0:00For all you mad bastards loving the Big Show podcast, get up even closer on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok or Raw Doggett. 4 to 7 every weekday on Radio Horete. That's correct. G'day fellas. Hi guys. Hello. Is anybody here in a horror of a mood?

0:22Keyzie:No. Are you in a horror of a mood, Keezy?

0:26Mike Minogue:Yeah, yeah, I'm in a hurrah mood, man I'm not in a hurrah mood Are you sure? I'm good I'm just So I was in there picking my throbber with pugs Yeah Jase walked in three times Sure And he got angry at us three times We're taking too long to pick a throbber It's like, well, I'm just hanging out and chatting I wasn't here because I got here and you guys were already in the studio And I walked in and you could cut the atmosphere with a knife Between you two I mean, I thought you guys would have had a hur of a fight or something. Yeah, we had a massive falling out. Have you noticed anything, Pugs, man?

0:58You getting a vibe of any vibe in here? Like there was an atmosphere when I walked in. You could cut the tension between these two with a knife.

1:06Mike Minogue:Can't hear you. Can't hear you, man. Can't hear you. Turn your thing on, man. Yeah, we can't hear you. Don't worry about it.

1:12Keyzie:We can't hear what you're saying, Pugs. Talk. Well, no, because if we had a hur of a fight, we wouldn't be in the same room together. I wouldn't be sitting in. Would you not? No, in a filthy silence. I've had enough of that in my life to not indulge in it anymore. But, I mean, I was just trying to come through to the studio, and it took him like 15 fucking minutes to get his swabber on. 15 minutes. Just make sure it's on this beat here, and just make sure it ends right on this moment. It's like, it's just the fucking swabber. Just pick a song and fucking get on with it. It was probably like six minutes, I reckon.

1:47Mike Minogue:Six minutes. And he came in thrice. Thrice times. So it's two-minute intervals. Yeah. You know? And I was just wanting to pick a good throb of pugs. Can you test now, man? I think you guys need to go on a holiday, eh? Yeah, man, sure. You guys need a break. Sure, you've got one coming up what he just bought. Yeah, two days. Four days total.

2:04Keyzie:Well, including the weekend, yes. That's good. Yeah. Yes, and making the most of it. It's good. I'm looking forward to it. I think the weather's going to be terrible. Actually, it is. I actually looked ahead because we're looking to go away a bit. She's not looking great, but it's a week out. So I'm like, well, mate, very well changed. Auckland, though. And it's not about that anyway. You know what I mean? No. I'm just going to live in this moment and not worry about what's happening next week. Oh, Kia Kaha, brother. Yeah, man. That's what Eckhart told me. Oh, did he? Yeah. Old Eckhart.

2:41Mike Minogue:It's Auckland, though. The weather will say it's raining and it'll be like, today is meant to be pissing with rain the whole time. Did piss for a while. Yeah, for like an hour or something, you know, and then it just doesn't. So it's sweet as, man. And it's also spring.

2:51Keyzie:It's so hot. Which is just all over the shop. Well, there's that. She's a windy bastard, boy. Yeah, there's a lot of wind going on, which, you know, usually does put me in a whir of a mood. But I'm not in a whir of a mood. Well, it's going to be...

3:08We're off. I'll probably see you tomorrow, Jason. You and I are going off in our March for Palestine. We're going across the old Pantala Bridge. Yep. Going to be blowing a fucking gale. Oh, a pug sound's coming. Yeah, good stuff. You going to be there, Keezy?

3:19Mike Minogue:No, I've got open homes to go look at. Yeah, good on you, brother. It's going to be blowing a bastard. Is it? It's going to be freezing cold. Yeah. But it'll be good fun, won't it?

3:30Keyzie:Yeah, well, and you were telling me, was it you that was telling me that they can only let a certain amount of people across at a time because the old harbour bridge gets swinging? Well, it starts swinging, but I got that message from the missus who got it from somebody at her work. So God knows if it's true. Yeah, true. But then they said that it's a long way. There's nowhere to go to the toilet for about 7K or something like that. Does that feel right? That can't be right. But for a long time anyway. So the concern was my daughter not being able to go to the toilet. But I think how good would it be if my young daughter got the opportunity to take a bush piss on the Auckland Harbour Bridge?

4:08Don't get many shots at that in your life. I didn't hear 7K coming into it. No. That seems like it's too far. There's no way it's 7K. That's a long way. It is.

4:18Keyzie:But anyway.

4:19Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. The Hauraki Big Show podcast.

4:28Keyzie:You all right, Keezy? You just seem pretty fired up or something. I don't know, man. What's going on with you? Sweet as, man.

4:34Mike Minogue:What's happened, man, is I'm a bit shell-shocked from earlier. Yeah. I honestly am. It was just a bit like I'm just still trying to come to grips with, you know, the fact that we were doing almost nothing wrong. Yeah, almost. Almost nothing. That's the thing. What it was was taking pride in my work and wanting to make sure I chose the right thing. Well, look, man, I don't think you did anything wrong. But then equally, Jase just wants to get in and do some work. Thanks, mate. The thing is, right, he came in. Yeah. So the B studio, you've got to walk through it to get to the A studio. He comes into the B studio, says, can you hurry up?

5:03Mike Minogue:And then walks back out to the office. Wouldn't it have been easier to just come through?

5:06Keyzie:Just come into the main studio. Yeah, well, I didn't have – and also, you know, I was just coming in to say hello to the feelers. Yeah. And as soon as I did that, Keezy was like, hey, man, do you mind I'm trying to pick my throbber? Jace, now you're telling fucking porcupines.

