0:32Mike Minogue:Crave-worthy street food, freshly made with Rebegir. Rebegir.
0:39Keyzie:Mogey, mogey, mogey. You must be pretty excited for the upcoming weekend. You're wearing your Waz scarf there and a puffer jacket. God, you're looking good. How's life? Going pretty grousey, you mad dog, you sick son of a bee. Look, let me be the first to say it to you today, Jase. up the Waz yeah man up the Waz big game tomorrow the nation is feeling it they're excited we've got wear it for the Waz going on today everybody's dressed up like we're members of the team yeah man you're about to run on the field and do a haka I went out especially and got my got my Waz top to me with the fellas united for the safety you've got a real Wade Egan vibe Jase and by that I mean you strike me as someone who would be easily concussed.
1:32Mike Minogue:Totally. How you going, Keezy? Yeah, good as gold, man. Pretty fizzed up for tomorrow. Of course, I'll be going along to the home final. Cannot wait. 24 hours time. I will be at the game already.
1:44Keyzie:Yeah, man.
1:45Mike Minogue:Warming up on the sidelines. Getting ready to get stuck in. But before then, mate, we've got a huge show. Massive. Massive show. Yeah, yeah. Very Waz focused, of course. A lot of freebies. A lot of great chat as well, eh, Jase? You're looking good, man. Yeah, for sure, man.
1:56Keyzie:Thank you, thank you. You're great. Yeah, 24 hours from now, I'll be pacing in my apartment going, come on, fellas, come on, you can do this. Getting all fired up, maybe getting a few snacks ready, things like that. Who are they playing? Pardon? Oh, the Dolphins. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. They're going to get a deduction.
2:15Mike Minogue:I hope so. Hey, Mogie, what's coming up on the show?
2:20Keyzie:What's happening on the big show with old Mogie? Well, you know it, fellas. We had a little bit of an incident earlier in the week with Charlie Gubb. He couldn't make it to give his feelings, could he? No. On last week's game. But he'll be with us today to preview the Dolphins. We've also got the throbber because it's Friday. Yes. We do the throbber every Friday. Friday. That's one of the rules. We haven't got many rules around here, but that's one of them. And coming up next, got a hell of a new storyline that we'll be running through the show. I can't quite believe it's happening, but it's happening.
2:50It's definitely happening. Keezy and Hoity J are going to play a season of rugby next year. Yeah, look, I have my concerns.
2:58Mike Minogue:Nah, you'll be sweet as, man. We'll get into that next.
3:00Keyzie:Huge. In the meantime, here's the red hot chili peppers.
3:06Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
3:11Keyzie:Oasis there on the Hauraki Big Show this Friday afternoon. The time is 14 minutes past four o 'clock.
3:17Mike Minogue:Fellas, pretty exciting news. Pretty exciting stuff that's developed on the Big Show the last couple of days. Me and Jase have been throwing the old footy ball around in the studio here. Had a lot of fun. Jase has got a bullet pass on him. Yeah, I do. That's true.
3:31Keyzie:I do.
3:31Mike Minogue:And the thing is, with Jase being –
3:33Keyzie:Da-do! Straight in the gullet. And Kesey always shells it. Yeah, he does.
3:38Mike Minogue:Yeah, yeah, I always shell it, yeah. Knock on. Yeah, true. See, and Jase, he knows all the terminology. He's 39. Ma 'anunu's 44. He's still out there playing. Yeah. I'd love to join you in this, fellas, but I'm too old. I'm pushing 50. Yeah, well, no, you're too old. You're pushing 50, mate. I would worry about Chimoge. Yeah, whereas Jase is still 39. And the thing is, the way you deliver that nut. Yeah, man. That cherry. That straight into the old bread basket. You do. You have got at least one more season of good footy left, I think. At least one season. And it's exciting because I've been thinking about playing again as well.
4:13Mike Minogue:I haven't played properly since I left high school. Well, ever.
4:16Keyzie:I was going to say ever, Keezy.
4:17Mike Minogue:Yeah, yeah, true, true, yeah. But the good news is, Jase, we're going to change that, aren't we? Are we? Yes, because you and I, we were throwing the old pigskin around and we've decided we're going to play a season of footy next season. So what we need now on 3483, every text in the draw for 50 bucks re-burger, suggestions if you know a good club that we could play for. Now we're talking. Obviously, James. Now we're getting down to the nitty gritty. Straight up. Because we've got to sign up. We've got to get a coach on. We've got to talk about off-season training, how to best get – because when was the last time you did contact training?
4:48Yeah, well, that's the thing, Keezy.
4:50Keyzie:I have concerns. What about Keith? And I don't want to think this. Yes. But I can't help but think it. Yes. What's that, man? Big dog? You're trying to get me killed. What are you talking about? Can I paint a picture with words if I might? Right? We're playing a game of rugby. Kesey there at the base of a rut gets the ball, does one of his big floaty. No, no, no. You're the halfback. You're the halfback. Does a big floaty hospital pass to Hoity J standing at first five.
5:24Mike Minogue:Why would you be first five?
5:26Keyzie:And the opposition, a 108 kg blindside flanker at full pace, nails Hoity J in the midriff and or chest and nails him into the ground. I'm not going to live through that, Kesey.
5:43Mike Minogue:But you're describing it all wrong, Jase. First of all, you're halfback. You've got that bullet pass. Sure, you can only pass one way. You can't pass with your left hand. But you'll be the one delivering it. So you can be smart. You can just be selective. You don't have to run unless you see a gap like Cam Roygaard. There's always going to be – and I share your concerns, Jase. But I've got to say I don't think it's going to be your physical prowess or presence that's going to be the problem here. I think it's going to be Kesey's ineptitude. What do you mean? His unkness that's going to potentially put your life at risk.
6:17those great big lobbing passes. Yeah, yeah. When he comes into contact, just heaving it over his head and hoping somebody else will... Because he panics. He panics. Yeah, I panic. And that's what's great.
6:26Keyzie:And it's the... We're going to play rugby. It's a big floating Keezy... 100%. Well, I'll tell you another concern that I genuinely... A big Keezy floater. So we join a team. This is my other concern, Keezy. Yeah. We join a team together, the fellas. Yeah. Hoody J at halfback. And old Keezy, week after week riding the pine. That's fine. And I just would feel terrible. Yes.
6:53Mike Minogue:Jase, I would feel honoured watching you go to work, man. But it's about you guys doing it together, I think. Well, that's right. We can find the right team. And the other concern, of course, is the only time that we've gone through any kind of, I don't know, physical challenge, Keesey's pulled up lame. I know. You know, within 20 metres. And so what's going to happen? You do all this off-season training. Yeah, man. And then old Hoity Jays left there to lead the team on his own lonesome. I'll still be there every game, man. I'll still be there sideline. I'll still be there supporting you. But the asthma.
7:22Mike Minogue:No, I've got that under control. I'll bring my Simbacore and my Ventolin.
7:25Keyzie:Because I also have a fear. I can just see Kesey, you know, we're 10 minutes into the game. He's on all fours, you know, looking over his shoulder, just wheezing, you know what I mean?
