20Ben Meiselas:Give Donald Trump a taste of his own medicine. Shove it in his face. Bully him. Mock him. Every second, rapid response. Go on the offense. And by the way, I'm not just talking about politicians doing it. I'm talking about we the people. We shouldn't give an inch either. By the way, did you see that WWE event where Donald Trump got absolutely booed when his image was presented? Those were his fans, by the way, and they were booing the crap out of him. But let me tell you who I think has done a pretty good job pushing back at Donald Trump and his regime. Governor Gavin Newsom on social media, boom, rapid response, bully Trump, shove it in his face.

07Ben Meiselas:So the Trump regime posts an image like this, that this is their new golden ballroom that they want to build for$200 million, fully funded, it says, by President Trump, which we all know is going to be BS. We're going to have Qataris fund it. You're going to have the Saudis fund it. Governor Newsom responds, bam, the White House is more interested in defending its ballroom than the 17 million Americans they kicked off of health care. Boom, post this meme of Caroline Levitt like the lady from Hunger Games and post the following. While all districts pay extra for groceries and everyday goods, the White House is excited to announce that the Capitol is creating a grand ballroom for opulent parties.

52Ben Meiselas:May the odds be in your favor. Boom, you got to do stuff like that. Mock them, use current events, use culture, hit them hard. The Washington Post reported the maker of Dawn dish soap, Charmin toilet paper, Crest toothpaste and Tide detergent will be raising prices in August because of tariffs. Gavin Newsom responds, Mr. President, we've had so much winning. Please, we beg you, make it stop. So much winning. Then you have Governor Newsom post the following. While Donald Trump gaslights and golfs, his economic failures are making life more and more unbearable for working Americans. The golden age that Trump promised has turned into appalling job numbers and paying for his latest tariffs at the checkout line.

40Ben Meiselas:Layoffs are at the highest level since the COVID pandemic, a quarter million fewer jobs added in May and June than initially reported, and the firing of the Bureau and Labor Statistics Commissioner, the official who reported accurate economic numbers. I love this. Governor Newsom calls Donald Trump cankles, cankles, because Donald Trump has those massive ankles at this point because of the health issues that he's covering up. So Donald Trump posts, make America fit again. By the way, he's there with a sexual predator, Lawrence Taylor, who was convicted of sexually assaulting an underage girl. That's who Donald Trump has running the fitness program for little children.

25Ben Meiselas:Governor Newsom responds, we love to see President Kankles pass it. Meaning, come on, Kankles, let's see you pass your own fitness test that you have Lawrence Taylor, who sexually assaulted underage girls, administering to the children. Can we just reflect on that for a second? As I've said before, this shouldn't be red versus blue, Democrat, Republican, or independent issues. This is good versus evil. This should be pretty common sense. Would any of you want a convicted sex offender who's on the registry to live near you? Would you want them to teach your kids or your grandkids? Well, Donald Trump brought him into the White House, someone who sexually assaulted an underage girl and made this person the person who administers fitness tests to children?

12Ben Meiselas:The hell? Then Donald Trump's Department of Energy posts a photo of coal and says, she's an icon, she's a legend, and she is the moment to which Governor Newsom responds, she's black lung. Exactly. Push back all the time. Then Fox News posts the following, I put news in quotes, this photo of Donald Trump breaking. Trump agrees to extend the deadline for Mexico trade deal for 90 more days with temporary tariffs remaining in place. Governor Newsom's office responds, taco Thursday, taco Thursday, everybody. You know, and look, we should also reflect on the fact, though, that Donald Trump attacked Canada and says Canada's bringing in all of this fentanyl, 35 % tariffs on Canada.

00Ben Meiselas:When the U.S. gives far more fentanyl into Canada, Canada barely gives any fentanyl into the United States. It's like the way Putin talks about denazification of Ukraine is Donald Trump talking about Canada putting fentanyl into the United States. But you got to mock him. And I think one of the reasons that Donald Trump is so angry at Canada is how strong and proud the people are. They stand up to Donald Trump. They give him the middle finger. They say, F you, you piece of crap. Canada strong. The Conservative Party, liberals, and NDP. Spencer Hakimian posts, inflation is just a straight line up since April when the tariffs began.

42Ben Meiselas:And this is with the government explicitly now manipulating economic data, to which Governor Newsom responds, as Trump would say, I guess this is the golden age. Newswire wrote, 26 ,000 US manufacturing jobs were lost in May and June. Governor Newsom responds, They may not be telling the truth, this Trump regime, when they said we're bringing manufacturing back. Ryan Walters, that Trump sycophantic MAGA superintendent from Oklahoma. Oklahoma is the worst education state in all of the United States. This is the dude who watched the porno in his office. And now he's like, they framed me. That wasn't my porno.

26Ben Meiselas:They framed me with the porno. This is the guy who makes people buy the Trump Bibles. That wasn't my porno. Governor Newsom responds, you got caught looking of pictures of naked women during a school board meeting. Shut up. Shut up, you. That's what you gotta do. You know that constant struggle between wanting the durability and performance of stainless steel pans and the easy cleanup of nonstick? I used to think you had to pick one or the other. It would honestly stress me out until I got my hands on Hexclad. I've been using Hexclad in my kitchen for a bit now, and I can safely say these are hands down the best pans I have ever used, and you know that I take my cooking seriously.

