Transcript
Automatic transcript. May contain errors.0:00Mike Minogue:How are you? Her River Mood vibes off Jase, by the way. Oh, are you kidding me? You guys ready to go? Yes. God, see? For all you mad bastards loving the Big Show podcast, get up even closer on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. Or Raw Dog. Four to seven every weekday on Radio Hoda. What he jizz, Raw Dog, they used to call him back in the day. Yeah, man. Why's that? None of your beeswax, Keezy.
0:30Keyzie:How are the girls, by the way? It's funny you should talk about the girls because I'm having a chat with two of them at the moment. Are you? I'm not one of your girls. No, you're not one of my girls. One of them has access to my card and the other doesn't. And the other's going, why don't I have access to your card?
0:50Mike Minogue:And you're going, why does the other one have access to my card?
0:53Keyzie:How did she get access? Yeah, why has she got access? Do you remember when there was all those Uber chargers that were being going on in your cracker. And you couldn't work it out, eh? Who could it be? No, I'm not going to go here, actually. I want to stop this conversation. I think it was probably, did it end up being user era for old Hoody J? No. Because remember, he thought he'd been hacked
1:14Mike Minogue:and someone in Amsterdam was using his Uber account. But no, it comes up as Uber Amsterdam. It shows in Amsterdam, yeah.
1:19Keyzie:Let's just say that my wife is a very charitable person. Right.
1:25Mike Minogue:Ah, okay, I see. Let's just say that. Do you want to delve deeper into that?
1:28Keyzie:Not really, but suffice to say she's very generous. Good on her. That's good to know, actually. Good on her. Yes, very generous indeed. The 40 Jo's hard-earned money. So I go, what the fuck is blah, blah, blah? And she'll go, oh, yes, I signed up for that. So it's a monthly thing. Right.
1:49Mike Minogue:And I'm like, fucking that much a month? Like stuff outside the supermarket, you know, people with lanyards and clipboards outside the supermarket. Or sort of more along the lines of your chair yoga, et cetera.
2:01Keyzie:No, more along the lines of your sort of international charities. Yeah, that's what he's talking about. Right, okay.
2:07Mike Minogue:So between her doing that and then you – don't throw shit, man. He's in a real weird bratty mood as well. Is it because of the promo meeting that you're in a her-over movie?
2:16Keyzie:No, I'm not in a her-over movie. It's just you and Pugs and Isaac just banging on. Are you kidding me? Well, yeah. It was your fault. For the people that don't know, every week we have a promotions meeting. So all the sort of the little ads and things we run.
2:31Mike Minogue:Yeah, like campaigns and competitions. Yeah, that's right. We don't just get to bring this to you for free. It's got to be, you know, this shit's got to be paid for, man. So you pay for it with six songs from Tom Petty and the Chillies and some ads. And for those of you who are listening today, you would have heard some Diamonds on Richmond chat. Yeah. And so we were discussing that, weren't we, Jase? but was just trying to wrap our heads around it because it was a little bit convoluted. Yes. Before we go and talk about it on the radio with full confidence. Yeah, well, this is before we've done the radio.
3:04That's right.
3:04Keyzie:Can I just qualify that I'm not talking about the meeting. The meeting was fine. And I think you'll find I was very engaged in that meeting. Well, look, can I give you credit where credit's due? Because we had about five different things to talk about, the different sponsorships. We're doing well, fellas. High five. Yeah. Slappo. Yeah, nice, fellas. But you wanted to make sure you got it right. Thank you. And that's a tip of the cap to your professionalism there, just very well done. Thanks, Maggie. What I was referring to is when I arrived, I'm talking pre-meeting, and Pugs and Keezy and Isaac were banging on about the movie they watched last night.
3:42Keyzie:Oh, were they? And it was just, it just went on and on. Oh, what about her name? Oh, I'll tell you who I really liked. He was really cool. Her name was Jungle Pussy. Don't spoil it for me, Kezi. You know I'm going to this movie, but that's a good name. I want to be surprised by that name when I go to the movie. So that's not the meeting at all. No, that's what I'm saying. You don't like the people you work with.
4:05Mike Minogue:And by the way, he came in 10 minutes early and we were just chatting. And I wasn't even here yet, so he couldn't have the meeting.
4:10Keyzie:Can I liken it to while you were away, Mogi, and Pugs was in the studio here, bloody gamer chat. We did it once. It's banging on every break, every single break. Yeah, man, I know what you mean. Gamer chat. Oh, no, but you've got to get extra strong tendons.
