In short

The episode argues that Donald Trump is politically panicking and escalating conflict—after being booed at a Tennessee football game—while Iran tensions rise and U.S. economic conditions worsen. It claims Trump’s repeated social-media attacks (including 14 posts targeting Rep. Salazar) reflect pressure from MAGA infighting and that his Iran stance contributed to Strait of Hormuz mining, driving higher oil, diesel, and gas prices. It also criticizes Trump’s “best numbers” claims and contrasts them with alleged record-high suffering (mortgages, deficits, inflation).

Guests

No named guests appear in the transcript. The host references interviews with Trump and Clay Travis (a sports host), but Travis is not presented as an on-episode guest.

Key claims/examples

2:22Ben Meiselas:So Donald Trump traveled all the way to Tennessee yesterday only to get booed. And then Trump left at halftime and then started making deranged posts where he attacked Republican Congresswoman Salazar in like post after post 14 times. And then he's like, the fake news claims that Byron Donalds, the MAGA Republican candidate for governor of Florida, removed me from his website, which, by the way, Byron Donalds did. That's fake news. Then Trump's like, God is looking down on me. God is looking down on me and saying, Donald, you got to keep on going. I'll show you his deranged message in a moment that he posted, but he's also sending emails like this.

3:07Ben Meiselas:You abandoned MAGA? I know this can't be true. My team told me some news I can't believe. You abandoned MAGA 38 days before the biggest midterm elections of our lifetime? And then his message is like, don't we love each other? Are you really going to leave me when I need you the most? He's doing like that weird love bombing stuff that he sets on those emails over and over again. So he's clearly being told that MAGA is leaving him right now and he's absolutely losing it. But who may be telling him this? Who's showing him some of these articles? Well, you see Natalie Harp right over there. Take a look at Natalie Harp going with Donald Trump to that Tennessee football game and basically everywhere.

3:51Ben Meiselas:You can see over here, Donald Trump with Senator Hagerty and Natalie Harp, and she's showing Donald Trump a laptop, I guess, of these articles. She is called Donald Trump's human printer. People call her something else as well. I did notice this also. Shout out to Donk Media for bringing it to my attention right here. On the Air Force One, It seems that Donald Trump was also flying the older Air Force One, not the Qatari Air Force One. Just put that out there. And what is in that gigantic bag that they're carrying out of Air Force One right there in Tennessee? Just take a look right here at these.

4:30Ben Meiselas:There's two massive garbage bags. I know some people are speculating, oh, is it this? Is it that? You can speculate what's in these massive garbage bags that follow Donald Trump around wherever he goes. But then he started posting like this late last night after getting booed at Tennessee. He's already posted. He goes, we have the best financial numbers ever. And the fake news media refuses to report them. DJT. We have the best financial numbers right now. The United States is suffering from economic catastrophe right now as a result of the Trump regime's behavior. Oil's at record high. You have diesel at record high.

5:08Ben Meiselas:Gas is at record high, obviously. People can't afford homes. You've ripped away people's health care. People are losing their jobs. You have people who are suffering right now and are psychologically tortured by this regime and the never-ending wars in Iran. I'll get to in a moment that it seemed yesterday also the IRGC was mining the Strait of Hormuz. Multiple explosions were heard, which actually seem to be these missiles that are launched off the coast of Iran that release mines into the Strait of Hormuz by the Oman route. Remember yesterday morning, Donald Trump, when he was heading to Tennessee, he was like, we're not going to do any deals with Iran.

5:48Ben Meiselas:Iran is suffering. We control the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran is going to give up. So we won't ever pursue a deal with Iran right now. Remember? So Iran's response is, okay, well, we're going to put mines in the Strait of Hormuz. And by the way, Donald, if you control the Strait of Hormuz, you have two aircraft carriers there. Why do you keep moving the aircraft carriers further and further away from the Gulf of Oman and you pull them further back out into the Arabian Sea? If we control the Strait of Hormuz, then wouldn't you put your Navy destroyers and the aircraft carriers into the Strait of Hormuz?

6:21Ben Meiselas:Oh, wait, we don't actually control them. And that's why oil price and diesel price and gas prices continuing to surge. But here's what Trump was posting over and over again. 14 posts in a row. Let me repeat that. But who posts anything 14 times in a row about anybody on any topic, right? Like, I like chocolate ice cream. If I posted 14 times about chocolate ice cream, you'd probably be like, hey, Ben, by the way, Haagen-Dazs chocolate, I'm not plugging them, but I like chocolate chocolate chip, but they don't have much of it anymore. He'd be like, I think I need a 5150 hold. Dude, why are you posting something 14 times in a row?

