In short

Escalating war in Ukraine and spillover effects on U.S. cost of living; alleged U.S. market manipulation around oil/diesel; criticism of Trump administration policies (tariffs, sanctions approach, AI deregulation, and “Operation Epic Fury”); claims about Russian drone warfare and winter risks; political outlook for the 2026 midterms.

Guest backgrounds

No guests are identified in the transcript; it appears to be a solo host episode by Ben Meiselas.

Key claims

Russia is escalating strikes near Poland/Belarus and across Ukrainian cities (Kyiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa). New Russian Garan-4/Garan-5 jet-fueled drones are harder for Ukraine to intercept; Ukraine lacks Patriot/THAAD interceptors due to U.S. shortfalls. Trump’s tariffs worsen inflation; oil/diesel prices are manipulated in futures markets while spot prices reflect reality; 30-year Treasury yields rising toward ~6% drive mortgage rates toward ~8%. Trump’s sanctions law (Lindsey Graham Act) won’t be implemented. “America.gov” chat bot is used for propaganda.

Notable examples

drone strikes on Kyiv’s National Academy of Sciences center; Dobrobot Medical Center; a truck near the Belarus border; discussion of Marines aboard a civilian tanker (St. Helena) near the Strait of Hormuz; claims about children facing deportation hearings without lawyers.

0:00Ben Meiselas:This has been on Breaking News. I'm Ben Meiselas and this is your Breaking News. War continues to escalate in Ukraine. Russia's war on Ukraine is indeed escalating. We've been hearing from a number of European countries and Eastern Europe and elsewhere as their air force is on high alert after recent Russian strikes in Ukraine right by the border with Poland. You also have Ukraine strikes in Russia near the border with Belarus. You have Russian strikes throughout Ukraine in Kiev, in Zyprosia, in Odessa, and generally throughout Ukraine. I mean, we've been covering the Dnepro. We've been covering everything that's been going down on a daily basis.

0:50Ben Meiselas:Frankly, it shocks my conscience that corporate news or news in general is not reporting about the wars raging across the world. I mean, I remember growing up when there was a war, there was a national consciousness that the war was taking place, especially if there were to be a war with world war potential as we're seeing unfold right now. And the images and videos are there for us to see. I mean, there are people in Kiev, there are people inside Russia, there are people in Poland who are taking these videos and they're accessible. And so to me, it is part of a duty of the media to be able to report on what's actually happening.

1:36Ben Meiselas:And look, the Trump regime is pushing all of their propaganda. I mean, they really started this week with the fire hose of even more market manipulation than we've seen before. Now we're hearing, actually, there's more oil leaving the Strait of Hormuz than before the war. Oh, it's gotten better, everybody. It's gotten better. I mean, do you just think we're that stupid? But the markets get manipulated on this. For short bursts, you'll see 3 % to 5 % drops in the price of oil. You don't see the concomitant drops, however, in diesel. Diesel futures are up 14 cents today. Yes, you saw a slight reprieve based on the market manipulation when it came to Brent and WTI right there, but it's just sheer market manipulation and what, I don't know, appalls, fascinates, grosses me out all at once is seemingly smart people who, even a group of people, I mean, look, there's obviously the people I don't respect.

2:44Ben Meiselas:There are the liars. There are the propagandists. There are just the awful, evil, demonic people who just want to screw us all over. I'm not talking about that group, But there were even people who I thought were decent reporters or people with decent perspective. And as soon as Axios goes and reports the latest market manipulation, they regurgitate this stuff as though it's true. I mean, look, this is a Trump regime that said in April, in three days, Iran was going to blow up because its pipes would get so congested with oil because the embargo was working so well that Iran couldn't take it anymore.

3:25And it's like, here we are, approaching October. The U.S. doesn't control the Strait of Hormuz.

3:32Ben Meiselas:If we did control the Strait of Hormuz, you know what would happen? you would be able to sail US aircraft carriers and destroyers into the Strait of Hormuz. That's what we would see. So we don't control the Strait of Hormuz. In fact, what we learn each day is two weeks ago, there's actually eight Marines who were aboard a tanker, a civilian tanker, which now appears to be the St. Helena, which became a floating armory where our Marines are, what, cannon fodder for Iran, and they're being used as, I don't know what, to help certain other tankers go through the southern route of the Strait of Hormuz.

4:19Even if these other ships are getting through the Strait of Hormuz because we now are placing the lives of our Marines at risk by putting them on tankers, which seems to be what we're doing, you do realize that the overall, because we don't control the Strait of Hormuz, the premium, the value that has been added, or not value, the cost that has been added to the tankers now leaving the Strait of Hormuz is far more than the war began. So even if you say ships are getting out, which I don't believe

4:50Ben Meiselas:they are, I don't believe that is happening because I see the prices of diesel. I see the prices of gas. We can actually see on satellite imagery, the ships. We know what's going in, we know what's going on. But even if they were getting out, the cost of getting them out is so much more money because of the amount of one insurance rate hikes that exist right now. And also the amount of costs that the ships are now going to be charging in order to facilitate the process because of the risk involved because the US doesn't control the Strait of Hormuz. So I think the graph that's telling is seeing that diesel's continuing to rise, right?

