In short

The hosts wrap up the Big Show podcast with a mix of promo, crude banter about “beating off face” photos/polls (with a disclaimer not to listen around kids), food talk (Reburger and spicy noodles), and sports discussion—especially NRL finals performances and match recaps (Broncos vs Raiders; Penrith; Warriors; Sharks/Roosters mentioned).

Guests

None—this is an outro with the regular hosts (Jase, Keezy, Casey, Dilly mentioned).

0:00Keyzie:For all you mad bastards loving the Big Show podcast, get up even closer on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok or Raw Dog It. 4 to 7 every weekday on Radio Hode Aki. Yeah man. Oh yeah. I watched one of our potties on YouTube today actually. I was thinking about you watching that because we got the post through from old mate. Yeah, what's his name there? Pugsun and he posted it up on the stories on the Big Show and I saw it and I was like, Oh, yeah, Jase always watches that. I don't, actually, but I come across him. It was the Pounding Away one.

0:36Mike Minogue:The Pounding Away. Yeah, the Pounding Away special.

0:38Keyzie:Yeah, and it's quite funny, actually. It's quite funny. The Pounding Away special. Is that the one where we made the reel? Where Keezy said I was pounding away, and I said, can you not? Oh, that's right, yeah. And then I did the whole line. You're turning into a real boomer, Jase. Which tempo is it, Jase? Yeah, that's right. And then it ended up being.

0:58Mike Minogue:Yeah.

1:00Keyzie:And that was it.

1:02Mike Minogue:Yeah. Two. So you enjoyed it, man? You're a fan of the big show?

1:05Keyzie:Yeah, I quite liked it. It's quite funny. They had many views on it there, man. How were the comments? Was it going off? One comment and 24 likes. I used to love you guys. Yeah. No, no. And I think our entire audience is like 4 ,000 people.

1:21Mike Minogue:Yeah, the Radio Horaki YouTube. Like, I don't think a radio station's YouTube channel was ever going to be massive. No. It's a very niche sort of thing. No. No. But it's worth - It's got a core audience of hardcore backbones, I'd say. That want to see us. Overseas. Yeah, yeah, totally. If we're doing it every day. Sure, yeah. If we're live streaming. Yeah. If we're live streaming. There was a bit of chat about that for a while, eh? Live streaming. Yeah, no, totally. I don't need everyone watching us for three straight hours. No, I only watch - Oh, you mean the entire show or the podcast? The whole show.

1:49The entire show. Right. But I would want to be not on screen in between breaks. When the songs are on. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that'd be fine.

1:57Mike Minogue:That'd be all G. That would be better. Even then, though. Why? Because you'll be beating off or something. Because I like to beat off while I'm talking. Well, it's just another place to lose radio listeners to, so that's good. Yeah, yeah. Good stuff. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Would you guys care if I was beating off during a break? I reckon the look on your face would make it worthwhile to me. I can see. I can picture it.

2:17Keyzie:To be honest, Casey, I've got used to it.

2:23Mike Minogue:What is my beating off face? It's probably like. It's sort of, yeah, there it is. Yeah, that's right. There's certainly an aggression to it. Oh, no. I imagine more of a lip curl, like, yeah. Like, in your head, you're thinking, yeah, get it.

2:35Keyzie:Get it. I'm like, get it. Get it. Yeah, yeah, that. Yeah.

2:40Mike Minogue:What's yours, man? Filthy bastard. Let's all do our, why don't we do a thing where Dilly comes in and takes a photo of us all doing our beating off face. Yeah. And then, oh, Jase looks. Picture the fellas looking real simple right now.

2:55Keyzie:How do you think that would go if we post a picture of our beating off faces? Well, it should be you post a picture of your face and then you've got to say what it is you're doing.

3:04Mike Minogue:But every time it's beating off. It's always beating off. Every time it's actually no wrong. But different stages of the beating off. The decision-making process cannot be bothered. Then getting into it, warming up. Afterwards, the shame. What do they call that, Jase? You won't need to beat this out. Sorry, I wasn't concentrating. Post-nut shame. Post-nut shame, Jase?

3:25Keyzie:is that when you have a massive ejaculate and then you're just sitting in your own filth going, is that what you're talking about? Yeah. Except in your case, there's no massive ejaculate. Yeah, it's just a... We're going to have to put a disclaimer on this one, I think. That's disgusting.

3:46Mike Minogue:It's a standard shit, mate. And also, man, you took it there. I was clean as a whistle. Hey, just a post-filth reminder, don't listen to this in front of your kids. Yeah, totally, man. Yeah. It's bad parenting. It's shocking from you. But yeah, so we take a photo of each of us. Yeah. And like our beating off face. And we do like a big poll and it's like, who's got the best beating off face? Oh my God. And then it's like every vote in the draw for a Reburger voucher. I had Reburger this weekend. How was it? Good. Good eating? It was good. It was really good eating. Bloody good eating. You had that before, man?

4:16Although we had to eat it. Oh yeah, all the time.

