0:14Keyzie:Backbone. Yeah. G'day, fellas. G'day, fellas. Hi, man. How you going? Are you all good? Real good, man. Real good. Yeah, good. Yeah, good stuff. I'm happy it's Thursday. I thought it was Wednesday this morning. So did I. I thought it was Wednesday all day. I was shocked by a Thursday. And my wife was like, no, no, it's bloody Thursday, man. You've gained a day there, Kezzy. Look at that. Day older or day older. I've been doing that the last couple of weeks. This week, it's not the case. And I fucking hate a Thursday. Thursday is my hump day. Because it's nearly Friday, but it's not Friday. And it's just been a prick, isn't it?

0:45Because everyone else likes a Thursday.

0:47Keyzie:And I was actually surprised because my wife walked with me to work today because she was going to the supermarket. And I said, oh, I hate Thursdays. What did she say? She said, oh, that's your hump day, isn't it? And I said, how did you know that? And then what did she say? She says, I heard you say it on the radio. So that means it's not true because you've never mentioned it to her at home. No, I haven't because we don't, you know. That seems unlikely.

1:12Mike Minogue:You've never been scraping the barrel like that for content at home? Yeah, that's right.

1:16Keyzie:Probably. I often scrape. Weird thing happened to me today as I was walking in. Here we go. There was a home. Well, I'm making an assumption here that he was homeless.

1:28Mike Minogue:An unhoused gentleman.

1:30Keyzie:An unhoused gentleman looking a bit worse for wear, sitting, you know, by a – Through a mirror. By a – I'm looking good, man. Okay, just keep on track. You got that jersey on again. I am looking good. You are, man. I am tight. Wish the story was a bit tighter. Keep on track. But he was sitting up against this, you know, place. And sitting on the ground. Sitting on the ground just on the pavement. and he sort of waved at me and I sort of waved. I had my headphones on and he said something to me and there was a smiling, beaming smile there. And so I stopped and I said, sorry, what was that, mate?

2:07Keyzie:And he'd go, how's Lee going, man? Oh, really? Yeah, and I was like, Lee? And he went, yeah, Lee Hart, how's he going? You just think that they've got no knowledge of what goes on in the world, don't you? And I went, oh, good, I think, man. I don't think he's doing okay. And he went, oh, great, great to hear that. and they mentioned something else about Lee and some association that we had, but it was very odd. I didn't expect that conversation to happen.

2:32Mike Minogue:Did he ask how you were, man? No, he didn't. He could tell looking at you. You're looking good.

2:36Keyzie:As I walked off, he said, looking tight, man, looking tight. Yeah, did he? Is that where you got your catchphrase from? Fuck yeah.

2:43Mike Minogue:Oh, that's great, man. That's good stuff. Hey, fellas, I just want to plug that Keezy's on TVNZ. Yeah. We've got podcasts on TVNZ. This is my little bit of work. That took 18 months, Keezy. It did, actually. Yeah, there was a lot of chat behind the scenes, wasn't there? A lot of chat. Organising. A lot of organising. Keezy's podcast, Extremely Casual Gamers, is on TVNZ+. Wow. So it's a TV show, Jase. It's a TV show. Fantastic, man. So I'm just going to come in and rate every episode every day on here on what's on telly. That's such a good idea. Yeah, cool. New episode's out on Friday. Five other podcasts, Between Two Bears.

3:15How long? Party Science. You'd love that one, Jase. Yeah. You're a mad bastard.

3:18Keyzie:How long do you think before it gets canned? Never. Or you get replaced? On my podcast?

3:25Mike Minogue:Yeah, yeah. It's funny, actually, because one of my co-hosts, Guy, I swear he's super worried we're going to, like, replace him. Right. You're literally one of my best friends. Yeah. The whole reason I'm doing this is to hang out with my mates. Yeah. And he's, like, worried that, like, oh, because Pugs might come in and fill in and Pugs is really good. Oh, that's true. Do you know what I mean? He's like, fuck, man.

3:42Keyzie:Is that why we do this podcast, Keezy? This podcast? Because we're such great mates. I think it's to kill 10 minutes before the show, isn't it?

3:49Mike Minogue:It's a good warm-up. This is great because I used to love listening to Matt and Jerry just shooting the shit. Yeah. But also it actually gets your brain into chat mode, which I quite like. No, it does. It's good to warm up. No, he's got 45 episodes he'll be doing, Jase. Wow. 45 episodes. That's great. Every week.

4:05Keyzie:Well, as you know, I love that podcast.

4:07Mike Minogue:I actually think, Jase, if you listened to it. I do listen. What do you mean if I listen to it, man? What's the name of the other host on the show? Guy. Yeah, the female. I know you're going to struggle with this. I'm terrible with names. Why are you closing your eyes? You've never seen her before. Because I'm just trying to remember her name. Why have you got a grin on your face?

4:25Keyzie:Because I'm just trying to remember her name. Sorry, it's just escaped me. It'll come to me during the show. Will it?

4:30Mike Minogue:Yeah. Come on, man.

4:32Keyzie:No, but that's great, man. Good stuff.

4:34Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show. Weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. The Hauraki Big Show podcast. Do you actually, do you want to know something? Not really. I almost had to text you today and cancel golf. but i didn't you can if you want no no no because i have to and let's see this is an interesting thing about my wife because i'm playing just for the listeners i'm playing a tournament a golf tournament with her father in three weeks time so i'm gonna be away one friday actually and she's so worried that i haven't played any golf that she's like you need to go and play golf and so tomorrow there's actually something we need to do desperately on our house and i was like oh i suppose i could do it tomorrow and just cancel golf and she's like oh no no no don't do that And I was like, okay, I won't then.

5:16Mike Minogue:Yeah. You know what I mean? How good. It is great.

