In short
The episode argues that “state regime media” (Fox News) is collapsing after Donald Trump “surrendered” to Iran. It claims Fox hosts like Jesse Watters and Laura Ingraham previously said Trump would not make a deal like Obama’s JCPOA, then now justify unfreezing Iranian funds and a weaker agreement. It criticizes guest Kevin Hassett (Trump national economic advisor) for allegedly lying about consumer sentiment and GDP growth, and for blaming inflation on “refrigerator” rules rather than tariffs and the Iran war. Notable examples include clips of Hassett’s 6% GDP math, and a Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed “destroying” Will Cain in a gas-price/ICE debate. The episode also covers culture-war segments (Hassan Piker imagery, Jackson Dart politics), ICE conditions claims, and a Fox interview with Cuba’s foreign minister that the host allegedly botches.

2:22Ben Meiselas:State regime media, which calls itself Fox News, is in full collapse after Donald Trump's surrender to Iran, after Fox propagandists like Jesse Waters and Laura Ingraham had been telling their viewers Donald Trump's never going to back down. Donald Trump will never do a deal like Obama's JCPOA. Now that Donald Trump is doing a much weaker deal than Obama's JCPOA, Jesse Waters and other Fox propagandists are trying to justify this to their viewers. And they're saying, this is exactly what we want to do. Of course, we're going to have to just unfreeze funds and give it to the Iranians. That's very different than what Obama did.
3:07Ben Meiselas:No, it isn't. And in fact, Donald Trump's going to unfreeze more funds and have less controls than former President Obama did. Watch Jesse Waters right here as he completely loses it on live TV. Let's play this clip.
3:46So I bet a lot of these guys, they unfreeze the accounts. I bet they fly to Beijing or fly to Vlad's neighborhood and just hang out with the mistresses because it's not a safe place to be. It's not a good place to be in Tehran after all this.
4:00Ben Meiselas:Then state regime media, which calls itself Fox, brings in Donald Trump's national economic advisor, Kevin Hassett, who says, actually, consumer sentiment has never been better right now. People are so happy with the war. They're so happy with the way things are going at home. No consumer sentiment is at a historic low. Actually, the worst since the University of Michigan consumer sentiment poll had been created in 1952. Watch Kevin Hassett pathetically lie. Here play this clip. That is good to see where specifically the jobs and the build out is happening. But, I mean, is that going to lead us to 6 % growth?
4:43I mean, Kevin, the last time you and I spoke, you told me that you were expecting GDP growth to go 4%, 5%. And then you said north of 6 % later this year once the Iran conflict wraps up. Are you still expecting that? I mean, how do you get to north of 6 %? shot. Well, I can tell you that if you say, and right now, even Economist magazine, everybody's writing stories about the productivity miracle. And we're seeing productivity numbers unlike anything we've seen before. That gets you about two and a half percent growth. That's probably undermeasured before you have more inputs, before you have more capital or more labor.
5:19And so then the question is, how much extra growth are you going to get from, you know, building factories? Well, that's actually really clearly in the data. We just had March. That was one of the best months ever for capital goods orders. And so if you get, say, one and a half percent out of that, then you're starting even before you get labor's contribution to growth at four. And, you know, I think there's been a little bit of pent up demand because of uncertainty. You see that, for example, when people are worried about energy prices, one of the places that you see it is that they hold up buying a new car because they're not sure whether they want to get the truck that's their dream car, but has low miles per gallon or whether they need to get like the Prius or a hybrid that has high miles per gallon.
5:59They're really worried about the cost of gasoline. And what happens is that purchases of automobiles drop a lot when that happens. And we're seeing that in the data right now. But imagine if this is resolved, people have clarity, they make the decision based on what's best for them. All that kind of pent up demand is going to be layered on top of the numbers that I talked about. So I really do think you can see a quarter like that. And it's not unprecedented. The last time we saw an economy that looked like this was in the 90s, when all of a sudden the internet was changing everything.
