In short
The hosts banter about people playing football outside the studio, then pivot to what drinks they’d offer guests at a potluck/house visit, including free beer giveaways and fridge-stock debates.
Guests
No named guests; only the regular hosts are referenced (Keezy, Jase, Mogey, Pugsun, plus “Jerry” as a coworker who tried the beers).

Notable examples
free beers in the foyer; “soda and lime” bottles; kombucha (fig/passionfruit); low-carb beers, tonic water, gin/spirits, Baileys, wine; espresso martini described as coffee with vodka and “piss.”

0:17Mike Minogue:Yep.
0:18Keyzie:I don't know how I feel about these dudes with their pigskins outside. You know, throwing the pigskin around. I mean, why is this suddenly happening outside our studio? Because the weather's gotten better. So there's a window right outside, a window from our studio. We can see people outside, and there's a bunch of, I guess you would say local toughs that come down from upstairs from the corporate world, and they roll up their white-sleeved shirts and they start tossing the pigskin around, sort of making out that they're all cool and shit in front of their lady friends. I think they're just having fun.
0:52No, Keezy, they're not.
0:53Mike Minogue:I feel like it's really weird that you, especially Jase, is so anti it. Like, it's just some young guys who, on their break, are throwing a footy around. I reckon it's great.
1:01Keyzie:Don't know that they're that young, Keezy. They're not young. One of them is about 45. Yeah, about your age.
1:06Mike Minogue:Yeah, 100%. That's all good. You know. Sucking on that vape. Now they're leaving because you keep looking out there like, what's it cool when you're just glaring at them? Keezy always goes against you, eh, Jase? Have you noticed that, man? Oh, you know. I'm used to it, man.
1:17Keyzie:But listen, that's fine. I'm all for the fellas having a bit of fun. Doesn't sound like it. Doesn't sound like it at all. They only do it when there's ladies sitting on the seat observing them.
1:28Mike Minogue:No, no, no. No, sorry. That lady was throwing the football around before. She was tossing the pigskin. Yeah. But I've never seen them without a woman there. That's true. You're right there.
1:37Keyzie:It's just their friend group. It's their taking their shirts off too. It just really gets deep inside my goat. It's a beautiful day. They were giving away free piss just before out in the reception area. In the foyer. In the foyer. Just dozens. I won't name the brand. Sure. Dozens of beersies for free. Our own Pugsun went and grabbed, and I quote, five boxes. You quote? I thought it was four. It was five.
2:14Mike Minogue:This is what Pugs does, though. Whenever there's a freebie giveaway, he's straight there because he's closest to the door. There was a pass to giveaway the other day. It was one packet per person. He grabbed a bag with four, or maybe it was five. A pass. So what he does is get down there and clear it out before anyone else can take it.
2:29Keyzie:I never knew that about Pugs. I knew he was a sex fiend, but I never knew that. He was a prize pig. That he was a prize pig. And in actual fact, if you had have asked me out of anyone out of the big show, who would you say would be the prize pig? I would have said me. Right. I would have said Mogey. And it turns out it's actually Pugs because none of us got free shit.
2:51Mike Minogue:I grabbed one box of it. Well, I got offered there, Jase. Yeah, we did.
2:55Keyzie:We did. And I don't know, I just don't like taking stuff for free. Well, you don't drink. Or that as well. You know what I mean? It just doesn't... It doesn't sit right. It just doesn't feel right to do that when there's backbones out there struggling away. My concern was that I'd get it home and then it would sit. I'd have one and then I'd save those for the visitors while Keezy's coming around for a potluck soon.
3:18Mike Minogue:And then smash them all? Yeah, probably. Yeah. I'm going to have them though because Jerry came in the other day and said they were delicious. And he actually came into the office midway through getting ready for Seven Sharp to steal a box of them. He did, yeah. So I'm like, oh, they must be good. Like shanties apparently, Jase.
