In short

The Hauraki Big Show (Keezy, Mogi, Pugsan) covers sport (NRL Warriors, cricket T20), TV/film reviews, a listener-style “working man” segment about sneaking in work, and banter about Pugs’ 30th birthday party and social-media comments.

Guests

G-Lane (ACC head) joins by phone from India after attending the Black Caps’ T20 World Cup final; he’s in transit home.

Guest backgrounds

G-Lane is a New Zealand cricket/ACC figure who traveled to India for the final and describes massive crowds and the atmosphere.

Key claims

Warriors beat Sydney Roosters 42–18; Tanner Boyd’s performance was the best he’s played, with game control and strong kicking; Warriors play Canberra Raiders Friday 8pm. G-Lane says India’s stadium crowd was ~130,000, opening ceremony included Ricky Martin, and he expects “mean tweets” after the loss.

Notable examples

Pugs’ 30th at a bar started 7pm; Mogi arrived 7:01 and planned to leave quickly but stayed ~1.5 hours. “Working man” examples include doing scripts on a laptop on the Transalpine train, typing during a movie (hands-free), hiding a laptop behind a restaurant toilet for “paperwork,” and working while cycling using a bungee-cord laptop setup.

0:01The Hodaki Big Show with Toledo's. All the good stuff, no nasties. Try it today. Don't fight it. It's time to go up a size. This is the biggest, biggest, biggest, this is the biggest, our biggest show. The Hodaki Big Show with Jason Hoyte, Mike Minogue and Keyzie.

0:21Mike Minogue:Oh, g'day you massive backbones. It is Monday the 9th of March 2026. You're listening to The Big Show with Keezy, Moggy and Pugsan. Hoity J, he's under the weather. We suspect he's got the flu, but we hope he'll be back on board shortly. But, of course, The Big Show is brought to you by Toledo's.

0:37Jason Hoyte:All the good stuff. No nasties. Try Toledo's today.

0:42Mike Minogue:Nice, Pugsan. Thanks. If you're wondering where you can get Toledo's, by the way, every single fresh choice across the country, and they're rolling them out in various new worlds and pack and saves as well, Moggy. So if you are thirsty, make sure you wrap your lips around one. How are you today, by the way? Going pretty grouse, me. I didn't turn 30 over the weekend. I did go to a 30th, but I didn't get absolutely maggoted like you two backbones. So looking forward to hearing more about that as time goes on, especially from Pugson, who's putting on a brave face, but I think it's got about eight minutes left in it.

1:12Jason Hoyte:100%. How are you feeling today, Pugson? Birthday boy. Hi, guys. I'm well, thank you. It was bloody good to have you there as well over the weekend, so I appreciate that. I'm also just preemptively looking for all my stings because I know that the minute that I slip up, it's all lies on old hungover Pugs. To be fair, man, you normally slip up in the first break.

1:30Mike Minogue:Actually, yeah, Pugs, I've got a bone to pick with you. Oh, nah. It's too early for that stuff. We've got a massive show coming up, though, fellas. Don't we there, Moggy? Yeah, we do. Come on, Pugs.

1:43Jason Hoyte:That's the sting that I'm looking for. See, there it is. First break, man. Everything's going as it should. Everything's going as it should. Why don't we? Okay. Na, na, na, na, na, na. What's happening on the big show with old Moogie? Well, as always, we've got a bloody huge Monday out the back of a massive weekend of sport. There was a bit of a result in the T20 World Cup. G-Lane was there. We're going to talk to him later on in the show. Also, we've got the brand-new segment, the incredible What's on the News with Me, Keezy. And next up, it's unbelievable. Call your mates, call your family, gather around the radio.

2:18She's a ripper. and also up next we're going to be talking about Pugs' party. We saw some photos on Instagram. Old Pugs' arms eyes were absolutely minogying out of his head, absolutely bulging. We want to know was he on gear and if so, what kind? Up next. Here's some bush on the Hauraki Big Show. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.

2:44Mike Minogue:A bit of news there on the Hauraki Big Show. 30 minutes past four this Monday afternoon with Keezy Mogi and Pugsan, old hoody Jay. He's off sick today, hopefully back on board tomorrow. But Mogi, he did appear Saturday night at Pugs' 30th birthday drinks. What a beautiful occasion it was and what an honour to be invited. Obviously, I've had a busy week, fellas, and it got to the night of the party and I thought, jeez, I don't want to go. But at the same time, I want to honour Pugs and what he means to me, so I'm going to show up but I did think to myself you know how long do I have to stay yeah how long do I have to be at this thing how long am I going to be appreciated anyway given the fact that I'm almost double the age of everybody else there uh given the fact that I'm not drinking at the moment I'm not on the darts there's no point really having me there um you know turn up get a photo and I can go surely so I thought to myself how quickly can I go so that was actually the objective I set out for myself.

3:42I did a little video on the car. My aim was that I was going to be in and out in about 10 minutes. Wow. That's amazing. Could I get in, press the flesh and leave and have nobody notice? Now, I was worried when I turned up at the bar that it was a difficult exit. I was hoping that it'd be inside. I'd never been to this bar before. I was hoping I'd be able to say I was going to the toilet and sneak out, which actually in hindsight I could have because the toilet was about 100 metres away from the pub. It was across the car park. Yeah, it's an odd set up. So anyway, I got into the bar and lo and behold, I was the first one there, 7 o 'clock on the dot.

4:17Jason Hoyte:Yeah, so 7pm was when you said you'd be there for a mogi's there first. I recall pulling up in the Uber. Well, let me say, I pulled up, I get in there, there's absolutely nobody there. And I think to myself, you beauty. I get a little video of the fact that nobody's there and then I am out the door heading to my car and I'm leaving. It's like, well, I turned up at the party at 7, there's nobody there. So if you're not going to be at your own party, why should I be there? And then old Pugs pulls up, doesn't he, right in front of me and gets out of an Uber and cuts me off at the pass. So I ended up sticking around for about an hour and a half.

4:51Jason Hoyte:First of all, I made a bet in the car on the way there that you would be the first there and then the first to leave because I knew that would be the exact tack that you'd go for. And it was lovely to see you as I'm getting out of the Uber. My family's also arriving at the same time, so you really had no way out. Yeah, that's right. And I was very grateful that you stayed as long as you did. Truly, I genuinely thought you would have been out in there in 15. Well, I really enjoyed it, actually. It was, you know, you get a couple of 0 % of beers in front of you. You know, you manage to track down a guy that's got half a packet of darts.

5:21You get chapped to him.

