It's Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026, and this is your AM Update. The use of the word artificial makes intelligence fake. It makes it sound fake.

36From this point forward, all of the United States documents will be changed to use the much more accurate term. President Trump making waves at the UN, laying out a stark choice for Iran, signing a deal over Greenland, and deciding artificial intelligence officially has a new name. Actress Hayden Penetier's cause of death revealed. My goal was not only just for the productivity and the psychoactive benefits of methamphetamine, it was also for the appetite suppression, right? Trying to looks max a little bit with meth. The looks maxing influencer known as clavicular, potentially facing rape and drugging charges in a case involving a 17-year-old and he's pushing back.

19And Mother Nature serving up two very different hurricane seasons. A Cat 5 storm off the Pacific coast of Mexico and an Atlantic still waiting on its first hurricane. All that and more coming up in just a moment on your AM update.

General Assembly yesterday, delivering a wide-ranging address before moving through a packed schedule of meetings with world leaders. The day bringing a new deal on Greenland, an attempted rebrand of AI, and a series of high stakes conversations as the president lays out his vision for American power abroad.

00His starkest warning from the U.N. lectern directed at Iran. But I have a big decision to make. Will a deal be made with Iran that lets them rebuild and create a far greater country than it ever was before? Or do I annihilate the Islamic Republic and do it quickly, never giving them a chance to kill and destroy people and countries again? They're waiting to see how I do in the midterm election. What they don't realize is that I'm not running. I did that already and won in a landslide and I'll be here for two and a half years. The Republican Party is running and I'll be helping them. But I am not running.

46I gave absolutely no credence and will not give credence to the election when it comes to Iran. It doesn't even enter my mind. The only thing that does is that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. Mr. Trump also calling on other countries to cut Iran off economically until it stops attacking commercial ships, abandons its nuclear ambitions, and ends its support for terror. Turning to the Western Hemisphere, the president touting last month's Venezuela oil deal, which he said covers 65 billion barrels. Mr. Trump using the U.S. operation that removed Nicolas Maduro as a warning to other governments in the region.

30When you add the United States and Venezuela together, we have more than 60 % of the oil in the world. So it's perhaps the biggest deal. It was a war, but it's perhaps the biggest deal ever made. To the victor belong the spoils. You've all heard that. Our actions in Venezuela are proof that the United States will no longer permit threats to America to gain a foothold anywhere in the Western Hemisphere. And if necessary, we will use our unmatched military might to secure the vital national interests of the United States. From Venezuela, the president turning his attention to Cuba, where he says U.S.

12pressure is opening the door to a very different future for the island. My administration is also seeking a fundamental change in the situation in Cuba, where the communist regime is under great pressure, the biggest pressure they've ever been under. Marco Rubio is handling a negotiation. Will not allow a haven for foreign adversaries to threaten America on our own doorstep. It's right at our doorstep. The Cuban regime has also spent decades coordinating with the left-wing radicals and communist networks here in the United States. As our State Department has detailed, they've cultivated ties to subversive and radical groups such as the Communist Party USA, Antifa and the Democrat Socialists of America.

01Communism will never be coming to America, but freedom will be coming to Cuba. The Cuban delegation leaving during that portion of the speech. Then the president announcing a new rebrand after his ex-poll last weekend. The United States also totally rejects any attempt to construct a globalist scheme to control for the artificial intelligence being spoken of so much now, here and after officially called super intelligence, changing the name, and that the use of the word artificial makes intelligence fake. It makes it sound fake. From this point forward, all of United States documents and hopefully the worlds will be changed to use the much more accurate term super as opposed to artificial.

51Every major new technology brings challenges and super intelligence is no exception yet the very same people who said we'll all be dead in 12 years because of global warming these are the same people that are now saying that ai is going to kill us all whoever wins ai you have to remember this and now i say whoever wins si whoever wins super intelligent wins that's the group that wins after months of threatening to acquire Greenland, President Trump signing a new security agreement with Danish and Greenlandic leaders on the U.N. sidelines. The pact keeping the Arctic island under Danish sovereignty while allowing construction of two new U.S.

36military bases and a Golden Dome missile defense system for America. Mr. Trump saying the deal gives the U.S. lasting control over Greenland's security, including the power to block American adversaries from establishing bases or investing in strategic infrastructure on the island. During a later meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Mr. Trump revealing that U.S. and Iranian officials had held three hours of talks earlier in the day. The president describing the meeting as, quote, very good and saying another is expected soon without detailing what the two sides discussed. Actress Hayden Penetier's death officially ruled an accident.

16the Greenville County Coroner's Office announcing the 36-year-old died from the toxic effects of fentanyl and several other medications. The coroner identifying those substances as 4-ANPP, a chemical byproduct associated with fentanyl, alprozolam, commonly sold as Xanax, the muscle relaxant metharbamol, and the antipsychotic medication quetiapine. Panettiere previously speaking publicly about her struggles with drugs and alcohol, along with chronic pain from injuries she said she suffered during her acting career. The autopsy finding no signs of trauma that contributed to her death, the Heroes and Nashville star found unresponsive August 16th inside a Greenville, South Carolina apartment where she had been temporarily staying.