3:34Keyzie:Right, okay. I'm not into my flavoured beers. Well, I never used to be into my flavoured beers. It seems weird to me. Is it a beer? Is it a beer? I thought it was an RTD. It's a beer, I believe it to be. He said it's a beer with lemon in it. Oh, God, really? It's like a shanty, he said, like lemonade. It was like a shanty. He described it as. And one with like pineapple. Oh, God. You know, and that just seems... Get it in you, Keezy. To be fair, I will. What are you guys running in, you know, say one of the fellas, not me obviously, but one of the fellas popped over, what are you running in your fridge there to offer them up?
4:11Mike Minogue:I've got a whole lot of kombucha cans. I've got a whole lot of Coke Zero cans. I've got four or five Boss coffee cans, and then I've got a whole lot of cans of low-carb beer. We've got water. Holy fuck. You can't have water, man. We've got several bottles of wine, obviously. Right. Do you have like a wine? Do you have beers? Yeah, I was going to say, surely you've got. Did you? Yeah, I said a whole heap of low-carb beers. Oh, right. Okay. And then I've got a bottle of cold, sparkling red wine in the fridge, which is very nice.
4:39Keyzie:Is that from your Europe tour?
4:41Mike Minogue:No, it's not. It's the one. Remember when Lucy's cousin stayed with us? And then I was like, let's drink the wine. Oh, did they not drink it? No, we bought another bottle to replace it. Right. What happened there? I think we bought two. I think I convinced it. I was like, no, let's get two because we'll drink one. And then we haven't drunk the other one. Right. Now, good. You can bring that to the potluck.
5:01Keyzie:What potluck? Are we having a potluck? If you came to my house.
5:05Mike Minogue:Yeah, if. Okay, so this is a hypothetical situation.
5:08Keyzie:I could offer you fellas a milk.
5:10Mike Minogue:Oh, yeah. The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. The Hauraki Big Show podcast. Can I guess what you could offer? Yes. Okay. Iced coffee.
5:25Keyzie:No. Yeah, that's exactly right. I make my own iced coffee. That's what I'm talking about. I could, yes, of course. You'd make me an iced coffee? I could make you an iced coffee. I don't have it in my fridge. But you wouldn't. That's why you said it's not on offer.
5:36Mike Minogue:Yeah, right. So you can scrape that off. I don't think you've got anything decent drinks-wise in your fridge. I feel like you're a real water or walk to the dairy guy. Water, tea, and coffee.
5:46Keyzie:No, we do have water. We also have soda and lime. I like a bit of fizz So have you got a soda stream? Soda and lime No, just I buy like a soda and lime Bottle of soda and lime Do you? Yeah
5:58Mike Minogue:Soda and lime? Yes Why? I've never heard of this Really? You like soda and lime? Yeah Why don't me and Mogi already know about this? I don't know Do you like the stuff?
6:08Keyzie:We've got a couple of big bottles of kombucha Yep A fee jar and a passion fruit I think
6:15Mike Minogue:Yeah, we've got the cans The little cans of kombucha are all fee jar I've got the big fuck off bottles
6:20Keyzie:And it's really weird because I'm not a big fan of kombucha, so I don't know why I buy them. Yeah. So you're buying them. I could give you a glass of kombucha.
6:29Mike Minogue:What else is there? That's about it. I'm going for the Fijal kombucha.
6:33Keyzie:That's about it. And milk.
6:37Mike Minogue:I reckon you're light blue. Yes. Mogi, what kind of milk are you? I'm not any milk, but my daughter is dark blue milk. Blue top, yeah. And what else have we got in there, Keezy? We've got half a bottle of Pepper Jack Pinot Noir sitting there. In the fridge? No, it's not in the fridge. It's available to drink. Right. And we've got tonic water, soda water out of a soda stream. Yes. Yes. We've got cans and bottles of tonic water. Go with the 10 bottles of gin we've got. You're a gin. Obviously, all the spirits that we've got. But I think we're out of beers. Right. We've got Baileys. Do you want some Baileys?