4:27Mike Minogue:Reinforced tendons. Reinforced tendons. Cyberpunk 2077. Yeah, it changes the way you play, I bet. Oh, it does, guys. Because you can jump double the height. Oh, that's the thing. Yeah. Do you know I saw a robot, and sorry, this is just like this gaming shit has just reminded me of that. This guy over in China, they've got a robot, robots that you can hire at the bottom of this temple or whatever and it's got heaps of stairs so you can jump into this robot which has got steel legs. Yeah I've seen that. You've seen that?
4:56Keyzie:Yeah. And you climb up. It walks for you. Right. It can also run for you and the guy's just like I am just trying to run but it's doing all the running for me. I'm making no effort. It's pretty fucking awesome. And it means that eventually you won't even need your body. Yeah that's where we're sort of heading towards. Yeah we're just going to be a brain on a stick. Not good for the prostate.
5:15Mike Minogue:Have you guys seen Wally Wally no because that's the movie cartoon yeah oh no
5:21Keyzie:it's going to be more movie chat
5:22Mike Minogue:hang on please so in that movie all the humans literally just float around on little seats and a giant and just like yeah right don't do anything or have to because of basically technology that's what it is that's where we're going and the world is completely screwed and Wally's been sent back to the world to like help tidy up or like rebuild or something yes on his own
5:52I sort of notice these things as I've gotten older I've got little markers in my life Where I've noticed them and they're a bit annoying Or you see things and you're like Fuck do we need that? AI is that for me Well for me it's One of the first ones was having Keyless entries in your key For your car Yeah. So you can't even be bothered turning the key. So now we've got 8 billion batteries now that have to get buried in the earth somewhere every single year. So that's two or three of those years, sweet as. So that was one of them. And then the new one they've got is the button on your boot. To close it.
6:29To close it and open it, and a remote on your, a button on your remote so it opens automatically because God forbid.
6:36Keyzie:You have to do that, yeah. And then, but this is the thing. I was borrowing my cousin's car and I was like, this is a fucking joke. Well, now I can't live without it. What? The boot thing? The boot. Really? It's really handy. And I was fucking hating it. And it's really handy when you've got arms full of shit. I ripped that out of my car. So I have to do it manually. The boot. You know, the bleep, bleep. I went, no, too lazy. You ripped it out?
6:58Mike Minogue:Yeah. Or did the guy who was doing your warrant and service rip it out by accident? No.
7:04Keyzie:The actual truth is the battery ran out and I'd be fucked if I can put a new one in. Yeah. It's so, I mean, the funny thing was, because I went, oh, my God, I am such a massive der-brain. But I took it to the mechanic and he went, oh, yeah, no, I'll have to go online and figure out how to do this. What is it? I don't know. It's just a battery that you put in your ignition, in your key chain. The fob.
7:30Mike Minogue:Yeah, I know how to do that. I told you I'd do that for you and you said you were going to give it to me. Do you have it right now? I just did that the other day. But I imagine yours is more high-tech than mine. Yeah, probably. You literally take the key out, open where the key just came out, jam it in there and twist it and the whole thing pops. You see what I'm saying? Is it you're talking about your Mazda key? Yeah. And you gave it to a mechanic who's now got to Google it. It will charge you labour for that.
7:54Keyzie:No, this was about six months ago. Six months. So that's when you do it. But anyway, but yeah, I'm going through this weird thing now and I don't know if it's anxiety induced. Jacking it in public. But I don't think it is anxiety-induced because I always have anxiety. We don't know. I'm neither here nor there on that front.
8:14Mike Minogue:Have you tried not jacking it in public?
8:16Keyzie:I find myself now having to move all the time. Oh, yeah. And I am fucking. What do you mean move? Well, like, you know, walk. Active relaxing. Active relaxing. I've always been an active relaxer, but I've never been good at sitting for a long period of time anyway. No. But now I'm going, okay, I'm going to harness that. Or I get up. Are you going to harness it? By walking for fucking miles.
8:44Mike Minogue:By jacking it in public.
8:45Keyzie:And jacking it in public. Is that harnessing it? Yeah, well, I think so. That's not harnessing it? It's really good because I just have an urge to walk and I do it. Well, so it's just moving in general. It's not like you could go out and you could, you know, try and fix something in your house and fuck it or whatever. No. No, but having said that, and now, you know, because I'm on a mish. I'm spending hours in the garden, which I never did, hacking away at shit. Oh, pulling up your stumps. Stumps. Did I tell you that our neighbour, he was watching us meet Effin and Jeffin trying to get a stump out?
