In short
Carissa Schumacher discusses trusting intuition and “spirit” experiences, her path from neuroscience and neuro-oncology into channeling and retreats, and how to live with balance via the “four chambers of the sacred heart” (simplicity, stability, humility, surrender, stillness). She also explains her approach to forensic medium work and warns against glamorized, harm-prone practices. Key claims include: spirit is safe while humans can be difficult; adolescence can cause people to suppress intuitive abilities; major life “alchemy” begins with the death of what isn’t serving you; fear often signals an upcoming evolution; and “dark night of the soul” is often actually a “dark night of the mind.”
Guest backgrounds
Carissa majored in neuroscience at Brown University (seeking scientific explanations for childhood experiences). She later worked in neuro-oncology. She is a full-body channel for “Yeshua” (described as the Christ consciousness of unconditional love/forgiveness) and runs group retreats called “Journeys.” She also works as a forensic medium with an integrity-first, “first do no harm” approach.
Notable examples
As a child she reported seeing “golden spirits” in rain and feeling divine presence in forests; she later described accurately an imaginary friend’s identity to a bohemian neighbor who cried (“that’s my Sophie”). In a Canada case, she said a body would be found “to the left,” contradicting law enforcement, and it was found there months later. She describes using a “GPS-like” spirit connection to locate missing items (even a cat at a fence). She cites “Freedom Transmissions” and “Alchemy Transmissions” teachings, including “service through joy vs suffering,” and advises sabbaticals/stillness to regain inner guidance.

0:18Marie Forleo:Just the other night, I was at a Mexican restaurant with my girlfriend and I was telling her about this. And the moment I was explaining Yeshua, she was like, wait a minute, is this religious? You know, cause at all this stuff. So for people listening right now, I want to go back because you don't come from a religious background. In fact, you majored in neuroscience at Brown university because you wanted to understand if there was a scientific explanation for what you experienced as a child. So tell us about that experience and, and what were the things that you were seeing and feeling that led you to believe like, whoa, my experience of life is different than many people around me.
0:59As a child, I'll just give you a quick example. My first memory, but I didn't know that it was weird at the time because when it's just how you are, you think that everybody's like you. So my, one of my first memories, I was in my crib, super tiny. And I remember looking out at the rain, but I didn't see rain. I saw these golden, beautiful spirits dancing in the rain. It was so beautiful. And I later came to learn that those can be called water spirits and Native American and in many different traditions. So that was my first memory was that looking out and seeing something tangible rain but not experiencing it as rain experiencing it as spirit and not just the spirit that is so above so to speak but also the spirit that is all around us and all permeating in nature and then my second memory was just walking through the forest and feeling the unbelievable presence of the divine and of spirit no religion no dogma no shame no anything just the presence of unconditional peace and unconditional divine love and I remember saying I am so grateful to get to be here and in retrospect when I reflected on that the fact that I knew that we get to be here suggests that I probably had experiences with being here before.
2:48And so in my early life, spirit was always very safe to me and I was able to see spirit, have spirit talk to me. And it was only over time that I realized that I was actually very accurate in terms of what I was receiving. So one of the neighbors had lost a daughter. Her daughter was my imaginary friend. And finally, one day she was painting my portrait. She was this bohemian artist, you know, chain smoking cigarettes. She was fabulous. And I was telling her about my imaginary friend. And she says, what does she look like? And I start describing her. What is she like? And I start describing all of the, and she starts immediately crying and she says, that's my Sophie.
3:41So I didn't have very many people that I could share some of this with. My parents weren't religious. They knew that I was different to a certain degree just because I was constantly alone. preferred to be in nature, kind of talking to myself. So I was an only child and only children do those sorts of things. But they did start to recognize that there was something deeper that was going on. I began meditating at a very, very young age, like five years old. Spirit always felt safe to me. It was human beings that were the more difficult thing. and it was as I started realizing that maybe this wasn't normal that other people weren't seeing and hearing what I was um that it was almost as though I made a conscious choice to hide this part of myself did that happen in school it did it started happening more around the time of adolescence and we start taking on our individuation and our shadow.
5:00And it's actually very common for children to have these abilities, but then later as they start entering adolescence, there are other priorities in life or they suppress those abilities and never get them back. For me, I still had the abilities and the abilities actually grew stronger and stronger instead of fading and diminishing. But as a little girl, you just want to fit in. Yeah. And you just want to be normal. And so what I cultivated basically to keep myself safe was this whole double life. And that turned out to hurt me in the long run because I got so good at hiding certain things that were important to me and all of those things.
5:47I wound up feeling very unseen and very unheard because it's like people knew one part of me, but not the whole of me. And we are not a la carte menus in this life. And I've worked with a lot of clients and people that it's like, oh, well, you know, my husband loves me for this, but he hates all of these things. And I'm like, you're not an a la carte menu in a relationship. You may not love everything about your partner, but you do need to accept that as a whole person. So then as time went on, I did go to study neuroscience at Brown because I was very curious about mechanisms of the brain, whether there are areas in the brain that are suggestive of these abilities.
6:38And where we are, this was obviously 20 years ago that I was at Brown, But while neuroscience has come a long way, we are still very nascent in our understanding of the brain and consciousness and the movement of energy and how we're able to communicate with one another, not just through words or through visuals, but through actual vibrations. and then I went on to study uh well after after Brown I went on to work in neuro-oncology all the supposed tos I was so good at checking the box oh I was the queen of checking off the boxes and it's gonna be this and gonna be this and gonna be this and then all of these supposed twos, I just wound up being like, I did everything that the, I call it the horizontal, the external world has told me to do.
7:41And I'm miserable. I feel like I have had a part of myself, the presence of the divine. It's like, this has been amputated and I'm like, I can't do this anymore. And so I quite literally was like, I have to let this all die. One of two things is going to happen, Carissa. This was like the conversation. Either you're going to die, like literally die of unhappiness and just the trauma and the stress of everything, or you're going to let everything that is not you just burn away. And don't bother throwing buckets of water at it. Just let it burn away. And I lost everything, like my job and life structures.
8:33And I have never felt more relieved. And in retrospect, I now know that that was my moment of invoking the alchemy pathway, which does not begin with unicorns and roses.
8:52It's with death and allowing for the death of what is no longer serving us because it's through that that gateway of the void that we're able to transform ourselves in our lives so after after that point letting it all die everything came back online again and that was when I received the vision from spirit to do retreats called journeys to start in my private sessions and so forth. So that's the origin story of how we got here. Yeah, no, I love it.
9:26Marie Forleo:And thank you for sharing that because it's important. And by the way, we haven't talked too much about this, but I remember you mentioning at One Retreat, because I've been on many journeys with Carissa, they're incredible, beyond incredible. You've also done some work as a forensic medium. Did I get that right? Yeah. Which is incredible work. Is there anything you want to share about that? because that's like, it's really, and you don't have to by the way, but it's just, I know people in my audience all around the world have heard of this and we all have witnessed things that we see on the news or we read about where there's this incredible pain and suffering.
10:04Marie Forleo:And we've used all of our, let's call them our horizontal abilities to try and unearth answers or closure or some sense of relief. And there are people not unlike yourself who have an abilities that go beyond the horizontal to be able to help piece together things that can bring resolution. So when I began my service, the penultimate aspect of my covenant and service with spirit, the covenant basically being the divine saying, this is what we need of you. Yeah. And me saying, okay, in order to do that, this is what I need of you. So in the early formulation of my covenant, the divine was like, you know, we need you to be your whole self.
10:48We need you to serve others, to connect to others. And I was like, okay, I'll do that. I'll allow my supposed to life to explode. However, I'm not going to advertise. I'm not going to go out and say, you know, look at me and market this. You need to bring me those that I meant to serve. And that's exactly what happened. Wow. When I began, everything was just organic and it still is to this point. I didn't even have a website for until like 2022, like after a book was released. I love that. But the primary basis of my covenant is integrity.
11:35Marie Forleo:Yeah. and there is a lot of glamorization in the media and even in certain television shows about forensic cases and what that looks like and yes there are absolutely some incredible mediums that are able to come in I don't talk very much about it number one out of respect for the families. Absolutely. And the communities whose lives have been devastated because coming into these sorts of cases and the reason that I don't do a whole lot, I'll do like one maybe every other year and only if it's a very, very clear connection to spirit. Because I still operate under the Hippocratic Oath, which is first do no harm.
12:25Yes. Same in medicine and I have adopted that first, do no harm. So unless it's very clear and I have a very close connection to the person that is in spirit, I typically won't commit. Because for me, I'm not just a receive information and let you know type of medium. For me, when I connect to a human being or to someone on the other side, it is such an honor and such a privilege to be able to greet someone, to be able to be the medium through which they're able to communicate messages. So that connection needs to be very strong. What I will say about these cases is that either way, no matter the outcome.