5:32What's being sold from the refinery, which is ultimately what you and I fill up our cars or trucks with, cars with gas, trucks with diesel, those prices are going up because the paper market is being manipulated, but the spot market, what we're actually paying is reflecting what's really happening. Don't even get me started on the treasury yields and the bond market. The reason that the 30-year treasury yield, it's like a vertical line at this point, heading up basically to 6 % right now. I mean, that's at 5.6, 5.65 % on the 30-year yield. That's the interest the United States has to pay when it basically sells these bonds, which equals around$1.35 trillion a year that we have to pay now to service the debt that's being issued because no one wants to hold our bonds anymore.

6:32Our paper, that's going up because guess what? The market is pricing that the US doesn't control the straight up removes. The tariffs against the world are a disaster. The US is basically being viewed like a chaotic developing nation at this point. And that's why you're seeing, that's what I'm paying attention to. And I just wish people could explain this to other people. It's why we talk about this in the community. I say, look at the price. The refineries are like, let's use common sense. When oil leaves the Strait of Hormuz, it doesn't end there. The oil has to be refined. It has to be refined into gas, diesel, jet fuel, and other things.

7:17What is that being sold for? Because maybe that's relevant to the inquiry into what you and I are actually paying. What are the treasury yields at? Because that also impacts the way interest rates do. It impacts what you're paying when you take out a loan. Mortgages. There's a reason that the 30-year fixed mortgage, it's like approaching 8 % soon. It's like 7.3%, 7.4%. The other day was 7.5%. And it fluctuates from day to day, but that's heading up. So people can't afford homes. They can't take out loans right now. And what the market is now pricing in is like 125 more basis points in interest rates rising.

8:01Like there should be four, maybe five more interest rate hikes now. that will be taking place in the next year or so, when if Donald Trump did nothing and just let Biden's economy go on autopilot and not do anything, we would have had three interest rate cuts. And so now we're probably going to have three to five interest rate hikes. It's a swing of about 225 basis points from the cuts that were supposed to take place to now about 125 to 150 basis points increasing. And what this means is it makes the cost of living that much more damn difficult. And this is why, you know, when Darlene Graham and these MAGA Republicans are like, we don't care about them.

8:52We don't care about them foreign events. Our voters aren't asking us about them, about them wars or about them, Taiwan. First off, I think voters are. I think

9:04Ben Meiselas:voters are smarter than what you're saying. I think they understand that what's happening impacts here, but that's the issue. What's happening across the world right now is what is impacting prices here. Trump's trade war against the world, his tariffs against the world. Shocker, it's causing the inflation that every economist warned about because that's what tariffs do. There's a reason that the lesson from history was that tariffs were a accelerant and perhaps a cause of a Great Depression. Let's not repeat the stupidity just because we have an idiot and dumb sex predator in the Oval Office who likes the freaking word tariff.

9:49That's dumb. And that will hurt the people. And we're seeing that hurt the people. Hurts people. Catastrophic wars. There's a reason that the American people don't want never-ending wars or we don't want any more never-ending wars. We don't want our money being used to engage in war crimes and to kill children and to slaughter people. That's not where we want our taxpayer dollars going to. We wanted to help American people out. We wanted to be good citizens of the world, not to kill people, not to say last year Iran's nuclear capabilities are totally obliterated, total obliteration, but then say we have to invade with Netanyahu because we need to shut down the nuclear facilities that we said were totally obliterated.

10:33despite 25 years ago also the United States saying Iran was weeks from getting a nuclear weapon. You go back 30 years, basically, you have Netanyahu saying Iran was about to get a nuclear weapon every two weeks for a 30-year period. Enough is enough. We're not buying it. And it's not a talking point. It's not political messaging when we talk about cost of living. This isn't some like, Can I push somebody two points to vote Democratic if I say cost of living? No, people are suffering right now. Cost of living means people in the United States are having trouble living. And the Trump regime has made it so much damn worse in every aspect, from ripping away people's health care to screwing people when they fill up their gas, when they shop for groceries, when they can't get jobs, when they're not getting paid with dignity.

11:27There's a reason consumer confidence is at an all-time low. I go now to where I started, and that is war is raging across the world. Donald Trump promised if you elect him in 24 hours, he would be able to stop the war in Ukraine. Trump said he had magic words. He would say these magic words to Putin. He would say these magic words to Zelensky. and then the war would end. He couldn't tell you what those magic words were because they're super secret during the campaign, but he would use those words, the big words, the hugest words imaginable. They would be unleashed if you elected him. Okay. So what were those words?

12:15Ben Meiselas:Zelensky, you want to do a deal? Putin, you want to do a deal? No, oh you don't you don't why oh you want to take over Ukraine you don't want to give up Ukraine oh you sure you don't want to do a deal deal but deal do we do a deal I do good deal you want to do a deal it's like that was the plan are we really that dumb that's what you were that a deal? I do deals, everybody. Did you know I do deals? I do the biggest deals. The American people know this is all one massive fraud, one massive deal turd, someone who can't do deals at all, someone who is only capable of destroying and blaming, never a builder, always a destroyer, never a dealmaker, always a breacher of agreements.

13:17And we're seeing that play out. I mean, you just heard Motion Rasai. He is one of the main advisors to Mojtaba Khamenei. And he was like, we gave terms to Trump and Trump is incapable of making decisions. So we've written off any ability to make a deal with the United States. The guy is incapable of doing a deal.

