In short

Episode topic: Dr. Nayan Patel discusses chronic stress, oxidative stress (“oxygen stress”), glutathione depletion, and his mission to help people live healthier longer via Aura Wellness skincare/technology.

Guest background

Dr. Nayan Patel is a pharmacist and doctor, internationally recognized for advanced biochemistry and antioxidant science. He works primarily with physicians (training them to select solutions). He authored The Glutathione Revolution and is described as the “doctor of glutathione.”

Key claims

Oxidative stress is a common driver across diseases and accelerates aging; the body produces glutathione but doesn’t store excess, so blood tests may be “too late” or misleading. He says his technology can deliver glutathione through the cell membrane (13 approved patents; others pending) and shifts the body from “firefighting” to “heal and repair.”

Notable examples

A 70s cardiologist asked for glutathione after vitamin C was deemed insufficient; Patel later used his father as patient #1. He cites reports like improved singing in an autistic daughter after 7 days and reduced “floaters” in 30 days; he also claims his own face showed no sun damage at age 54 after using copper peptides.

You just want to make sure you will get knocked down, but just make sure you don't get knocked out. So your only choice should be, go focus on what you can control. Hi everyone and welcome to the Kara Goldin Show. Join me each week for inspiring conversations with some of the world's greatest leaders. We'll talk with founders, entrepreneurs, CEOs, and really some of the most interesting people of our time. Can't wait to get started. Let's go. Hi, everyone, and welcome back to the Kara Golden Show.

0:45Kara Goldin:Super excited to have my next guest here. We have Dr. Nayan Patel, and he is not only a pharmacist and a doctor, but also the founder of an incredible, incredible skincare brand called Oro Wellness. And we're going to get into all of that in a few minutes. He also wrote a book a few years back that I absolutely am obsessed with called The Glutathione Revolution. and he is known as the doctor of glutathione and I'm so curious about this so we'll definitely get into that as well but if you have ever heard of glutathione or are curious about it the so-called master of antioxidant is here with us and but if you didn't exactly know what it is you're going to learn all about this.

1:46So Dr.

1:47Kara Goldin:Patel has become internationally recognized for his work in advanced biochemistry and antioxidant science. And after years of researching how stress impacts the body at the cellular level, he founded Aura Wellness. And I am so happy he did. I absolutely love the products and cannot wait to hear more about, in his spare time, how he decided to go and launch this incredible skincare brand. So, Dr. Patel, welcome to the Cara Golden Show. So excited to have you here. Well, the excitement is mine, by the way. So, thank you for inviting me. This is amazing. So, can't wait to dive into the story because everybody has a story, right?

2:32And so, I just want to make sure that I'm here to connect with people and educate them and hopefully put them in a journey where they can tell their story one day.

2:41Kara Goldin:I love it. Well, for listeners just Just discovering Aura Wellness, how do you describe the brand and its mission? If you read my book, the first chapter of the introduction tells my mission right there. My mission is absolutely reach the world. We are a technology that can change every human being on this planet. And my goal is just flat out reach every human being on this planet and get them to experience what life is all about. We've been told that we are born, we grow up, and we die. But they never tell you that the last years before you die is absolutely nobody wants to live through that.

3:23And I want to change that forever for everybody. I want to have such a successful life for everybody that on the last day when you're about to exit this planet, that you've just been picked up from wherever you are on a golf course or the beach in the Bahamas or wherever you are, The skin being picked up and your job is done. I want that life for everybody.

3:43Kara Goldin:That's incredible. So you are a doctor. Can you talk to us a little bit about your practice and how that all came to be? I am a pharmacist by trade. I did my doctorate in pharmacy. And it's like the physicians that I work with, they mostly diagnose people what's wrong with it. They try really hard to figure out what's wrong with you. Once they find what's wrong with you, I get to go to work because my job is to find a product or a solution to get rid of that problem. And so all my clients, I only work with physicians. All my clients are physicians only, and I train them and I teach them how to find products or solutions that they're finding the problems for.

4:29And, of course, some of my clients can bypass the doctors. if they are some multi-billionaires, they'll bypass the doctor and come to me directly, but I try not to do that as much as possible. But my job is really helping those physicians find a solution for the thing they just discovered in their patients.

4:49Kara Goldin:So I read in your book all about chronic stress and how that depletes the antioxidant levels in the body. Can you talk about that and maybe how that led to really being the father of glutathione. I'll call you that. You're not calling yourself that necessarily. But I mean, I think you've put so much focus on it, which is terrific. And I'm such a big believer in glutathione myself. So a big, big believer. So let me just tell you my story from when I first graduated, because that tells me why I chose this path. As soon as I graduated from one of the top universities in the United States, and when you graduate from a top university, you know, you have this preconceived idea that you can save the world, right?

