0:02Keyzie:For all you mad bastards loving the Big Show podcast, get up even closer on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. Or Raw Dog It. 4 to 7 every weekday on Radio Horek. Oh, g'day fellas!
0:23Mike Minogue:Good stuff fellas. Okay, yeah. Monday, eh? Oh, that came around quick. Yeah, it did. Fucking hell.
0:30Keyzie:Yes, so am I, actually. You're tired today.
0:33Mike Minogue:Last night after the come dine with me festivities, you guys sent a lovely thank you message. My wife and I were both already fast asleep. It was at about 9 p.m. Yeah. Fuck it. I was so gassed when I got home. Yeah.
0:46Keyzie:Yes. Isn't it funny? I actually went to bed quite late. Did you? And I got up to watch the rugby live, which was 3, and we weren't planning on doing that, but we both woke up at the same time. And then we went back to bed, but I couldn't fall back to sleep.
1:02Mike Minogue:There's no way you could sleep thinking about coming home with the feathers.
1:05Keyzie:Especially after you punched a couple of coffees. You would have been a nervous wreck, were you, yesterday? No, I was just, I had moments of what am I doing? Yeah, I saw some of those moments. What am I doing here?
1:20Mike Minogue:Me and Moggy witnessed a hilarious one. You with the duck fat? Oh, yeah. So like Jason's standing in front of the oven. He cuts the top off a packet of duck fat. Can I just paint a picture and say that the layout of the apartment, I was quite lucky at my place because where people were hanging out was not in plain view of the kitchen. There's a big fireplace in the way. And I'm very, very happy about that. And that was not the case with your place, Jase. You could see everything that was going on in there should you choose to. Yeah, and me and Mogi were watching it. So you cut the – Try and open the packet.
1:50Mike Minogue:You cut the top of the packet of duck fat, went to pour it in, but then realised that there was another packet inside the packet. Yes. Pulled that out, cut the top completely off that, which is like a little bladder of duck fat. Yes. Poured half of it in and then put that back in the bigger packet and then walked around with the big packet for a while, opened the fridge and then closed the fridge and still had the big packet, put it on the breakfast bar and then walked away, then came back, picked it up and put it back to where you were. Yeah. And I was just watching like, where's he going to put that duck fat?
2:20Yeah, exactly.
2:21Keyzie:Fuck, it was good. It wasn't resealable, I don't think, that smaller packet. So that's why I put it back. Back in the bigger packet. Yeah, like 40 minutes before you guys arrived, because it was all planned timing-wise, but then it was like... The deadline looms. It loomed, but certain things weren't happening at certain times, so we had to improvise. You could have cut the tension with a knife when you walked through the door. Well, you were there first. We drove past you.
2:48Mike Minogue:You were there at 2.03 or whatever it was.
2:50Keyzie:Yeah, that's right. Hammering on the door. Over the bloody door! Yeah, it was great fun, wasn't it? Yes. Had a lovely time.
2:57Mike Minogue:Yes, indeed. Always good. Two more to go, though, fellas. How good is that? That's lovely. Yeah, looking forward to it. It'll be good. So my wife is deep in planning mode. Is she? Deep. Yeah. The toughest thing for her is the entertainment because she's very into cooking. Yes. But it's the entertainment part. She's like, what are we going to do? And I'm like, that's fine. We'll be fine. Yeah. We'll figure something. It'll be sweet. I can't wait. Yeah. I can't wait for that. We might do -
3:23Keyzie:It's me with me. Keezy
3:27Mike Minogue:It's me with me Keezy And then what? Yeah That's the thing We don't know We don't know what it is That's a surprise isn't it That's the good stuff Something with me Keezy Could be funny It sort of feels like Some kind of a Ballroom dance Or you know Something like that

4:18Mike Minogue:That'll do Excellent It actually would do The Hauraki Big Show, weekdays from four on Radio Hauraki.
4:29Keyzie:Now that's good listening. And it's live. What are you listening to there?
4:35Mike Minogue:Oh, me? Oh, sorry. I was listening to the Radio Hauraki Big Show. Right. Four to seven weekdays. Yeah, that's quite specific. And I heart radio. Wado. Cheers.
4:51Keyzie:The Hauraki Big Show Podcast But yes, the weekend has come around very quickly and now it's Monday I mean, I love a Monday I mean, it's got a whole week of big shows Five big shows, yeah You know what I mean? Does anyone know off the top of their head? I don't know
5:16Mike Minogue:Hey Siri, when's daylight savings? She's not talking to you. Balance saving is Sunday the 4th. Oh, wait. Ends Sunday the 4th of April. Begins Sunday the 27th of September. So we're still a month away. A day before my birthday.
5:30Keyzie:How perfect. There he is. We can all go out for a twilight hot pot.
5:36Mike Minogue:They don't have tables outside. We'd have to get a takeaway. And just have a picnic. We'd just sit and out here square. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you know I'm already racking my brain as to how I'm going to have a hot pot this week? Yeah
5:49Keyzie:I'm booking one in Because it's in a spot
5:51Mike Minogue:Inaccessible to me Yes It's by your house But for me It's like I have to park And walk 10 minutes To get a hot pot Really Yeah it's like Down way Over Queen Street Yeah It's not way
6:02Keyzie:It'll take you 10 minutes to walk there man Yeah That's what he said
6:06Mike Minogue:You're a fit Fit young man Fit healthy young buck Fit young man Who wants a hot pot Actually

