We have it all caught on tape as well. Have you heard the story of Kenny Lanez Ambrosio in Florida? Have you heard this story where he was profiled? He is a citizen and they said, you ain't a citizen.
0:48Ben Meiselas:You're an illegal brother. He goes, what are you talking about? I'm a citizen. I'm born and raised in West Palm Beach. He was able to secretly record the border agents and the Florida Highway Patrol working with ICE and the border agents. And then you hear them after his unlawful arrest say, oh, we could have like killed him and we're going to get$30 ,000 bounty for what we've done to him. High five. Well, we got you on tape. Here, play this clip. Y 'all scaring the dude, bro. That's not how you arrest people. What? I got rights to talk, bro. You got no rights here. I do. Get up. I was born and raised here.
1:28I was born and raised here. I was born and raised here. Oh, wait. Wait. Hey. Hey. You can't grab me like that. Hey. You can't grab me like that. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. That's not how you arrest me. You're under the ground. That's not how you arrest me. What's all I doing, bro? Hey, hey, Kelly, no resiste. No resiste. What am I doing? Hey, hey, hey, Kelly. Hey, y 'all can't. Get on the ground. All right, bro. You can't be doing that. I'm from here also. Get on the ground. Bro, what y 'all doing, bro? All right, wait, hold on. Hey, wait. You stay. Hey. No, you stay over there. Come, bro, what y 'all doing, bro?
2:17That's not how you arrest people. That's not. You can kindly take him out. That's it. That's how simple, bro. But y 'all doing it, y 'all making it so difficult. Why y 'all making it so difficult? Nah, for real. Is that your taser or that? No, that's a taser. All right. I know. You got hit? No, I didn't hit him. Oh, OK. There you go. All right. No, once you got that proper spurt out of him, he's gone. He's funny, bro. He's funny. He doesn't. He does.
2:52that's what we take starting to resist we're going to end up if you can go right here we're going to start fighting god damn nice remember you can smell that too yeah
3:14Ben Meiselas:next I want to show you from Florida to Chicago, a Chicago man handcuffed and dragged out of his car at a gas station. He begs to hold his daughter one more time. Please, my daughter, I need to see my daughter before you take me. He frantically calls out trying to just see her, but the agents say, nope, you don't get to see her. See you later. You're disappeared. Bye bye to your family. Look, it happens. Watch it here. Play this clip.
4:15Oh It's the ice. Liga! Liga! Espera! Por favor! No! Liga! No! Liga! Liga! Ayúdenme! No! No! No!
4:53Ben Meiselas:Next, I want to show you ICE disappearing a US citizen without formally booking him for 10 hours just for filming them. The man filming told the border patrol agents, it's the most horrific thing. And the agents are like, are you threatening me? Are you threatening me here play this clip.
5:41phone.
5:50Ben Meiselas:Now, our friend Sandy Batcham, she writes about how there was, she recorded this, a horrific arrest today at immigration court. You know, she films all this stuff. A very young man who didn't speak English, only Arabic, was granted a continuance by a federal judge until 2027. He left court and then he was violently arrested by ICE agents. Just watch what happens as they take him, manhandle him and throw him into a cell. Here, play this clip.
7:06Ben Meiselas:Now, as this other account says, you know, I think some of these immigration judges are delaying on purpose. Makes me wonder how much ICE is paying them. I'm not sure they're paying the immigration judges, but ICE, the ICE agents are getting a bounty. You know, whether it's 30 ,000 or 1 ,500, you know, a human being, they're getting rewarded. And this is from the disastrous budget bill. They get bonuses for disappearing humans and throwing you into concentration camps in the United States. A horrific video. You saw that video, right? We showed it to you. All right. Next, I want to after you watch that video, I want to show you this one.
7:40Ben Meiselas:ICE arrested the only black officer at a small town Maine police department. And they said the black officer is an illegal immigrant. He has a legal work permit that doesn't expire until March 2030. Maine law allows immigrants to work as police officers. But this is who they target. This is who they target law enforcement, because ICE is a rogue criminal cartel. Here play this clip. The police chief in Old Orchard Beach is speaking out and firing back at the federal government after one of the town's police officers was arrested by ICE. Good evening. Thanks for joining us. I'm Marissa Bodner. At the center of all this is John Luke Evans.