13:19So normally by the time that I get called, it's a missing remains case. Family, friends may be hoping that it's still a missing persons case, but usually by the time that it comes to me, too much time has gone by. And, you know, one of the things that I do have to say on behalf of law enforcement is that there is, because there has been a lot of glamorization and a lot of people are like, I'm a media, they get a lot of tips that take them on segues and so I normally will not reach out to law enforcement myself there are only two exceptions of that and those I'm glad that I reached out those two times but usually by the time that it comes to me I'm contacted by a friend or a family member and I always let them know from the very beginning like the outcome is going to be difficult no matter what.
14:18Yes. Because either you're going to get the closure and the person in spirit is going to tell me like this is where you can find me. But that's not exactly a happy ending. Absolutely. And then on the other hand, the person isn't located or does not want to be located, which is something that has happened. And then they don't have closure. Yeah. So I'm very upfront about this from the very beginning, but, um, I appreciate you saying
14:48Marie Forleo:all that because I think it's really important. And the reason that I even wanted to go there, and we don't even have to go further is just that in the world that we're in, and to your point, you know, there's so many people, and this is true by the way of any profession, right? We can be talking about law. We can talk about medicine and doctors. We can talk about podcasters and content creators, right? There are humans and we're all beautiful beings, but there's people that are very rooted in integrity. So they're conscious of their gifts and what they're doing and how they're doing it. And there's others that have other things happening.
15:22Marie Forleo:They're working through some unconsciousness. So I just wanted to say that because this is a unique conversation for me to be having on the show. And so I wanted people to understand a bit about your depth and how multifaceted you are as a human before we dive into all this stuff which I can't wait to dive into. So that was the only reason that I wanted to. Oh, yes. And what I can say is that when approaching these types of, but it's not just all these types of cases, it's just my abilities in general. Yeah. One of the strongest ways that spirit comes through me or delivers messages is almost like a GPS system.
16:01So, and this can come down to like finding objects in someone's home. Like you have no idea how many emails I get from people being like, my cat is missing. Can you find my cat? Carissa, are you serious? Oh, all the time. But I kind of, I'm like a big animal person. I know you are. I'm like, go right, go left, go right, go left, left, left, right, right, right. Your cat's at the fence. And it's happened so many times. This is how I found sacred sites. Wow. This is how I found Quest Haven and the Elfin Forest, the Mother Tree where I channeled, both the freedom transmissions and the alchemy transmissions.
16:39And very often on certain types of cases like this, I'll connect with the spirit, kind of find out a little bit more about where they were, what they were experiencing. and so, so many times it's a person that is struggling with mental illness or overwhelm or just a general, or addiction, or just a general sense of being disconnected from life. Those are very often the ones that I'm called into. But then I'll be like, okay, where are you? Left, right? Wow. There was a case in Canada where the fellow traced me all the way up through the bike route that he went on. And law enforcement had been looking all over to the right.
17:36And I was like, that's not where he is. They're looking over here because they had found like a piece of evidence there. And I was like, he's over here and he's going to be found. Nobody listens to this. Nobody listens to the psychic. And I don't want to laugh about this, obviously. No, no, no, no. But I think we... Sure enough, six months later, that's where his body was found, over to the left. So I wish that there would be more understanding, I would say, or adoption of those with evidence-based. And I mean like long-term evidence-based, like a Laura Lynn Jackson or me to a certain degree or Tyler Henry.
18:20I would love for there to be more inclusion of that, not only in law enforcement, but even in certain things like science too. Like medical intuitives, I have seen so many people that went to doctor after doctor after doctor, they go to a medical intuitive who's like, that's where your problem is. The problem wasn't here. The problem was down there. And then they're able to take that information, bring it back to their doctor, get tested in that area and sure enough, like that's the area where they're having problems and all of that can be healed. So my prayer for this new era is that there will be a bit more fusion between science and spirit or medicine and intuition because I do feel like these are not mutually exclusive things.
19:13Absolutely. And so the more that we're able to be open, just even refined with discipline, the more that we're able to just be open to the possibilities that we don't yet completely understand. Yes. The more benefit will be there overall in people's healing and transformation.
19:33Marie Forleo:Yes. And I need to say this too on your behalf. You are one of the most special and unique and real deal people I've met. Like I've spent enough time with you personally to just, you know, I sniff these things out because this is what I do for a living when I've done for 25 years. And we were just talking like in my dressing room about this. It's like, I remember when I first learned about you, I was like, oh, you know, let me go to her Instagram page. I'm like, yep, she doesn't have one. And that was one of my first clues. I'm like, I love her. Like the fact that you weren't all over Insta or whatever.
20:01Marie Forleo:And this was 2021, which we'll talk about. And you smoothed over this, but I wanted to say this as well, because this is also one of the things when I talk about you to friends and when I share about how much this work has made a huge difference in my life. I'm like, God, my friend, Chris. Yeah, dude, she like lives in the Elfin forest. That was actually, I just saw my first email to you. I'm like, I, I only thought something like that was like made up in like magical lands because I, I so love everything that's fan. I'm like, Holy shit, that's a real place. And like Carissa lives in the Elfin forest, which is outside of San Diego, by the way.
20:33Marie Forleo:And you just bring such a sense of like playfulness and humility to all that you do. So I'm, I'm saying that because now I want to segue into, you know, for folks who are like, okay, I'm in, I'm intrigued, but like, who are, what is Yeshua? Like before we can even get into the work itself, because, you know, I'm just being transparent here sometimes. And you know, me, I'm super playful. And from what I understand and correct me if I'm wrong, cause you have the direct connection. Although we all do like my understanding of the divine or of Jesus, which we'll talk about, it's like, it is super playful and humorous.
21:10Marie Forleo:So now I'm like, guys, I'm going to Jesus camp. They're like, wait, what? And I just do that as a funny way to get people to go like, wait, where are you going? So who or what is Yeshua? And while many do refer to him as Jesus, when you asked, why am I not to call you Jesus? He had a great answer just for some context yes ma 'am so for nine years prior to when yeshua came through my channel meaning when i began to full body channel i did journeys and four times a year every year out on the earth in sacred ceremony over and over and over again And in some ways, I know that spirit needed me to move through all of those upgrades, all of those ceremonies to be able to hold the capacity that I needed.
22:06Marie Forleo:Now, let me interrupt you. We're journeys just because I can hear people. It's one of my gifts. I know my audience where they get like, wait, what's it is when you're referring to journeys, do you mean private on your own or with groups? With groups. With groups. Okay, great. Non-medicine. Non-medicine. We don't need plant medicines. we get there on our own. Yes, we do. As you know. Yes, I do. So year after year, four times a year, I would go. And I know that that helped evolve me to the level that I needed to be able to full body channel. And Yahshua is the avatar that I am a full body channel for.
22:41There are many others that are full body channels in this world. Mother Mary, Mary Magdalene, many channels, Ra. There's so many different full body channels. And very often the people that serve as full body channels, the avatar is coming to evolve the teachings or to expand on certain things, to upgrade things that, you know, have become outdated within the collective consciousness. And so, for example, for those that are like full body channel, anyone that's read A Course in Miracles, which sold like a gazillion copies.
23:22Marie Forleo:Yes, ma 'am. That was a channeled book. Yeah. So basically, it was like some research scientist in New York, like a psychotherapist or something. Yes, she was. And like the most unlikely person. The most unlikely person. And she's just a voice came to her and said, write this down. And she's like, am I schizophrenic? Like, what is going on here? And our friend was like, why don't you just listen to the voice and write it down? And the voice said, this will be a course in miracles. So she wrote it down. And then she basically didn't know what to do with it after. So it was just small printed. and she died two years before it ever was picked up, I think, by Marianne Williamson and Oprah and became revolutionary for so many people within the collective.
24:14So full-body channel stuff has been around for a long, long time. With this being said, so I am a full-body channel for Yeshua, which is the energy of the Christ. not jesus it's the christ but more the consciousness of the christ equally masculine and feminine in one it is not about the son the father the sinner the this or the that it is a frequency of unconditional love forgiveness yesh was so funny so funny he tells it like it is. He can get fiery once in a while, but it's just, I love Yeshua. And I really feel like this, how he comes through the lens of my channel. I'm, you know, one of many different channels, but I'm just like, I can get behind this.
25:17Yes. I could never get behind the like dogma and shame and sin and you're he's like you're loved you're sacred let's co-create he loves to move us into deeper embodiment in co-creation and illumination of all of our own unique gifts and abilities and his name as a human yes and so you know at first i was like you know why Yeshua like like shouldn't I call you Jesus and he's like that was not my name and that's true I didn't even know these things until after he started coming through but the Greek Jesus and the Greek was basically what his name was chosen to be decades after the time of his life but everyone in his life knew him as Yeshua or Yeshua whatever pronunciation.