7:36Mike Minogue:Over the ball, protecting the ball. Jays, look, okay, you can picture all these negative things all you want, man, but all I see is me and you raising the trophy at the end of the season. Can I say, there are things that worry you, but there is an opportunity at glory here. Does it? And what a glory it would be. Greatness, Jase. Have you ever heard of greatness? So 3483, text us through. If you know of a club that could use Hoity J and myself for next year.
8:01Keyzie:Where are you playing, by the way? What's your position?
8:04Mike Minogue:Every text in the draw for$50 worth of Reberger. Well, as you say, I'm a big unco. So we'll get into that next as well, as well as a few texts there. Yeah, okay. I'm loving it, man. This is... It's going to be great, man. This is really, really good. And I can't wait to see you in action because you've told me all about being a tough little bastard and the captain of the first 15 and blah, blah, man. It's going to be awesome.
8:23Keyzie:Yeah, sounds good, man. Here's Foo Fighters.
8:27Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
8:33Keyzie:Hold on the Big Show this Friday afternoon. The time is 4.26.
8:39Mike Minogue:Hey, huge news out of the Big Show. if you've just tuned in. Keezy and Hoity J are going to play a season of footy together next year. We're talking rugby union, right? Union.
Read the full transcript
8:47Keyzie:Yeah, that's all I do, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't do league.
8:50Mike Minogue:Nah, I love league, but I never really played it, so we'll go union. And people are texting in on 3483.
8:55Keyzie:I don't think you're hard enough for league, Keezy.
8:57Mike Minogue:Totally, man, you're right. But the good news is we'll find out if I'm hard enough for union next year when me and you play a season together.
9:02Keyzie:Yeah, great.
9:03Mike Minogue:So the texts are coming in, 3483 suggestions of clubs. Every text, of course, in the draw for 50 bucks, Reburger. the Unefedo RFC Div 3, reasonable rugby, great bar. You know, that sounds like us. That sounds good. Although, Jase, you strike me as more of a, like, Div 3 is probably too low for you, right? Yeah, probs. I'd say so.
9:23Keyzie:I'm thinking more prems.
9:24Mike Minogue:Well, that's the thing. We should aim for prems. Well, you've got to get along for the trolls then, don't you? Well, 100%.
9:30Keyzie:Well, I mean, even if, you know, having me in the prems, I'll draw the crowds, top radio DJ, comedic legend, And I'll get a few laughs, that's for sure.
9:41Mike Minogue:Yeah, for sure. Some of the funniest work you've ever done, man. Someone here is suggesting the Pakuranga presence. Once again, I think we're talking Prem still. You're still in your prime.
9:53Keyzie:I used to play for Pakuranga, actually. Really? Back in the day. Yeah, truly. When I went home in the weekends from boarding school, I played for Pakuranga.
10:02Mike Minogue:Right, okay. So a while ago. I'm on the board there, actually. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Honours board. Yeah, right, four.
10:09Keyzie:Oh, just for being awesome.
10:12Mike Minogue:The Huntley Ho Bags. Looking for a couple of tidy rugby club. Could do with the old Keezy Jizz combo. That's what people are calling it. The Keezy Jizz combo. Keezy and the Jizz. I could see you. No. What? Stop it. Marist Albion Beacons down in Christchurch. Yeah, bit of a travel. I think this one's the winner, Keezy. I don't know if you've got your eye on this one here. But this seems like hand in glove. Can I say that? The Auckland Women's Correctional Facility Rugby Club is a mint idea, according to this texter. Nice bunch and supportive atmosphere. That sounds lovely. But once again, Jase, you're so gunned based on everything you've told us.
10:56Mike Minogue:Yeah, but it's not about being the best. Is it about that? No, it's not. It's about being part of a team, Kesey. Is it about inspiring people? Yeah, I think so. Being part of a community? But, Mogi, Jase is... 40 J, best in the world, A number one. And so while he's 39 and still has a couple of good years left, I want to see him at the top. I want to see him at the pinnacle, at the peak of his powers. And so you'll be halfback, right?
11:17Keyzie:Well, I guess so, yeah. Where would you play? That's what I want to know. Yeah, it's a good question. So obviously you couldn't play prop. No. Hooker.
11:26Mike Minogue:No, I'm not a front rower. You've got the arse for a prop. Thank you. You've got the booty. Yeah. I've got that booty. Yeah, you've got that big old. Got that cake. Yeah. But you can be a caked up second five, for example. I think Locke's probably the thing that makes sense to me. Now, I say I don't think Flank is it because it requires... Skill. Thank you. Thank you. Locke, did you say? Whereas Locke, you know, one of your drives, you've got to pick somebody up in a line out. That's all right. Yeah. Or you get picked up. Yeah, yeah. You go all right with that. Putting your head in between a couple of big fellas there.
12:00I can do that.
12:01Keyzie:Yeah, you could do that for sure. The only issue I have with him being Locke, You'd only have one lock for your side because Kesey can't catch. What do you mean? One option in the line out? Yeah, yeah.
12:11Mike Minogue:But that's okay, Jase. We can just have one option. At the end of the day, that lock will pass it straight down to Hoity J, who's going to spread it wide.
12:17Keyzie:I'm thinking more on the wing. Just get him away from the majority of the game and just put him there as a kind of physical block.
12:26Mike Minogue:That's 100%. You know what I mean? At the end of the day, it's mostly about you playing car back. I thought it was about the two of you playing together. It feels like it's getting more and more away from what you wanted to do because the big attraction for you, Jase, is playing with Keezy. Sounds like Keezy only wants to get you out on the field and then he's going to abandon you. Mogi, you could not be more wrong, okay? It is about Jase and I playing a season of footy together. At the end of the day, I'm not good enough, so I might have to be out on the wing. Yeah. Well, then I think what has to happen is you have to play for a team that is at a level where you get to play with Jase, Keezy, and Keezy is allowed to be on the field, Jase, because it's about you two playing together.
13:05Like you're under 10s.
13:06Mike Minogue:No, you're joking. I'm trying to take this seriously, Jase. You're right. Maybe a Div 2, Div 3 team where Jase will be the best player. Div 2, Div 3. He'll be the best player, but it'll be hopefully a grade that I can keep up.
13:19Keyzie:Yeah.
13:19Mike Minogue:You know what I mean? Imagine you're half back on first five, man. How cool would that be?
13:23Keyzie:Yeah, let's do it, Keezy.
13:24Mike Minogue:Yeah, great. Keep the text coming, 3483. If you've got any suggestions, every single text in the drawer for 50 bucks, Reburg. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. One simple question. One weekend of a lifetime. Would you rather?
13:42Keyzie:Yes, indeed, was or cars. You decide, New Zealand. Two great prizes.
13:47Mike Minogue:That's right. Either the NRL Grand Final, three nights over in Sydney there. The Randwick races on the Saturday. A boat cruise to the Grand Final on the Sunday there. Or Bathurst with shuttle service to and from Mount Panorama, both for Saturday and Sunday. Flies, hotels, everything taken care of. Yeah, beautiful. Fellas, it's three weeks until the grand final. Yeah, man. Three weeks and a couple of days there, fellas. That's not far, is it? It's not. That's not long to wait at all. God. I'm already freaking out about it. I'm freaking out, man. I'm going to be so nervous. Yeah, I know. It's not going to be...