7:17Mike Minogue:Obviously, Port. We tend to buy them to drink them. I don't sort of have them sitting in the fridge all week. Yeah, I try not to have too many beers in the fridge because I don't want to get into the habit of having after work beers. I will every now and then when I'm making dinner, which I'm doing more often these days, which has been quite fun. Well, because your wife's never home anymore, Kezi. No, exactly, because she's doing extracurricular activities. That's it. She's the leading tri-scorer for her touch team, apparently.
7:41Keyzie:That's good.
7:42Mike Minogue:That is good.
7:43Keyzie:Whenever I hear gin, I always think of what, I won't say it on air, but what my stepmother used to say about gin. Well, there is something about a gin, isn't there? Normally people cry on a gin. Yeah, it's oppressive. Well, all our goals are depressing. Yeah, that's right. But for some reason, gin especially. And she always goes, oh, bloody gin, it's a leg opener. Oh, the leg opener, yeah. Well, my legs are open at all times. Yeah, well, you do the big manly sort of. Knees spread.
8:18Mike Minogue:Do you see just then, when he said, and my nas, he's the one that makes the podcast dirty. I told you. You don't need to tell me that, Keezy. I'm on the lookout for it now.
8:27Keyzie:All disclaimers are on Mogey.
8:28Mike Minogue:Yeah.

8:29Keyzie:And it's him that brings the filth. You and I are actually quite clean. You're a shocking bastard.
8:34Mike Minogue:See, and then he says, I'm a shocking bastard, and then everyone's mine. Another wicket. Oh, who was that?
8:38Keyzie:Latham. He's shocking. But, yeah. But, you know, even when I did drink, I didn't have anything to offer anyone because there was none left. I feel like having stuff to offer is a real, like,
8:51Mike Minogue:you're in your 30s now thing. Oh, you wouldn't generally do it. I remember, yeah, going around to a mate's place when we were, like, teenagers and you'd take a few beers over there, you know. Yeah, yeah, for sure. And the next day you'd go back and you'd, not me, but other people, go and pick them up. 100%. You can't pick them up. But that's how it used to be. But you think that when you're young, right? That's still mine, but they're the host, mate. They keep your piss. Yeah, not any – like, it is once you hit, like, late 20s, I think, you start leaving it there. Yeah, but before then when you're poor, fuck no.
9:17Mike Minogue:I was always taking it home with you. It's treasures. If you guys did come over, I would go and buy some beersies.
9:22Keyzie:You might wonder why we were there. I'd go and buy some beersies. I wouldn't want you to. Well, I would. I wouldn't. I'll have one of your kombuchas, thanks. Okay, that's fine. If you put some vodka in it.
9:33Mike Minogue:I'll have milk, please. You'll have a glass of milk. Actually, I have an espresso martini. I've never had one of those. Seriously.
9:42Keyzie:Oh, would you like it? Yeah, you'd like it.
9:44Mike Minogue:Yeah, it's just coffee with vodka and it's got piss in it.
9:47Keyzie:It's two good things going on there, man. Espresso martini rules.
9:51Mike Minogue:It's delicious. Are they sweet? Yep. It's like a coffee with sugar in it. Right, okay. But there's also piss in it. Yeah, yeah. They're delicious. Good solid piss. I'd have milk. In your espresso martini? Nah, just if I was a Jason. If he invited me around. Oh, yeah, a glass of milk. Can you invite me around for a glass of milk? We're going to do some stuff out the back. You know, you'd like get a sweater and you'd go inside for a glass of milk. Nothing better, man. I'd have a milk moustache. Yes. And you'd go, you've got a little bit, and you'd point to your own lip, your own top lip, and I'd wipe, but I wouldn't get all of it.
10:24And so you'd use your finger, and you'd wipe the milk off. Here we go.
10:28Mike Minogue:And then what? I'll get the disclaimer ready.
10:31Keyzie:No, I think we're okay today. We all good? We probably should have yesterday in hindsight, actually. That was shocking from you two. Is that another wicket?
10:40Mike Minogue:Oh, for fuck's sake. No, I might be in between overs. Yes. Yeah, good. hey listen to the big show 4 to 7 weekdays on Radio Haraka
