In short

The episode centers on escalating U.S.-Iran tensions, framed as Trump threatening mass violence and war. It claims Trump said he may “blow [Iran] off the map,” described options as “wiping Iran out” or letting it “rot,” and suggested Washington, D.C.’s “triumphal arch” be converted into a military drone/sniper complex. It also alleges Iran and Yemen’s Houthis are not hiding, citing a Tehran parade and statements from Iranian advisor Mojtaba Khomeini (Moshen Razai) and Ansar Allah reporter Hussein Al-Bukhaiti. Key examples include Iran’s troop deployments and Central Command warnings, plus claims of U.S. economic pressure (“Operation Economic Fury/Outcast”) and a Wall Street Journal report that the Iran war could last into 2029. Guests mentioned: Hussein Al-Bukhaiti (Ansar Allah reporter) and Mojtaba Khomeini/Moshen Razai (Iranian military advisor).

2:28Ben Meiselas:We are back to Donald Trump threatening that he is going to blow Iran off the map. He called into state regime media this morning and said that he is in decision mode and he is highly considering blowing Iran off the map. Donald Trump just outright describing genocide. This cannot be normalize folks. Let me explain to you what Donald Trump also did this morning. But first, I want to show you what he said to state regime media. Fox, let's play this clip. Energy and update from the president. Hey, Trey. Yeah. Hey guys, good morning. I just spoke with President Trump about the situation with Iran.

3:04He tells Fox News he's in a deciding mode and that very big things are going to be happening in the not so distant future. The president described the current choices on the table as wiping Iran out, letting them rot economically or making a deal. He added, my question is, if and when do I blow the entire nation up, they better behave. Now I asked the president about -

3:27Ben Meiselas:Then Donald Trump talks about how Washington DC is going to become a massive war zone. And he says that his so-called triumphal arch that he is building will become a military complex. So he's preparing the White House to become a drone port and a military command center. And he's now saying the triumphal arch is going to be used for a war in Washington, D.C. Here's what he posted this morning. At the strong request of the United States military and for national security purposes, I have agreed to convert the magnificent triumphal arch planned since the Civil War era many years ago at the receptive circle adjoining the Arlington Memorial Bridge into a top-grade military complex triumphal arch to house store and have the rapid ability to use large number of drones plus snipers on both the roof and plaza areas and additionally have and hold large quantities of sniper ammunition in storage there will be no facility like this anywhere in the world and i reported earlier this morning how yesterday trump says he's creating ai force like space force an entire military division that will be focused on AI.

4:47Ben Meiselas:This as we learned that an AI chatbot almost got the United States involved in a war with China recently. And this as we also learned that F-35 parts found their way to China. I should also note that as Treasury Secretary Besant has been threatening any country that does business with Iran with economic D-Day, massive sanctions. He was photographed earlier with China's treasury head as well. By the way, Donald Trump goes on to say how we are the only country that doesn't have a triumphal arch, and it's going to be great when it is a military triumphal arch. We've also reported here on the Midas Touch Network how European countries are effectively preparing for World War III.

5:28Ben Meiselas:They're all saying that they expect Russian hybrid attacks to be taking place soon. And Russia also announced where Russia basically borders Estonia. There will be a curfew through September 26th. And some of the threats that at least European countries have been saying is that Russia may send elite teams of special forces into European countries to test NATO Article 5. Meanwhile, Putin says that he expects there to be an invasion from European countries. Things are escalating. And now Donald Trump is talking about turning Washington, D.C. into a war zone with the triumphal arch becoming a military arch, whatever the hell that's supposed to mean.

6:08Ben Meiselas:Then Donald Trump, two state regime media, Fox says that the Iranian officials are all hiding like rats. Here play this clip. The president described some of the challenges that the Trump administration faces right now when dealing with the Iranians. He said some of the officials are hiding like rats. That's what he described it as in terms of actually getting people to the table that could make a deal. But ultimately, the Trump had - Quite the contrary. They're not hiding like rats. We covered here on the Midas Touch Network, a military parade that took place in Tehran over the past few days.