14:21If they get into the final and I go, I'm not going to enjoy a single minute of it.
14:27Mike Minogue:Right. You'll be freaking out. It'll be like the 2011 Rugby World Cup final. Yes. Like, that was the last time I was just freaking out and hated every second of it, but loved it.
14:36Keyzie:You see, the only reason I don't go is because I don't want what happened at Magic Round to occur. Oh, yeah. Which is where I'm really into the whars and just backbones, constantly going back and forth, getting beersies the whole game. Yeah, exactly. Oh, sorry, mate. Sorry, mate. Sorry, mate. I'm like, oh, they scored! Oh, I missed it!
14:55Mike Minogue:Yeah. Yeah, Keezy and Pugs are in the way again, getting more beers. Yeah, and hot dogs. Responsibly. Let's go to the Lions, fellas.
15:03Keyzie:G'day, Alan, you mad bastard. How's life? Not too bad, mate. Good on you. Mad, mate. What's your plan for your Friday night there, Alan? I thought that was Alan saying. Yeah, nice.
15:14Mike Minogue:A couple of beers. Oh, yeah. Yeah, fair enough, Alan. Responsible beers? Yeah, definitely. A couple of hot dogs as well, maybe. Yeah, good on you.
15:21Keyzie:What do you do for a crust, by the way, Alan? I'm a hairdresser. Oh, yeah. Back bang. Good stuff. Short back and sides, man. What's in style at the moment for a young stud like Kesey?
15:34Mike Minogue:Oh, yeah. Short back and hard luck, I think. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I feel like Alan's not actually a hairdresser, but I'm not sure. Hey, Alan, Bathurst or grand final, mate? Grand final, mate, for sure. Good on you, mate.
15:48Keyzie:You're in the draw. Stay on the line. Punt's a look after you. Good on you, mate. Thanks, mate. G'day, Sam, you mad bastard. How's life? Yeah, good, thanks. How about you? Yeah, very good. Thank you, Sam. You got big plans for the weekend? Yeah, heading to Napier to watch the NPC. It's my brother's hundredth. Oh, how good.
16:07Mike Minogue:Who's your brother? Jeff Cridge. He's a shocking bastard.
16:14Keyzie:Terrible. He's terrible. What position does he play, Sam? He's a lock. Oh, yeah. Like Keezy. Yeah, like old Keezy. Yeah, does he have a...
16:23Mike Minogue:Can you teach him a thing or two? Yeah, I could if you want. Does he have a massive dump truck like I do? Oh, I don't know. His ass. He's my brother. Yeah, I know. It's not sexual. It's just like, has he got a massive... Has he got a big old dump truck on? When you were sitting next to him on the couch at home, was it always annoying because he was so big?
16:44Keyzie:Yeah, probably. There we go. Yeah, good on you, Sam. What do you want, Sam? Wires or cars? Wires, please. Yeah, good on you, mate. Stay on the line and old Pugsam will look after you, alright? Can I make an observation, man? What's up? We're getting a lot of woman callers. Yes. Females, I call them. They can't wait to get involved with, by and large, a little bit of footy. A little bit of Bathurst as well. Yeah, but they're desperate to get involved as well. It's good stuff, isn't it? It's across the divide.
17:11Mike Minogue:It is. Bloody oats. Hey, all thanks to boystrip.co.nz. If you want to go to Bathurst, still some packages available. If you want to go to the grand final, you're shit out of luck. Yeah. Here's the strokes. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
17:26Keyzie:Living colour there on the Hauraki Big Show this Friday afternoon. The time is ten minutes to five. Fellas, let's talk TV. What's on the telly with Mike Minogue.
17:41Keyzie:Yeah. That's right. That was badly timed, that little cough there. Don't watch anything last night, Phil. A little bit of work, a little bit of work.
17:49Mike Minogue:I thought you were going to have a bath and read John Togood's biography. Yeah, I did. I worked. That's how you do it. Yeah. That's how you do it. Would you get up to taste something less miserable than that? Well, I had a great night, actually, Kesey.
18:05Keyzie:Well, you're saying I didn't. Is that what you're saying? Yes, I was saying that.
18:10Mike Minogue:What did you watch?
18:11Keyzie:Well, nothing either, really, but had a very, very nice romantic dinner with my wife. What made it romantic? How do you keep the romance alive after all these affairs? It's interesting, isn't it, when you go out to dinner with someone you've known for nigh on 30 years. I mean, she's got nothing to tell you. It's like, what do you talk about? Nothing. What do you talk about? Nothing.
18:34Mike Minogue:Talk about old Keezy and Mogi.
18:35Keyzie:Well, we did mention your lovely wife because she bumped into her in the supermarket.
18:40Mike Minogue:Oh, yeah, that's true.
18:41Keyzie:How long did that chat last for? Oh, about 10 seconds. And then we sort of awkwardly shuffled the cutlery. Can we do an improv where we It's your wife and you Out for dinner last night And we do an improv of what the conversation was I'd love to do that Can we? Sure So I ran into Keezy's missus there last night Well no it was his wife talking Yeah they've got the same voice Oh she does too Yeah she does
19:07Mike Minogue:That's where you get it from That's weird because her voice is slightly deeper than yours as well
19:11Keyzie:And then old Mogey Yeah What did you watch Keezy? Keezy?
19:18Mike Minogue:My wife and I are absolutely loving season two of Outrageous Fortune. Yeah, man. Once again, if you aren't aware, I've never seen it, and we've just watched season one, and it's a great show. So good. Jethro's just taken over Corky's practice. Corky, of course, played by Hoody J. You'd be in jail for the meth, wouldn't you? Yeah, I think so. Something like that, yeah, because last year you were addicted to meth or something. So I'm excited for Corky to make another appearance, because you do come back, right?
19:44Keyzie:I do, but I've got bad news for you, Keezy, from recollection, and I could be wrong. All good news. Season three.
19:51Mike Minogue:Season three, okay. But it's just great. They keep, all the characters that they've established just keep being interwoven. Yes. Keeps being interwoven. And also, Anthony Starr playing Van and Jethro. So good.
20:02Keyzie:Yeah. He's a very talented fellow. He's amazing. He's gone on to do quite extraordinary things. I don't know if you've noticed.
20:09Mike Minogue:Yeah, well, he's in the boys, obviously, as Homelander. But I think it was Pugs had a good point. Homelander switches in and out of these two personality types at will, and he's amazing. It's because he played Van and Jethro for so long. Yes. It's such a good show.
20:23Keyzie:He got exhausted by it in the end. He was like, enough, enough.
20:27Mike Minogue:To be fair, Van seems to be almost the central person to the plot. Yes. He's involved with everything. So it would be very, very exhausting to me. I mean, Jase, you're exhausted after being like the 44th person on Brokenwood. You know what I mean?
20:42Keyzie:Yeah, in the background. In the background. It was him.
20:46Mike Minogue:Watch it on TVNZ+. Every single episode is there. Get stuck into it.
20:50Keyzie:Here's Kings of Leon.
