In short
The episode centers on a critique of Donald Trump’s “disastrous” remarks during a speech in an Air Force One hangar, including claims about his health, incoherent statements, and alleged misinformation. Key claims include: Trump’s trip to Camp David signals “red flags” (mini-strokes, Alzheimer’s/dementia); he bragged that Qatar gave him a new 747/Air Force One and that it upholds U.S. prestige; he falsely said he signed an Iran memorandum “last night” and didn’t know its contents; he claimed the economy is the best ever and that Pete Hegseth “never lost a war”; he asserted “unlimited” fuel for Air Force One; he praised Venezuela while critics cite high gas prices and strategic reserve depletion.
Notable examples
Qatar’s jet gift, the Iran MoU timing, claims about Lebanon deaths, golf-course redesigns with Jack Nicklaus/Tiger Woods references, and Axios comments praising Xi Jinping and the Ayatollah. Guest info: no guests are identified; the host references editor Ron Filipkowski and mentions reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, plus “Leslie Marshall” as an explainer.

2:25Ben Meiselas:Make it Z-amazing.
2:53Ben Meiselas:see him walk back and forth. He doesn't know where the stage is. Also, Donald Trump will be going to Camp David right now. Donald Trump hates going to Camp David as all of these red flags have surfaced about Donald Trump's health, whether he has been having a series of mini strokes, whether he has Alzheimer's or serious dementia. People are asking these questions. I'm asking these questions. That's all we're saying. We're giving opinions about his deteriorating health. The fact that he's going to Camp David, he can't complete coherent sentences. He's going to be disappearing for the weekend. I think that raises a lot more red flags.
3:30Ben Meiselas:But back to this disastrous speech in front of a very, very tiny crowd. Donald Trump starts to brag about the new Air Force One Qatari version of it. And Donald Trump says, how amazing is this? Most other presidents wouldn't do this. But I asked Qatar, I want your jet. And then they gave it to me as a gift. Isn't that amazing? He says, as our editor in chief, Ron Filipkowski says, Donald Trump says that Qatari generosity was necessary to uphold the prestige of the United States. How far we have fallen as a country under this despicable regime. Let's play this clip. We were at a little bit of a logjam.
4:13We're waiting for the, I call them the normal 747s. And I asked the Amir if we could use the brand new 747 that he got with, had when we first heard about 800 hours, 800 hours for an airplane is essentially, I think Troy, you could say that's a brand new plane. And I said, we'd like to use it for a little while because the planes are pretty old. Our planes are old. See, a normal president wouldn't do this. A normal president wants to stay away from aircraft. We don't want to order any aircraft so that everybody thinks. But our country has to be represented properly and includes with. We have the greatest military in the world.
4:55We have the greatest aircraft anywhere in the world. Military fighters and bombers and the B-2 bomber. You saw what that did.
5:02Ben Meiselas:And we should have a plane. Then Donald Trump goes on to say that last night, again, I'm recording this video, depending on when you're watching it, I'm recording this video on a Friday. He said last night he signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Iran. He didn't sign it last night, which would have been Thursday. He signed it in France on Wednesday. He has no clue where he is right now. He doesn't even know what's in the Memorandum of Understanding, apparently, which was written in Farsi. Then he goes on to say that we have the best economy ever and things are absolutely just amazing. We don't have the best economy ever.
5:41Ben Meiselas:People are suffering and you made things so much worse by being involved in this unlawful and catastrophic war that you and Netanyahu went into together. And now you can restrain Netanyahu as Israel continues to destroy civilian areas in Lebanon as the death toll there continues to mount. He killed over 50 people. 50 innocent people were killed in the past 24 hours alone in Lebanon. And that was paragraph one of your memorandum of understanding that you don't even know was not signed last night. Let's play this clip. And now we have an agreement that was signed last night and it's 60 days. I have to make a deal.