6:25Ben Meiselas:And then Kevin Hassett says, but look, I understand that people are worried about prices increasing as a result of refrigerant. That's the big issue that's making prices increase. Crazy policies regarding refrigerators. What are y 'all talk? Crazy policies regarding refrigerators? No, it's a direct result of Donald Trump's tariffs against the world and his catastrophic war against Iran. People know where this is coming from. And Trump promised that on day one, you promised, Hassett, on day one that you were going to make things so cheap. And in fact, by quarter four during Trump's first year, Hassett, I believe you said we would be booming.
7:08Ben Meiselas:We would be at 6 % GDP growth. We barely have any GDP growth right now. Here, play this clip. But are you worried about affordability right now, Kevin? I mean, when you look at the price of groceries and insurance and housing and all the rest a couple of months away from the midterms? Yeah, I mean, absolutely. The like the price of gas has got to come down that we've got to continue to do things like make sure that all the grocery stores aren't closing because of stupid rules about refrigerators. We've got to like do all the above to get prices back down. We are 100 % concerned about affordability, but we're doing micro things and macro things to make sure that inflation goes down.
7:45And I think that when you watch how steady core has been, uh, then you see, you see that our efforts are being successful. Like we could do better going forward, especially we get gas prices down, but, uh, inflation's coming down is it, you know, it's lower than it was with president Trump took office. So that's in the right trajectory. Once we get energy prices going the right way.
8:04Ben Meiselas:And then even Maria Bartiromo is like, so you think we're going to still hit 6 % GDP? You're still going to guarantee that? And then Kevin Hassett's like, yeah, absolutely. I just think that if you take 2 % and you multiply it by 0.22 and you do a 3%, you get 6%. Okay. These people are the biggest damn liars that there is. Here, play this clip. That is good to see where specifically the jobs and the build out is happening. But I mean, is that going to lead us to 6 % growth? I mean, Kevin, the last time you and I spoke, you told me that you were expecting GDP growth to go four or five. And then you said north of six percent later this year, once the Iran conflict wraps up, are you still expecting that?
8:49I mean, how do you get to north of six percent? Well, I can tell you that if you say and right now, even Economist magazine, everybody's writing stories about the productivity miracles and we're seeing productivity numbers unlike anything we've seen before.
9:02Ben Meiselas:And then randomly, they start showing photos of like Hassan Piker, like the streamer, Hassan Piker. And they were like, we hate this guy. Why do we keep looking at him? We don't like him. Okay. Why do you keep showing images of him then? Like, what are you even talking about? You're talking about things that are so disconnected from what the actual experience of the American people right now are, who just want their healthcare. They just want to be able to afford a home. They just want a job with dignity. They just want normalcy, damn it. Here, watch what they say about Hassan Piker. Here, play this clip.
9:35And am I the only one who, I mean, I'm sick of looking at Hassan Piker, but I can never tell if it's really him because he just looks like a generic leftist. Every leftist dude with a beard, a baseball cap online, I say, is this that guy again? I can never tell if it's him. Yeah, they do have a look. I will give you that for sure.
9:53Ben Meiselas:So then they bring on Democratic Michigan Senate candidate, Abdul El-Sayed, who's been on the Midas Touch network before. and he goes on the Kane show, the Will Kane show. And I guess they thought, okay, well, here's what we're going to do. We're going to bring Abdul El-Sayed on and, you know, Will Kane's going to do a great interview. Well, no. El-Sayed like destroyed Will Kane, like basically hijacked the show, took over the show and made it his own. This was incredible. Here, watch this. Let's play it. A living wage. I want to make sure that they got a union. I but you're not asking me that.
10:34And when I asked you about whether or not you actually pumped your own gas, you didn't answer the question. Because you are so far away from the experience every day. We don't have any other way to do it in Texas. We don't have any other way to do it in Texas. How much did you pay for the last time? How much did you pay for your gas the last time? I paid a lot. Gas prices are up right now, and every American is concerned about that. I know, because of a war. And you are not asking me about that. The war that we're fighting that course$50 billion of our taxpayer dollars, that you keep defending.
