0:00Keyzie:For all you mad bastards loving the Big Show podcast, get up even closer on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok or Raw Doggy. 4 to 7 every weekday on Radio Horeke. Founders! Mogies making lots of really loud weird noises. It's never a good sign. It's because I'm tired. Yes. Why are you so tired? Oh me and the missus had a fight last night and so that always takes it out of me. Does it? Yeah. Yeah. It does. It does. It's emotionally draining. Especially when you don't resolve it. That's right. And that's exactly what happened. Oh, yeah. You see, that's not good. Do you want to get into it here? Well, she was saying that I was the biggest stud in the world.

0:41And I was like, maybe I'm top three at best. Yeah. Yeah, well, look. Top three at best. And she was like, no. It's like. See, I'd be fucking human. That's just bullshit. It's bullshit. She's lying. It's not realistic. I'm on her side.

0:53Mike Minogue:No, but Jason, you always are on Mogie's wife's side. She hasn't been around the world. No, she hasn't seen all the studs. Being around the world.

1:00Keyzie:When she says that Mogi's the biggest stud in the world, I'm with her. Yeah. So anyway, one thing led to another, and her of an argument there, sleeping in separate rooms. No, I don't know, actually. I don't know why. I had a pretty good sleep. Pretty good sleep? Yeah, good. Don't know. Don't know. I'm just fucking rooted. Yeah, good stuff. How are you going, Keezy? Yeah, I'm really tired. Are you tired? Nah, I'm actually going to dream. I've been out in the sun painting all day. Keezy's over his hangover, man.

1:31Mike Minogue:I wasn't hungover yesterday, was I? You said I need one more sleep. Oh, yeah. I was just a bit sleepy. Yeah, that's hungover. Nah. That's a result of drinking piss. Wow. Which is a hangover. I don't know if it can be the piss. I mean, I don't know. Well, I was certainly just not tired for no reason. I was tired.

1:48Keyzie:I had a good sleep. No one got murdered in the night. Hang on a minute.

1:51Mike Minogue:We're talking about Keezy's hangover.

1:52Keyzie:It was boring me.

1:55Mike Minogue:I'm sorry that my hangover chat's not exciting enough for you

1:58Keyzie:Well we've been talking about your hangover for two days It's been going on for a while So that was good So sorry tell us about your sleep Well no one got murdered in the night So it was quite a good sleep

2:11Mike Minogue:So you had a sleep and it was fine It was fine And you think that's a bit of your arm That's more interesting than Casey Benham Totally it is You know what's interesting is Hoity J's new haircut

2:18Keyzie:Slick, they call him Slick Slick Rick I have not had a new haircut It's a new dude I wanted to have a new haircut today and I went, actually, I can't be fucked. Why? Sounds like you didn't want to. Because I didn't know where to go. I'm lost. I didn't want to sort of go and just randomly go to someone I didn't know. Can you cut my hair?

2:38Mike Minogue:I'll give you the details of my bloke. Mogey. Whoa!

2:42Keyzie:This is going to be painful. There's a certain joy in annoying Jase because Jase is normally the one that annoys. I never annoy anyone. He likes annoying me. You don't annoy me, it entertains me. Do I annoy anyone? But I annoy Jase.

2:55Mike Minogue:I feel like I annoy Pugs. Yeah, I think you annoy Pugs. Yeah, you annoy Pugs. Everybody annoys Pugs. And then Pugs really annoys Pugs.

3:00Keyzie:Because he's done with his job, man. Well, I tell you what. I don't think he's coming back from Vietnam. I didn't just between the three of us. Just between the three of us, right? I reckon he's already on the plane to Vietnam. Really? Yeah.

3:11Mike Minogue:Like mentally?

3:12Keyzie:Yeah, mentally and emotionally. Yeah. Sexually as well, I think. For years.

3:16Mike Minogue:He's sexually on the plane to Vietnam already. How does that even work? I think he's even saving it now for Vietnam. I think he's on a sexual famine. Yes, really?

3:25Keyzie:He's saving it all up for him.

3:27Mike Minogue:To have like a big Vietnamese sexual banquet.

3:28Keyzie:Because have you noticed the way he's walking at the moment? It's like he's got massive balls.

3:32Mike Minogue:Yeah, yeah, he is walking like he's got huge balls. What's that about?