26:16And I will mention he's very much a Jew. You know, he talks a lot about Jewish traditions and lays things out, you know, things that a lot of people, maybe like Christian or even agnostic, wouldn't understand about things that he did in the Bible that seemed like, why would he do that? And a lot of it was because at the time of his life, he didn't come 2 ,000 years ago to tear down Judaish law, to start an entirely new religion. Not at all. What he was doing was everything that he offered then and now was not about tearing anything down. It was about simplifying and evolving the covenant to be available to be realized by all people.
27:11And that covenant is the co-creation. that we share not just with higher spirit, but the covenant that we share with spirit within our own bodies, within our own essence, within ourselves and the universe and the world that is all around us.
27:28Marie Forleo:I love that. And so I just wanted to say, and these were a couple of the things that really spoke to me when I was first introduced to this work, and we'll talk about that in a minute, but he's not here to change your beliefs. You don't have to believe in Yeshua or anything to be receptive to the insights or the gifts that he offers. So I want to take it back because I want to set this context. It was December of 2021 when I first discovered you. And when I first discovered, guys, I'm going to hold up this. For those of you who are listening to the podcast, I'm holding up a copy of The Freedom Transmissions.
27:58Marie Forleo:So this was the first book, which I have several copies of. And they're all like, I'm a maniac. So when I read books and when they move me, you guys, I'm sure you know if you've listened to me before, me and my gel pens and my highlighters and I'm underlining and circling and making my own notes. Like this thing, it's both copies that I have. Actually, I think I have three copies. They're just like so much is in there. And I was rereading my notes as I was prepping for our conversation. I do the exercises. So Yeshua gives a lot of like journaling or exploration type of suggestions to just help you kind of integrate some of these ideas or get curious about them and see how they might relate to you.
28:36Marie Forleo:And I was just like, oh my gosh, I had no idea how all of this would change my life, how you would change my life. this is something that I want to mention. It's just an aside for fun. But so I discovered you in this work in December of 2021. Then it wasn't until June of 23 when our mutual dear friend, Elise, was having her, she was having a PR book release party here in Manhattan that she'd invited me to. And for whatever reason, somehow your name came up. and I was like I feel like I'm supposed to like I always have been led by intuition but I was like I'm supposed to reach out to her I was like Chris you know can you intro me whatever whatever and I emailed you literally the day before my mom got sick and my entire life came crashing down yeah for two and a half years and I was like holy it was literally the day before that happened and on that email that I sent to you the day before my life changed forever, I was like, I think I need to come to, you're doing a journey in September and I think I need to be there.
29:46Marie Forleo:And so I just, I needed to say, we don't need to go more about that, but I just want everyone listening who, if you've listened to me before, you know, I don't do that often. Do you know what I mean? And I was not very comfortable also at that particular point coming to like a public thing and sharing about like one of the most devastating experiences of my life, but I felt so comfortable. So I just wanted to thank you publicly for who you are and what you do and all of this work because it takes bravery to, you know, you have this supposed to life that you were suppressing for so long. You went through your own alchemy transformation, which we'll talk more about, but it's like, this is part of why I love my work and why I love this show is because so many of us go through things and we feel like not safe being who we really are.

30:31Marie Forleo:Who am I to say X, Y, or Z. What could this possibly do for other people? People are going to think I'm nutty pants and crazy and X, Y, and Z. And it's just like, so I just want you to publicly hear. And I know this has been true for tens of thousands of people that you touch, but you guys, this is why it's so important to listen to your heart, do the work that you were born to do and to trust your gifts, even if they are outside the lines and to trust who you are because it really, it can heal and transform each other and our greater planet. So I just wanted to say that. Okay. Freedom transmissions, because this was the first book and this is where I want to start.
31:03Marie Forleo:I think the piece of, and I call it content, even though it's an idea and notion, it's way more than that. That feels so, I don't know, light. But the four chambers of the sacred heart is literally something I've told so many people about when I've tried to get them. I'm like, just pick up the book. This is like one of my favorite things in it. What are the four chambers of the sacred heart? Can you explain what it is, why it's important and how to cultivate these energies? Yes. Everything that Yahshua, but this is true for spirit in general. So for those that connect to spirit, be it in nature or with certain angels, maybe, or spirit guides or beloveds in spirit, spirit is never about extremes like perfection and those are human constructs even shame shame like how many women and men have been riddled also a human construct as Yahshua says everything that is perfect has flaws, which I love, so liberating, but everything that spirit brings us is for balance.
32:18Not too hot, not too cold, not too busy, stressed out, not too bored, too nothing. it's about balance. And why that is tricky is because everyone has a unique ratio that they need for balance. Some people can be way more extroverted, way more in the external. Some people need a lot of introverted time, space to process things. And so this cookie cutter world, this is what you need for balance this is what you need for balance only you can establish your own needs for balance but what I love about the freedom transmissions is that Yeshua then answers the question how how can I I'm not going to abdicate responsibility and look to others to tell me what my body needs for balance.
33:21Like this is my body, my spirit, but how? And he discusses the four chambers of the sacred heart, which are simplicity, my favorite word, stability, humility, surrender, and stillness. It's just about, by simplicity, he does not mean scarcity. And I've got to give away all my belongings and go and live in a yurt. It's just by simplifying. Simplifying. Thoughts. Simplifying. because sometimes when thoughts, fears come in, especially when someone has trauma patterning, it's like a deluge. And then one thought, next thought, and it all bandwagons all at once. So the simplicity chamber, Yash was like, be very careful to let all these thoughts and fears become big knots because there can be completely unrelated things that then get entangled with one another.
34:28And then basically your mind is hijacking your entire body or your entire week or your entire day or month or year. So simplicity is just about taking the space, the pause to breath, to breathe, and just bringing in, invoking the energy of simplicity, just making things more simple, how we drive, how we greet one another. And then stability is not just about going out and having a ton of financial abundance, which you then have to safeguard after all of that money, after spending years making all that money, now you're also a slave to keeping all of that money. Stability is a sense of connection to your roots.
35:18It's that groundedness. Stability is really what comes through faith. Not dogma-based, not faith and beliefs or this or that. but faith, which is the unconditional knowing that everything's going to be all right. Faith is that recognition of your divinity. And it's through that faith that you feel more stable within yourself because you're not all out in your emotional body over here, mental body over here, physical body completely frazzled, spirit completely suppressed. when you're stable within yourself, you're more synchronized. You're more present, more in tuned with the earth. So you've got simplicity, stability, surrender.
36:07Marie Forleo:Oh my God. That used to be one of my least favorite words ever. Now I love it. Of course. Surrender. It's not submitting to abuse or a negative situation or something like that. Surrender is simply coming into things with that sense of connection. I don't have to control everything I am held in this moment, but I can't control. I can't control the external outcomes. I need to surrender that over to my spirit, over to the divine. So when I came to the surrender channel it was also a struggle for me virgo but i found that it was accepting what is yes not trying to fight it but accepting what is that really helped me to cultivate more surrender and then just really be peaceful all the time no matter what such a sense of relief too to do it burden oh my god like again I know it's not Jesus, but I used to play with this because this is how my quirky little brain, I'm like, let Jesus take the wheel.
37:23That's it. I was just about to say that.
37:26Marie Forleo:Yeah, yeah, yeah. I would send you this GIF where it's like, it's the most hilarious GIF ever. I'm going to send it to you where it's like somebody's driving and then, you know, Jesus kind of pulls up and like, Hey, and it's like, it makes me laugh so hard because that's what I think about with surrender. And it's like, you know what, Marie hands off. You don't have to manage every single thing in the universe. That's so dead on. I say this all the time. I am such a bad driver. And I mean, like, not only actually, but just like trying to drive the bus of my life was a freaking disaster. There were hit and runs.
38:01Oh my God, the poor guys in my 20s, like, I'm so sorry. I'm just bashing into things, no sense of direction. You know, so I'm like the GPS of Spirit and that, you know, but terrible at driving. And so it was like, I'm a terrible driver. I am giving the wheel of the bus to Spirit. I'm just going to sit on the bus, look at who shows up and miraculously, I've always gotten to where I need to be. I mean, I'm not going to lie. There have been some harrowing mountain passages with Spirit driving the bus that I'm like, I don't think we're going to get there this morning. But every time we get to, I'm more abundant, even financially.
38:43I'm peaceful. Like I have, everybody has problems and issues in life, but with that surrendering of the wheel, remarkably less. And when an issue or problem does present itself, it's so much easier for me to address it or to listen to my intuition and know what to do. Yes. Because I'm stable, simple, surrendered within myself. Yes. And that leads me to the final, which is stillness. Stillness is not silence. Stillness is more about creating that balance of positive and negative space. As they would say in the art world, we have the positive space in our lives where we're out doing and we're out serving.
