mike Minogue:100 % I have. Well, not on this one. He's looking very, very comfortable in that chair. I'd love to get you on, mate. Look, I'll have a word to the producers. Well, I mean, you don't need to do that. Well. I just more wanted to point it out. I'm very, very disappointed. So you don't want to be on it? It's not the point. No, okay. Yeah. The point is that I haven't been invited. Right. That's what we're here to discuss. Now, if next week at some point you want to discuss getting me on as a guest, we can talk about that and why I'll say no. But in the meantime, we're just going to focus on the fact that I've not been invited, and that's not cool.

44:04Mike Minogue:Right. Well, yeah, sorry about that, Kate. We'll discuss getting you on next week, all right? Well, we can flag that.

44:14Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.

44:20Keyzie:Welcome back, you massive backbones. Hope your Friday is going off. You're listening to The Big Show brought to you by Reburger. Crave-worthy street food, freshly made with Reburger. Holy hicka. What's going on? What's going on there, Keezy?

44:41You're overflowing, brother. What are you talking about? You had a mouthful of hoik there, and you're spitting it all over the joint. A mouthful of hoik? Yeah. Keezy. That's another one. That's Phil from Mogey. No. That wasn't me.

44:53Keyzie:That was purely where your brain went. This is what I'm talking about. Two and a half. It had nothing to do with me, Jizz. Coming up, by the way. He just called you Jizz. We're going to the big... No, no, no, stop. That's my heart.

45:04Mike Minogue:This is the no-fil special apparently. We're all not being filthy this entire radio show. You just called him Jizz. What's his name? Jase. What's his other name? Sorry, sorry. So just confirming, your name is Jizz. Confirming that. One of them. One of my names, Kesey. And it's like his cat. What do I do if I'm talking about his cat? You say the cat's name, which is? Jizz. Jizz. I feel like that's filth as well. I think people would agree that is filth. Oh, well, now that I know we're not calling people by their names, I didn't know I was going that far. Well, totally. That's just ridiculous.

45:39Keyzie:But just on that front, by the way, we're going to go to the big pole and see the results. Keezy, please.

45:44Mike Minogue:So, Jase, hang on. Can I just add? So you would rather change your name to Jizz than disagree with Mogi?

45:53Keyzie:I haven't changed my name to anything. It's one of my names. Yes. Hoity Jizz. Jizz Meister. Yeah. Big Jizz. Hoity Janus. What was the one you came up with the other day? It was great. Oh, was it this one?

46:10Keyzie:No. No, I don't think it was that one.

46:14Mike Minogue:Okay. Up next, the results of the big poll, is the big show too filthy? Yes or no, you can vote at the Hauraki Big Show Instagram story. In the meantime, here's Soundgarden. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki. Yeah.

46:32Keyzie:Feel that groove. That is sick. It is a tune, actually, which makes a change for them. The chillies? Yes. The Big Pole.

46:50Keyzie:Doosh, doosh. Now, at the beginning of the show.

46:55Mike Minogue:You're on the big show, by the way, on Radio Hodaki. Oh, yeah, yeah. What's the date, Keezy? 3rd of July. What's the time? 14 minutes past six.

47:04Keyzie:Now, at the start of the show, we were discussing the fact that we feel that too much filth is. Well, how do you feel? You feel. We feel that too much filth is infiltrating our show and we need to do better. You feel. I feel like there's to be more. So we decided to have a filth-free show. Yes. We put it to the big poll. Is there too much filth on the big show? Now, before you get to that. Yes. I just want to point out on my show rundown sheet here. I've been popping in and out maybe. You've been hanging off that vape every song. Popping in and out. And I've come back in and I've seen that my show rundown is covered in filth.

47:49some child, some immature kid has drawn all sorts of unnecessary images

48:00Keyzie:on my show run day. Who did that?

48:02Mike Minogue:Which image in particular? I'm not going to specify the image. Well, you need to describe it for the listeners. Who do you think drew them, man? You. That's shocking. Nail on the head, Jase. That's all I'll say. So we're going to have to pull up some videos so Hoody Jay can see the cold, hard truth. But this is a problem that I've got here is Jay sees me in a terrible light. He thinks I'm beyond help. You know, over the course of the show, there's been one person that's repeatedly been bringing filth into it. That's Keezy. That's true. He's got two and a half marks against his name for bringing in filth.

48:37He's also been the one that's responsible for drawing on that over there. Well, I've been completely guilt-free this entire show. Yeah, man. Completely guilt-free. As have I. Setting the example. But you have been casting aspersions, Jase. True.

