0:30Keyzie:That's for free. That's great. Yeah. I woke up this morning with a scraping sound that went on and on and on. Right. And I was like, what the fuck is that sound? Yeah. And my wife was the same, but neither of us could be fucked getting out of bed to see. And what was it?
0:44Mike Minogue:It was Chase searching the bottom of the barrel for gags. Yeah, yeah. Chase's nuts dragging on the ground. Yeah. Dragging those nuts, scraping them. Scraping.
0:56Keyzie:You guys finished?
0:58Mike Minogue:Oh, Jesus. We're always just getting started, man.
1:00Keyzie:No, what it was, fellas, and this has never happened before outside the apartment, it's six o 'clock in the morning. Which is quite late. A group of six fellas, six fellas, literally raking up the leaves. Oh, raking. Raking it. They've never done that. They blow it. They've never raked it. And I was like, oh, God damn it. Lucky you've got no work until, you know, sort of three in the afternoon or whatever. Mate, I have had my hands full all day. He's had his hands in his pockets. You've been double-shaped. On my massive cock. Yeah, nice. Boom. Boom, there's the trailer. Pugs. Pugs, you get that one?
1:38Keyzie:Flip it off, man. Flip it off for the show. Flip it off, brother. That's the one. That's the one. But, fellas, what I did do is I went to your hairdresser today. What do you reckon?
1:46Mike Minogue:Oh, you did. Okay, for those listening, Jason's put himself a little, like, side part thing. Looks very cute. He likes cosplaying Adolf Hitler. Oh, does it really? The funny thing was The other night When we were at Jase's apartment Before we went out To the comedy show Yeah He did his hilarious Adolf Hitler hair Right And his daughter Looked at him And was just like No you don't do that Yeah That's the thing He likes to joke about
2:09Keyzie:Yeah yeah yeah I was actually And Jase was like Really? I was just watching Pugs He better not have Taken a photo of that Because if you did I don't want it published Why? Too bad Because Put a little mo on him I'm just over it man I'm over the shit Put a little mo on him Well you're doing it At work, mate. It's open slather. Slather is open. My hat was giving me a headache. Right. Because it was a bit tight, so I took my hat off, and that's how my hair happened to be. And what about the hand gesture? Yeah.
2:41Mike Minogue:Come on, Phil. What is that all about? No, but seriously, though, Jase, you've been busy today. Yeah, real busy.
2:50Mike Minogue:Oh, yeah. Oh, what about you? Oh, were you filming today, Keezy? Filmed Game of Two Halves. Tell you what, fucked. After that. Yeah. You know when you like mentally dump your purse out everywhere? You just dump it out. Dump your load everywhere, yeah. You fucking dump it everywhere. But I worked out. It was because Guy Williams was on it with me, who's fucking high energy, and Brodie Kane as well. Also, it was a super high energy, and I was just like, holy fuck, at the end of it, I was rinsed.
3:13Keyzie:Yeah.
3:14Mike Minogue:Still good to go, though, fellas.
3:15Keyzie:Because you were saying off air about those fellas.
3:19Mike Minogue:Yeah, I was.
3:20Keyzie:What was it again? I won't say it. What was I saying? No, no, what you were saying off air stays off air, Keezy. Okay, is it a new policy? Does it start today, does it? What about you, Mogi? So, Nui, a little bit of work. You know what? I'm finally, I feel almost, outside of my runny honker, but I almost feel as good as I felt prior to going away for Magic Round. Yeah, right. I'm done with it, eh? Yeah, man.
3:46Mike Minogue:Classic post-Magic Round thing to say. Well, a couple of weeks on, though. So I never at any point over that drinking period, except for maybe the first four or five drinks that I had on the Saturday, because we went to bed pretty early on the Friday, 11.30, 11, 11. That's pretty good. But went out for lunch, just had some drinks. It's like this is the best time. Those first couple of hours. They rule. And then the rest of it, you're sort of pretty fucked. I mean, I had a good time, but fuck it knocks you. And as good as I felt every single day, not drinking and not smoking, I don't think you can trade it in.
4:25Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. The Hauraki Big Show podcast. Over the week, obviously while I was at Magic Ground, I'd have the occasional durry if everyone was having one. Yeah. And then we were at a friend's house for dinner on Saturday night. Who loves one? She was like, I'm actually going to go out for a durry. I just hope you don't mind. I haven't had a durry in like a month, but I've just had a massive craving for a durry, and I really just want to go and have a durry right now. And then everyone's like, yeah, sweet dad. She's like, does anyone want to join? He's like, nah, nah.
4:52And then my wife goes, Chris will probably join you.
4:55Mike Minogue:He had durries at Magic Round.
4:56Keyzie:Oh, is she fuming about that? Secretly? No, she wasn't. Secretly is she fuming? Sounds like she was digging you. Yeah, she is. Digging you out in front of the boys.
5:03Mike Minogue:And then she was like, why don't you just go and have a durry with her? And I was like, oh, okay. Yeah, go on, big man. Apparently I have durries now just randomly. Yeah. So it was my first ever just like random durry. Well, you. Wasn't that great? You're delicious.
5:14Keyzie:I would class you now, Keezy, as a heavy smoker. Yeah, you're a shocking bastard.
5:18Mike Minogue:I'm a heavy smoker. What are you? That's how I class you.
5:21Keyzie:I'm a non-smoker.