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I was done and dusted. And I've been sweet all day. It's only when I've got hair. Well, that'll be what it is. You had a good sleep. Well, I had a good – no, well, I've been fine until I've got hair.
6:56Right. But it's that time of day, isn't it? And I've done – been big on my steps, Jay, so I'm all about it now, man. Good on you, mate. I'm going to be a step punisher. Yes. Like Horty J, and we can do our daily step updates. How does that sound? What did you do today? Well, this morning – so what I'm trying to do is get up earlier, get my wife out of the house and go for a walk, drop the kid off at school and then do a big circuit. Yeah. Because my wife's similar to me in that if she gets in front of her computer, that's it, you can forget about it. She's not going anywhere for the day. Yes. So I'm just going to make a habit out of that and then walk to work, walk here and walk home each day.
7:29Today I have done 8 ,000 so far. That's good, man. That's way more than me.
7:33Mike Minogue:I've done 3 ,500. So plus my walk home, I'll be at my 10. Yes, we do. What about when you get your hog, though? Get my hog out. Oh, yeah. When does that happen? It doesn't turn up until October. All right. So I've got a bit of time yet.
7:47Keyzie:That's going to be great.

7:51Keyzie:How many sets are you, Jase? I've had a very quiet thing on the set front today, I think.
7:56Mike Minogue:It's going to be embarrassing, this. There we go. Is that a shocker? I have. Oh, God. To be fair, the day after, man, you're just on the couch going, oh, absolutely wiped.
8:06Keyzie:4 ,617. More than me. And I've got to walk home again. What's your average though? Does it tell you what your average is? It's about just light. Does it tell you what your average is though? Yeah. I don't know if mine does. If you scroll down, it's on your health, Kesey. Yeah, I'm on health. Yeah, if you keep scrolling down, it gets to highlights, for me anyway. It says you're walking more than you do on a typical day. My average is 3 ,800.
8:30Mike Minogue:Oh, I'm in fitness. Okay, health. Here we go. This is exciting stuff.
8:36Keyzie:It is exciting stuff. Nah, it's good, man. Now, I'll tell you what I know is I know that step punishers are punishing, but now that I've become one, it's interesting to me. My average is just under 4 ,000 steps. That's not a lot. That's not bad. That's more than me. That's more than me. I'm 3 ,800 is my average.
8:52Mike Minogue:But you can see the days I play golf. Yeah. Boom through the roof. Through the roof.
8:57Keyzie:Moles of the shit. It's hard. I can't find my average. Yeah. But from recollection, it was just shy of 10 ,000.
9:08Mike Minogue:Right.
9:09Keyzie:There he is.
9:11Mike Minogue:Should we all walk to Hot Pot? Hot Pot, baby. What, tonight? Just whenever.
9:17Keyzie:Yeah, I think so. This podcast feels like it's taken an hour so far. Wednesday. Should we Hot Pot Wednesday? No, because I'm Hot Potting Tuesday with my wife. I've got a voucher to Hot Pot with you.
9:29Mike Minogue:No, she's got a voucher to Hot Pot with me. She took it off you and –
9:33Keyzie:Yeah, that's right. And I was like, old hoody Jay will come along. I was like, nah, nah.
9:37Mike Minogue:Nah, it's just me and your wife having a hot pot. Yeah. Yeah, good. If you don't know what we're talking about, more info in the show today. More info in the show proper. Yeah, because Wednesday I've got a thing after the show, but I've emailed them – You've possibly got another thing. On the Wednesday night. Remember, I've got that thing on Wednesday night until 9 p.m. in town there. Oh, yes, that's right. And I've said to them, look, I do a radio show. I'll get there at about 7. because I've been to a lot of those sort of things. You don't have to be there the whole time. And I'm like, if I can get out there, you know, maybe get there 7.30 and sneak in a little hot pot.
10:09Mike Minogue:But I don't think I'll be able to, though. I don't think I'll be able to. Nah. Yeah. Got to get out there a little bit early because I'm going with you to that thing. Yeah, okay. Get there early. Early in, early out, fellas. Fucking Moogie just stop me having a hot pot. Are you going to this thing as well, are you?
10:24Keyzie:Yeah, we're all going. I am. The whole team. Oh, the whole team. Everybody's doing it. a hot pot restaurant in town.
10:29Mike Minogue:Yeah. I didn't think you'd be keen. They want us to be the ambassadors. Yeah. Okay, yeah, cool. And apparently it sucks because we have to go there and do a little bit of a chat, but then we get free hot pot for the rest of the year. Oh, the rest of our lives, yeah. The rest of our lives, is it? Yeah, it's not bad. Yeah, I mean, I'd rather get paid, but I guess free hot pot. Oh, you can't beat that. Good stuff. We did it, fellas. If that hot pot brand was like, we need a New Zealand ambassador, would you do it? Yeah, totally. Fuck, I 100%.
10:56Keyzie:I fucking definitely would.
10:58Mike Minogue:Have you seen the episode of The Simpsons where Homer is Mr. Suds in Japan? He's that deodorant. Oh, yeah. That would be like Jace for the hot pot. Yeah. That'd be fucking good. Excellent. Listen to the big show, four to seven weekdays, Radio Haraki. Yeah, man.