5:19Keyzie:I mean, if you want to cancel, you can. Don't feel pressure, man.

5:23Mike Minogue:What do you mean? All you've done is pressure me the last two months.

5:25Keyzie:I have not. Yes, you have. Because you've been so super sensitive. But anyway, my wife doesn't work on a Friday, so we could just hang out, make love and stuff, if it's really bugging you.

5:40Mike Minogue:Well, it's up to you. Why don't you bring her?

5:44Keyzie:To golf.

5:45Mike Minogue:yeah

5:46Keyzie:why are you bringing a girl okay actually we were gonna do that she was gonna come for a walk with me one day just said she said to me would it be alright if I just walk with you and I went yeah I guess it would be she could come with us nah man I don't want her to see you effing and jeffing all over the place but yeah

6:03Mike Minogue:good stuff nah my thing is I have to be way more relaxed going into this tournament otherwise I'll just fucking shit the bed are you in a tournament yeah oh that one down south yeah yeah yeah can't wait it's gonna be so exciting It's good stuff, fellas. Yeah. You are looking sharp, man. Thanks, man. Appreciate it. You've been making an effort lately. No, just today. Come on, man. I needed something warmer because I come in. Well, you had something on new yesterday as well. Oh, a new T-shirt. Yeah. Yeah, that's right. Have you got a completely new wardrobe? You've seen all of this before. Yeah.

6:33Is that a new shirt, though? No, it's the same one you've seen. I mean, it is new in the sense that it's not, you know, as old as that one that you're wearing. Yeah, well, this is just my old wear around. It's almost like your uniform, though, because you wear it every day. It's like you're back at school.

6:50Keyzie:I'll tell you why I do, because it's very comfortable and it's very warm. Oh, yeah, no, it looks comfortable. It's like a boyfriend jumper. And it keeps my buzies tight. You know what I mean? It's like a training bra. Wear a bra. It gives me, like, my man cleavage. And that's what you want. You can't see cleavage. Yeah, well, that's because I've got the zip up. If I unzipped this, my buzies would pour out. Explode.

7:15Mike Minogue:They would absolutely pour out. It's funny. I was going over the email this morning from Women's Day ahead of my shoot this weekend, and they're like, you know, there's certain things, certain colours don't photograph well. Everything I own. It's like, don't wear black. And I'm like, cool, I don't have anything that's not black. What about that blue jacket and that white shirt? But all my pants are black. I don't have pastel chinos or anything. Right. So now my wife and I, tomorrow night after the show, are going shopping. Yeah, and you'll be the guy wearing new pants. I'll be new pants guy. And you've told us now and so.

7:52Mike Minogue:It's going to be like, oh, look at Keezy. His ears are on the pants and he's got new pants. Oh, new pants Keezy, yeah.

7:57Keyzie:And you're going to be wearing loafers with no socks. No, no, no, no. I can't wait for this article to come out. It's going to be an absolute doozy.

8:06Mike Minogue:It's so tough too because they've obviously had a look at my Instagram or whatever and they've gone, oh, you're a bit of a gamer. So maybe some shots of you and your wife playing PlayStation on the couch. And my wife read that and was like, absolutely fucking not. Well, it's a huge opportunity for you to plug the fact that you're on TVNZ Plus now, Kesar. You'll be loving it. Yeah, except for I'm on there to promote the fact that I'm on a TV3 show. Oh, yeah. That's no good. No. Is that on 3? Yeah. Oh, wow. Free to air. I'm on everything now, man. That's true. TV's everywhere, bro.

8:34Keyzie:I tell you what, my bank account's looking bloody good as a result of that. Jase, remember we did? Remember, you're not my agent anymore. Yeah, but I still, I don't know if you read your contract, Keezy, I still get a cut of whatever you get. When did you do that improv? What? No, you were here. Was I? Yeah, yeah. Is it all over? Yeah, with me. How did you take it? Me getting rid of Keezy. Oh, you got rid of Keezy. No, I got rid of him. Fucking hell. I can't actually fucking remember. But there's a stand-down period of 18 months, and so anything you earn in that time, I still got a cut off. I don't remember that at all.

9:09Mike Minogue:I swear you were here. Yeah, he was here, wasn't it? Yeah. So which was it? You got rid of him or he got rid of you? I think what happened is I came in, and I could be wrong. I came in saying, I think it's time for me to change agents. And he got rid of you. And then he was thinking of sacking me anyway. Yeah, right. So that way he still was like, yeah, the big dog. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Good stuff. Douche, douche. Douche, douche. Do you want to be my agent again now that I'm in this content? Yeah.

9:32Keyzie:Well, no, I don't need to be because, as I say, you've got an 18-month stand-down period. So I still get whatever I was going to get even though I'm not your agent anymore.

9:40Mike Minogue:Right, so you don't want to do that as content? Well, I could do that. It's up to you. It's up to you. Trying to get some content down. No, I don't need to. That sounds like a real thing. Is that a real thing? Agents would put in like a six-month? There is a three-month stand-down, I think. Some agents do. We don't, Keezy. Right. So if you want to go, because it's quite weird that some do. and so you have to stay so it's like if you want to break up with your missus and she goes yeah well good but you have to stay living with me for three months it's like if you don't want to be with the person just fucking leave them alone it's ridiculous because I know a friend of mine actually had a lot of trouble trying to leave an agent and they fucking freaked out and were like well you're never going to get work in the industry and all this sort of shit and then they left anyway and then it was fine and then they actually came back and were like hey is it all good if we still find the odd social thing for you or whatever yeah right that was funny pretty crazy isn't it it is Hey, listen to the big show, 4-7.

10:34Mike Minogue:Do you do that, James, with your agency? Weekdays, Radio Haraki. Yeah. 18 months. Oh, yeah, good on you, mate.