06I've cooked everything from steak to scrambled eggs to fish to veggies, and not only does the food cook evenly and beautifully, but cleanup is a breeze. Seriously, these things are dishwasher safe, but half the time I don't even need it. Just a quick wipe and done. Hexclad combines the performance of stainless steel with the convenience of nonstick, and their patented hexagon design even stands up to metal utensils, no scratches. Plus, they are oven safe up to 500 degrees and come with a lifetime warranty. So yes, they literally last a lifetime. And it's not just cookware. They've got knives made with 67 layers of Japanese Damascus steel that slice like a dream.

14Ben Meiselas:And you all may be saying, Ben, Ben, Ben, we go high when they go low. No, you know what you do? You say you were watching porno at your school board meeting. You shut the hell up. You shut the hell up, cankles. I hope one day we move beyond this. I mean, I truly do. But if this is the game right now, as Governor Newsom says, we can't cede territory. We have the moral authority and we have to punch back. We can't sit back in a fetal position and just take it. We can't. The Hill writes, Ford, Ford Motors, the car company, posts its first quarterly loss in two years after$800 million tariff hit.

54Ben Meiselas:Governor Newsom writes, Trump's driving America's auto industry straight off a cliff. We learned how Trump ordered the Smithsonian to remove exhibits about his impeachment. Governor Newsom responds, Trump censoring the Smithsonian like It's the Epstein list. History gets erased when it implicates it. Like the Epstein list. Bring it back there. Trump is covering up for Epstein with his relationship with Epstein. The GOP stands for guardians of the pedos. They're literally there. They're giving preferential queen for the day or year treatment to Ghislaine Maxwell, a convicted sex trafficker. They have sex offenders in the White House running the kids programs.

37Ben Meiselas:Don't normalize it. This is easy. Just call this crap out. This is easy, folks. Then you have, they posted this photo of John Travolta from Pulp Fiction looking at all of Trump's August 1 trade deals. Then it's a photo of Kid Rock just like looking like a mess. And then Governor Newsom goes, here's Trump's new commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics. It is Kid Rock, everybody. Governor Newsom posts a photo of Voldemort and says, hope everyone has a great Friday night unless you're Stephen Miller, pictured here. Governor Newsom posts this meme of a bald J.D. Vance and fat J.D. Vance. And Governor Newsom goes, J.D.

19Ben Meiselas:Vance is hypocrisy in the flesh. First he was against Trump. Now he sits in his lap. I don't know if you knew this, folks, as well, but J.D. Vance was once gay. Did you know the story about J.D. Vance? J.D. Vance said that he was a gay man. And then he said he got like conversion therapy and then he became straight. Or he believed he was gay or he told his mom that he was gay. I mean, he's had multiple names. He went from gay to straight, he claims. He had multiple identities and names. The hell is this guy? Who the hell is this guy? Then you have Governor Newsom's press office. To me, this is a serious issue because these MAGAs make up every lie about Newsom, especially when it comes to issues like fires, they spread the lies right away.

05Ben Meiselas:So you'll have these MAGAs saying, hey, Gavin Newsom, you're doing so well at fire prevention and mitigation that in a short span of time, the Gifford fire near Santa Barbara has grown to 24 ,000 acres. It is only 5 % contained. Bravo. Everything you say is BS propaganda. You refuse to clear brush, brush. And now, and then Governor Newsom goes, the Gifford fire started on Trump's federally managed land in the Los Padres National Forest. National Forest. While Trump just gutted wildfire funding, CAL FIRE is now stepping in to clean up what federal mismanagement helped fuel. That's the California way.

48Ben Meiselas:Governor Newsom also posts the following. Before Donald Trump fired the Bureau of Labor Statistics Commissioner, the U.S. Department of Labor was bragging about the job numbers, 73 ,000 new jobs added in July. Governor Newsom office responds, you forgot to mention the part about layoffs climbing to their highest levels since the pandemic. Yeah, you may want to mention that. Regarding the termination of the commissioner for statistics, Newsom says, this is what dictators do. Then Governor Newsom did that eye emoji next to a map that shows California becoming fully blue. He goes, okay, Texas, you want to play games with your gerrymandering.

34Ben Meiselas:We will turn California into all blue. We'll pick up a bunch of seats as well. Governor Newsom then posts the following, game on. Here, play this video right here. See, as you can see, the more you fuck around, the more you're going to find out. And then when the Trump regime posted a photo of the gold 90 ,000 square feet ballroom that they want to build, they're going to destroy the East Wing and build this gaudy, disgusting looking ballroom. And who the hell knows who's paying for this thing? Ain't going to be Trump, by the way. He may pay a teeny tiny amount, but Trump's not ruling out foreign governments.

12Ben Meiselas:Who the hell's paying for this? Newsom goes, oh, thank God. This is what the American people were desperately pleading with you to do. That's right. announcing an upcoming expansion of the White House ballroom. Oh, absolutely. And by the way, the people are pissed as well. In response to the White House posting this image of the ballroom, you have responses like this. But you can't afford pediatric cancer research. They're adding a ballroom while cutting your health care. Yay, more spending that the peasants won't ever enjoy. I thought we really needed to save money. Wasn't that the point of cutting off aid programs?