5:40And so I was one of those kids that said, you know what? I have all this knowledge. I'm going to save the world. And very soon I found out that the whole system is set up in such a way that all I was supposed to do was manage people's medication problems, not solve any problems. and goes, wait a second, I think I can help people solve the problems. I said, no, no, all you're going to do is manage people's problems for the rest of their lives. The word cure was removed from the dictionary completely. And so all I was supposed to do is manage problems. I said, okay, wait a second, that doesn't jive very well with me.

6:15So then I started looking at, and at that time I started doing compounding and started making medications for my elite clients. And in there, back in the late 90s, the word anti-aging was the most popular word. Today, there's functional medicine, integrative medicine, and you can name all these different ways of doing things. But back in 1999, the word was anti-aging. And my clients came to me and said, hey, Naya, do you have something for anti-aging? I want to live for it. I got all the money in the world, but I don't want to die. And so I looked at it and said, hey, what's the number one cause of death in the world?

6:52And if you think about it, I looked at all the diseases. there's one thing that's common amongst every single disease on this planet, one thing, and that is oxidative stress. Oxidation happens every single second in your body because you breathe oxygen, your body has all this chemical reaction, so you breathe all the time, you make all the oxygen species all the time, and these species are actually damaging your body. That's why you age progressively every single day of your life. And so my job was, hey, if I can figure out how to reduce oxygen stress down to bare minimum, enough for the body can survive, but not too much that can kill you faster.

7:34So my job was oxygen stress. And sure enough, one of the cardiologists in California came to me, and he was in his 70s at that time. I said, hey, Diane, can you do me a favor? With all the knowledge you have, can you make me a really good vitamin C product? because I hear oxygen stress is the number one killer of the world. I said, yeah, I know that part. He says, can you make me vitamin C part? And I go, vitamin C? Our body does not produce vitamin C. Our body produces glutathione. Why can't I work on glutathione? Oh, no, that's too difficult. 140 years, people have done all kinds of research.

8:09Nobody's ever figured out how to get inside your body. So let's not waste your time. Let me work on vitamin C. I said, okay, do you mind if I work on glutathione? Hey, knock yourself out. You can do whatever you want to do, but when I pay you, can you work on vitamin C for me? So I made this product for him, but back then, I started working on glutathione, and he was right. It was extremely difficult. If you inject the glutathione, it can't get inside your body, right? It can't get inside your cells. If I take any technology products like liposome technology products or capsules or inhaled solutions or some positrons, no matter what I took, it can never get inside your cell membrane.

8:47and so that's when I figured out that the reason why people are dying is because as we start aging we can never get the glutathione levels back to normal ever ever and so that was my life mission I said you know what I'm gonna figure it out I'm gonna make it happen one way or another and if I died trying, at least I died trying.

9:11Kara Goldin:So interesting. And so what did you, so what did you ultimately do for listeners who have not read the book yet without giving too much of it away? That's okay. I can give the whole book away because then you don't have to buy the book, but you can fall from a marketing plot in the book. It says 14 days plan to boost your gliothiol levels. It's not a 14 day plan. It's a lifelong journey for me. So don't get to fall for that marketing technique. But if you do fall for that part, thank you so much. But anyways, for the listeners, I want them to understand that my journey began in 2007. And I thought that was the end of my journey.

9:50And that's the beginning of the journey because in 2007, I discovered for the very first time how I can get the glutathione through Inside Your Cell membrane. Today, we have 13 patents on it approved already. I have budget patents still pending at this point. But back then, when I first discovered the way I can get inside your cell membrane, my man just went completely berserk. I said, holy mackerel, what am I going to do with this thing now, right? I had so much work to do. That's the day I started writing the book. Because that's the day I figured out, okay, I'm going to start collecting the journeys.

10:24So what I did was in 07, it was too early in the game. I had no idea what this product was supposed to do for us. for the next three or four years, I spent figuring out how much to give you, how often to give you. Am I going to get any side effects? Am I going to get any issues? And once I figured those things out, I found the dosage that I need to give to the patients. I said, okay. I call all the doctor friends. I said, hey, here's the product. Use it for your patients and send the results to me because I'm going to document every single thing. The book is all about stories that the patients have gone through in their own life that they have seen success in their life.