10:59You keep defending that war. We're talking over each other. We're talking over each other consistently. And the reason is, is because we're having two separate conversations. Now, listen, you and I both know, and I'll tell the audience, I know your positions and I've helped you forward in some of those positions. I know you're opposed to the war in a round. I know you're for Medicare for all.
11:15Ben Meiselas:And then Will Cain realized very quickly that he was outmatched. Here play this clip. So if we want to talk about law enforcement, I do want to bring up the question about the $1.8 billion Department of Justice piggy bank that Donald Trump wants to hand out to people who clearly broke our laws on January 6th. But I asked the question about gas prices because I happened to punt my gas just on Memorial Day. The worst part of my day was having to pay$82.89. Well, I thought about the fact that we lost more than a dozen service members in a war. We never should have been fighting to raise those gas prices in the first place.
11:50If you want to talk about the rule of law, there are plenty of opportunities for us to talk about that. I appreciate your position, and I will summarize it for the audience. You are opposed to the war in Iran, and you do not like the current gas prices. But Mr. Sayed, we had a very friendly exchange last week. No, you're not answering my questions. The entire point, you're pivoting to talking points. If you will talk to the question I asked, we can have an appropriate interview. Let me finish my answer. $185 billion for ICE. That's$185 billion that are not being spent to improve anything from your infrastructure to your kids' school or to help you afford your health care.
12:24Gas is just the tip of the iceberg. So if you do want to talk about ICE, let's talk about the opportunity cost of paying$185 billion into an agency that is currently sowing unrest in New Jersey, just like it did in Minneapolis. What is the cost to deny citizenship?
12:38Ben Meiselas:And more on that right here. Will Cain, not a good idea to bring in El Saeed. Here, let's play this clip. You would like to abolish ICE. Now, what I would like to ask you is ICE is simply the enforcement mechanism for democratically elected laws of the people. Now, for a party who has talked about the threat to democracy, is it your position that you do not want to see the will of the people, the democratically elected laws enforced? First of all, Will, you and I both know that election law, to me, immigration law is not criminal law. Immigration law is civil law. It's like getting a parking ticket.
13:13So the idea that we should have a paramilitary force that is weaponized on our streets to enforce civil law seems to me to be a bit over the top, particularly considering the fact that the current president is weaponizing ICE against the idea of the rule of law itself. The idea that they should just be governed simply by Stephen Miller and Donald Trump without any enforcement around basic warrant law or the Constitution itself. That to me is frustrating. Now, I want to pivot just quickly because I do want to ask you, do you pump your own gas? Well, before we start talking about whether or not I pump my own gas, we have to follow up with your answer.
13:47It's important. I appreciate the interest in having a conversation, Mr. Sayed. But what I would suggest is I'm conducting this interview, and I want to ask you about your positions. My interest today is you are running for Senate. No, excuse me. You are running for Senate in the state of Michigan. What I am curious about as you conduct a tour targeted at counties that voted for both Joe Biden and President Donald Trump is exactly how extreme or moderate your positions might be. I'm not running for elected office. So my position on current gas prices is of immaterial to the audience. Your positions as seeking elected office are what's important.
14:23And what I would like to figure out is whether or not you believe in the rule of law. It's simply not true. I've always been picky when it comes to seafood. You spend good money at the grocery store, bring home some fish, and half the time it just doesn't live up to expectations. So I was really excited to try a wild Alaskan company. Wild Alaskan Company offers the best way to get wild-caught, high-quality seafood delivered to your door on your schedule. Each box comes with individually portioned fillets that are vacuum-sealed, easy to prepare, and perfect whether you're making a quick weeknight dinner or something a little more elevated.
14:55The seafood is quick-frozen right after it's caught in Alaska, which helps lock in the texture, flavor, and nutrients like omega-3s. And it is seafood that you can trust, no GMOs, antibiotics, or additives. Every order also supports sustainable harvesting practices and hardworking Alaskan fishermen whose livelihoods are deeply connected to these waters. One of my favorites has been the coho salmon. It has a rich texture and mild flavor, and it cooks beautifully whether you roast it or sear it in a pan. Wild Alaskan Company is so confident that their fish is the best that they offer a 100 % satisfaction and money-back guarantee, so you could try your first box risk-free.