5:22Jason Hoyte:Yeah. So I was loving it. And when you got out of the Uber there, Pugson, you cut an absolutely beautiful, you know, a suave figure, a smooth individual you were. You got out, you came over for a hug, And then your sunglasses fell apart and fell on the ground in front of you. Yeah, the arm just snapped off.

5:41Mike Minogue:Far out. It was perfect. Isn't it funny? So Mogi's got there early. He's got there at seven on the dot. He's stoked because no one's there and he can leave. He then sees you and your family and is gutted that he can't leave. You know what I mean? It's an interesting. I think gutted isn't strong enough a word. Yeah, right. Absolutely filthy I was.

6:01Jason Hoyte:Yeah, to have seen Pugs and his lovely mum and dad and sister. Especially because you were the only guest at that point for like another five, ten minutes. So it was all about you. It was all on me. All the socialising was on you. But I think it sort of swung around for me because let me just say, Pugs, your mother is a lovely, lovely woman. A lovely woman. She is lovely, thanks. Yeah, no, she's great. I'm closer in age to her than I am to you. So we've actually got a lot in common. A lot. Really? She is lovely, Pugs. She's kind of got different parts. Yeah. She's great. You're a lucky man, Pugs.

6:36Mike Minogue:You're a lucky man, Pugs. You're a lucky boy. I mean, yeah, I'm lucky to have her as my mum. Hey, 3483, by the way, I'm interested in the audience's opinion on this. Pugs' party started at 7. It is at a bar. What time are you arriving? Yes. 7 p.m. Okay, that's when it starts. So what time did you get there?

6:53Jason Hoyte:Well, I got there at 7.35. Okay. Some people turned up as late as 8. There was somebody at 9. Right. and then I think the latest was probably like 9, 9.30

7:04Mike Minogue:you didn't really turn up until your parents left though that's when you really turned it up 3, 4, 8, 3 what time would you arrive every text in the drawer for a Toledo's prize pack which involves $50 cash as well yeah boy worth doing here's Kings of Leon on the Hauraki Big Show the Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki Hull on the Hauraki Big Show 23 minutes past 4 o 'clock this Monday afternoon No Hoody J today. He is under the weather, hopefully back on deck tomorrow. You've got Keezy, Mogi and Pugs on, though. And on Saturday night, it was Pugs' 30th birthday.

7:39Mike Minogue:Went to a lovely bar here in Auckland. We were all invited. It kicked off at 7 p.m. sharp. That's when Pugs and his family arrived. Mogi arrived. 7.01. 7.01 is when Pugs and his family arrived. Mogi was there at 7 p.m. You were the first one there. I was on the dot. I was sitting in the car waiting for the time to tick over to 6.59. and then I judged my walk to be a minute. I walked through the doors at 7 on the dot. Are you all good? Nobody there and I was out. I was out. And then pugs turned up and so I had to stay for an hour 36. Yeah, which is, to be honest, a pretty good shift. And I had to explain this to my wife because I was saying to her, it starts at 7 and so her thing is you never want to get there bang on 7.

8:22Mike Minogue:You want to give it 15 to 30 minutes depending on what it is. and so she was like maybe we'll you know we'll have dinner and then we'll leave our place at seven get a park you know half an hour sort of late uh and i was like no no we have to get there at seven she's like why and i'm like because mogi will have left by 7 30 yeah and and also i was like and hoity jay as well because he was you know he had his best sneens on and he was there looking sharp we arrived at 7 30 and as we're walking down the car park towards the party hoity jay gets out of a seat and walks down halfway to meet us, about 30 metres away from the party, meets us going, what time do you call this?

8:59Yeah. 7.30pm. That's right. If I remember correctly, Pugs, you got a message from Keezy around about 7.20, 7.25, saying, oh, Keezy will be here in 5 or 10. I was thinking to myself, 5 or 10 too late.

9:12Jason Hoyte:I'm out. My mum was livid.

9:17Mike Minogue:Was she? I can't imagine her livid.

9:19Jason Hoyte:I bet you can.

9:19Mike Minogue:I can imagine here a lot of things, Pugs, but not livid. Yeah, I imagine all sorts of things, but not livid. About my mum.

9:26Jason Hoyte:About your mum. For me, if it's a party where there's multiple people, I'll probably go 15 to 30 after the time. At most 45 if it's a really big thing and I'm usually running late. But if it's, for example, the dinner party for Come Dine with the Fellas, that was like a long time. Yeah. Because that's an intimate setting, whereas this was not that.

9:47Mike Minogue:And also I'd say, Pugs, if I was one of your best mates, right, you know, we're good friends, but I'm not one of your best friends. And if I was, I would be there at 7 on the dot. Yeah. You know what I mean? Which is why I got there at 7 on the dot. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because I wanted a little bit of special time. With your best mate, Pugs. Yeah, and his mum. And his mum. My best mate didn't turn up for 45 minutes. I don't want you to stop, man. Let's not forget about your mum. Okay? What's that? A lot of texts here on 3483, fellas, in terms of what time you would arrive at a bar if it starts at 7 p.m.

10:17Mike Minogue:This one comes from Hamish. 7.30, maybe 8.00, home by 11.00, unless it's going off. I love that. But I can't imagine a world where I'm planning what time. Is that the thing that happens once you have kids or something? That sounds like somebody who's my age, 100%. Somebody who says, oh, home by 11.00. If I'm going out, there is no end time on it, generally.

10:38Jason Hoyte:Right, okay. To be fair, staying until 11.00 implies that it's kind of going off already. Does it? I thought if you were leaving early, 11 seems pretty late to go. I would have expected that somebody's 30th would go to at least 11. No, not saying that the party would end at 11, but for him, he's saying home by 11 unless it's going off. I'm like, gee whiz, you're giving it a good three hours. You know what I mean? It's good. Yeah, 11's, I think 11's reasonable. That's a fairly, and if you're planning to leave at 11, you're still under control. Yeah. Because if I'm drinking X amount of beers per hour from 7 to 11, then by the time I get to 11, I'm thinking, let's take this all the way, man.

11:20Mike Minogue:Let's keep going. I'm not stopping. 100%. This person sounds like a riot. I'll be there 7, first there, last to leave. Yes. That's good. That's the kind of person you want. Actually, it's interesting. When you get married, Pugs, and this will be happening soon for you, when you get married and you pay for a band or a DJ and you've got a dance floor going, you want those friends, you realise that you need those friends who are going to be constantly on the dance floor, constantly getting stuck in. Keeping the energy going so it doesn't die. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's super valuable. And what you don't want is like down buzz people ruining the vibe, which is why I didn't invite Mike and Jase.

11:54The Hodaaki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hodaaki.

