0:19Mike Minogue:No, it didn't make it. It was just your laugh. Oh, good.
0:21Keyzie:It's almost at the point now where I reckon we just start with a disclaimer. Yeah. You know what I mean? And that way we've got all the bases covered. Look, we've been talking about, or I've been thinking about, maybe we haven't been talking about it, but changing the name of the podcast. Yes. And we should just change it to disclaimer. It's just a disclaimer. The whole thing's a disclaimer.
0:41Mike Minogue:I thought you wanted to call it Big Show Filth. Oh, yeah. Big Show Filth, the disclaimer. Yeah. Yeah, I reckon that's good. The outro. The outro filth. Disclaimer.
0:53Keyzie:Just on podcast, did you see my idea in the chat today, fellas? We do podcast chat.
0:59Mike Minogue:So what do you do with that? Talk about other podcasts? Yes. Oh, yeah.
1:03Keyzie:Well, because I was talking to my wife. But you'll just be all over Trump shit. No, no, I don't watch any of that sort of stuff on podcasts. And it's really very tedious. I go true crime, murder, and all that sort of shit. But I was just aware of the fact that people these days talk a lot about podcasts. Oh, you should check out this one or that one, or this one's really good. Yes. And you know when my wife and I are about to go out, we go, oh, what podcast should we watch? And I go, well, Mogi hasn't suggested any to me, so I don't know.
1:36Mike Minogue:The fact that you watch podcasts is really tripping me out.
1:39Keyzie:Sorry, listen to podcasts.
1:41Mike Minogue:Yeah, yeah, yeah. The issue is that people might go listen to them and then not come back to our one.
1:45Keyzie:Oh, no, they'll always come back to us because we've got filth. We're a faithful. We've got a filth, yeah.
1:49Mike Minogue:But we have to pretend. And it's only 10 minutes. Nobody does a filth like the big show. Nah, because it's our radio show podcast as well.
1:55Keyzie:Yeah, I know.
1:56Mike Minogue:No one listens to that. Yes, everyone listens to that. Do they? Yeah, everyone listens to both.
2:00Keyzie:Wow, okay.
2:00Mike Minogue:I assume. Yeah, we don't know.
2:02Keyzie:Yes, well. Pugs, do you know? Could we know? Yeah, probably. Could you look at the numbers and go, okay, they're listening to the thingy, the outro and the thingy thingy. Yes, you can. You can tell how many, you can tell what episodes are getting to listen to, how many listens they have, where they get dropped off, the average listening time you can tell everything. Everything you can tell. Right, okay. Good to know. It's good stuff. Pugs, is this going on YouTube?
2:28Mike Minogue:I'm really trying to get information out of Pugs. I'm not getting a lot today. No, you get nothing.
2:32Keyzie:He told me off today too. He said, hey, just watch it, Hoyt. But you don't listen to him. You listen to him. Well, it was funny because it's very much like the Keezy scenario where I'm being really positive with Keezy and he goes, can you not do that, man? I was talking about what a stallion... I have never yelled that ever. I was talking about what a stallion he was and he was like, just go easy, man. And I was like, oh. Just a heads up, go easy on old Pugsound day today. Yeah, no, okay. I'll get with you on the potties. What's that? The podcast. Yes. But that could also be in what's on the podcast with, you know, what have we been listening to?
3:07You can chuck it in there. What are you reading as well? Yeah. Same sort of thing. I'm reading a shit novel at the moment. I'm loving it. Yeah. But if you've got any podcasts, let me know, because I just end up listening to the same old things. There used to be some great true crime ones, but I can't find any.
3:21Keyzie:Well, my wife told me about one today that was recommended to her by her sister and her partner. and I can't remember what it's called. Great. But apparently it's very good. Well, I recommend one to you. It's called Snowball. Yes. Oh, that's a classic. It's a great one. It's about a Kiwi guy whose brother, Ollie his name is, he worked for Triple J over in Aussie. But anyway, his brother married an American woman who ended up fleecing the entire family. No way. Putting their, they lost their house, they lost their restaurant that they were in, all the stuff, and it's him trying to track her down all around the world and find a trail of destruction that she's left around the world in other instances where she's done it.
4:04It's fucking great. Okay, what's it called?