39:38Stillness is more just about taking the pause for that negative space, taking a bath, going to yoga, doing some journaling, reflection, just letting everything calm and still. because when we come to stillness, that's when we bring all four of the sacred chambers together and together they represent spaciousness. So the sacred heart is just what gives us more spaciousness and more space for our spirit, our light,
40:16Marie Forleo:to reside within our physical body. So that's the co-creation. some might call it an indwelling or the divine but when you have a little bit more space little bit more space the more balanced the more synchronized you become and the easier it is to serve yes through your essence as opposed to your sediment and fragmentation which we'll talk about in a second I love it because whenever I think about the four chambers of the sacred heart for me it's like these are energies I can cultivate and in a really practical way if I find myself, you know, in a position, like I'm thinking about even like a renovation that I'm working on, I can go like, what is the most simple choice I can make when there's chaos around?
40:58Marie Forleo:Or if I'm looking at an opportunity, whether or not I want to say yes to something, I check in and go, does this create a feeling of stability within me? And that can be an essence. It can be so subtle and so nuanced or the surrender. Again, we've already talked about this. I'm like, like, Marie, hands up, let Jesus take the wheel. Or, you know, the stillness, my, and we'll talk about this. One of the things I haven't really talked about is the fact that I have been on a creative sabbatical for a while. And one of the inner messages, inner directives that was given to me right at the top of it was that I needed to go back to my TM practice of meditation, which is just being in stillness twice a day.
41:35Marie Forleo:And it is, I feel like it has transformed me on so many levels. And it's not like I'm disciplined about it. I look forward to those moments every single day. I just wanted to say this as an aside, because when you did the journey in New York, one of the opening lines to when you all were in New York, no, don't laugh. It was great. And I'm going to tie this back in. And I wrote it down. I don't have my notebook here, but I have all of my journey notebooks. And Yeshua was like, let's dance. That was like the opening line. And y 'all know I'm a dancer. I dance constantly. And this was actually in the alchemy transmissions, simplicity.
42:15Marie Forleo:So this is a quote, though I have many signature dance moves. Simplicity is the foremost of them. I was like, yes, Yeshua. Yes. Let's bring simplicity onto the dance floor. You mentioned something about service and like serving through our essence rather than sediment. And I want to take it to someplace where when I was first introduced to this concept, I think it was in the freedom transmissions and it shows up again in alchemy and I believe this might be seating for the next book is service through joy versus service through suffering so let me set the stage here there are so many people watching and listening right now and I'm certain of this who for a period in their lives probably felt aligned and like they were in service through joy and then all of a sudden it's like the rug got pulled out and the thing that they used to love doing the way that they used to love to run their business, the thing that was like, oh my God, I'm so in alignment, all of a sudden is like, holy shit, how do I get out of this?
43:14Marie Forleo:Where they feel totally not aligned anymore. What does this mean? How can we start to recognize, and is it just being miserable and drained, if we know that we might be in a pattern of serving through suffering versus service through joy? So inevitably, throughout the course of life, there are times that we have been in a vehicle for our service. Our vehicles for service are not our purpose. Our purpose is to be in a body. And Yeshua's given transmissions about this where he's like, if we made your purpose about doing, like, is it not hard enough to just be in a body? Like, do we really have to add more to like the checkoff?
43:57And she's like, no, your purpose is to be you and to realize more of that you with each passing day. but we do all have vehicles for our service. A vehicle can be a job, a project, like pet, friendship, even children can be vehicles for our service. You know, a marriage, a relationship, a partnership. So we have many different vehicles for our service. What can happen, and for some people it's in their marriage, with some people it is their job or a project. A vehicle that once brought you service through joy, when that was where you were in your conscious evolution, was great. But all of a sudden, it can start to feel a little heavy.
44:48And there are certain warning signs, little tremors, feeling a little bit of resentment, feeling a little bit more of that sense of, ah, like really not feeling it today. and so when clients tell me like I'm feeling some of the tremors, I always check in with them and say, are you taking enough negative space? Because it may just be that you're tired. Yes. But if increasingly starting to feel some resentment, feeling complacency, actually one of the warning signs is a lot of fear, almost as though their mind is like, not, there's nothing else out there, nothing else out there, nothing else out there.
45:28So when I hear actually more fear, I'm like, ooh, that means that an evolution is definitely coming. So when those moments come, it means that you are evolving. You have consciously evolved beyond the vehicle that you've been in. And that doesn't mean that you need to destroy the vehicle. I get this a lot where someone's like, I'm so miserable in my job. I'm going to quit the industry and go start something else. And there are times for some people that that is the right thing to do. But the majority of the time I'm like, let's not throw the baby away with the bath water. There may be new things that your spirit wants you to bring into the vehicle, or there may be certain outdated things in your vehicle, say your business, your brand, that you can do better.
46:25Marie Forleo:Yeah, they're complete, mission complete. Or there just needs to be an upgrade or an up leveling. And so there's like an alchemy pathway that is needed for the business. But it's through moving through those upgrades, which does mean facing some of those fears of people knew me as this. And if I change my brand to this, then da, da, da, da, da. And that's when you got to summon the courage to feel the fear and walk through it anyway. Yes. And so for you, you mentioned the sabbatical. For me, my sabbatical was last year, which I was terrified to take my clients. And, you know, I'm kind of in an interesting service in my life because people are always dying.
47:10Yes. So it's not like that can dry up anytime soon for someone like me. But taking a sabbatical and the time off and what do people need? And I'm like, I'm making it about everybody else but myself. Yes. spirit has told me take this space I'm doing it in a safe and reasonable way and that's when the second book the alchemy transmissions was brought through yeah but anytime that you are on a major precipice there's gonna be that fear let there be that fear because sometimes it's not actually fear. It's a mixture of like grief, but also some excitement coming in being like, this feels joyful. I've done the research.
48:00I've distilled things down and I'm a little nervous, but I'm just going to go for it. And those are always the things that evolve us out of the servitude through suffering and into the deeper service through joy. But the fear keeps us shackled to the servitude through suffering.
48:22Marie Forleo:Well, I think I love this. This was so much, these were big themes. And again, the themes kind of reemerge and they show up again and again, which I personally appreciate and really need. But in the freedom transmissions, I think one of the biggest things that, oh my God, my highlights and my circles, the fear, like the fear of losing status, the fear of losing everything you've built, the fear of who am I going to be without this? And then when you go into some of like the fears, like everyone else is going to get ahead and who's going to need me and da, da, da. It's like such a sickness that for me feels like it's so pervasive in our culture.
48:52Marie Forleo:It's like we're swimming in it. It's like we're fish that we don't even know we're in water. So much scarcity, so much fear. And it's such a sickness to think like you can't stop for a minute and just be and breathe. Anyway. And if you can't, you're never going to go co-create with spirit. Right. And by the way, sabbaticals, just to like give context, it's like, I love what you said before. You don't necessarily, you know, what I've done for myself, which I'll talk about at a different time. It's not the point of this conversation. But even just those moments where it's like, hey, give yourself a weekend.
49:26Marie Forleo:You know what I mean? Like off of technology and off of doing anything. Like it doesn't have to come in weeks or months unless that's appropriate for you. And that's what my spirit was telling me. And I was very clear directives about what I needed to do. But it's like, this is possible to take that stillness and that spaciousness to be able to really listen, not to the external voices, but to the wisdom from within. Right. And I love this. This is a line that I wanted to share. It's like your souls, and again, Yeshua, your souls are taking back their power from your minds. And those who resist will struggle more as time goes on.
50:02Marie Forleo:This is another one. And I'm just going to read some things because these were like big highlights and circles for me. Do not deny yourself the joy of living. You are not here to fear. You are here to love. That is how you change the world through the inner self before any progress can be made in your external reality. And then this final one, I'll say this and then I want to start talking about the void, which is a time of change, which gets us into the alchemy transmissions. Your soul wishes to enlighten and remain light. That is why it is freeing you from so many things during this time. Even if your mind tells you it's scary, trust your soul.
50:38This was a note from one of our journeys together where Yeshua said,
50:43Marie Forleo:it's not a dark night of the soul. It's a dark night of the mind. And I was like, yes. I'm like cheering in my chair because so much of it was, at least for me, like these heavy, heavy, heavy mental fears, heavy mental fears. Anything that you want to say about that? And then we could talk about voids. Yes. Well, it's, there's a shift in identity that is occurring in some of those moments of what you've known yourself as and what your spirit is saying you can become and you're ready and meant to become through your process of conscious evolution. But that's why the alchemy pathway is necessary and inevitable in our lives and has been since the dawn of all creation.
51:38And this isn't just true in human beings, it's true in nature too. Like we can't have more flowers if the old flowers don't die, giving the fertilizer for the new flowers to come. And it's the same with us in this process of the deaths of the old, but it's not like in an alchemy pathway, it's not your essence that is dying. Your essence is of the light, is of the holy fire. So it can't be burned away by the holy fire. What gets burned away in an alchemy pathway are the parts of you that you don't need anymore, but you do have to be willing to let go of some of those attachments because the fear to whatever, those are all attachments, attachments that you have to traumas, attachments that you have to scarcity.