12:00Mike Minogue:Some cake on the Hodaaki Big Show. It is 4.35 this Monday afternoon with Keezy, Mogi and Pugsan. Let's chat warriors. Time to chat footy with me, Keezy. What are the Warriors up to? I'll tell you what the Warriors have been up to. They've been bloody down at Mount Smart there, Go Media Stadium, putting on an absolute clinic against the Sydney Roosters. The score was 42 points to 18, Moggy. That is against a team from Sydney, one of the glamour clubs. People joke about them not having a salary cap. They have a salary sombrero. That is how many big names they have. That's how many pugs are. You get that, man?

12:38Jason Hoyte:That's a big salary sombrero instead of a cat. That's kind of racist. Yeah, I sort of buggered up there. Well, I didn't sort of. I absolutely did. I made arrangements or somebody got in touch and said, oh, can I come over for dinner on Friday night? I was like, absolutely, man. I've got nothing on. And then, of course, remembered like two days later that the Wars were playing. Was happy to see the person. Managed to get the last eight minutes of the game. How was it? Didn't check the score at any point, which was really good. and I got to see another 12 points get piled on, but obviously gutted to have missed it and I haven't had a chance to watch a replay either.

13:13What I want to know from you, Kesey, is how's Tanner Boyd looking? From what I saw, he was digging into the line and running, which is what we need and I hope that's a sign of things to come.

13:24Mike Minogue:100%. And sure, the Roosters weren't on fire at all. Really bad discipline. Right. And so they kept getting penalised. How was their completion rate? Oh, pretty iffy because they just, yeah, They weren't the best at all. They didn't look like the Roosters, but they kept complaining and complaining. Meanwhile, the Warriors stayed clinical. And I'll be honest, the first 10 minutes, Tanner Boyd missed a couple of kicks at goal. And I was just like, oh, and his kicks were okay, like his in-play kicking. I was like, oh, no. And then he just threw a dummy, ran at the line, scored a try. I was like, hang about.

13:55Mike Minogue:Our halves don't do that. And then he pretty much controlled the entire game. His kicking game was awesome. Him just running the ship. That was the best game I've ever seen him play in the NRL. Yeah, and Webby agreed that was the best game that he'd seen him play as well. Because he played for the Titans for a long time and he was fine. He was always coming off the bench and covering Hooker and in the halves and blah, blah, blah. But he was running the ship. Loved the combo of Roger Tuivasa-Shek on the left side and Chanel Harris-Tavita. Those two were backing each other up and were involved with two excellent tries.

14:28Mike Minogue:Our defense on the goal line was awesome. Dallin Watini-Zelezniak was not jamming in. Ali Leotawa can't tackle, though. No, missed a couple of easy ones, eh? Yeah, but, I mean, he's young. Hopefully he'll get better. He's good on attack. But, honestly, it was such a great performance, and I'm so fizzed up. Yeah, well, that's the thing, isn't it? Now, you know, like, first round last year, we got hammered by Canberra. Everybody said we were contenders for the Wooden Spoon. But now that we've won the first game of the year, and so convincingly, book your tickets, fellas. We're off to the grand final.

14:57I mean, let's go. Oh, man, 100%. Let's just do it. But also on that Tanner Boyd thing, Webby was talking after the game too. I get the vibe that there's nothing ruling out the potential for Lukey, Matt and Tanner Boyd to be playing 6-7. I think what's been, that's according to Webster, but what's been missing from Tanner Boyd, his game is the run. The running game. Whereas Luke Metcalf doesn't really have the game control that Tanner Boyd does. So I'm glad that Tanner Boyd is going to be, is running more. I hope that happens every single week because to me, even though everyone was raving about Metcalf last year, I didn't really understand the buzz.

15:36As there were quite a few people that felt the same way as me, I didn't understand why everyone was raving about him.

Read the full transcript

15:41Mike Minogue:Well, the thing Metcalf does is run really well. Yes. But he doesn't control the game at all. He was getting better at it and then got injured because it wasn't his natural position. But I think the pairing of those two are awesome. But to be honest, Shanao Harris-DeVita was excellent. Yeah. So for him not to be in the, like, it's a good problem to have, man. All we want is lots of competition in those spots. I'm bloody excited to get to watch. And Canberra this week after a Ripper game. They played over the weekend. I'm a big fan of Canberra. So, yeah, I can't wait for that game this Friday night.

16:12Mike Minogue:Yeah, this Friday night, Warriors taking on the Raiders. 8 p.m. We will be down in Hooker Ticker there. Hopefully watching it at one of the local pubs. If you are in the area for the Wild Food Fest, make sure you come on down. Oh. The Rockin' Bastards. Is this the Black Keys? The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. R.E.M. on the Hauraki Big Show. 13 minutes to five this Monday afternoon with Keezy Mogi and Pugsan. Let's chat TV. What's on the telly with Mike Minogue?

16:47Yeah! I watched the last two episodes of Small Town Scandal starring Tom Sainsbury on Neon. There's eight episodes in it. It's a comedy. It's a whodunit. It was based on a podcast that he released. He's done three seasons of that now, I think. Very funny, very good. I think its heights were the first few episodes, I think, but still funny all the way till the end. And it's a pretty out-of-it show. You never see who's coming, do you, really, with the murderer, and I'd listen to the podcast, and I was like, I think it's such and such, and that was who it turned out to be. Yeah. But it's still a hell of a surprise.

17:36Mike Minogue:Yeah, and I just love that it's, I've mentioned this before on the show, it's that sort of mixture of like, it's a murder mystery, pretty gruesome murder, mixed with humour. It's almost like Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz, how they'll tap into some gruesome, and then it'll be laid back, funny, and wacky characters. and some, well first of all let me say it's great writing because you can't have actors that you think are doing a great job when the writing's terrible so kudos to all the writers on that show but Tom Sainsbury, Morgana O 'Reilly, the guy that plays the cop whose name I don't know who's very very good as well Robert Lloyd who's the sergeant, the older cop yeah he's very funny the mother which is Felicity Kendall I love the fact that as he gets more and more stressed out I'm pretty sure I'd have to see the earlier episodes, but Tom Sainsbury, the character, is just eating heaps of shit food.

18:29Sausage rolls, chips. He is just stuffing his face as he's getting more and more stressed out as the episodes progress. Yeah. And his mother just telling him constantly to stay out of the fridge. That's good stuff to tell a 45-year-old dude to stay out of the fridge. Really, really good. I give it four busies. I highly recommend it. It's on Neon. It is Small Town Scandal.

18:49Mike Minogue:Yep, I concur. My wife and I loved it. Yes. Pug son, you don't get many opportunities to chat TV, mate.

