In short
The episode claims Donald Trump “went mute” after a day of controversial posts and speeches, while multiple crises allegedly backfired. It centers on: Spirit Airlines’ bankruptcy (blamed on Trump-era policies and jet-fuel spikes; Sean Duffy blames Biden/Buttigieg and the DOJ blocked a JetBlue–Spirit merger), low attendance at Trump’s Doral PGA event, and escalating U.S.-Iran tensions (Iran says it won’t give up the Strait of Hormuz; blockade effects described via Bloomberg/DropSite, including continued tanker loading and storage capacity). It also claims U.S. allies (Germany/EU/Poland) are distancing themselves and Russia is exploiting it.

My name is Mackenzie, and I started a GoFundMe for the adoptive mother of a nonverbal autistic child.
0:38The mother had lost her job because she wasn't able to find adequate care for this autistic child. So she really needed some help with living expenses, paying some back bills. So I launched a GoFundMe to help support them during this crisis. And we raised about$10 ,000 within just a couple of months. I think that the surprising thing was by telling a clear story and just like really being very clear about what we needed. We had some really generous donations from people who were really moved by the situation that this family was struggling with. GoFundMe is the world's number one fundraising platform trusted by over 200 million people.

1:31Ben Meiselas:Donald Trump has gone mute on Saturday. No social media posts, no statements as disastrous news once again strikes. We learned this morning that Spirit Airlines is now officially bankrupt as a result of Donald Trump's policies causing the price of jet fuel to spike as a result of Donald Trump's catastrophic war in Iran that still continues today. The Trump regime now blaming former President Biden for the bankruptcy of Spirit Airline in May of 2026. Donald Trump has also been humiliated at his golf course in Doral, where the PGA is currently playing the Cadillac Championship, as we've been reporting on the Midas Touch Network.
2:18Ben Meiselas:Very low attendance at this tournament, perhaps the worst attendance of any tournament in PGA history. You have Iran continuing to call out Donald Trump for all of his lies when Donald Trump is pretending that he's having negotiations with them. Iran is calling them out and saying, we are never giving up the Strait of Hormuz. Also, Donald Trump removing 5 ,000 American soldiers from an air force base in Germany and Germany and the European Union responding and essentially saying that doesn't scare us. We don't care. We've essentially have already rode off the United States as an ally. And you have the Polish foreign minister, for example, you know, another foreign minister saying, you know, we expect this.
3:08Ben Meiselas:The German foreign minister also. I mean, they're all saying we expect this from the United States. We're now focused on building a stronger Europe and working with Ukraine. Donald Trump, of course, is not a reliable ally. The U.S. is no longer a reliable ally. We knew that for a long time, but we're just not putting up with this crap anymore. So last night, before Donald Trump went silent and mute, he was posting things like this. American flag blue. He keeps on making these weird posts of the reflecting pool. That's his new priority. In addition to golden ballrooms, triumphal arches, now it's reflecting pools that he wants to paint blue.
3:46Ben Meiselas:And then he, you know, posts these bizarre photos of himself with his, you know, like these weird AI images of like a skinny version of himself with Marco Rubio and J.D. Vance and Bergam and a random lady in a bikini. And I mean, truly a psychopath. These were all of his posts last night. And then he gave those two really awful speeches. One of the speeches was in the villages at a high school there. Another speech that Donald Trump gave was in a Palm Beach club that was supposed to be nonpartisan. That's where Donald Trump was bragging, we're pirates in the United States, we're pirates. And he was making all of these weird noises like, and then, you know, Iran sees this stuff.
4:28Ben Meiselas:The rest of the world sees this stuff. I mean, they're commenting on all of these posts today. You know, the Iranian South African social media account and other social media accounts tied to Iran says, like if you think he needs therapy. And here's the post that they made. Here, play this clip.
4:49Come on, darling. The mother's screaming like, darling, I love you, darling. Mom, I can't do it.
4:55Ben Meiselas:Meanwhile, in Russia, on their Russian state TV, you had their former president, Medvedev, was giving a speech. And you can just see how he was responding to people in the audience who were asking him about how the US and Europe are essentially no longer allies and what you think about, what do you think about the development between the United States and Europe? So as Donald Trump has destroyed our alliances, now going mute, here's what's going on in Russia. Here, play this clip. If European countries are at loggerheads with the US and the US is on bad terms with the rest of the world, where might this lead?
5:34In short, Russia's victory. It's actually quite amusing to watch how relations between the United States and Europe are developing. This isn't about which side we're on.
5:44Ben Meiselas:We have our own interests. And then this morning you had Sean Duffy, Donald Trump's transportation secretary, holding a press conference following the official bankruptcy of Spirit Airlines, where now I think they had about 7 ,500 employees left. But in total, they had about 17 ,000 employees. So 17 ,000 employees lost their job. The remaining 7 ,500 now out of jobs. And Sean Duffy's response is, it's Biden's fault. It's Pete Buttigieg's fault. No one is buying this Duffy. No one is buying this Trump. We know that you guys are in charge right now. I mean, this is just so utterly ridiculous. Play this clip.
6:23I'll take your questions in a second, but I think it's important going to talk about why are we here today. There was a proposed merger between JetBlue and Spirit, and Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg, along with the Biden DOJ, decided that they did not want that merger to take place.
6:44Ben Meiselas:Also this morning, while Donald Trump has gone silent and mute from his social media platforms after those deranged appearances yesterday, the White House posted a, I'm only going to show four seconds of this. They posted a 60-minute clip of Donald Trump saying winning, winning, winning, winning, winning, winning, winning for an hour. And they loop it. I'm winning. I'm winning, winning, winning, winning, winning. And they play that over for an hour. I mean, this is truly a regime that's not just a regime of fascists, not just a regime of the Epstein class, but this is a regime of pure, unadulterated psychopaths.