4:07Mike Minogue:Snowball. Snowball, okay, look it up. See, when you said, I want to do what's on the podcast, I thought it was a segment that we do where we play this ding and then Jase asks me what's on the podcast outro today and then I play the clip. Right. That's what I thought it was. That explains your laughing emoji. that's funny because we do a whole segment dedicated to just playing a clip of what's on the podcast that's a good idea unfortunately it wasn't Jase's idea that's your idea I thought you were going to come and be like hey I've got a great idea for a new segment what's on the podcast and we literally just make a sting
4:38Keyzie:well we can do that too Latham 100 well done but anyway it just occurred to me we can do your idea Kesey that sounds great
4:49Mike Minogue:I don't want to come in and take your idea away and make it way better. But you know what I mean?
4:55Keyzie:Because we do watch on the TV, obviously, and people still talk about what they watch on the TV, but it's become very much part of the vernacular now, people talking about podcasts. The only problem that we've got is, because I'd like to do books as well, because it covers audio books as well, but the thing about Liz, you don't want to be, because people do those sorts of ideas, and you don't want to steal them, you know? I'm just conscious of taking other people's ideas. What do you mean? Hmm? Huh? Do you read, Keezy?
5:23Mike Minogue:No, not at the moment. I go through phases. What about tampon boxes when you're in the shitter? Nah, not really. I used to do that a lot as a kid. The instructional little booklet there is very interesting. The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. The Hauraki Big Show podcast.
5:42Keyzie:Thinking of pugs today, actually, while I was taking a steamer. This is true. This is true.
5:50Mike Minogue:I always think of Pugs when I'm backing one out.
5:52Keyzie:I was backing one out reading my American book that's been in there for years and years. Was it that political one? Yes. That Trump one? Yes.
5:59Mike Minogue:It would just be covered in poo particles, man.
6:01Keyzie:And all I remember, I remember Pugs saying, that's so fucking disgusting, man. Yeah. It'll be poo particles all over it, you know, and I went, you know what, it's time to go. So I did my poos and then I took the book out and biffed it. See, they didn't wipe his ass in that scenario.
6:18Mike Minogue:It's disgusting. or flush the toilet. Did you hear that? Yeah. It's fucking, it's still just rotting away. So he did his pose, didn't pull up his pants, flush the toilet, wash his hands and just waddled to the bin. Fuck, he's a piece of shit. And threw it away, then came into work. With my undies around my knees. My undies were around my knees, Keezy.
6:34Keyzie:Unreal. That's disgusting.
6:35Mike Minogue:Your knees, surely you put them right down to the ground.
6:37Keyzie:No, I have them just to my knees. Really? Yeah. Because what I do is - What about you, Moggy? I'm knees. I think I'm pretty much knees. Yeah, knees, thighs. And what I do is I have really tight undies. Right around there. Not all the way to the floor. I don't want them on the floor. Pass on the floor. With your fucking massive diarrhoea splatters, you'd need to be. But listen. What the hell is that, man? I'm talking about. Do we need to put a disclaimer?
7:02Mike Minogue:Why all of a sudden is it that I've got diarrhoea? That came in the other day.
7:05Keyzie:Now listen. Well, I'm trying to explain something here as to the placement of my undies. And I wear very tight undies. So I do thigh exercises while I'm. To keep it under control. Backing one out. Really? All right. That's not true. Okay, Keaton. All right. That's what you think.
7:24Mike Minogue:My wife was like, oh, you should send the audio of you reviewing that stage show to the company that sent you the tickets. And I was like, that's a good idea. That is a good idea. Because usually they'll be like, hey, can you post it on social or something? But I can't be bothered doing that. So I was like, what I did, though, was review it on the radio. Well, that's an interesting thing. I'm assuming that was 818. Was that 818 that sent that through? So I saw Chris Henry, who runs 818, at the Screen Awards, and I said, thank you very much. Yeah. for getting us along. I said, I didn't put it on socials, but we talked about it on the radio because I'm conscious of the same thing.
7:55But I said, thank you very much for inviting me to all these things. I really appreciate it. Have a good time. But we talk about it on the radio. And he said, well, he goes, yeah, it's interesting because you're talking about Cirque du Soleil

8:09and your daughter was up on the stage there. You said you were at the show and your daughter got up on stage and she was getting thrown all around the place. And I do not remember that happening.
