In short

A comedic “disclaimer” outro for The Hauraki Big Show podcast, framed around adult/explicit banter and morning routines, plus a cold-weather anecdote and a brief mention of a daughter-related story that’s withheld from the podcast audience.

Guests/backgrounds

Hoody Jay (host) and Jake/Moggy/Jase (co-hosts/regulars). Buddy Crisp and Prebs are mentioned as station figures; Prebs is described as “programming the whole station” with headphones on.

Key claims

Don’t play this episode around kids due to explicit language/sexual jokes. Hosts trade details about waking up, working, and “beating off,” and joke about coffee cups and routines.

Notable examples

Daughter text confusion about being “there by 7,” ice on the windshield/coldest day, and the “Jase Beats Keezy Off” running gag.

0:00Keyzie:Yeah, g'day, you massive backbones. It's Hoody Jay here from the Big Show. Just to put a little disclaimer on this particular podcast. Jason's in a shocker. It's filthy as, so if you've got kids in the car, don't play it in front of them, all right? Shocker. For all you mad bastards loving the Big Show podcast, get up even closer on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. Or raw dog it. Four to seven every weekday on Radio Horeke. Oh, g'day, fellas. Jake. Hello. Good stuff, eh? That's how we do it, man. Buddy Crisp today. He wasn't a gent. Not by the time you woke up. No, I didn't wake up. Woke up at 10.

0:41Keyzie:I actually woke up quite early, Mogey, because this is classic. My daughter's dog sitting again, right? Yeah. And the lady said to her, could you be there by 7? And she was effing at Jeffing last night because.

0:57Mike Minogue:For a teenager, that's like. That's right.

0:59Keyzie:That is just heinous. And so my wife got up very early to take her to this place. And so I woke up when my wife got up. And anyway, they're driving there and my daughter texts the woman and says, I'm on my way. And she said, what do you mean? I mean seven tonight. And she was like, oh, fuck.

1:24Mike Minogue:Fuck, I was infuriating.

1:25Keyzie:Fuck. And my wife didn't want to get up at that time either, I might add. I bet she didn't. She was filthy.

1:31Mike Minogue:And so is she going around at seven tonight? Yes. And you were at home, weren't you, making love to yourself? Yeah.

1:38Keyzie:I was in my bed beating off, Keezy. Beating off, Keezy. No, you weren't. I remember that. I wasn't, actually. I'd pay to see that. I don't know how you guys are, but I'm one of those people that once I wake up, I cannot stay in bed. I can't do it. I have to get up.

1:58Mike Minogue:I'll stay in bed. If I've got nothing on, I'll stay in bed. You'll get beaten off by Hoody Jay. Once I've been beaten off by Hoody Jay and he sort of makes himself scarce.

2:07Keyzie:I get a little towel and wipe my hands, then you get up.

2:10Mike Minogue:Then I'll lie in bed in a sort of pool of my own fill for about 20 minutes on Instagram there. Yeah. And then I go, ah, fuck this, and then get up. Yeah. But not lately, fellas, because I've been working. I'm a working boy.

2:21Keyzie:But I'm serious, though. I mean, once you wake up, do you get up or do you? Depends. I've had a few wake-ups over the last week or so where I wake up about 4.30 or 5.00. Yes. And I've actually gone back to sleep. Yeah, that's good. Which is very nice because the wife's not working. And so that's been good. But this morning I woke up at 4.30, stay there and then got up at 5.00. And did a little bit of work. Because my wife's like that. But I like it. I like it. Yeah, my wife wakes up and can go and make a cup of coffee or something. Yeah. And then just be in bed for an hour and a half reading. Oh, I can't do that.

2:55Keyzie:I can't do it. Nah. I don't know. I just get angsty. Yeah, same. Got to get out and about, man. Yeah, and I got to get my blood flowing. I get up. I put my PJs on because I sleep nude, Keezy. So do I. Just rage. Do you? And put on my PJs. Then I go into the office, turn the little heater on there and the lamp. Then I go out into the lounge there, turn the heat pump on. Yes. Then I go into the old kitchen there and I make myself a piece of toast, Keezy. or piece of toast and a stovetop coffee and into the office I go.