6:57Ben Meiselas:Trump attacked MAGA Republican Congresswoman Salazar 14 times in a row yesterday afternoon until the evening. Posts like this, didn't she vote with Trump 99 % of the time? Trump must remove his endorsement from her. She is nothing but a backstabber. I'm glad the Latino support hasn't wavered. Glad? What do you mean the Latino support has absolutely wavered? I mean, by massive amounts. I mean, we've been reporting how one of the largest groups that Donald Trump has lost the support of is Hispanics. And especially this is a very big deal in Florida and in Texas. And Congresswoman Salazar was promising the Latino community in her district, Venezuelans and Cubans.

7:45Ben Meiselas:She's Cuban. And her family fled Cuba. And she said, I have the Dignity Act. Donald Trump's only going to go after criminals and he's going to give a pathway to citizenship. He's never going to revoke TPS. And then Trump did all of those things. And she threw her constituents, quite literally, many of them to their deaths. I promise you the Dignity Act. I talked to him about the Dignity Act. And then Donald Trump's like, I don't even know what the Dignity Act is. No, of course I'm revoking temporary protective status. I want to deport all these people. I mean, Trump hates immigrants. I mean, that's pretty clear.

8:17Ben Meiselas:Trump's like very racist in my opinion. Also, while Donald Trump is making all of these posts, these posts are sponsored. So Donald Trump does sponsored posts by something, by Kratom, sorry, the Global Kratom Coalition. Thank you. Get Synthetic 7 off of our shelves. It's like an opioid reply. What in the world are we doing here? Trump is taking on Synthetic 7. He's fighting back to save lives with Kratom. And this is brought to you by Kratom right now, his posts. Okay, I mean, how deranged is that? Then Trump posts this. The American people elected me to deliver historic economic results. And now I have a new responsibility, reporting our incredible results.

9:07Ben Meiselas:S &P Global reported this week that U.S. business growth is at its highest level in more than five years. And then Trump says business is growing. Americans are earning more money than ever before. Poverty is at an all-time low. Exports are surging. Then he says, the fake news and Democrats hate these reports and these record-setting numbers. They hate the truth and they hate the great success that our country is having. Just look at our numbers. The best in history, he says. The best in history right now? Look, Donald Trump hates the United States of America. Donald Trump hates the American people, okay?

9:48Ben Meiselas:He hates democracy. Who he loves? Putin and Xi and Kim Jong-un. He literally has gigantic photos of Putin and Xi and him in the Oval Office or right by the Oval Office. Trump rolled out the red carpet for Xi and Putin. He attacks our allies, or I should say, our former allies. And Donald Trump wants to tell you that this is the golden age? Catastrophic never-ending wars with Netanyahu, diesel and gas prices, all-time highs, housing unaffordable, 30-year fixed mortgages rate, 7.5%, treasury yields at record highs, the American people are absolutely suffering, very little job growth, no job growth in essence, job losses some months, massive inflation.

10:37Ben Meiselas:This is it? This is the golden age? Didn't you promise you would cut electricity prices in half? No, they're actually half. They're 50 % more right now. Didn't you say gas would be$2 a gallon? Oh, that was a lie. Didn't you say you have great words and you would convince Putin and Zelensky to settle right away? You'd be able to do a deal in 24 hours? Oh, that was a lie. Oh, and then you said no more never-ending wars. Then you engage in catastrophic wars and you slaughter little children in Manab and Lemaire and Syriq and Kesham, and then you cover up child sex trafficking rings with the Epstein files, and then you launch invasions of the United States with ICE and Border Patrol Gestapo.

11:17Ben Meiselas:Then Donald Trump posts this. Let's even visually look at what this message looks like. This is like a lunatic writes this. Another fake story, it's like way too long, bro. Another fake story is that the very close friend of mine, a man I endorsed very early, Byron Donalds, is taking me off his website and campaign materials. God must be looking down on me. Yeah, he's frowning on you. He's looking down on you and saying, I'm freaking disgusted by you. Whether you're religious or non-religious, whether you believe in a higher power or karma, whatever your belief is, I think that we can all agree that people are looking down at this lunatic and saying, you are the biggest cancer perhaps in the history of the world.

11:58Ben Meiselas:God must be looking down on me. If Florida thought the story that Byron dropped me was true, he would lose the election. And that would be a terrible thing because he's going to be a fantastic governor. And then these interviews have dropped with Donald Trump and Clay Travis, the MAGA post, the MAGA sports host. And so Clay Travis asked Donald Trump, do you think there's a role for you to try to broker peace between baseball owners and players to make sure we don't have a prolonged work stoppage. And then Donald Trump's mind immediately goes to lying about resolving eight wars. You know, I stopped eight wars, India and Pakistan, this one and this one, when he didn't stop eight wars.