52:34And one of the credos of the divine warrior, one of Yeshua's mic drops, the divine warrior is attached to nothing, but connected to all. and connection, that connection. I get so many questions. How can I connect more to spirit? And I'm like, detach from all of these. I've got to get these 11 ,000 things done. The divine doesn't ask for your whole day or anything like that, but just that openness, that willingness to connect more deeply to the body is essential for balance. And so you brought up earlier, at least for me, social media.
53:19Marie Forleo:Oh yeah. We talked about this. And so many people are like, I mean, I'm like shocked. I'm like, people are like, you're wild. You're renegade for not being on social media. I'm like, you can't find Carissa on Instagram or TikTok or any of the places y 'all. Like we were talking about this and I was just like, she's like, she's thinking I was like, no dude, this is so awesome that you are not. And she's living proof, fright that her work is thriving. She's got these incredible, like, again, I love these books are so magical to me. I read them. I pick them up often. Thriving practice, thriving work that you do in the world.
53:55Marie Forleo:And she's not on social media literally at all. And that's why I'm able to do amazing stuff. No, you are. You know, the thing about it is, you know, I get so many questions Like, you know, how can you not be on it and still get, you know, signed by a major publisher or invited to speak at 92nd Street Y and stuff like that? And I'm like, because it gives me so much more spaciousness. Every day when I complete my sessions, I get to be out in the forest and I get to listen. And it's through that listening and the stillness that I'm able to hear. Yes. The needs that I'm able to hear spirit. And it's through that listening that I'm able to receive more energy, that I'm able to hold more balance, that I'm able to hold higher and higher frequencies of light, that I'm able to ground myself.
55:01But the main thing about it is, and this is just personal for me because I know a lot of people that love social media and connecting with others and creating content and all of that sort of thing. My whole work is about what I'm designed to be. It's not even my work and what I do. What brings me joy is connection. and social media they're sharing of photos and but there's not real connection I'm like what am I gonna post like this the picture of the seventh snail that I've rescued throughout the course of this day like the orb spider weaving its thing those moments are personal yeah and sacred to me so I'm like number one what am I gonna share because I'd rather not share but then share when I actually have something like important.
55:56Marie Forleo:Yeah. To say, but moreover, I just don't feel like I can connect with people. Well, we were talking about this, not to interrupt you, but I was, again, we were in my dressing room and I was just saying, hey, when something is aligned, like this is my POV on it, right? It's like if it brought Carissa the being joy and you were like, oh my God, I'm so excited. You know, because I've seen you in lots of, I see when you get excited. I've witnessed you be excited about certain things, certain conversations, whatever. And I'm like, I see you lit up. And if a particular vehicle, and this is for anyone, right, or a platform doesn't light you up, it's like, you don't have to be on it.
56:33Marie Forleo:So I just love that you're existing this way. And I wanted to pull something because again, this speaks to Yeshua's sense of humor. And I laughed out loud at this the first time I read it in the Freedom Transmission. So for all y 'all who like struggle with social and you're just like, oh, I feel like I have to be on it, but I can't stand it. Oh my God, I need more followers, which again, you know, most of us, besides Chris, most of us have experienced, you know, that feeling. So here's what Yeshua said about this. If it brings you comfort, beloved one, please note that I did not have many followers.
57:00Marie Forleo:Myself, I, Yeshua, had fewer than the majority of you. I never sought followers. As a matter of fact, the opposite. I did not seek to sit in the center of the aisle and preach. I sat in the back of the temples with those deemed unworthy. So I just, that made me laugh so hard because I can't tell you how many times in my own life and my own history and business, my team, myself, we're like, oh man, we should have more. Or, you know, people look at myself like Marie you're so good why aren't your numbers higher and I'm like you know I feel like saying F you just yeah yeah but when I was like you know what that's pretty damn cool Yeshua in his life he's like he didn't really have that many followers he did fine right because he got to listen yeah to what was important at the back of the temple and it's interesting.
57:47So many, like the way that I first got started, like one of my first clients, I met in a gas station. Did you really? Yeah. And I was just like feeling something for him. And I wind up, you know, channeling and doing some medium and he became my first client and he referred like 10 other people. Oh my goodness. And I have had, and then, and then those 10 refer more 10. So I had all these kinds of trees branching out until there was like tens of thousands of people, but I can almost trace those backs like a family tree.
58:19Marie Forleo:Yeah. Like right back from the beginning, which is so special to do in which you can't really do on social media. But there have been clients sometimes that are like, got to create a business, got to put it on social. I'm not getting any clients on social. And I'm like, you know, your whole brand is about community and connection and sharing. why don't you go out in your community and go do that do something at the local ymca like start small yeah you don't have to compare yourself to you know everybody else that's out there and so they go and start community events or you know meditations at yoga studios and there's something about that in-person connection that is especially now yeah i'm feeling people really starting to crave more and more.
59:10And it's through that, that their businesses grow and they can, like they actually know some of the people that they're serving. So for some people it's great, but for others in your community that do feel like it's servitude through suffering, you don't need it. And actually having more space and not being on it all the time can be incredible for your creative wellspring because you can listen, you can hear, then what you have to express is more powerful because you're balanced and your wellspring is replenished.
59:46Marie Forleo:Absolutely. So let's talk about the Friday, Saturday, Sunday idea, just this concept and also just it's time to alchemize. Like I want to read something again from the early part of this new book, which by the way, if you're listening to the podcast, you won't see this, but I'm holding up this, my beautiful copy of the galley of the alchemy transmissions, which I was sending Chris a text. And it was like, you're on the beach with me. I'm highlighting this. Yeshua's here with me on the beach. So this is what Yeshua shares in the early part. You are bombarded daily with so many images, stories, checklists, people, narratives, and trends that you are incapable of digesting and metabolizing anymore.
1:00:24Marie Forleo:Have you not begun to feel increasingly this way these past years? the sense that you are oversaturated, the sense that it's all just too much for you mentally, emotionally, and physically. This is your spirit's way of saying it's time to alchemize, upgrade, and come back to my true essence. I need to reach for something else, something simple and unburdening, something that can restore me to my balance, joy, and vitality. When I read that, it just felt so good. And I'm sharing that because in my own travels, my own conversations with my friends and colleagues and people that I meet all over, they are expressing this, the feeling that it's all too much.
1:01:03Marie Forleo:It's just become all too much. And it's like, I can't, they feel like they're drowning. And I've admitted, you know, we've talked about this. I felt that way too. I'm like, oh, it doesn't feel good anymore. Yeah. Doesn't feel good anymore. So what exactly is alchemy? How would you slash Yeshua define it? And I know this is very separate. You always, and you do a great job of that, by the way, of expressing like, this is me, Carissa's viewpoint. And then let's talk about what Yeshua shares separately. So how can we define alchemy? So I'm going to create the distinction with healing real quick, because that's always the confusion point.
1:01:36How is alchemy different from just healing from something? Healing, something mentally, emotionally, physically, you basically transform something that could bring it back to balance, so to speak. So if you break your toe, you can heal the toe by re-breaking it and then the toe heals and the bone re-strengthens. Alchemy is the pathway by which, through which, we consciously evolve. So it's not just a mental change, overcoming a mental barrier. It's not just an emotional change. It's not just a physical change. It is consciously evolving beyond a certain vibration, trauma, addiction that we previously held in our field.
1:02:33So I'll give an example. This one happened to me. Prior to my alchemy pathway, way. And I attracted every narcissist that has ever existed. I attracted like dog narcissist. I attracted like rabbit. It was like if one was in the vicinity, you were like, it was going to find me. And actually, I was pretty narcissistic myself at that time to be perfectly honest and take accountability. but through my alchemy pathway it's not just that I learned mentally what a narcissist is here it's not just emotionally that I stopped becoming gravitated towards it wasn't just physically that I felt like it in my body when I was you know meeting someone narcissistic I evolved beyond it in my spirit.
1:03:27And part of that was allowing some of the ego, imbalanced ego to burn away in the alchemy pathway and reclaiming the part of my essence that is humility, strong part of my essence. And ever since I alchemized it, meaning upgraded beyond the need to experience those relationships in my soul contracts, I never attract narcissists. And even when I do, I feel more compassion. Sometimes I'm even able to work with them on understanding their own roots of egocentricity and reclaiming aspects of their humility within their essence. Or I sniff them coming a mile away and I'm like stinky poo poo, not getting on the bus, if you know what I mean.
1:04:18No, totally.