18:54Jason Hoyte:Have at it. Hi, guys. Last night when I was on the couch after my 30th birthday on Saturday, I chose to watch Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. Oh, wow. Starring Jacob Lordi, Oscar Isaacs. What's his name from Inglourious Bastards? Oh, yeah. Oh, is he in it as well? The German fella. Yeah, right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's in it as well. I love the idea. I love Guillermo del Toro I love Hellboy I love Pan's Labyrinth that's one of my favourite movies of all time he's known for these beautiful fantasy worlds that he builds and his epic prosthetics and his great character creation very very creative guy this movie looked pretty cool but it's really not selling it to me it's really not doing it for me I feel like I don't know what it is I feel like they don't know whether they want to go completely theatrical like some sort of Sweeney Todd job or if they want to like make it more movie-ish.

19:50Jason Hoyte:Right. But it's sitting somewhere in the middle and it can't commit. Right. It feels like it's got very broad appeal. Jacob Elordi's great, sure, but I'm looking at the guy who's supposed to be Frankenstein and I'm just like, oh, it's Jacob Elordi. Right. Maybe that's a casting issue.

20:03Mike Minogue:That's what I said. Remember when we were watching June 2? Yeah. And it was like, it's really cool, but oh, there's Austin Butler as the bad guy. Right. Same vibe. They use too big a name or too well-known faces in these particular roles. He should have been more unrecognizable. I think yeah it's interesting it's just not but I mean they are always going to be actors that you know I mean I know what you mean with him because I like the early stuff of Guillermo del Toro The Shape of Water did really well and got a lot of Academy Awards and I did not enjoy that film in the slightest I really didn't like it but I really liked from him Crimson Peak which is great but my concern with Frankenstein and we were going to watch it over the weekend but I had to be in bed and do a bit of work so I didn't quite get to it but my concern is always just the duration and I hate a flashback and my understanding is that you hear the story through the eyes of one of the characters and then it gets to a point and goes right, now let's see all of that stuff again but from a different character

21:06Jason Hoyte:it's like, oh god Yeah, put it this way I've got like 45 minutes left my partner and I, not cracking in I'd probably give it like 3 if not 2.8 buzzies For me, three is a recommend. Okay. The way you were talking, it's like you're saying don't bother. Two and a half. Yeah, right. I'm going to watch it. It'll be interesting to see.

21:24Mike Minogue:Two and a half buzzies out of five. Frankenstein, that's Pugs' review on Netflix there. It is Netflix, eh? It's up for best picture, by the way. Far out. What do we know? Here's Weezer. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike, and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki. Weezer on the Hauraki Big Show. Five minutes to five this Monday afternoon with Keezy Mogi and Pugsan. Coming up after five o 'clock there, fellas, we're going to chat to G-Lane, who flew straight over to India to witness the Black Caps against India in the T20 World Cup final. Didn't go so well, and I believe he's just at the start of his transit back home.

22:02Mike Minogue:Long journey. A long journey with a loss fresh in the memory. Yeah, yeah. So hopefully he'll be demoralized. We'll have a chat to him. Also, we're going to sort of – I want to pick Mogi's brain. Yeah. Okay. Because he's the master of working, right? He's always like, oh, blah, blah, blah, I was doing this, doing a bit of work. It doesn't matter where he was, he was doing a bit of work on his laptop or something. So I want to give you a whole lot of scenarios, and you'll explain to me how you'd get away with doing a bit of work whilst in those scenarios. Righto-go.

22:31Jason Hoyte:Can I just say, of course it's Mogi on the show that's got a reputation, and it's for working. Of all the things that all of us on the show have reputations for, his is working. For working.

22:41Mike Minogue:Why, what's my reputation? Getting steamed? Being a legend? Having giant nipples? Such great stuff. That's all coming up after 5 o 'clock. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki. Yes, g'day, you massive backbones. It is the 9th of March, 2026, a Monday afternoon. You've got Keezy, Mogi and Pug San. Horty J's off sick. However, the Big Show is, of course, still brought to you by Toledo's.

23:08Jason Hoyte:Rehydrate the right way with Toledo's, real ingredients and natural colours. Where can I get that from, Keezy? Where can I get my hands on a Toledo's? That's what I need to know because I'm hearing all this great chat about Toledo's, but where do I get it?

23:20Mike Minogue:Yeah, yeah, that's a good question, Moggy. Thanks, man. Are you in the market for sort of like a natural electrolyte drink, are you? I just need something that's good for the kids as well. Yeah, okay. You know. Or what you want to do, write this down. Have you got blue flavour? Yeah, there's blue flavour, there's citrus and grape and tropical. You know Fresh Choice? Yes, the Super. The light blue one? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So you can get Toledos from every single Fresh Choice across New Zealand. They're in the process of rolling them out in more places too. New Worlds, for example, Devonport, Kumiu, Palmerston North, Papakura, Pukekoi, Te Kauwhata, Wauku and Pack and Save, Mill Street, Hamilton, New Plymouth and Pukekoi and they're rolling them out.

23:56Can I make a suggestion here live on the radio and with no preparation at all? Excellent. Take a photo of yourself with the Toledos. you holding a Toledo's take that photo tag the big show in that on Instagram and you are in the draw to win $50 of Toledo's hot, hot cash. And when I say Toledo's cash what I mean is just cash, it's just money.

24:17Mike Minogue:But thanks to Toledo. But do that. Yeah, yeah. Should we do that? Well I feel like$50 isn't enough. I feel like it needs to be like$10 ,000. No, I agree. So if you do it 200 times or yeah, 2 ,000 times then you'd be sweet.

24:31Jason Hoyte:Okay, so Pugs do you reckon you could ask them for 10 grand? So sorry, you're saying every time someone takes one, they automatically get the cash. You'll do it, man. I'll clear that up. You will? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll sort it out. I'll let you know when I do.

24:44Mike Minogue:That's good, because we were kind of joking around, but if you can actually do it, that's awesome. Well, you heard it here first. Take a photo of you. Cheers, brother. What's that? Send it to Pugs. He will give you$50 personally. That's not what I said. That is exactly what he just said. Fellas, coming up a little later on, we're going to have a yarn with G Lane, who's over in India. In the meantime, some Kiwiana. She-Hart Covering split ends on the Radio Hauraki Big Show. The Hauraki Big Show with Jase, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at four on Radio Hauraki. Bit of green day on the Hauraki Big Show.

25:13Mike Minogue:11 minutes past five this Monday afternoon with Keezy, Mogi and Pugsan. Horty Jay is sick. Hopefully he'll be back on deck tomorrow. Now it's an exciting week for us fellas. This Thursday we'll be doing a live show from Critic Bar at Richmond Club in Christchurch. So make sure you come down, you join us there. It's going to be bloody brilliant. And on the Friday, we are then riding the Transalpine Train across the Alps there over to Hukatika, which is bloody exciting. Now, something people might know about you, Moggy, is that you work a lot. I do some work. You do a lot of work. So you've got the big show.