3:28Mike Minogue:Fuck, that's boring. You love that? Into the office, but it'll work the rest of the day. Come see the film. I get up. It's funny, isn't it? I fucking love it. That's great. I can't wait to see what's coming. What little stuff am I doing on my little computer there? But that's the thing. You're working on something exciting. Wow. Yeah, no. You're building something. You love it and you're invested in it. You're working on something you hate. Whereas I'm working on something that I don't really hate it. However, you're getting paid. I am getting paid. Yeah, that's the difference. But I don't hate it at all.

3:55Mike Minogue:I've just, I don't have, I'm not getting that dopamine thing of like, oh, I've contributed, because it's gone, because I've done it so many. Not everything is going to be, you know, there's certain levels of things. Some stuff is writing for, you know, a national TV show, Commonwealth Games. Coverage. You know, so it's. Then you've got Horty J jerking you off. And not everything can be as good as that. But that's the thing, because he does that every morning, I'm chasing that high for the rest of the day.

4:22Keyzie:I was actually thinking about that, Keezy. Can we just make it Monday, Wednesday, Friday?

4:31Mike Minogue:What the fuck am I going to do Tuesday, Thursday, hitting pugs up? Get old pugs for a rubbing pug. He's not going to do it. The Horaki Beach Show, weekdays from four on Radio Horaki. Oh, g'day, mate. Oh, hi, mate. Yeah. Look, if you want the chance to win all our on-air competitions and stuff and get amongst the live conversation, tune in to the Hauraki Big Show, four to seven weekdays on Radio Hauraki and iHeartRadio. The Hauraki Big Show podcast. This is my morning routine.

5:07Keyzie:Oh, here we go. I get up.

5:08Mike Minogue:Beat Keezy off. I beat Keezy off. I burn my wife's coffee.

5:12Keyzie:Then I sit on the side of the bed. Get a huru of the mood. I sit on the side of the bed and I go, and then I've got my t-shirt on and my undies. So I walk over, I put my trackies on and my sweatshirt and my uggies. I'm the same, track pants. And sweatshirt, uggies. Sweatshirt, same that to me, same combo. Then I get out to the kitchen, turn the light on, put the gas heater on and then I'm like. And then I make it, you know, get the stovetop coffee ready, put that on. Yep. I put that on. I go to the curtains in the lounge. I pull those open. Oh, yeah, yeah, good. And I'm like, ah. And I stare at the people walking up and down for a little while.

6:02Mike Minogue:And you look at your to-do list. It says, big show, 3 p.m. meetup. And you look at your watch, and it says 7 a.m.

6:08Keyzie:And then the coffee's going, gurgle, gurgle. And then you come in here, and you say, I've had a busy day. And then I make a coffee, and I take it to my wife.

6:17Mike Minogue:You take it to her.

6:18Keyzie:Casey, come on, man. What?

6:23Mike Minogue:That's the line. When you take it to your wife, is it in just a mug, regular mug, or like a travel mug?

6:30Keyzie:Well, we've only got a small stovetop.

6:33Mike Minogue:Have you?

6:33Keyzie:So we've got these two ceramic.

6:36Mike Minogue:Like tulip cups?

6:37Keyzie:No, they're small. They're like pottery cups. Like high balls. But, you know, high gloves. A couple of little shitters. They're very nice. They're very nice. Are they called Toby Jugs? Actually, my wife bought them in Australia randomly. She saw them and went, they're very cool. Are they jugs? No, they're just little. Are they nice jugs? They don't have handles on them. They're just little. Do they have a spout on them? No.

7:01Mike Minogue:Okay.