15:56Ben Meiselas:So then they got to bring in another culture war issue, right? And Will Kane's like, you know, the Giants quarterback, Jackson Dart. Why are we giving him so much grief? Why are the people angry that he introduced Donald Trump at a political rally? There's nothing political about that. So what? We don't get to do that. Only the left gets to do political rallies. I don't even know what the left gets to do political rallies. Y 'all canceled my former client and my business partner, Colin Kaepernick, because he took a damn knee back in 2016, 2017. You'll remember that. Here, play this clip of what Will Cain's saying.
16:36Play this clip. Okay. Peter Doocy, thank you so much. Coming up, New York Giants quarterback Jackson Dart is catching heat for introducing the president, proving once again, mixing politics and sports is fine, but only if you do it in one direction from the left.
16:51Ben Meiselas:And then Will Cain starts reporting about the peaceful protest outside the Delaney Hall concentration camp in New Jersey, where the ICE and Border Patrol Gestapo are keeping immigrants in subhuman conditions. The immigrants are getting sick. They don't have access to health care. I mean, it is deplorable conditions. Members of Congress are not allowed to enter against the law. We saw ICE attacking people outside. And so Will Cain, though, goes, this is the best health care immigrants have ever received. They should feel blessed and lucky by what's going on. Here, play this clip. DHS says none of that is true, and that the detainees are receiving three meals a day, clean water, clothing, bedding, showers, soap, and toiletries.
17:42For many illegal immigrants, this is the best healthcare they've ever received. It includes medical, dental, mental health services, and 24-hour emergency care.
17:51Ben Meiselas:this and then the distraction on top of distraction on top of distractions when it comes to this regime right they went to war in iran to distract from the epstein files now they want to distract from the war in iran and the epstein files buy more ice and border patrol invasions they're back everybody mark wayne mullen the department of homeland security secretary who took over that job from christy noem says quote we are drawing up the plans right now to shut down international flights into blue states that we deem quote sanctuary states or sanctuary cities we will be blocking international travel i think you just want to destroy the economy even more you idiots here play this clip we are currently which we're not initiate yet but we're currently drawing up plans to say, listen, in these sanctuary cities where the local radical left Democrats aren't allowing us to do our job and enforce federal laws, then we shouldn't be processing international flights into their cities either because they don't want us to enforce immigration, but they want us to process immigration at their facilities.
19:04Nothing about that makes sense to me.
19:06Ben Meiselas:Let me tell you something. They're aiding and abetting lawbreaking. And and then he said the extreme radical Democrats, they were out protesting on Memorial Day. They should be celebrating, damn it. OK, here, play this clip. Shows where these, you know, extreme radical Democrats priorities are when they choose Memorial Day of all the days to go out and protest the fact that we took criminals off the streets. their priorities lie more with protecting these criminals, which are the worst of the worst, than it is actually, well, I would say celebrating the sacrifice that men and women across this nation have paid for the freedoms that they have to go out there and practice their First Amendment rights.
19:51But why Memorial Day?
19:53Ben Meiselas:Then you had James Comer, head of the House Oversight Committee, or soon to be ex-head of the House Oversight Committee. And James Comer says, you know, look, everybody, what we're all really angry about right now is in California, Newsom, he's giving them prisoners a tablet. He's giving them tablets. That's fraud and abuse. You can't give prisoners tablets. You want to talk about waste, fraud, and abuse? Why don't you look at your own damn party what Donald Trump is doing every single day. Here play this clip. But at the end of the day, you think about all the school kids in public schools all across America that need tablets, they need material.
20:38And in California, Governor Newsom is using tax dollars to provide these tablets for inmates who were communicating and harassing people on the outside. That's a terrible use of taxpayer dollars. The inmates aren't even supposed to be communicating with people on the outside. But again, this is another example of liberal leadership in California by Gavin Newsom and an utter disregard for the American taxpayer.