25:44Mike Minogue:You've also got another business that you run. I do. And that quite often means that you get home. You work all day. You come to radio. You do more work. And then when you get home, you have dinner and you do a bit of work. That's right. And so I figured. But then I get to relax. On the weekend, I relax. Really? A little bit of work. Get up, do a little bit of work, and then sort of a little bit of work all day.

26:04Jason Hoyte:Oh, nice. Go to bed. Yeah, cool. And that's when you relax is when you're unconscious. Yeah, when I'm unconscious. Then wake up in the middle of the night and think about a little bit of work. Yeah. Go back to sleep, get up, do a little bit of work.

26:13Mike Minogue:What a way to be, man. And so what I thought was as someone who's not known for his work ethic, I thought I'd pick your brain because you're very good at squeezing a little bit of work into various scenarios. Yeah. So what we'll do is Pugs and I have written down a few scenarios each. Yeah. will sort of hit you with them, and then you explain to us how you would go about doing a little bit of work in that scenario. Do your scenarios include anything to do with your mother at all parks?

26:37Jason Hoyte:Mine was nine. Put down mum on my list. That's good because she's perfectly healthy. We'll start with you then, Kesey. Okay.

26:45Mike Minogue:All right. So I mentioned the Transalpine Train. Yes. Five-hour journey, which we're doing on Friday. How would you set yourself up to do a bit of work on the Transalpine? Well, that would be easy because I'd have a few scripts to read. I run a talent agency, so I'd be reading a few scripts. So I just have a laptop because there's going to be no internet there, Pugsun. So I've already asked the train driver about that. He said, no, terrible coverage. You can forget about it. So I'll read a few scripts. Okay, so you're just reading a few scripts on your laptop. Do you need to take calls or anything?

27:11No, I won't be able to take any calls because I'll be on the train. There's no coverage.

27:15Mike Minogue:Yeah, okay. So no calls. Just a bit of relaxing time just reading a few scripts.

27:19Jason Hoyte:That sounds great. I wondered what, I mean, starting off with a challenging one. Say you like to go to the movies, Mogey. Yes. If you needed to get a bit of work done, but you had booked a, you know, you paid a million. I just have my laptop there and you just slightly dim the screen. On the movie theatre or the laptop? On my laptop. You don't want to disturb the people around you. And phone calls just hands free.

27:42Mike Minogue:Right, because that's the annoying part is when you've got your hands on the phone at a movie theatre. But the chat's all good. As long as it's hands free. I try and keep it short and sharp, but sometimes you've got to take a call. Yeah, okay. sort of halfway through a movie you're watching it and then you just hear Mogey go here he is, hello yeah okay good as gold mate

28:00Jason Hoyte:righto, but also it's really annoying when you're at the movies and you can see the brightness in your periphery from the phone screen so going hands free means there's no brightness from the phone, no that's right so I think that's really good, and what work are you doing there, is that reading or emails and stuff? oh it's probably tapping away on the emails there yeah but I'm a bit of a touch typer okay you're very quiet, yeah like this oh wow that is quiet so imagine that in a movie

28:25delete delete delete delete yeah nice when I type I look at my fingers and then when I look up at the screen I've been in caps lock for about 45 minutes so you've been yelling

28:35Mike Minogue:so then I'll be effing and jeffing so that's good stuff Pugs what about this you go out for dinner with your wife 20th wedding anniversary I scope out the restaurant before I get there the first thing I do is I go to the bathroom and I stash my laptop in behind the toilet. Right, behind the cistern there. Behind the cistern there. So then I just say to the wife, I've just got to pop into the toilet and do a little bit of paperwork. If you know what I mean. So strictly I'm not lying, then I get in there and I'm just pounding away on my keyboard. Cool, and how long are you in there for? Could be 30 to 40 minutes, three to four times an evening.

29:09Mike Minogue:Right, okay. Yeah, this is my 20th wedding anniversary? Yeah. Yeah. Cool. Yeah, it's amazing because it's amazing how you can do both. Oh, yeah. And neither suffers. I got one more here.

29:22Jason Hoyte:Cycling home from work, obviously you do that every day. I do. That's valuable time that you could be, say you were commuting on a bus, you'd have time to get the laptop out, but obviously you're push bike mogi. Yeah, that's right. So how are you getting work done if you're on the bike? I ride no hand. I ride no handed. And I've got one of those elastic stretchies. Oh, yes, bungee cord. The bungee cord. And I have one of those wrapped around my neck, and that's attached to my laptop. and I'm just pounding away. Yeah, right, okay.

29:50Mike Minogue:Have you got like a Bluetooth headpiece in or anything like that so you can take calls? It's time for my conversations and that, yeah. Yeah, cool. I get a lot of work done, man. There's a lot of time wasted by people on bikes that aren't on their laptops. Have you seen that? Yeah, idiots. Mostly. It's amazing stuff. Thanks for that, Moggy. Hey, anytime. Amazing insight. What about your daughter's parent-teacher evening? Huh? Your daughter's parent-teacher evening. Oh, that's easy. I don't go. Yeah. jeez Franz Ferdinand on the Horaki Big Show the Horaki Big Show weekdays from 4 on Radio Horaki it is the offspring on the Horaki Big Show 25 minutes past 5 o 'clock this Monday afternoon with Keezy Mogi and Pug San Hoi J he's under the weather hopefully back on deck tomorrow he will of course be back on deck this coming Thursday fellas we're hopping on an aeroplane flying down to Christchurch there bit of a build up for the Wild Foods Festival we are going to be doing a live show Fortal 7, the Richmond Club at the Critic Bar there.

30:46Mike Minogue:And then on the Friday, catching the Transalpine over the Alps. I can't wait. What an exciting way. I'm absolutely frothing. I've never been on a long train ride, you know, like on a decent train. I'm hoping that it's got, you know, carriages where you can buy food and all that sort of stuff. And it's got beds and things on there and, like, swimming pools. I don't know about swimming pools. I think you're thinking of a cruise ship. Oh. Like a big boat? Yes. Yeah, yeah. But I've heard it's delightful. My parents have done it several times. Delightful? Yeah. Don't know how I feel about that. Sounds like haoraki.

31:19Mike Minogue:Delightful? Yeah. I want cool. No, well, my parents have done it a few times. Have they? Have they? And they were saying... Should we talk about this for the moment, just the Transalpine, and then we'll get into your parents. No, it's all good. But they were saying it was pretty neat. So pretty fizzed up for that. And then, of course, the Wild Food Festival on the Saturday there. Pugs, man. A year ago, you were, am I right in thinking you were naked doing a yard glass in the middle of Stumpers Bar there? Am I remembering that correctly?