13:44Ben Meiselas:He's not able to do one at all. That's just Trump. He's a loser. He's a loser. And you saw what happened on the world stage at the UN. You saw what happened when he had Xi Jinping show up and Trump had our service members get down on their knees for Xi. Literally, our Air Force personnel and our army got down on their knees for Xi, while Trump showed Xi a shrine that he built for Xi. And then Trump and all of the MAGA cabinet did a whole massive state banquet for Xi. A state banquet in Xi's honor, partying with Xi and the CCPA, you know me. That's what Donald Wall said. Oh, we're worried about communism coming into the United Cana, like the Democrat, communist.

14:42Ben Meiselas:Really? How utterly pathetic. And then we learn, of course, this isn't a shocker, but Iran providing, being provided satellite footage from China, dual component parts to build drones from China. By the way, the Houthis, dual component parts from China. Of course, where do you think it's coming from? Where do you think the Garen-4 and Garen-5 drones, those are those new Russia jet-fueled drones. The Garen-5 is sometimes called a drone. I look at it like a hybrid. It's a bit of a cruise missile, but it has some drone capabilities. The Garen 4 is clearly a drone, jet-fueled. Where do you think the parts are?

15:24They're all Chinese parts. And some of the semiconductor chips are US companies. Yeah, the same people who were partying with Donald Trump today, Enwitchi, all the AI billionaires and tech billionaires and data center billionaires, their parts end up in those Garen 4, Garen 5 Russian drones. And when you deconstruct it, that's actually what you see. I brought on lawyers

15:48Ben Meiselas:who had actually brought lawsuits against some of these big tech companies and these semiconductor companies because their parts are all finding their way into these Russian drones and there's no control mechanism. Let me show you what's taking place though right now. A Russian Garin-5 drone striking a truck parking area one kilometer from Poland's border. Let's play this clip.

16:30Ben Meiselas:Poland, all these European countries, high alert, high alert, high alert. Let's take a look at what happened in Dnipro, where a strike on the city center business center over there. This is right in the heart of Dnipro, which is a little southeast of Kiev, if you're looking on a map, by the Dnipro River. Here, play this clip.

17:16in kiev the national academy of science center in the city center of kiev hit by a drone and then you had all of these people trying to escape through the windows as the fire department was putting these ladders up. A harrowing scene indeed. Here, play this clip. Oh my God, this is just me. Oh my God.

17:46Ben Meiselas:Oh my God, what a horror. Russia bombed the Dobrobot Medical Center in Ukraine's capital, Kiev. Here, play this clip.

18:08Ben Meiselas:Now I'll take you to the Russian Belarusian border where there was a drone attack on a truck. This was very, very close to Belarus's border. This is believed to be a Ukrainian drone. Here, let's play this clip.

18:53sterk

19:01Ben Meiselas:Every day we see this taking place. I want to prepare people for what's happening right now in this winter. There's no shock. So Russia's been able to develop these Garen 4, Garen 5, jet-fueled drones. The Garen 5 is a bit of a hybrid. To me, it looks more like a cruise missile, but some people call it a drone. Any event, Ukraine really struggles to strike these Garen-4 and Garen-5s with drone interceptors that worked against the older Shaheed models. These are like advanced Shaheeds. They took the kind of Iranian Shaheed and they added more jet power to it. They go much faster. They're hard to intercept.

19:41Ben Meiselas:The worry that Zelensky had heading into the winter is that Russia was stockpiling ballistics and cruise missiles, but particularly the ballistics were impossible for Ukraine to strike down without the Patriot and THAAD interceptors. You needed the ballistic interceptors. Trump promised Zelensky the interceptors, or at least interceptor licenses, and then never delivered that. And then the U.S. ran out of its own interceptors in the catastrophic war with Iran. The U.S. had to pull interceptors away from Asia and Europe and other areas as well. And then the U.S. ran out of those kind of supplemental interceptors.

20:23Ben Meiselas:Every time those Patriots shoot Patriot PAC-3 interceptors, about$4 million per interceptor, they shoot two at the same time,$8 million to basically shoot down a cruise missile or a ballistic missile. The cheaper cruise missiles can cost$150 ,000,$200 ,000. The drones cost about$30 ,000 to$50 ,000. So we're using, what,$8 million to shoot down things that are, let's say, blended rate of$100 ,000. The THAAD interceptors are about$11 million per interceptor. So you shoot two at the same time, which is how they're made to shoot two. $22 million every THAAD interceptor to shoot down$100 ,000 drone slash cruise missile, if you will.

21:11Ben Meiselas:You see how unsustainable that is? Okay. So the big fear was the ballistics. And now you add something to that, the drones. Zelinsky used to be able to strike down the drones, 90 % interception rate on the drones with the old Shahids. and the issue was the ballistics, basically 0 % interception rate. Now, 0 % interception rate on the ballistics and at most a 51 % interception rate of the Garen-4, Garen-5. Well, Garen-4, Garen-5 is lower than that. So just blend it and say about a 35 % interception rate or 30 % interception rate on the new Garen models. Okay? So now we're heading into the winter.