7:05Mike Minogue:It's quite funny for the audience. Mogi came in today and Prebs, who's a straight shooter. And Mogi was just putting on a clinic in filth. And he was loving it. Oh, Prebs was loving it. Well, he doesn't get a lot of joy in his life. Well, I don't know. Not just coming in, because he's there all day by himself with his headphones on, really. Yes. And he's programming the whole station. He's a straight shooter. He's listening to his tunes and that, but he's got no one coming in going, suck it on a big fat car.

7:35Keyzie:This is going to be a disclaimer, right? Obviously. If you go and play that in front of your kids, this is not a country I want to grow up in. Funny story about my daughter today, which I'll say on the radio show. Well, I'm old now, I guess. Very funny. Oh, yeah, that is a funny one. When I read it, I thought, that rings true. Yes. That rings true. And I think I've said it. How did she feel about that?

7:58Keyzie:She, not good. No. But what she did say to them was, well, I'm really glad that there is a place like that for people to go to, but I live just there. She was literally just down the road from the apartment. but she had her boyfriend with her too, so. Oh, that's so good though, isn't it? Well, that might shake something loose. Yeah, she might. Well, you know, because I'm not going to get into it. No, don't get into it.

8:27Mike Minogue:Do we have to say here for the podcast listeners what you're talking about? No, they have to listen to the show to find out what we're talking about. Totally, man, totally. That's a beauty.

8:34Keyzie:Actually, I don't know if I can say it on the show. I don't know how she, I better give her permission. My feeling was when I read it, I was like, that rings true, but we're going to have to change that. It can't be your daughter. Yes.

8:43Mike Minogue:Yeah. So maybe it was you. Yeah, it was you.

8:47Keyzie:Yeah, it wouldn't ring true, though, because I'm really styly.

8:50Mike Minogue:Yeah, right, right. Fuck.

8:53Keyzie:And that was how I was saying emoji, you know, because we were talking yesterday. Apparently today's meant to be the coldest day of the year. Yeah, what is the guts for that? So I went for my morning walk and rugged up.

9:03Mike Minogue:It was fucking cold this morning. Yeah, but I went for about 9.30.

9:08Keyzie:Oh, no, not by then.

9:09Mike Minogue:I was steaming. No, it's the overnight low. There was ice on my windshield. It was absolutely freight. Well, look at that. There you go. Snow overnight there was this morning. It was fucking cold. It was the coldest it's been. But Jase was hot. Yeah, Jase was hot.

9:25Keyzie:Well, I was beating Keezy off. Yeah.

9:28Mike Minogue:And you just drunk from your wife's amazing Australian jugs.

9:32Keyzie:They're not jugs, Keezy. They're cups.

9:35Mike Minogue:Right. Okay.

9:37Keyzie:All right?

9:38Mike Minogue:Okay. I mean, it's just we're chilling, man. It's chill.

9:43Keyzie:What's your morning routine, Keezy? You wake up, you get beaten off by me.

9:47Mike Minogue:So I wake up to my wife getting ready. Yes. And I say to her, can you open the curtains, please, every morning because... She never remembers. Because she never... And then, boom, the curtains are open, and that's at about seven. But I stay asleep until like half seven. Just snoozing. And then my wife gives me a kiss and says bye, and then walks off, and then I hear her... What kind of a kiss? Just a kiss on the lips. Yeah. And then I hear her, and I go, who is that?

10:12Keyzie:I can vouch for that, by the way, Moggy. Because I'm there, of course. Just forgot who keys. It's me, Hoody J.

10:17Mike Minogue:I'm here to beat you off. And then I'm like, oh, yeah, yeah. Just open the garage door for you. I push the order button. Yeah. He comes in through the garage door. I heard that you just stick your downstairs out the cat door. I don't have a cat flat, Moggy. And old Hoody J just dishes one out. Ew, Jason's doing a hand gesture, and it's not very nice. All right, then. I'll be off. Okay Good on you Keezy Alright then See you at work Good job brother Maybe a disclaimer on this one You reckon?