6:42Ben Meiselas:There was also a 10K run that I shared with you. And we saw President Pazeski and Iran's president there. We saw Iran's Central Command military leaders there. They were all there. I mean, they're photographed literally being in the city center of Tehran where hundreds of thousands of people showed up in this event. It was a kind of an event supportive of the regime and also kind of protesting the attacks on Iran. But it was a major parade, a major event. Meanwhile, Iran's top military advisor to Ayatollah Khomeini, Mojtaba Khomeini, that is Moshen Razai, we see where he is. He's been giving interviews basically every day.

7:23Ben Meiselas:Here's what he said in the most recent interview released this morning. If the Americans are serious, let their soldiers come and enter Iran. Why don't they come in? Ground forces are always the ones that have the final word in wars. Why do the airborne divisions not come? Why do the U.S. ground forces not enter Iran? Why do they only bomb from the sky and then leave? Trump greatly underestimated Iran, motioned Razai Iran's security council secretary says. Today, nobody considers America's war with Iran to be rational or logical. Everyone describes it as a stupid war. And I want to add another word to that, ignorant.

8:00Ben Meiselas:American military, economic, and political actions were not based on any precise assessment or accurate calculations. They were carried out entirely at the instigation of Israel and Netanyahu personally. But Donald Trump ranting and raving like a lunatic this morning saying, they're hiding like rats. We don't know where they are. Donald Trump also told state regime media, Fox, that he's in constant communication with the Houthis. He's like speaking with Ansarala every day, he says. Here, play this clip. Going US naval blockade, but also the attacks by Iran backed Houthis in Yemen that targeted Saudi Arabia yesterday with ballistic missiles.

8:38The president said the United States is in constant communication with the Houthis and that they've agreed not to fight the United States. But again, the big headline here, The president says he is in a -

8:48Ben Meiselas:Now I spoke with one of the top Ansar Allah reporters, Hussein Al-Bukhaiti. And Al-Bukhaiti's brother, Muhammad Al-Bukhaiti, is a governor for Ansar Allah in Yemen and also sits on the main political bureau. So the guy I interviewed, Hussein Al-Bukhaiti, in addition to being a top reporter, he's one of the most kind of connected people to leadership in Yemen. You probably saw the interview. I dropped it the other day. Here's what he had to say about Donald Trump. Here, play this clip. We look at him here in Sana 'a and maybe in all Yemen as like someone who is a fool, who doesn't know what to say.

9:27He doesn't know what not to say. He just like what comes to his mouth, he will just say it and is actually making the reputation of the United States as one of the countries that's considered the free world, making it bad. And even here, I mean, if somebody will break an agreement or a word with someone, we call him Trump.

9:53Ben Meiselas:But then Donald Trump told state regime media Fox that, you know, this weekend is no different than any other weekend, despite what threatening total annihilation and genocide. I mean, I guess for Donald Trump and his genocidal, completely crazed, lunatic behavior, this is normal for him. but we should not accept this as normal in the United States that this is even taking place. And how about state regime media? Like, I know you're a propaganda network, but how about you do your damn job and say what Donald Trump's talking about is genocide. What Donald Trump is talking about are heinous war crimes, annihilating and blowing a country off the map.

10:31Ben Meiselas:What the hell is wrong with you? But anyway, here's Donald Trump saying this weekend's no different. Let's play it. Open to it, but describe this weekend as no different from any other weekend despite these alerts that went out to US citizens across the region. Remember, a lot of moving parts here. It's not just the situation with Iran and the ongoing US naval blockade, but also the - And then Donald Trump goes back to, well, I might meet with President Pazeskian and Foreign Minister Aragji when they're in New York next week or this upcoming week at the United Nations. I may meet with them, he says.

