In short

Guests debate “best” conspiracy theories and which ones they think are true, including UFOs/UAPs, moon landings, glyphosate and cancer, mask/COVID transmission, social distancing, and election integrity (2020, January 6, voter fraud). They also discuss Epstein’s death, JFK assassination, deep-state claims, and media bias.

Guests (backgrounds)

Multiple guests appear, including one who works with/asks Elon Musk’s SpaceX team; a guest with experience prosecuting voter fraud; and others with political/DC and intelligence-adjacent viewpoints. One guest frames alien belief as religious; another cites personal experiences at a military base in Ohio.

Key claims

Moon landings were real (some) vs staged/Photoshopped (others). UFOs/UAPs are real; aliens may exist. Glyphosate causes cancer; masks/social distancing didn’t stop respiratory illness/COVID spread. 2020 election stolen (some), with “legal vs illegal” nuance (others). Epstein was murdered, not suicide. JFK likely involved more than a lone gunman.

Notable examples

“Neil Armstrong”/“alien” wordplay; golf on the moon; UFO sightings near a long-running restricted area at an Ohio base; bat/pangolin origin of COVID framed as now accepted fact; shredded documents and mismatched autopsy cited for Epstein.

0:09And we're back, sitting in crisscross applesauce in a different living room. Welcome to this week's episode of the Katie Miller Podcast, where we're going to break down everyone's favorite conspiracy theory. If you haven't noticed in all of our recent episodes, we've asked all of my guests what their favorite conspiracy theory is. Most often, we've heard about the moon, but there's so many other unique ones that it's worth resharing. While I'm on maternity leave taking care of my new baby, please enjoy this new episode. Which conspiracy theories haven't come true at this point? We've run out of conspiracy theories that, because it will come true.

0:44as far as I can tell. I mean, I don't know of any aliens. People always ask me if there are aliens. I have seen no evidence of aliens. No one on the SpaceX senior team has any evidence of aliens, because I've asked the team, like, guys, am I missing something? Has anyone on the team, has anyone seen any evidence of aliens? Does that include UFOs? That's just an unidentified blank object. So UFOs, it could be like some new weapons program or whatever that's, you know, some hypersonic missile or something like that. That would be technically a UFO, but it's just basically some weapons prototype.

1:35It's not like aliens. So, although Neil Armstrong, Neil A, spelled backwards as alien. Coincidence?

1:48You believe we actually went to the moon, though? Yes, we went to the moon a few times, actually, and played golf on the moon. We didn't just go to the moon. We actually got a little bored and started playing golf on the moon. But why didn't the flag move? There's like that conspiracy theory. That was the jump the chalk moment. About the flag? No, the plane gulf on the moon. Oh, okay. You know, they literally did. No, I understand that. Yeah, yeah. Wacked a golf ball on the moon. Is there, there's no gravity though, right? There is gravity, one-sixth. If it wasn't gravity, it would just float away.

2:24There's no atmosphere. Okay, fair. But there is one-sixth gravity. What's a conspiracy theory that you believe in? Well, I believe that glyphosate causes cancer. I believe that masks, that there's no scientific evidence that masks prevent the transmission of, or inhibit it all, the transmission of respiratory illnesses. I don't think the COVID vaccine prevented transmission. All of those were ones. And I don't think social distancing worked. All of those things were conspiracy theories at one point when I first started talking about them. And they're now pretty much validated and acknowledged by all of the power centers of our society.

3:26I think they're UFOs. I think it's mathematically at this point inconceivable. Do you know what I mean by this? I do. I asked Elon this question specifically in the podcast, and he claims that there's no UFOs. I think it's mathematically implausible. I typically believe Elon on these things. It's mathematically implausible that there are none, though. But it's physically plausible just because of gravity. It's physically plausible that they may have burned up or we only have fragments. But it's mathematically implausible that as vast as the universe is, it's not as if many trillion light years away.

4:05It is also 2026. Do you know what I mean by that? They've been evolving at a very different rate of speed. Okay. I think it's a limited one. If I had to go with your fun one, because we are protected by the moon, there's so many aspects that might make what you're saying 50 % probable, 50 %... With my ignorance level, I would say that there's a high probability that you're wrong. You know, like other conspiracy theories, like did we actually land a man on the moon? Did the president get the elections? I don't think we landed on the moon. You don't? No. I asked Elon this one. He said we did indeed land on the moon.

4:44I think we have to pass this AVAC because there's lots of cheating going on in the voting that we need to fix. And the people are very naive about why this is true. Conspiracy theory. Nothing's top of mind for me on conspiracy theories. I live a closeted life where I hardly— Do you want me to give you some conspiracy theories? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Did we land on the moon? Oh, yeah, for sure. Are there UFOs? No, I don't think so. I think a lot of those are probably just drones and things that visually look a little bit odd on camera. Does glyphosate cause cancer? Does what kind of? Glyphosate. This is the, this is the, um, I would, I would have to read.