5:21Mike Minogue:Porcupines. Keezy. Porcupines, mate.

5:23Keyzie:Keezy, what did I say when I walked in today?

5:26Mike Minogue:You walked in today. We were chatting for ages. Yeah, what were you talking about? I can't remember. We were just saying, hey, what were you up to today? He said, oh, if I told you that, I'd have to kill you. Yes, Dan. We had a bit of banter, and I was like, oh, by the way, By the way, we're doing throbber stuff, just FYI. And then boom, man, it was like throwing a match on a petrol fire. Well, Pugsans in here and Pugs hasn't got a dog in this fight. How did you see it, man? And let me just say, it's like this all the time. Yeah. Like you guys just fucking going to each other. Normally it doesn't make its way on air, but here we are.

5:55Jase, I just, you're a good man? Oh, fuck off.

5:59Mike Minogue:You want to talk about it, brother?

6:01Keyzie:Don't you come in here with your fucking rope hat.

6:06Mike Minogue:Something's up, man, and I just wear hair for you.

6:09Keyzie:Start licking Keezy's bullos. I'm not having it. Well, I would have if you didn't keep interrupting in Studio D. You know what my vibe was, Keezy, on you today? Oh, this is great. Let's just open honest conversation here. What's up, man? With no mustard on it at all. My vibe on you today was, oh, Keezy looks a bit tired. I think he might be a bit hungover.

6:29Mike Minogue:No, I'm not hungover, tell it. Oh, okay. Last night. No, what did I do last night? Last night was boring. Yeah, wasn't it a big chill night? Fucking great night last night. Bachelor night. Listening to Vinyls Man, talking to the million. No, no, actually, no. Watch something on TV. Good something. Five Buzzies. Wow. Hard five. Wow. Hard five. I stayed up till 11.30. Was it The Ditch? Wow, that's crazy. That's how it was the replays of The Ditch with Adam Blair. It was such a good show. But, yeah, geez, it was good. It was bloody good. So, yeah, I had a good night. My night last night was my wife, the Off Pugs.

7:01Mike Minogue:Oh, no, yeah, yeah. You can go. or you can stay whatever.

7:05Keyzie:Jace, just before I go, you sweet?

7:06Mike Minogue:Just get out.

7:11Mike Minogue:Got home. My wife's like, man, I had a shocking sleep last night. Just FYI, I'm pretty tired. You said that to your wife? No, my wife said that to me. Oh, okay. And then I was like, okay, sweet as. So in my mind, I was like, we'll have dinner, I'll clean up, and then we'll watch something on the couch for like half an hour, and then she'll be off to bed because she gets tuckered out real easy. And then she just stayed up like way later than normal. What? I hope you had it out with her. No, yeah. Did it annoy you? Yeah, but like a reasonable amount, not like if you walk into the Beast's video. Like a normal person.

7:42Mike Minogue:And then so she ended up going to bed like an hour later, and I was like, cool, once she goes to bed, I'll play PlayStation for a bit, maybe have a small glass of porch. She ruined your night. Ruined my night. Now I'm fucked up. I like spending time with my wife. I guess that's where we're different.

7:53Keyzie:How revealing is that about Keezy's state of mind? I had a great night last night. I had a great day today. It was a chip of spirits, and now Keezy's just revealed

8:02Mike Minogue:What did you do today, Jase?

8:05Keyzie:As I said, Kese, if I told you that, I'd have to kill you. Why? Because it's top secret. Fuck off. Why did you work in the garden? My wife and I actually go to bed at the same time as your wife? Yes. Yes, same, every night. Without fail. Without fail, same. Yep. Every now and then. Never. It may be that she'll go to bed earlier than me.

8:27Mike Minogue:Pugs, can we get a couple of little medals made up for Jase and Mike for going to bed with their wives?

8:32Keyzie:And certainly, you know, certainly. I think it's weird that we do that. Yeah, it's just how we operate in our house. It's not even an organised thing. Earlier to bed, the better for me, as far as I'm concerned. Love it.

8:45Mike Minogue:That's because, yeah, you guys naturally just wake up really fucking early. Yeah, I don't do that. I wake up at like 7.30 or something. So an eight-hour sleep is going to sleep at 11.30. Yeah. And it depends. If I've got a game I'm jamming at the moment, then my wife will go to bed at like 9.30, and then I'll play it for an hour, then come to bed. Yeah.

9:01Keyzie:Yeah. We even go to sleep at the same time.

9:05Mike Minogue:Fuck, you guys are clingy.

9:06Keyzie:Hang on a minute. No, it's not that. It's just that we both go to bed and read. You drop off at the same time, do you? And as soon as one of us goes, okay, I'm done, the other one always goes, yeah, same. Yeah, same. It's the same. I don't like trying to go to sleep and the other person's got the light on reading. It's fucking annoying. I don't actually mind that, but it doesn't happen. It doesn't happen. I'm fuming about it.

9:29Mike Minogue:Yeah, honestly. So if you need any advice, Keezy, on anything. On like marriage and that? Nah, I'm good as gold, fellas. You are, aren't you, man? Oh, that's good, man. Honestly, I am. I'm fucking right as wrong. I'll wear a super dry jacket today, man, as well. I think they make a good jacket. I know, because it's absolutely pissing down in here. See, like, do you feel the venom in that, man? I tell you what It's going to be a good show today I tell you I'm just Absolutely dogging each other For you two Not me