21:03Ben Meiselas:And then state regime media has to go to its next war. The neocons, the warmongers, they crave it. Okay. Donald Trump surrendered to Iran. So who can we go after next? Cuba. Let's set up a pretext to invade Cuba. All right, we'll exit Iran, then we'll invade Cuba. Maybe that'll be easier than Iran. That's what the Trump regime is thinking. And Fox wants to help out. So Fox invites the Cuban foreign minister on to Fox. And by the way, the Cuban foreign minister just completely outmatches this Fox host. And the Fox host thought there was going to be gotchas with the Cuban foreign minister. But the Fox host is like, so Marco Rubio told me that you possess a national security threat.
21:54Ben Meiselas:And the Cuban foreign minister is like, you really think that we are dumb? Like, you think we're going to launch drones in the United States? Like, why would we? We just want to exist. Why would we throw drones in the United States? Play this clip. Secretary of State Marco Rubio told me, sir, on Thursday that the Cuban regime poses a direct national security threat to the United States of America. You mentioned an arsenal of military drones provided to the regime by the Russians, by the Chinese. He alluded to reporting in the United States last week that the Cuban government has even discussed internally potential plans to attack U.S.
22:39military targets. Is any of that true? Well, just imagine Cuba is a small island, 100 ,000 square kilometers and 10 million inhabitants. Based on what logic, what would be the common sense behind the idea that Cuba could threaten a nuclear superpower? Second, we will have to ask the secretary of state if he has any evidence. I have heard him lying on and on regarding this issue.
23:20Ben Meiselas:And then the Fox host is like, all right, all right, I hear you. But let's talk about Raul Castro. What do you think about the fact that Donald Trump just indicted him? pretty powerful move, huh? Pretty good, huh? And then the Cuban foreign minister is like, okay, why'd you wait 30? If this was really a big issue to you, you knew the underlying incident 30 years ago. So why are you doing this right now? Oh, it's just a pretext for war. Watch this. Let's play this clip. Last week, as you know, sir, the Trump administration indicted Raul Castro. This is the same type of decision that was made about Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro before the United States captured him, removed him from the country.
24:10Do you have concerns about the United States plotting potential regime change in Cuba? Are you prepared to defend against that militarily? We will have to ask the U.S. government, why did it wait for 30 years to do this? We will have to ask what is the ethical value, what is the legal value behind these allocations right now, or if this is part of the political narrative aimed at manipulating the U.S. public opinion to justify a military aggression against Cuba. Secretary Rubio.
24:53Ben Meiselas:And then Fox goes, the Fox host goes to the Cuban foreign minister. But you're a failing nation. Donald Trump, our Fuhrer, our dear leader says you're a failing nation to which the Cuban foreign minister is like, well, right now we're struggling because you're doing a blockade and you're starving our people to death. But if we were really failing, then why would you need to do a blockade? Wouldn't you just let us fail and just blow up? Like, wouldn't we not be able to run the country? So why even do the blockade then? Oh, maybe because the purpose of the blockade is to starve the people to death.
25:29Ben Meiselas:Is that why? Watch as the tables are turned. Here, play this clip. President Trump over the last week said that Cuba is a failing nation multiple times. What's your response to those comments?
25:47If the Cuban state would be an inefficient state and the Cuban economy would not be viable, what would be the use for an executive order by the President of the United States issued on January the 29th declaring a complete energy blockade against Cuba? What would be the need executive order of May 1st, establishing secondary sanctions against all the economic counterparts of Cuba in the world. They have also resorted to military threat. No political difference, no difference between two states, no consideration about the political system or the government of another country. could be the reason for provoking a war or to cause a bloodbath or a humanitarian catastrophe.
26:43Ben Meiselas:So not a very good day for state regime media, which calls itself Fox. But you know, when they have to constantly justify Donald Trump, surrender here, surrender there, surrender here, surrender, that's what happens. Let me know what y 'all think. Hit subscribe. Let's get to 7 million subscribers. We're so close to 7 million. Let's get there together. Thanks for watching.