11:01And if it's not a panacea, it's not a cure-all, but it might as well be because oxygen stress is linked to so many different issues that people don't even think about it. I say, hey, is my problem because of oxygen stress? I said, if it is, in 30 days, you will see the results. It's that simple. If it's not, at least you know the problem is not due to oxygen stress, and you can work on something else. So sometimes it just gives you the confirmation where the problem is arising from. And so the listeners, I want them to see my journey as to from the discovery of the product for the next 14 years, what I went through it and trying on patients with working with the physicians and cut all the stories so people can appreciate my hard work and the success stories that I have over the years.

11:49And then eventually I decided, you know what, I got to get this available to the rest of the world. So that's when I first started doing that by 2021. 21.

12:00Kara Goldin:So, and OroHealth was born. I mean, from that, from sort of that ethos of, you know, trying to get the topical solution for this. So the topical, this was discovered in my pharmacy. So I have a pharmacy, a company pharmacy, then we did all the hard work over there. We discovered in 2007 and then over three or four years I figured out what the dosing was. About the time my dad got sick, So he was my patient number one. As to real patient that started using the product on a regular basis. And about two years later, I see so much success in him that I decided to launch the company at that time. Well, I formed the company.

12:43I didn't launch the product yet. I just formed the company in 2013. But it took me another nine years before I actually launched the product to the public. But I launched the company that day in the hope that one day I will make this product available to the world.

12:59Kara Goldin:So, so, so good. So you launched it, the Aura Wellness. You and I were talking about the name. Can you share a little bit about how you came up with the name? Because I think that's so terrific. So Aura is a place in India. It's an ashram. there's actually there's something called Aura Will which is a small sanctuary it's a city where in fact all the locals still work on a barter system there's no money they work on barter system it's such an amazing place to be I think it's the only place in the world that still work on barter system I'm sure there's some villages in some Amazon forest they have never seen money before so I'm sure they are there as well but this is a civilized society that your money is worthless because you have to do something to get something from somebody.

13:50But Oro is a place in India, and my dad has been a devotee of this place for decades, since the 50s. And so the name means to me, reminds me of integrity, honesty, and absolute resilience in anything you do. And so it keeps me grounded. Whenever I say the word oral, it reminds me of never to cheat anybody, always be authentic, and always do something that is absolutely profound in everybody's life. And so that name brings me those memories. So whatever I do, whatever I create is going to be earth shattering. That's the way I feel like it.

14:31Kara Goldin:So, and although you are a pharmacist, this is a product that you don't need a prescription to buy this product. And it's packaged so beautifully as well. When you decided that you were going to launch a, you've launched not only a company, but also a skincare brand. Yes. Can you talk to me about like how many SKUs did you start with? How many different products? And what does that look like today? And maybe just talk individually about each of the products that you launched. It was one SKU. One SKU. Because if something is that good, you don't need to have, you don't need to stack a whole bunch of products to get the results.

15:19One product can get the results you're looking for. So my one SKU was just the Gluton product. That's it. So that was my skincare product was a Glurathione product. And what I found out was, if you go to war and dealing with the human body is a war, right? If you go in a war, one person cannot succeed by himself, right? So you need a team of people to basically do the work, but they're not overlapping. You cannot have two cooks in one kitchen. You just cannot have that part. So then I started figuring out, I said, what do I need everything? Everything that I need, right? So I only had one product, which was a glilothion product.

16:02So I said, okay, what do I need everything? So I figured out all the chemicals that I needed to help my body with oxidative stress and rejuvenation. So I figured out I need vitamin C, CoQ10, L-carnicine. I had some resveratrol. I need some DMEs, the fish proteins. I wanted some cycloastrogenol because that helps with the DNA repairs and for telomeres lengthening. And so I said, hey, if all these products are there, right, if with my technology, I can put everything into one or two. So when I first tried, I said, okay, I want to give them two serums, which is the most profound, strongest serum, which is the glutathione serum and the vitamin C serum.

16:43and with that, I can give you two creams, which is the Rise and Revive, which is all my mitochondrial boosters, which is CoQ10, vitamin C, carnosine. So I use that as a day cream and in the evening, the Rise and Revive cream, I want to add the resveratrol and the cyclostrogenol because I want to repair any damaged DNA and so hopefully that gives a chance to buy it to protect in the morning, repair and restore it in the evening because no matter what we do, our body's going to get damaged every single day anyways. So I had to give a chance to repair all the time. It's like having your own stem cells, so to speak, on a daily basis.

17:22So those are the two creams and two serums is all I had. That's it. So the four SKUs, and eventually I put one of the SKUs, which is my Glutathine serum, also as a wellness product for people because I want people to just use that one product for having a profound impact. And it mainly was for my physician. So I'm a doctor who wanted this one product as a professional line. So as of right now, we have five SKUs now because of that.