11:01Ben Meiselas:So total annihilation, they're hiding like rats. I'm going to meet with them. Maybe they want to do a deal. Do you see the lunatic behavior here, folks. Let's play this clip. The president about the UN General Assembly this week, Iranian President Masoud Pazeshkian is going to be there. And I asked if he'd be open to meeting with the Iranian leader, and he said he'd probably be open to it. But described this weekend as no different from any other weekend, despite these alerts that went out to US citizens across the region. Now, Iran's IRGC says that the US has decided to resume military action against Iran at a joint meeting in a European country.

11:38Ben Meiselas:The IRGC says they are prepared for any U.S. strikes. Iran's army, with at least 420 ,000 troops, says that their ground forces are deploying across the country's borders, preparing for a massive escalation. And meanwhile, the Central Command of Iran sent the following message. You know, there's the IRGC and then there's the Iranian army. Then Central Command in Iran is almost like their CENTCOM, which kind of coordinates IRGC and army activities. We warn that if the United States makes a mistake against the Islamic Republic of Iran, all of its bases and interests in the region will become the target of continuous, effective and painful attacks without any limitations or considerations.

12:20Ben Meiselas:We warned that if a regional country continues to dub their double standards towards the Islamic Republic of Iran and aligns themselves with the aggression of the great Satan against the powerful Islamic Iran, they will be considered complicit in this evil and they can no longer expect restraint or decency from Islam's, from Iran's powerful armed forces. And so Donald Trump then sends his sycophants out there like Kevin Hassett, Donald Trump's top economic advisor. And they just go and they'll just start to lie this morning. So after all this that I said, he trots out these idiots and Kevin Hassett, who's been wrong about everything his entire life.

12:58Ben Meiselas:It's like inflation's way down. The American people are doing great. Here play this clip. There's been a big reduction in inflation, but prices are higher because of the huge inflation that we inherited from Joe Biden. But inflation is way down. Again, over the last three months, we're right at the Fed's target and it's dropped sharply despite what's going on in the Middle East. And so I think that, you know, I go to the grocery store every weekend and I just noticed, as an example, that the hamburger for my barbecue yesterday was down two dollars from a couple of weeks ago. And so I'm seeing prices move in the right direction.

13:31Ben Meiselas:There was a rate hike. And this is why we need a really strong media diet. We need to build up resiliency against this BS, against this propaganda. It's one of the reasons I use Ground News. Ground News is an app and a website that pulls in thousands of articles from around the world and organizes them by story to show you how the left, center, and right are framing the story differently. For every story, they have a color-coded layout to make it easy to see the political bias of each source. They also show you if it's a large media conglomerate with corporate interests behind the story or whether it is a media outlet that is independently owned.

14:06Ben Meiselas:And so you take a look at this story right here, for example, the NAACP sues to block the Trump administration from sending armed agents to the polls. This was covered by the left. This was covered by the center. No coverage on the right. Why? In my opinion, because they've accepted outright authoritarian and they don't even get to hear about these things from their media sources. So I'm always looking to see how is media getting disseminated to people and how I think about the Midas Touch network and further growing this network. Ground News has that dedicated blind spot feed I just showed you.

14:39Ben Meiselas:I believe in Ground News so much. We're going to offer you 40 % off the same vantage plan that I use for my research. So just go click the link in the description or go to ground.news slash MTN or scan the QR code up here. It's one of the biggest discounts they've ever offered. So if you want to support the channel and get a clearer understanding of the world, try out Ground News. One more time, ground.news slash MTN. So more Trump sycophants going on the morning shows and behaving like utter buffoons and lunatics and liars that they are, but they look also so weak now, right? For example, you have Congresswoman Salazar from South Florida.

15:20Ben Meiselas:She recently cut that ad in front of the White House. She was like, Donald, your advisors are leading you astray. You should support the Dignity Act and have a pathway to citizenship for immigrants in my district. She told the immigrants and the immigrant population in her district and families who were from Cuba and Venezuela and Haiti and all these other locations, a big immigrant district that you have nothing to worry about with Trump. He's not going to revoke temporary protected status. He supports you. He supports your dignity. And now she's like, Donald advisors, you screwed this one up.