31:51Jason Hoyte:Very, very close, Kesey, yeah. And I had a whole mass crowd around me charging me on, really encouraging me to get through it. It took me a week, if I recall correctly, I hadn't done a yardie, so it was your doing mode. You put it out on the airwaves. You said, somebody bring one down. Did I? Yeah. That's good for me. You stitched me up then. I also had been talking about something that had happened to a friend of mine at the airport recently, and then three cops turned up. I don't know if you remember that. Oh, that's right, yeah. Well, one of the cops had the yard glass. Yes, it was the local sheriff.

32:25Jason Hoyte:Yes. It was the local sheriff. One of the great work trips I've ever had being a part of that. Agreed. Yeah.

32:30Mike Minogue:Obviously, because it was your birthday yesterday, are you excited to redo the yard glass down at Stumpers Bar there a year later and just show us your progress in that department? Do another yardie. Well, I don't know. It's just an idea. We don't have to do it. Well, I got a beat like 10 minutes. No, it was like five. Yeah, it was about five minutes. It was pretty good. I was impressed.

32:48Jason Hoyte:Yeah.

32:49Mike Minogue:Really? Yeah, yeah, yeah. My yard glass took about half an hour.

32:52Jason Hoyte:Weird that I don't remember.

32:53Mike Minogue:Yeah, it's funny that.

32:54Jason Hoyte:It's really odd. But I also have never taken a long train trip, fellas, and it's been something I've always wanted to do. Yeah. So I'm really, really excited. I haven't had a reason to do that destination, but the Wild Food Festival seems like the perfect one.

33:05Mike Minogue:100%. It's going to be an exciting few days there. You can, of course, keep up with it on the Hauraki Big Show's social media. Or you can come on down if you're in Christchurch, Richmond Club, The Critic Bar, this Thursday, 4 till 7. Jase, Mogi, Keezy, and old Pugsan will be down there. We've got Backbone Tees to give away and a few other goodies as well. Then on the Friday, on the train there, over to Hooker Ticker, watching the WARS at the local pub Friday night, 8 p.m. Cannot wait. And they're ripping into the Wild Food Festival on Saturday. Yeah. If you want tickets to the Wild Food Festival, by the way, wildfoods.co.nz.

33:38Mike Minogue:It is not too late. There are a few available. And that Warriors game is against the Canberra Raiders. It is going to be a hur of a game. It's going to be a doozy. Speaking of a hur of a game, the man we're about to talk to shortly flew over to India for a hur of a T20 cricketing game, you could say. It is G Lane. He flew over there to see the Black Caps take on India, and now he is staring down the barrel of like 48 hours of travel or something to make his way back. We're going to catch up with him on the phone next. The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. Soundgarden on the Hauraki Big Show with Keezy Mogi and old Pug-san.

34:15Mike Minogue:Horty J is away with the flu. Hopefully he'll be back on deck tomorrow. Someone who probably won't be back on deck tomorrow, however, is ACC head G-Lane, who travelled to the other side of the world, Mogi, to witness the Black Caps win the T20 final. Remind me, how did they go again? It wasn't great, but they didn't lose by over 100, so we've got that going for us. That's backbone shit. Lane, where are you, brother? I am at Minabad Airport. Right. Just about to fly out. I have to fly to Delhi, and then Delhi to Singapore, and then Singapore home where I will hug my children and cry to myself to sleep.

34:51The spy tells me you've sunk to such depths as you're actually wearing an Indian cricket jumper. Is that true? It was the only way I got out of the ground, to be honest, Moggy. I was in severe danger, and I thought the only way I'd get down here, and I'd bought an emergency Indian top. I whipped it on as I left. I got a standing ovation, and I avoided serious assault.

35:13Mike Minogue:Yeah, right. What was the atmosphere like there, G-Lane, as a Kiwi sitting in the Indian crowd? Mate, it is hard to describe 130 ,000 people. It's the biggest sports stadium in the world. And let's just say no traffic management. There's no crowd management. Everyone comes in on like a five-metre wide street. It's pretty, I don't think the coverage quite does it justice. The absolute bedlam and massive humanity and the smell. There's a lot of dudes. There's a lot of dudes in synthetic tops who are sweating heavily. So there's a certain odour that permeates around the ground. Very dude heavy. A lot of dudes.

35:54So many dudes in India. Just dudes hanging out doing dude stuff. Just dudes everywhere. Dudes on their phone, dudes holding hands, dudes just doing dude stuff. I was at the Bledisloe Cup game, the biggest crowd for a rugby union game between the All Blacks and Australia out at Stadium Australia. There was 110 ,000 people there. Taurau Kefu broke our heart scoring beside the post after the buzzer. But that was Australians and Kiwis. The noise, I'd imagine, with 130 ,000 minus four Kiwis must have been unbelievable. And outside of getting our asses handed to us, it must be a pretty special place to be.

36:31Oh, mate, the opening ceremony was next level. They had some local Indian pop stars, and then Ricky Martin came out and basically killed the vibe. What? Because they had some real rockin' Indian local superstars, and everyone was up dancing, and then out comes Ricky. She bangs, she bangs, and everyone just banged. Oh, she does bang, though, bro. That must have been sick. Yeah, and then the opening ceremony, that was pretty mean. The halftime entertainment, that was pretty good, like an amazing laser show. I just don't think anywhere else in the world would spend that much money on a single event.

37:05Well, the thing that is amazing about it as well is it's actually not a World Cup. It's the India tournament, and any other team can just go to hell, and we don't give you any coverage, and we can have one of our players, you know, the opposition team can be on a hat-trick, and we're not going to show it or give a shit. It's pretty amazing. It is just India's game, and everyone else can suck it. Yep, absolutely. The script went perfectly for everyone in cricket circles who was in the BCCI or the ICC. It was just the script was perfect. Everything worked out.

37:38Mike Minogue:We're chatting to G Lane, who is still over in India, having flown over there as quickly as possible to watch the World Cup final. G Lane, do you regret going over there and how long until you're actually back on New Zealand soil? No, you only regret the things you don't do, Keezy. I agree that's an experience and an atmosphere I'll probably never ever experience again and luckily they don't serve alcohol in this state because I think if I'd had a few beers I may have gotten a punch up but I've got a couple more stops to go I've got to go to Delhi then I've got to go to Singers and then I'll be home and I'll be home Wednesday morning yeah and then home Wednesday morning then probably straight into like a podcast or a commentary or something well there'll be a special podcast on Wednesday because I'm going to go through what I have to describe as thousands of messages of abuse in my DMs.