5:23Mike Minogue:Right. Yeah, yeah. That's true. So am I the heaviest smoker of the big show? At the present moment, yes. You've been the most recent smoker. When was that? Saturday. Oh, no, Pugs would have had about a billion since then. Saturday. Oh, yeah, he's a chain smoker. He is a shocking bastard on that from me. I might have been on a Saturday as well. Yeah. But anyway, by and large, feeling much better. Thanks, fellas. Well, that's good, man. Yesterday was pretty rough. Was it? Yeah. You didn't seem off, man. You seemed good. No, he did.
5:52Keyzie:He did. Did he? He seemed really off to me.
5:54Mike Minogue:No, he seemed great. You seemed a bit off to me yesterday. Well, I did? Yeah. In what sense? I don't know. Just for the fuck of it?
6:03Keyzie:Oh, that. Ooh, grim. Yeah, it's really grim. Oh, well, that's good then. So they were high energy, Keezy. They were high energy, and you tried to match them.
6:15Mike Minogue:Well, no, I actually held my own quite well, Jase. Oh, yeah. I held my own quite well. Well, we'll see when we don't watch it. Yeah, we'll see in the final edit, eh? That's all good. Joe Damon, are you associated with him? No, no, I'm not associated, but I know him. Yeah, really nice guy. Never met him before. Fucking lovely guy. He is. Lovely guy. Who? I can't believe it. Joe Damon. Never heard of him. Fuck you, the man. You're the chap. But you've never heard of the people that work in that office out there.
6:41Keyzie:Do people work out there? Kate. Who's that? Dilly. Dilly? Pugs. Oh, I know the name. Pugs, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. What does he do again? I don't know. He just sort of floats. I don't know. Is he the guy that's like in a whore of a mood every time you come in? That's him. 100 % that's him. Oh, that guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that guy. I say hello to him, but he's like, whatever, dude. And so I've just given up now. I just go on. Yeah, he's a idiot, man. He's the one with the shiny boat shoes. That's the one, yeah. The bastard. What did you just call him before? Every time he comes in here, he's shimmying them up, giving them a shake.
7:13He does. Yes. Yeah, and then punching him. He's got them out on his desk, give them a little spit shine there. Did you guys ever shine your shoes? Yep. Yep, yep, yep, yep. Was that a thing you had to do for school? What you had to do, Jason, you'll remember this, of course, you had to get your little brush out with your nugget. And you get your – well, first of all, you get a cloth and you wipe off all the excess dirt, et cetera, et cetera. So then you get your Kiwi.
7:36Mike Minogue:Your Kiwi boot polish. Yes. Which was made in Australia and has never been a New Zealand brand. It's an Australian brand. Brutal. Unacceptable. Should be illegal. And we're named after that. What about Aroha? Aroha. That brand. They're allowed to have Kiwi over in Australia. It's bullshit. So then you get your nugget. You scrub it on there. Scrub it on there. And then you get another cloth and that's what gives it the shine. So it's a real multi-step process. And then they brought out the instant shine, didn't they? Yes. Where you could just essentially paint. Brush it on.
8:03Keyzie:Paint it on. Paint your shoes. That's what I remember doing. Did you, at yours, because like at my boarding school, we had a boot room. Yes. We had a boot room at boarding school. Where you kept all your boots and shoes. You had a booty room. Yeah. Had room in his booty. For a D.
8:21Fellas? Pugs.
8:23Keyzie:Pugs, flag that last one. Clip that one off instead, man. We're going to have to do a disclaimer for this one. I'll have a carry on. You had a boot room. Well, no, I'll tell you what we used to do in the boot room. I don't want to know. I don't want to know. I do not want to know. It was where we used to have durries. Oh. Quite often have a durry in the boot room. The only problem with the boot room when you had a durry was because it was. It retains the stench. Yeah, it was quite a small room. Yeah. And it was like. It was really hard to say that you haven't been smoking a dart when a teacher comes in.
8:50Keyzie:If a teacher walks in, you're fucked. Yeah. What a smell of toe jam and durries. No, not just durries, but then it was behind the cricket nets and then it was up on the mountain that we ended up doing the durries. Oh, I've got Derry Mountain. And cleaning our boots.
9:03Mike Minogue:On Derry Mountain. Mm. So nothing ever happened in the boot room? Oh, I'm sure Is that why you're smoking Darrys? Postcoital

We've got, we brought so much food back, I told you right, from that weekend away. So I've got to, I've got to try to work my way through it. I've got to roast chicken in my bag. Not a whole one, but plenty. A whole chick. A whole chicken. It's still alive. It's not even roasted. I lied about that part. It's a chicken. I've got a chicken in my bag. And they gave it to you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I brought home a chicken. And it's been in your satchel all day. Yeah. Fucking hell, it's crazy.
9:59Even for two people, a whole chicken's a lot of food. Yeah. I agree. You could still some of it. It was an insane amount of food. Yeah. Insane. Especially when you're not telling people that you're providing breakfast and lunch. So you take breakfast and lunch. Yes. Yeah. Anyway, outside of that, shit. Yeah.
10:17Keyzie:Don't go. You'd hate it. Did you have, when you went glamorous camping, Kesey. Yeah. As you like to call it. Did you have heaps of food or were you too busy? You know.
10:29Mike Minogue:Both. Oh, yeah. Yeah, doing jigsaws. Heaps of food was great. But they didn't give us a chicken or anything, no. Was it the same place? No. No, no. Keezy was here. Yeah, I wrote Keezy was here on the roof. On the visitor's book. I carved it into the thing.
10:43Keyzie:I was going to say, in jazz.