3:37Keyzie:Bollos. But great stuff, fellas. Big day, big day. Did you go for another one of your walks, man? Yeah, I went for a walk today. Where'd you go? Just around the city. Yeah, right. It's a beautiful day out there. It was a warm day, wasn't it? It was warm dark. Yeah, it was toasty. We touched on this yesterday off-air, Keezy. It wasn't on-air, chat. Thank God for that. But 24s, 25s this week. It's pretty good. Yeah, it's lovely. I was walking back from the office today there over to here, and I was thinking to myself, shit, it's warmer than I thought it was. Yeah, well, I made the mistake of wearing my trackies and my sweatshirt.

4:09Keyzie:And that shirt. No, not this shirt. When I was walking around, and she was hot. Oh, I thought you meant now, yeah. It's a mistake. No, when I was going for my walk. Got a bit sweaty on it, Keezy.

4:19Mike Minogue:you know. I'd love to tag along with you on one of your walks.

4:22Keyzie:Sure man, you're most

4:23Mike Minogue:welcome. Just from like now, sort of like three metres back. Yeah. Just sort of watching.

4:27Keyzie:Yeah. I just put my headphones on and just wander. Hands behind your back. Sometimes. Sometimes my hands are behind my back.

4:34Mike Minogue:I've noticed that I do that sometimes, hand behind the back. Yeah, you're an old

4:37Keyzie:fogey. I really like Elliot Street. Who's she? What treat has she got? Elliot Street's just a really good street. It's got a lot going on in Elliot Street. Is that where Elliot's stable? Yeah, Elliot Stables. Where's Elliot Stables?

4:52Mike Minogue:On Elliot Street. I honestly don't know how to describe it. It's in the downtown area.

4:58Keyzie:That's overrated, that place. It's not great.

5:00Mike Minogue:No, you're right. I've been there.

5:01Keyzie:Elliot Street. Elliot Stables. I've been there three or four times. It's like a conglomeration of restaurants.

5:09Mike Minogue:It's one of those ones where it's sort of like Commercial Bay, where you go and you order and then you go sit down in a communal area and then your buzzer goes off and you go get your food. Right. Yeah. It's not too bad, I don't think.

5:17Keyzie:Yeah, I've had about three or four meals here. Well, he doesn't like it, but he's so. Yeah, so. End of as far as I'm concerned. I mean, I'm sure it's great for some people, but when you've got a high culinary taste. Do you, though?

5:29Mike Minogue:I think you'd like it, Keezy. I probably would, to be honest. The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. The Hauraki Big Show podcast.

5:42Keyzie:Oh, you're going to Peachy. When's that tonight?

5:44Mike Minogue:I'm not saying when I'm going to Peachy.

Read the full transcript

5:46Keyzie:Oh.

5:47Mike Minogue:No, yeah, tomorrow night.

5:48Keyzie:Nice. Oh, yeah, right. I was saying this is the lovely thing, Moggy. I was saying to Keezy yesterday when I go for like a K Road walk and you walk through St. Kevin's Arcade, the people that run the Peachy restaurant in the mornings, they go out the front of the shop and they're making all their pasta. Very cool. It's very cool watching them do that.

6:07Mike Minogue:It is great. It's one of my favourite restaurants, PICI, for anyone that wants to go there. I would call it Pasta La Vista. It does fuck me off, though, that they ask for tips. They're one of those ones that you spend like$200,$300, and then they go, do you want to give a tip to everyone? It's like, fuck, it's already. Do they ask you or is it just on the thing? It's on the thing, and they're sitting there looking at you. It's easy. The answer's no. No, no.

6:27Keyzie:I say no. I've been there. I thought it was a bit bland. And that the sort of person who would think it was good.

6:40Mike Minogue:Well, it's just interesting that you thought that was bland when at your house for dinner the other night. Oh, here we go. Careful. What do you mean? Careful, Tiger. What? Fucking old Tony's on the warpath over here. Look out. I don't have my jacket on, not Tony.

6:55Keyzie:Holy fuck. This is going to be an interesting night at Keezy's.

6:58Mike Minogue:Jase is so funny with his wife. He's so funny because Keezy's wife is open slather. That's the love of his wife, man. That's the love of his wife. Honestly, it's open slather for Keezy's wife, who's a great sport. But as soon as you just do even something slightly joking in Jase's direction, he runs and tells his wife straight away. And then they buy T-shirts that say six out of ten on them and then wear them to your house.

7:20Keyzie:Yeah. Not six out of ten. Four.