38:30So I'm going to do a mean tweets version of the podcast because there's some people out there who have kind of lost their mind a little bit. Yeah. There's a lot of people who believe in ghosts and a lot of people who believe in aliens who also believe in the curse and don't quite understand that it's just a bit of a joke. It's a bit of a joke. Exactly right. And full respect to you, Lane, from us here at The Big Show. Going all the way over there, It shows what a true fan you are of this team. How good it would have been if you had managed to witness a victory, but, jeez, getting over there is a hell of an effort.

39:01Thanks, Mogi. That means a lot. I'm looking forward to holding you when I get back. Well, for the next three, four years, God knows how many years it's going to be until we get another final. People are just going to be caning you with this curse bullshit, so enjoy that. If I was you, Lane, you'd better start making up some T-shirts, man, because you will sell millions of them. You might as well find a way to make a dollar out of it. The Black Cat supporters support T-shirts are already flying out the door.

39:24Mike Minogue:Bloody ripper. Well, look, G Lane, good luck for the trip home, mate. And if you do want to hear that wrap-up podcast, as he mentioned, check out the agenda on Wednesday once he's back. It's time for some push-push on the Hauraki Big Show. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike, and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki. It is the Hauraki Big Show, your backbones. It's also Monday, the 9th of March. Two minutes past 6. It's Keezy here with Mogi and Pogstone. Hoity J, under the weather, hopefully back on deck tomorrow. But it is the big show and it is brought to you by Toledo's. Why pause your thirst?

39:59Mike Minogue:Defeat it with Toledo's. That's right. Toledo's being a natural electrolyte drink, safe for the whole family. Thank you. Can I explain? It's sort of at the risk of bringing up a competitor's name. It's like a Powerade. And it's a new brand from a Kiwi company, Kiwi Family. and it's bloody delicious, man. Get them behind it. Yeah, and basically it's an electrolyte drink with none of the bad stuff, all natural ingredients, etc. If you're keen to try it, head to Any Fresh Choice around the country. They're rolling it out in various other supermarkets as well as we speak. Very exciting times. And it's great to have a New Zealand start-up company.

40:35Damn straight it is. And get a photo with yourself, Skullinbacker Toledo's AirTag, the big show winner, and you could be in to win yourself a billion dollars. So that is good stuff from you, pugs, guaranteeing that competition. and that's good shit.

40:47Mike Minogue:I don't have a billion dollars. You're a mad bastard. Yeah, if you did have a billion dollars, you've just promised to give it away with a Toledo competition, man. So you're a generous guy. Backbone. Also, if you've just joined us, you've just missed what's on the news with me, Keezy, which went off. Mogi basically put the call out and said, hey, text in on 3483. How do you feel this is going? We got one text, Mogi, from Daniel saying it's going off. Oh, it's going off. Hell yeah. Yeah, so it makes me feel good, and I'm excited to do that segment again. Daniel gets it, man. That's the thing. Yeah, he really does.

41:22Mike Minogue:Can't wait to do that again tomorrow. Hey, if you missed it, get the podcast this evening. It comes out around about 7 o 'clock. You'll be able to listen to it then. It is shit hot. It is shit hot.

41:39Mike Minogue:Pill Jam? Yeah, boy. I think so. It's the Haraki Big Show. The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki. Powder finger on the Hauraki Big Show. 30 minutes past 6 this Monday afternoon with Keezy, Mogi and Pugsan. Hooray Jay back on deck tomorrow, hopefully. A little bit under the weather, fellas. And he's probably under the weather as a result of attending Pugs' huge 30th birthday bash on Saturday night. We put a lovely photo of all four of the fellas up on the Hauraki Big Show's Instagram there. If you want to see it, go have a look. Lovely photo. Really nice.

42:13Mike Minogue:Really nice, guys. But what I don't get, Pugs, is quite a lot of the comments. Whenever we put a photo up, there's a lot of comments about Hoody J this or Mogey's Bulge's this or Keezy's Meat Patties or whatever. There's a lot of stuff.

42:26Jason Hoyte:Yeah.

42:27Mike Minogue:For example, people commenting, hey, happy birthday with a big thumbs up. Was that one on there? Yeah. Hey. Yeah, there's a few people. And then this one, which I don't understand. Pugs on the nose candy. Hey.

42:41Jason Hoyte:Hey. 45 likes. Yeah, I don't really get that either, man. I mean, I got pizza for everybody that went along, but there was no candy. Has it got any relationship to the comment from Kit that says Pugs is looking pretty focused?

42:57Mike Minogue:23 likes. So what is that? Because the photo is of Jace, Pugs, Mogi, and myself in front of the Sky Tower. It's great. We're all looking happy, and Pugs does have quite big eyes. And I don't understand why everyone's banging on about your eyes. A couple of bulges, though.

43:10Jason Hoyte:Yeah. Well, I mean, I was standing next to you, Mogi, and they looked large. Yeah, and even compared to me. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Which I thought was fascinating. I mean, in response to that last one, I was obviously focused. You know, the camera was flying around. One of our mates, Forrester, was taking the photo, and he was really getting all the angles there. So I was like, oh, where is it going? Yeah, totally, but your eyes. You could eat your dinner off those pupils, Pug-san. That's from Sam, 17 likes. That's very complimentary. I appreciate that.

43:36Mike Minogue:Great pick, fellas. Why are Pugs' eyes so warped? You're warped. Maybe it's a 0.5 photo. I don't understand. So why would people be commenting about your eyes and your pupils being massive? What has that got to do with anything?

43:50Jason Hoyte:I don't know because they're the same pupils that I've always got, Keezy. They're in my head 24-7. They do look massive. You were having a good geez, though, weren't you? Whatever it was, you couldn't believe it.

44:02Mike Minogue:But he was like that for most of the night. Oh, no, absolutely. Like he was walking around with a surprised look on his face. Like he ordered four pizzas, but he didn't want to eat any of them. Yeah, that was weird. I had no appetite, but thirsty as a bastard. And just charging the day.

44:14Jason Hoyte:Pretty sure I had heaps of the chips, though. Got some chips. No, I don't think you did. You know that thing where, like, I think it's a scientific thing where when you see someone you love, it's like, oh, they dilate. Your pupils dilate. Your pupils dilate. And still dilate it for hours. Well, I mean, hey, as I said earlier, people were turning up 8, 9 p.m., so each time it's like they're consistently focused on those people. Is it because you were smashing the gear? Huh? The Hauraki Big Show with Jace, Mike and Keezy. Tune in weekdays at 4 on Radio Hauraki.