9:16Keyzie:Because they're fucking... I love that there's... I don't know if... Is this an international term, the Effin and Jeffin? Where did that come from? I think so. Yeah. But I love that there is a term for it. Yes. Because, you know, they're fucking deep in the ground. Oh, they do, man. They're in there like roots. What, stumps? And I was chatting to him. Our neighbour came over and he said, oh, what you doing there, fellas? What's his name? It's just Chris. Oh, yeah. And he goes, oh, I've got something that'll help you there if you want to get the stumps out. And it's this massively heavy, really long metal bar.
9:53Keyzie:Oh, yeah, I know the ones. With like a chiselled end and a pointed end, and you just shove it in the earth by the stump and then start levering. Yeah.
10:01Mike Minogue:Great. I like that.
10:02Keyzie:It is as heavy as fuck. About 15 kilos. It's actually quite small too. Massively, massively effective. It's about the size of a toothpick, but Jase for Jase is like huge. What were you pulling out? Daisy. For frail old hoity J. I got a real sweat on, man. He had a shocker, man. He was doing that. He got out some daisies and then he went for a ride on a bumblebee. Fun. Totally, man. But it's great. I think. I hate Daisy Stumps. I'm fitter now than when I was in my 30s. Yeah, right. Probably. Yeah, well, you're not as pissed. Oh, that as well. Yeah, that helps.
10:41Mike Minogue:Where'd you go on the bumblebee?
10:45Keyzie:I just went, you know, wherever it took me, Keesy. Just around the garden? Yeah, just flew around. You're holding on for dear life. And then it smacked into the window and I fell off. That's what he did with his four days off. He was trying to find his way home. Yeah, just holding on for death. It's like the dragons in Game of Thrones, trying to ride a dragon.

11:04Mike Minogue:But you were riding a bumblebee.
11:05Keyzie:But I was riding a bumblebee.
11:07Mike Minogue:I love the image of Jace riding a bumblebee. It's really good. Can we AI that? That'd be great. Can you do that, can you, Pugs?
11:16Keyzie:He's just a big... Oh, that's good stuff. He's got a... Whatever he can do today to get back at me about him wanking on about movies. Oh, yeah. Well, I don't want to... He's got to have a real go. I don't know what to do about that because I don't want to get... We're not going to spoil it. Okay, good. I'm going to go to a, what's happening, probably this weekend.
11:31Mike Minogue:I'm going to talk about my experience of watching a movie, having not seen the trailer or knowing anything about it. Right. Yeah, good. But I'm very conscious of the fact that both of you guys are probably going to watch it in the next week or so. Yes. Very excited. I've got the Smashing Machine tonight. You know about that one? Dwayne Johnson. That's pretty good. It's going for an Academy Award. It does look good. It looks really good. Yeah, I like Emily Blunt. Go for the Academy Award. I like Emily Blunt. Emily Blunt is... She is fantastic. She is a great actor. She is next. Far out, tell you what.
12:03I'll tell you what, I love watching her. I'd love to act with her. And who was the other person you mentioned? Huh? Who was the other person in it? Dwayne Johnson. Hate him. If I had the opportunity to act with... Emily Blunt. I was going to say The Rock, but what were you going to say? What?
12:16Mike Minogue:So let's just say your wife was going to act with you or Emily Blunt. Who would you choose?
12:20Keyzie:Emily Blunt is just... She's a hell of a... She is next level. Can I also say there, though, Jase, have you seen the sequel to Get Shorty? What's that called? Get Shorty 2? Yeah, something along those lines, probably. But The Rock's in it. It's his first acting performance, and he's fucking brilliant. And since then, he's only done these stupid action movies. He's a very good actor. Yeah. So I'm looking forward to seeing him in this. I think you'd be surprised. I just hate his body. Well, he's lost about 40 pounds. So 20, 30 kilos of muscle he's lost. In fairness to him, apparently he's a bloody nice bloke.
13:01A very nice man, but he's always up to three or four hours late to see every day, which makes me hate him. That makes me hate him. Yeah, that'd fuck me off.
13:09Mike Minogue:Such a Keezy thing to do. Yeah, because Keezy's always late. And not here early, having a convo with his mates about movies, and then Jase walks in. And because we haven't adjusted our conversation to the fact that Jase is now here, we're the a-holes. What do you want us to talk about? Video games or golf. Yeah, what do you want to chat about? Golf? No. So when you walk in, we'll start chatting about golf.
13:29Keyzie:This is what I want. Shut the fuck up.
13:32Mike Minogue:We're going to come in early. Fuck's sake. You're riding here on your bumblebee and you expect everyone to shut the fuck up. Hey, listen to the big show. Four or seven weekdays, by the way. On Hoduck.