5:20My friend's the CEO. I'm just kidding. No, no, I would have to, I would have to read more of the, I, I feel like any conspiracy theory, you, you have to, um, you have to go online or you have to go get some books and you have to read about it before you make a flash. That, that, that. Was the election in 2020 stolen? I don't think so. I think it was. See, this is where we're different. See, was the FBI involved in January 6th? Like, I can keep going on conspiracy theories all day. For the 2020 election, that I think it comes down to, was it stolen in a legal way or not? I think I would fall on the side of, there was no legal action, but it could have been legal means that I think perhaps we should change certain aspects of our voting system so that they're no longer legal, shall we say.

6:00Yeah, and then, yeah, on January 6th, I don't think everyone behaved as well as they should, but I definitely think the deep state was also involved in making it worse than it was. What's a conspiracy theory that you believe in? I can't answer that there are just way too many of them go through like your top three no you answer that so we're at dinner with Secretary Lutnick at his house and Marco back to Marco starts talking about something that actually is an area that I have a tremendous amount of interest his game plan was to get no it was a joke it was just please this is not serious at all this was Marco's sense of humor we've been on a trip to Arizona on Air Force One and he wanted the plane to land for just 10 minutes.

6:43Don't do anything, just land for 10 minutes and take off. And the press pull in the back would go crazy thinking some, you know, incredibly dangerous, you know, alien device had been loaded onto the plane. And we were just joking about what impact it would have on the world as people try to make sense of this. So that is actually an area I do have some concerns about. It's statistically unlikely we're the only sentient beings in the universe. What do the other ones look like? Are they watching us? Are they not actually at our level? That's something that I do spend quite a bit of time on. I don't think it'd be plausible that we're the only, only thinking creatures out there.

7:24Yeah, my biggest one was, and it's not even a conspiracy anymore, was the idea that a bat and a pangolin couldn't possibly actually have produced, you know, COVID-19. But that was, I don't think that's a conspiracy theory anymore. No, it's accepted as fact.

7:42well obviously the deep state is real

7:48which are the conspiracy theories I'm very interested what the stuff that's going about Nixon and how he was actually done over and I think that's true you know who gave the best answer to you on that if it's a conspiracy theory it's probably likely true yeah I actually believe there's probably life from beyond. I mean, but this is more a religious view. You know, we were not as human beings designed to understand the absolute majesty of God's creation. You can barely comprehend it. Every night I try to look at the stars, I try to look at the moon, and you know, I have a telescope, I just, something that I, like a little side passion I have.

8:35I love to stare at sunrises and sunsets, but to know now as science takes us further and there are universes within universes within universes, it doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that we don't have life on other planets. It's talking about life here. So that, I believe, is probably true. I suppose a lot of people would say that it's a conspiracy theory to think all these newsrooms are. you know, far left political operations masquerading as news outlets, but I believe that. What's a conspiracy theory that you believe in? I think there are aliens. Do you really? I do. I think there are... Like here, outer space?

9:21I think there are... There is life beyond this planet. And I think that they may be able to see what we do. Are there UFOs? Perhaps. Did we go to the moon? Of course. Okay. Those typically tie together for people. Of course. And are we gonna go to the moon again? Yes. Has aliens ever visited the Earth? I don't know that. Okay. I don't know. I do think there's some beings out there, though. I don't know what they are, what they look like. Ooh. We had a couple earlier today. Uh.

10:06No, did we go to the moon? Kim says she does not believe we went to the moon. Did we go to the moon? I don't think we went to the moon. I think that might have been like some Photoshop. Neil Armstrong, like shout out him and his family, but I don't think he went to the moon. I think that was, might have been like - Are UFOs real? UFOs are definitely real. I definitely believe in UFOs. because I remember with the Cavs preseason, we went to a Navy base or an Army base in Dane, Ohio and there was a place that was sectioned off that said like in construction. I remember I asked the gentleman there, I said, how long has it been construction for?

10:40He said, it's been there since I've been working. I said, how long have you been working there? He said, 20 years. I said, oh, no, no, no, no. There's something there. So I definitely believe in UFOs. I definitely believe in aliens. Did Jeffrey Epstein commit suicide?

10:53Like I can go deep on conspiracy theories.

10:58Oh, Jeffrey, huh? Did he commit suicide? Yeah. No, he didn't commit suicide. You think it's still an unsolved murder? Yeah. Is he the one in the body bag that's eventually buried? I don't think he's alive. Okay. I think he was murdered. Okay. Fair. What do you think? This is a very controversial take from me. I don't believe he committed suicide. Okay. I believe he's dead. He's definitely dead, but he was murdered. I believe he was murdered. Yeah. I believe the autopsy does not match. Yes. Yeah. I believe a lot of government documents were shredded. Of course. So I think we'll never know the truth.

