Yeah, man. Hi. G'day, fizz. Ha ha. Boat shirt. Boat shirt. Yeah, boat shirt's back. That was more a laundry thing. Was it? Yeah, I mean, I've sort of gone off my boat shirt a bit. Why is that? I like it. Well, just because you guys give me so much jeep. I very rarely mention it. It's a Keezy thing. But it looks like there's a huge race going on all across your body there. Yeah, yeah. Regatta. Regatta, yeah.
0:41Mike Minogue:To be fair, I don't really ever diss it. I just say, oh, boat shirt. You just mention the boat shirt.
0:45Keyzie:Yeah, yeah.
0:46Mike Minogue:And somehow you take offence to that.
0:47Keyzie:It's like your prison jacket and stuff, eh?
0:49Mike Minogue:See, that's offensive. Is it? Because I'm just pointing out that you've got boats on your shirt. There's nothing wrong with being in prison, Keezy. Well, there is.
0:56Keyzie:But also, you know, I don't know if you guys had this today. I had a bit of a... Semi? Wow, no, I had a rager. Bullshit. Full, full... Here we go. Rager. Good to be back.
1:09Mike Minogue:No, you didn't. What do you mean? Jase, have Jase. Keezy, I woke up with a rager. Hang on, so have you had an erection today?
1:17Keyzie:Yes. I woke up with one. Mogie? I can't remember.
1:23Mike Minogue:No, neither do I. Probably. Probably, I don't know.
1:27Keyzie:But anyway... So an old moogie. The point I was trying to make before Keezy started talking about rages was I haven't quite been able to gauge the temp today. I've been in and out, sort of in and outdoors, and it's like, am I cold or am I hot? What am I? If it rains, you've got your boat shirt. And if it rains, you know, yeah, I've got my boat shirt on. I walked to work today because I thought, oh, it's going to rain later. Better not take my bike. It'll get trapped because it's going to piss down for the next sort of four days. Is it? For tomorrow, shocking. Shocking. Is it really? No golf for you, bastards.
2:02Friday. So I thought I'd walk, and of course I've walked, and it hasn't rained.
2:05Keyzie:My weather forecast was for four days of cloud. Ah. So there you go. Oh, my God.
2:12Mike Minogue:Thursday, I've booked to do my restricted motorcycle test.
2:15Keyzie:I thought you'd already done that for some reason.
2:17Mike Minogue:No, I just got my learners. Oh, right. This one, I have to actually go with someone, and they have to watch me ride it. It's quite a long ride as well, isn't it? Is it in like an hour or something? Yeah, it's an hour long. Yeah. Thursday, 100 % chance of rain all day. 100 % chance, man. Right.
2:30Keyzie:How's Friday looking for the golf there, Keezy?
2:32Mike Minogue:Friday for golf, Jase is looking great.
2:34Keyzie:Yeah, good. That's the main thing.
2:35Mike Minogue:But I'm going to be saturated doing this fucking test. Satched.
2:39Keyzie:Lame. How did we recover from the weekend, fellas? We all tickety-boo? Sweet as. Yeah, yeah. Well, Keezy, I guess, is the question, because you're the one that was hammering piss. What did you end up doing after we left you? Because we, Jase and I, went back to our respective hotels, and you went out, I'm assuming.
2:57Mike Minogue:This is after the Black Clash event. After the Black Clash. So the night before, we were up till 3.30am doing various things. And then, so Saturday before the Black Clash, the worst I've felt. Was that Pugs as well? It was Pugs as well, mainly Pugs, to be honest. This is the worst I've felt ahead of a Black Clash. I was like, fuck this. I cannot be fucked. And we were trying to, Liam and I were trying to drink ourselves out of a hole. He managed to balance it right and stopped so that he wasn't pissed while commentating. but wasn't feeling hung over. And he said he nailed it. He was happy with that.
3:27Mike Minogue:And I just had to keep going. Saturday night after the event, I was fucked. I was completely, I was knackered. Right. And then we were like, we'll go to the ACC house, have a couple, say bye. And then we'll go to the hotel. Did that, stayed there for about two hours or something. And then we went back to the hotel and then the after party was still on. Yeah. But I was hungry. I was like, I'll go in there and find something to eat. And then we were at the after party for like an hour. Didn't go to bed till like 2.30. Right. It was fucking, like it was great. But shit, I was tired yesterday.
3:51Keyzie:Can I just say, I recall you being in a terrible state at the last Black Clash. Really? Yeah, I remember you waking up in your hotel room. And there's no judgment in that. I just remember you being really, really ill and just going, I woke up in my hotel room and I was just like, I was just sculling water and just felt like shit. I can't remember that one. In Christchurch. In Christchurch. Yeah, yeah.
4:15Mike Minogue:Who was the Gale? Chris Gale, yeah. And after that, I can't remember what we did. I can't remember where we stayed. It's so bad isn't it Yeah no idea Were you pissed at that one Yeah yeah We were in the hot tub I was drinking a little Hot tub We were in the hot tub We were I was drinking but it was hard No I wasn't pissed It all blends though doesn't it Yeah it just gets a little bit I remember there was somebody that said I've come all the way from so and so Therefore I get to I have to do everything Me I have to do everything that she said Essentially was the vibe that I was getting But I've come all the way from blah blah Just to see you Yeah, yeah.
4:52Well, okay. What'd you do? Well, I just kept on saying 80 hellos and then eventually just ignoring, even though they were right behind us, actually, when we were in the spa. Oh, right. And they were screaming at us from point blank range. Oh, I know who you're referring to. And you just refused to turn around. I guess like we did the other night, you just refused to turn around. Yeah.