44:46Mike Minogue:Bit of kazoo in that tune. Love rollercoaster. The Red Hot Chili Peppers on the Hauraki Big Show. 24 past 6 this Monday, Arvo with Keezy, Mogi and Pugsan. And fellas, this Thursday we finally give away the boat that we have had all summer. A Fin Chaser 535 center console. Mercury 60 horse four-stroke comes with a Voyager trailer and a whole lot of bells and whistles. the whole package worth over$75 ,000. All people have to do is name it. So you've got a few more days to get yourself in the draw by texting BOAT to 3483 and come up with a name for the boat. We've got a fresh batch of names here, Moggy.

45:21Mike Minogue:Would you like to hear something? Oh, man, you know how much I love this. All right, now, I don't want you to be too harsh, all right? Okay. Okay, because these are real names that real listeners have submitted. Sure, sure, sure, sure, sure. Bum Chum. Bum Chum, I like that. Bum Chum. The only question I guess I've got there is what relation does that have to a boat? I guess just chum. Just chum, yeah. I don't know. Bum chum. Bum chum. A little rhyme scheme there. Yeah, yeah. Because there was one the other day, the chum. Could you also have? Oh, no. The chum dumpster. So, Manawave.

45:54Jason Hoyte:Okay. Oh, that's quite good. Yeah. Yeah.

45:57Mike Minogue:Okay. That's cool. Aquaholic. Hold on. Instead of alcoholic? Nah. You don't like? Okay. Once again, just because we're saying no to it doesn't mean it's not going to win. Chafed cheeks. Chafed cheeks. I don't get that at all. What's that got to do with the boat, do you think? You strike me as a guy that would always get chafed cheeks, Pugs. Yeah, but I'm never out on a boat, Kesey. No, I don't know. Chafed cheeks. It's weird, isn't it, that one?

46:22Jason Hoyte:I mean, I guess it's weird. What if it's like, you know how when you go swimming in the salt water and you've got your board shorts and then you start to get a little chafe in your thighs there? Yeah, it's a bit. Maybe it's a long bow, isn't it? Yeah. Yeah. I don't have cheeks on my thighs. I like this one here, the far canal. Far canal, yeah, that's classic. Like where you take the boat out. Yeah. That canal over there. Nah. It's a prawn hub. We've had that one. Have we? And that continues to be great.

46:50Mike Minogue:What about this one here? Honky dory. Because a dory? Like a John dory. Everything's honky dory. Everything's honky dory. I guess there's a racial connotation there. there was that sort of that racial insult there, honky. I don't know if I'm comfortable with that. We could change it to honk-a-dory. Yeah, there we go. Now we're talking. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sinking, the motorboat, power to the people, sound wave, donkey, hullabaloo, ship for brains. Should we just fly through them? Ship for brains is good. Dream catcher, trailer weight, salty steez, chasing fins, sinking tins. There's just so many great names.

47:30Mike Minogue:He doesn't even want your reaction anymore, mate. Nah, I can't call it. Shit. They're all terrible. It's pretty much... No, there's some goodies in there. This is the worst one of the lot. Mania. Oh, really? That sucks. That's a terrible name. Don't forget. Text BOAT to 3483. Name the boat, and if you win, it will be written on the side.

47:52Jason Hoyte:If I'm not mistaken, it's 8.40am on Thursday with Jerry and Mania. Oh, okay. 8.40am. With who? Jerry and Mania. Jesus, what a terrible name. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.

48:15Mike Minogue:There you go, you massive backbones. The Hauraki Big Show done for Monday the 9th of March. Hopefully Hoity J will be back on deck with us tomorrow. We'll check in on him tomorrow morning, eh? Yeah, man. What are you doing there? Just sort of air punching? Just punching my microphone, you know. I'm excited to get home, man. A little bit of dinner, a little bit of work. Far out. I'd be excited too if that was me.

48:37Jason Hoyte:Pugs, what's the clip for today's podcast outro, man? Today's clip is about the next episode of Come Dine with the Fellas where you're going to be doing some hosting, Keezy. Maybe. Maybe.

48:49Mike Minogue:I'm going to be working like a bastard that day because my wife is like, I'm not having a bar of any of this shit. Yeah. She'll be part of the entertainment. She'll chat to you guys and, you know, but that's about it. My partner, very, very competitive and very proud She's going to have to step up her chat, your Mrs Keezy Because her conversation's really dry See? See that right there If I said that about Jace's wife Game over Head run home Head run home, tell her She'd be upset with me Yeah, this is after We'll get into this tomorrow, I think, on the show The reaction from Hoity J and his wife Who were both at Pugs' 30th over the weekend that we were all at Yes Frosty atmosphere, to say the least It was In all honesty, it actually was.

49:30Mike Minogue:Yeah, just a wee bit. But like in a fun, frosty way? Oh, I hope so. Fun for us. Yeah. My wife hates it, eh? Yeah, she's not happy. She's literally like, why didn't you just give it a 10? I'm like, because it wasn't a 10. She's like, I wanted to give it a 10. I'm like, I know, but I wanted to give it a 6. I love how it's causing fractures in your household. It actually is. She's pissed off. She's like, I don't want Hoody J and his wife to hate us. And I'm like, they don't hate you. Just me. Anyway, Mogey, you're going home, do a bit of work. Go to bed, wake up, do a bit of work. Pugs, what are you doing tonight, man?

50:04Jason Hoyte:Look, I'm going to pop home. I've got one of those food subscription services for the week, so dinner should be pretty chill. Rich guy. And then I'll watch a bit of TV. Is that Meals on Wheels, man? Yeah, because I'm 30 now. Show me some Meals on Wheels. But no, just chill, watch a bit of TV. Nice, man. Maybe some Edmund, who knows.

50:24Mike Minogue:Yeah, sounds great. How about you, Keezy? I'm going to go home. A girl's coming to pick up a shelf. Oh, nice. My wife sold a shelf and I have to give it to this girl. Sorry, what?

50:37Mike Minogue:I have to help her carry it to the car. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I don't know what you guys were. But then, yeah, probably watch a wee bit of TV. Location, location, location. Seriously, it's so great. Love it. Have you tried maths? I bet when you're hanging out with those young kids in the office, they just think you're the man, Keezy. We were talking about this last week. Yeah. The question was, do the young kids in the office think that Keezy is a 34-year-old who watches Location, Location, Location and Grand Designs is old? Do they think I'm old? The answer is yes. Nah, man, I'm still young. But that's what I'm doing and I can't bloody wait.

51:07Mike Minogue:Thank you so much for joining us today on The Big Show. Don't forget, you can check out the podcast, the highlights of the entire show. 7.30 tonight, Search Hardaki Big Show. Shit, I've gone over. Bye. See you tomorrow at four.