21:57Ben Meiselas:There was a stalemate on the front where because of the advancements in drone warfare, you basically had trench warfare of World War I with drones, right? So imagine, you don't have to imagine, you can see it. Trench warfare, but with drones and modern technology and autonomous death killing machines right there. So someone would just go a little bit at the front, boom, wiped out. Everyone would die right away. And so no one was advancing at the front. So now you have this escalation where you have the city centers and areas being struck in Kiev by Russia. You have Zelensky and Ukraine striking logistical centers in Russia while Russia strikes in Kiev in these areas.

22:40Ben Meiselas:And this is getting worse and worse and worse by the day. I'm preparing. This is what's going on. This is just an objective reality. As every day progresses, things get worse. That's why I'm covering it right now, because I don't see this coverage in many other places. And it's critical we know what the hell is happening. And of course, this is impacting us here at home as well. And also just as global citizens, we should care about this. But this is going to impact us at home as well. And when the U.S. invades Venezuela and steals the resources, it gives Russia the easiest out. Russia goes, you're going to lecture us on Ukraine?

23:19Ben Meiselas:Y 'all stole the gold and oil from Venezuela. You don't have moral authority to lecture us about what we're doing. Do you see how that any former president could have taken over Venezuela? So why don't you do it? One, we shouldn't be stealing and conquering and taking resources of weaker nations. But why is it that bigger nations don't just pillage and steal from weaker nations all the time? That existed before in the world. And that brought us to world wars. So we created an architecture to try to avoid that. And now that's thrown out the window. There's a lasting damage even beyond the fact that we shouldn't have done it.

23:58And that lasting damage is being felt. First break of the show, reminder, we talk about all this stuff also in WTF America. Pre-order it right now. It's available for, there's audio that I read the audio with my brothers. Comes out October 20th. But if you were going to wait, do the pre-order now. It's so helpful to do the pre-orders. 24:39And it gets worse. One in 10 is overpaying by$2 ,000 or more, and only about 10 % are on the plan that actually fits their needs best. It's easy to see why the system is so confusing and that confusion allows unscrupulous brokers and insurance companies to rob you blind. That's why it's so important to talk to a trusted advisor whose only job is getting you the best coverage for you at the best price. The good news is I found an advisor for you. Chapter. Chapter is the only national Medicare advisor that compares every plan nationwide. 27:15Ben Meiselas:Welcome to Ben on Breaking News. I'm Ben Micellis, and this is your Breaking News. Donald Trump had all the AI billionaires and data center billionaires at the Oval Office, while the American people are feeling the pain as a result of the surging prices of gas and diesel and just about everything else is out of reach. People can't afford homes. People are really, really struggling. Things are grim and bad indeed. And Donald Trump said, you know what we're going to do? Let's bring over all the billionaires who run data centers and do all this AI. And let's make it clear that we don't want to regulate any AI at all.

27:56Ben Meiselas:Let's talk about renaming AI to SI. and we'll call it super intelligence because that's Donald Trump's solution to everything. You just give it a name or you paint it blue and you don't actually address the problem. The problem actually gets worse, but you just give it a name and then you defraud the people and go, look what I did. Super intelligence. Look what I did. I painted it blue. Look what I did. I called it Epic Fury. Look what I did. I called it Midnight Hammer. Look at what I did. It's just BS in it because he's a fraud. He's a lifelong fraud. He's a con artist. Although I know you don't like when I call him a con artist because it has the word artist in it.

28:34Ben Meiselas:So surrounded and flanked by all of these billionaires. Donald Trump was in front of the Oval Office and Trump said about data centers, I'm very good at real estate and I love data centers. Those buildings, absolutely beautiful, he says. They're big and they're powerful and they are the best data centers everywhere. Listen to what he said moments ago. Let's play it. The data centers are incredible. And by the way, I'm very good at real estate. Some of those buildings are absolutely beautiful. Very good at real estate. Very good, everybody. That's what good people at real estate say, how good they are at real estate.

29:14Ben Meiselas:I'm very good at it. Those buildings. Beautiful. Then you have these tech CEOs laughing as Donald Trump attacks CNN and says, she's fake news. She's fake news. Surrounded by the oligarchy, the same type of people who were there with Xi Jinping. And remember, these would be the people that Donald Trump used to say, look, they're involved in big tech censorship. Now they are an arm of the regime. They are an oligarchy. And so every allegation is just a confession and projection of the fascism and the predatorial nature of the Epstein class. Watch as the tech CEOs laugh as Donald Trump says, CNN, fake news.

30:02Ben Meiselas:Here, play this clip right here. Everyone here, we can win.

30:09Do you think that self-policing is enough? And he had a view. Hold it. Hold it. CNN fake news. Do you think that self-policing is enough? The worst. Look, Dario has been fantastic. We had dinner the other night and he agrees with everyone. I mean.

30:25Ben Meiselas:And, you know, look, Dario, right? The anthropic guy, whatever. You know, he got out of that scene. But how cowardly, how cowardly all of those people around him. I mean, like just the biggest freaking kick. What the hell? Well, you know, all of those people who surround him, just remember them. Just remember that image right there. These people may have all of that money, but I want everybody to remember what they've done, how they've sold out. Because, you know, in two years, they're going to be out there acting like they're giving money to civil rights and this and that. And I was never there.

