In short

The hosts chat about “final Euro prep” while swapping personal updates: a near-fire from a leaking truck fuel line, stressful days and mindset, moving house logistics, sleep schedule changes, and anxiety about airplane toilets; they also joke about “live shat chat” from economy and travel meds.

Guests

No named guests appear; it’s a casual roundtable with the three hosts (Jason, Mergie/Mo’gi, and Keezy/Kesey).

Key claims

Jason’s truck was “pissing out fuel” under the engine and he used a fire extinguisher; the petrol evaporated after shutting off. Mo’gi says his triggers worsen everything. They claim coffee reliably prompts bowel movements.

Notable examples

Dolphins beat Cowboys; exit-row seating reduces toilet anxiety; melatonin and diazepam are discussed; Jason says he helped a homeless person.

0:00For all you mad bastards loving the picture podcast, get up even closer on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok or 4 to 7 every weekday. We don't know. We just don't know. That's the thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Come on, Jason. How are you doing today, brother? Good things, fellas. How are you going?

0:21Mike Minogue:I was fucking excellent. Yes. Until I almost died. Oh, yeah. Seriously.

0:27Keyzie:How did you almost die?

0:28Mike Minogue:See my truck in the old car park today? I did see that there. Yeah, that's going to be there for three weeks.

0:33Keyzie:Right, okay. Yeah, because - It's annoying because that's where I usually fucking park. No, it isn't.

0:39Mike Minogue:I've literally never seen you park there ever. But it's going to be there for the next three weeks while I'm on holiday because as I pulled in - Is it a hip hop holiday? It is, Muggie. As I pulled in, I could smell petrol. I was like, what the - And then as I - I was like, that must be coming from my truck. I thought you might have just gone past something that was - Anyway, went down, parked up, hopped out, truck still running, looked underneath, it was pissing out fuel right below the engine. And I've had this before, and my old car, which was an old Holden Commodore, caught on fire and almost blew up.

1:09Mike Minogue:And so I was like, shit, turned off the truck, grabbed my fire extinguisher, which I've got, mounted in the cab, fellas. How good, man, how good? Because you know it's a heap of shit. Because if it touches the exhaust. It's hot. It's baboon. Yeah. so and now I called my dad and I was like it's coming out of the rear of the engine and tears and tears and I was like it's not the same setup as the Holden right where I just need I can like replace this thing and like adjust it and it'll be fine he's like nah yeah something's fucked out completely there so it'll just have to stay there for three weeks and then when you get back we'll sort it I was like what would be great is if you've got him you know you send him your swipey Yeah.

1:49And then he comes up here and he just sorts it out.

1:52Mike Minogue:Do you know what he said? He's like, I could, isn't it an annoying spot? Because I could come up with my trailer and I was like, no. How good is that? No, no. He can stay with me if he wants. Yeah, yeah. I mean, my house is empty and he could stay there.

2:07Keyzie:Yeah, but he wants a bit of company though. Yeah, he loves a bit of company. He could fix up my deck while he was there.

2:12Mike Minogue:Can you stop getting my dad to do jobs for you?

2:15Keyzie:Well, it's really funny you should say that, Kesey, about your truck, because I got out of my car when I parked. He looked at it. He thought, shit, it looks pale. And I could smell petrol really strongly, and I put petrol in when I came in today, and I went, $20. Fuck,$50. Fuck, did I not put the cap back on or something, because it was that strong. Yes. But now it makes sense. That's my truck. Are you parked near it? Yeah, not far. Well, a little bit, because it was fucking full today. Just another thing that fucked me off. But I did genuinely smell. I was like, what the hell is that?

2:48Mike Minogue:And you walked in five minutes after I did. Right. So I had been there because I got here early, turned it off and just sat with my truck for 15 minutes holding my fire extinguisher like. Cradling it. Just because I was just like, imagine it's under Sky City right now. It could blow up the whole freaking building. And I was like, what am I going to? And then it was totally fine. The petrol completely evaporated, disconnected the battery and stuff. And I was just like, sweet. I could touch the exhaust and it had cooled down enough. So I was like, okay, so nothing's going to happen. But yeah, I was just like, holy shit.

3:21There's a whole bunch of fire trucks up there at the moment.

3:24Mike Minogue:You know what's funny is like, I just went for a walk to get my hair cut and I'm still like glancing up. Looking for the black smoke. Yeah, I'd be so devastated. Fuck, I'd be devastated. Yeah.

3:35Keyzie:Yeah, well, I'll be very careful when I go back to get my car tonight then. What do you mean? Well, I just know that there could be an explosive device in the car park. Not far from my car.

3:44Mike Minogue:When you're having a durry, just flick it out the window near my truck.