1:04:18Marie Forleo:It's like a matrix move. You're like, yeah, the alchemy is about consciously evolving beyond. So another example would be you can heal your finances. You can do a little bit better about kicking the debt and da, da, da, da, da, but that doesn't mean that you've addressed the roots of why you overspent or underspent or just have scarcity in there. Cause a lot of that can be a lot of intergenerational trauma. Yes. With alchemy, it's like all the scarcity burns away and all of it has to go. You need to grieve some of the old parts of you that felt that you were unworthy of receiving abundance and joy.
1:05:06Like a lot of people with religious conditioning have big scarcity and unworthiness. Orientations do a lot of work with folks on that. But it's through allowing that to die and grieving those parts of you that felt that you weren't worthy of joy and love and abundance when others are, but somehow you're just so wrong and flawed that you're not. It's crazy, but you do need to grieve it. And through that grief and the strengthening of your essence all of a sudden. That sense of I'm worthy of abundance. Financial, otherwise, I'm worthy of joy. I'm worthy of connection. I'm worthy of friendship. It all starts to come online.
1:05:50And towards the end of the alchemy pathway, that's when new forms of abundance come in, new friends or possibilities for friends all starts to show up. but that does not come that attraction of those like vibrations when that old scarcity demon is still in there.
1:06:09Marie Forleo:Can you walk us through like the Friday, Saturday, Sunday, because that's such a cool framework for lack of a better word. Um, and how to really understand, like, I think I've known, I think it was probably when I first read the freedom transitions that I had a feeling I was like, Hmm, even though I didn't have the words for it and I didn't, but it was an inkling and sad that a Friday was coming. So what is the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday? Because it's a process that I think we go through many times in our lives in many, many different ways, some bigger than others. Yes. Yes. I mean, we're constantly alchemizing and upgrading beyond certain things, old thoughts, old ways of perceiving things.
1:06:50In the course of life, there are some central alchemy pathways, like our rites of passage, big things. Which we're going to talk about in a few. Yes. Like, you know, a divorce or, you know, things like that along the way. So we go throughout the course of our lives, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. You asked earlier the question about when is something starting to tip? Usually it starts to be in the Thursday that we get those little rumbles of something's a little off. I'm feeling resentment towards something that I used to love. or in the Thursday, all of a sudden we start looking around and being like, I'm starting to see the truth through a lot of these illusions.
1:07:32Like this friend that I thought was, you know, the best thing since sliced bread, I'm starting to notice like some little lies along the way or lack of reciprocity. So it's kind of like our eyes start to open, but we don't really want to see it. but throughout the rest of the Thursday, it's like that sense of once you see something, you can't unsee it anymore.
1:07:58Marie Forleo:By the way, you guys, this is not like a literal, like it only happens on Thursdays. This is a metaphor. It's an allegory. It's an allegory. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So the Friday, it's in the Friday. The Friday is what represents the death. So if we look at this, there's, you know, the crucifixion, the transformation, the resurrection. It's disputable if historically it happened on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, but I like the energy of that metaphor. Yeah, me too. Or that allegory. So the Friday is the death. The Friday is the void. The Friday, it can be the death of someone. It can be filing those divorce papers.
1:08:41it can be sudden catastrophic unexpected news like what happened with your mom that was a big Friday moment in your life it's very much like the day of the change sometimes it's chosen so in my case I was like I'm gonna I need to let this all die I'm too sick like I can't anymore and sometimes it just happens like out of the blue as life can do. What I find a lot of the time is that people either find me right before they're about to enter their Friday or when they're in the Friday but stuck. Stuck in the void. There can be a lot of PTSD that emerge like hypervigilance and dissociation and trying to throw the buckets of water at the holy fire, and human water ain't going to put out the holy fire because the holy fire is your spirit, your spirit's way of saying, I got to burn some of the sediment away.
1:09:46The way in which we move out of the Friday is acceptance. And it is so, because people are always like, well, I just have to surrender. What I can tell you in all listening from years, 17 years of experience, it is very difficult for a person, a soul, to surrender if they don't feel like they have any agency over what they're surrendering to. So the gatekeeper to the surrender is acceptance. is accepting what is. You don't have to like what is. You don't have to understand what is, but you do have to accept what is. So in your case, if you had sat there fighting the news about your mom, it would have created more suffering than you're calling doctors, than every, it gets really crazy.
1:10:49So you have to accept what is because when you do, you've just given yourself agency. you're saying, I am in this, I accept what is, and I am choosing to surrender. So it doesn't seem imposed, it's more chosen. And it's through that surrender that from the death and the Friday, you're ushered into the Saturday. This is the part that everything in religions, especially certain Christianity, everyone always skips over the Saturday. It's right from the Sunday to the resurrection, Sunday to the resurrection. You mean Friday to the - Friday to Sunday, Friday to Sunday. And that's what our ego wants.
1:11:33Death to whole new structure. Right. Death to whole new structure. Oh, just had a breakup, need to have a whole new relationship. And so they can keep repeating the same cycles over and over. Breakup, new relationship. Breakup, new relationship. The Saturday is where it's at. And the Saturday represents the feminine. The Friday is the death. The Saturday is the transformation. And the Sunday is the metaphor of the resurrection. In the Saturday, there are two parts. One part of the Saturday is the tomb phase. So we've just gone through dark night of the soul, which is really the light night of the soul and the dark night of the ego.
1:12:26The tomb phase is when we shed. And it can be crazy in the tomb phase. It can be, you know, making funeral plans. It can be calling doctors. It can be investigating an illness or tweaking life structures. There's a lot of grief that shows up in the tomb phase because basically now it's the holy water washing. all of that debris away of old mindsets or ways of perceiving things.
1:12:58Marie Forleo:And we're in the darkness, right? In the tomb, it's dark. In the tomb, yes. It's dark, but there's moonlight. Because just through allowing, our light is starting to come online again. And so in the tomb phase, there is also reconnection to nature, essence, body that starts to occur. And it's usually at the tomb phase that I start to hear someone say, I'm really starting to feel more like myself, or I'm feeling stronger than before. I'm craving being in nature or taking a sabbatical or being on a break. Like once we've strengthened enough, the tomb phase shifts into the second part of the Saturday of transformation, which is the womb phase.
1:13:55The womb phase is where you're gestating all of the new things. So say there was like huge change in life structures that happened as a result of the void, a lot of shedding in the tomb phase. The womb phase is where you're gestating, starting to get glimmers of this might be possible or I might move here or maybe this is the right thing that is aligned with my business. So a lot of people are like, oh, Carissa, I would love to be in the womb phase. And I'm like, the womb phase is the most frustrating part of the entire alchemy journey because you're exploring all of these different things. But there's almost like this sense of discomfort, like you're being prepared for something by spirit, but you can't quite put your finger on exactly what it is.
1:14:50So this gestational phase is where you're exploring the new. And the more that you move into the latter hours of the Sunday, in a sense, the more pregnant you are. Saturday. The more pregnant you are with self. So I don't want to make this like too anatomical or anything. But it's through that gestation that as you move into the Sunday, which is the birthing, the crystallization, And that's when all the rainbows show up. That's when a lot of the miracles come, new life structures, new more balanced relationships, ways big or small depending on like the severity of the alchemy pathway and any one person's life.
1:15:39But it is through that evolution that happens in the Saturday that when you enter the Sunday upgraded, there's always going to be a rainbow. And I don't just mean like an actual rainbow. There is always some form of miracle. Not just externally. The reason that spirit is able to bring you some really miraculous things and some major divine magic is because you've become the miracle to your own self. So that's how we not only receive miracles, but also co-create and then catalyze them. because when you're in the Sunday, you're more in your essence. There's less of the sediment or fear self getting in the way of the things that you're meant to create and share and experience in this life.
1:16:30So when you're in your essence and it's unique design, you're basically serving in the way that you were divinely created to do.
1:16:40Marie Forleo:I love that. Within any given life. And then I love, it feels like from what I understand, and you'll correct me if I'm wrong, that the Sunday, you know, once the Sunday occurs and you're like, oh, you're kind of like, okay, it's a new day. And then we enter Monday again. Yes. And it's like a continual process of evolution. I want to get to next what you had texted me about. You're like, I want to make sure that we talk about the rite of passage transmissions and masculine and feminine energy. And I want to kick us off. I'm going to read a little bit from the alchemy transmissions that I think will set us up for rite of passage.
1:17:13Yeah.
1:17:14Marie Forleo:Along your journey through all of the many rites of passage you experience, there may be times when you feel like you are almost devolving, such as those times you feel like you are headed backward. No, like time, evolution, and integration is the forward motion momentum of consciousness. There will be times when something you once thought was so right now feels like it was a mistake. There will be times when something feels that once felt like service through joy starts to feel like servitude through suffering. The immature, consciously immature, sacred parts of yourself may ask, am I devolving?