12:41Ben Meiselas:Dude, you've created more wars. You've caused the war in Ukraine to escalate. You did a catastrophic war in Iran. You are a war criminal. You are a absolute, you deserve to be tried in the Hague. I hope you're tried in the Hague. Here, play this clip. Very nice. You're a monster baseball fan too. There's dangers of potentially a lockout. I know you've played and loved baseball for a long time. Do you think there's a role for the president to try to broker peace between owners, players? Is there something you can do? Because baseball's on a roll to help make sure that we don't have another Missed World Series prolonged work stoppage.

13:17Well, I would do it if it was appropriate. I would certainly do it if I could. I mean, I settled eight wars and I had nothing to do with most of them. I mean, India, Pakistan, lots of very good wars. I'm working on Russia, Ukraine. That's turned out to be the toughest of all. There's a lot of hatred there between President Putin and President Zelensky.

13:36Ben Meiselas:And then Donald Trump tries to take credit for the high valuation of sports teams. And he's like, I brought in$20 trillion,$21 trillion. Just think about it like this. nobody's ever thought those numbers were possible. Biden brought in$1 trillion, maybe even half because you're making the number up. You didn't bring in$21 trillion. You want me to do Mr. Accordion Hand Boy, Accordion Hand Loser? You want me to explain to you why you didn't bring in$21 trillion, you pathetic piece of trash? If you brought in$21 trillion, then why is our debt exceeding$40 trillion. Why is our deficit continuing to grow and we have record high deficits and record high debt that exceeded$40 trillion?

14:21Ben Meiselas:Idiot accordion hands, idiot. If you actually brought in this money, we wouldn't have the debt rising so high. Our treasury yields wouldn't be so high. What's actually happening is the money's going out because you are a pathetic loser and people see you as so unstable and unpredictable that countries don't want to who have their money in our bond markets or in our equity markets. So billions of dollars are leaving. People are selling their bonds and selling their holdings here because they don't trust you. They're taking their gold. They're taking their assets out of the country. That's actually what's happening.

14:57Ben Meiselas:We're not bringing in$21 trillion. Here, play this clip. I will say that we have the hottest, the strongest country we've ever had economically. We have, you've probably heard the new numbers, $21 trillion being invested here. Yes. And under the previous administration, we had less than a half. It was it was a tiny fraction, much less if you take one trillion and cut it in half. That's what we had. We have and that's for four years. We have 21 trillion in the first 16 months, 21 trillion. There's never been a number like that in any country, including China or anywhere. It's what's happening here is incredible.

15:32Factories are being built all over the country. It's a miracle, actually. It's amazing. So we're doing well. That's why those prices stay up there for those teams, I guess.

15:40Ben Meiselas:No doubt. Keep up the good work, sir. Enjoy the rest of the game. Thank you for coming down here for college sports, one of the best, most signature events. You're doing a great job. Thank you, sir. Appreciate you. And as I noted earlier in this video as well, Iran likely is mining the Strait of Hormuz in response to Donald Trump rejecting Iran's overture to try to reach a resolution. Iran basically just said, look, we'll do a seven-day ceasefire if you're agreeable to implementing the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding, which you previously agreed to. You held it up in Versailles, so we'll be willing.

16:16Ben Meiselas:Trump's like, I don't want to do that deal. Trump viewed that overture, I guess, as weakness because Trump isn't capable of making a deal. And so, of course, then Iran's just going to escalate as well. And what is that going to mean? higher gas prices, more suffering here in a war that no American wants to be in. No one wants to be in this catastrophic war in Iran. I'll do more videos as well about some of the updates regarding the Houthi advances more east in Yemen and Saudi Arabia being on the ropes right here. But you have Saudi Arabia's Yemen-backed PLC, the Saudi Arabian government, claiming that Yemen's Ansar al-Houthis are using Iranian air defense weapons with innovative technologies.

17:02Ben Meiselas:And they're saying the reason that they're doing so good is that they're working with Iran. And it's like, okay, what are you trying to say? But there's clearly escalation there as well. And finally, someone sent me this graphic, and I think it's worth sharing with you. The US economy under Joe Biden, 2024. These are articles from The Hill, The Economist, and the Wall Street Journal. June 11, 2024, The Hill, World Bank, impressive U.S. economy is powering the world. October 19, 2024, The Economist, the U.S. economy is the envy of the world. October 31, 2024, The Wall Street Journal, whoever the next president is, the next president inherits a remarkable economy.

17:49Ben Meiselas:That's what the headlines were then. I'll just read you the headlines from those papers that were not like pro-Democratic Party papers, okay? Okay. There you have it. Hit subscribe. Let's get to 7 million subscribers. Thanks for watching, y 'all. Hey, if you want the full story, how democracy got here and how we take it back, pre-order our new book, WTF America, today.