7:25Mike Minogue:I don't think she's invited. I'm not inviting your wife to my house for dinner.

7:29Keyzie:No, my wife, she's very fair, mate. Do you know what I think we should do? Yes. I think that we should do this come dine with me, but we should do it in a week. and it's every single night, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, whatever. And I think we should film it and I think we should make a TV show out of it. Because it would be fucking gold.

7:57Mike Minogue:It would. It would just be how would we do that? Easy. Filming it and editing all of that. You'd do it.

8:02Keyzie:Yeah, I got it. You're busy. Sweet as. DOP. Mogey. Yeah, maybe. But it does put more pressure on Keezy and I think he's already freaking out. I'm not freaking out. What do you mean? I've got no idea what my menu is. Do you know what yours is? No. No, neither.

8:18Mike Minogue:All I know is I'm making all of it. Well, neither did we, really. Well, it's a bit of a, it's a treacherous, it's a treacherous thing because my wife is a good cook. However, however, she never tastes anything. Right. So she'll put it on the table and when people taste it, that's the first time anybody's finding out what it tastes like. Which I think is a crime. The only thing I remember you talking about your wife making was that night, you forgot about it, where you got home and it was pasta, with sausages chopped up in it. I can't even remember that. I know. I remember it too

8:48Keyzie:because you were so outraged by it.

8:51Mike Minogue:And I was picturing just bland spaghetti with hellers or sizzlers chopped up into it. Yeah, yeah, that doesn't sound good. And then the other thing that she made more recently was chicken with fucking fruit in it. Like raisins or some shit. Oh, raisins. That sounds yum. But you know, but my problem is, yeah, exactly, that sort of shit, she knows I hate fruit. In your meat. In meats. Yes. And yet here it is. Yeah.

9:18Keyzie:Interesting. Well, I don't mind a bit of fruit and meat. And she says, because we've got guests, walks through the door, she goes, oh, it's really nice. It's like, it's not. I hate fruit and meat. Yeah, for meat. Yeah. Hate it.

9:28Mike Minogue:Hate it. Could she make one with something else in it rather than, like darts or something? Just nothing. But we've got, I know what the entertainment's going to be. I've got that sort of, that's sussed. Stripper? Oh, how good. I hadn't thought about that. Yeah, stripper. That's it. What would you do if? Sex show, live sex show. He did actually organise like a full-blown, full frontal nudity stripper.

9:48Keyzie:I would leave.

9:49Mike Minogue:Whatever. Your dick out.

9:52Keyzie:I would leave.

9:53Mike Minogue:You would leave your dick out.

9:55Keyzie:My fatos out. Just be wandering around the house.

9:59Mike Minogue:I mean, the funny thing about that is like, you'd leave it out like it was out at some stage already. Right, I'm not putting this away. Good stuff, fellas. That's going to be good. We better crack on with it though, because it's fucking dragging out, isn't it? Well, we said we were going to do one every couple of months. Oh, is it that? No. That's what you said. I did not say a couple of months. No way. You can't have a strew line for a whole year. Oh, no. I didn't say that. And Pugs is about to leave.

10:25Keyzie:That's for three weeks. Yeah, and then, of course, he's moving on, isn't he? Yeah, he's got that new gig. And you'll have a baby in the house, Keezy, so we'd better move on with it. Yeah, we'd better hurry up. I don't want to have a dinner party with. Are you having like a baby shower? Because I'll tell my wife and she'll come along to it. Probably get a look like five out of ten.

10:48Mike Minogue:My wife, what, my baby?

10:50Keyzie:Your baby shower.

10:51Mike Minogue:My wife, by the way, has requested we stop making jokes about babies. Okay. Fair enough.

10:56Keyzie:It's a serious matter. She's right. Because some people can't have babies.

11:00Mike Minogue:And she said they might take offence to it. Oh, they don't listen to our show. No, that's what I said. Yeah. People don't listen to our show. They don't listen to our show. They don't listen to our show. They don't listen to our show. single person that might take offence, we'd never do a radio show. Yeah. There's always going to be somebody who'd take offence. Yeah, I'd take offence to that just then. I know. I'd take offence that your wife's telling me what I can and can't do on my show.

11:18Keyzie:Should we get some half-price sushi, fellas? Yeah, let's go. Go for it. Let's get in front of Mogi before he fucking takes everything I want.

11:25Mike Minogue:Horatio. Listen to the big show. Four to seven weekdays. Radio Horaki. Oops.