20:52Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
20:56Keyzie:Yeah. Kings of Leon there. Wait for me on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Friday afternoon. The time, four minutes to five o 'clock.
21:05Mike Minogue:Fellas, ahead of tomorrow's huge home final for the Warriors. Bet you have got old Keezy to host another pot. So the pot, basically how it works is you download the Betcher app, go to BetSocial, type in backbone, you join the pot, you give Keezy some money, I then punt it, and then we all have the big thumbs up and we all go home stoked because old Keezy's onto it when it comes to it. He's done it again. He's done it again. So if you are keen to get involved, as I say, go to the Betcher app, BetSocial, type in backbone, all one word, join the pot, and we'll crack into it tomorrow night for the WARS.
21:38Mike Minogue:R18, of course, bet responsibly.
21:40Keyzie:Yeah, good stuff, Keezy. Hey, heaps coming up after 5 o 'clock. We're going to be speaking to Charlie Gubb.
21:45Mike Minogue:Yeah.
21:46Keyzie:About the Waz. He's going to be fired up, isn't he? Fired up.
21:49Mike Minogue:And speaking of fired up for the Waz, that's the theme of today's Throbber. Yeah, man. Throbber. Songs to fire up the Waz. Yeah, boy. Oh, is that what it was? Oh, Chase. The Hauraki Beat Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.
22:11Keyzie:It's the Horeki Big Show's Friday Throbber. Doge, doge. Look at Jase. Jase is trying to act like he's forgetting to do the doge, doge. Yeah, man. That was good, man. Yeah, thanks, mate.
22:28Mike Minogue:So for those who don't know, for some reason we always say doge, doge. Yeah. Jase went through a phase of forgetting to do it, and now he's trying to pretend like he's going to forget and then do it anyway.
22:37Keyzie:Because it gets Keezy excited. It does. Or fired up, I'm not sure. I think it's you excited.
22:45Mike Minogue:Because he's like randomly pretending to look at his phone and then he quickly backs the microphone. What's this on my boat?
22:49Keyzie:Doge, doge. Hey, Friday thrubber. We each pick a tune. You decide which one you want to be the thrubber. First of two wins, fellas.
22:58Mike Minogue:Yeah, it's a song designed to get you fired up for the weekend. And for this weekend in particular, it's a song to fire the wahs up, man. Up the wahs. Yeah, man. So we're there. Who wants to go first? I'll go first, fellas. I'll go first, and this is a little tune that means a lot to me, and I think it'll mean a lot to a lot of people. You listen to this one with a beer in your hand, mate? It's going off. Break something tonight. I pack a chainsaw. I'm going to fuck your ass raw.
23:24Keyzie:And if my day keeps going this way, I just might break your breaking face tonight. Give me something free.
23:34Give me something free. Break stuff by Limp Bizkit, that is a goddamn tune.
23:39Keyzie:Good stuff, Mogey.
23:40Mike Minogue:Do you reckon that's what the wahs would be into, man?
23:42Keyzie:Yeah, I mean, break stuff up, Keezy. Smash them, bro. Smash them. Come on.
23:47Mike Minogue:I'll go next. Tomorrow, the Warriors are going to make the Dolphins cry. Oh, tomorrow. Never lead us.
24:01Keyzie:Warriors! Never lead us. See, we're leaders. Can you hear the Dolphins cry?
24:11Nothing will get the waz. Absolutely 100%. What? Don't? Spot on. Yeah, that was a... In terms of the theme. Yeah, it was cracking tune. An absolute all-time heap of shit tune.
24:24Mike Minogue:See, that's what I was doing. Pugs's thumbs upping me out there. The thing is, I don't vote, Keezy. That's right. I don't vote. No, but you can influence the vote. Ah, look. People are listening. People already have an opinion about that song. Yeah, that's true. And the thing, the pug's thumbing something doesn't mean anything, you know?
24:42Keyzie:Pug's thumbing something?
24:44Mike Minogue:Yeah. What did you choose, Jase?
24:46Keyzie:Bit of Bubba O 'Reilly.
24:48Mike Minogue:Out here in the fields I'll fall for my meals I'll get my back into my living The who? The whos would have been negative 40 when that came out. What is the theme? to get the Warriors fired up. Oh, right. Being out in the fields, breaking your back, earning your living. Oh, okay, good. That's good stuff. I like it.
25:17Keyzie:Seriously? Yeah, that's what it is. Okay.
25:20Mike Minogue:You didn't just pick a song and then just go, oh, crap.
25:23Keyzie:No, I promise you I didn't. I didn't. You put a lot of work into it, Keyeson. There were some lyrics that really resonated with me. But you decide, New Zealand. 0800 HODAKI in the meantime. Here's She-Han.
25:35Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki. It's the Hauraki Big Show's Friday Throbber.
25:49Keyzie:Doosh, doosh. That's good stuff. Yeah, man. We're looking for a tune to inspire the whas tomorrow, Phil. That's right. The whas.
26:01Mike Minogue:That's the theme of today's Friday Throbber. you of course vote on 0800 Hoducky. Mogi went first with some soggy biscuit.
26:21Mike Minogue:That's certainly getting fired up. Sorry, that's Limp Bizkit.
26:25Keyzie:I'd be pretty fired up if I had my skull candies on. Yeah, man. Listening to that in the changing rooms, I'd be fizzing.
26:31Mike Minogue:Well, that could be a reality next year, Jase, when we play footy, man. I'm excited. I went for a very literal song, Dolphins Cry, because that's what they're going to be doing after we beat them.
26:54Mike Minogue:Right on theme. Jase chose a song from 1971. Yeah, man.
27:00Keyzie:What are you saying, that there wasn't good tunes in the 70s, Keezy? No, not at all.
27:03Mike Minogue:I'm just saying that the oldest player on the Waz is probably how old, 33 or something? Kurt Capewell, maybe? Oh, he loves this track. Does he? He does, man. Bubba O 'Reilly.
27:26Mike Minogue:It's about farming. I love that song, to be fair. It was one of my three goat choices. Yeah, man.
27:33Keyzie:Hey, let's go to the phone lines. G'day, Charlie, you mad bastard. How's life?
27:38Mike Minogue:Oh, g'day, fellas.
27:39Keyzie:G'day, fellas. Yeah, good on you, mate. What are you running with there, Charlie? Oh, there's got to be only one option, eh? That's you, Roy J. Oh, boo. Barbara, all right. Nice, Charlie. How old are you, Charlie?
27:52Mike Minogue:26. Good on you, mate. You see, man? Hey. People know music from before they were born, man. Thank you. That's crazy, man. Well, do you remember Mogey? Well, Keezy, you like Inglebert Humperdinck. Why are you shocked that he likes... Exactly. Mogey, let's not compare The Who to Inglebert Humperdinck, one of the greatest performers. That's a great point. Let's not.
28:11Keyzie:Let's go to Andrew. G'day, Andrew. You're back, Bonehouse Life. G'day, Horty Jake. Good, mate. Good on you, mate. What are you running with there, Andrew? Well, some great songs, some bangers today, and no offence, Keezy's track as well, but I'm going to have to go with the old mate Mogey today.