31:04Ben Meiselas:And we just had to do what we had to do in the time. just remember it. Because let me be very clear, we can't go back to the status quo. That is unacceptable. When we're talking about what the future looks like, it is a return to what was happening before Trump. That got us Trump, and that will get us future Trump. We have to make sure that we focus on actually listening to people, delivering for the people. And we need to understand that it's those people over there who are actually trying to kill us right now. They're okay with us all dying. That's what I see over there. I see the Epstein class.

31:51Ben Meiselas:I see a racketeering enterprise, in my opinion, at the White House, someone that is so willing to cover up the Epstein files and child sex trafficking and slaughter little girls in Manab and children in Lemaire and people all across this world who are perfectly okay with genocide in Gaza and slaughtering children in Lebanon. I see people who find this all funny. They find this all one big laughing matter while they make their billions of dollars, while the American people don't even have healthcare, while they can't even afford to pump up their car with gasoline or their trucks with diesel. And they're all out there mucking it up.

32:35Ben Meiselas:Infuriating, infuriating. Then MAGA Mike Johnson goes on, makes his rounds on the various shows. And MAGA Mike Johnson says, Operation Epic Fury was epic. It was amazing. And now we just got to resolve it. But it was epic. That's my message to voters. Epic Fury was epic. Here, play this clip. Operation Epic Fury was an epic success. Now we got to resolve that. The president's laser focused on it. You've heard developments over the last 24, 36 hours. I think we're getting very close to that. I think Iran is running out of resources to sell. They're led on to 15 million barrels of oil to sell to China, we think.

33:14And so we're entering a new phase of this. And I think we get it. Oh, really? Oh, really? They're running out just a few days, two more weeks. It's all going to be good. Three more weeks, one more week, three more weeks.

33:25Ben Meiselas:Iran's running out. They're going to give up. They're going to surrender. What did Trump say yesterday? The horrible things he says about Canada. He goes, I think with naming Lake Ontario, Lake America, which nobody listens to other than those tech billionaires over there. Canada's going to say, please, sir, please, sir, we'd love to do a deal with you now, sir. Can we do a deal with you? Because these people are sex predators. These people are scum. And they think that if they torture, torture that people submit because they're sex predators like Trump is. Right? I mean, he was found civilly liable of sex assault.

34:04Ben Meiselas:Sickos. Demonic. Mag and Mike Johnson then says, and here's the thing. He says the feast that took, he goes, what'd he say? He says 2025 was the appetizer. Okay. 2026, that's when the feast and the banquet happens. It's well, looking at my calendar, it's about to be October. Okay. That means October, November, December, when was the banquet? And by the way, who even used, as Treasury Secretary Besson says, it will be the banquet. Who even uses these words? How disconnected? What do you mean the banquet? People aren't looking for banquets, okay? They're looking for jobs that pay them with dignity.

34:54They want to be able to afford shit and they want to be able to get through their day. That's what they want to do. They want to be able to live productive lives. They want to feel valued that their life has meaning. They want to live healthy lives and leave a better world for the next generation. What is this banquet? It means a bunch of freaking weirdo. We're going to give you a banquet. Just stay the hell out of our lives, okay? Use government as a tool to help, not hurt and harm. And that's about it. Don't send border patrol to torture people and throw little children in cages. We could think that that's probably an important point.

35:29Do you see the story from CNN? I'm going to do a video on it with Harry Lipman later where they're making these little children go. First off, they throw them in concentration camps here in the Trump regime. But then they have them go in these immigration courts without lawyers.

35:43Ben Meiselas:And these Trump judges, not federal judges, these immigration administrative judges who a lot of them were found like on X, like they were there were ads to be Trump administrative law judges. The other administrative law judges were purged and they brought on all these like Trump MAGA people. And I kid you not, they bring in front of these Trump administrative judges, like three-year-olds and five-year-olds, and they say, justify why we shouldn't deport you to Honduras. And the kids are like, they don't have lawyers. And they're doing, I kid you not, they're doing hearings with three-year-olds without lawyers.

36:21and they're like now because people knew where they are they're now trying to get secret office space so these hearings take place outside of the presence of the media after this report and you have like kids crying hysterically and the judges condemning the kids to go back to areas alone where they're probably going to get like in serious like we haven't looked into trafficking status there's a reason why we don't just take three-year-olds and five-year-olds and send them back to countries without their parents. These kids can be, they could be victims of trafficking. They can be trapped, but the Epstein class doesn't care about it.

36:56The Epstein class are the perpetrators, right? They're the ones covering it. Why do you think they're covering up the Epstein files? What do you think we learn about Ken Paxton letting the guy out, the pedo after like no time in jail? Why do you think we always hear these stories? What do you think is going on? Mag and Mike Johnson over here. The feast and the banquet. Here's what Mag and Mike says. Let's play. Feast and the. Okay, but here's the thing. The economy, all the economic conditions are in place. As Scott Besson said at the end of last year, 2025 is like setting the table. The feast and the banquet will be in the economy in 2026.

37:33And just as we predicted, as we calibrated with a big, beautiful bill and all of our policies, the biggest tax cut in U.S. history for working families, the biggest spending cut in U.S. history, 1.6 trillion in the big, beautiful bill. We have the lowest violent crime rate in 126 years, the biggest decline in prescription drugs in 60 years. You've got the most secure border in a half century. Not a single illegal alien released into the country in 16 straight months. And the small business incentives that we put in, the pro-growth policies we put into all the legislation, all that was working just as expected.