48:52Keyzie:So accusations have been flying. Now, you two have had a combative relationship since day one. Jase is always stealing things off Keezy. All sorts of things have been going on over the years, and this is Keezy's opportunity to do the same back to you, and that's what he's done. So you think that I would just draw... I'm going to be honest. This is your opportunity to be honest, mate, because we are just going to bring up the video. Can I

49:15Mike Minogue:A phallus

49:16Keyzie:You think I'm just going to draw a phallus Can I phallus And this was my This was my concern G'day phallus Because I was talking about the fact I was talking about the fact That Kesey when he first started the show Was a young You know Country kid What do you mean country

49:35Mike Minogue:I grew up on a lifestyle block Just outside of Totem Avocado farming An avocado Orchard Yeah plantation No it was in small orchard

49:43Keyzie:And now he comes into work and there's just filth pouring out of his mouth continuously. And yes, Moggy, I hold you entirely responsible for that. Despite the fact Keezy himself said that his wife has got a foul mouth on her.

49:57Mike Minogue:No, that's not what I said. My wife, from time to time, doesn't mind a filthy joke. Yeah, she's filthy. As long as it's a clever one. Like what? Like a clever Keezy one, you know? Like, g'day, fellas. Yeah, that's quite good. X for hoity J, please, a mark against his name, laughing at stuff like that. No, I said that's quite a good joke. Now, listen, Jase. We haven't got to the big poll result yet. Gut feeling, what do you think? So the question was, is there too much filth on the big show, yes or no? What do you think? Now, now, now, before this comes out, is this binding? What is this? Yes. Because if this is a decent result, I don't want to hear another word about it.

50:29Yeah, so Jase, you've just got to park it. You have to suck it up. All right, park it. You have to suck it hard.

50:34Keyzie:Okay, so what do you think? I think it's going to be a resounding yes. There's too much filth? Yes. What do you reckon? And what kind of percentage do you think we're looking at? I'm saying 70-30, yes, there's way too much filth. 70 % of people that listen to the big show and have answered this poll agree with you to the tune of 70 to 30. Yeah. Righto.

50:52Mike Minogue:94 % say no, there's not too much filth. 94%. Right. And there's a 6 % margin of error. Pugs told me. What?

51:03Keyzie:I was going to say something about a 6 % margin of error.

51:07Mike Minogue:Yeah, right.

51:07Keyzie:But it was filthy, so I won't.

51:08Mike Minogue:No, go for it because people love it.

51:10Keyzie:Now, people want to hear it. No, I can't. Because I'm not even sure what it was.

51:16Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.

51:20Keyzie:Yes, indeed. Pluto there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Friday evening. The time is 6.26. Hey, fellas, can we have a bit of rugby union chat? Sure.

51:41Mike Minogue:First game for Dave Rennie this weekend, fellas. Is he playing? Nah.

51:47Keyzie:We did consider it at one point, Mogi, subbing him on, but no, he said he'd prefer to focus on the coaching. That makes sense, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. He'd be one of our best player coaches ever if we got him on board. Yeah, totally. I am absolutely fizzing about this Test match. It's always good to see the All Blacks. I lost a bit of faith a few years ago, and I was a bit frustrated with the last season. Yeah. Felt we were a bit directionless, a bit aimless. Do you remember we were crabbing across the field? There's a lot of crabbing, and you're looking at the players, and you're going, these players are amazing.

52:19What's going on?

52:20Keyzie:I remember us banging on continuously about the lack of game plan. Yeah. We didn't seem to know what we were doing, which was really perplexing, given the much heralded arrival of Razor to take over the coach. I was going, we're going to be the best team in the world by far now, and we were pretty bad. But at the same time, we didn't lose by too much against South Africa. Apart from one game where we got an absolute high rating. Oh, when we got a record loss down in Wellington for memory. So other than the fact that we got a record loss, we went really well.

52:51Mike Minogue:Well, to be honest, the thing that surprised me with Razor's tenure was the good players making really basic mistakes, all the time. I couldn't figure that out. Like dropping the ball more than they normally would and just little things like that. They haven't got the confidence keys. Is that what it is? Confidence, you reckon? They were confused

53:06Keyzie:about what they were supposed to be doing. Is that what it was? Yeah, I think so. Have they been catching it and then passing it or passing it and then catching it?

53:13Mike Minogue:That is confusing. Am I kicking this? Yeah. So how do you think we're going to go, fellas, against the French? I think we're going to pump them by 40. Wow.