7:21Ben Meiselas:Here, play this clip. Winning, winning, winning, winning, winning. winning, winning, winning, winning, winning, winning. Meanwhile, in Iran, Moshe and Razi, a prominent Iranian politician who was a prior commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for 16 years, the longest tenure in the organization's history, who currently serves as the military advisor to Iran's supreme leader, Mojtaba Khomeini, posted the following, and Dropsite covered this as well. An inexperienced and ignorant U.S. war secretary, If he had studied properly, understood geography, and had sufficient knowledge of Iran and the complexities of the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf, would not have trapped the U.S.
8:06Ben Meiselas:military today in a quagmire with no way forward and no way back. They will learn many lessons in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. So you have that going on in Iran. than in Venezuela, acting president, dictator Delcy Rodriguez, who Donald Trump propped up because he said, if we take over Venezuela, all of our oil prices are going to be so cheap, we're going to take their oil. I mean, one, a ridiculous, imperialistic, horrible thing to say and do. But separately, has Venezuela resulted in your oil prices being cheaper? Is that the way it works. Acting President Delce Rodriguez was asked about a timeline for elections in Venezuela.
8:49Ben Meiselas:And she says, I don't know, sometime, very cavalierly, because Donald Trump just props up dictators. Here, play this clip. President Rodriguez, a few questions from the press? No, I'm okay. Thank you. When do you expect to hold elections in Venezuela? I don't know. Sometime. Now, the latest Washington ABC Ipsos poll is showing that Americans view Donald Trump's war with Iran negatively with 61%, calling it a mistake and only a small share seeing it as successful. Overall, the war's unpopularity has now reached levels similar to the Iraq war at its peak and the Vietnam war in the 1970s. And also, Donald Trump's claim that this naval blockade is going to somehow just destroy Iran's economy and it's going to force the oil pipes to be so overpressurized that Iran Iran's not going to know what to do with all of its oil production.
9:46Ben Meiselas:I'll just share this with you. This is from a Bloomberg report and DropSite covered it, the Bloomberg report. So two weeks into this blockade, Iran is still loading crude from its Karg Island terminal onto tankers already in the Persian Gulf. DropSite reported today that in recent weeks, Iran has begun deploying improvised storage containers, including mothballed storage tankers in the Persian Gulf brought back into service to help deal with the blockade as a means of continuing production in the face of the dilemma posed by the blockade and avoiding production stoppages. Kepler reported Monday that Iran likely still has 12 to 22 days of storage capacity left.
10:24Ben Meiselas:Before the war, Iran had emptied a portion of its storage capacity. That's why Iran had tens of millions of barrels floating on the sea. It already foresaw the situation. A security analyst in Tehran close to the Iranian government told drop site. Secondly, 70 % of Iran's oil production is used at home and 30 % is exported abroad. Iran could re-channel its oil exports through land, through swapping and through many other means. And as we've reported and others have as well, Pakistan has opened up many lanes to basically just reroute this, not through the Strait of Hormuz and through the Persian Gulf, but just reroute it through the land.
10:59Ben Meiselas:And that's what Iran appears to be doing right now. A few other things I want to point out as well and share with you. You have, remember when Donald Trump said this yesterday about Robert E. Lee? Why couldn't that? This is what Donald Trump's view of the Civil War was, and that Robert E. Lee was a hero of the Civil War and great and an incredible general. Trump goes, why couldn't that have been settled, the Civil War? Maybe it could have been. Robert E. Lee was an amazing general. He took something that was supposed to end in a day and made it last four years. If Gettysburg didn't happen, he would have won.
11:37Ben Meiselas:And as our editor-in-chief, Ron Filipkowski, and anyone who knows anything basic about the Civil War would tell you, this entire thing is ridiculous. But Lee also demonstrated extremely poor generalship at Gettysburg that resulted in a third of his army becoming casualties. He also didn't take over command of the Army of North Virginia until 14 months after the war started. And he didn't say, you know, Donald Trump's line is that he goes, come up me hill, come Come up, mihil, my little mate. Mihil, no, you can't get up, mihil. Like Donald Trump like makes up an entire Civil War lore where the Confederates win in his own mind.
12:14Ben Meiselas:And Robert E. Lee is the big hero of it. And isn't it also just very telling with Donald Trump that for him, Robert E. Lee should be applauded when the Confederates should have lost in one day? He thinks it's amazing that they drew it out for four years. That gives you a lot of his insight. Finally, let me just tell you what they're talking about in Iran right now if the U.S. escalates. Professor Morandi over there who travels with the Iranian negotiating team, here's how he describes what Iran is planning in the event there's escalation. He says this time there will be counter assassinations and attacks on the leaders and the Arab nation neighbors that are allied with the United States.
12:57Ben Meiselas:Here, play it. Well, the only thing I can think of is that they will continue to do the same as they did before, assassinate, bomb infrastructure, terrorize the population, and also probably go more after critical infrastructure, as he had threatened to do so before. but the problem would be that the Iranians will strike back and we've heard just today from a very senior Iranian MP who is a part of the delegation in Islamabad that if any assassinations take place this time around that Iran will take out the leaders of the Arab regimes in the Persian Gulf, meaning Kuwait, Bahrain, the Emirates, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.
13:55That's what he said. And because he said that they are complicit, without them, this war can't take place. So if they start murdering our leaders, then they will destroy their palaces. And I would assume that would also mean destroying not just their critical infrastructure, but their intelligence agencies and their defense ministries and that sort of thing. So Iran will take its retaliatory violence to a very different level. So Iran has already said that critical infrastructure will be responded by striking critical infrastructure in this.