38:04First quarter, economy begins to take off. Go roll the tape. We were all talking about it. And then the Iran conflict began. The Iran conflict, you mean the war, began in February. Okay? January, February. People are just the biggest connor. That's like basically one month later. 2026 was going to be really good. But then we invaded Venezuela and then we invaded Iran. And then the rest of the year. You mean the whole year? The war started in February. You know, and this is their whole concept about Trump regime number one. It was all going great.

38:46Ben Meiselas:And then COVID hit. And then it would have been the best presidency but for COVID. Really? I mean, you know, but for, you know, but for, I try to think of an example of an athlete who got injured early in their career and never played again. And it's like, OK, well, you're the president. You're supposed to deal with issues. You can't just keep blaming things. But that's what the Trump regime does. It's all about blame, blame, blame, blame, blame. And this would have been a great year. But we got into the series. Yeah, it's a war of choice. After you claimed you obliterated Iran's nuclear capabilities last year, Trump and Netanyahu to cover up the child sex trafficking ring, then as the Epstein files, you then invade Iran.

39:32Ben Meiselas:You slaughter little children all over the place. Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz. Now you're pretending it's open. What do you think? So it was just, it's forces beyond our control. I mean, just the level of privilege also, right? I mean, you've got Donald Trump like sleeping. I don't even show these videos anymore. You saw it yesterday. Just sleeping in the Oval, sleeping, you know, just a freaking slob. sleeping in front of the cameras. And they exalt this guy. I'm thinking to myself, I'm like, this is the creepiest, oddest, most pathetic, rotting piece of shit I've ever seen in my life. Excuse my language.

40:16I'm looking at, the hell are we watching here? The hell is going on here?

40:20Ben Meiselas:And then you've got Kevin Hassett, Donald Trump's national economic advisor, who right now, his big message heading into the midterms is that everything that went bad during Trump's first term is Dr. Fauci's fault. Dr. Fauci closed down everything. Not Trump. It's Dr. Fauci's fault. Let's blame Dr. Fauci. And that's their message going into the midterms. This is what Kevin Hassett has to say here. Play this quote.

40:50You remember, because I was here with you guys during that time, that I went into the White House and I was helping manage the recovery from Fauci shutting everything down and what we did you might recall is we had four or five stimulus bills throughout the year because Fauci dug a hole we wanted to fill the hole but not do more than that and so at the end of the year after a minus 32 percent quarter GDP for the year was flat because we basically filled the hole with just the right amount of stuff but then what Biden did is he took all that spending and he decided not Spend it on other things, even though we didn't need it.

41:21Ben Meiselas:Also, if you noticed on the, I mean, Biden is a whiny, whiny loser. Stupid. But if you looked on the left too, did you notice that the price of Bitcoin continues to rise? And I find it very notable that what was it about a month and a half ago, all the Bitcoin AI tech bros were also at the White House. And I think at the time, Bitcoin was around 67 ,000 at the time. and now it's like 84 ,000. Did you see that? And what do we think happened over there? The Bitcoin people, they showed up and then all of a sudden it's 84 ,000. We all realize the manipulation is happening in plain view right now. In plain view, the Epstein class demonstrates what predators they are.

45:27Ben Meiselas:Welcome back to Ben on Breaking News. I'm Ben Mycillis, and this is your breaking news. Earlier today, the Trump regime rolled out America.gov. It's a chat bot where you can ask it questions when you go to America.gov, like when were the highest diesel prices in history? And they'll say under Donald Trump. You could ask it other questions about whether Trump won the 2020 election and he'll say, and it'll say they won't, they'll ask, you could ask america.gov if anyone's been arrested in connection with the Epstein files and they'll tell you that nobody has. And so america.gov everybody, that's Trump's own AI chat bot for the america.gov website.

46:12Ben Meiselas:We also learned a few other data points as I was showing you earlier in this live, all of the strikes taking place in Ukraine. Ukraine strikes in Russia right now. Things obviously are escalating. Trump's envoy, John Cole, is pushing a plan under which Russia, if it would release some political prisoners, it would get eased US sanctions, potentially opening the way for trade deals with Moscow even before the Ukraine war ends. Trump has approved the initiative, modeled on a similar approach with Belarus. Belarus, of course, an ally of Russia. And you may be saying, well, that's interesting. Wasn't there a law that just passed, like the Lindsey Graham Act, that was supposed to put sanctions against Russia?

46:59Ben Meiselas:My dogs are asking the same question right now, clearly. And the answer is there was. Both chambers, the House and the Senate, passed the Lindsey Graham Act. However, what it requires is implementation. So there's a law, but laws have to be faithfully executed. The Constitution says that the president will take care that laws are faithfully executed. And Donald Trump never actually acknowledges the take care clause. So quite the opposite of sanctions being imposed on Russia, it requires Trump to impose them. And of course, he's not going to impose them on Russia and China or Belarus. He's going to do the opposite.

47:36it. That's why when people report on this stuff, it's like, okay, they passed the act. Well, Trump ain't going to actually do it. He's not going to take care that the laws are faithfully executed. And then what would we normally expect to happen if you don't take care, if you violate the law? And Trump's a criminal. So what should happen? The DOJ should prosecute him. There should be special counsels appointed to investigate him. But when his own criminal defense attorney runs the DOJ and our idiotic fascist Supreme Court gives him absolute immunity, you give a crook and a sex predator absolute immunity, what do you think they're going to behave?