8:17Mike Minogue:Oh, God. You must have stepped outside for a minute. Yeah, yeah. Well, because the reason I brought this up was I was like, okay, I'll do that. So I sent them the clip from a podcast yesterday, and I just said, hey, reviewed the show Christmas Carol. Here's the link to the podcast. Here's the timestamp. Thank you very much. Didn't do a social post, but I will always review something if I go along on the radio, which I think is better value for them anyway. I think so as well. Did you get the tickets for free? Yes. And you, I bet if you logged. Well, the trouble is you never go. Log into your NZME account.
8:50Oh, you've actually probably got the invites.
8:51Mike Minogue:You've probably got all the same invites. Yeah. But the reason why I'm bringing this up is because it took two minutes before I got to the review, and it was Jase talking about me having explosive diarrhea. And I sent all of that, and then at the end it's like, how many buzzies were there, Keezy? And I was like, oh, 4.2 buzzies. And then it ended with Jase being like, oh, so did you shit yourself? I was like, yeah. And then I packaged it, and I sent it off, and I was just like, I don't know if – maybe I'll just do a social post next time. I love it. But that was a good review. That made me want to go.
9:22Mike Minogue:It was a fantastic show, 100%. But it was just interesting because there's three minutes of this five-minute review. It was just talking about me doing poos and stuff and how many buzzies. Yeah, it's a quality show we do.
9:33Keyzie:It really is. It was really interesting, actually, because you've got to be careful when you're getting free stuff and then promoting the shit out of it. And I once bought a pizza. from a friend of my daughter who runs this lovely little pizza joint. And I posted it on Instagram and went, bloody great pizza if you're looking for a pizza. The amount of abuse I got for that was quite extraordinary. Really? Yes. Just because they thought I was getting it for free and, you know. If you are, it doesn't matter. And I wasn't. I paid for it. And I was just saying, hey, this is great. Come along if you like good pizza.
10:08Keyzie:And you got abused for that, didn't you? I got abused. Like, you sell out. You blah, blah, blah. And I was like, no. Yeah, but that's all coming from deadbeats and fucking losers. I wouldn't worry about it too. Or trolls. Or trolls intentionally. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, or just big show fans. Yes. Who can't say anything nice.
10:25Mike Minogue:Oh, they do. No, lots of them say it. They do. They do say nice things. That's not fair, Keezy. But also, like, even if you had got a free pizza and you posted it on your Instagram, which has thousands of followers. It does. That's all G. Who gives a fuck? You're allowed to post it who the fuck you want.
10:40Keyzie:Well, that's right. I was just quite taken aback at the time. I was like, what? Come on, people. Yeah, that's what it is. Fucking chill out. Yeah. Just promoting a young business. Fucking going on about again. Are they paying you, man? Cash for comment. Cash for comment. I'm just trying to remember what it's called, actually. Pizza Hut. No, no, it's in... It's in sort of grey Lynn there.
11:02Mike Minogue:Oh. Oh, the wood-fired bastard. Domino's. It's the wood-fired one right there on the corner
11:12Keyzie:Eagle Boys? Holy shit You know where that cluster of shops is? As you go down Richmond Road Yeah, that one Yeah, that one I'm sure it's a wood-fired joint, isn't it? Nepolitos or something like that Oh, yeah Epolitos, I think it's called
11:26Mike Minogue:Oh, isn't that really Famously really, really good? It is very good, yes Yeah, you would say that
11:31Keyzie:That's not young business, though, is it? That's old business She took it over And she's only, you know, young as Like what, eight? No, sort of probably early 20s. Oh, nice. They were mean to you, were they? No, she was great to me.
11:45Mike Minogue:Because I'll go down there and give her a piece of my mind if she was mean to you. If she gives you a piece of my mind.
11:48Keyzie:Oh, no, she was good to me.
11:49Mike Minogue:Oh, okay.
11:50Keyzie:And it was good pizza, man. Yeah. Eppolitos. What do you reckon the odds are that that's the name of that joint? Mmm. Slim. If it was a big pile, I'd say 10%, yes. Yeah. It feels right. It feels right.
12:04Mike Minogue:Use promo code HoityJ at Eppolitos for 25 % off. A garlic bread. Hey, listen to The Big Show, 4 or 7 weekdays. Radio Hadoki. Thank you.