17:52Kara Goldin:They're amazing. And what are consumers telling you about the results as well? So because it's with your brochure that is attached to it too. I mean, it's quite amazing. so the results are i wish i wish i can i can tell you every single thing i get every day some of the claims i get from people that are just like oh my god you had this profound impact on your life i can't share with people because it becomes a drug right it's just so it's so sad because it's not that the gluten is doing all this work is only thing it's doing is reducing your oxygen stress down and reducing all the toxic load in your liver.

18:35But by doing so, your body goes into this repaired, rejuvenated mode that people have got rid of the diabetes. People have got rid of the triglycerides. People have done some amazing results that share with me. I had a mom that called me crying, saying that my daughter is singing for the first time in seven days after using your product. And she was autistic. I had one of the ophthalmology surgeons he's also a neurosurgeon he had the flotas in his eyes and he said the flotas went up in 30 days or less I said, Glitter doesn't do any of those things but what he does is that he does the number one, number two job for your body so the body is freed up to do all the work imagine in your own company all of your audience, I'm assuming they run a business in all your businesses if the number one, number two job is done, which is bring in the sales and fulfill all the orders.

19:31If those two things are done all the time, guess what? It frees you up to do the rest of the work. Repair the team, rebuild the team, make it robust, get more out there. You can do a lot more work. But if you're always in the firefighting mode, trying to put out all the fires every single day, you'll never grow your business. You'll never do it. In fact, most people will die in the firefighting mode, right? So I want to get my body out of the firefighting mode into heal and repair. And that's what the glutathione does. And when the stories comes in every morning, like I had a lady today, she said this big order, I just got my second ship in it and I have L-O-V-E in capital quotation mark.

20:17I love the products. It has changed my life. I don't know what it changed yet because I would reach out to her today again. But I get these messages every single day. And I'm so blessed that I get to see this thing. And that's one of the reasons, if you read my introduction, my father was my inspiration. He said, hey, Nayan, this product, and I'll tell you my father's story too, why he was so adamant about me doing what I'm doing today. This thing is going to change people's lives. It's changed my life. and I want to make sure you promise me one thing. You do whatever it takes to reach the world and make sure everybody has access to this product because it is unknowingly, it's going to help so many people that they're just going to bless you with all the blessings.

21:05You won't need money in the future. What you need is blessings and that's what you're going to get.

21:11Kara Goldin:So beyond that ingredient, and I know you talked about different ingredients that you're mixing with Aura, But you also have copper peptides and some other amazing, amazing things in there. Is there anything else, any other ingredient that is just maybe a little under the radar, but is just amazing? So copper peptide, we just launched in November 2025. And four years, it was in my lab, four years. I was, you know, my brain works a little differently. I'm a pharmacist. I'm always looking to heal a problem, right? I was not looking for skincare. I was not looking for skincare. I was for tissue repairs, joint repairs.

21:55There's so much other benefits. So I was trying to help the body do all the repair work because once the oxygen stress is down, how can I help the body go into repair mode? So I was always thinking about repair, repair, repair, and say, how can I aid my body? There's stem cell signaling molecules. But stem cells is like mother-in-law that's telling you what to do. They're not doing all the repair by itself. They're telling your body to repair. But it needs ingredients to repair. What if I tell you a handyman, go to my house and fix the wall. I said, I can fix the wall, but I need some drywall sheets.

22:29I need some nails. I need all this stuff. I don't have all the building blocks. So I go look back. I said, hey, what are the building blocks? That's where the GHK came into my place because the plasma, all your plasma, as it gets older, the body will build a new plasma. The oil gets discarded and dumped it away. The body says, hey, wait a second, don't dump everything. I'll piss it off. I'll take some of the GHK out of it and I'll use that into my other parts of the body to fix it. So the body has its own recycling plant. The GHK combines with the copper and gets lodged into soft tissues, your joints, your skin, all those places.

23:11And so I said, wait a second. If I can get GHK back into the body, I can trigger all those things. So last year, I was at an event. I started using the product about a year ago, myself personally. I wasn't trying to launch the company yet, the product yet. I was at an event, and they gave me an award for the best technology of the world award, something like that. But anyways, I was, and they scanned my face, and they asked me, what products do you take? I said, the copper peptide and my face cream. That's what I take. Nothing else. No sunscreen, no sunblock. I'm in California, always sunny out here.