53:22Keyzie:I'm feeling very good and I'm really excited about the prospect of this team. and I'm excited about seeing how Reuben Love goes, first five, because it's been a bit of a sort of problem for us. It's not a problem, but I feel like we haven't quite got the answer there. I mean, there's Bodie, of course. There's DB. They're both great players. Who's DB? McKenzie, sorry. But I just feel like we need a young fella in there who's got a future ahead of him. We blood him now. We get him in there, get him ready for the World Cup. Absolutely. It can't hurt, can it? Well, it's a huge bastard of a weekend of sport in general, fellas.

54:00It certainly is.

54:01Mike Minogue:Just quickly, if you're down in Christchurch, though, for the game, tomorrow evening, Minaya and G-Lane are going to be there commentating the game live from the stadium. If you go to Robbie's Lichfield, L-I-C-H field, is that Lichfield? Lichfield, yeah. Yeah, Lichfield. 2 p.m., booking essential, text black to 3236 to secure a spot. It's like a pre-game party thing. Right. And the ACC will be there. Well, this is what I'm going to be doing all weekend, because we've got the FIFA World Cup on as well, fellas. Yes. So tomorrow morning I'm getting up, I'm watching Australia versus Egypt. Then straight after that, 10 o 'clock, Argentina versus Cape Verde.

54:37You know where that is? No. Then it's Colombia versus Ghana. That'll be a good game. Oh, it'll be bloody good. What makes it say that? So that finishes up about 2 o 'clock, something like that. Yes. Then, in terms of the rugby, we've got New Zealand versus France. All right. You've heard about that? Yes. Australia versus Ireland. Japan v Italy Fiji vs Wales South Africa vs England Argentina vs Scotland All happening overnight It's not bad at all And then of course that takes you straight into the next day Where Canada play Morocco in the football And then Paraguay play France

55:14Mike Minogue:Jeez a lot of sport

55:16Keyzie:I think I'll be in the lounge all weekend With my hot pot With my noodles and dumplings And your vape They are not going to smoke inside. And your trackies. Yeah, definitely my trackies.

55:29Mike Minogue:Here's She-Hart. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.

55:34Keyzie:The Cure there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Friday evening. Fellas. Fellas. Let's give out some advice for the weekend. Be Paddy Nips 69 at gmail.com.

55:48Mike Minogue:Get in touch with the fellas.

55:51Keyzie:With the fellas.

55:53Mike Minogue:Meet Paddy Nips 69 at gmail.com. We're after your advice, questions. If it's read on the show,$50 or some sort of prize. Worth doing. 100 % anonymous. And we're starting to run low, fellas. And also just a reminder too, keep it radio friendly. There's a lot of absolute filth coming through. Right. That you can't read on the radio, even though we like filth. Yeah. Well, I don't. Well, Jase doesn't apparently, but some of it's just too gross. So just, but send it through. Good chance you'll get a prize and get read out on the show. Great. stuff.

56:22Keyzie:We're for fellas! I hate that, man. It gives me a fright. I really don't like it. But Jase loves doing it. I know, he loves it. I hate it. It's like you're sneezing. It gives me a heart attack. But sneezing can't be helped, Jase. It can be quieter. It can't because it breaks my ribs. Oh. Yeah, I used to stop it, but now it hurts me too much. But if you want me to be physically... But you're adding that... Yeah, true. I could probably tone it down. I'll do my best. I will be really appreciative of that.

56:53Mike Minogue:Are you going to do your best to not yell with the fellas midway through? What is the question, Keezy? G'day there, fellas. This is from Anonymous. Bit of a dilemma here. I moved overseas and one of my good mates has got himself tied down now that I'm not there. It's clear that he is settling and they're not a good match and he is far too good for her. How do I approach this? Cheers, Anonymous.

57:16Keyzie:We get a lot of these mates hooking up with people that they don't like.

57:21Mike Minogue:It is a very common thing. We have, yeah. We have had that a few times. Especially when you go from the, and I've had this in my life, where you go from the, you guys live together, your best friends, you do everything together, and then all of a sudden it stops. Yeah.

57:34Keyzie:But I don't even know that, I think it's just an age thing. You know what I mean? I mean, inevitably you do move away from, I mean, best mates don't stay in each other's company forever ad infinitum. And this person's moved overseas. Yes.

57:51Mike Minogue:Yeah.

57:51Keyzie:You know what I mean? It's a natural phenomenon. And often what people do is they connect the person that they're hooked up with as the reason for the problem. But it's just a natural, you know, it's a natural. It moves on. You know, I had an interesting chat with somebody the other day about Wellington, because I used to live down there in the early 2000s. And God, it was a great time. You had great movies being made down there, great restaurants and bars, great music coming out of there, the best music in the country would have been coming out of Wellington at that time. And saying, I said to this mate of mine, do you miss it?