4:18Keyzie:We had to eat the chips up. We had to eat the chips up. Oh, you had to heat them up? Yeah. Oh, right. Take them home. Yeah, take them home, heat them up. It's good eating, Ray. Good eating. I had, I can't really say really because it's advertising for them. You're on the podcast, mate. They know you eat other things. Yeah. But unless it's one of the big burger chain. Well, it's not hamburgers and stuff. Sure. See how croaky I am? Fuck. It's fine. I'm dying, man. You sound as good as you've ever sounded. I had eaten noodles.

4:49Mike Minogue:Oh, yeah, noodles.

4:50Keyzie:And so what ends up happening, as it always does, is we over-order on the Friday. Yes. And it's basically eating noodles all weekend. I love an over-order. My wife's trying to stop. Oh, I don't know if we need that much. It's for tomorrow. Yeah, well, that's right. It's for tomorrow, mate. And I had it for dinner the next night and for lunch the next day. And then I had it for breakfast on Sunday.

5:11Mike Minogue:Bullshit. I did. Bullshit. I did.

5:13Keyzie:I had it for brunch on Sunday.

5:16Mike Minogue:I bet you do all this stuff. You do do. all this stuff. However, it's like a 10-pack of dumplings that you're talking about. So you have three on the Friday. Oh, here he is. 15-pack.

5:25Keyzie:I think they've changed it now. Is it 8 and 15? It's 8, 15, and 20. Yeah.

5:29Mike Minogue:You know what we should call them?

5:31Keyzie:Good Eden. Good Eden noodles. Yeah. They've missed a trick, Keezy. Fuck. And I always get extra spicy. Fuck, you're the man. You're just a weapon, bro. And whenever I do that, I always... That's why it's fucked your voice. I always think of Keezy. Do you? Jack in it. With his jack in it face. Well, no. When he got... When he got extra spicy, remember? And he had to kick his wife out of the shower. Oh, that's right. Because he had an atrocity. Fuck, that was like. Drop one in the broken shower stall. Was that what it was? Was it eating noodles extra spicy?

5:58Mike Minogue:Yeah, so I went for the hottest one because medium's not quite hot enough. And then like I think it was 8 p.m. at night, my wife was in the shower and I had to like knock on the door and say, hey, can you jump out? And she was just wrapped in a towel out in the hallway while I went in there and just fucking destroyed. Honestly, it was just like all of a sudden it came on and I was like, I have to go and evacuate everything inside me right now. Yum. Can we call this one the beating off special good Eden slash poos shit show? Good Eden.

6:26Keyzie:This is going to rate very highly on YouTube. This one's not on YouTube.

6:31Mike Minogue:The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki. The Hauraki Big Show podcast. How do you feel about the whas there, Keezy? Because we won't really get much of the time to chat about it. Well, talking to Gabby, of course, but we won't. Yeah, honestly, really fucking awesome performance considering how low on numbers, how inexperienced. Putting Lecker at centre, he's 19, and he still was awesome. Part of me is like, why don't we just play him there fucking more during the season if we're going to do that? But I was there watching the effort and stuff. All you want, Jays, is just the effort, man.

7:06Mike Minogue:Yeah, and they did what you said they hadn't been doing, which is completed to a real high percentage. And what a difference. Immediately you're competing. Yeah, 100%. Immediately you're competing. It was night and day, and I don't mind losing when they try hard. Yeah. I do, I'm gutted. Yeah. No, I'm stoked with that as a finish, but it does make you sort of like what happened in the last seven weeks. Totally, yeah. Yeah. But yeah, good year. Enjoyed that. Jolly good. It's good for next year. You know, still a couple of fucking shockers from DWZ. Oh my God, yeah. Oh my God. Fuck. It was nice being sidelined for this.

7:35Mike Minogue:So I was like two metres away from Brian Tor when he picked up that ball and ran the length of the field. Yeah. It was fucking awesome being sidelined. Were you sprinting sidelined with him, like keeping up, like a linesman?

7:45Keyzie:And I was going, see, DWC, this is how you fucking do it, man. This is how you fucking do it. Do you know I've been on sideline many, many times with the Warriors? Yeah, I know, because you used to be the mascot. I don't know if you know that, Jase. Jase, take your eyes off it, man. I do remember just the meatiness of it. When the boys would clash and you'd go, oh, Jesus, that's got to hurt.

8:09Mike Minogue:When the boys would clash, the meatiness.

8:11Keyzie:Well, just when two massive men smack into each other. It's like brutal.

8:16Mike Minogue:Yeah, I fucking loved it. As a league fan, I've done a lot in the league world with commentating the WARS, doing rugby league shows that then got cancelled. I've never been sidelined. I was telling Marty out in the office, I was literally a metre away from the Panthers bench, Luke Garner's on the bike warming up, Isaiah Papaliti's a couple of metres in front of me warming up his shoulders. I'm like, that's fucking rules, man. It's so cool.

8:39Keyzie:Shit weather, though. It sucked.