15:54Ben Meiselas:But she still has this like deranged, you know, line that she uses. Like, she's like, this was all part of the plan in Venezuela. We want to work with Maduro's regime with Delce Rodriguez. This is all part of, this is three-dimensional chess. Really, it's three-dimensional chess. That's why these people are lunatics and they are just the, I don't care about it from a political standpoint. These people are just scumbags and they are liars. And just you'll see for yourself here. Play this clip. Well, once again, you see, we go back to Donald Trump. He created this new blueprint, the Western Hemisphere and how to deal with the dictators.

16:31And what he did was that he and think about this. I think that we discussed this. He created this. He has forced the bad actors like Delci because she was next to Maduro and we know that they were not good people for the Venezuelans. So Trump has forced the bad actors to create the platform for the good actors to come in. Just like President, like Secretary Rubio said recently that there was recovery trends and then

16:58Ben Meiselas:And then she goes, it's his advisors who are leading him astray. Let's play this clip. It doesn't sound like he agreed to take your advice. You did say in that ad as well that he's getting bad advice, bad counsel from his advisors. Who? I think that some of his advisors are compromising his legacy. And I think it's my duty. It's my duty not to, there are no attacks here. I'm just for warning him and advising him as a member of Congress from the South Florida area that some of his advisors are just not presenting the whole picture. Secretary Mullen, immigration enforcement. Tom Homan, Stephen Miller.

17:37Listen, he is the only elected official in the White House. He is the one who has to determine who he listened and who he does not listen to.

17:47Ben Meiselas:Then we hear from UN ambassador Mike Walls and he's asked by Dana Bash about reports that the war with Iran is going to last through the end of Donald Trump's term. And Walt, the UN ambassador, who's supposed to be about like resolution and peace, you're the UN ambassador, dude. He was the national security advisor, but then he was in that signal chat. Remember when the US lost to the Houthis in the war back in 2025, where all of our planes started like falling off of ships and it was like all mysterious. And now we probably know that what was really going down in the Trump regime lies about everything.

18:25Ben Meiselas:In any event, Mike Walls basically is like, yeah, the war may, you know, time is on our side here. Time is on our side. Really? Tell that to people who depend on diesel to fuel their businesses and to survive. Tell that to the American people who can't fill up their tanks with gas because it's too expensive. As prices are surging and as the American people are suffering, make that your pitch, Waltz, that time is on our side, that this is all going great in your world. I mean, maybe because you all grifted and stole from the American people and talk about triumphal military arches. Maybe you all think it's good, but not for the American people.

19:01Ben Meiselas:Listen to what Walt says here. Play this clip. More broadly on Iran, the Wall Street Journal reports the president's top advisors are warning that the Iran war could continue through the remainder of the president's term. We're talking 2029. Is that what you think? Well, I think the time with the president's strategy and Operation Economic Fury is on the president and on the United States side. The blockade is in place. You just heard the CENTCOM commander, Admiral Bradley Cooper, announce a milestone of over a billion barrels of oil, have been escorted by our great U.S. Navy from our Gulf allies out to global markets, but not a drop of Iranian oil.

19:45is coming out. And we're seeing the results of Operation Economic Outcast led by Scott Bessent, our Treasury Secretary. The Iranian real, their currency just tanked below 2 million reals to the dollar.

19:59Ben Meiselas:Inflation - Even on state regime media, Fox Doocy had to go and ask Kevin Hassett. So I don't know, man, these numbers seem pretty bad. Here, play this clip. I wanna know which of these things sets off alarm bells inside the West Wing. We're gonna put up a couple polls. Only 23 percent of voters thinking the economy is excellent or good, 12 percent of voters describing their personal financial situation as getting ahead, or 62 percent of voters saying grocery prices are a major problem for their family. Do any of those make you think we've got a problem here? Look, I'm the White House economist and all I can say is that polls over and over again harm impressions about the economy because they poll way too many Democrats.