3:47Keyzie:That'll be the goer.

3:48Mike Minogue:Although, yeah, the fuel's probably evaporated by now. But, yeah, shit, that was frightening.

3:52Keyzie:Yeah, it's pretty scary, man. Tell us about your day, Jase, man. It's been so good, Mergie. Can you take us from when you wake up? No.

3:58Mike Minogue:Because you said another thing that's fucked me off. Yeah, yeah. So what else has happened? I think it's a listening of...

4:02Keyzie:I have had one of those days that has been massively triggering to me. Right. Just fucking everything. And as I've said before, and I know it to be true, that when I get into that mindset, everything turns to shit.

4:17Mike Minogue:Right.

4:17Keyzie:Because I'm creating that world for myself.

4:19Mike Minogue:Yeah, you're taking a negative energy everywhere.

4:21Keyzie:And it just fucking was just one of those days. I was doing a lot of effing and jeffing. And things that should have been very straightforward became very complicated. Yes. You know, just stupid, stupid shit. And again, I just had to give myself a good swift uppercut and say, pull yourself together, you fuck. But you haven't done it yet. Well, I have been, believe me.

4:46Mike Minogue:So what about like before?

4:47Keyzie:You know, I just wanted, someone said, I might even be new, Mogi. Let's just go to the pub and get fucking steamed and have some durries. Fuck, I'd have loved to have done that today. You know?

4:58Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. The Hauraki Big Show podcast. But like what's the stuff that's triggered you? Is it before when you came in and your headphones didn't work so then you went and got the adapter then I came in and was like, oh no, there's an adapter right here.

5:15Keyzie:No, no, that's just the, that's just, that's par for the course on a day like this. That's cheery. But you know, it's private, man. I'll survive. I reckon you're a little bit. I think it's upset that Keezy's leaving. Oh, well, you know, I'm a golf partner, man. Yeah. Mogi will play with you. Pugs will play with you. Well, Pugs, Mogi's fucking off on me as well. I am. So we had a great meeting about Pugs and I doing the show. Did you? And looking forward to that, actually. It'll be good.

5:43Mike Minogue:Who was it, you and the manager? I've got a bad feeling about that show. What was it? Ordy Jizz and Spoon Boy. Yeah, Spoon Boy and the Jizz.

5:54Keyzie:Spoon Boy and the Jizz.

5:56Mike Minogue:That's definitely a Mogey nickname, that one. Yes. It's a goodie, though. It's got a good ring to it. I reckon it's got a great ring to it.

6:02Keyzie:But, yeah, no, I'm sort of mapping the time ahead and going, okay. It's going to be challenging, but let's just get it done. It doesn't have to. It could be so easy. But that's already been bombarded, Keezy. I can't do the Keezy on it. Why not? Because I've already been told that's a no-go.

6:19Mike Minogue:Doing the Keezy on it is sweet as, man. Well, I'd love to do the Keezy on it. No one even knows what that means. But anyway, it'll be fine. It'll fly, man. How was your day, Moji? It'll fly. You've heard about our days. Yeah, good. I've confirmed I'm moving into the new house. Yeah, nice. I've booked the truck move in a lot of furniture tomorrow get that in there and yeah just trying to get shit done I feel like I'm getting on top of it actually wow yeah so you don't feel like you're sinking and drowning and stuff nah that's good nah not at all nah I could do with a bed of sleep that's for sure it's up at oh I know 5.30 was pretty good today pretty good today bit of a sleep in for old boogie do you know what I did last night yeah jacked it absolutely Stayed up till 1.30 in the morning.

7:10Mike Minogue:Drank the rest of the craft beers that I had in my fridge. Oh, good. Five of them. Watched NRL and then watched a few videos. Who won? The Dolphins beat the Cowboys. No defense, just high scoring. Great. It was good. It was entertaining. You stayed up till 1.30 and then just had a mean sleep through to 9 because I'm slowly trying to shift my sleep schedule now. Yes. Tell you what, shifting my bathroom schedule is not happening. I've never even heard of anyone trying it so I wouldn't bother your body's going to take care of that for you when you need to do poos you'll do poos no I know it's about not doing poos when I'm in that changeover that's what I'm trying to avoid and I was like on the plane you mean on the plane or in transit in Singapore I don't want to be doing poos anywhere like that I want to wait till I'm I want to be mate there's bigger things to worry about no totally but this is something that I was trying to avoid isn't it funny

7:59Keyzie:the things we fixate on yeah I mean doing poos in a toilet in the airport

8:03Mike Minogue:I'm so regular. How about this? Yesterday, I didn't even do poos all day. Well done. I woke up, didn't do poos in the morning. I was like, great. See that? You're fucking your body, man. And then went into the toilet in the evening. It was like, time to do it. Nothing.