28:26Mike Minogue:Yeah, mate. Good on you, Andrew. Good stuff, mate. You have a good Friday, Andrew. Cheers, Keezy.
28:31Keyzie:Good on you, mate. G'day, Ray, you mad bastard. How's life? Hey, g'day, you sick son of a gun. It's bloody magic. Thank you. Excellent. What are you running with there, Ray?
28:44Mike Minogue:Oh, look, I love a good game of soggy biscuits, so I have to go with old Mogey as well. Oh, yeah. I'll join you any time, man. I'll be down and welling soon. I'll do it. Have a good Friday, Ray. Thanks for calling in. Yes, boy. Thank you. Good on you, mate. Right, so a bit of Limp Bizkit, man. Get it in you, man. Turn it up. Crank it. The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Kesey. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
29:12Keyzie:So come and get it. Yes, just a little bit of Limp Bizkit there. Bizkit. Hey, fellas, imagine listening to that in the changing rooms and then getting the first pass and being the first hit up. And getting absolutely flat. You didn't.
29:26Mike Minogue:That's right. The theme for today's Throbber, Mogi getting the win there was songs to fire up. The Warriors, who are playing tomorrow, of course. Just looking at the Throbber scoreboard now, guys. Mogi, way out in front on 16 wins. Thanks, man. Amazing, man. Well done. I appreciate that, guys. It's really great. Keezy in second on 10 wins with one asterisk, the asterisk being for playing two parts of a song. And in third place, Jace on seven wins. I like to think of it as 26 losses rather than 7 wins, but with two asterisks and a small d. Yeah.
30:00Keyzie:What was my small d for? I forget.
30:03Mike Minogue:I can't remember, man. We normally make a note of them, but they're not there for some reason. You were disqualified for not even trying to follow a theme. Similar to what he did today. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right. Disqualified. And that was the audience disqualified you as well, not us. Did they? Yeah, that was shocking. Shocking bastard. That's terrible. It is. It's shocking, Basta. You guys have got a couple of weeks off as well coming up, so that's good news for old Mogi. Yeah, it is. Yeah, I think Mogi's got this in the bag unless I stop picking tunes from live. I don't see that happening any time soon.
30:34Mike Minogue:Well, that's the thing. It's a tricky one because that was on theme, Keezy, but it was not a throbber. The thing is, I had a throbber lined up, and I was just like, when I thought about that pun, I was like, oh, it's just right on the runner. It's too good. Will it win, though?
30:46Keyzie:It's just so good. Because live sucks. It just would have been so good, had you? Hey, now listen, big news. We've got Charlie Garber. Oh, yeah. We're going to be speaking to him next, I believe. Well, very shortly. He just looked at Pugs and Pugs shook his head. He said 5.30, didn't he? It'll be nearly 5.30. Guys, guys. Let's not fight about it now. We'll speak to him soon, all right? Well, I want to speak to him now. Jase.
31:11Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
31:17Keyzie:Yes, indeed. Radiohead there on the Radio Hauraki. Big show this Friday afternoon, and fellas, just one more sleep, and then it's all on. Da-doosh. Some rugby league action. With that in mind, I mean, we had to. We had to get rugby league legend. Oh, my God. Charlie Gubb on the line. Charlie, you mad bastard. How's life? Fellas, today, life is good. The last few days, it's been bad. I thought it was going to be over. The flu got me, and I think if I was made of any less sterner stuff, than I may have. Maybe if I was cut from the same jib as you, Hoity, I'd be gone. But I'm back, brother, so I'm a Friday guy.
31:58I had to rise again. How good, Charlie.
32:00Mike Minogue:Now, obviously, you got sick earlier this week, which is why you went on the show. That sort of came off the back of a Warriors old boys weekend where you were up in Auckland rubbing shoulders with some of your old mates. Do you think the two were related at all? I don't know. Can you get the flu from doing two days of meth? Dunno, actually, dunno, maybe Were you sharing a pipe, man? I've told you about that before Yeah, I don't know, I think I might have picked it up on a$50 bill Yeah, good stuff At the end of the day, you know, it's night time and we're here, so let's just focus on the now Yeah, let's do it, man
32:39Keyzie:Charlie, boy oh boy, it's going to be a massive game tomorrow, obviously against the Dolphins What's your feeling? Where do you think the boys are at? How do you think it's going to go? Honestly, while I was in my flu state, I was like, look, kind of you read the media like, oh, our right edge, blah, blah, blah. The Dolphins are good. We're blah, blah, blah. As I've come out of it, I'm coming to Friday. I'm realizing that we are the team. And I think we're just going to blow them off the park. Our Ford pack's too good. We've got seasoned veterans who we led from a real winner in Fisher Harris.
33:13and I think him and Barnett having Ford back on the bench, Clark through the middle, both our halves back, it's going to be a massive performance and we'll win comfortably. In my more nervy moments, Charlie, I think to myself, oh, is Herbie going to run through us? Is their fullback going to destroy us? Is Cody Nicarema going to have his way with us? But then I think to myself, actually, I think we're going to absolutely pump them. I think this is going to be like that Panthers game. We are just going to be swarming and suffocating. I hope so. That's my dream. That's my hope. But, jeez, man, I don't think I've ever been this nervous going into a final season.
33:54It's not like we get into a lot of them. But when we've looked our best, 2002 and I guess it was at 11, this time I'm nervous because I think we can actually win the whole thing. We can. We can. We can, Mogey. Start believing it. We're going to win it. and we're going to be reviewing next week, and we'll be going into a bye. I think that obviously Dolphins are still super dangerous, but our scramble D is really good too. If they make a line break, we've got Tain and Chance covering across. We've got the speed in, what's his name? AKP at Camporea, yeah. AKP, yeah. Thank you, Keezy, for Stead Mountain.
34:35How you been, man?
34:36Mike Minogue:Yeah, bloody good, Charlie. Better than you by the sounds of it, mate. Sorry to hear you're crook, man. Are you going to be at the game tomorrow at all? No, I won't be at the game. I'll be at home and then possibly toss in my own salad after the game. Yeah, okay, fair enough, man. And obviously we can't speak to Charlie Gard without the great support of Portaking, Wellington's premier port-a-loo company, which, of course, Charlie, you run, mate. Does the business still function without you sick for the week? Yeah, I still got on the truck and stuff like that And people were like, oh, you know I'm sick, are you?
35:15I said, no, no, no Sweet as Oh, we're good
35:19Mike Minogue:Hey, Charlie, thanks so much for having a yarn to us, mate Score prediction before we let you go?
35:28Mike Minogue:36-18 Thanks, man I was going 42-12 I like that Yeah, I hope so I really do hope so
35:33Keyzie:The Dolphins? What? What? You mean the Dolphins, 32-18?
35:41Mike Minogue:Nah, bro. You're going to get the commensurers knocking on your door. Thanks, Charlie, mate. We'll chat to you after the game. See you, bro. Good on you, mate. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
35:55Keyzie:Oh, yes, indeed. Stone Temple Pilots there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show. This Friday evening, the time is 5.41. Fellas, old Moogie's got a birthday coming up. You sure do, man. It's a big one. It's a milestone one, fellas. it's my 50th. Wow. Mate, you don't look any older than 49. Well put, Jase. He's done me there.