58:26And he said, no, I miss the era. So what you miss is being 25, having no responsibilities, going out, partying, doing all that sort of stuff. So when you go back there, it's not the same because you're not the same. It's never going to be the same. So what this guy is probably mourning is the loss of a friendship, a loss of a time in his life. But it's over, man. He hates you.

58:48Keyzie:Oh, doesn't he? I totally concur with that, though, Mogi. And I was just the other day just reflecting on an era, a time in my life, which was great, you know, and it was parties most nights. The 1930s. Going out most nights, going to gigs all the time.

59:06Mike Minogue:Those times just move on, man. But he's saying it's clear that he is settling and they're not a good match and he's way too good for her. Yeah. That sounds like a bit of, I don't know, that's an interesting one, isn't it? Because he's overseas, how does he know? It's true. Well he probably knows the person, yeah.

59:21Keyzie:Well this is what I'm talking about is because he's just feeling that resentment that they don't have that relationship anymore and so therefore she and or he is to blame. But he may be settling and that happens but you've got no control. No, and unfortunately you do. But also, if you've got a problem with it, talk to them about it. I wouldn't go email and ask. What do we know?

59:42Mike Minogue:Nah shit, because then we'll read it on the radio and I mean sure you might get a backbone shoot or something But, you know, that's the worst thing you can do. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.

1:00:07Keyzie:Jase, stop saying. Well, that's it. Yes, Mikey. Well, there's just something here, Jase. We've had a text from 13483. Phil Free is going to be this good. You guys might be onto something. You have to say you've been particularly bloody awesome today. There you go. But that's one of the six, isn't it? That's one of the six percent. Yeah, yeah.

1:00:24Mike Minogue:94 % said morph. Well, not morph, but just stick the course. Stay the course. Speaking of staying the course, podcast outro comes out at 7.30 tonight, and today we discussed potentially getting new T-shirts made.

1:00:39Keyzie:I will fully acknowledge the sex swing. And the dillies. The dillies. But, you know, that's not... And talking about having a massive downstairs. That's you guys setting me up for that. That is you guys going, go on, Jay, say it.

1:00:55Mike Minogue:You can lead a horse to water, but we're not making a drink, man. You can't make him j**t. And look, even me, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him j**t.

1:01:08Can we get that on a T-shirt, pugs?

1:01:12Mike Minogue:Can you order 1 ,000 T-shirts?

1:01:14Keyzie:You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him j**t.

1:01:19Mike Minogue:Can you write that one down, Joe? Oh, I love that off the back of that no filth comment. That is, that would make a great T-shirt.

1:01:28Keyzie:I want to get it made.

1:01:29Mike Minogue:Yeah. No, you won't.

1:01:31Keyzie:What will be the picture? Just have a horse looking at you? I'm trying to think of the look on the horse's face. I'm thinking of a Gavin Larson sort of horse. Yes. No, Gary Larson. Fast side. Big bulges. What are you up to this weekend? Keezy, what are you up to?

1:01:48Mike Minogue:Why are you going straight to me? You usually go to Mogi first. He was thinking about the horse's face. I thought I'd move on. I'm having a chill one with my wife. We're going to start going looking now that we're about to put a house on the market officially. We're going to start open homing, looking at houses. So we're going to go around and look at a few houses. That's always a good time. Even if they're not necessarily, when you're looking at it online, perfect. and always just go and have a look. Just be wary though, Keezy, because somebody might say, well, at least one of yours is happy to be here.

1:02:17Yeah, man. But don't react badly to that.

1:02:19Mike Minogue:Yeah, that real estate agent sucked. That was a few weeks ago. I hate that guy. It was a few months ago now even, I think. Yeah, it was years ago. The house is still for sale, by the way, because he sucks.

1:02:28Keyzie:They always look better on the listings, I find. Yeah. You know what I said? And you go, well, that looks really nice. And you turn up and it's a complete shitter. Yeah.

1:02:35Mike Minogue:What are you doing this weekend, Jase?

1:02:37Keyzie:Oh, well, having had that sports chat, I'm going to be watching a lot of sport. Yep. And walking around and eating. Same here. It's not a beautiful weekend, but I'd like to get out and about a little bit. But, yeah, definitely some sport. Yeah, nice. I want to get involved in a bit more of the football because I've only really watched a couple of All Whites games. But now it's getting to the sharp end. I've watched none of it, and I used to love the World Cup. What's that about, Maggie? And the times are great. Yes. It couldn't be better. I know. During the day. God. Hey, thanks for listening to the show.

1:03:11Keyzie:Check out the Instagram. Check out the podcast. Till Monday. We'll see you later. See you later.