5:12Mike Minogue:Well, the good news is the only wasted people directly behind us this time was my wife and Minaya's partner. The Horaki Beach Show, weekdays from four. On Radio Hauraki. The Hauraki Big Show Podcast.
5:26Keyzie:This is interesting information because I didn't know Manar had gone hard the night before. He had. I did see him out the front of the hotel about two hours before our broadcast looking very, very sketchy.
5:40Mike Minogue:So we went back to Bruco for lunch. The ACC warm-up was there. And people had come down to have a bit of a yarn and stuff, which is fine. And Kelly from NZME, who's great, she was down there with a mate and they were sitting in the corner with us and she made comment to my wife afterwards that, man, Kizium and I had nothing to offer earlier today. Like she'd never seen us that quiet before. Yeah, yeah. And it's because we were just sitting in the corner punching bears trying to like. That's the thing. And kudos to you for going down there because you go, oh, we're going off down to Bruca. I was like, fuck that.
6:13Yeah. But no, but that's what I'm saying. Kudos to you. You feel like shit. You know you're going to get heaps of yarns. I was just like, man, I've got no yarn.
6:20Keyzie:Yeah, yeah. But also I can see the reasoning behind it too because you're going there to effectively punch bears and get free piss and get on it again. And also... So it's not that big a commitment, to be fair. No, hang on. In a way, it's disgraceful. Talk yourself up, Casey. You weren't there.
6:37Mike Minogue:Come on, man. In fact, no one saw you anywhere all weekend.
6:41Keyzie:Mate, I was vigorously walking around the city of Tauranga. I got besieged down on Saturday morning by punters starting early at the bars there. Right. On the Strand? On the Strand, yeah. I'll tell you what happened to me after we finally got home. Matt Heath and I managed to get a lift off with the people in TVNZ. And I was literally in the boot of the van lying on Mr. Plus. Mr. Plus the... Plusy. Plusy. Oh, really? You know, the mascot. The mascot.
7:12Mike Minogue:Plusy. How good.
7:13Keyzie:Was Ethan still inside it? No, no, it was just empty, but I was just lying on that because there was no room. Oh, how good. And got back to the hotel room, maybe about 20 past half past 11, and I was fucking starving. Oh, yeah. Like starving. And I went out and there was just, Tauranga was asleep. It was dead. You have to Uber like McDonald's or some shit. I was so, so gutted. I couldn't believe it. Did you Uber eat anything? No, because it was, I thought, oh, it's probably too late for fucking Uber. Oh, okay, damn it.
7:44Mike Minogue:Yeah.
7:45Keyzie:Don't even look. Don't even try. It's not even worth checking.
7:48Mike Minogue:Did you hear about Bex's interesting rendezvous in the car park? Oh. Bex Sandy's? Yeah, I did. Yeah, did you hear about that, Jason? I did hear about it. Yeah, you told me about it. I did. At breakfast. I don't want to wait. Is it her story to tell on days? She won't. Is that the kind of story that she'll tell on days? I don't think she would. Well, let's put it this way. Somebody from Radio Horeki went outside for a cigarette. In our hotel, just out the front there. That's right. At 12.30 in the morning. A.M. A.M. That's confusing. And went out there and her eyes were adjusting, or his, were adjusting to the light.
8:23And then it became clear that there was a man over yonder, sort of by the cars, and a woman. The woman looked much shorter than the man, and her head was making a particular movement. Like a back and forward movement? It was a movement. And then fairly soon after that, The man put one hand on the roof of the nearest car and sort of went.
8:46Keyzie:Right, like a yawn or something like that. Yeah. And then he hopped on an electric scooter and rode off into the night. The woman in question then approached the person who worked at Horeki and asked her or him for a cigarette, which she or he gave her. And then a taxi turned up or an Uber. And the woman in question jumped in a cab and took off.

9:09Mike Minogue:So they agreed to meet in a random hotel car park. Now, what that screams to me, Keezy, is affair. You reckon? That's an affair to me. You don't think prostitute? It's too weird a place. We're talking plain view of the front doors of that hotel.
9:29Keyzie:It's a strange place. My instinct is prostitute too on that one. Yeah. Well, you'd know. I mean, you'd know. Why don't we just ask you? Yeah. Was it a prostitute you were with on Saturday night? And what kind of scooter were you riding? It was just one of the local. What are they called down in Totoro?
9:45Mike Minogue:So you could fire up the lions but not Uber Eats.
9:49Keyzie:But yes.
9:50Mike Minogue:What was with the slapping the roof and yawning? What was that about? How good. Yeah, so that's an interesting one. That's about as good as it got in terms of the stories, but that was pretty good. But all in all, that was one of my more enjoyable black clashes, I think. I think the game was good.
10:10Jase? The ride home was really good. The ride home was better, Keezy. We went a different way. The motorway way. We went the non-Keezy way.
10:18Mike Minogue:Oh, the Hamilton motorway, yeah.
10:20Keyzie:It was about an hour faster. It may or may not have been faster, but it felt faster.
10:24Mike Minogue:Well, the reason we went that other way on the way down was because maps told us that way was 15 minutes longer. Ah, there you go. It was like traffic or something. There you go. Yeah, yeah. The Keezy way actually isn't either of those two ways. It's through the gorge. Right. Pairua, Nātea, and then it comes out to Puna, where my parents live. Yes, we've been that way before. Monadon, yeah, it's a good way, man. Hey. Hey. Listen to The Big Show, 407, weekdays, Radio Hauraki. Yeah, man. Okay.