48:13That's what I mean. We can't go back to the status quo after all of this.

48:17Ben Meiselas:I think there's going to be a massive blue wave. I think Democrats will take control of the Senate. And I think you'll see some surprises in seats that people aren't talking about. Kansas. I think we may be talking about South Carolina. I wouldn't sleep on Florida even because we've seen Democratic overperformance in these states and specials. And we're seeing awfully close races. And with these close races, usually if the incumbent is only is neck and neck, it's not a good sign for them heading into a midterm. Then there's other seats where Democrats are well ahead. So I think Democrats take control of the Senate.

48:55Ben Meiselas:I think Democrats take control of the House. I think there needs to be ruthless oversight. And I also think we can't just go back to a status quo when we're done with all of this, because then you'll just have a seesaw of whoever the Democratic president becomes. Then you'll get like a DeSantis or a Rubio or a JD and they'll go back to this. Then they'll go back. It's unsustainable. We need to have people with bold visions, frankly, like what we're seeing a lot in New York City right now with Mayor Mamdani. I know he's not eligible, but what you're seeing there is a bold agenda being implemented with communication about it every day about what's happening, how the potholes are being addressed.

49:38The tennis court cracks are being addressed in the Bronx to the bigger issues like universal pre-K and child care and things like that as well. That's what we should be using government for, a tool to help, not a tool to inflict pain and suffering and cruel and unusual punishment. And we need the right kind of oversight. I mean, what, you had the MAGA Republicans today bringing Jack Smith in again to the United States Senate. They prohibit Jack Smith from talking about anything regarding the Mar-a-Lago criminal case. He's gagged. You know, they whine about gag orders, which are always never true about the MAGA Republicans.

50:17But Jack Smith is quite literally gagged based on Trump and Judge Eileen Cannon and the MAGA Republicans in the Senate. If he mentions the Mar-a-Lago case where Trump stole classified documents like nuclear records, even if Jack Smith talks about it, he can get criminally prosecuted by the DOJ for violating gag on. How pathetic that the Jim Jordans and the Blanches, they go on state regime media Fox, they attack Jack Smith, but they won't even allow him to talk about it in a hearing. And then they bring him here and they're like, they called the hearing in the Senate. This is what they're focused on, by the way, while the American people are suffering about everything right now.

50:56They bring Jack Smith again in because they're trying to set some perjury trap for him and they can't because he's telling the truth about everything. And then they go into this line of inquiry with MAGA Republican Senator Schmidt. Did you see this? And he's like, Isn't it true that you were at the Atlanta game with Fonny Willis? I've got a poster board here that shows you were at the Hawks game in Atlanta the night after the Fonny Willis affair was discovered. Isn't that true? And Jackson, it's like, I don't know what you're talking about. Perjury! Perjury! And then it turns out, I did a video on this before, that Jack Smith was at the Iowa Hawkeyes game, the college female basketball team with Caitlin Clark in Maryland.

51:48He wasn't at the men's NBA team, Atlanta Hawks. He was at the women's college basketball team, the Iowa Hawkeyes. Very different teams. I know the MAGA Republicans struggle with the difference between men's basketball team and women's bat. The men's and women's sports things, never a strong suit for the MAGA Republicans, but they try to act like they caught him in some perjury. I'm not going to show the interview clip again because you saw it. It's a three minute clip.

52:19Ben Meiselas:I did a whole video on it unless you want me to play. Just play a little. Jeremy, I'm not going to play the full thing. So just play a little bit of it just so I can remind people. I feel like I've got to show the receipt even though I did a video on it. It's possible you didn't see my last video. So let me just show Did you go to an NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and the Atlanta Hawks on February 3rd, 2024?

52:44I'm sorry. Could you say that again? Did you go to an NBA game between the Golden State Warriors and the Atlanta Hawks on February 3rd, 2024? What city would that be in? Atlanta. No. Okay.

52:59so your testimony today is that you did not go to a hawks game on february 3rd 2024 is that correct i have no recollection okay is it your testimony that you were not in atlanta on february 3rd 2024

53:16let me let me just give you a little context the day before fanny willis came clean with her affair with the prosecutor you know the atlanta prosecutor that was also trying to get trump the next day were you in Atlanta? I do not believe so. Okay, did you ever go to Atlanta during your time as special counsel?

53:36I really don't think so. It's possible I flew through the Atlanta airport on the way to Florida, but I do not have a recollection of going to Atlanta. I definitely did not go to a Hawks game. I'm sure of that. Did you ever meet Nathan Wade or Fannie Willis in your time at special counsel? No. What would you say if I had a series of text messages from your team that said you were in Atlanta at a Warrior Hawks game on February 3rd, 2024, the day after Willis and Wade announced their affair?

54:14I don't think you know that we have this stuff. So I'll give you a second to process it so you don't perjure yourself. You just took it down really quick. If I could look at that again. Okay. Mr. Chairman, can we give the witness a copy so he can see what's being read to him? Well, I think you've already sufficiently answered. I want to run through. We'll put it in a follow-up. You can respond. I think you've already perjured yourself. Did you or your office? Can we see it? Can we see it? Did you or your office seek? This is my time. If you want to use your time to criticize my question, go ahead.