1:17:46Marie Forleo:Am I out of alignment? No, you are simply going through an upgrade in your realization and embodiment of light, which requires a pass-through or rite of passage. You are evolving. Does that set us up good to talk about? 100%. Yeah, rite of transmission. Tell me why you were like, this is the most important piece that you really wanted to convey about the alchemy transmission. Sure. So two things. Firstly, so I work with a lot of youth and parents in particular. And one of the saddest things about our modern society, more want-based culture, more busy, have more of our survival needs met on a daily basis, which is great in some ways.
1:18:38But one of the things that we've lost along the way are our rites of passage. Doesn't matter where in the world your ancestors at some point practiced rites of passage. In Native American tribes, for example, when a girl got her period, it was a big deal. There was a rite of passage, a ceremony. Women from the tribe would come. They would adorn her. They would start giving her teachings about how to care for her body. So she was guided into the exploration of her femininity. and nowadays it's here's a tampon like pad or tampon which one do you want you're a woman now and that's like about it young men for women our first rite of passage happens physically and our body and actually another rite of passage menopause also for us happens physically men don't have that physical event.
1:19:50So what about the boys? The boys were put on humblecha or a vision quest where they would go out into nature and they would have to survive without mommy and daddy and explore and connect more deeply to themselves and their manhood. These were rituals of growing up. And these foremost, all of these rites of passage, even marriage was another one, a move was another, all of these had different ceremonies, rites of passage, rituals to help the youths evolve into adulthood in a way that was supported by their community, by their elders. so they didn't have to figure out womanhood, manhood, parenting, all on their own.
1:20:43Nowadays, those rites of passage have been replaced fundamentally by achievement-based milestones. Graduation. You know, here's a car, go out now and be a man. In the real world, the central rites of passage of yesteryear, which were practiced through basically all people, all traditions, all tribes throughout the earth, they were foremost spiritual experiences. They were foremost about connecting to spirit, about evolving into conscious maturity as a woman or man and taking on those responsibilities along the way. When that is replaced by materialism, or by just achievement, it's a setup for disaster.
1:21:38Because then it's a setup for divine or connection to nature and presence in your own inner worthiness and strength to be replaced by academia, where academia becomes God or money becomes your God or like religion. And so it's a setup to need to look externally for what you were meant and taught through the rites of passage by community, what you were taught with regards to how to connect from within yourself. And so what we have, we basically have entire generations now of young adults, adults, even people in their 40s and 50s that are disconnected from their roots. Thich Nhat Hung calls it hungry ghosts, where people are disconnected from their bodies.
1:22:39We have a bunch of man children running around or like girl children. I was a girl child. I was a neuroscientist girl child for my whole 20s because I never had those rites of passage.
1:22:55Marie Forleo:Right. And it was, it's sad. And everybody's sitting here, blame, blame, blame. And who's to blame? And that's part of the oversaturation. Who's to blame? It's women. It's no one's to blame. But this entire, I would encourage anyone listening, even if you get the, don't even read the first part of the book, just read The Rite of Passage Transmissions. It is about growing up. I loved that too. We need to grow up and get over ourselves. And I also just even look at people in positions of power that it's like, hand the power down to the younger generations. Some of the younger generations are almost more consciously mature than some of like the 80-year-olds in the world.
1:23:43It is grow up. The adolescents need to go back to the kiddie table and more consciously mature adults, men and women, need to be taking the microphone. But the teenagers love the microphone. They love to hear themselves talk, but it really doesn't contribute to any real evolution and progress. and I tend to find that a lot of very consciously mature people are like, we don't want the microphone. And this is a time where leadership, stepping forward in our communities as consciously mature women, consciously mature men, because we have both of those energies inside of us, that is part of what the divine is asking us to step into.
1:24:28And this isn't about size and scope and reaching a bazillion people on Insta whatever. this is about stepping forward in positions of leadership in community even in the simplest of ways serving through one's own christ magdalene essence in the sense of where is support needed where are there unmet needs where is there a tree that needs watering Where can I look around and see with my real eyes and listen with my real ears? Because the more that one listens, the more that one hears. So there's hope in this all. Because as I said on the March journey, and I know that you've seen this too, and it's an important part of this creative sabbatical and the other side of it for you.
1:25:22There are two temples, as Yeshua talks about in the Freedom Transmissions. There is the temple of the loud bell, which is the temple. It's like this energy field. It's very all permissible. It's like this energy field that is the voice of fear, derangement. Everything is urgent, breaking news. I mean, a pencil falls on the sidewalk and it's breaking news these days. I mean, it's just maddening. At this point in time, it's so stupid. But it is the temple of the nervous system trauma. And so many different external forms of power love people in that temple because they buy more products and they buy more pharmaceuticals and they get more surgeries and they feel worse and worse about themselves.
1:26:20So they buy it more and more. So it's like enslavement. I know what it was like to be in the temple of the loud bell. It freaking almost killed me. But I'm starting to find that more and more people are waking up, growing up and waking up and saying, ha, this isn't me. I'm tired of this. I am tired of cancel culture. I'm tired of comparing myself to every last person that I don't even know if their image is real or not. I'm tired of the hatred. I'm tired of the news and the media dictating how I'm going to feel on any given day. I need nature. I need family. I need community. I need joy. I need to remember who and what it is that I am.
1:27:13I want my negative space. I want to do ceremonies, rituals with my own children, more and more people that beneath the surface are gathering in the temple of the silent bell. And that bell is becoming more thunderous. You can feel it if you listen. People doing these random acts of kindness. Like a stoplight broke down last night when I arrived. and just a random civilian just stepped up and started directing traffic. That's what I'm talking about. The subtle, the simple, the stable that is found in everyday life. And the more people that serve from within this temple in an era that is about community, the more shift that there will be from the ground up.
1:28:16because we're not going to see a lot of shifting at the top.
1:28:20Marie Forleo:Yeah. Nobody likes to hand power down. The shift is happening from the bottom up and every single person has a unique essence and every single person is important to the shift, this evolution that is happening in the new era. Let's talk about that for a minute. Yeah. just because there's several mentions both in Freedom Transmissions and also Alchemy Transmissions about new era versus old era. And one of the things mentioned is this new era is governed by prevention. So there was also some other mentions. The last era was the era of ego. New era is essence. So talk to us a little bit about, from what you understand, old era versus new era.
1:29:09Marie Forleo:When did the old one kind of start winding down? Are we fully in the new era? And What does that mean? What are some of the energies besides what we've already talked about to kind of cultivate and be aware of? Sure. Era shifts do not happen overnight and they're very rare. The last era shift that we experienced was roughly around 2000 years ago. So around the time of Christ, era shifts represent an evolution within the collective consciousness. So it's not just about one person. and it all affects us in a personal and different way. So the real push out of the old era and into the new era has occurred over the past six years or six and a half years.
1:29:54And I know zero people, unless they lived on a remote island in India that has never been part of society, that was not impacted. Somehow by the pandemic or shifts and changes in society, technology, over these past couple of years. Era shifts, the big push into a new era already begins several hundred years prior to the actual transition point. So we already started to see this, the inception of the United States, as a matter of fact, was recognition of sovereignty, that every person has inherent youth worth, and that put into a constitution was very revolutionary at the time. And so there were kind of these progression types of markers that were about sovereignty, liberation, slavery, being the first nation basically to abolish slavery, women's rights, civil.
1:31:02Those are all very Aquarian energy things that are about equality. What else did we start to see during this movement out of the old era and into the new era? New forms of communication emerging and then transparency. So television, radio, telephones, then internet, being able to see things happening real time across the entire world, there was more transparency. And that sounds great in theory, but what transparency can bring to the surface is a lot of struggle and what's the truth and what's the illusion. And is this the truth? Is this the illusion? Is this the other way around? But this transparency energy is really important when it comes to change and transformation and accountability and responsibility masculine and feminine balance is another quality of this era shift so even some of this friction between masculine and feminine to be expected that there would be a certain amount of polarity between those two things as we move into this new era because we're starting to shift into that paradigm of masculine and feminine balance prevention is a big one last era was wait for there to be a crisis and then deal with it and now that as at about end of 2024 we officially shifted into the new era so we're kind of still in a little bit of this limbo now between now and 2028 But this prevention, we're just going to keep getting our wrists slapped over and over by the divine, by spirit, by the collective until we start operating more on how can we prevent bigger things from happening type of paradigm and model.
1:33:16Being proactive. Yes. Yes. So even just things, companies that are creating new solutions for global food shortages, famines. If those people had come to me 10 years ago being like, should I create this? I would have been like, well, you might want to wait until like 20, but yes, create the technology and whatnot. But this is very new era. So it's probably not going to get traction. Until. Until. So anyone that is creating anything in their vehicles for service from your audience that is about prevention, how can we prevent teens from becoming overly dependent on pharmaceuticals or how can we prevent mental illness or how can we prevent body image issues?