8:18He's a recently hired summer reserve police officer in Old Orchard Beach. The Department of Homeland Security says Evans is an illegal immigrant from Jamaica who overstayed his visa when he flew into Miami in September of 2023. Homeland Security says the ATF flagged Evans when he tried to buy a firearm, which he was planning to use as a police officer. He was then taken into custody by ICE, where he remains. Patricia Hyde, the field office director for ICE Boston, blasting the OOB Police Department, writing in part, quote, the fact that a police department would hire an illegal alien and unlawfully issue him a firearm while on duty would be comical if it weren't so tragic.
8:57We have a police department that was knowingly breaking the very law they are charged with enforcing in order to employ an illegal alien, end quote. Tonight, the Old Orchard Beach police chief issuing a response, saying the Department of Homeland Security signed off on Officer Evans' right to work. Chief Elise Shard writes, quote, as part of the hiring process, the town reviewed multiple forms of identification, including photo identification and submitted Evans's I-9 form to the Department of Homeland Security's e-Verify program. The Department of Homeland Security then verified that Evans was authorized to work in the U.S.
9:33The form was submitted and approved by DHS on May 12, 2025, end quote. They also claim he is authorized to work in the United States until the year 2030. It's not clear what's next in this case. We'll bring you any new information as we get it.
9:47Ben Meiselas:So a quick PSA for those of you on Medicare. The DOJ recently sued three of the largest Medicare brokers and carriers for allegedly deceiving customers claiming to be unbiased while pushing them into plans that don't actually cover their needs, all to make a few extra bucks. Let's be real. between Medicare scams, shady agents, and bloated insurance companies. It's way too easy to get stuck in a plan that's overpriced or just plain wrong for you. That is why I'm working with Chapter. They are the only advisors that compare every Medicare plan nationwide, and they tailor their recommendation to you so you get the coverage that fits your needs and saves you the most money.
10:34Ben Meiselas:And the best part, Chapter's help is completely free. Completely free. There's no sales pressure, no pushing plans you don't need, just real advice that puts you first. People save an average of$1 ,100 by using Chapter. So if you're turning 65 soon or are already on Medicare, call them up at 82 Medicare. You won't regret it. Most people just wish they'd call sooner. Once again, give them a call. That's 82-MEDICARE, 82-MEDICARE. Give them a call. Most people wish that they'd call sooner. Call 82-MEDICARE. Next, you have Texas families exposing inhumane conditions at ICE detention centers. 30 people crammed in a cell with only one toilet.
11:25Ben Meiselas:They can't bathe. They have no beds or chairs and only given frozen food. It's a room with a toilet seat where everyone has to turn around when someone has to relieve themselves in front of each other. Here, play this clip. Two women detailing inhumane conditions. They asked for anonymity to protect their husbands, who they say were detained during routine ICE check-ins, and held in Dallas for days. He told me they were crowded, she said, that there were around 30 people in a single cell, that they couldn't bathe, that they were only given frozen food.
12:06The other woman adding there are no beds or chairs. It's a room with a toilet seat where everyone has to turn around when someone wants to relieve themselves. Both say their spouse has no criminal record. If the stories are true, there are people being held there for multiple days and even longer than a week in conditions that are not intended to be where people are housed and this gave us great concern. Kessler Park United Methodist Senior Pastor Eric Folkworth is among clergy who heard from concerned families during a routine vigil outside of the ICE office this past Monday. If people are being held longer than a few hours in a center that is only meant to do intake then I think we should all have some moral questions about how the treatment of people in this situation.
12:56Community group Vecinos Unidos is also demanding answers, saying in a statement today that eyewitness accounts share during phone calls with family members detail no air conditioning, running water, or medical oversight. Late tonight, a spokesperson for ICE released a statement which reads in part, ICE has legal authority to temporarily house illegal aliens while they are being processed after their arrest. Any allegations that these processing centers do not have beds, running water, or other basic essentials are fault.
13:27Ben Meiselas:I'll share with you this clip right here of what it's like to witness an ICE arrest inside a New York City immigration courthouse. Let's play it. In lower Manhattan, where masked immigration agents have been apprehending people outside of their routine immigration court check-ins, it's been happening almost every single day for the better part of the last two months, and we came here to witness it for ourselves. As of mid-June, ICE was detaining nearly 60 ,000 people. That's almost 45 % above the capacity that was funded by Congress. And according to recent reporting from the New York outlet, the city inside this building, 26 Federal Plaza apprehensions and hours spent in detention skyrocketed earlier this summer.