54:49ranking number. Just very briefly, and this can, if this is the correct basketball game, I recall going to a University of Maryland basketball game where Caitlin Clark was playing right around that time, and the Marshal Service was there with me. You could check if that was the exact date. It was Maryland playing Iowa, I think February of 2024, but again, And you can check that out if that's what we're talking about. University of Iowa. Is it the Hawkeyes? Yes. Could it then be that University of Iowa is the Hawkeyes? Could that be it? And maybe before we show this kind of thing. I know. But if he was at an Iowa game, is that correct?

55:37It was because Caitlin Clark was coming to Maryland to play. I know. But that might be the confusion over the names of the team. but perhaps you should have looked at it more carefully. Whose questioning is this, by the way, Mr. Chairman? Are you using your time, Senator? Is this what this is? Are we just having like an open session here? I will begin my questions. I just, I'm just in shock. Well, I'm glad you're trying to rehabilitate the witness, but it's not your time. When you are calling a witness a dirtbag and showing him these things. I presented him with text messages about him wanting to meet with people that could have obviously been related to the prosecution that was coordinated with his office in Atlanta.

56:14Well, I'm going to begin my questions now, but I think that people should have their facts straight before they accuse someone of being a dirtbag and not get the teams wrong. I stand by that statement. You had the teams wrong, sir. Mr. Chairman. As the floor. Proceed with your questions. Thank you. From the state of Minnesota, where we have the Gophers. So there's not a lot of confusion. There's not a lot of professional teams with those names. Mr. Chairman, many of us in this room were here on January 6th.

56:45Ben Meiselas:And here's the thing. It's an egregious error. It's malicious by that MAGA Republican Senator Schmidt. But look, people make mistakes. You could, I'm sure him and his staff, you know, looked at it and it's an egregious error. It's defamatory. But you know what a grownups do? This isn't like a Republican. You know what you say? in a pre-Trump world, you know what you can do? Hey, man, I'm sorry. I screwed that up. I made an accusation against you, which wasn't accurate. I thought that the only game was a Hawks game in Atlanta. There was a Hawkeyes game in Maryland, Iowa College, female basketball team.

57:29Ben Meiselas:I'm sorry if I accused you like that. I'll do better. It's okay. I mean, you know, but it's not when you double down. No, you are a dirtbag. I think you were actually there. We're now talking not about politics. We're talking about shitty human beings, right? I mean, and that to me is part of the thing we miss and that we've missed with a pre-independent media, media toxic environment. They're too busy talking about the horse race, who's up, who's down, who's winning. instead of why we want to win. What's the goal of winning? What are the principles and values underlying all of this? And my biggest problem with Donald Trump is not that his name is Donald Trump.

58:19It's that he's a sex predator, that he's actually a felon based on what he's done in the business records case, that he has bankrupted everything, and that he is just a putrid human being who harms people his whole life. He's dangerous and he's unserious as a human being, as a leader. He's not a leader. He's a destroyer. And that is my main issue. And by the way, if he stayed the hell away from this country and from people, and he wanted to be a rotten piece of shit living in Mar-a-Lago in his piece of shit Mar-a-Lago, go do it. I wouldn't give, I wouldn't care. You know, I'd probably be like, oh, that's a gross human.

59:03But now you've taken that, you've hijacked public service, and you've turned the apparatus of government against we, the people, and all of those horrible things you've inflicted on the people. And now this whole gang of other MAGA Republicans behave like you in the same awful way. and you just treat people like crap and you kill people and you hide and conceal and defraud and you hurt people here and abroad. And that's the issue that we need to stop that. That's a nonpartisan freaking issue, damn it. That's an American issue. That's a global issue. Stop being like this. Stop behaving this way.

59:46Stop hurting people. Stop committing genocide. Stop covering up the Epstein file. Stop inflicting such pain and suffering. That's what this is about. Then again, I believe it's the ultimate nonpartisan message. That's why when people are like, oh, Ben, you're super leftist. I'm like, you have to understand the terms that I think about are how do we help people? How do we use government to help people? And if that aligns with more side more than the other, so be it and infrequently does. But how do we help people? And we shouldn't be hurting people. It's very basic, very basic stuff. And stop doubling down and this whole MAGA echo chamber, they're all like, breaking news, Jack Smith admitted that he was committing perjury.

1:00:26No, he didn't, stop it. Stop with the disinformation. So as they are a fountain and fire hose of disinfo, so we must be a fire hose of the truth and that's what we will continue to do here. Disclaimer: Chapter and its affiliates are not connected with or endorsed by any government entity or the federal Medicare program. Chapter Advisory, LLC represents Medicare Advantage HMO, PPO, and PFFS organizations and stand alone prescription drug plans that have a Medicare contract. Enrollment depends on the plan’s contract renewal. While we have a database of every Medicare plan nationwide and can help you to search among all plans, we have contracts with many but not all plans. As a result, we do not offer every plan available in your area. Currently we represent 50 organizations which offer 18,160 products nationwide. We search and recommend all plans, even those we don’t directly offer. You can contact a licensed Chapter agent to find out the number of products available in your specific area. Please contact Medicare.gov, 1-800-Medicare, or your local State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) to get information on all of your options.