8:14Keyzie:But the problem that -

8:15Mike Minogue:What's that about?

8:16Keyzie:You're creating for yourself is you're, at some stage in your travels now, creating a potential kamikaze steamer that's built up over days. Yeah, a Shanghai. A Shanghai, a Keezy Shanghai special. Right. Yeah, that's right. And I think your bowel movements, they're dictated to by when you eat. They are. And so unless you're going to eat when you're asleep to make it that you're pooing on the opposite side of the world, I think you're fucking dreaming.

8:45Mike Minogue:I also think my body knows that after not eating for eight hours, it needs to go toilet. And so I think waking up in the middle of the night and eating is the answer. For me, it's very, very simple.

8:57Keyzie:I have a coffee. I do poos. Right. And back in the day, it was, I'll have a coffee and a fag and do poos. But now I just have a coffee and do poos. Yeah, right, yeah.

9:07Mike Minogue:See, yeah, and I'm pretty regular too. But it's just been an interesting thing. I was genuinely trying to change. I just couldn't. Yeah, man. Well, we're going to find out. Can you send us a talkback on that? Yeah. Just let us know how it's going. Yeah. I wonder if there's any way that you could record that on the plane. Yeah, maybe. If you could live shit chat us. Shat Chat. We have live Shat Chat coming to you from Air New Zealand's economy class. Oh, no. Yeah, economy class. Shitter. G'day, guys. Yeah, the time is... I'm 35 ,000 feet in the air. I'm giving it death. I'm giving it absolute death.

9:45Mike Minogue:Nothing's happening. I don't know what's going on. I'm worried this is kamikaze. Actually, you're sitting in your seat. You'd be doing this with you because you don't want to go to the toilet.

9:52Keyzie:Are you on the window or aisle?

9:56Mike Minogue:We are exit row. so only two of us it's an exit row window and there's only two seats whereas everyone else has three right okay so we managed to change that that's nice which is great so we don't have any like you don't want to sit window and have to go through and have to go through someone I used to get anxiety

10:14Keyzie:about that on planes if I was on the window and there were two people I didn't know next to me that's right and I'd be like because I used to be a prolific weir because of my anxiety you'd be like so I'd be sitting there just straining squeezing my mess of cock so that I didn't squirt urine everywhere. Oh, that's graphic.

10:33Mike Minogue:That is so graphic.

10:34Keyzie:What's the plan tonight, Keezy? Are you going to start getting on it early once you get to the lounge there? Have a few beersies, a few wines?

10:41Mike Minogue:Yes, I'm going to hit the lounge, load up on wines and beersies, have dinner, have dessert, hop on the plane, probably have another dinner, just because they serve you food straight away. Have some more beersies, have a melatonin, hopefully go to sleep. Yeah, that reminds me, actually. Thanks, Keezy, man. Got to get some sleeping pills delivered. Some high grade pharmaceuticals. That's so cool man. I've got some By the way I don't have access to the end of potty music because we're in a different studio. I would have fired it off by now.

11:12Keyzie:I've got some diazepam. What do they do? They chill you the fuck out. Aren't they for like if you're anxious and stuff? But I just get too nervous about taking them. Oh right. Yeah I'll have them then if you're not using it. Nah. Just joking, guys. I only get your drugs from me. What did you do with your trammies? They were at home. What's your address again? Do you need me to check your house when you're away and stuff? Yeah, because you're scared of Dias of Panamia.

11:39Mike Minogue:You're going to go hit my trammies up. Come on, man.

11:42Keyzie:But no, do you want me to do circuits of your property and stuff, Keezy, while you're away?

11:46Mike Minogue:No, thanks, Jase. Actually, one thing you could do, and I'm dead serious. Dead serious. Drop me off tonight at home. Would you do that?

11:57Nah, you don't have to. It'll be a ball lake. It'll be traffic. It'll be a ball lake. What an arsehole, Jase. That's shocking for you.

12:03Keyzie:I can if you want me to, Keeson. Well, you should want to. Well, I don't want to. That's right. He'll get an Uber. Yeah, I'll get an Uber. No, I'll give you a lift home.

12:14Mike Minogue:No, but I don't want you to sit in traffic and then effing Jeff about it. Fucking hell. When's the last time you did something nice for someone, Jase? Like that?

12:25Keyzie:today oh yeah what was it I helped a homeless oh did you reach a climax that doesn't count yeah I gave him a hand job that was as much for you as it was for her the old homeless

12:39Mike Minogue:hand shandy hey thanks for listening to the podcast by the way