36:17Mike Minogue:I would say you look great. In fact, I'd say you look younger than Jase, even though he's 39. Right? It's weird, isn't it? It is crazy. But he's had a hell of a life, old Jase. Yeah, it's been pretty rough, Kesey. And I'm wondering what it is that I should do about it, because I'm getting messages from my mates that I grew up with in Levin. what are you doing for your 50th, man? You've got to do something, man. There's not many of these milestone birthdays around, man. You've got to celebrate it. You can't let it go past. We've got to get on it. We've got to get on it. Yeah. I don't really want to.
36:45Yes. I'm busy. I've got things on.
36:47Mike Minogue:And that is, like, you do want to. Absolutely I want to. Of course I want to. Every day we want to. Every day I want to get on. I'm sitting here thinking today, I'm thinking, God, I want to get on it. It's Friday night, you know. I want to get on it.
37:00Keyzie:Yeah, yeah. I can't get on it because all I'm thinking about, what I'm thinking about, I want to get on it, is that tomorrow I've got to be awake.
37:06Mike Minogue:Yeah. And I've got to be active and I've got to live my life and I can't do it hungover. The other thing too is you can't do like a radio show or a podcast or anything whilst on it. You know, that would be... I've never seen it happen before, that's for sure. No, neither. You know. And then I've got on the other side of it, I've got my wife and my brother-in-law actually. Why don't we just go away for a nice weekend somewhere? That sounds nice. Yeah. That does sound nice. That sounds good. But then it's like, well, who do you invite?
37:36Keyzie:That's right. Because it's us, but then I'd like some mates to come as well, and I'd start doing that. Well, that mate's not available at that time, and that mate's not available. Yeah. But I want that mate there. I was going to say, you've got the complication too of not just getting on it or not getting on it. It's who do you invite. Who do you invite? Obviously, Keezy and I and Puckson there. Exactly right. We'd be first on the list there, I imagine. Well, then out the back of the conversation about who's going to stay, is like, well, maybe we could have a lunch. Yes. And then we could invite more people, and those people could come along.
38:05But then who do you bring to that?
38:07Keyzie:Yeah. There's a cap on that. There's only so many people that come to that. Do you really want all those people to come that think that they should be coming? Yeah.
38:15Mike Minogue:After all these years? Well, I think if you – so obviously me and Hoidi Jay, and then if you did extend it to like a wider lunch, then that's when your pugs and the rest of the hauraki office would sort of filter in. Yeah, yeah. Well, I don't think we have to even worry about that. But I've got to make a decision. because I think probably what's going to have to happen is I've got to do something this year, and then I've got to do something bigger next year.
38:35Keyzie:What you don't want to happen is to do what Kesey did with his wedding. Oh, I know, I know. And he still to this day goes, jeez, I... What did I do with this? I'm sorry, fellas, that I... Well, when Kesey famously, you know, you remember this, Kesey, of course, when you famously didn't invite your co-host, old hoody Joe and Ogie there. Oh, yeah, that's right, yeah. It wasn't my fault. You know, and we had... We worked really hard on that speech, and then to have him kick us in the teeth like that and not even invite us was shocking. And it's taken us years to get over it, if we even are over it.
39:06Mike Minogue:I don't think I am. No. Right, okay. So what are we talking about here? This is an intervention key. Is this an intervention key? You're a shocking bastard. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Fair enough. Hey, I'm sorry, fellas. Anyway, I've got to make a decision. So maybe over the coming weeks we can work towards what it's going to be for old Mo again. I'm happy to take any suggestions on your 3, 4, 8, 3. Yeah, because it is a biggie. It's a biggie. That's the thing. I've got a mate. I've got a really good mate. he let it go by. He let it go by now he's 52 and he hasn't done it and I don't think you can be 52 and have a 50th.
39:37I think you've got to do it around the time.
39:39Mike Minogue:It's like watching a game on replay instead of live. It's actually a 51st birthday, it's not as exciting.
39:45Keyzie:Well I'll be honest with you, it's way off for me at the moment but I'm already planning it. Well hopefully you can learn from me man. I've got my 50th and then after that I've got my 60th and then after that I've got my funeral. So this is one of the last two big ones, you know? Yeah. What are you guys going to get me, by the way? Because it's a big one. Don't want to get me nothing. Got to get me something. Got a few things in mind, mate. You don't worry about that, mate. Should we steal them some chips? Yeah, I think so.
40:10Mike Minogue:I'm getting some Reburger.
40:13Keyzie:A voucher? Yeah. Well, no, I'd rather have that. Well, we'll get a backbone shirt, mate. Yeah, backbone. Maybe one of those howraki bottle openers. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, howraki. Actually, hey, listen. Mother of my phone, what? A flavour puffer jacket. Yeah, okay.
40:28Mike Minogue:I'll grab you. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
40:33Keyzie:The Clash there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Friday evening. The time is exactly five minutes to six o 'clock.
40:40Mike Minogue:Fellas, it's name a beer. I think I'll have myself a beer. We're looking for... The Radio Hauraki Big Show. Name our beer.
40:51Keyzie:Sorry, mate. We're looking for texts on three... You're just super excited, Keezy. That's understandable. Yeah, man.
40:56Mike Minogue:We're looking for text on 3483, naming our beer for the Dunedin Beer Festival. Emerson's are going to be a massive supporter of the beer festival. They've brought us down a few times for the beer festival to do live shows. This time they're making a tropical, hazy pale ale to celebrate the fact that the beer festival is happening once again. If you want tickets, dunedinbeerfestival.co.nz. It's happening November 27 and 28. That's Friday, Saturday at Forsyth Bar Stadium. Good, isn't it? Yeah, good stuff. So 3483, flick any names through that you think would be a good name for the Big Show Beer.
41:27Mike Minogue:Here are a few from earlier fellas. Taking care of jizzness. Taking care of jizzness. I like that. Would you order that at the bar? Yes. Yes, I would. Yeah. Yes, I would. I don't know if I would. But I'd shorten it up, but it'd end up with a nickname. Jizzness. Yeah, I think so. Two and a half hazies instead of mogies. One and a half mogies. It doesn't really make sense. No, it's worth a shot, though. Gave it a crack. Gave it a nudge, Keezy. The crazy feel is hazy. Crazy feel is hazy because it's hazy. Yeah, I see that those words rhyme. You get it, man? Yeah. Yeah. Oh, this one's terrible. Don't even know why I'm reading this one out.
42:11Mike Minogue:Keezy on all bottle caps looking over his big butt with me, Keezy. Yep. That's top two. Nah, it's terrible. That's top two. Let's hope they were three honkers. Number one for me. What about Jizzmeister? The master of the jizz. Jizzemeister, like Jägermeister, I guess. Yeah, yeah. What's in the can with me? Keezy. That's good. Yeah, not bad. Yeah. That would be very funny. Seeing that on a beer would be amazing. The hazy Areola Grande. What? I love that. That makes no sense, so that's good. That's good shit. Parker Pale Ale. The Fieler's Brewski. Donkey bitter. It's difficult, isn't it? Yeah, it is.