04First responders arriving after a 911 call reporting a cardiac arrest, then unsuccessfully attempting to resuscitate her. Panettiere's on-again, off-again boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, and his brother reportedly at the apartment at the time. A police report showing Hickerson directing an officer to a bag containing medications Panettiere had been taking. Hickerson has not been accused of wrongdoing in connection with her death. Despite the coroner classifying the death as accidental, authorities continuing to investigate where that fentanyl came from. Sources telling ABC News the DEA is examining whether Panettiere obtained the fentanyl in California or South Carolina.

44Investigators also reportedly focusing on whether Panettiere took a counterfeit oxycodone pill containing fentanyl before her death, questioning several people about who may have supplied it. Coming up, the looks-maxing influencer known as Clavicular now facing potential rape and drugging charges, and a hurricane exploding into a Cat 5 off of Mexico's coast as the Atlantic Basin reaches a hurricane-free milestone not seen in more than a century.

40The 20-year-old influencer, whose real name is Brayden Peters, building an enormous online following by promoting looks maxing. the practice of taking sometimes extreme or dangerous measures to enhance physical appearance. Peters charged with one count of rape, one count of administering a substance for sexual intercourse, and one count of procuring alcohol for someone under 21. Peters was also underage at the time of the alleged event. A clerk magistrate, which is a judicial officer assigned to handle lower administrative functions at a court, reportedly finding probable cause for the charges on September 4th, a criminal complaint issued September 8th.

22Online publication The Bulwark first reporting the criminal case, which stems from Peters' alleged May 23, 2025 encounter with another influencer who was 17 years old at the time. Peters was 19. The accuser previously describing the alleged encounter in a civil lawsuit filed against Peters in Florida. The Associated Press obtaining a Chatham, Massachusetts police report outlining the same alleged assault described in the accuser's Florida civil case. In that report, the teenager telling investigators Peters recruited her to appear in his looks-maxing content while allegedly knowing she was only 17.

02Peters accused of directing the teen to present herself to viewers as an 18-year-old and to describe the vodka he provided as water. The accuser claims she consumed roughly two or three shots during the live stream, leaving her heavily intoxicated. At one point, the teenager reportedly warning Peters, quote, wait, I'm so drunk though. Peters replying, quote, it's okay, before kissing her. The civil lawsuit also accuses Peters of injecting the accuser's cheeks several months later with the fat-dissolving substance Aqualix during another live stream, despite not being licensed to perform the procedure.

38Peters' attorney denies the civil allegations. Peters responding to the accuser on ex-Monday by posting a letter she allegedly sent him after the encounter, along with a video in which she reportedly described Peters as, quote, super nice, saying he sent her home in an Uber right after and calling the injection, quote, fun. Peters accusing her of trying to get his attention through the lawsuit, describing the case as, quote, really petty. Peters' publicist, Mitchell Jackson, telling NPR his client denies the allegations, a representative for Peters telling multiple outlets, Clavicular has not been arrested at this time.

15Peters is scheduled to be arraigned October 14th. A tale of two oceans unfolding this hurricane season, a monster storm exploding in the Pacific, while the Atlantic remains historically quiet. Hurricane Polo churning just off Mexico's southwestern coast as a Category 5 storm, though forecasters currently expect its most destructive winds to remain over the water. Polo reaching 165 mph Tuesday after undergoing an extraordinary transformation, growing from a tropical storm into the most powerful class of hurricane in roughly one day. CNN reporting Polo gained 110 mph in wind speed during that period, nearly twice what meteorologists consider the standard for extreme rapid intensification.

06The hurricane moving alongside Mexico's coastline, bringing the threat of heavy rain, flooding, mudslides, and dangerous surf, even without a direct landfall. Helping drive Polo's sudden rise? Unusually warm Pacific water linked to this year's powerful El Nino. The naturally occurring climate pattern also changing wind conditions across the two oceans, generally helping storms grow in the Pacific while making the Atlantic less hospitable. Fox Weather reporting the Pacific has produced 18 named storms, including six hurricanes and four major hurricanes. The Atlantic producing just six named storms at all and no hurricanes, reaching this point in the season without one for the first time in 112 years.

52Tropical storm Faye briefly approaching hurricane strength Sunday before weakening into a tropical depression Tuesday, forecasters expecting the system to dissipate over the open Atlantic. Fox Weather notes 1914 and 1907 are the only years on record to finish without an Atlantic hurricane, though storms could have gone undetected before the satellite era. The 2026 hurricane season is still far from over, officially continuing through November 30th. And that'll do it for your AM update. I'm Megan Kelly.