8:41Mike Minogue:But I fucking loved it. Did it go well? Yeah, it did. It went really well. Great. Yeah, we'll talk about it on the show. Yeah, yeah, but I want the truth, not what we're going to talk about on the show. No, so I'll say, yeah. Tomorrow we'll have audio. The pants man's going to put up some audio and send it today. It'll go to Pugs and we'll have that for tomorrow. Bloody beautiful. But I'm pretty sure it went well. Great. And I'll be having a yarn to them about doing it full-time next year. Yeah, fucking how good. Yeah, man. Watched Canberra last night, Canberra. Broncos. Broncos, holy fucking shit.

9:10How fucking good was that?

9:11Keyzie:Was that a golden pointer? It was 28-12 with 14 minutes left. Rhys Walsh, who got sin-binned. That's right, for head-butting. Should have been a straight send-off for head-butting, but he not only didn't get a send-off, but he's also got no repercussions because they want him in the finals. Different rules for him. You can head-butt if you're Rhys Walsh. But anyway, he came back on the field and single-handedly dragged the Broncos back from 14 points down? 16 points down.

9:38Mike Minogue:And the only reason he had to... 16 points down. The only reason they went to go on point was because he missed a one-kick at goal, which hit the post. Did it hit the post? He did one. He scored a try. Yeah, I saw that. Then they went down the same side. They got trouble down that side. And then the defence stayed on Rhys Walsh because they're worried about him doing the same thing again. So he threw a cutout ball to the winger try. Which is exactly where DWZ would have jammed in. Yeah, that's right. And they would have scored. Yeah, they would do it. And then another try. I can't remember who that was.

10:12And then he missed two conversions, got the last one. Then it went to golden point. He took a drop goal from 40 metres out. It hit the crossbar. It hit the crossbar, that's right. And bounced back out. So then it was extra time, which was five minutes each way, and then golden point.

10:27Mike Minogue:And the cool thing was it was Ben Hunt, who famously in 2015 dropped a ball to lose the grand final, finally came back to the Broncos. He slotted a great drop, which only just went in. They hit the post and went off.

10:41Keyzie:Massive way out too from recollection. Yeah, it was a big way. Yeah, 39 metres.

10:44Mike Minogue:It was so poetic. It was like, this is fucking in our own. But what was amazing was Canberra was just smashing them. It was like, how much are they going to win by? And it's fucked. The quality of football. You're watching a game. Yeah. And everybody is just playing awesome. You're not worrying about it. It's not drop ball left and right. Because you're so used to watching the Warriors, and especially over the last couple of months, you're constantly worried about shit going wrong, but you're just watching two fucking unbelievable teams just being amazing. That comeback and then what was really cooked was Canberra kept on winning the game.

11:14So time was up. Oh my God, yeah. Misses it. Time's up. Canberra's celebrating. Then the ref goes, let's have a look. And he did that drop goal and somebody tried to charge down and hit his leg. Which is a massive damage. It happened to the Warriors too, didn't it? Yeah, that was Sean Johnson last year, year before last. So anyway, he got a penalty right in front. 10 metres out to even the gamer. Yeah. And then it went and said, you know, and they scored a try.

11:39Mike Minogue:And then they scored a try. And then they went back and were like, nah, no. Scored a try in golden point, but then they went back and found the tiniest of knock-ons of that. The tiniest knock-on you've ever fucking seen. So they won the game twice.

11:48Keyzie:And it was at their home ground too. How gutting. That's a bullshit rule, I reckon. You know, where if someone makes contact with the leg or something. But the reason why they did it was because some guy, it happened and a guy broke his leg. Yeah. Right. And so they brought the role in and now it's any touch whatsoever.

12:05Mike Minogue:It was the guy from the Rabbitohs, yeah. And heaps of people have been really injured from it. And so now they're like, you can't hit the leg afterwards. Which is, it's an easy thing to avoid. Yeah, fucking hell. Fucking hell. But anyway, I watched that. I watched the Melbourne game against the Dogs. That wasn't as good, but it was pretty good. Heaps of injuries.

12:23Keyzie:But Penrith was a great game. What one did I miss?

12:26Mike Minogue:You missed Sharks, Roosters. Yeah, I didn't see that one. The thing about that game, last night watching it, and we had friends over but I was watching it as well was I was just like wow the Warriors were going to get pumped by either of these two teams anyway absolutely they're just so classy and they're peaking at the right time I really I would like Canberra to win mainly I really love Ricky Stewart I've loved Cena's emotion this year but also for Josh Papaliti for him to win would be so fucking great yeah absolutely and I don't want the fucking Broncos I don't like they're great but I just don't want Reece Walsh to win it's Reece Walsh man yeah that's what I was yeah And I love how good he is.

13:01Mike Minogue:He's fucking great. I hate his guts. Joyce, Joyce, man. Pardon? What? Sorry, no, I switched off about five minutes ago. Wow, is your voice all good?

13:10Keyzie:Keezy. Don't ever use it, man.

13:12Mike Minogue:You sound a bit off, man. Hey, this is the big show, 4 to 7 weekdays, Radio Hauraki. Dude.