23:46I'm bald. So I get sunburned all the time, but not really. But anyways, but so, he goes, oh, amazing. Let me show you your face. They take a picture. They didn't believe the picture first time. So they discarded the picture. They take a second picture. Same results comes in. I said, oh my God, I did not have a single dot of sun damage spot on my whole face and my head. Anyway. And the lady goes, I've never seen this before. My tracks on my lips didn't exist. My crow's feet is, I'm 54 years old and nothing on my face. That's the day I come back from the event. I told my marketing team, I said, hey, we have a new product to launch.

24:25It's a copper peptide. And she goes, oh my God, it's about time. I've been telling you for two years. This is an amazing skincare product. But until I saw it on my own cell, I was already released a product yet. So it took me 10 months, but then I released a product in November of 2025. So if a consumer is trying to figure out if they are low in glutathione levels, do you see something?

24:54Kara Goldin:I mean, you mentioned like sun damage and things like that. Do you see something in somebody's face or can you do a blood test? I mean, what can you do to find out about that? So let me just tell you flat out, by the time you pick up in a test or a scan or anything else from a doctor's office, you're about 15, 20 years too late. So I don't want you to put all the faith and trust in some tests. By the way, we need the tests because we don't have no idea what to fix if you don't know what's wrong with us. But I'm telling you right now that starting at the age of 28, 29, Now we have all these AI models.

25:32We are trying to figure out all those human mapping studies are done. We have all this massive database that's telling us at the age of 28, 29 is the very first time your body is accelerating in the aging process. Until the time you're basically a flatline. You're not aging at all. You're flatline. You're aging a little bit, but nothing crazy. At 28, 29, it's going crazy for the first time. And nobody could figure out what was going on until now. Now we know that the reason they're phasing is because the genetic markers are moving, because of oxidative stress is increasing, the mutations are also increasing.

26:12So if you are 20, 29, I can literally Ziploc you, vacuum pack you, and preserve you as is for the rest, I don't know how many years, as long as you can bring oxidative stress down to their minimum with glyphosate. ion. If we are 40 years of age, which this is when the first time you notice the oxygen stress has changed your metabolic panel, right, or your markers have been getting bad, it's about the age of 40-ish is when we first see it. But that's 12, 13 years of damage has already happened. So, by the time you do a blood test and you find out, oh, I have lower glutathione, you have about minimum 12 to 13 years in the in the worst case scenario, you're probably about 15 or 20 years too late because that's when you find out that there's a problem with you.

27:04And by the way, I give this example all the time. Kara, if you have a$5 ,000 expense on a monthly basis and you make$5 ,000 a month, how much money you have left over? Zero.

27:19Kara Goldin:Zero. Right? Right. If you go for another year or five years or 10 years or 40 years, how much money you have left over? Still zero. because whatever your expenses are is all you make. So the gliothione, the body only produces enough for you to survive. There's no excess of storage of gliothione. The only thing the body stores is the oxidized form of gliothione, which is not the correct form of gliothione, but the body will take the oxidized form of gliothione, get it reduced, and use it up again. So there's no excess storage of gliothione. Okay? So what I'm trying to say is that stop looking for some blood tests is going to tell you, by the time you do a blood test for glutathione, the levels could be high, and you use a false sense of security.

28:02The levels could be low, and you think you have low glutathione, but they may not be true, because your body is using up on a regular basis because you're breathing oxygen every single second. So it's hard being using up. So it's very hard to identify. Only thing that we do know with oxidative stress levels are rising, your metabolism is changing, Your genetic code is changing, and that's the aging process starting. Now we already know what the age is. So if you're 25 years of age, you don't need to supplement anything. Just have a diet. In my book, there's a diet plan to have you boost your gluten levels naturally.

28:42Follow that. But once you're 28, 29, or 30, by all means, gluten is going to be the best thing that you can do for you to preserve your youth right now. I wish I had that.

On today’s episode, we welcome Dr. Nayan Patel, Founder of Auro Wellness — the science-driven wellness and skincare brand centered on the power of topical glutathione, often called the body’s “master antioxidant.” A pharmacist with more than 30 years of experience in advanced biochemistry, Dr. Patel has dedicated his career to understanding how oxidative stress impacts the body and how to support cellular health more effectively.
In this conversation, we explore why glutathione plays such a critical role in detoxification, energy, and healthy aging — and why traditional delivery methods often fall short. Dr. Patel shares the science behind Auro’s patented antioxidant delivery system, how topical application can improve absorption, and why internal health and external beauty are deeply connected. We also discuss misconceptions around detox, the future of longevity science, and what it takes to build a brand rooted in rigorous research. A thoughtful episode for anyone interested in cellular health, innovation, and science-backed wellness.