20:47If you look, for example, at the Michigan survey, the Democrats in the Michigan survey are saying that we've got the worst economy since the Great Depression because they hate President Trump. Republicans are basically seeing what we see, which is a very strong economy with low inflation. GDP now in the third quarter is supposed to be 5 percent. We just had a blockbuster jobs report. We've got real income growth. We've got huge progress on affordability. Do you realize that the decline in drug prices because of what we've been doing is the largest in 64 years? And so there's so much economic good news.

21:20But what happens is that you'll notice that the sort of far left media, what they'll do is instead of letting you talk about the news, giving you the facts like the 5 percent GDP growth, the large income growth, the three thousand dollar decline in real incomes under Joe Biden. And instead of talking about that, what they want to do is talk about these Jimmy polls. And I just I'm not convinced at all. And I can tell you that in the economic literature, the one thing that you see is that what matters in the end is what's in people's pockets. Think about this. One of the worst things that could happen to someone is they get laid off.

21:51Initial claims for unemployment insurance are the lowest on record going all the way back to World War Two. So people aren't losing their jobs. It's a really strong economy. And rather than talk about the strong economy, people want to talk about these silly polls. No far left media here. No, no, but you're saying what they say. Why don't you put up some facts to say, what do you think about the 5 % GDP growth? What do you think about the claims lowest ever? What do you think about drug prices, biggest decline in 64 years? That's all I'm saying, Peter. I'm not criticizing you as being partisan.

22:21And I totally get it. Look.

22:23Ben Meiselas:Then I wanna bring us back to this finally. Former President Obama, he gave a speech at Colgate University. We have the full speech on our live feed. We covered it live on the Midas Touch Network. I hope you'll watch the full speech. It's refreshing. It's an honor that we got the exclusive to cover it here on the Midas Touch Network. Listen to what Obama has to say on Trump's press ban. Here play this clip. I would never have anticipated. My imagination could not foresee some of the stuff that's going on right now. I believe there was just an announcement that the White House decided, you know what, CNN, MSN, MSNOW, maybe the New York Times was included, you just can't come to the White House press briefings anymore because you're giving the current president unfavorable coverage.

Read the full transcript

23:18I'm trying to think what would have happened if I had said, you know what, Fox News, you're out of here. It's unimaginable.

23:27Ben Meiselas:And here, listen to what Obama has to say here about American value and principles, how even our adversaries expected the United States to solve big problems and not to do what's happening right now. Play this clip. Even our adversaries often expect us to solve big problems that cross national boundaries. countries, and that's something we should be proud of, but it's also something that we should feel some responsibility for. Because when we don't get things right, when we're not our best selves, the whole world gets a little dimmer. And when we stand up for values like human rights or freedom of speech or express concern and are proactive around issues like climate change, then not everybody goes along 100 percent, but the world leans into a better direction.

24:37Ben Meiselas:And finally, former President Obama talks about the thing that strikes him when he travels across the country. Let's play it. There is a. The thing that strikes you when you travel around the country is that we are not as divided as our politics or our media would suggest. Now, that's a problem structurally. There are reasons why our politics divides us, whether it's gerrymandering or

25:14unrestricted campaign spending and negative ads.

25:19And there's also structural reasons why the media divides us because in this social media world now, we're all siloed off and we each are pushed towards a very particular vision of the world, often fed by fear, that makes us mistrust each other. But when you're on the ground, what's striking is that, I remember the first time I started campaigning in Iowa, and look, there is a lot of corn there. That stereotype is true. But you'll go into a rural community in Iowa, and discover that here's a town that was founded by hippies. And here's, there's an Orthodox community, a Jewish community living side by side with a bunch of farmers.

26:20And people work together, and they extend grace towards each other in ways that you do not see in your doom scrolling.

26:33Ben Meiselas:Well, there you have it, everybody. I hope you get your copy of WTF America, The Way Out of This Hell and Back to Democracy. Seriously, pub date is pretty soon.