42:57It's a tricky thing. I like the play on words of jizz, taking care of jizzners. It's good stuff. The donkey what? It's jizzners time.
43:06Mike Minogue:Donkey. Can't remember. Donkey bitter. Just donkey bitter. I don't. Donkey. No, donkey. Yeah, donkey. No, not my dad, Don. Yeah, your dad. No, no, no. Donkey. Donkey, actually donkey. Otherwise, what's he doing? Yeah, true. What's it got to do with us? Exactly. Keep the text coming. It's hard. Three, and you can win an Emerson's hoodie. In fact, Pugs is going to dish out a couple right now, fellas. Beautiful. And don't forget to need in BFS.co.nz if you want tickets. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike, and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki.
43:43Keyzie:Welcome back, you massive backbones. Hope your Friday's going off. You're listening to The Big Show brought to you by Rebeg.
43:50Mike Minogue:Serving good times and good food. dine in or take away Reburger today. Reburger. Mogi just ate dinner, fellas. Yeah. And it looked disgusting. Well, it's a snack. Is that a snack? It was a snack. Yeah, a little tied me over to get me home for dinner. Yes, yeah, give me enough. If I ate all of it, probably would have been dinner. Picture this. A Tupperware container with rice in it. Well, can I tell you what it is? Wait, can I describe it first? Okay, sure. Rice in it, some beans of some sort. They look like coffee beans, sort of. Some tofu and some falafel all mixed together. Yeah. Is that what it is?
44:22Mike Minogue:No. What is it? Coriander and lime rice. All right. My wife's made this. Yeah. That sounds like it's out of a packet. With black beans, Keezy, not coffee beans. Cajun tofu. And edamame smash. Oh, so it's not falafel. It's edamame. Now, I thought it was, I don't know what it was. Now, my wife had texted me this last night. Right. But we were too late to talk about it. So I have it for leftovers the next day, you see. So this is what I've had. Look, I don't think we'll be keeping the recipe. Yeah, we haven't eaten all of it, so I assume it's... Oh, I'm just full, eh? Yeah. Just real full. It's a shame it looks yum.
45:06Keyzie:You can have the rest of it. Nah. Go on, Keezy. You have it. Nah, I don't want to ruin my appetite, man. Hey, Keezy.
45:12Mike Minogue:What's up? I dare you. What are you having then, Keezy? Do you remember when I went to Waiheke Island a few weeks ago? Yeah. We had a couple of leftover patties, and so we froze them again. You guys love your freezer, eh? Is there anyone that rotates out of the freezer like you two? No. A couple of weapons. I got my patties out earlier today, and they're defrosting, and then we'll go home after the show and eat those. Yeah. It's going to be yummy, haven't they? Sounds delicious.
45:38Keyzie:Eat your own patties. That's gross.
45:41Mike Minogue:Yeah, man. What are you having, Jase?
45:43Keyzie:Spare ribs. Duck fat roast potatoes. Again? No, you haven't had them. No, I'm going to make them.
45:51Mike Minogue:No leftover duck fat from the Come Dine With It? Yes. Just make sure your wife helps you with the packet, putting it, closing it up. Yeah, because it was very confusing.
46:00Keyzie:And a nice, maybe leafy green salad with a bit of avocado in there. Sounds terrible. I like to shave a little bit of parmesan cheese on my salads too, just as a little. Oh, yeah. You know what you should mix in there, man?
46:13Mike Minogue:Some coffee beans, like mogi.
46:15Keyzie:Yeah, sounds yum.
46:17Mike Minogue:So good. Hey, do you guys like rage against the machine?
46:19Keyzie:I always do. Yeah.
46:22Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
46:26Keyzie:Blink-182 there on the radio. Hauraki Big Show, that's Friday evening. Do you know that song there, Blink-182, I Miss You? That was written by the band about someone that they missed.
46:36Mike Minogue:Yeah. Oh, really? Yeah, yeah. Wow, that's amazing. What's on the news? With me, Keezy. Fellas, huge news stories come across my desk, and I felt so compelled. You don't have a desk. I was thinking the same thing, Jase. Sorry, no, it's just a turn of phrase. A huge news story has been brought to my attention. By who? Well, by me looking at the news. Yeah, right. So there's a fellow, an Australian lawyer, right? It sounds like the start of a bad joke, but instead it's the start of a bad news story. Is that right? Well, no, give it a chance, man. What kind of lawyer? I don't know. It doesn't say, man.
47:20Mike Minogue:I think he works for a big company because he was on a big company-wide Zoom, a video chat. Oh, God. Here we go. So this is sort of one of those things that's passed off as news, but really it's just a minor event in somebody's life. 100%. So this guy, he was on a group Zoom with the whole company there. Steamer-related? And he didn't realize, but his camera was still on. and he went into the toilet and he put the laptop on the ground looking up at him and then did a steamer. How old is this story? Four hours.
47:55Keyzie:He did a steamer for four hours?
48:01Mike Minogue:No, it's how old the story is. What's interesting about this story is this story has been reported a billion times. Yeah, but there's... What's happened? Is it someone famous? because this story, I'll be honest with you, it needs something more because I've heard this story before. It's fine. Yeah. Did I not mention George Clooney? Was it the Clooney? Oh, it was the Cloonester. It was the Cloonester. Right. Well, it wasn't him. It was his lawyer because I said it was a lawyer, didn't I? And he's in Aussie filming a new film. Right. The Cloonester. So it was just some dude doing poos with hundreds of people on his own.
48:35Mike Minogue:It wasn't hundreds, mate. You don't be ridiculous, mate. It was like 30. But the funny thing about it, guys, is – I mean, have you had a hot pot? Yeah, what have we got? I mean, have you had... I don't know. I haven't rifled through his leavings. Well, I'm just sort of wondering what you're leaving on the table in terms of what's in the story, because this cannot be it. No. It cannot be it. He can be seen putting his laptop on the floor before lifting the toilet seat, dropping his pants. Yeah, no, it's just that. Oh, is it you? No, I'm not a lawyer. So you don't think this is good news? I think this is great news.
49:07Mike Minogue:This is right up in... I guess what's interesting about it, and the only thing that's interesting about it is how often it's happened and how often it's been... You've heard this story before, Kesey. This is not a unique story. Oh, it's the first time I've heard of anything like this happening. What a wacky thing accidentally happening on Zoom in a group meeting. Although, to be fair, I've just found the same article while I'm talking to you, and you can actually see his downstairs hanging out.
49:29Keyzie:Oh, so does he have his... Well, you see, that's interesting. Yeah. Because, I mean, I don't know about you guys. I don't have my downstairs and my testes hanging out when I'm doing a schema. He exposes himself while apparently unaware his camera's still on. Oh, well, then it makes sense. And can I say what's even more interesting about this guy is that he's defecating in the most relaxed height. He's sitting back. He's not leaning forward with his elbows on his knees. He's sitting back. Just going, here we go. In an erect style. We need to get into this, Jase. You strike me as the kind of guy that sits back.
50:01Does the lean back. Are you a forward leaner or an erectus?