14:01An average of 89 people were detained inside 26 Federal Plaza each night in June, more in May and June alone than the first four months of the year combined.
14:14In just five hours inside 26 Federal Plaza, I saw armed and masked federal agents apprehending five different migrants who had appeared for their immigration hearings. This isn't a normal or longstanding practice. It is a new directive by the Trump administration playing out on several floors of this building. There are multiple floors inside this building, 26 Federal Plaza, where there are immigration courts, and that's where hearings are happening. And then those mass federal agents are detaining migrants who are coming out of their regularly scheduled immigration check, and some who are getting court dates to come back in the future, yet they're being detained.
14:45And then they're being held on the 10th floor of this building in a makeshift detention center where advocates and lawyers are saying people are being held longer than they're supposed to and in inhumane conditions. Access to that 10th floor isn't permitted. But in two videos obtained by the organization, the New York Immigration Coalition, you can apparently see one of the holding rooms on that floor where around two dozen men are being held. Some are sitting on benches, some with those aluminum emergency blankets. DHS tells us that, quote, 26 Federal Plaza is not a detention center. It's a federal building with an ICE law enforcement office inside of it.
15:18and that, quote, any claim there's overcrowding or subprime conditions is categorically false.
15:29But a surge of immigration courthouse arrests and detentions across the country are why several organizations are suing the administration, alleging that these practices are violating the due process rights of the people in its custody. Lawyers and advocates say this is all part of Stephen Miller's grand plan of arresting 3 ,000 undocumented people a day. But like what we've all been seeing playing out on the streets of Los Angeles, these arrests affect far more than the worst of the worst criminals the administration had said they were going to go after in this mass deportation campaign. Also in May and June, almost 70 % of those arrested at 26 Federal Plaza hadn't been convicted of any crime.
16:03And like LA, the collateral effect of these raids touches people not detained, including the many families that I saw roaming the hallways. Little children at their parents' hearings walking around with these agents towering over them.
16:16Ben Meiselas:Here's the latest on Reza Zavar. Her brother was walking the dog, then ICE took him. Miriam tells Reza Zavar's story. Here, watch this. It was the morning of June 28th. It was a Saturday morning. As usual, he was at my mom's place. He took Duke, his dog, for his morning walk. And after a while, there was a knock on the door. My mom answered the door. She saw two men in uniform with Duke at the door. She said the officers asked her, is this your dog? That's the only thing they said. and the first thing that came to my mom's mind was that Marisa was hit by a car and his dead were in a really bad condition.
17:12They're bringing the dog home. She said, this is my son's dog. Where's my son? And they repeated the question, this is your dog. Can you take him? my mom took the leash and asked them where's my son but they did not answer
17:32he calls us every day talk to him on my mom and i talk to him on daily basis yes the Baltimore facility was absolutely horrible my uncle drove there to give him some clothes because he was cold so when he called he said can you bring some clothes for me and cold they did not allow us to deliver the clothes to them. They had 20 of them in a cell. There was one bathroom for them. They slept on the floor. They gave them, I guess, some bedding, maybe a blanket to sleep on the floor. He said it was horrible. He couldn't make a shower, so it was bad. The conditions at Port Isabel is not good either.
18:19He says that the lights are always on. It's always bright. It's very noisy. He can't sleep at night. The bathrooms are not private. They're open. They don't refill the soap dispensers. He said last time it took three days for them to refill the soap spencers. And that was after he said that he was going to complain and talk to the inspectors. He said something very disturbing today. He said there are feces everywhere. They don't provide enough cleaning tools. So people, they have inmates clean the plates, detainees. They have to use the same brush for the toilet to clean the showers. Every time he complains to the officers, they say, okay, no, we're bringing soap.
19:20And the detainees are responsible for giving food and there was no soap.
19:25Ben Meiselas:Here's another story right here about inside an ICE detention facility. Let's play it. How are you doing?
19:33Just here, trying to get through every other day. Are they feeding you guys? At the LA holding facility, man, everybody was fucking. And I've already seen a couple older men pass away here, so it's not the best condition. There's a lot of systematic racism in here, I'll say that. People taking advantage of people that don't speak English. There's some older man had a stroke and he hit his head on a toilet. And the toilet's had metal frames and he just started blessing his blood from his head. I don't necessarily know he passed away, but we've never saw him again. He got separated from everything he passed away.
20:32You