11:35Very sad. But I think someone knows the truth. Some people out there, I think there's some FBI agents somewhere who know the truth. And those who committed the crimes know the truth. Yeah. Sometimes when someone loves themselves too much, they won't kill themselves. I am not a conspiracy theory person. I wouldn't even, unless I say political, and I think conspiracies at the teachers' unions want to keep the students stupid so they can control them and turn them into Democrats. That's a good conspiracy theory. That's a new one we haven't heard yet. I've been a big, I've enjoyed with crazy humor the Al Gore prognostications about what's going to happen.

12:11You know, his grovelly voice about a certainty of what's coming next in the world. and you just know they're completely wrong, but yet everybody gets spun up in love. And then Paul Ehrlich just died, who's sort of the godfather of the Al Gores. He predicted doom and gloom by many different mechanisms throughout his whole life. He was wrong on every single thing. And the New York Times headline was, Paul Ehrlich's predictions were ahead of their time. They were wrong. All these doom and gloom things are just about to happen again now. Well, it's too late because it's already been revealed. But I always, even when we were going through it early during Trump 1, I always believed that Russia collusion was a huge conspiracy.

12:57It just, it never made any sense that the guy who was in our televisions for 35 years, who everybody loved, including hip hop artists and Democrats, et cetera, was all of a sudden a Russian plant. Never made any sense to me. Do you believe someone should be charged in the Epstein investigation? Yeah, I do. What's a conspiracy theory that you believe in? I don't think it's a conspiracy theory, although others do, that the 2020 election was stolen. Absolutely believe that. Oh, man. Well, the swamp. You know what's funny is I used to hear people say that, and I was like, why do people use that term?

13:36And then you come here, and you experience some of what goes on in D.C., and you pull back the curtain a little bit, and you're like, yeah, this is a swamp and I totally get it. I will say Barron being a time traveler was an interesting one, but that's not it. It's a funny one. A conspiracy theory that I believe in. Well, I mean, if you go back to net neutrality, I think ultimately that was one that was an idea completely planted by Google and others that was just a completely made up fake issue and they somehow created a national political movement for a number of years there, but I think it's finally over, thankfully.

14:13The moon. The moon landing. I got a buddy, my buddy Skip, every single dinner we eat at, he and one of my other guys, Hunter, fight over the moon landing the entire dinner, every dinner. Did we land on the moon? Hunter believes it happened. Skip believes it didn't. And we got to listen to this shit every time we eat dinner. What's a conspiracy theory that you believe in? We're going to go rapid fire around. Voter fraud exists. I agree. Definitely with her. I've prosecuted voter fraud. Voter fraud. No question. Minnesota. Yeah, you've got a lot of material. We are the fraud capital. I do think that there are interdimensional beings out there for sure.

15:02I do believe in UAPs. Have they ever visited? UAPs, UFOs. I think they're more than just aliens from another world. It may be aliens from another world, but I think there's more. There's a lot more to that story. Do you believe they actually played golf on the moon? Oh, I don't. Here we... Conspiracy theory. I don't know. Look, Elon says we've definitely gone there. So I tend to go that route because he's the man that knows quite a bit about all that. Artemis just went around the moon. So I do believe if we spent a lot of our resources like they say we did. I think we did. I don't think the footage is real.

15:41I think we didn't go to the mirror. I don't know about the footage. It's quite wild. Oh. I would say that Oswald didn't assassinate Kennedy. I mean, if, you know, I do believe that can't just be possible, just I don't know what he was involved on it, but the kinds of marksmanship that was required to do that it had to have been like a full-on sniper team that did that that's I would say that this I never really believed that it was just like the lone gunman you know with a junkie rifle like that have you read all of the files are asked to read all of them I haven't I know I did not have any specific kinds of insight you know but but overall if if you just you know the videos and a lot the evidence and those things.

16:40I'm not sure anyone really seriously believes that that was just a guy that could have pulled off those kinds of shots. What's a conspiracy theory that you believe in? Okay, I'm a pretty horrible conspiracy theorist, to be honest with you. I would say a conspiracy theory I believe in, or what about the ones that I don't? How about that? Like Helen Keller, if I'm being honest with you, did she really exist? Like, did she really exist? I can't wrap my mind around it like you're telling me there's a woman who can't see she can't hear but she wrote a book i don't know like i'm the worst conspiracy theorist ever like i'm like way too naive to believe that actually happened that's gonna be the part that's clipped by the way it's gonna be like riley is so stupid and doesn't actually think helen keller is real okay fine maybe but i don't know i think it doesn't sit right with me no i i don't disagree with you but I also think there's a lot of conspiracy theories out there and every single one's proven true so like you could sell me on anything these days.