50:04Keyzie:Are you the thinking man? I've got to be honest with you. I'm a cramper. What's that mean? Well, it means I arch forward. Yeah, so do I. And I get low. Yeah, same. I get low. Keezy?
50:16Mike Minogue:I've never sat back like that. Pug strikes me as a, you know, treating it like a lazy boy. Exactly. This guy looks like he's waiting at a bus stop or doing anything other. See, he told you it's interesting.
50:29Keyzie:Sitting out on the patio having a durry and a beersy.
50:34Mike Minogue:Yeah, yeah, that's what he looks like. See, I told you this is a good news story, fellas. You're welcome. The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
50:42Keyzie:Space Hog there on the Radio Hauraki Big Show this Friday evening. And, fellas, and I know you're not going to agree with me on this, but I'm beginning to feel like I'm growing into a grumpy old man. Now, it's interesting because we were talking AI yesterday on the show, you know, and technology and all that stuff. And, you know, I guess it's probably common knowledge that people know that I'm not a big fan of technology. Now, it's not my friend. Can I put it that way?
51:10Mike Minogue:You're talking about computers and stuff.
51:12Keyzie:Computers, phones, all that kind of jazz. It just doesn't do it for me. I wasn't designed for it. You know what I'm saying? Sure. Now, I've got an acting job coming up, and this is a case in point. And I had to fill out all these forms, right? And you go on into your email, and it says, could you click on this and fill it all out? and it's like, yes, I guess so. So like two minutes work? No, it wasn't two minutes work. But you didn't know that beforehand, did you? I didn't know it beforehand. And so you click on it and then it's like password to access this thing. It's like, I don't have a password.
51:53Keyzie:Do you check your emails? And this is the thing that I've discovered is that I have no patience. Immediately no patience. I was just going to say, so you've gone zero to 100 there. Yes, immediately. You've got an email, fill this form out. Okay, where's your password? What password? And that's exactly what I said So I went back to the email Which would have taken about an eighth of a second You know, well, not in my house It was like, oh, now, hang on Where are my glasses? I'll save that as a draft Yes, where are my glasses? And there's no password And it's like, oh, for God's sake And so then you have to email the people that sent you the email And go, sorry, there doesn't seem to be a password for me to access And they said, actually, in fairness to me, oh, no, sorry, we didn't send it.
52:40Keyzie:Yeah, right. And so here's the password. And then you get the password, and then it's putting it in there. Typing that in. Copy and paste it, yeah. Oh, I can't copy and paste. That's the other thing. Yeah, true. Just copy and paste it. You wouldn't be able to do that. I can't do that. Why not? And then it's like, all these bloody questions. Yeah, like what sort of things? Name. Oh, you know, like where were you located in 1997?
53:04Mike Minogue:Yeah, when mad cow root disease was happening.
53:06Keyzie:You know, just stop. And it's like it drives me insane, the amount of admin. Like back in the day when I got an acting job, this is how it worked, right? And this is not this particular company. It's just how it is now. They'd go, okay, you go and do your audition. They'd go, you got the part. You'd go, thanks for that. That's great. Did you ever have to fill out a form? Well, you'd fill out a little, you know, hard copy when you were doing the audition. All your details, no problem. You get the part and they go, okay, here's the script. learn the lines, we want you here on this day, see you then.
53:36Keyzie:Beautiful. Now it's like, do you do this? What are your preferences for this? Where are you located now? And it just goes, and then I had to click into another one and sign up, you know, read the contract and stuff, and I just went batshit crazy. Far out. Have you considered just sort of just hanging up your boots, man? Yes. Just take a walk into the ocean in the air. Well, as I spoke to you about it today on the podcast, outro, I was so fired up. Immediately after I finished, I started looking for rental properties in Russell. And that is not a lie, because I was so stressed out about it. But it just feels like there's so much unnecessary admin.
54:18Keyzie:Even when you go to a restaurant now, it's like, oh, for God's sake. You know, you've got to scan the menu, and you've got to do all this crap. It's just like, can I just order it, please? You've tapped into something there for me, Jase. I completely agree. why do you need my email address when all I want is something to eat why do you need my phone number yes and then they come up with some bullshit it's like mind your god damn business
54:44Mike Minogue:just give me the hot pot and leave me alone thank you exactly The Hauraki Big Show weekdays from 4 on Radio Hauraki
55:04Keyzie:Well, there you go, you mad masters. That's a big show done and dusted for your Friday. Hope you enjoyed it. In the disclaimer today, we talked about all sorts of stuff. But what clip have you got for us, Keezy?
55:15Mike Minogue:Yeah, today's disclaimer podcast, which is bonus content, comes out at 7.30. We discuss Jase being stressed.
55:23Keyzie:I was so f***ing fired up today on the computer trying to sort shit out, right? I wish I was there, man. You know what I did? This is truly what I did I went online and went rental property Russell
55:40Yeah
55:42Mike Minogue:That's interesting I don't know what I do when I get stressed I don't have a thing that I do
55:46Keyzie:Well I used to go and punch some darts usually Yeah well now you've only got the The vape and I can't be arsed going outside to vape So I just smash it inside No I don't Hey Mogey Well, I don't really need to ask what you're doing for the weekend. It's going to be rugby league all over. I'll be a bit of rugby league tomorrow night. Absolutely got a bit of work to do. What else? What else? Look, I've got a real urge in me, man.
56:16Mike Minogue:I'm worried that your life is just... Kesey, I want you to know I love it, man. You do? I absolutely love it. I hope so. I really do. But, yeah, it's... What else have we got? I'm not sure if it's a sunny weekend. That game's not until 6 o 'clock. So, I don't know. Don't know. We'll get something in it around about 4 o 'clock. Got to maybe visit some mates. Yeah, man. Not a lot on, man, to be honest with you. Just a nice, chill bastard.
56:38Keyzie:I think the weather's pretty good. Oh, good?
56:41Mike Minogue:Yeah. Keezy? Minaya has booked a pub spot for us 2 p.m. tomorrow. It's like a golf simulator pub thing. Then we're going to go from there to Lily World next to Mount Smart. Yeah. 3 p.m., 4 p.m. Get loaded up responsibly. Watch the Waz. Hopefully celebrate the win afterwards. Hungover on Sunday. Oh, my God. And Monday. Nah, it won't be one of those biggies.
57:04Keyzie:And Tuesday, Wednesday. Nah, nah, nah.
57:07Mike Minogue:Hey, what are you up to, Jase?
57:09Keyzie:What, tonight or the weekend? I don't know, man. I mean, you're just going to say the same, you know,
57:13Mike Minogue:oh, I'm going to go home, my wife, see what she's up to.
57:18Keyzie:I think, well, obviously, on the Saturday, you've got your wires. But I'm not going to be like you, Backbones. I think I'd just be, you know, cruising and not doing anything special. Maybe tidying up a bit. Do you think people listening to us over the last couple of minutes are going to want to come back on Monday? Yeah, I think so, man.
57:35Mike Minogue:I don't think so. I mean, it's... I think they think these guys are so boring.
57:38Keyzie:They're done, eh? They're done. And also, let's not forget All Blacks. Oh! The Decider on Sunday. Yes, thank you. So I'll probably watch. Tush, tush, tush, tush.