6:27Otherwise, we we will do things that won't make them happy. But I don't think it's going to get to that. I think it's going to be very good. Remember, if we do that, then all of a sudden you're not going to have the oil flowing out of the straight too quickly because people that own billion dollar ships don't love missiles flying over them, don't love mines all over the water. and this is going to be amazing what's happening now because we have the greatest economy that we've ever had. We have$19.2 trillion coming into our country.
6:59Ben Meiselas:Then Donald Trump says that Pete Hegseth never lost a war. He doesn't know how to lose. He literally lost the only war that he was involved in and he lost it bad. And now we're out of munitions and we're out of money. So he needs an emergency appropriations from Congress for$80 billion or else the Defense Department can't pay its bills. We also learned through the book Regime Change that New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan are publishing. Apparently, they allege that you and Pete Hegseth would watch these death videos together of the charred bodies and seemingly get off on them from your war crimes when you would blow up these boats off the coast of Venezuela, that you and Hegseth would get off on it together in the Oval Office, you sickos.
7:54Ben Meiselas:Here, let's play this clip. Fantastic. Thank you very much. And I also want to thank, I think, a natural born warrior. His name is Pete Hegseth, and he has done working with the generals and everybody else. He's a natural, I believe. Well, so far, we've been winning all the time. We're not going to lose. He doesn't know how to lose. And he's a tough cookie. And he he loved the first day I met him. I said, this guy really loves the military. Very successful. Great colleges. Went to the best schools. Great student. But he loved the military. And I said, I'm going to give him a chance. And he more than lived up to the reputation.
8:35So he's great. He's doing a fantastic job. Pete Hexeth.
8:43Ben Meiselas:Then Donald Trump turns to the new Qatari Air Force One. Let me repeat. Why do we have a Qatari Air Force One? What in the deranged hellhole is this? But he said, look how beautiful it is. It's red, white, and blue. This is my taste. Your taste is taking Qatari jets? Why would that be your taste? It's ridiculous. Let's play this clip right here. Two groups that they got together and they put on a performance. And I think we're going to get some of that too. And it's really, these are fantastic people. So we had it all painted up. And these are the new colors, red, white and blue. And we like the baby blue, but it was time for a change.
9:25And this is the sleekest line. Everything was designed good. It was my taste, I will say. I like, he said, what color do you like? I said, I like the color of the American flag, right? That makes sense. So we have that and all of the planes in the fleet are being changed into this look, which is a much better look and a more appropriate look.
9:47Ben Meiselas:Then he boasts about the golf course that he's, he goes, the military, you'll love what I'm doing for you. We are designing new golf courses that you can use. Huh? Here, play this clip. We're doing you a little favor. You have two and a half really bad golf courses here. Really bad. They have no water. They're dying. And everybody wants to play, but they're really not representative of quality. So Jack Nicholas, who's a friend of mine, is doing. I told him he's a great designer, too. He was the greatest player. Tiger and Jack, Jack and Tiger. Gary Player was right there, too. Gary. Gary won 168 tournaments.
10:28We got to say that's pretty good, too. But Jack Nicklaus, a great, great legendary golfer. He won 18 majors and close to 100 tournaments. And known also, very rarely does this happen, known also. He's really become a fantastic golf course designer. He's done tremendous golf course.
10:50Ben Meiselas:Then he claims that the new Air Force One doesn't run out of fuel. We have what's called unlimited. we have unlimited fuel what does that even mean it's unlimited what is it's nuclear power what do you mean it's unlimited fuel again this is a deranged lunatic who's going to camp david under very mysterious circumstances let's play it the largest air force one ever built it flies further and faster than any air force one those are the giant engines those are incredible engines is the fastest, flies further. You don't have to stop for fuel every few hours. You maybe will never have to stop for fuel.
11:35They call it unlimited. Well, it's pretty close to unlimited.