1:34:08amazing. Anyone that's creating things that are about masculine and feminine balance and how to communicate and understand these energies within us. Anyone listening that is creating a brand or a business that is super transparent. Like here's what it is. I'm not trying to hide anything people are craving. Yes. That energy now. It's like, I don't need, you don't have to be perfect, but just be honest. And real. Honest and real. Yes. So those are things that are going to thrive, things that are created from joy. And this is an era that's about essence and energy. So what we energize matters. It's always mattered to a certain extent, but in this last era, it was like, you know, think your way, create your, you know, struggle your way through it.
1:35:04Marie Forleo:And now it's, if you're not energizing, taking that space to pause and really every day infusing compassion, patience, love towards this thing that you really want to create, it's not going to go quite as far as quickly. You can get there, but the acceleration of looking at what it is that we want to energize is so critical to this time. So we're going to see a lot of paradigm changes. We're already seeing it in medicine. We're going to see it more definitely in education. It's going to happen. There's going to be a lot of overhaul. And so there's going to be resistance. There's going to be some turbulence and disruptions these next couple of years.
1:35:51Good. Because with every breakdown of the old, the alchemy pathway, it's our sediment that gets dissolved. We have some societal sediment. So the more breakdown, not collapse, just the more shedding of some outdated structures will lead to some of the breakthroughs into the new. So this is happening on an individual but collective level as well. And how special that we got to be here on this planet at this time during an air shift.
1:36:25Marie Forleo:Do you feel like, like I've thought about this and I've been curious about it for myself. I'm like, did I choose to be here at this time? And I know these are the mystery questions. And I'm like, I wonder if I really wanted to, and everyone listening was like some part of their soul contract, some part of them before they came into this body was like, yep, I want to be here for this. 100 % and especially the people that would be listening to you or that would still be listening at this point in time. Definitely chosen and chose to come here. Interesting. Because nobody would be listening to what you are.
1:37:04That was not already very consciously evolved in general. And this is the time of the divine warrior.
1:37:13Marie Forleo:And attached to nothing connected to all. Yes. Yes. And that's what the third book is going to be. It's going to be the divine warrior transmissions a pathway to love, the divine warriors, the reason that they're coming and incarnating at this time, including you, me, many of the people that are listening, is because we have an opportunity to finally put death from, transform, and resurrect from intergenerational traumas. Our, many of our ancestors, even just down to 50 years, World War II, Vietnam War, a lot of our ancestors and even our families went from war to war. Child death, you know, miscarriages, death in childbirth in general, the mother dying, trauma to trauma, and they were resilient.
1:38:10And what got them through was that they had one another. And now in our world, we're not going to be able to move forward into a world, into lives that are loving and free when we are wearing the shackles of all of the traumas of yesteryear. So the rite of passage that Yahshua presents in this book is about giving us the strength and power to take accountability and to say, I am going to be the one once and for all that transforms and resurrects from this. Be it addiction, history of an addiction, history of abuse, whatever. It is powerlessness, silencing. I am going to be the warrior that takes accountability and transforms and resurrects from that because as I do, as I liberate myself from these shackles of the past, I liberate my entire ancestry as well.
1:39:22And so many of the souls, the work that you have done, many of your listeners have done all of this, all of it. This is all alchemy and it is what is helping in this liberation and the movement into this thunder of the new era where so many possibilities are right there before us. We just have to say yes.
1:39:45Marie Forleo:Oh, I love it. I love it. I also want to say this too. First of all, thank you so much. Like, thank you for this whole conversation. As I've said, all of this work, it's done wonders for me and continues to. And I also want to say this. It's like for you guys, if any part of this conversation has intrigued you or you're curious about it, like, Carissa, there is so much in all of these books. Like I know there's Yeshua jokes about, it's like, this is a full meal. You can read these books again and again and again, as I have, and get so many different insights and so many different notions and openings, heart openings, mind openings, being openings that hit you in a different, beautiful way.
1:40:25Marie Forleo:And so we haven't even, I feel like we haven't even like scratched the surface. I tried to do my best because there's two very thick books, but all that to say, it's like, if you feel attracted to this for any reason, just go pick up the books and read them. Like go and do it. It is such gorgeous, gorgeous work. It's so fun. It's so funny. It's so transformative, so different and unique. Oh my gosh. Like nothing I've ever read. Is there anything else before we wrap up that you want to let people know whether it's about potentially beyond the book journeys, anything that you want to share? Because I love it.
1:40:59Marie Forleo:I'm not going to be like, you can't find this woman on social because she ain't there, which is perfect. She's going to be in the Elf of Forest doing her thing, playing with animals as she should be. Well, you can't find me anywhere. No, I know. Can I tell you, I need to say this because I've helped over - I'm literally in the forest. No, she's in the forest. And this is like the coolest thing ever. Cause you guys, again, if you know my work, you know that through my work in these past like 25 years, I've taught over 80 ,000 people how to start and grow businesses. And, um, like you can't basically come, you can't just sign up for a Carissa journey.
1:41:35Marie Forleo:You can't, it's just like, I remember that I was like, I love this woman. Like I have to find someone who knows her, who knows her to ask. And that is, but that's awesome because, and I say this to back up your integrity because I, this is my understanding, correct me if I'm wrong. It's like, who shows up at these things? The energy is very important because it's such a sacred space and people are so real and they're so gorgeous and beautiful and open and vulnerable and transparent about all the things that they're experiencing. And you hold that space so beautifully where it's not just like, not that no one's welcome, but it's, there is a gentle protective energy that, um, and that's vibe.
1:42:14Marie Forleo:And I'm just like, I love this woman. It's not everything at all costs or let's get as many people. I mean, the books and everything that you create, like anyone can read them. Wonderful. But you are such a great model standing in your integrity and also just being conscious of your energy field and the people in it. Regulating energy is so important when it comes to sacred experiences. And this is why I've said for a long time, like don't pedestal me. Like I am experiencing the journey alongside you. Like you were there on the New York journey where I'm like my struggles over like. Wait, can we talk about what you said?
1:42:57Marie Forleo:You said this city, by the way, she loves New York. Now, now I do. Now she loves New York when she's like, it's, what did you say it smells like desperation and subway tears and I howled so hard I laughed because I was like yeah a hundred percent that's my city oh my god I oh my god and you also said it's like a vortex of so much creation it is yes because all those things are true right well I had just I hadn't been in the city in 20 years and after being in a forest for 20 years and coming back to the city it's a lot we're a lot I know do you remember when I broke the escalator at the Bryant parks, Whole Foods.
1:43:32Marie Forleo:Yes. No, you did. And I was like, Chris, I reached, I said, look, can I please take you to the High Line? I'm like, we're not all subway tears and desperation and exhaustion. I promise you, like there's beautiful nature in the city. Let me just take you on a walk. And she was like, okay. Yeah. You like saved me. Well, I did. The High Line. Yeah. I scooped you up. I'm like, we have, we have nature. I couldn't take you to show you all of it, but at least there's a whole circuit and current in New York, but you are the only person that I would fly three like people are always like oh don't you do you want to come to a party like no no thank you I will invite myself home to my dogs and the couch but I get it I get it for you 3 ,000 miles ain't nothing for all that you do for us and all that you give to us and yes there are Journeys coming up Los Angeles in March.
1:44:26Elfin Forest in June for anyone that wants to come kick it with me and my forest. It's really awesome. And then we're going to do a Sedona next year as well, which is really special because that's like the mothership and where Journeys began and everything. Yeah. And the alchemy transmissions. And I do do private sessions as well for people that are interested in like that personal connection it's always really joyful and if anyone is in New York so I'm coming back um and I will be speaking on October 3rd at the 92nd street Y yes ma 'am and I believe you will be there yes I will be there 100 % so come say hi October 3rd 92nd street why but apart from that I have been reflecting so deeply recently on just sisterhood and all like we have I've seen you and some of your bigger egg in the face moments you've seen me and some of my biggest egg in the face moments and those are like the best moments.
1:45:39Yes. You know, where you just get to cry and snot and laughter and joy and celebration
1:45:47Marie Forleo:and you just get to experience all of it. Yes. With someone and with one another and that's, let's go for that. Yes. That it's human. What I love about Yeshua is that it's not all about divinity and na-da-da-da-da-da. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's not just about, you know, being alone and out in the world and achieving things. There's just this balance between our divinity and our humanity. And it's in some of the humanity that the divinity is the most poignant and the most powerful. So thank you to you. And thank you so much to your amazing community and listeners because you're the real deal. Oh, thank you so much.
1:46:31Marie Forleo:Well, we love you. Go get the books. Enjoy them. We hope to see you either in New York City in October. And I think it's live streamed as well. So don't worry. You don't have to buy a plane ticket if you're somewhere around the world. Yeah. I think it's going to be live streamed. And then you will be able to find Carissa. She's in, there's connections in all the books, just not on social. So I love you. I adore you. Thank you so much for being here. Love you. Namaste. Namaste. Hey, if you loved this video, you need to watch this one next. Trust me on that.