11:38Ben Meiselas:Then he goes on to boast about how good things are in Venezuela right now and how happy the people are in Venezuela and everyone's doing so good and we're getting so rich off of the Venezuelan oil. Okay, right now gas prices are still high. if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, it will continue to go up. For all of the oil you claim, you admitted two days ago that we were running out of these strategic reserves, and in two to three weeks, we were going to hit tank bottom, which I've been warning against. So how has this been helping the American people? And by the way, it's not helping the Venezuelan people.
12:16Ben Meiselas:As Leslie Marshall explains, currently in Venezuela, there's widespread public sentiment that soured into frustration. The people of Venezuela are livid about the pace of economic recovery there, and they just see it as an extension of Maduro. Pay attention to what's going to happen in the situation in Venezuela, because it is getting worse and worse by the day there as well. Let's play this clip. But we have a lot of victories. We had a great victory in Venezuela, where we're now doing really well with the government. The big companies are all in there. the oil companies, they're building rigs.
12:53And we've paid for that war many, many times over. We're running it. And again, we have a fantastic relationship with the people of Venezuela. And Venezuela has become a happy country because they have never made the money that they're making. Now, we take some and they take some. But I just want to thank the general for the job, Raisin Cain. I liked his name right away. I had him.
13:16Ben Meiselas:Now, while Donald Trump was giving this speech, you had the spectacle unfolding outside of the reflecting pool, which is now, again, green slime filled with so much algae. We've learned more about the inside dealing and contractors that Donald Trump has brought in to do the filtration system. And they didn't even do the filtration until apparently after the reflecting pool was filled. All of these shady characters who were involved in these criminal investigations. We now have all of the blue paint falling off the bottom of the reflecting pool because that's what happens when you put hydrogen peroxide in there.
13:57Ben Meiselas:And then you have people like who dressing up. You have people dressing up as algae saying, I'm algae. I'm beating MAGA. This is what's going on right now. So you can see for yourself. Let's play this clip.
14:15And it's not just the reflecting pool, folks.
14:24Ben Meiselas:Look at what Donald Trump did to the ellipse with that UFC event. Literally, they destroyed the ellipse. They turned it into, they like turned the ellipse into like a dirt patch. Do you see what the ellipse looks like right now? So I just want to reflect on this as well, because this was pretty deranged also. Donald Trump, before going to the interview in the Joint Andrews base, he gave an interview with Axios. And what Donald Trump told Axios is that Xi Jinping is a really handsome guy, really good-looking, really handsome. Here's what he said. Play this clip. But Modi's great. President Xi is great.
15:07Classics, you know. I mean, if you were going to make a movie about either one of them, you wouldn't be able to find the man in Hollywood, I'm telling you. It's like, as an example, the look of Xi. He's got a great look, you know. Looks don't matter, right? You know, we don't like that. They say, don't talk about looks. But he's tall. he's six foot two he's he's uh got a great stature he's got great confidence and he's smart uh modi in a very different way just highly respected i've seen and then donald trump went
15:40Ben Meiselas:on to also praise the ayatollah and said um he's very brave certain braveness um because we injured him unfortunately i hurt him and i killed his dad unfortunately this is what this deranged psychopath is saying let's play it and you killed the ayatollah and i killed the ayatollah number of irgc officials and i sadly hurt the other ayatollah who's who i will tell you i did not meet him i did not speak to him but people were speaking of but he's got a certain braveness because he was he was badly he's badly injured oh the the second yes the son the john jr nevertheless less. And then in terms of the projection and confession, Donald Trump continues to attack Biden randomly and said Biden didn't know how to walk.
16:27Ben Meiselas:He can't go up flights of steps. But, you know, it's tough going up flights of steps. So, you know, occasionally I'll trip. But like, I don't want you to go after me if I trip. What do you what do you what is even going on here? Let's play this clip. The American hemisphere. Is this fundamentally more and more so? Yeah, More and more so. We're much more respected. So we had a man that couldn't walk up a flight of stairs. And I don't want to talk about it because if I ever trip a little bit, they'll say, oh, this is terrible. Okay, can happen. But you can't trip every time you go on a stage. There you have it, folks.
